ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsLady Gaga has always stood out, no matter what, and her performance at the Grammys obviously couldn't help but be memorable, and apparently meme-able as well. As usual, she set the stage on fire with her solo rendition of 'Shallow', the emotional ballad from her Oscar-nominated film, 'A Star is Born', but little did she know that one moment from her incredible performance would make her the only Grammys meme that matters. She won three Grammys this time - Best Song Written for Visual Media for 'Shallow', Best Pop Solo Performance for 'Joanne', and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Bradley Cooper for 'Shallow' - but the most important award was Twitter's seal of approval for her deathly stare at the end her performance. At the end of the song, she pulled this pose - Twitter It doesn't look that bad from here, right? It's a little terrifying and uncomfortable, that's it. But, it looked like this in the camera. Twitter Yikes. And thus, a meme was born. What my food sees when I check on them in the oven #Grammys pic.twitter.com/jWzozNUVLJ — Akafi Ali (@AkafiAli) February 11, 2019 We've all been there. ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsThat time of the year is finally here. The Grammys Red Carpet remains the most anticipated event when it comes to Hollywood fashion. The Grammys have been giving us some of the most iconic fashion moments over the years. This year, they definitely did rise up to the expectations and didn't disappoint us. With all the sizzling controversies involving Ariana Grande, Drake and Cardi B and her pianist stealing the whole show, the 2019 Grammys is already on its way to becoming the most talked about event of the year. When it comes to fashion, the Grammys red carpet serves more looks than the Oscars because of its younger audience and nominees. Being fashion icons and believing in expression through dressing, pop artists tend to experiment with fashion more which equals to more drama on the red carpet. The men of the entertainment business don't shy away from a good head turning look either. Have a look at the 12 quirkiest looks form the Grammys 2019 Red Carpet that turned heads for all the right reasons: 1. Ricky Rebel © Getty Images Let's talk about the one sparking the most talks, shall we? Singer Ricky Rebel walked down the red carpet in a reversible pro-Trump jacket from designer Andre Soriano. The jacket had 'Keep America Great' text which a play on Donald Trump's political slogan on one side and 'Trump 2020' on the other. The outfit has already sparked tons of negative talk about its political statement and about the upcoming US elections next year. 2. Leon Bridges © Getty Images A name in soul music, Leon Bridges sported a custom made 2-piece set by designer Emily Bode. The mustard-coloured corduroy set was covered in little drawings that referenced his home state of Texas and his own music as well. That's one hell of a customization, we say! 3. Post Malone © Getty Images If there's one thing to know about Post Malone, he loves his flashy suits. They are a statement on their own and quirky as hell. This year was no less, as the singer sported a salmon coloured bedazzled suit covered with silver star embellishments, which he topped off with matching pink cowboy boots. This look was put together by costume designer Catherine Hahn, who is one of the artist's favourite designers. Pink is the new black, we see! 4. Kyle Trewartha and Michael Trewartha © Getty Images Like the Fiji water girl at the Oscars, the twins with the silver hair were the Grammy mystery people this year. The twins who are Kyle Trewartha and Michael Trewartha dazzled the red carpet in designer wear which was perfectly layered and stormy weather ready. Yes, they look like The Chainsmokers. No, they're not them. The ice twins definitely do have style, though. 5. Ben Harper © Getty Images If there's one way to ditch the boring black tie and go full ham, Ben Harper should be your guide. Ben Harper did enter full bedazzle mode in a jacket showing off yellow sequined paisley motifs worn with a broad-brim hat. The Nike basketball shoes add an extra edge to the outfit. Very country, yet very sporty. An interesting combination. 6. Young Thug © Getty Images If there's one way to stand out, it has to be to get in with the fluorescent trend. And since bright neon colours always make their mark in the athleisure world, it has to have an active presence on the red carpet too, right? Young Thug stood out from the crowd in a fluorescent lime green hoodie paired with a red cropped leather jacket. The rapper paired it with beige pants and red sneakers for the too-cool-to-care look and we lowkey dig it. 7. Swae Lee © Getty Images Popular singer Swae Lee left his mark on the red carpet with his out of the box fashion choice for this year's Grammys. Seen in a laced see-through shirt paired with studded M.X By Maxine Simoens pants and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Swae stole the show with his peek-a-boo outfit! 8. Jaden Smith © Getty Images Jaden Smith always manages to make heads turn at every red carpet ever. His unapologetic street-inspired style is pretty much what is expected of him. He didn't disappoint this time around with a black hoodie, a multi-coloured graphic jacket and chain detailing all over his upper and lower body. No one can pull off a Jaden Smith exclusive better than Jaden himself! 9. Fantastic Negrito © Getty Images The American singer wore a customized red suit with colourful swatches of fabric making up the pockets. A silver necklace with two fish hung from his neck which he mentions used to be a belt buckle. His whole outfit was apparently inspired by 'upcycling', which is using discarded material to design something that is of a higher quality than the original. 10. Kane Brown © Getty Images Singer Kane Brown doesn't shy away from some print. Seen sporting a Versace black and gold printed shirt with a Versace blazer with the same print on the inner lining as well. Donning daring prints sure seems like a bold fashion statement but Kane wears them like a champion! 11. Anthony Kiedis, Chad Smith and Flea © Getty Images Members of the popular rock band 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis, Chad Smith, and Flea turned up at the red carpet and stole a lot of attention for their attire. The perfect mix of eccentric, bold and daring, their outfits were downright rocking. With Anthony's all floral suit, Chad's floral shirt and multi-coloured sneakers to Flea's jacquard pants and hat, they did bring the heat with them. 12. Hector Buitrago and Andrea Echeverri © Getty Images Colombian rock band Aterciopelados members Hector Buitrago and Andrea Echeverri came dressed as the Grammy award itself. Hector's outfit being a spin on an album cover itself with gold star motifs all over was interesting while Andrea's outfit was actually him being a real-life version of a Grammy award complete with a headgear and buttons representing the iconic gramophone shape was an eye-catcher. The award or rather Andrea himself was addressed to their band Aterciopelados indicating that they were expecting a definite win. These few were amongst the many others who made an appearance at the Grammy Awards 2019 and gave fashion a new definition. You have our attention, Hollywood!
