Rajasthan Royals might not have had the kind of results they wanted in the last few years but there’s no doubting that they are one of the most active teams when it comes to social media engagements. View this post on InstagramThe franchise based out of Pink City, Jaipur, always remains in the headlines, thanks to their quirky social media posts. A day after unveiling their new jersey for the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league, the franchise took everyone by surprise when their official Twitter handle introduced Yuzvendra Chahal as their “new captain”, whom they had bought at IPL 2022 mega auction for Rs 6.50 crore. Congrats Yuzi — Sanju Samson (@IamSanjuSamson) March 16, 2022 Sharing a picture of the leg-spinner in their new match-day kit, the franchise wrote: “Meet RR new captain @yuzi_chahal.” Jealous jealous — Rajasthan Royals (@rajasthanroyals) March 16, 2022 Since it was posted on their official account, the Rajasthan Royals supporters couldn't comprehend if it was real news or some sort of a prank. Before the season, RR had retained Sanju Samson for a whopping Rs 14 crore and announced that he would continue to lead them in the upcoming edition. Yeah account hack kar dunga ab main — Yuzvendra Chahal (@yuzi_chahal) March 16, 2022 Soon the fans realised that it was nothing but Chahal being at his mischievous best. A scroll down to his Twitter handle was enough to tell that he had taken over the Rajasthan Royals official account and was posting stuff he liked. RR me twitter account me in login kar Diya hai … bola tha admin job pange mat Lena https://t.co/k3yNd6VsEx — Rajasthan Royals (@rajasthanroyals) March 16, 2022 “hahahaha ab aayega maza Thanks for the password @JakeLushMcCrum,” Chahal wrote on Twitter. After logging in to RR handle, he wrote: “RR me twitter account me in login kar Diya hai … bola tha admin job pange mat Lena.” Apart from appointing himself as RR's new leader, the leggie also posted a picture of him batting and told the fans he would open the innings with Jos Buttler if the post garnered 10,000 retweets. Comedy show kholne ko bolo re inko — Sara Sangha (@SaraSangha) March 16, 2022Mission accomplished pic.twitter.com/zkfOA2zVlt — animesh (@ani_meshh) March 16, 2022 Account hacked — Pratik sehajpal (@realsehajpal__) March 16, 2022Ye kya comedy chal rahi hai... practice pe focus Karo match jitne ke liye — Rakshit Jain (@imrj2001) March 16, 2022Just loving this .. Yuzi and RR admin will bring these superb mazedaar things all this ipl .. yuzi is a superb addition to RR and from this team will also do well .. — Ankit sharma (@Nkittt) March 16, 2022ye sai hai apas me khel re hai kya official account hai — Vikash Mali (@hopeisdere) March 16, 2022All this was enough to tell that Chahal had indeed taken over their account just like he promised in his previous tweet. While some fans enjoyed this, others urged the RR to adopt a more serious approach and not mislead the fans on the internet. Chahal, who was a key member of Royal Challengers Bangalore set-up till last year, failed to attract any bids from them in this year’s auction. The 31-year-old will team up with veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and hope to form a formidable spin attack. View the full article

After a succession of weird and bizarre comments from the batter's social media account, Indian captain Rohit Sharma's Twitter account has gained the attention of fans. Fans of the 34-year-old hitter even speculated that his account had been hacked by nefarious characters. View this post on Instagram For the uninitiated, the prolific Indian hitter will lead the squad for the first time as the Team India captain against Sri Lanka, which is set to start on March 4. Due to an injury, the batsman missed the Test series against South Africa and spent a long time at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru getting fit to play. He will now lead his team in a two-match Test series against the Lankan Lions. Meanwhile, Rohit's Twitter account has been sending out bizarre posts since March 1st morning. At first a tweet from his account read: “I love coin tosses…especially when they end up in my belly!” I love coin tosses…especially when they end up in my belly! — Rohit Sharma (@ImRo45) March 1, 2022Bzz….! Did you know? Buzzing beehives make for great boxing bags! — Rohit Sharma (@ImRo45) March 1, 2022Cricket balls are edible…right? — Rohit Sharma (@ImRo45) March 1, 2022Fans from all over the country started responding to the series of unusual tweets that were coming from Sharma’s account with some funny posts of their own, even though they were potentially aware that it wasn’t in fact the cricketer who was writing all those messages. Even his teammate, Yuzvendra Chahal was stunned and curious: Bhaiya? What’s happening, Sab theek hai na? https://t.co/yXDLithw6f — Yuzvendra Chahal (@yuzi_chahal) March 1, 2022Ask Afridi He has eaten cricket ball pic.twitter.com/cygWbrNtSl — Praveen (@Ungenius_Indian) March 1, 2022Today..., Everyone to rohit sharma... pic.twitter.com/2xjHPfZfyz — Sajal Singhal (@sajal593) March 1, 2022Bodied idol Thala pic.twitter.com/s19pbKFZXP — Surya (@Surya_One8) March 1, 2022Bhai chokli password rkhoge to hacked hi hoga na — Nayak (@nayakjayas45) March 1, 2022However, one of the most innovative