  1. We all make mistakes and we all learn, at least we try to. Our favourite Bollywood stars are no different. While this movie making factory dishes out movies like crazy with so many new faces to experiment with, some movies only work for the beloved super stars acting in them. After all, loyalty has a price. However, some movies saw some of the biggest stars losing their senses and pelting out such bad performances that it legit hurt their fans. Here are six movies where some of the best actors gave really bad performances: 1. Love Story 2050 Our 'desi' girl is a global icon today with volumes of great works that speak for her. When she is not slaying on the red carpet or working on a good project, she is spotted in some virtual PDA with her beloved husband Nick Jonas. However, long before PeeCee became a Hollywood star, Love Story 2050 saw her dishing out a bad performance and as per rumours, it was reportedly because of her not-so-good relationship with her ex-flame Harman Baweja. 2. Khushi Bebo is one gorgeous actor who can look fiery and dish out immensely fiery performances in equal measure. However, it is a known fact that in her initial days of Bollywood, she signed some of the random projects but Khushi kind of tops the list, because what was that performance, you queen? 3. RGV Ki Aag You are not supposed to touch master pieces like Sholay because that is like playing with fire. And looks like, this is exactly what RGV wanted to do when he made this dud and managed to make BIG B look so intensely bored in this movie, that it probably made it to his regret list soon enough. 4. Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage There is a reason why Hrithik Roshan is known as a Greek God. Those looks, that ripped body and a talent house of wonderful acting, I have no idea what went into him prepping up for this movie where nothing at all looked good to us. Why, Hrithik? 5. Besharam Ranbir Kapoor's work speaks for him. With tremendous acting done by this genius of an actor in films like Rockstar and Barfi, this movie has no explanation of how it landed in his kitty and why! 6. Dil Ne Jisse Apna Kaha Salman Khan's screen presence is strong enough to get the cash registers ringing but we have no logical explanation for what went into him doing this movie with Preity Zinta and Bhumika Chawla. Three good looking people, one badly written script. So glad that bhai is back to doing Dabangg and entertain us in a way which only he can do. View the full article
  2. Not just in the Indian cricket team, Hardik Pandya is definitely someone with an unconventional sense of style that stands out rather easily, even among B-Town celebs. Not just on the cricket field but outside of it too, Hardik is one of the best-dressed sportsmen in the country. Amongst celebrities who love to dip their toes in high fashion like Diljit Dosanjh and Badshah, Hardik is not too far behind. From splurging on blingy Versace sneakers) to a Louis Vuitton shirt that costs as much as the rent of a sea-facing apartment in Mumbai, Hardik has pulled it all off with some aplomb. All said and done, accessorising is clearly Hardik Pandya's MVP in styling his outfits. Recently for Katy Perry's welcome party at Karan Johar's place, he was spotted in an all-black outfit, with a neon blue jacket tied around his waist. To complete the look, he had chosen a blingy silver chain with a pair of white high-top Louis Vuitton sneakers with a chunky gold chain from their SS19 collection. Take a look: © Viral Bhayani It is a regular pair of white high-top sneakers with Louis Vuitton trinkets attached left, right and center of the silhouette. The gold chunky chain on his sneakers takes his outfit to another level. We wonder if Katy Perry was taken aback with the kind of bling that Hardik Pandya was flashing through his chunky accessories. 3. 2019's late-October turned out to be an interesting time for those looking to scratch that festive itch. While most of the country planned out vibrant desi outfits for Diwali, this year's festival of lights also shared the week with a rather different, darker holiday - All Hallows' Eve, more commonly known as Halloween. And with Comic-Con on the horizon for Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi all through the end of 2019, we went down to Delhi's hottest Halloween party in search of inspiration - Bacardi's #NightOfTheBat - CarnEvil of Horrors. © Bacardi/Over 2,000 attendees made the most of this spooky spectacle. With great dance music, hip-hop acts and horror-themed cocktails, the party itself was one to be remembered - but what really made the occasion so special was the crowd itself - a crowd of over two thousand Delhiites donned costumes with incredible levels of detail and effort. While there was no shortage of Jokers, vampires, ghosts n' ghouls, I stepped out in my own Terminator-themed duds on the hunt for standout costumes with a unique, interesting story to tell. Costume Highlights As far as seeking inspiration goes, you'd be hard pressed to find better variety. From all-original creations to faithful reproductions and everything in between, we saw superheroes, supervillains, classic horror figures and many more unique, unexpected twists on the dancefloor. © Sharan Sanil/Arsalan takes on the mask of Kaneki Ken, protagonist of horror-action anime, Tokyo Ghoul. Pop culture today isn't a one-way street anymore, where the world laps up whatever is thrown at them by mainstream western media. We're more connected than ever before to Japanese and Korean media as well - it's not too rare to find someone into K-Pop and K-Dramas, or Anime series. Anime fan Arsalan picked up the suitably grim and grisly series Tokyo Ghoul, representing its main character, the half-dark, half-light Kaneki Ken. © Sharan Sanil/Tanvir and Disha take their own American history detours, as the quintessential '90's kid' and an Apache tribeswoman. Another unique spin on costumes is this all-American blast-from-the-past duo. Tanvir's costume brings back memories of Will Smith's Fresh Prince persona from the early 90s - the gangsta' rap chains, oversized basketball jerseys and gravity-defying low-slung denims took me right back to that era. Disha, on the other hand, took her own Burning Man-style Apache avatar