  1. Looks like the audience cannot get enough of being 'tabaah ho gaye' after watching and experiencing the magnum opus of this year, 'Kalank'. The Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan starrer movie is a tale of pain and love set amidst the backdrop of the pre-partition era and while many expectations have been shattered in a day, the memes cannot stop pouring on our social media feeds. Audience after watching Kalank. #KalankReview pic.twitter.com/FxGps5Bb2y — Sagar (@sagarcasm) April 17, 2019 Audience in theatre: #KalankReview pic.twitter.com/cdD93CUqEv — Bwoy Bakchod (@bwoybakchod) April 17, 2019 People are claiming they tried hard to find something they can actually like about the movie but alas, they couldn't. Audience looking for good story, plot, screenplay, entertainment in kalank. #KalankReview pic.twitter.com/bFdxBztsdv — SwatKatð (@swatic12) April 17, 2019 Also, while many loved Varun's acting, some ended up making him the meme itself. 2. It's a great month for every Marvel fan and not just because 'Avengers: Endgame' is just a few days away. No, it's not just because of seeing everyone onscreen on April 26th but all the build up and promotion till then. Recently, the cast, along with The Russo Brothers and Kevin Fiege, had a fun press conference in LA and talked about so many things, including Cap's beard. Honestly, the press tour for 'Endgame' has just begun and we've already been getting so many hilarious moments from the cast - are they trying to make up for a lot of people probably dying in the movie? - but it's still to see how much everyone loves each other and how much everyone loves to troll each other. Starting it off well, Chris Hemsworth showed some love to his fellow Avengers by straight up vandalizing their 'Endgame' posters. In the caption, he wrote, “Helping out some fellow avengers with new fresh looks. I can now add make up artist to my powers.” The first victim was Paul Rudd and he got a cool new moustache. With so much discussion about his beard, Cap's new look makes sense. Did you know Tony Stark has a Thor inspired face tattoo? Neither did we. Gwyneth Paltrow got a pass because “she's too pretty”, bur Chris so are Evans, Paul Rudd, and RDJ. The grand finale was none other than Hawkeye! Here's the video. View this post on Instagram Helping out some fellow avengers with new fresh looks. 3. There is something to be said about the charms that are so quintessentially 'Will Smith'. The man is capable of putting you at ease and getting the party started all at once. Will Smith has this upbeatness about him that makes you want to tag along and just enjoy the company. Bollywood had the chance of revelling in Smith's awesome company last year, while the 'Pursuit Of Happyness' star was in India to shoot a dance sequence for Karan Johar's upcoming production 'Student Of The Year 2'. © Facebook While the internet was abuzz with Will Smith's last visit to India, he is yet again trending with the teaser of his upcoming episode on 'Will Smith's Bucket List'. The teaser shows Will Smith arriving for the rehearsal of his dance performance on 'Radha Teri Chunari' to be featured on SOTY 2. We can see Will really struggling with the desi moves the choreographer suggests, and what's more, at one point he even confesses to having elbowed another dancer accidently while practising, “I don't know who it was, but I elbowed someone very hard while getting the flute up.” © Twitter The practise sesh looks funny when you consider Smith's struggles trying to get the bansuri step right, but he eventually gets it. And honestly, we can't wait to take a look at the final music video, which also stars Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Pandey, for no other reason than to watch Will Smith shaking a leg to full-on desi Bollywood song. Watch the entire episode of 'Bollywood Dancing' from 'Will Smith's Buck List' here:
  4. 1st April a.k.a April Fool's Day has always been the day on which all brands try to put their best foot forward and lie to us for the sake of, well, comedy. You definitely shouldn't be believing what you see or hear on April Fool's day, but it's also the day that brings out the best in the tech space. Well, 2019 was no exception, and we got to see a lot of interesting stuff from big name companies. But here are the best April Fool's Day pranks, which we wish actually real: 1. Notifications That Literally Follow! Duolingo's pesky notifications bugging you every day to take your language test can get super annoying, which is why we're sure you end up ignoring them. But this April fool's day, the company took a step further by introducing the idea of having a large green owl appear in real life and follow you around to remind you to practice your language lessons. Heck, they even come in three modes - encouraging, disappointed, or passive aggressive - and it's downright hilarious. Check it out - 2. A Smart Assistant For Gaming? Sure. Nvidia also took it a step further by announcing a GeForce RTX smart assistant called R.O.N. The company claims it can give you cool tips when you play games like Apex Legends, telling you to hide, etc. R.O.N. can also use its brains to leave comments on sites like Reddit and Twitch for you. But be careful, R.O.N. can become a serious troll. The best part, however, has got to be the device itself, which throws a really cool holograph. Check