  1. The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders turned out to be quite the entertainer regardless of the fact that the latter lost by a massive 82 runs. This victory turned out to be the biggest for the Virat Kohli side against the two time IPL champions and helped RCB climb to the third spot in the league’s points table as well with 10 points in seven games. On the other hand, KKR are seated at the four spot with eight points and very much in contention for a playoff berth. After Match 28 of #Dream11IPL, @RCBTweets are now 3rd on the Points Table. pic.twitter.com/7i8hcUGUp6 — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) October 12, 2020 However, the highlight of the match came through the bat of a legend named AB de Villiers, the former South African skipper who just can’t seem to realise that he is 36 years old, and continues to bat like a cricketer in his early 20s. Batting first after winning the toss, RCB came out with a lot of firepower and shared a 67-run opening partnership between Aaron Finch and Devdutt Paddikal. It was at the 94-run mark when de Villiers was required to approach the pitch and help his captain create a respectable total for Kolkata to chase. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@royalchallengersbangalore) In just 33 deliveries, the run-machine Protea smashed a ‘Man of the Match’ worthy 73-run-innings. During his unbeaten time at the pitch, he struck five 4s and six maximums, that had the hapless Sharjah citizens worried for their rides. In the 16th over of RCB’s batting, de Villiers hit a second six of his innings, a 85 metre beauty that’d zoom past the boundary rope, the stands, the roof of the stadium and onto the highway adjacent to the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. He’d hit another six in the same direction in the same over which also looked like a ‘car window breaker’ but was thankfully disrupted by one of the metal structures of the stadium and prevented the car owners any further loss. Fans watching the match live had some pretty hilarious comments on AB de Villiers’ injustice towards the Sharjah car owners: Instead of a car sponsorship, there should be a scar sponsorship here.#ABDevilliers #Bowlers — Gaurav Sethi (@BoredCricket) October 12, 2020#ABDevilliers has led to increase in Car Insurance premium in Sharjah! @ABdeVilliers17 #RCB @RCBTweets @IPL #IPL #RCBvsKKR — Manish Batavia (@manishbatavia) October 12, 2020It seems, tomorrow there will be a queue in #Sharjah for special car insurance with 'hitting with cricket ball' clause!!#ABDevilliers you beauty....!! #PlayBold@RCBTweets @ABdeVilliers17 #Dream11IPL pic.twitter.com/20QH1qzZL1 — Jagdish R Chandra (@JagdishRChandra) October 12, 2020Poor Car owner #ABDevilliers #RCBvKKR #RCB pic.twitter.com/dB4FsR4arY — Youlackhatred12 (@youlackhatred12) October 12, 2020Car owner while passing through Sharjah Stadium #RCBvKKR #ABDevilliers #ViratKohli pic.twitter.com/LArxcK04Oc — 🇮🇳HE_MANT mali (@GoyalHEMANT1) October 12, 2020 View the full article
  2. Gamers in India don’t have it easy. Sometimes, we get products late, and sometimes, we don’t get certain products here at all, not officially at least. Take the PlayStation 5 for example. Many gamers have been waiting with bated breath, eagerly waiting for the day when Sony would announce the official launch date and the pricing for their latest gaming consoles. And thanks to the actions of a Delhi-based man, it seems they have to wait even longer. © Sony PlayStation loyalists and a whole lot of other people who are eager to buy the console are understandably pissed and for good reasons. While they were waiting for Sony to release their console, Microsoft not just released their X Box Series S & Series X, but also put it on sale in India, at a rather impressive price. Meanwhile, all we know about PlayStation 5 is that it will be launched on November 12 in the US, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, and on the 19th for much of the rest of the world. Heck, some of these places can now pre-order theirs. © Twitter/AroonDeep Among many things that have caused this delay, and the indecisiveness about the Indian launch is the fact that a Delhi-based man actually filed for the trademark rights on ‘PS5’ before Sony did. Now, there are no reports stating that he was granted the trademark. However, it does put the phrase under dispute, because of which, neither Sony nor the Delhi-based man, Hitesh Aswani can now claim. Aswani had filed for the trademark about a year back, on the 29th of October 2019, whereas Sony filed theirs on the 28th of February 2020. © Twitter/visiblemiles Citizens on Twitter are understandably angry about this and have had a rather strong reaction to this. My only question is...why? Its honestly frustrating. Why would a man trademark a name that clearly emerges from a well established naming pattern employed by sony? This is so petty. — Roshan Premnath (@PremnathRoshan) October 