all the way to 11 - just look at that headdress! © Sharan Sanil/Khalid's netagiri costume definitely seized a landslide victory at the venue - I'd vote for him. Perhaps my favourite costume of them all was Khalid Wani's neta costume - complete with a siren-led VVVIP style entry to the venue that absolutely blew the competition away. Perhaps the most terrifying reality of India is its power-hungry political class after all. And his tongue-in-cheek satire came packaged with campaign stickers, which several party-goers proudly wore. “Halloween is a western thing, and all this pop culture is fine. I love my country however, and I want to put our representation ahead here as well,” he shares. © Sharan Sanil/Kabir and Mayank in sequined, glitzy 'disco-diva' robes. Along with pop-culture, Halloween also allows several members from India's LGBTQ+ community to self-express in a much more open environment than everyday life. Several queer folk represented themselves in drag and even classical greek depictions of homoeroticism. Stylists Kabir and Mayank designed their own 'disco-diva' outfits for the event, glittering in pink and blue on the dance floor. As a whole, the event was an incredible fusion of culture and music - even a surprise performance from rapper DIVINE sent the crowd into a wild frenzy. © Bacardi/DIVINE takes up the stage. All in all, it was an incredible experience that celebrated the capital's creativity and diversity - one we'd definitely urge you to visit next year - we hope you've got some cool new ideas for Comic-con too! 4. Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap have been with each other through thick and thin for 11 years now. Today, the two are celebrating their 11th wedding anniversary and took to social media to express their love for each other. The romance between the two has only grown stronger in these passing years. Ayushmann took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of Tahira and wrote a sweet note for his wife. He wrote, "Eleven years with this beautiful girl. Got butterflies of all kinds while posting this picture. Umm Happy anniversary @tahirakashyap." 5. Back in the late 90s, Bollywood was in a state of constant metamorphosis. Cool, young people from all over India demanded relatable, non-traditional content to watch on their newly-purchased TV sets - and in 1998, Channel V answered with the considerably successful House Arrest chat show. It was on this set that the long and storied saga of Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak's creative association began. Pathak and Shorey on the sets of Ranvir, Vinay Aur Kaun? © Star Network “Ranvir and I met for the first time when we were doing this show for Channel V, called House Arrest,” explains Pathak. “It was an Indi-pop show that we both used to host.” House Arrest went on to enjoy a fair amount of success - something that Shorey suggests was due to nailing down each others' comedic timing. Pathak follows by explaining just how open-minded and free their environment was at Channel V. “Fortunately for us at that time, the creatives and bosses gave us a free rein to do whatever we wanted to do. And we did. We did anything and everything under the sun, and it retained popularity. Because of the madness we kind of brought in together. Pathak and Shorey in Mixed Doubles.© Handmade Films The time was indeed ripe for change. During and before the early 2000s, urban India was swept away with several fantastic examples of TV writing that are still enjoyable today - Hum Paanch, Captain Vyom, Tara and more. Shorey and Pathak however, weren't interested in successful formulas and the like - they were in it for a good laugh. “There's a craziness that became the soul of everything we created, and it doesn't stop there,” adds Pathak. “There was this new brand of humour that we became a part of creating. Comedy had a very specific face and quality in those days, for both TV and films. Then we came in, not being experts at anything! Two brats…” he mutters, trailing off into a guffaw. “We wanted to do everything, just because we hadn't been asked not to yet. It was like two mischievous children who wanted to play with all the toys,” Pathak admits. “It became the rule, that there were no rules! That's how we created our space... actually, it got created. We weren't doing anything with an objective in our minds, to be honest. We were just doing it because it was fun. Because we had the platform to do it, we could indulge in our madness and make things entertaining. Even presenting a song on the channel, we made sure that we were entertaining for both ourselves and the people watching us.” Pathak and Shorey in Bheja Fry © Handmade Films Soon enough, their talent gained even more recognition and finesse through the early 2000s, culminating in 2006 with Khosla Ka Ghosla and Mixed Doubles. This was then followed up with Bheja Fry - which many consider to be the duo's best (and funniest) film together. © Twitter/Vinay Pathak “So that's how it started, our association, and of course it went further. We did films together, we hosted TV together, we now do theatre together. We're even neighbours - we live in the same wing, the same building.” “Do we hang out all the time? No,” he laughs. “He's very busy, and so am I sometimes. If and when we do get the chance though, we catch up. We just live a floor apart!” Regarding Shorey's latest venture into comedy with The Office's Indian remake. “I think we should have been together [in The Office.] I'm not saying anything to the makers... If we did it together, it would have been great,” he considers, with a smile. Aside from a two-decade long history, both actors have an immense amount of respect and love for each other. It's a friendship and creative collaboration that's lasted the test of time and box office demands. If you're a doubter, just look at the words which Pathak uses. “It's a friendship that will definitely last forever - that's one thing I could say. There's a comfort, a warmth in each other's company, because there's a lot to learn from each other as well. We have a pool of friends - we all love to create, love, laugh and work together. It's warming to know there's a friend right there for you, always.” Now that's how you describe a bromance.