it out - 3. RGB CPU, Anyone? Newegg's new CPU for April Fool's day makes us wonder - “How much RGB is too much RGB?” Seriously, the company showcased an RGB CPU for people who just can't have enough RGB in their life. It costs a hefty $4,999.99, and it comes with a whopping 100 cores and 200 threads. Its base clock is a supposed 1.4 Petahertz and overclock, well, if you overclock it, Newegg says you “might create a small black hole inside your CPU.” It's not something that we want, because the CPU will anyway be tucked inside a cooler, but it's a hilarious idea. Check it out here - 4. Do You Like Cup Noodles? Yes, that's what HyperX and Nissin came up with. Needs no explanation we suppose? They even claim that you can detach the fork and slurp some noodles while gaming. Sounds just about right. © HyperX - Noodles 5. Like Sharing Your Music? If you don't like HyperX's idea, then how about something more practical? Like this Jabra Earbud(dy) headphones, with which you can share the music that you're listening to. It apparently comes with an ultra-light headband that can be extended “seamlessly to accommodate the perfect fit for every pair of buddies.” © Jabra 6. An App Find Your Lost LEGO Bricks? LEGO's “Find My Brick”, as the name suggests, is a parody of Apple's Find My iPhone app. It will help you find your bricks for you in a pile of miscellaneous blocks. Image how simple your life would be with such an app, and that's exactly why we think this should actually be real. The long search is finally over... ð± #FindMyBrick pic.twitter.com/3yBIPJ2OPk — LEGO (@LEGO_Group) April 1, 2019 Well, that wraps our list of April Fool's pranks. Of course, there were countless other pranks by the likes of OnePlus, Razer, Tinder, etc., but these are the ones which we truly wished existed in real life, especially the Nvidia R.O.N. and LEGO app.
  5. It's a good day to be alive because we have a fresh new batch of tweets from Uday baba, who's done a good job in the past keeping us entertained with his witty (or not) Tweets. (c)Pintrest This time Uday Chopra was deliberating one real profound and existential question we've all tried to seek answers to, in the past. His question was pertinent to the fact that is it okay to not believe in God in a country that's always exposed to a great deal of religion, rituals, languages and mythologies that are believed to stand true. He tweeted his query directly to his Twitter fans and said: “Are we allowed to be Atheists in India?” Are we allowed to be Atheists in India? — Uday Chopra (@udaychopra) 22 March 2019 Well, to be absolutely honest, that's a fair question to ask if you're thoroughly confused if a bunch of beliefs are thrown at you on a daily basis, when you know you don't want to be a part of them. It does leave someone who is conflicted about his or her views on religion and God, a tad confused and if they want to seek an external opinion, so be it! (c)Pintrest Upon reading Uday's Tweet, actor Farhan Akhtar gave his little witty remark, which was probably befitting to his question. He said: "God Knows", with an eyes rolled-up emoticon. God knows. ð — Farhan Akhtar (@FarOutAkhtar) 23 March 2019 Well, that's funny but Uday Chopra went on to deliberate a little more on the topic. He wrote: “People are fighting over each other's unproved imaginary beings and yet that's all ok but the moment one says I don't really believe in an an imaginary unprovable sky daddy, I'm the weird one.” People are fighting over each other's unproved imaginary beings and yet that's all ok but the moment one says I don't really believe in an an imaginary unprovable sky daddy, I'm the weird one! — Uday Chopra (@udaychopra) 22 March 2019 Did he just call God 'Sky daddy'? Well, yes, people are fighting over the unproved, imaginary sky daddy and I am sure that's created quite a conflict in the actor's head as he obviously doesn't believe in a so-called 'sky daddy'. Here's a thought: you can hold a gun to my head a force me to believe in your god. I'll even say yes I do...cause let's face it I want to live, but how do you know what I really believe in my head? I don't think even your god knows, most likely cause it's imaginary — Uday Chopra (@udaychopra) 22 March 2019 It's been quite an existential day to deliberate over certain dilemmas in Uday's baba life. Although, his point is fair and reasonable, it could have been better articulated we feel. Even so, his Twitter fans definitely replied to his Tweet and shared their perspective. If you are strong enough to handle dirty looks thrown at you or the frequent eye rolls, be one. — Varsha Patil (@DrVarshaa) 23 March 2019 Pick your battles wisely, some are not worth it. — Jolie Sohi (@jolie_sohi) 22 March 2019 Did you come to India today? — Sudip Dhiren (@sudipd_ABpos) 23 March 2019 Yes, we can be.. problem arises when we boast it!! ð — Murali Nair (@MuraliCRNair) 23 March 2019 under the current regime, you're not allowed to be anything but hindu — cool and good (@TheHedgehog123) 22 March 2019 You can be what you like as long as you don't announce it on social media! — Mini Ribeiro (@MiniRib) 23 March 2019 It is allowed but u'll have to be hard in listening abuses — Shubham Khandelwal (@shubham_2107) 22 March 2019 Well, this has been an entertaining thread Uday baba and we hope you keep giving us these small doses of thought-provoking conversations, every now and then.
