  1. Rauf had made a gesture that seemed like he was apologising to Afridi after taking his wicket during their PSL Eliminator match
  2. For a team that began their campaign with a loss, Mumbai Indians (MI) were once again underestimated by the opposition, pundits and probably fans as they succumbed to a crushing loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their last league match. Losing a bit of momentum, many felt the four-time IPL champions weren't up to the task this season. However, contrary to popular perception, all doubts were laid to rest by a rampant Mumbai brigade as they notched up a thumping 57-run win over Delhi Capitals (DC) to seal their berth in this season's final. Quinton de Kock (40) gave Mumbai a roaring start, while the likes of Ishan Kishan (55*) and Suryakumar Yadav (51) anchored the innings. But, it was Hardik Pandya's 14-ball 37 that powered Mumbai to a 200-run total. View the full article

  4. Suryakumar Yadav. Remember that name in the years to come. The 30-year-old cricketer has been in excellent form in domestic cricket and is now winning extremely difficult matches for his franchise in the greatest T20 league in the world. ‘I got this,’ he gestured after single-handedly destroying the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling attack in the 48th match of the Indian Premier League 2020 edition while playing for Mumbai Indians. View this post on Instagram Chasing a decent 164-run total built by RCB in the first innings, Mumbai were struggling to protect their batsmen from giving away wickets. At one point, they were 72-3 and hopes of winning were slim to none. This is where Yadav aka SKY decided to take matters into his own hands and started swinging for the fences, literally. A batting performance studded with ten 4’s and three 6’s, his unbeaten individual score of 79 runs off just 43 deliveries proved too hot to handle for Yuzvendra Chahal and Co. as MI won the match by five wickets and five deliveries to spare. View this post on Instagram What makes Yadav’s innings more impressive is the situation in which he performed like a superstar. A couple of days ago, he was snubbed from making it to the final roster ahead of India’s December tour of Australia for all three formats of the game. His absence from the Men in Blue caught the attention of avid fans and cricketing experts like Harbhajan Singh and Akash Chopra alike. Don’t know what else @surya_14kumar needs to do get picked in the team india.. he has been performing every ipl and Ranji season..different people different rules I guess @BCCI I request all the selectors to see his records — Harbhajan Turbanator (@harbhajan_singh) October 27, 2020On Wednesday, however, the fight for the win during his IPL contest against RCB felt a lot more personal. At the end of the 13th over of MI’s batting innings, SKY hit Dale Steyn’s ball towards covers where RCB and Team India captain Virat Kohli was standing. Kohli, out of the blue, thought of sledging the batsman who’d missed the biggest moment of his career by missing the opportunity to play for his country. So the 31-year-old veteran decided to silently walk up to him, while glaring into his soul, and cleaning the ball with his sweat. Suryakumar Yadav be like- I don't give a **** to you Kohli bro#MIvsRCB pic.twitter.com/I067jJTLSI — Ronaldo Singh Bhati (@KisTianoRonaldo) October 28, 2020 Yadav was not going to back up from this challenge, not after everything that’s happened to him. So he maintained eye-contact up until Kohli was standing right next to him and once the skipper approached, SKY calmly walked away, leaving Kohli red-faced. He then put on a show with the willow and led Mumbai Indians to win the match and command the best record in the entire tournament of 8 wins in 12 matches. In the absence of an unfit Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar’s years and years of predicament of batting under someone else’s shadow has finally begun to fade and the domestic cricket star is finally making a name for himself in the big leagues against international legends. That's that from Match 48 as @mipaltan win by 5 wickets.@surya_14kumar with an unbeaten 79. 