  6. Well, we're back with your weekly dose of PUBG addiction stories. No, it's not a piece of sad news about someone giving up on their marriage or getting arrested for the game. It's actually about something cool. Or, a little extra, depending on how you look at it. An Indian guy decided to take his PUBG addiction to a whole new level by giving his SUV a PUBG-style makeover. Yes, he modded his Tata Nexon into a PUBG wagon that's definitely going to attract a lot of eyeballs on the road. Yes, see if you've spotted this PUBG-themed SUV somewhere on the road. The mod is based on a kit called 'The Red Rhino'. It comes with blacked-out roof and wing mirrors. Also, the chrome accents seen on the original version of the car have been replaced with glossy black elements. In fact, even the alloy wheels have been completely blacked out. Additionally, the car also has some PUBG stickers and a replica of a pan on the dashboard, because why not? © YouTube In case you're interested, you can turn your SUV into PUBG wagon too. The Red Rhino kit will cost you Rs. 35,000. The PUBG accessories and the stickers will cost Rs. 4,500. Of course, you can always choose to go a little extra, but that'll cost you more money.
  7. Drake means well, but even he can't help but unintentionally cause a lot of damage. Drake's curse is a proven phenomenon that has been building up for years now. Basically, whenever Drake supports anyone publically - mostly a sportsperson or a sports team - they end up losing their next big match. Now, fans are worried for Arya Stark's well-being all because of Drake. The King of the North shouting out everyone's favorite Stark! ðº @Drake #BBMAs pic.twitter.com/MEhLAzKiTM — Billboard Music Awards (@BBMAs) May 2, 2019 This is not a one off thing, all the data and proof for it has been meticulously recorded by people over the years. The curse apparently hurt Alabama in this year's college football championship, cost Serena Williams the US Open in 2015, even got the Kentucky Wildcats eliminated in 2013, caused the Golden State Warriors' 2016 collapse in the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, to name a few. There are probably more examples of the 'Drake Curse' and people are just hoping it doesn't affect fictional characters as such. While accepting his Billboard Music Award for Male Artist Of The Year last night, he gave a shoutout to Arya Stark and appreciated all the 'work she put in'. Everyone one the internet is praising Arya for being a badass, especially in the latest 'Game Of Thrones' episode, but there's a difference in everyone and Drake, as we discussed earlier. People are now worried about Arya and we all know who will be blamed now if she dies in the upcoming episodes. Well, Drake here's hoping this is the Drake Curse exception otherwise you'll have the GOT fandom - which is basically every person ever - blaming you. Oh no, Drake just cursed Arya. https://t.co/NPuvuex5eZ — Sean, from the internet (@theshow55) May 2, 2019 Yep. Drake's curse better not apply to fictional characters! Publicly jumping on Team Arya after she already won the battle is extremely in Drake's bandwagon fan wheelhouse https://t.co/xRj7LM2NRD — Becky Hammer (@beckyhammer) May 2, 2019 It's cool as long as you don't know about the curse. drake literally just said "shout out to arya stark for putting in that work last week" in his acceptance speech and i've honestly never seen the billboard music awards before but it is now my favorite one — Jamie (@Jmw3iss) May 2, 2019 There will be, I can guarantee it right now. I just have this strong feeling that Drake's next hit is going to have some Game of Thrones reference lyric about Arya Stark.. it's something he would do — sad naruto flute (@FaithRies) May 2, 2019
  8. Before you start reading this article, please make sure you have watched season 8 episode 3 of 'Game of Thrones', for this one is full of spoilers, and surprises. Now that it's out of the way, we can get to the point. The Night King is dead. And who killed him? The one and only ninja assassin, slayer of entire houses, stabby little girl (not so little anymore after her 'interaction' with Gendry) Arya freakin' Stark. (c) Hotstar It came as a shock to everyone, but in hindsight, there was one scene that almost tried to tell us, point by point, that this is what is going to happen. The scene we are referring to is the much awaited reunion scene featuring Jon and Arya. Take a look at it here once more, before we delve deeper into discussion. Number 1: Arya sneaks up behind Jon Snow. Jon didn't so much as hear her come, to the point that that's how they start their conversation. He asks her: "How did you sneak up on me?". If that's not proof enough that Arya Stark perhaps is the biggest sneakmaster warrior there ever was, we don't know what is. (c) Hotstar Number 2: Arya doesn't answer the question. Instead, she asks: "How did you survive a knife through the heart?", to which Jon truthfully responds, "I didn't." We now know that Arya probably was just confirming whether it's possible to survive a knife through the heart. This is exactly what she did to the Night King, snuck up on him, and pushed her dagger through. (c) Hotstar Number 3: This is the exact location where she kills the Night King. The very same place. Has she been practicing? She did successfully manage to sneak up on Jon, who is, by the way, one of the best fighters in Westeros. The Night King is perhaps a better fighter, with all his magic, but he clearly couldn't escape Arya's crazy skills that she painstakingly obtained in Braavos while training under the Faceless Man. (c) Hotstar Guess they have been trying to tell us all along. Anyway, take a bow, Arya Stark!