9, 2020 pic.twitter.com/2Dh7kQXd64 — Aayush Ailawadi (@aayush_a6) October 9, 2020 Others, well, they thought that this was a smart “business” move. Probably so they have to buy it from him. Pretty smart honestly. — idk (@YaBoiShaba) October 9, 2020 pic.twitter.com/R4dxOPCAOn — Radhika (@radhikammehta) October 7, 2020 A few good souls saw the lighter side of things. Ya he also launched it. pic.twitter.com/ofyFknhzcC — Piyush (@StarDust_PY) October 7, 2020 pic.twitter.com/0CyPs720lP — Turnip is wearing a mask (@turnip_live) October 7, 2020According to a report filed by the Mako Reactor though, this shouldn’t be a problem for Sony, as long as “they’re able to prove their goodwill and existence prior to the initial filing done by what seems to be seemingly an unrelated individual.” But let’s face it, when has a legal proceeding ever been timely? The “wise” option would be to switch over to the Xbox, especially for people who are looking for just a gaming console, and who don’t have a decent gaming PC. © YouTube/AustinEvans But do we really want to do that, especially given how we have historically leaned towards PlayStations over Xboxes? Gamers in India will have to wait a lot longer it seems Source: The Mako Reactor View the full article
  3. Delhi Capitals all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin once again found his name being used in a potential ‘mankad’ case during the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League in the match against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore. While bowling, Ashwin gave a warning to the captain of the Australian cricket team and RCB opener Aaron Finch, who had walked out of the crease before the delivery was bowled. Stopping midway his bowling routine, Ashwin stopped and called out Finch for doing so and gestured that he will not think twice before running him out if he does it again. Just moments after this episode took place on the pitch, the clever cameraman panned towards the DC dugout where head coach Ricky Ponting could be seen hiding his face with his hand and smiling coyly. Reaction from Ponting after Ashwin giving the Mankad Warning to Finch. pic.twitter.com/gYSym6PPo0 — Johns. (@CricCrazyJohns) October 5, 2020 Just days after the 2020 season began in the United Arab Emirates, Ponting was asked about Ashwin’s tendency to ‘mankad’ batsmen at InsideSport’s Face 2 Face Cricket Series show and here’s what he had said: “I am not going to ball Ashwin in the last over of the game. We have spoken about it and I have told him my expectation that I wouldn’t want him to Mankad.”Why Is Ashwin’s Mankading Such A Big Deal? The process of mankading, although completely legal according to the rulebooks of cricket, is frowned upon by many. It is believed to be against the spirit of the game. If a bowler does get bothered by the fact that the runner is moving out of the crease before the delivery, he is expected to warn the opponent in front of the umpires. Do you regret this Michael? Ashwin mankad Englishman buttler last year but didn't mankad Aussie finch today pic.twitter.com/wj7NVrctDW — Abhishek Bhattar (@ABHISHKBHATTAR) October 5, 2020 However, during the 2019 IPL season, Ashwin refused to follow this norm and had ‘mankaded’ Rajasthan Royals’ Jos Buttler at the first change he got. He faced a lot of flak from numerous players and Buttler’s England teammate James Anderson even shot a video of his shredding Ashwin’s picture in protest of this incident. Jimmy's got his shredder out again… This time, he 'shreds' Ravi Ashwin for his 'Mankad' dismissal of Jos Buttler in the IPL! In fact, he has held numerous ‘Question-Answer’ sessions on Twitter during which he has constantly talked in favour of doing it again on whatever level of cricket he will play in the future. Ashwin’s Final Warning To The LeagueAfter not dismissing Finch and letting him go with the warning, Delhi Capitals went on to win the match by 59 runs. Ravinchandran Ashwin’s Twitter account was abuzz once again and the cricketer clarified things online. Let’s make it clear !! First and final warning for 2020. I am making it official and don’t blame me later on. @RickyPonting #runout #nonstriker @AaronFinch5 and I are good buddies btw. #IPL2020 — Ashwin 🇮🇳 (@ashwinravi99) October 5, 2020 “Let’s make it clear !! First and final warning for 2020. I am making it official and don’t blame me later on. @RickyPonting #runout #nonstriker @AaronFinch5 and I are good buddies btw,” he tweeted. At this point if the cricketing fraternity decides to change the name of ‘mankading’ to ‘ashwining’ it won’t be a surprise and the majority of the players would simply smile and accept this alteration. 4. While SRK's magic perhaps will never get dull for his fans, despite him being 54, it's noteworthy that he actually has a grown up son who can stand next to him now, neck to neck, giving him a run for his money when it comes to his signature charm and poise. Yes, Aryan Khan perhaps has just inherited it from his dad, and has never faltered when it comes to capturing the fancy of the ever-alert paps, while ironically trying to keep a low profile himself. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@___aryan___) View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@___aryan___) A lot has already been discussed and written about him being almost a carbon copy of his father (just like Ibrahim is to Saif, really, the Khans almost justify the old Bollywood trope of having the same actor play both father and son), and rightfully so. This was established yet again, with a side of delightful, fashionable choices in terms of outfits and accessories, when both of them were spotted together on the stands, cheering for KKR. Here are some pictures which make us believe that the fruit has really not fallen far from the tree at all, in the best way conceivable, TBH. 5. If people keep trolling Abhishek Bachchan on a daily basis by calling him jobless, then who really is the jobless one out of them? *insert thinking emoji* Abhishek Bachchan gets way too much hate for someone who always stays in his lane, without being problematic, and always staying a true gentleman. Aren't people tired of coming after him when they've not managed to rile him up with their hateful comments even once? The only thing he should be trolled for is this picture and this picture alone. © Twitter He genuinely seems like a chill dude who loves his family, works on his movies and TV shows, and always stays humble even though he's one of the biggest names in the industry. Now, that actually might be the bare minimum, but going by the amount of trolling he gets, his humour and self-restraint in such situations is actually commendable. View the full article
  6. Growing up, the early years of school mostly felt like prepping for the ultimate board exams in 10th and eventually in 12th, that were made out to be the deal breakers of our future should we fail to live up to its demands. The only motivation and promise of rewards that were sent our way included getting into the prestigious ‘Science’ stream and then the golden words which haunt millennials even today, “Bas do saal aur mehnat karlo, fir toh araam hi araam hai.” We all know now that was the biggest lie of the century. © Twitter Rabindranathji Anyhow, things seem to have changed over the years and somebody has managed to get the rewards system right for once. Jharkhand education minister Jagarnath Mahto and Assembly speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto recently gifted 2020 class 10th and 12th toppers Alto cars for their great performance in the board exams. © Twitter Rabindranathji The two recipients of the cars were class 10th topper Manish Kumar Katiyar and class 12th topper Amit Kumar. Jharkhand education minister Jagarnath Mahto also announced during the event that starting next year he will also adopt the toppers and bear their education expenses. That’s not all, even the state assembly speaker made a strong point for students about working hard and pursuing their dreams, but not at the cost of sacrificing their morals and ethics. You become a doctor, an engineer, a scientist or anything but always follow ethics and moral values. I appeal to the teachers to inculcate moral values in students. Students going to school on foot or on a bicycle will now ride a car and I hope will achieve their target with speed.” © Twitter Rabindranathji How the times have changed. Students are now getting cars to feel motivated, while all we could look forward to back in the day was a heartfelt congratulations and some extra kaju katlis on our plate. View the full article
  7. Every actor goes through ups and downs in their acting career and no matter how big or famous the star is every actor sees a downfall in their acting span. An actor goes through a lot in his time in the industry and from controversies to flops everything hampers and affects the life of an actor. However, there are actors who give many flops and then get a comeback movie that turns everything around. Some actors disappear after giving a few flops but some fight back and sustain their career in the industry. Salman Khan Sallu Bhai has been in the industry for so long but there once came a point when his career was coming to an end. He has been a part of numerous controversies and his career was definitely affected by it. He played so many similar roles in movies such as Hum Apke Hain Kaun, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam that after a point people started getting bored. It was only with Prabhu Deva’s film Wanted that gave him the push that it needed and was the launch of his action comedies. Ajay Devgn Ajay Devgn also played many type casted roles in many of his films and after a while the audience wasn’t interested anymore and the films stopped working. That’s when Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal series gave his