5. Often labelled as one of the most popular and successful teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), to everyone's surprise this season, have looked a mere shadow of the three-time champions we cherished in the past. From losing key players, struggling for form to unfavourable results, nothing has gone CSK's way in the tournament this year. With seven losses in 10 matches, the Chennai brigade is currently languishing at the last spot in the points table. Their recent seven-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals (RR) has potentially ended their Playoffs hopes and the fans aren't impressed. Amid CSK's poor run, skipper MS Dhoni has drawn a lot of flak for the fortunes of the 'Yellow Brigade' this season. © Twitter/@IPL The Punjab opener had anchored the chase for his team with a brilliant knock of 77 runs which allowed them to tie the match and push it into a 'Super Over'. Facing a daunting task of defending just five runs in an over, Punjab were once again aided by Rahul whose brilliant piece of glovework, that led to the run-out of Quinton de Kock, allowed his team to tie the first 'Super Over' before eventually winning it in the second. My thala ️️ pic.twitter.com/Av7DUPyn8R — ɢαjαl (@Gajal_Dalmia) October 18, 2020 Rahul's performance with the willow had already earned him plaudits, but it was his exceptional run-out that became the highlight of the match. The right-handed batsman was lauded by cricket pundits and fans alike on social media. Amongst all the praise, one Punjab fan shared the photo of Rahul's run-out on Twitter alongside the caption: "My Thala". There is only one Thala Gajal and everyone knows who he is. — K L Rahul (@klrahul11) October 19, 2020 In response to the fan's tweet, Rahul, who can't seem to do any wrong this season, won many hearts by reminding everyone that there is only one Thala. "There is only one Thala Gajal and everyone knows who he is," Rahul replied. A thrilling win against Mumbai did give Punjab a ray of hope to turn their fortunes this season but the road ahead is extremely tough. Having lost six games in nine matches so far, the Rahul-led side have little margin for error if they intend to make the cut for the Playoffs this season. And, their next clash, which against table-topper Delhi Capitals (DC) on October 20, is not going to be easy either. View the full article
  6. In a rare occurrence during the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League, Chennai Super Kings picked a victory against SunRisers Hyderabad on Tuesday, beating them by 20 runs, winning their third match this year. With the uncanny strategy to make Sam Curran open the batting order, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s side saw some meaningful innings being played by Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu in the first half of the match. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@chennaiipl) This was followed by a decent performance by Karn Sharma and the CSK bowling attack, that was able to restrict some of the best names on the opposing team like David Warner and Jonny Bairstow under 25 runs per individual innings (even though Kane Williamson breathed some life in SRH’s failing efforts to chase the 167-run total). However, an eyebrow-raising incident occurred in the penultimate over of the match when Shardul Thakur clearly delivered a wide ball to Rashid Khan which was outside the tramline. As expected, the cameras showed umpire Paul Reiffel was raising his arms to gesture the extra delivery but he paused mid-way for some reason. FairPlay award goes to #CSK pic.twitter.com/ZiRUIaMCiu — (@Kourageous__) October 13, 2020 Eventually it was shown that CSK skipper and wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni wasn’t in agreement with the official and was already challenging his call from behind the wicket. Thakur too was showing his displeasure with the umpire’s call to give it a wide. Now normally, the umpire first gestures the wide ball, gives the batting team that one extra run and then speaks to the bowling team (if he feels the need to) but in this case, the official simply switched his mind before giving the wide and stood there cluelessly with his arms raised halfway through. It's not #Dhoni fault Clearly shows "Umpire" fault#IPL2020 pic.twitter.com/Nua3NKrPhn — Ƨ.K.ƧΉΛЯMΛ 🇮🇳 Go (@Suneel_IND) October 13, 2020 Surprised by what was happening on the field, Hyderabad captain David Warner was seen making angry gestures from the dugout as his batman Rashid Khan stood helplessly watching everything roll out in front of his eyes. Ironically, this isn’t the first time that ‘Captain Cool’ could be seen arguing with the umpires in ways that are simply against the spirit of the game. Last year, in a match against Rajasthan Royals, straight umpire Ulhas Gandhe called a no-ball on a Ben Stokes delivery but quickly took it back once CSK players took a couple of runs. When Ravindra Jadeja started arguing with the officials, Dhoni walked over the boundary line and came to argue with them while pointing a finger at him. Even though the umpires had messed it up big time, for Dhoni to enter the field and show such aggression was uncharacteristic of him. With just three wins in eight matches, Chennai Super Kings are currently seated at the sixth spot in the IPL points table but are only two points away from being in the playoff contention. 