  9. What can I say? Oh God, I am a mess right now! Anyone who knows anything about me knows I am a Disney nerd to my core, so obviously, anything and everything associated with it instantly become my new obsession. And right now, it's the new trailer for 'Aladdin' that I've been watching on repeat. I remember losing my sanity when the first trailer had dropped last month, as we got the first glimpse of a lot of major characters including the oh-so-fabulous Genie. via GIPHY The new trailer, which arrived last night, finally showed us more than a glimpse of Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie and was almost a confirmation of how magnificent this movie is going to be. So, here are 10 moments from the new trailer that have only whetted my appetite for the movie: 1. Princess Jasmine In All Her Finery via GIPHY The trailer opens with Jasmine walking down the palace stairs with Rajah, her faithful pet tiger, right behind her. Yes, she is beautiful and looks very regal indeed, however, my only point of concern is that pink outfit. I know, I know, I should not compare it frame-by-frame with the original version, but I can't help it. The Jasmine I know wears blue and has long, flowing hair that can leave Rapunzel green with envy. But…let's see how it turns out. 2. Genie Transforming Aladdin Into Prince Ali via GIPHY Yup, our boy is ready to win the heart of his Princess, with a little help from his new blue friend. Oh, I can't wait to see the full-fledged scene once it hits the theatres. 3. Jasmine Not Looking Very Impressed With Prince Ali via GIPHY Well, Aladdin has successfully transformed into a Prince and is making his way to the royal palace to meet Jasmine, in an out-of-this-world procession. But is it enough? Our Princess doesn't really look that impressed here! 4. Genie Giving Some Serious Gyaan To Aladdin via GIPHY “I made you look like a Prince on the outside, I didn't change anything on the inside. Prince Ali got you to the door, but Aladdin has to open it.” Wow. I mean, I can see this gem of advice being totally applicable in all our lives as well. No matter how we transform from the outside, it's how we are from the inside that matters at the end of the day. 5. “Do You Trust Me?” via GIPHY AAAAAAA! I screamed so hard at this part. It was just like from the original version. Even the voice of Aladdin, played by Mena Massoud, sounds like the one from the animated movie. Now that's a good sign, folks! 6. Aladdin + Jasmine + Magic Carpet = A Whole New World! via GIPHY Sigh…I will not lie, I had tears in my eyes when I heard the first bars of this iconic song. Naomi Scott's (who is playing Jasmine) voice is incredible and Lord, I could also see myself singing this at the top of my voice in the movie halls. Also, did you see that Magic Carpet ride? 7. The Almost-Kiss On The Balcony via GIPHY Pretty sure we're gonna get to see the full smooch when the movie is out, but this was not bad either. The Magic Carpet giving a little nudge to Aladdin to help him make his move is just so incredible to look at. Can't wait to see more of the Carpet, we all know how crucial it is to the plot. 8. Jafar Or Iago Possibly Chasing Aladdin & Jasmine via GIPHY Not really sure who it is at this point, but we get a blink-and-miss shot of a giant red bird chasing our lovebirds, who are trying to escape on the Magic Carpet. Both the trailers, so far, have not really given us a better picture of the evil side of Jafar…who is like, the main antagonist of the movie. Here's hoping we get to see the evil wizard in all his diabolical glory soon.