  6. One would think twice before getting or even attempting to get into a battle of words with human lexicon Shashi Tharoor. The amazing man can put a lock on anyone's tongue with the amount of vocabulary knowledge his brain has and his language skills are probably sharper than an IELTS examiner. © Twitter However, ace comedian Hasan Minhaj, who is currently enjoying mega-fame with his show on Netflix, attempted to indulge in a battle of words with Mr Tharoor, and to our surprise, the Congress leader lost! Well, in his defence, it was a millennial slang war but whatever, watching the video is a hilarious visual delight. View this post on Instagram I hope @shashitharoor starts talking like this in parliament. A post shared by Hasan Minhaj (@hasanminhaj) on Mar 19, 2019 at 7:24am PDT From the word 'thicc' to the word 'snacc' , Dr. Tharoor is amused beyond measure as he willingly gives up on the game but his sporting spirit and innocent ignorance of these millennial slangs makes the video more fun to watch.
  7. Even if you are just a casual fan of cricket, you know that the former Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is famous for his unorthodox style of playing the game. Be it his uncanny ways of stumping the opponents from behind the wicket or the unique commentary as the keeper, Dhoni's mind works in mysterious ways. In more than 15 years of brilliance on the cricketing field, Dhoni's atypical methods have very seldom failed to provide the cricketer with desirable results and have continued to make his fans marvel at the way Dhoni's genius works. The man has even contributed to the game by coming up with a shot of his own! Popularly known as the 'Helicopter shot' this extraordinary maneuver isn't the prettiest shot in the world but it surely gets the job done for 'Thala'. In an unprecedented combination of wrist movement and beastly power from the shoulders, Dhoni's 'Helicopter shot' normally hits the ball on a low point while making the bat go in a circular motion instead of the typical 'above the shoulder' follow-through. While this is MSD's own creation, him attempting the shot has become extremely rare as his raw nature evolved with the help of experience and practice. However, there's a video that's surfaced on YouTube that shows Dhoni trying to hit the iconic shot on almost every single ball delivered by the Pakistani bowler Mohammad Asif. According to the video, India were in a comfortable spot requiring just 28 runs from 30 ball to win the game when Pak bowler Mohammad Asif came in to bowl the fifth last over of the game. It seems 'Mahi Bhai' was in some kind of hurry as he scored a couple of boundaries and even a maximum using just the Helicopter. He also hit two more deliveries in similar fashion but failed to collect runs on those. We'll never know what goes inside the cool and calm mind of the future ICC Hall of Famer. All we can do is sit back and acknowledge his greatness.