7. Salman Khan is extremely popular for his unabashed tongue in cheek remarks. It is a known fact that he is quite infamous for his kerfuffles with several celebrities. Here’s a look back at one such controversial video wherein he is seen engaging in a bittersweet argument with music composer, actor and singer Himesh Reshammiya. © Insta Himesh Reshammiya The most popular Salman Khan films for which Himesh has composed music include Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Tere Naam, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Kyon Ki, Bodyguard, Kick and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo among others. However, when Salman along with Katrina had come to the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, in which Himesh was one of the judges, to promote their film Yuvvraaj, both of them engaged in a bittersweet argument. This made Katrina extremely uncomfortable. While appreciating one of the contestants, Salman jokingly told her that Himesh will steal her song now. However, his joke didn’t go down well with Himesh who said he doesn’t steal songs. He even asked Salman to explain and said that he only did it once on request of the actor himself. And immediately Salman asked Himesh to sing that song, to which Himesh said, “Meri awaaz bahot buri hai aapne abhi kaha.” Then Salman asked him to “not worry because he has got used to his voice now.” This escalated further and Himesh said that God has given him this voice and people love it. Himesh further added, “Aap isi tarah buraai karte jaaiye, log mujhe pyaar karte jaayege.” With a smile on his face when Salman Khan said that this is how their tuning is and requested him to sing, Himesh said, “Uthaaye hue gaane Himesh Reshammiya nahi gaata.” Katrina Kaif who was sitting along with Salman got embarrassed and asked him to stop. Check out the full video here: Well, friends do argue but what’s your take on Salman’s statement? View the full article

  10. On Wednesday, India defeated West Indies in the second ODI at Visakhapatnam by setting a massive target of 388 runs. While all the cricket fans were rejoicing and celebrating the victory, there are two people who deserve, if not whole, but the majority of the credit for this victory - Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. While the opening duo's successful partnership of 159 and 102 got us the victory home, it was KL Rahul's funny gesture that turned out to be the best highlight from the match. In case you missed it, the gesture was of KL Rahul putting his fingers next to his ears after he touched a century. His fans think that's his style of celebrating hitting the three-digit mark. 11. Recently, President Ram Nath Kovind, in a kind gesture, paid attention to a policewoman who fell and had apparently twisted her ankle during an award function in the Capital. According to the PTI report, the cop was standing in front of the dais at Vigyan Bhawan during the first National CSR Awards function in the city, when she collapsed while the national anthem was playing. Subsequently after the anthem was over, President Kovind walked down from the dais along with Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman, and Union Minister Anurag Thakur to attend to the cop. Soon, the video of the incident went viral on social media. Check out the video here: #WATCH A woman security personnel deputed at National Corporate Social Responsibility Awards event collapsed during playing of National Anthem, today.President Kovind, FM Nirmala Sitharaman & MoS Finance Anurag Thakur came down the stage to inquire about her health. #Delhi pic.twitter.com/HUSvzkizHu — ANI (@ANI) October 29, 2019 Besides, President Kovind also offered the policewoman a bottle of water while having a brief conversation with her. VIP culture still exists in India and despite that, such kind gesture, which was both surprising and heartwarming, is totally worth appreciating. View the full article