  10. It's a great month for every Marvel fan and not just because 'Avengers: Endgame' is just a few days away. No, it's not just because of seeing everyone onscreen on April 26th but all the build up and promotion till then. Recently, the cast, along with The Russo Brothers and Kevin Fiege, had a fun press conference in LA and talked about so many things, including Cap's beard. Honestly, the press tour for 'Endgame' has just begun and we've already been getting so many hilarious moments from the cast - are they trying to make up for a lot of people probably dying in the movie? - but it's still to see how much everyone loves each other and how much everyone loves to troll each other. Starting it off well, Chris Hemsworth showed some love to his fellow Avengers by straight up vandalizing their 'Endgame' posters. In the caption, he wrote, “Helping out some fellow avengers with new fresh looks. I can now add make up artist to my powers.” The first victim was Paul Rudd and he got a cool new moustache. With so much discussion about his beard, Cap's new look makes sense. Did you know Tony Stark has a Thor inspired face tattoo? Neither did we. Gwyneth Paltrow got a pass because “she's too pretty”, bur Chris so are Evans, Paul Rudd, and RDJ. The grand finale was none other than Hawkeye! Here's the video. 11. Shah Rukh Khan is also known as King Khan, not only because he is a tremendously good actor and rules over the hearts of millions of film lovers, but also because he is a true gentleman. Fans love him and swear by his words of wisdom. They take his words to heart and often treat him as a mentor. © YouTube That should not come as a shock because SRK is a great orator with a capability of stirring people's hearts with mere words and leaving a great impact on their minds. SRK might have just used this superpower for a great cause and the result is heartwarming. Recently, as part of the Meer Foundation initiative, Shah Rukh met acid attack survivors before their corrective surgeries, however, that was not all. While interacting with these strong women (many of whom were also his fans), he also shared some personal insights on life and facing it head-on, that is absolutely inspiring! SRK told the women to stay strong and live with their heads held high. He further told them that as long as they believed that they wanted to make something of themselves in life, the rest will fall in place. © Twitter He also underlined the importance of working for ourselves and being independent and said, “It's important for each one of us to make sure that we work for ourselves. We should do our own work without depending on another individual. Even if it's a small job, we should be fending for ourselves. And at the end of the day, we must be independent.” © YouTube The video from this meeting has since been widely circulated on social media and it's like a breath of fresh air to see these wonderful women smiling and giggling post their interaction with SRK. © YouTube Perhaps he doesn't know it, but we are sure that through this interaction SRK has touched many lives, and given many other survivors hope for the future. Shah Rukh Khan started the Meer foundation in 2017 and it focuses on improving the lives of acid-attack survivors.
  12. The character of Bhallaldeva is perhaps the only 'villain' ever, that got more attention than the 'hero' himself. The reason? The sheer charisma of the actor who played it. Rana Daggubati has it all - women want him, men want to be like him, kids idolize him. And why not? The man, apart from being an actor worth his salt, is quite the looker, add to that his raw charisma and inimitable beard game - and we get 'the full package'. His style game is super strong as well, and fashion designers and stylists know it. With a height of almost 6'3", he has slayed it on the runway multiple times. Here are some of those instances. 1. 13. A British man who was HIV-Positive has become the second adult in the world to be cleared of the AIDS virus. Christened as “the London patient”, he got a second chance at a healthy life after receiving a bone marrow transplant from an HIV resistant donor. If you are wondering how that might be possible, then listen up. The donor, who is not related to the patient has a genetic mutation that is known as “CCR5 delta 32” which grants resistance to HIV virus! Imagine the possibilities this mutation has given rise to. © Twitter The London patient contracted HIV in 2003 and it was because of Ravindra Gupta, a professor and an HIV biologist, who was then working at University College London, and was co-leading a team of doctors treating the man, that this discovery could be made. It has almost been three years since the London patient received the bone marrow transplant and over 18 months since he has come off antiretroviral drugs, and recent, highly sensitive tests have still not shown any trace of an HIV infection relapse. However, though Professor Gupta told the media that, "There is no virus there that we can measure. We can't detect anything", he also added that his patient was "functionally cured" and "in remission", but reminded everyone that "it's too early to say he's cured." © theconversation However, scientists are taking this case as proof that they will be able to end AIDS one day. The world met its first functionally cured HIV patient in 2007, named Timothy Brown. Brown had received a similar treatment in Germany and came to be known as the Berlin patient. Brown has since moved to the US and according to experts, is still HIV-free. These discoveries are making us more hopeful of a future where fatal diseases such as AIDS and cancer will finally get cured.