  8. I don't know exactly when this meme started, but I'm so on board with the entire 'spoiler without context' thing. It's so simple and genius, if you've seen the movie, you'll get the joke and that's fun and if you haven't yet watched a certain movie, congrats nothing is getting spoiled! I think the first time I saw the movie spoiler without context tweets, was right after the release of 'Avengers: Infinity War' and since then I've seen more and more people tweet this for different movies. Along with 'Infinity War', we've seen some hilarious spoilers for movies like 'Deadpool 2' and 'Antman And The Wasp'. Now, another Marvel movie is all set to join the list. Yes, 'Captain Marvel' basically just released and well, a lot of people still have to watch it, but you know that Twitter works fast. There are already a bunch of spoilers without context floating around the website and they're hilarious. 9. Ever since making her debut in 2013, Smriti Mandhana has come a long way to becoming a vital cog in the Indian women's cricket team. On the back of consistent performances, the left-hander has become one of the batting mainstays for her side across the formats. Her majestic strokeplay and ability to mould her innings have been the prime reasons why she is India's preferred opener. Such has been her batting performances that, in February, Mandhana became the world's no. 1 batswoman in One-Day Internationals (ODIs). She is also placed sixth in the list of top batswoman in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). One of the key members of the Indian women's team, the youngster has aided her side in crunch situations more often, than not. © Red Bull The 22-year-old's outstanding achievements in cricket also earned her the coveted Arjuna Award in 2018. In the same year, the International Cricket Council (ICC) also awarded her the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award for the best female cricketer of 2018. She was also named the ODI Player of the Year in 2018. While Mandhana's batting might has been well known around the globe, she has successfully managed to keep her personal life under wraps all this while. But, not anymore. In one of its first, the Red Bull athlete took the 'Quirky Questions Quiz' and spilt the beans on her real-life secrets. Q. If you had one hour left on Earth what would you do? A. Half an hour batting and the other half with my friends and family. Q. If you were not a cricketer what would you be? A. I would be a chef. It's been a long time I've been cooking. Earlier, I used to get time to cook. And, I've also taken classes of cooking Punjabi dishes. I use to love making paneer tikka masala and all. Q. What are the destinations on your travel bucket list? A. Right now, Switzerland and Austria. Q. What do you do on your day offs? A. I love sleeping and watching movies. Q. One cricketer you want to partner with? A. Australian captain Meg Lanning. I really admire her batting and it would be great to bat alongside her. Q. A well-kept locker room secret? A. If it's a secret well kept, it should be well kept in the locker room only. Q. What are you scared of the most? A. Crossing the road scares me the most. And, I also can't watch horror movies at all. Q. Pineapple on pizza? A. No, not at all.
  10. Galaxy Unpacked and MWC were the choice of venue for Huawei and Samsung to unveil their iterations of a foldable smartphone. Both phones have managed to capture the imagination of smartphone users, however, there's an unlikely company using the same marketing style to promote their own product. It's even called the “LEGO Fold”. © Samsung Behold, we give you LEGO's own foldable toy that's actually a pop-up book set, that is being promoted in the same style as Samsung's Galaxy Fold. The device in question has a 5-inch cover display and an 11-inch pop 'screen'. The Samsung Galaxy Fold, on the other hand, is 4.6-inches when folded and 7.3-inched when unfolded. Of course, the LEGO Fold is not really a smartphone however we can appreciate LEGO's level of trolling. A stunning 5-inch cover display unfolds into an 11-inch pop-up story book. For endless creative play that never runs out of battery. pic.twitter.com/yodboV2aEK — LEGO (@LEGO_Group) March 4, 2019 © Lego, Samsung LEGO's trolling efforts go further as the company released the artwork with the caption “creative play that never runs out of battery” comparing the storybook with a smartphone. LEGO has been a leading toy maker and it is quite refreshing to see the company take a dig on smartphones. We live in an age where smartphones/tablets are rapidly replacing toys as a source of entertainment for kids. What's great about the LEGO Fold is that it doesn't cost as much as Samsung or Huawei's offering. It will sell for $69.99 which is nothing when compared to Galaxy Fold's price tag of $2000.