career an uplift that he needed. Saif Ali Khan The actor has gone through a rough patch in his career. It was only films like Hum Sath Sath Hain and Main Khiladi Tu Anadi that kept him afloat in the industry. However, with Farhan Akhtar’s Dil Chahta Hai, everything changed for him and he became a heartthrob of Bollywood. Aamir Khan Amir took a break from films for almost five years after his super successful film Lagaan. He did Mangal Pandey which didn’t do well at the box office and then in 2006, Rang De Basanti was released and that’s how Mr. Perfectionist’s career got back on track. Shahid Kapoor Shahid Kapoor used to be a chocolate boy in the initial years of his career. Even action comedies that he did such as R Rajkumar and Main Tera Hero didn’t get his career back on track. It was only with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider that made his career shine to another level as an actor. View the full article

However, the case needs to be probed but people have already started spilling hate on Rhea Chakraborty based on the allegations. © BCCL Recently in a very bizarre incident, a 32-year-old Mumbai resident has to deal with the hate that the country is spewing on Rhea. The man who is working as a staffer in an educational institute was tired of the hate and abuses and had to block around 150 callers to protect him from the mental harassment. He expressed how the hatred call filled with abuse became a nightmare for him. © Rhea Chakraborty Instagram Initially, he ignored the calls thinking that it was a wrong number but the calls continued and kept getting graver. People were calling Rhea Chakraborty and ended up calling him, Not only that, but he then also started getting abusive text messages, Whatsapp calls, and voice calls. He was getting abusive calls as his number resembled that of Rhea. His number was only different from one digit and that’s the reason behind him getting hundreds of abusive calls daily. © Rhea Chakraborty Instagram According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the man whose number was leaked was alerted by his cousin that a news channel is flashing Rhea’s number. They flashed Rhea’s number while showing some call records between Sushant and her. The man reported this matter to the Police and then they in return suggested him use another number as he wasn’t agreeing to file a complaint. View the full article
  9. PUBG, Counter-Strike, and Dota are said to be some of the most popular titles on Steam. They account for millions of active players every single day. But every so often, we see a game that just steals all the attention. Well, Fall Guys is one of those games. Fall Guys is essentially a Battle Royale game in which you enter the arena with a lot of other players and your objective is to survive till the end. But instead of surviving with weapons and smarts, your objective here is to make it through all the obstacles. © Devolver Digital Playing Fall Guys is basically as close as we'll ever get to going on Takeshi's Castle. You drop in with 59 other players and the rest is all about having fun out there. Here, watch this trailer - Each Fall Guys session takes place over five rounds of elimination contests. In every round, you control a bean-shaped "fall guy". You'll jump through obstacle courses, swinging between platforms and pendulums trying to throw you off the game. It's a lot of fun to play, especially with your friends. The team behind Fall Guys said they saw 1.5 million players within the first 24 hours of the release. That's an insane number considering the fact it came out of nowhere. Steam database numbers reveal that Fall Guys is more popular than GTA 5 and has a more concurrent number of players. When we say Fall Guys is experiencing a lot of traffic... We had over 1.5 million new players in the first 24 hours! We're working on our first patch for the game, listening to ALL of your feedback and ideas, and are super grateful to everyone who's supported so far! ️ pic.twitter.com/OpD714xu26 — Fall Guys (@FallGuysGame) August 5, 2020 Fall Guys even comes close to PUBG. It may not have surpassed PUBG, but the fact it's already up there on the top means that it's a lot more popular than PUBG too. There's also a lot of buzz around it online, more than PUBG ever had. Fall Guys is available for just Rs 529, which we think is a really good price. It's a lot of fun to play and we think it's one of the best online games out there right now. Be sure to check it out if you're looking for something new to play with your friends. The game is available to play on PC and PS4. Check out Fall Guys on Steam View the full article