and interesting Twitter accounts in India, the Delhi Police made the most out of this opportunity to share a few laughs with the commonfolk: SAFETY ADVISORY: No-ball is edible! If you try, you will surely get a (free) hit! https://t.co/Q9HCjxcEVL — Delhi Police (@DelhiPolice) March 1, 2022 Surprisingly, Rohit has been winning a lot of tosses since becoming the leader of the Men in Blue in all three formats of the game. Fans on social media became interested as a result of a series of weird tweets from the skipper account, and they responded with some hilarious responses. In reality, the majority of fans predicted that Rohit's account would be hacked. View this post on Instagram On the field, Rohit Sharma will captain India in the next two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. In his maiden series as Test captain, Rohit Sharma will have a lot to prove with the bat and as a leader of an elite team in the game's longest format. So far, the 34-year-old hitter has appeared in 43 matches in the format, scoring 3047 runs at a 46.88 average. In addition, the hitter has 14 half-centuries, eight hundreds, and a double-hundred under his belt. Meanwhile, India's Virat Kohli, who last struck an international century in Test cricket in November 2019, will be hoping to break his long drought. On March 4, the former captain will play his 100th Test match against Sri Lanka. View the full article

Congress leader and actor Shatrughan Sinha’s Twitter account was briefly hacked without him knowing about it. The account has now been restored however while it was hacked, his account’s name was changed to Elon Musk and the profile picture was also changed to a picture of a rocket launch. In this case, the hackers did not change the password or lock Sinha out from his profile as he was Tweeting about Shashi Tharoor while his account was hacked. It seems he was unaware that his name and profile picture had been changed. © Twitter “What a fantastic conversation between two popular, respectable, acceptable, able, politicians! The sauve, intellectual par excellence Shashi Tharoor & the outspoken, courageous, forthright TMC leader Mauhua Moitra as he chats with her on India@75. They talk about how times, democracy etc have changed over the years. Your feedback & comments are most welcome. Jai Hind! A not to be missed interview!” Sinha tweeted while his account was hacked. His account was also used to spread spam in reply to one of Musk’s recent tweets. The hacked account replied with a Tweet about distributing DOGECOIN via an event. The tweet has been deleted however some his Sinha’s followers noticed the hack before it was restored. I am sure his account is hacked! — Kishan Sharma (@kishandips) August 21, 2021 This is not the first time a Twitter account of a political leader has been hacked. In a similar case, Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) official Twitter account was also hacked where the account was also disguised as Elon Musk. Gaming giant EA’s data has been breached by hackers and they have downloaded the source code of games such as FIFA 21 and other titles that use the Frostbite engine. The engine is also used for games such as the Battlefield franchise and other high-profile games such as Madden. The breach was first discovered by Vice and it reported that 780GB of data was stolen. EA has assured that no player data has been stolen as a part of the breach. © Reuters "We are investigating a recent incident of intrusion into our network where a limited amount of game source code and related tools were stolen," an EA spokesperson said in a statement. "No player data was accessed, and we have no reason to believe there is any risk to player privacy," she added. EA publishes some of the biggest games including annual sports franchises that net the company billions of dollars in revenue each year. The source code of a game is usually a version of the code that easier to read and understand than the end version in a finished product. The source code can be used by hackers or to the highest bidder by reverse engineering some of the most popular gaming mechanics. © Electronic Arts In the case of Frostbite, the source code of the engine is used to develop both Battlefield and sports games like FIFA. Frostbite is EA’s proprietary engine that is a powerful game creation tool that can now be copied by the highest bidder. The stolen source code may also result in willing developers to create cheat codes and hacks for games, including the ones that require micro-transactions. This is not the first time a popular game developer has been targeted for breaches. In February, Cyberpunk and The Witcher developer CD Project Red also suffered a ransomware attack which led to the source code of their engine being leaked online just last week. Japanese developer Capcom also suffered a ransomware attack which may have revealed the personal information of up to 350,000 users. View the full article