  11. Ryan Reynolds is Detective Pikachu. After Deadpool, he's now the world's most adorable Pokemon. Find an actor with more range. Well, you can't. Ryan takes all his roles completely seriously and is the definition of a method actor like Christian Bale. As it turns out, he decided to literally become Pikachu for his upcoming movie, and I must say, he nailed it. You can't even tell the difference between them. Twitter Sharing his journey of becoming the cute little yellow Pokemon, he gave everyone an insight into how much hard work he actually put in for the challenging role. He starts by saying, “I lived and I breathed and I became the character. I spent the entire year as Detective Pikachu.” Twitter He went to tell everyone the extent of his method acting - “As many of you know, I vanish into my roles.” And, of course, it was followed by an anecdote about it. He recalled, “I was on my way to pick up my daughters from school when I heard I got the role. I didn't show up at the school because Detective Pikachu doesn't know who those little girls are. Who are they?” At this point, a visibly annoyed Blake Lively had to interject. She said, “They're our daughters. He just left them.” Then, he talked about how much he immersed himself in the world of Pokemon. He read about him - Lived at his height - He even tried to lose 182 pounds to match Pikachu's weight, until the doctors intervened. So much dedication! Then, he goes on to say, “The point is my daughters, they may never see their dad again but you can be damned sure that they're going to be looking up at that screen this summer and they're going to see Detective Pikachu,” he says triumphantly. To which, Blake obviously laughs and say, “We're not going.” I really don't have anything to say about Ryan's sense of humour that hasn't already been said, but I just want to say this man always surprises me with how brilliant he actually is. 12. The sixth season of 'Koffee With Karan' is hands down the best season of all time. In fact, with each episode, the show is only getting bigger and better, both for the fans as well as for the trolls. The previous episode saw the cast of 'Student Of The Year 2' Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria brew gossip and coffee on Karan Johar's coveted 'Koffee' couch. The episode ended with Ananya Panday winning the hamper and now she is winning the internet by trolling herself. 13. For a man who was busy honing his skills as a chess player before representing India at junior levels, Yuzvendra Chahal has undoubtedly come a long way to become one of the country's preferred spinners in limited-overs cricket. Making his debut in 2016, the leggie has managed to rise through the ranks in Indian cricket and forged a vital partnership with fellow spinner Kuldeep Yadav for his side. Continuing his fine form, the 23-year-old played a pivotal role in India's historic 4-1 win the five-match One-Day International (ODI) series in New Zealand. In the five games he played, Chahal bagged nine wickets - emerging as the joint leading wicket-taker alongside Mohammed Shami in the ODI series. But, apart from bamboozling the opposition batsmen, Chahal has carved his own niche with wit and pun. He has struck a chord with cricket fans through his very own 'Chahal TV' - a show that has now become a one-stop shop for fans to watch their favourite cricketers talk about the game. Instagram/@rohitsharma45 Though he has been seen poking fun at other cricketers on his chat show, Chahal was given a taste of his own medicine by none other than 'Hitman' Rohit Sharma. In one of his Instagram stories, the Indian opener shared a picture of the banner of Oriental Bank of Commerce that had Chahal on it. Taking a dig at his teammate, Rohit added the text 'GOAT' on the picture as a laugh riot ensued amongst cricket fans on Instagram. Meanwhile, both Rohit and Chahal will play a pivotal role in the upcoming T20I and ODI series against Australia at home. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also announced a 15-member squad for the two T20Is which will be followed by five ODIs. Here's a look at India's squad: For T20I series: Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma (vc), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Vijay Shankar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, Sidharth Kaul, Mayank Markande. For 1st and 2nd ODI: Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma (vc), Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohamed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Vijay Shankar, Rishabh Pant, Siddharth Kaul, KL Rahul. For remaining 3 ODIs: Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma (vc), Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Vijay Shankar, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant.
  14. The past few weeks have been really joyous for the Indian cricket fans. While the men's team was seen romping their way to an emphatic ODI series win, the women's team, too, clinched a historic series triumph in the 50-over format against New Zealand. Both the Indian cricket teams were clinical in the ODIs, but the men's and women's brigade suffered defeats in the first T20I against the Kiwis. While the Rohit Sharma-led side lost the first match of the T20I series by 80 runs, Harmanpreet Kau & co were also seen going down against the Kiwis, losing the game by 23 runs. Trailing 0-1 in the three-match series, both the teams will be eager to shrug off their defeats and make a strong comeback in what has now become do-or-die encounters on 8th February. Twitter/@BCCI But, as the Indian fans await a strong return from the two Indian teams, they had something to cheer for and laugh at - thanks to 'Chahal TV'. The humorous show, hosted by Yuzvendra Chahal, has already struck a chord with fans for the candid interviews taken by the Indian spinner. But, on 7th February, the popularity of the show scaled new heights after Indian opener Smriti Mandhana became the first female cricketer to appear on 'Chahal TV'. Joking about taking inspiration from Chahal's batting, the Indian batswoman said: “I was so inspired after looking at your batting in the 4th ODI that I told myself that I need to develop my game. You are my batting inspiration". To which, Chahal was quick to reply: "She has chosen the perfect batsman to improve her batting". Apart from that, Mandhana, who recently became the no. 1 batswoman in ODI cricket, also revealed why she chose the no. 18 jersey like Virat Kohli. “I initially wanted the number 7 because that was my roll number in school. But that was not available. Then I was recommended taking the 18 number because it is also my birthday (18th July). I didn't know then that Virat bhayya has the same number. I have known for last two years,” she said.