  14. Robert Downey Jr gives the best speeches, no one can honestly disagree on that. He just has that charm about him. Remember that emotional speech from 'Avengers: Infinity War's' premiere last year? And, he is fiercely loyal and loves all his friends to bits. So, it wasn't surprising to see him act like a proud dad after Rami Malek's Oscar win for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Celebrating the win, RDJ posted a video on his Instagram praising Rami and his incredible achievement. Image1 In his speech, he said, “I say, unequivocally, Rami Malek is the front of the bloodline of his acting generation, I think he has witnessed it here tonight and from an endomorphic loner of 'Mr Robot' to the complete showman that he displayed here. 15. Tom Holland has done it again! And, if your mind didn't automatically go to giving spoilers right now, I'm sorry but you're not a true Marvel fan. Tom, along with Mark Ruffalo, are truly the best and the worst because of their tendency to give out spoilers. It's hilarious and even they know how much they screw up. Mark has reached a point where he's the one joking about it and was even fake fired by the Russo Brothers. And well, Tom is just Tom. View this post on Instagram Lmao same. #CommentsByCelebs A post shared by Comments By Celebs (@commentsbycelebs) on Jan 18, 2019 at 6:43pm PST But unfortunately, this is not the kind of spoiler he's given this time. Apparently, an old interview of him promoting 'Avengers: Infinity War' with Benedict Cumberbatch has resurfaced for a very important reason, as it basically confirmed a theory everyone already knew about. We knew that quantum realm will play an important part in the upcoming final Avengers movie, what with Scott Lang stuck there alone at the end of 'Ant Man And The Wasp' and then somehow appearing in the first trailer of 'Endgame', but obviously, Marvel will never confirm it. But thankfully, Tom did, and he did it before even 'Infinity War' released. Coming back to the interview and the unassuming spoiler, when both the actors were asked that out of the two, who flubbed the most lines, Benedryl Cucumber named himself but was Tom was quick to defend him. Tom said, “He has the most difficult lines, though. He has to talk about so much Quantum Realm... stuff. I just have to talk about, 'Yeah man, that's awesome!' So mine's easy, but his is all so difficult.” Well, back then a lot of people might have thought that it was an 'Infinity War' spoiler, but now we know Doctor Strange didn't mention quantum realm even once in that movie. This can only mean one thing, Doctor Strange is obviously coming back and he could also be the one to save Ant Man. Moreover, it seems like the quantum realm is the answer to all of the OG Avengers' problems and it will help undo Thanos' snap, and all the destruction it caused, and bring back all the 'dusted' characters. I can't stress this enough, but honestly, April 27th cannot come soon enough.
  16. For time immemorial, popcorn has been mostly (and strictly) associated with visits to the cinema halls around town. Eventually, it somehow morphed into an unspoken agreement between the parties heading out to the theatres, that intervals call for a bucket or two of salted popcorns and one of the many fizzy drinks to go with it, at the least. Times changed, PVRs came into existence and the menus at the movie theatres also went on to become more extensive. But the good ol' popcorn remained a hot favourite with the movie-goers, with its sprinkling of salt and nostalgia to keep us company through the many hours we spent laughing and crying at the silver screen. (c) MensXP So when the time came for Chirag Gupta to give wings to his entrepreneurial dreams, he decided to reintroduce how Indians enjoyed their most trusted movie companion - popcorn. Chirag, along with his friend and co-founder Ankur Gupta came up with the plan to bring gourmet popcorns to Indians, and that's how premium popcorn brand 4700 BC came into being in 2013. Ever since, the duo has changed how Indians have interacted with popcorn. The gourmet makeover that 4700 BC gave the humble popcorn became an instant hit, and there was no looking back after that. The Backstory Back in 2012 when Chirag had been already working with Deloitte Consulting in the US for five years, he decided that it was time to go back home and start something of his own, because working for someone else was not an option he was ready to consider. Chirag shares that, “at that point, my thought was that now I have enough money, so let's go back to India and try something of our own.” (c) MensXP Once he got back to the country, Chirag got in touch with his childhood friend Ankur and shared his plans with him. Fortunately for both of them, they were equally thrilled by the prospect of building something of their own and taking it to new heights. The Initiation Once the discussions reached fruition, they decided to explore the growing food industry in India. Soon plans were laid out for gourmet popcorn (and a few other ideas), and “the next thing we knew, we hired a chef who started developing out recipes. (c) MensXP Soon the duo learnt about the intricacies of the business, which was already popular in the US, and realised that they would have to import everything from machinery to raw materials from the US. Once the setup bit was sorted, things began to fall in place for their company. But Chirag tells us that the major high came from “getting a store in DLF Saket, which was a premium location in Delhi. We got the first store running there and the response was superb.” The Next Step The first year went well for the company, but soon they realised that they need to get better at their own game to retain their consumers. That's the only challenge they faced since no one else in India was doing something similar, so no one was really aware of the nuances of this line of business. (c) MensXP Talking about challenges Chirag says that, “it is important in every entrepreneur's life because until you see the pain and challenges, you don't think about taking the business to its next level.” 4700 BC Today Today, 4700 BC popcorns are available in 18 different flavours as opposed to the three basics flavours they offered in the beginning. What's more, 4700 BC is available across all PVR cinemas and the company sells approximately 12 lakh units every month! The company's turnover was at Rs. 10 crores in 2017-18 and it only continues to get better and bigger with every passing day. Learn more about 4700 BC from its co-founder as he shares industry insights and advice for aspiring entrepreneurs to make it big in their venture.
