  7. With the passage of time, cricket has progressed beyond the boundary ropes, with the communication gap between players and fans virtually disappearing. People can contact the athletes personally and have wonderful, meaningful talks with them, which can lead to a greater relationship between the two parties. Unfortunately, the inverse is also true, and individuals can be exceedingly cruel to players for no apparent reason, all in an attempt to embarrass them and cast them in a bad light in front of the rest of the world. View this post on Instagram However, if you have the sense of humour and straightforwardness of New Zealand all-rounder James alias Jimmy Neesham, you can get yourself out of sticky circumstances while leaving the rest of your fans smiling. Recently ESPNcricInfo asked their Twitter followers for their thoughts on the new rule that the Indian Premier League has decided to set in motion ahead of the 2022 edition of the league. This new regulation suggests that the new man will be facing the first ball, even if the catch was taken after the batters crossed each other on the pitch. I don’t really understand the point of this. Has this rule ever been a problem? Also rewards batsmen who don’t stay aware of the match situation. Don’t like it. https://t.co/6yPsHjFNSk — Jimmy Neesham (@JimmyNeesh) March 16, 2022 Neesham responded to the tweet expressing how he felt about the new rule and suggested that he was not a fan of it. He asked if the old rule was ever a problem or a cause of concern for the players or the officials of the game in any shape or form and that it also rewards batters who aren’t aware of the situation of the match. Despite a completely rational way of thinking and clearly explaining his thoughts when specifically asked to, an Indian cricket fan, on Wednesday, told Neesham that no one cared about his views, regardless of whether the Kiwi liked it or not. Like it or not, nobody cares ur opinion — Pujari (@malappapujari44) March 16, 2022 Neesham, who has 336.2k followers on the micro-blogging platform, ended up responding to him. The cricketer exposed the hater's complete idiocy by revealing that he was following him on Twitter and ended up posting something unpleasant just to get some attention from the international player. You follow me… you actively seek out my opinion. https://t.co/HiBDDYGWvp — Jimmy Neesham (@JimmyNeesh) March 16, 2022 Ever since the New Zealand cricketer responded to the hater’s comments, other Indian cricket fans have also gotten on top of his case and are letting him know exactly how much Neesham’s opinions, especially on cricketing issues matter to them. This isn’t the first time Neesham has had to deal with a rude Indian cricket fan. A couple of years ago, for instance, the Kiwi cricketer was asked why he had “so few followers” on his Twitter handle (Neesham had 236.2k followers at the time) and the cricketer had responded with nothing but class and common sense. 8. One of the easiest ways to tell whether a picture is from India or not, would be to check for two things - chaos and traffic. As long as there is some sort of a rush in the pictures, whether it is in terms of people crowding in a market or cars crowding on a road to the point that it creates hour-long traffic jams, one could safely assume that it would be an Indian road. However, much to everyone’s surprise, and especially, Anand Mahindra’s, things are changing. © Twitter Recently a Twitter user shared an uncanny and rare picture of a road from one of the Indian cities and guess what? There was not even a single person trying to scoot their vehicle from the sidelines or cross over a red light. I have seen this kind of discipline only in Mizoram. There are no fancy cars, no big egos, no road rage, no honking and no तू जानता नहीं है मेरा बाप कौन है.... no one is in a tearing hurry...there is calm and serenity all around... pic.twitter.com/ZAkXNNcES4 — Sandeep Ahlawat (@SandyAhlawat89) March 1, 2022 User Sandy Ahlawat took to the microblogging site just a few hours ago to share a picture from Mizoram where people were actually following traffic rules, and honestly, more than a rare sight, it was a pleasant one. He wrote in the caption, “I have seen this kind of discipline only in Mizoram. There are no fancy cars, no big egos, no road rage, no honking and no तू जानता नहीं है मेरा बाप कौन है.... no one is in a tearing hurry...there is calm and serenity all around…” I have seen this kind of discipline only in Mizoram. Inspirational, with a strong message: it’s up to US to improve the quality of our lives. Play by the rules… A big shoutout to Mizoram.” With not even a foot out of line, it was indeed something to applaud, for in a country where the population is increasing by the second, to see that people are beginning to resort to the rules is but a great step forward. Beach road , Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh pic.twitter.com/h6DhhVGGJh — Nitish Gupta (@Palukurinitish) March 1, 2022For the first time seeing such traffic discipline in India. Bows to the people of Mizoram. Hope this propagates everywhere in our country. — iVeeRaM (@iVeeRaM) March 1, 2022Experienced the same in Meghalaya too.. — Sumit Garg (@sumit_garg_) March 1, 2022In Assam too trafic is discplined — Rakesh Tiwari (@RakeshT92440168) March 1, 2022Uttarakhand also pic.twitter.com/Enic5CpvpZ — Arjun Bir Sahi (@arjunbirsahi) March 1, 2022Several other users then ended up sharing similar pictures from their cities, where too, people were all in line, with no sign of road rage or accidents. One user even wrote, “For the first time seeing such traffic discipline in India. Bows to the people of Mizoram. Hope this propagates everywhere in our country.” And we wholeheartedly hope for the same! View the full article