  13. MCUs two favourite characters, Iron Man and Spider-Man have always been a fan favourite and the two share a strong bond both onscreen and off-screen. 14. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is the ideal example of how a mere idea and the passion to actualise it can snowball into something so massive and praise-worthy, having an impact, not only on the lives of the people involved in the making of these movies but also, the billions from various countries who can relate with these characters and make a commitment to them. Ever since the first piece of the puzzle was played with Robert Downey Jr. becoming Iron Man and really personalising the character of Tony Stark as himself, the seed was sown which would become this beautiful, magnificent tree in the next 11 years. What made these Marvel movies so special and different from the rest of the superhero movies of the past is the kind of effort put in the storytelling. Not only did the plots get into the deep integrities of character building but also took care of the tiniest of comic book details that we now know as 'Easter Eggs' and hid them across the MCU, making the experience even more awesome for the real fans. Credit: Iron Man 2 (2009), Marvel Studios Yet another attribute of Kevin Feigi's (President, Marvel Studios) vision was the small delights that came after the end credits of every MCU movie. Some gave us an insight about what to expect in the coming years, others were just to tickle our funny bones. Nonetheless, it was a great way to making the audience stay in the theatres until the name of every single cast member had appeared on the big screen. With time and the impressive post-credit scenes, it became a ritual for all MCU fans to patiently sit in their chairs and wait for what's next to come. Then came the final piece of the puzzle, 'Avengers: Endgame' and reports came pouring in saying that there are no post-credit scenes after the movie. While standing in line to enter into the cinema hall, people spoke about how the movie will end without telling us what's next and how it will end just like any other film we watch. After three hours and two minutes of being mesmerised however, something changed. Credit: Dissolve In spite of knowing that there will be nothing once the credits roll up into that black screen, not a single soul moved from their seat. They just sat there, not talking but in awe of what a wonderful journey it was and thanked the stars of the series, in their own little way, silently, in their hearts. Some happy, others overwhelmed with the conclusion, 'the quiet' was probably the greatest recognition an audience could honour Marvel with.
  15. On 14th February, while the entire world was celebrating love in the wake of Valentine's Day, India was taken over by a state of mourning as its citizens bemoaned the loss of 40 CRPF paramilitary troopers who laid down their lives for the country in what is being termed as the deadliest terrorist strike in three decades in Jammu and Kashmir. A 20-year-old suicide bomber, Adil Ahmad Dar, from the notorious terror group Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) rammed his explosive-laden SUV into the CRPF convoy at Awantipora town in the Pulwama district. With about 80kg of explosives suspected to have been used, the blast blew one of the buses carrying CRPF personnel to smithereens, killing 40 soldiers and injuring others. AP The ghastly attack has, since, been condemned by politicians, celebrities and other bigwigs alike. There were also heartfelt messages posted on the social media from the sports icons of the country. Amid all the messages, Virat Kohli, too, voiced his displeasure at the cowardly attack and mourned the loss of Indian bravehearts. To further show his respect to the CRPF personnel martyred in Pulwama, the Indian cricket captain also postponed the RP-SG 'Indian Sports Honours' which was to take place on 16th February. An initiative of the 'Virat Kohli Foundation' and Sanjiv Goenka's 'RP-SG Group', the 'Indian Sports Honours' is an annual awards ceremony that celebrates the excellence of sportspersons in the country. The RP-SG Indian Sports Honours has been postponed. At this heavy moment of loss that we all find ourselves in, we would like to cancel this event that was scheduled to take place tomorrow. — Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) 15 February 2019 "The RP-SG Indian Sports Honours has been postponed. Sanjiv Goenka and @imVkohli are deeply pained at the recent unfortunate event in Pulwama and express their solidarity to the families of the Martyrs. They have hence decided to postpone the 2nd edition of the ISH which was scheduled for 16th Feb19 in Mumbai, to a later date. — Indian Sports Honours (@sportshonours) 15 February 2019 "The RP-SG Indian Sports Honours that was supposed to happen tomorrow night has been postponed by Virat as a mark of respect to the CRPF jawans who were martyred at Pulwama by a tragic terror attack," the 'Virat Kohli Foundation' said in a statement. "The who's who of entertainment and sports industry were supposed to be present for the award ceremony. Every partner and all the sports stars and delegates associated with this award have been informed and communicated with, stating that hosting an event was unacceptable at this moment when India is mourning the death of its jawans," the statement further added. Kohli's decision to postpone the event was further hailed by his fellow countrymen on the social media. Kudos buddy . 