  15. Included in the national team following his heroics in the Plunket Shield, Lockie Ferguson has become a vital cog for New Zealand in international cricket. A right-arm seamer who boasts of a troublesome bouncer, Ferguson has thrived on his ability to bowl quick with pinpoint accuracy. India's ongoing tour of New Zealand also witnessed Ferguson's heroics despite the fact the hosts stuttered to a 1-4 defeat in the ODI series. While Ferguson couldn't save his side in the ODIs, he played a crucial role in helping the Kiwis inflict a massive 80-run loss on the visitors and take a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. © Twitter/@ICC The right-arm seamer took a stunning catch to dismiss Rohit Sharma and then bowled a searing 151-kmph yorker to castle Shikhar Dhawan's stumps. In a game where Indian bowlers were hammered all around the park, Ferguson was seen bowling with precision before registering impressive figures of 2-22. While Ferguson attracted a lot of plaudits for his bowling effort, Indian cricket fans couldn't help but take a dig at him for his moustache. Drawing comparisons with 'Lt. Smith' - a fictional character played by actor Ben Nealon - from the Bollywood movie 'Lagaan', Indian fans expressed their views on Ferguson and his iconic moustache. Lockie Ferguson looks like Lt. 16. There is something about the friendships that are forged in the Bollywood industry. Like it is the case with any workplace friendship, these stars also end up establishing bonds that help them enjoy the entire process of filmmaking, be it as an actor, director or another cast member. While we can give you innumerable examples of great friendships that have bloomed in the industry courtesy all the kickass films that the Hindi film industry churns out year after year, we want to talk about a very interesting turn that Riteish Deshmukh and Ajay Devgn's friendship has taken on Twitter of late. © YouTube It all started when Ajay recently took to Twitter to share a photograph of himself and director Indra Kumar, while Riteish could be seen in the background, having gotten caught in the shot unaware. However, it was Ajay's caption on the post saying, “piche yeh daadi wala baba kaun hai?”, which started a hilarious banter between the two. पà¥à¤à¥ यॠदाढ़ॠवाला बाबा à¤à¥à¤¨ हà¥? ð¤pic.twitter.com/3VsCmeIXxO — Ajay Devgn (@ajaydevgn) January 30, 2019 Riteish decided to get back at Ajay with a tweet and the allusion will make you LOL. Taking inspiration from Devgn's trademark stunt, wherein he is seen riding on two vehicles at once, as made iconic by his pose in 'Phool Aur Kaante' and recreated in the 'Golmaal' series, Riteish posted a video of a dog riding atop a auto and wrote, “@ajaydevgn just saw your dog....” © Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd .@ajaydevgn just saw your dog.... pic.twitter.com/EMOBnwRykB — Riteish Deshmukh (@Riteishd) February 5, 2019 Ajay's reply to this dig has left us in splits. 17. After a successful outing in Australia, our men in blue are giving the Kiwis a living nightmare in the ongoing India vs New Zealand series. Virat Kohli and his boys are already leading 2-0 with two consecutive wins in Napier and Mount Maunganui and the fate looks brighter yet again when the two teams will hit it out on Monday in the third ODI. © Twitter Bowing down to the dominance of the Indian team, the Eastern District Police in New Zealand decided to deal with it in a hilarious and an innovative way by actually issuing a clever warning against the men in blue. The warning reads as follows: "Police would like to issue a warning to members of the public about the exploits of a group touring the country at the moment. Witnesses report seeing this group badly assault an innocent looking bunch of New Zealanders in both Napier and Mt Maunganui in the last week. Extra care should be taken if you are carrying anything that looks like a cricket bat or ball." Everyone out there is taking it with a pinch of salt and in fact, agreeing with it! © Facebook Meanwhile, NZ captain Kane Williamson has been quite vocal about the whole defeat being a little frustrating. “Little frustrating, not so much the loss but how we are losing is the problem. Credit to India. Some of the dismissals were a result of us going too hard maybe. If we had wickets in hand, you never know but we didn't have wickets in hand. Those are the lessons that we need to take ahead," he said. The next ODI is tomorrow and with our team leading the series, we really hope the victory is ours.