  10. Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are without doubt two of the most successful captains to have led the Indian cricket team. They are also elite batters and have managed to turn their names into globally recognisable brands. Despite all the money they earn in the world, these cricketers tend to remain grounded and simply wish to spend their daily lives like casual human beings. However, when it comes to their fans, the case is not the same. View this post on Instagram Recently, Virat Kohli fans decided to fake ‘Goat Hastags’ on Twitter to create the illusion that the micro-blogging website had decided to honout him with a hashtag of his own, as it does for special people, organisations and events. For the uninitiated, ‘Goat’ is an abbreviation for ‘Greatest Of All Time’ and is often used by followers of different athletes from different sports as a means of support and placing them at the pinnacle of their respective games. Wow , Virat Kohli got a GOAT Symbol hashtag on Twitter GREATEST OF ALL TIME ... #ViratKohli𓃵 pic.twitter.com/SEWcjgZdaH — Cric-Crazy Lad (@CricCrazyLad) February 23, 2022Born to Rule #ViratKohli𓃵https://t.co/GPuHUZJpw4 pic.twitter.com/wd6zjOIcWx — ANUSH CHIKU𓃵 (@VK_addictor) February 23, 2022While Twitter does create specific hashtags on special occasions, attacking Virat Kohli’s name with the Goat emoji was not the doing of the social media platform. Instead, some of his followers simply added the animal’s emoji next to Kohli’s name in a hashtag and spread the false news all over the internet that Twitter had come up with the form of salutation. Surely enough, it did not take long for the rest of Kohli’s fans to believe the false narrative and within a couple of hours, the hashtag got trending all over the world. He has been a GOAT and always going to be. — V.Bakshi (@VivaanBakshi) February 23, 2022— Sandeep (@atomicsandeep) February 23, 2022The Goat .. — Seemant Sahu (@seemant_sahu_) February 23, 2022When some of the MS Dhoni fans caught wind of the hashtag business, even they started doing the same with the Chennai Super Kings skipper’s name. Shortly after, Rohit Sharma fans joined the gang and then it was simply a fiasco around Twitter and how all three of the Indian icons got the same emoji attached to them. It is incredible how all of these cricketers wish to be a part of each others’ success and have mentioned more than once of their camaraderie and chemistry on the field. Even then, practically every single day of the year, their fans managed to find one way or the other to draw comparisons between them and get into the fight about who is the better player. 11. It’s raining pan-India releases! After the spectacular success that was Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise, it’s time for Ravi Teja’s Khiladi. The film, directed by Ramesh Varma, marks the first official introduction of Telugu superstar Ravi Teja to the North Indian audience. He is already a known face in the Hindi speaking belts with the huge success of Hindi dubbed Telugu films like SS Rajamouli’s Vikramarkudu (remade in Hindi as Rowdy Rathore), Kick (remade in Hindi as Kick), Nela Ticket and Veera among others. © Pen Studios However, in the last few years, he was going through a low phase until Krack was released in 2020 and he delivered a much-needed success. With the pan-India release of Khiladi, the makers have opted for a similar route that Pushpa: The Rise, or KGF: Chapter 1 makers took, i.e low promotions and targeting tier 2 and 3 cities in Hindi speaking belts. We saw how Pushpa had almost zero promotions and opened low, but due to Allu Arjun’s popularity and the content of the film that was loved by the audience, it became a nationwide rage. © Pen Studios The film that opened to a Rs 3 crore mark eventually collected over Rs 100 crore and is still going steady at the box office even after over a month of its release. The buzz around Khiladi as it was released today is even lower than Pushpa, plus, unlike Allu Arjun who has had a row of blockbuster films, Ravi Teja is still recouping at the box office. So, will Khiladi establish Ravi Teja’s pull at the box office and also turn him into the next pan-India star like Allu Arjun, Prabhas and Yash? The initial reaction to the film is positive. One fan tweeted, “#khiladi first half dinemma interval bang !!! Paid trackers enta cheppina word of mouth is very good here in banglore”. © Pen Studios Another wrote, “Ravi anna masss Music dsp Heroines Migata anta scrap...Gk vishnu shot chesina portions bagunayi.... #khiladi”. For that, the content of the film has to be liked by the people. © Pen Studios If that happens, there is no doubt that Khiladi will head the Pushpa and KGF way and Ravi Teja will join Allu Arjun, Prabhas and Yash as the next pan-India star. 12. The nation bid an emotional goodbye to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on Sunday. The funeral took place at Mumbai's Shivaji Park and had dignitaries from all walks of life in attendance. Shah Rukh Khan also attended the cremation ceremony and read a ‘dua’ for her soul. The video of which has been going viral and in the video, he is seen saying a prayer, lifting his mask and blowing sideways- a gesture typically adapted by Muslims while praying for the departed. A touching gesture of blowing a dua (prayer) by SRK deliberately being misinterpreted as spitting. Ignorance and malice. The largest statue of equality can’t help this deliberate hate. https://t.co/8ZZllqlBw5 — Gargi Rawat (@GargiRawat) February 6, 2022 Sadly, he was subjected to communal hatred as people said he was spitting on Lata Mangeshkar’s mortal remains. For those who have known Shah Rukh Khan and have been following him closely, you have an idea that he respects humanity and all religions. As he married Gauri who’s a Hindu and he never asked her to convert because there’s a balance in their religious philosophies. In one of the older interactions in Koffee With Karan as quoted by International Business Times, she said, “There is a balance, I respect Shah Rukh's religion but that doesn't mean that I would convert and become a Muslim. I don't believe in that. I think everybody is an individual and follows their religion. But, obviously there should be no disrespect. Like Shah Rukh would not disrespect my religion as well.” View this post on Instagram As parents belonging to different faiths, they inculcate both values to their kids. She said since SRK's parents are no more, she is the one who is in charge of the festivities and celebrations at home. She added influence would be more of the Hindu part on the kids and family as she has been taking care of it. Explaining her part, she said, “Shah Rukh, he doesn't have any parents, unfortunately. If they were there, the elderly people in the house, they would have taken care of. But, there's nothing like that in our house. It's me who takes charge be it Diwali or Holi or any festival. So that's why the influence of my kids would be a lot with the Hindu part of the ... but the thing is that, Aryan is so into Shah Rukh that he would follow his religion, I feel. He would always say 'I am a Muslim'. When he tells this to my mother, she goes, 'what do you mean?'."