  10. When Indian actors have some nasty run-ins with the law, news outlets, as well as the common public, have a field day, thanks to the voyeuristic sensibilities that we have developed. Obviously, when it comes to Indian singers and musicians, the fervour among audiences is not different at all. © Viral Bhayani For some reason, most of us think that musicians and singers lead a larger and wilder lifestyle, and have come to expect them to be involved in all kinds of stuff, from hard drugs to an insane drinking habit. More often than not, this might not be the case. However, when we see them get embroiled in a legal battle, we often assume that the people in question live a wild life. © Twitter/its_badshah Here are a few singers and musicians that have been embroiled in some or the other legal battle over the years, which their fans want to forget. 1. Daler Mehndi - Human Trafficking © Wiki Commons Daler Mehendi was actually convicted in a case back from 2003, which accused him of being involved in a human trafficking ring. He was sentenced to two years in prison, but was later granted bail by a district court in Patiala. Apparently, the singer, along with a couple of his brothers would charge up to a crore to take people abroad as a part of their touring troupe and drop them off in USA. 2. Honey Singh - Obscenity & Outraging The Modesty Of Women © Twitter/asliyoyo It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Honey Singh, like a number of Punjabi Rappers, has been accused of obscene lyrics, and outraging the modesty of women, a number of times now. Several police complaints have been filed against the rapper, a number of times. However, things got a little serious for the rapper when an infamous song by the name of Volume 2, whch glorified sexual misconduct and rape, were attributed to him. Honey Singh & his camp have maintained that they did not have anything to do with the song. 3. Badshah - Outraging The Modesty Of Women & Insulting Religious Sentiments © Twitter/its_badshah Badshah’s Genda Phool has caused him more pain than any other song perhaps. First of all there was the bruhaha over cultural appropriation and issues with credits to the original singer, Ratan Kahar. Once that thing was settled, a West Bengal NGO filed a formal complaint, stating that Badshah offended Bengali sentiments by showing Bengali Women in a vulgar manner. The complaint also stated that it hurt religious sentiments by showing the Goddess Durga in a vulgar manner. The complaint eventually led to an FIR. 4. Mika Singh - Sexual Misconduct & Outraging The Modesty Of Women © Viral Bhayani Mika Singh just had to make it to this list. Although he has been embroiled in a number of cases over the years, including possession of illegal currency and alcohol, the two main legal cases of his that are well known for is one involving Rakhi Sawant, and one involving a 17-year-old Brazillian model, for which he was arrested in Dubai. Apparently, he sent some unsolicited nude photos to the minor, and behaved inappropriately, after promising the model a role in a Bollywood film. 5. Aditya Narayan - Rash Driving & Endangering The Lives Of Others © Sony Entertainment Aditya Narayan too has been embroiled in a number of controversies. A few years back, he was seen in a video verbally abusing and getting into a physical altercation with the ground staff of a reputed airline. Soon after that, he was arrested for crashing into an auto and seriously injuring the driver, and a passenger. Although not much details of the case are available in public forums, several reports claimed, that at the time of the accident, Narayan was under the influence, and was intoxicated behind the wheels. 6. Papon - Sexual Misconduct With A Minor © Wiki Commons While judging a reality singing contest, Papon allegedly kissed and inappropriately touched a minor girl. Papon was mentoring the girl in the show. Apparently, the incident took place when they were shooting a celebration sequence for Holi. Papon was charged under POSCO or the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act of 2012, and is under trial. 7. Ankit Tiwari - Sexual Misconduct & Rape © Twitter/ATFans Ankit Tiwari made headlines in 2014 when he and his brother were accused of raping a 28-year-old woman. In 2017, the court acquitted the singer and his brother, after the woman changed her statement was deemed hostile. However, after the hearings, she gave a number of interviews, where she claimed that she was forced to change her statement. The most recent development of the case is that it was being considered to be reinvestigated, once the case is reopened. 8. Sidhu Moosewaala - Violations Of The Arms Act © Twitter/sidhumoosewala A Punjabi singer who has been rising among the ranks of the most popular Punjabi singers, Sidhu Moosewaala, is also currently under investigation, after a video clip showing him shoot an AK-47 at a firing range went viral. Common citizens are not allowed at any firing ranges, and neither are they allowed to own and possess automatic firearms. View the full article