  17. Lady Gaga has always stood out, no matter what, and her performance at the Grammys obviously couldn't help but be memorable, and apparently meme-able as well. As usual, she set the stage on fire with her solo rendition of 'Shallow', the emotional ballad from her Oscar-nominated film, 'A Star is Born', but little did she know that one moment from her incredible performance would make her the only Grammys meme that matters. She won three Grammys this time - Best Song Written for Visual Media for 'Shallow', Best Pop Solo Performance for 'Joanne', and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Bradley Cooper for 'Shallow' - but the most important award was Twitter's seal of approval for her deathly stare at the end her performance. 18. If you're crushing really hard on Yami Gautam then you must be in a place to praise her excellent performance in 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'. The underrated actress did a phenomenal job in her role for the film and it was well appreciated as well. The film, on an autopilot has become the first film of the year to cross the 100-crore mark. © Twitter With some relatable and real performances by the cast, we're actually hoping they get due recognition for it. But what's interesting is the fact Yami has already been appreciated for her role as an intelligence officer, by the 'core' people, who should be appreciating her role--the jawans. The actress has been lauded for her portrayal of an intelligence officer by the BSF regiment in Amritsar, while she was in the city to promote her film. © Zee Studio While in Amritsar, the jawans felicitated her and praised her performance. If you've seen 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', you'd know the depth and the dedication both the characters, that of Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam display. Yami also received a token of appreciation from the senior officers of the regiment. "BSF is the first line of defense of our country and it gives me immense pride to have met the jawans in person. I am overwhelmed by their kind gesture." Yami said while receiving the token. She also added that the entire team has been receiving a lot of appreciation for the great content they've delivered, all across the country, especially from the armed forces and the others who serve the country. © Twitter 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' is based on the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army on seven terrorist launch pads, across the Line of Control, on September 29, 2016, in a retaliation to terror attacks in the army camp of Uri. The film was a box office hit with everyone giving their best to the movie and towards the country's valour. Especially Yami Gautam, who's experiencing a new kind of josh now, we're guessing!
  19. Christmas is the season of joy and togetherness, a time when our homes are decorated, the tree is decked up and the family gets together to celebrate a time full of love. However, not everyone is lucky enough to have family or a place to call 'home' and that's where the humanitarian heroes of the world come into the picture. The Sikh community has always led by example when it comes to serving the world, and the amazing people and volunteers at UK's 'Langar Seva Society' organised a festive dinner for the homeless and even distributed gifts to ensure that the festival was celebrated together. They had a Santa Claus, carol singers but most impotantly, hearts full of warmth which ensured that the Chrsitmas party was exactly what the festive season was all about; joy, love and a sense of belongingness. This world and of all humanity still have hope in the form of beautiful people, who inspire us everyday to become a better version of ourselves.
  20. Ishaan Khatter made an impressive entry with 'Dhadak', and even though the movie couldn't keep up with its original Marathi version, everyone was convinced about Ishaan's acting prowess. Ever since his entry, it was expected that he would be compared with his big brother Shahid Kapoor, and let's just say he was. 21. What do you do when you realise your four-years worth of engineering degree isn't quite living up to your expectations, and the sound of your career path ascending towards global partnerships isn't something you are looking forward to anymore? Well, we are not sure about what anyone else would do in such a situation, but here is what Shantanu did - he bid adieu to his engineering degree from NIT Nagpur and quit his fancy job at McKinsey, to give men the best shaves of their lives. No, really. We are not kidding. © MensXP Shantanu Deshpande, a computer science engineer by degree and working with a globally recognised management consulting company McKinsey, ditched the “good life” in the blink of an eye, to give the smoothest shaving experience to the urban male population in India. It was a conversation with his US-based childhood friend Manu that really triggered the idea of setting up one of India's best selling men's grooming brand, Bombay Shaving Company, in October 2015. The conversation that revolved around the boom in men's grooming startups in the United States, and how these new and quirky newbies were taking on FMCG giants like Gillette, sent Shantanu into a tizzy, with the need to explore similar opportunities closer to home. After much research and deliberation, as well as detailed discussions with industry veterans, Shantanu realised that it was the right move to shake up the underserved and monopolised market - and there lay his chance! © MensXP Shantanu along with his Raunak Munot, Deepu Panicker and Rohit Jaiswal took the big plunge and co-founded the company playing on each one of their strengths, that seemed to completely fit with the company's core needs. What started out as 500 annual shipments in 2016, has scaled up to 10,000 shipments a month today. What's even better news for Shantanu is that the official website sees 300,000 average visitors every month! Today, Bombay Shaving Company functions on both online and offline routes of business, and their products are spread across four categories, namely shaving, bath, beard and skin. With a team of 60 young professionals, Bombay Shaving Company is trying to create a product range that distinctly stands out for its credible product quality. © MensXP Along with product innovations that the brand is trying to bring to their individual products, they are also trying to incorporate consumer feedbacks in their newest productions. Be it their single blade neo-retro razor or the beard care starter kit, each of their creation reflects the amount of research and passionate involvement that the final product has gone through. It is Shantanu's vision and desire to see his team grow to its fullest potential, all with risks, mistakes and failures, that makes this brand so different from others. With these guys being so invested in grooming the urban men to perfection, the future for Bombay Shaving Company only seems more bright. © MensXP Learn about the many challenges and successes that Shantanu's decision reaped in the longer run, and how Bombay Shaving Company went on to fulfill Shantanu's larger dream of seeing well-groomed men walking the face of this earth, in this exclusive conversation with MensXP.