  18. Actor R. Madhavan is currently busy with his upcoming directorial debut, 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'. Madhavan will play the 77-year-old ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer, Nambi Narayanan in the biopic, and is already getting rave reviews from his fans for his incredible transformation. © Instagram In all honesty, Madhavan looks so convincing in these pictures that it often becomes difficult to identify which of them is the real scientist and who is his on-screen avatar. 19. In the ever-competitive era of cricket, the gentleman's game has witnessed numerous changes. From the advent of new shots by batsmen to the cunning variations of bowlers, cricket as a sport continues to evolve with time. But, 'sun strike' was a term that was not really heard of in cricketing circles (at least not at the international level). In first of its kind, the 1st ODI between India and New Zealand witnessed the so-called 'sun strike' that halted play at the McLean Park in Napier. After reducing the Kiwis to a 157-run total, a strong batting side like India was not really going to fall behind in their run-chase. But, the loss of Rohit Sharma (11) in the 10th over surely got the hosts interested. In the 11th over, Shikhar Dhawan was on strike, facing Lockie Ferguson who started off with a wide. But, before the Kiwi pacer could right his wrong, the sun had its say. With the sunlight straight into the eyes of the batsman, the umpires decided to halt play before the players went off the field. Meanwhile in Napier...#NZvIND pic.twitter.com/3p5j18O3hg — ICC (@ICC) January 23, 2019 "The setting sun is directly in the eyes of the batsmen. So we got to consider the safety of the players, umpires. So we have decided to suspend play until conditions improve. This is the first time in my 14 years that I have seen something like this happen on a cricket field. Good news is we have 30 minutes extra time. We are hoping to be back in 30 minutes and it will still be a 50-over game," umpire Shaun Haig explained. After a brief hold up, the players got back on the field and cricketing action resumed. 'Sun strike' interrupting play is quite common at the McLean Park as it was observed during a Super Smash - New Zealand's domestic T20 competition - fixture earlier in January. While some were still coming to terms with the 'sun strike', other cricket fans made full use of the unexpected break by creating hilarious memes that thronged the social media. Wait! What? 20. Okay. If I'm being honest here, when I saw the first trailer of 'Shazam', my instant reaction was 'what the f*ck?' I mean, this was a DC movie for crying out loud, so why did it look like anything but a regular DC movie, which is full of dark and brooding angst? With all the jokes and the damn bright colours…something was off. But hey, I was not complaining. I am all for change, and if DC is on its way to shedding its dark avatar and incorporates a little heart and humour, I am in! So, when the second trailer of 'Shazam' dropped, sure I was expecting the awesomeness of the last trailer, and I was not disappointed. I mean. LOOK. AT. THAT. Oh, yes, please! Also, I was waiting for the slapstick cheesy humour. And it was delivered perfectly making fans chuckle in unison. But, what I did NOT see coming was the obvious swing it took at one of its own most iconic characters- BATMAN! A few seconds into the trailer and we get to see the giant red words saying- HE'S NOT SO SERIOUS! I mean, come on! You've got to agree that turning the Joker's iconic line around into something so silly yet awesome, was brilliant! Kind of sets the whole tone for the movie and gives us a hint of what we should expect from the movie. Also Billie, who is now in his full-on, bright and ridiculously padded up Shazam costume, sitting with his best friend Freddy and asking a real estate agent for a 'lair' which is ideally located on a “cliff or a castle-esque thing, overlooking some water splashing on rocks and stuff” is the most hysterical thing ever! Of course, we get to see more of Shazam in pure hero-mode putting his awesome powers to use. Watch the full trailer: Needless to say, the trailer left me salivating and wanting for more. However, I wasn't so sure if a lot of DC fans were going to like this radical change in concept, but I had nothing to worry about, as fans are clearly loving this trailer: After seeing Aquaman and watching the new teaser for #Shazam, I'm so excited to see where the DC universe is going in terms of film. 22. In a bizarre yet funny happenstance across the world, Nine Network cricket commentator Mark Nicholas is in the news for making an absolute fool of himself. While being on the panel for the third and final Test match between Pakistan and South Africa in Johannesburg, the