17. On January 3rd Pakistan declared Panj Tirath, an ancient Hindu religious site in Peshawar, as a heritage site and people on both sides of the border are lauding this gesture by the provincial Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government. Reportedly, a notification was issued under the KP Antiquities Act 2016 to get the encroachments cleared from the area and handed over to archaeologists, so that they could start the restoration work. Reuters (For Representation) Talking about the Panj Tirath, the heritage site got its name from the five pools of water present there. The site also includes a temple (which is said to be 1000 years old) and a lawn with date palm trees. The five pools now come under the Chacha Yunus Park and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In fact, the site has not only been declared as a heritage site, but the government has also announced that a fine of up to Rs. 2 million and 5 years of imprisonment will be charged against anyone who is found guilty of damaging the property. Pexels (For Representation) In 1747, the site was damaged by the Afghan Durrani dynasty and in the early 1800s, it was restored by the local Hindus during the period of the Sikh rule. According to mythology, it is believed that king Pandu from the time of Mahabharata belonged to this area and the Hindus would often come to bathe in these five pools during the month of Kartheek, and worship under the date trees. 18. At this point, Virat Kohli may be the only cricketer the Australian fans hate more than Mitchell Marsh. Calling him a “wanker” and asking him to show his passport is proof of how much they despise the Indian skipper. However, when Kohli entered the Sydney Cricket Ground to bat on Thursday, amongst the perpetual booing one could hear loud cheers from the Australian fans in the pavilion. The positive response towards Kohli was due to his bright pink grip, the pink MRF logo proudly visible on his bat, and the pink stripes on his gloves. This oddity in his batting attire was the Indian captain's way of showing his support towards the McGrath Foundation, a breast cancer support and education charity raising money, with an aim to put McGrath Breast Care Nurses in every corner of Australia and to increase awareness about Breast Cancer within the country. The foundation was started by Australian cricket legend Glenn McGrath, to honour his late wife who battled breast and bone cancer and passed away at the age of 42, in 2008. In recent time, Kapil Sharma has either been in the news for his fight with Sunil Grover or his reverse transformation, but this time Kapil is in news for his noble gesture that deserves all the respect in the world. Reportedly, Kapil Sharma donated the extra food from his wedding and reception to an NGO called Feeding India, who distributed the food to the underprivileged. The founder of Feeding India, Ankit Kawatra said in a statement "Kapil Sharma is setting an example for others to follow by donating excess food from his big day. In a laudable move, Masjid-e-Ishaq, a mosque located near Hyderabad's NS Kunta will facilitate as a community health center and serve nearly 1.5 lakh people, most of whom are poor. © BCCL This health center was formed earlier this month, by the mosque committee in collaboration with a city-based NGO Helping Hand Foundation (HHF). According to The Times Of India, the health center will serve as a referral link for health services for everyone irrespective of their religion. "The community health centre at the mosque will serve as a referral link to about 30 state-run hospitals providing primary to tertiary health care (sic)," said HHF managing trustee Mujtaba Hasan Askari. He further said that since there is very low attendance at government hospitals from slums, the mosque will work towards increasing footfall of economically backward sections in state hospitals. He said, "It will assure patients of prompt, ethical and free treatment with a network of 100 volunteers." © Pexels Reportedly, the centre will also provide primary healthcare including free diagnostics, vitals, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, wound management, maternal care and physiotherapy. The Khatib of Masjid-e-Ishaq, Maulana Faiq Khan, said that the mosque will also hold health education programmes for pregnant women and provide nutrition kits to the ones who are malnourished, ensure 100% vaccination for children in the area, and conduct periodic screening for both lifestyle diseases like diabetes, hypertension, cancer, kidney diseases, and infectious diseases like dengue and tuberculosis. © BCCL Apart from NS Kunta, people living in areas like Achireddy Nagar, Vatapally, Chasma, Mustafanagar, Pahadi Guntal Shah Baba, Tekri Biryani Shah, Teegal Kunta, Jahanuma, Tadbun and Fatimangar too will benefit from the health centre. 