As Mumbai drowns under heavy rainfall and a bad drainage system, the flood situation in Bihar is still at its worst and the death toll has risen to 482 now, as reported by PTI. It has been reported that over 1.71 crore people living in Bihar have been affected by the rain. The death toll in Uttar Pradesh has reached 101 and rescue operations are still underway. As many as 3,128 villages have been affected in UP, reports say. In Assam, it is estimated that around 15 lakh people have been hit by the floods. Over 225 animals were killed at the famous Kaziranga National Park.