English commentator mistook dwarves for children and went on about commenting on the way they were playing cricket, quite endearingly might I add. (c)Twitter The blunder was committed during the second day's play when South Africa was batting in the first innings. During the break, two dwarves were shown playing the game on the grass banks, where one was bowling to another who was using a miniature bat. (c)Twitter When the camera zoomed towards them playing, Nicholas got super excited and probably thought he's spied on a bowling prodigy in the making, as the dwarf who was bowling, was using a rather advanced technique, to send down some left-arm spinning. This is what he said: “Okay well, it's important to start young. Look at this … spin it. Oh, I like that!” Even though the camera was zoomed into the dwarves enjoying a mild game of cricket at the time, Nicholas couldn't figure who they were. He probably thought some very talented kids are bowling a decent delivery, with left-arm spin bowling! All this while, Nicholas's fellow commentator Kevin Pietersen was left in splits because Nicholas just couldn't figure the right from the wrong. 23. For a club that has won a record 20 Premier League titles in its rich history, Manchester United have struggled to emulate the success of their predecessors in recent years. Ever since legendary Sir Alex Ferguson parted ways from the Old Trafford, the Red Devils have consistently struggled at the helm of ever-changing managers. Thus, earlier this season, when Jose Mourinho got sacked as United's manager, the news didn't really surprise anyone owing to the disappointing run the Manchester club had to endure under the tutelage of the Portuguese. But, things have looked better for the United fans since club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as interim coach. © Reuters A team that was earlier struggling to score goals, let alone produce convincing wins, United are not only witnessing a goals galore, but they are currently unbeaten in their last five Premier League games. But, what really made their turnaround noticeable was arguably the resilient 1-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur in their last game. While Marcus Rashford scored the lone goal in the much-anticipated clash, it was David de Gea who attracted major plaudits for his insane shot-stopping abilities against the Spurs. The Spaniard made some extraordinary saves in the final 45 minutes of the game to leave fans and players spellbound with his impeccable goal guarding prowess. 25. Ever since trading his Tottenham Hotspur's whites for Manchester City's blue jersey, Kyle Walker has become a vital cog in Pep Guardiola's world class outfit. Proving his mettle in the flexible right-back position, the England footballer has improved as a player and already boasts of a Premier League title, won through City's historic run last season. Continuing his fine form, the 28-year-old was among the scorers who recently annihilated Burton Albion in City's merciless 9-0 thrashing in the Carabao Cup. While City's rampant scoreline, in itself, garnered a lot of attention, Walker, too, grabbed the spotlight for his antics after the game. © Reuters Elated with his goal and performance of his teammates, the England international produced a tongue-in-cheek moment with a hilarious, but useless, post on Instagram. Sharing a picture of his goal against Burton, Walker claimed that he was better than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on the basis of some light-hearted stats. The City star captioned the picture, "Goals in 2019: Walker - 1, Ronaldo - 0, Goals in Carabao Cup: Walker - 1, Messi - O, end of discussion?". In what seems to be nothing more than a joke, Walker claimed that since he has scored more goals than Ronaldo (nine days into 2019) and more goals than Messi in the Carabao Cup (a competition that the Argentine can't play in), he has reached a conclusion on who is the best player in the world. View this post on Instagram Goals in 2019: Walker: 1 Ronaldo: 0 Goals in Carabao Cup: Walker: 1 Messi: 0 End of discussion? Both the mega stars have won the Ballon d'Or a record five times. But, their dominance at the prestigious honour was finally broken by Real Madrid's Luka Modric who became the first player, other than Ronaldo and Messi, since 2007 to win the Ballon d'Or. Following his far-fetched comments, Walker will now be hoping to walk the talk when City return to Premier League action when they host resilient Wolves - a side that has held the defending champions to a 1-1 draw earlier this season. In terms of the title race, after losing some ground with back-to-back defeats, City produced a prolific performance to beat arch-rivals Liverpool that allowed them close the gap at the top to four points now.