21. Ever since Kapil Dev's team's World Cup triumph in 1983, cricket has reigned supreme like no other in India. In this part of the world, cricket is considered a religion and the cricketers are worshipped as demigods. The contest between bat and ball entices the fans and the decibel levels inside the stadium are understandably at an all-time high. For a sport that generally brings the entire nation to a standstill, cricket has also allowed the players to garner the spotlight and enjoy a greater fan-following than other athletes. From the stadiums to a public event, fans are generally seen thronging the cricketers like white on rice. There are times, when some fans are lucky enough to get a starry moment with their favourite cricketers, on other occasions, they have to contend with just a glimpse. In a recent case, an Indian cricket fan found herself in a similar position when she spotted Anil Kumble on a domestic flight. The legendary @anilkumble1074 in my BLR-MUM flight. Glanced at him once and was reminded of that game in West Indies where he bowled with a bandaged jaw. Teared up a bit. Gawwddd, I'm such a sucker for cricket memories. ð — Sohini (@Mittermaniac) October 9, 2018 Star-struck by the former Indian coach's presence on the Bangalore-Mumbai flight, the Indian fan took to Twitter and shared her excitement on the microblogging website. "The legendary @anilkumble1074 in my BLR-MUM flight. Glanced at him once and was reminded of that game in West Indies where he bowled with a bandaged jaw. Teared up a bit. Responding to her tweet, the former Indian bowler wrote: "Please feel free to come over and say hi after take off @Mittermaniac". Taken by surprise, the fan wasted no time before rushing to Kumble who gave her an autograph on her boarding pass. Will have to get a boarding pass framed now. Thank you, @anilkumble1074. For a man who will always be remembered as one of the greatest spin wizards from India, Kumble struck a chord with the fans for his down-to-earth approach and calm demeanour. Even if he has called time on his cricketing career, the 47-year-old leggie continues to enthral fans, only this time with his humility.
  22. Battered, bruised and eventually left to pick up the pieces after their Lord's debacle, the Indian cricket team fought against all odds to restore the faith of their fans with a resounding comeback in the five-match Test series against England. Trailing 0-2 in the much-anticipated series, Team India showed everyone why they are ranked No. 1 in the longest format following their massive 203-run triumph at Trent Bridge. Taking the field with their back against the wall, the Indian team was adequately aided by a crucial 60-run opening partnership between Shikhar Dhawan (35) and KL Rahul (23). And, if the openers got India off to a solid start, the 159-run stand between Virat Kohli (97) and Ajinkya Rahane (81) for the fourth wicket allowed the visitors to amass 329 runs in the first innings. © Reuters A much-improved showing with the bat was followed by an equally impressive bowling performance where the likes of Hardik Pandya (5-28), Ishant Sharma (2-32) and Jasprit Bumrah (2-37) all combined together to ensure England bundled out for a paltry 161 runs in the first innings. The second innings saw another brilliant batting performance from India's top 4, with skipper Kohli standing tall for his pivotal 103. Posting a mammoth target of 521 runs, India already had an upperhand over the opposition psychologically and the bowlers did the rest. It took just one-and-a-half days for Kohli & co to stun England with Bumrah repeating the heroics of Pandya with his five-for in the second innings. © Reuters For a team that was believed to be buried and dead, Kohli-led India made the critics and naysayers eat their words through a spirited performance in the third Test. Their win also meant that the Indian fans can still hope for their side to go on and win the series. And, even if it seems far-fetched, the 2-1 scoreline in the series surely makes for an exciting contest in the remaining games. On the other hand, for someone like Kohli, who was fighting his own demons to come good in the English