  12. If you enjoy playing video games and have played a lot of single-player titles, then you probably already know what we're about to talk about. Some of the video games that I've played had such an emotional ending that they're better than most of the movies I've watched. Anyway, we're not trying to draw any direct comparisons here, but here's a list of games which we think had more emotional endings than movies and they're worth playing at least once. Life Is Strange Life Is Strange offers the kind of narrative journey that a few video games or even movies can match. It shows one of those video games that tells a compelling story and will keep your interest. I am obviously not going to spoil the game by talking about the ending, but all three installments (including the DLC) are great. The second installment, in particular, has multiple endings, and they all are quite emotional. The Last Of Us The Last Of Us is one of those games that'll stay with me for a very long time. For a game that's based on a post-apocalyptic world, The Last Of Us tells a very emotional story and weaves a great relationship between the two lead characters in the game, Joel and Ellie. You'll get so attached to the characters and the story, that it'll be difficult to let go of it once the story ends. Luckily, the sequel is coming out next month. The Walking Dead Telltale games know how to narrate a good story and The Walking Dead is a really good example. This is a game that spans across a few episodic seasons and collectively they all deliver a heart-wrenching story that's worth playing for. The game takes place in the popular comic and AMC TV series universe and you may even see a familiar face there, so be sure to check it out. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is a very important installment in the series because it marks the end of Nathan Drake's adventures in the game. You already know what they mean, right? Nathan Drake is one of those characters that you'll get attached to, especially if you play all the titles in the franchise one after the other. The final cutscene of the game pulled all the heartstrings for me and I was really sad to put down my controller. Red Dead Redemption 2 The Red Dead Redemption 2 narrates a story that's based around romance, redemption, revenge, and more. It's about living a character and making him the person you want to be with your choices. The story has you rooting for the protagonist Arthur Morgan, and it's all about helping the man find the peaceful life he desires while keeping all the relations in one piece. View the full article
  13. Ramanand Sagarâs Ramayan first aired more than three decades ago in 1987. The amount of sentimentality and reverence the show enjoyed at the time, can be gauged not only by the testimonials the elders in our house share, but also by the showâs current rating on Doordarshan. © MensXP People flocked to the sets in large numbers to get a glimpse of Ram, Laxman and Sita, made immortal by actors Arun Govil, Sunil Lahri and Dipika Chikhlia. As the popular show is being rerun on DD National amid the country-wide lockdown, MensXP got in touch with the son of the showâs late art director. Mr Vipin Bhai Patel was kind enough to share some unknown facts and never-seen-before photos related to Ramanand Sagarâs Ramayan. © MensXP/Vipin Bhai Patel 1. There are many reports which claim that Ramayan was shot in Mumbai. But in reality, the show was shot in the Vrindavan Studio in Umargam, Gujarat. 2. Art director and the then owner of the studio late Mr Hirabhai Patel was responsible for designing all the major components of the show, right from the costumes, sitting areas, chariots to the set itself. © MensXP 3. Hirabhai Patel had also been well-versed in Trick Photography (a special form of photography that uses special methods to make unreal things seem very real), which gave the show a whole new dimension and made everything seem true to life. 4. Mr Hirabhai Patel acquired a 40-acre piece of land in Gujarat under a government subsidy scheme, and set up the Ramayan studio on it. © MensXP 5. The studio is located along a seashore and has multiple locations on its premises. Many scenes featuring the sea in Ramayan were shot inside the studio itself. It is also said that post the shooting of Ramayan, Shri Krishna was also shot in the same studio. 6. Son of Late Mr Hirabhai Patel and the current owner of Vrindavan studio, Vipin Bhai Patel also shared that director Ramanand Sagar and his father were close associates. The director would discuss various matters of the show with Hirabhai Patel and then decide on the future course of action. © MensXP 7. Reportedly, the shooting of Ramayan began in 1985 and went on for the next five years. 8. The studio was let out on shift basis and for every 8-hour shift, the renting changes would be Rs 2000. Every significant scene in the show, right from the jungle to the battle scenes were shot inside the studio. 9. The creation of particular elements of the set, including costumes, jewellery and even weapons were first hand-painted by Mr Hirabhai Patel upon discussing it with the director. Only then were they physically created. 