  23. Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone's wedding has been pretty much the only topic that has been trending in Bollywood of late, till of course Nick-Yanka also joined the bandwagon. The last leg of the celebrations were held yesterday in Mumbai, where pretty much everyone was invited. While everyone looked like a million bucks, we couldn't help but notice one young lad, who fit right in, yet stood apart. We are talking about Arjun Tendulkar, the designated Prince of Indian cricket (Is Sachin the King or the God? Anyway, you get the drift). (c) Viral Bhayani Arjun looked like someone whom KJo will just swoop right in and sign a bunch of films with. His blingy yet sophisticated blue kurta, paired with the black Patiala trousers were understated, yet statement. (c) Viral Bhayani (c) Viral Bhayani What was striking about his appearance was how tall he looked. Well, he was standing next to his father, who's not so tall himself, so that helped a bit, but the outfit gave him a lot of height. The pairing of blue black in the ratio he wore them in had a lot to do in that area. (c) Viral Bhayani We also liked the fact that he chose to be basic, yet dignified. The choice of plain black Oxfords tell us that he's a no-nonsense kind of dresser who sticks to the tasteful basics. (c) Viral Bhayani All we can say is that, if he someday decides not to play cricket anymore, Bollywood will knock on his door right away. All the best, Arjun!
  24. Hershey's - the name evokes one of the most powerful forms of sweet cravings that mankind might be aware of. Be it Hershey's Kisses or Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, each one of us has some sentimental emotion attached to this brand name. Hershey's Kisses are more than mere chocolates, they became declarations of love while we were growing up. When we think about chocolate syrup, that's the name that pops into our mind by default, because we associate so many of chocolatey memories with Hershey's! © Wikipedia Such a known brand name, yet, how many of us know anything about the man after whom the chocolates bear their name? Milton S. Hershey is the name of the man with the magical hands, who blessed us with the milk-chocolate sweets that we all love so much. But did you know that Hershey had to overcome multiple failures to create something that would remain popular across many generations? Hershey didn't taste success the first two times he tried to turn his dream of making the best candies into a reality. He went completely bankrupt, but came back fighting for his dream and ended up beating all odds to build his own town from nothingness. The Backstory Hershey was born in the small town of Derry in Pennsylvania, and since his family was always on the move, because of his father's constant “get rich quick” schemes, Hershey didn't receive a very good education. © thefamouspeople He had attended six different schools by the time he was 13-years-old, and even though he was a smart kid, his mother decided to take him out of school after fourth grade, so he could learn a trade. Hershey started out as an apprentice to a printer, but didn't enjoy the job. After two years with the printer, his mother found him a new apprentice job with a candy making - and that was his first brush with what was to become the love of his life. Learning The Tricks Of The Trade Working at the Lancaster confectionary shop, Hershey learnt about the art of candy making. From caramels to fudge and peppermints, he tried his hands at everything, and thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience. He had finally found his passion. © Wikipedia The Big Leap & Failure Having found something he wished to do for the rest of his life, he decided to open his own candy business at the young age of nineteen. He borrowed money from his relatives to set up his business in Philadelphia. But as luck would have it, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make any profits. Soon, he ran out of money and had to close shop. The Second Fall Despite failing the first time, Hershey continued to chase his dreams and didn't give up. He moved to a different city and started to work with a candy maker. He gave another shot at his dream, and opened another candy shop in New York City. Unfortunately, he failed the second time as well. The Homecoming Hershey finally moved back to Lancaster, and started a new candy business, which specialised in making just caramels. This turned out to be a very successful venture for Hershey. Soon, he would open many candy-making factories and branches all over the country. This time, Hershey tasted sweet success. © hersheypa Inception of Hershey's Chocolates Post this success, Hershey decided to go even bigger. And he knew just how to do it. Chocolates!