conditions, the emphatic win achieved on the back of 200 individual runs (both innings combined) was not only worthy of the 'Man of the Match' award, but also established his stature as one of the best in the business. © Reuters If India's triumph elated the fans, Kohli's heartfelt gesture after the game for Kerala flood victims earned him more respect. After accepting the MoM award, Kohli acknowledged the state of great emergency in Kerala back home and, likewise, dedicated India's win to those affected by the natural calamity. "We would like to dedicate this victory to Kerala flood victims, it's a tough time there and this is the minimum we can do on our part. The victory was much needed to keep the series alive, the credit goes to the entire dressing room. We didn't panic, we were outplayed in only one game out of the last 5, and that was Lord's," Kohli said. © Reuters Talking about his team's massive improvement, he said: "We dominated in this game because we put runs on the board and then the bowlers did well, even Ashwin did well with his injury. The batsmen did well to give them a cushion to go hard. Even the slips did well, and this mix of all skills couldn't have come at a better time. Ajinkya was clear in his mindset in the first innings, and when he goes out and plays like that, he can change the game. They're a quality attack and you need grit and determination, and Ajinkya did that in the first innings and Pujara in the 2nd". "I haven't thought about the 2014 failures, but I'd like to thank my wife who is here and keeps motivating me. The four fastest bowlers in the series have been Indians and we're proud of our fitness levels. We want the opposition to bat well and get runs and we don't want to gift them any. We definitely believe we can come back from 0-2 to 3-2 if we keep performing the way we have done in this Test, we just need to keep moving forward, keep winning," he concluded.
  23. Being born to a famous parent always comes with its own share of pressure, often resulting in making things difficult for star kids, irrespective of what profession they are in. On one hand, they have to constantly prove themselves to the world, live up to the reputation and the fame their parents enjoy, and on the other hand, they have to fight the battle of nepotism on a constant basis. And just like the star kids of Bollywood, things are no different for young Indian cricketer Arjun Tendulkar. Instagram Sachin Tendulkar is fondly known as the 'God of Indian Cricket', and the man has worked extremely hard (without any strings attached) to earn this title and looks like he's trained his son with the same ethics. From making it to the India U-19 team for the Youth-test series against Sri Lanka to taking a wicket in his first over of the match, Arjun Tendulkar is proving to be cricket's next prodigy with each passing day. Although his talent and skills often get overshadowed by the fact that he is Sachin Tendulkar's son. Instagram However, this time he's hogging the limelight not for his performance but for his humble nature. Arjun, who is currently in London for a training session with the MCC Young Cricketers, was present at Lord's on the second day of the second Test between India and England. When the match was hit by rains, Arjun was seen lending a helping hand to the ground staff at Lord's. In fact, his efforts did not go unnoticed. The official Twitter handle of Lord's Cricket Ground shared his picture to appreciate his efforts and wrote, “Not only has he been training with @MCCYC4L recently & but he has also been lending a helping hand to our groundstaff!” ð Arjun Tendulkar! 24. Suresh Raina might be one of the best players in the Indian Cricket team, but he's a great human being whose unconditional help and good deeds will always be remembered by his fans and a certain Jeff Goodwin. Jeff Goodwin is Team India's bus driver. He has been driving for various cricket teams since the 1999 World Cup and is currently accompanying Team India on their three-month-long tour to England. The Virat Kohli led team will now compete with England in a five-match Test series starting in Birmingham from August 1. In a video shared by BCCI, Goodwin said “Raina, a few years ago in Leeds, when my wife had a bit of an illness and he gave me his shirt to auction off. I've never forgotten that.” BCCI While, for some people this might mean nothing or a very small gesture, but for Goodwin it must've been a life-changing experience that turned his and his wife's life for good. Goodwin further mentioned how he and his son once drove the Indian team with Sachin Tendulkar in it and even got a letter from the Indian government thanking him.