Elon Musk and his tomfoolery with cryptocurrency have agitated a lot of people. No matter what pundits and experts will have you believe, but his tweets do have an impact on the crypto market. © AFP Seeing this, Anonymous recently put out a statement, which basically says that if Elon Musk doesn’t mend his ways, he will face the wrath of the white hat hackers group. The group also stated that they have had issues with the tech mogul over some of his other allegedly nefarious business practices and that Musk, is just another “narcissistic rich dude.” © Reuters Well, unsurprisingly, Elon isn’t the only tech mogul to have been targeted by Anonymous. There have been a number of tech moguls other than Musk who have been at the receiving end of some pretty damning statements from the hacktivist group. © Reuters Here 4 of the most notable ones. Jeff Bezos - Amazon © Reuters Is it any surprise that the world’s richest man was targeted by the hacktivist group? The story goes that Amazon and Bezos were staunchly against WikiLeaks. Anonymous did not see this favourably. However, after reports started coming out of Amazon’s fulfilment centres & warehouses of the inhumane working conditions that workers are subjected to, Bezos was personally targeted by the group, who hacked into his email accounts, and several social media handles, and put out some really bizarre posts. Charlie Scharf - CEO & Chairman Of Visa © AFP Visa was one of the first payment gateway companies that blocked their users from donating to WikiLeaks. MasterCard also followed suit. However, it was Visa’s then CEO, Charlie Scharf, who had to face Anonymous’ fury. Not only did they hack into his emails, they also released a few financial records of the companies that highlighted the exorbitant amount of money some of the highest office-holders received, at a time when Visa was having one of its toughest times. The hack led to some really intense shake-ups within Visa. The Entire Top Brass Of Sony © Reuters Back in 2011, Sony had sued George Hotz, a software engineer and security hacker, for hacking into his own PlayStation and reverse engineering their system. Anonymous targeted the top brass of Sony as well as the company’s systems as well, and released quite a few damning documents and emails. Anonymous’ hack also had some financial repercussions. Apparently, Sony lost over $24 Billion. After much deliberation, Sony Corp. CEO Howard Stringer was forced to resign by the shareholders. Tim Cook - CEO, Apple Inc. © Reuters Finally, we have Tim Cook. Apple is one the most valued and influential tech companies on the earth, in more ways than one realises. Have you ever wondered why repairing old Apple products are so expensive? It is actually by design. Even the screws they use have a different head and need specialised tools to be worked on. Needless to say, Apple is against the Right To Repair movement. © Reuters So much so, that when an American Tractor company was sued by a group of farmers for not allowing them to repair their own tractors, Apple actually reached the courtroom in a small town in Nebraska, an agricultural state in America, to help the tractor makers defend their case. This obviously irked every advocate and supporter of the Right To Repair movement, including a few high ranking members of Anonymous. And so, they hacked away. Tim Cook’s personal and professional emails were hacked, and so were a few of the company’s systems. However, there is no information available that talks about the extent of the hack, or the damage that it caused. The Bottom Line… Anonymous is certainly not afraid to go after people and organisations that are goliaths in their size and power. It will be interesting to see, whether Elon Musk actually gets hacked, or does he get away with a warning. Whatever happens, one thing is for sure - you don’t mess with Anonymous. Microsoft Starts The New Year With A Somewhat Worrying News About Getting Hacked
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
Microsoft has started the new year on a very weird note. The company says it discovered its systems were infiltrated. This news comes as the company continues to investigate the massive SolarWinds attack. It said the infiltration was just beyond the presence of malicious SolarWinds code. In an update from its Security Response Center, Microsoft says that hackers were able to "view source code in a number of source code repositories". This is indeed big news and it'll take at least a few weeks to unravel the attack's implications. © Reuters Microsoft noted that the attackers didn't have any permission to modify any code or systems. It also noted that it found no evidence of access to production services or customer data. There are no indications that their accounts were used to attack others either. This isn't a usual attack but Microsoft says it regularly assumes adversaries are able to view its source code and does not rely on the secrecy of source code to keep its products secure. At this point, it's hard to tell how much code was viewed by the attackers or what that particular code is used for, but we really appreciate Microsoft's assurance. © Reuters The US government and the cybersecurity officials have implicated Russia as the architects of the overall SolarWinds attack. Microsoft, however, points to “a very sophisticated nation-state actor” as the culprit. These cyber-attacks are getting more frequent now and it very alarming, to say the least. A lot of these big-name companies have our data and we hope necessary measures are in place to keep these attacks in check in the future. Source: Microsoft View the full article -