10. Trick photography/videography would be used to make things appear larger than life on-screen. For instance, Ravanâs palace in the show seems humongous, but in reality, the palace was merely 4 feet in height. © MensXP Check out more never-seen-before photos here: © MensXP © MensXP © MensXP Inputs taken from an exclusive story covered by Mradul Rajpoot for MensXP Hindi. 15. Do you believe in ghosts? Do you feel that there is something in between life and death where a few spirits get stuck forever and continue to make contact with the living in one way or another? Do you believe that âsomeoneâ might be staring at you from that dark corner of your room at night while you are asleep? Well, probably not. However, the athletes mentioned below in the list may have had some very peculiar experiences which might make them think otherwise. Here are four ghost stories shared by cricketers: Sourav Ganguly © Reuters In a book named Beefyâs Cricket Tales written by Ian Botham, Sourav Ganugly talks about the paranormal experience he had back in 2002 when India were on a tour of England. âWe were up in Durham for a match at Chestler-le-Street and were being looked after at Lumley Castle, a beautiful hotel that overlooks the ground. As a captain, I was taken up to my suite and I must say it was a magnificent room with everything you could want. We finished training for the day, with the match due to be played the following morning, and I went back to my room before heading out for dinner. When I returned, I closed the curtains and switched off all the lights and climbed into bed,â Ganguly writes. However, the skipper woke up in the middle of the night to the voice of tap water running in his bathroom. âI got up, switched on the lights and went to turn off the water. The taps were already off. I thought I must have dreamt it or heard it from another room. I went back to bed, making sure everything was turned off and the place was quiet, then fell back asleep.â About 30 minutes later, he heard the same sound and woke up again. But when the same thing happened for the third time, Ganguly sprang off his bed and ran to his teammate Robin Singhâs room and slept on the floor without telling anyone about this experience back then. Ganguly has never stayed at the Lumley Castle ever since. Stuart Broad © Reuters In 2014, when England were hosting Sri Lanka for a Test match, pacer Stuart Broad confessed of experiencing âsomething weirdâ in his room in the central-London based five-star rated Langham Hotel. In an interview with Daily Mail, Broad said: âIt was so hot in the room I just couldnât sleep. All of a sudden the taps in the bathroom came on for no reason. I turned the lights on and the taps turned themselves off. Then when I turned the lights off again the taps came on. It was very weird. âIt really freaked me out. I ended up asking to move rooms. Bealey (Broadâs girlfriend) was pretty spooked, too, and I know Moeen Aliâs other half wonât stay there because sheâs so frightened of the ghosts. âBen Stokes has had some problems sleeping as well. Heâs on the third floor, which is where a lot of the issues are. Iâm telling you, something weird is going on." Haris Sohail © Reuters In the beginning of 2015, Pakistan were touring New Zealand when batsman Haris Sohail was found traumatised and feverish in his bedroom after âa supernatural presence shook his bedâ in Christchurchâs Rydges Latimer hotel. According to a report by The Guardian, Sohail had called one of the coaching staff members after being shaken in his sleep and decided to sleep in his coachâs room that night. He was so traumatized by the incident that he even missed a one-day warm-up match against a New Zealand Presidentâs XI. Shane Watson © Reuters In arguably the most famous story of them all, Australian all-rounder Shane Watson amongst many of his teammates felt a bit of uneasiness during their stay at the Lumley Castle (yes, the same hotel where Ganguly heard the open taps) in 2005. Reportedly, Watson decided to get out of his room and sleep on Brett Leeâs floor. The then media manager of the Australian cricket team, Belinda Dennett even told The Sun what she thought sheâd seen that night: "I saw ghosts. I swear I'm telling the truth," she said. "Several of the players were uneasy although a lot of them in the morning said they were fine ... but maybe they were just trying to be brave." "I closed the blind in my room before I went to bed. But when I was woken at 4am by my phone, the blind was up again. I looked out of the window and saw a procession of white people walking past. It was amazing, very scary." "Then I returned to bed and the blind went up again - and there was someone looking in through the window. I know I wasn't dreaming because I wrote down the message from my phone and the time. Certainly, when I started to tell my story, a lot of them didn't want to know the details." View the full article
