  1. The famous police headquarters of The Scotland Yard is now opening its doors as a lavish 5 star hotel, courtesy Indian billionaire Yusuff Ali who spent over 75 million pounds on revamping it. © Daily Mail Mr. Yusuff is the owner of the Lulu Group in the Gulf and his company has a turnover of over £5.6billion. The Scotland Yard hotel has over 153 rooms and a night here will be over 10,000 pounds which translates to around Rs 9 lakhs per night. Obviously, the rooms will have an enviable view of the Westminster Abbey and the Buckingham Palace as well. © Twitter © Daily Mail Old prisoner cells have been converted into meeting rooms and secet whiskey bar and a big chandelier in the hotel is a tribute to a gang of famous female robbers, the Forty Elephants. © Daily Mail The hotel will open its doors this year and promises a different experience to its guests. Who even thought that a place guarding prisoners would turn into something which commands you to throw so much money to spend a night here!
  2. Mahendra Singh Dhoni needs no introduction. Neither is there a need to mention why his fans love him so much and continue to call him 'Captain Cool' till this day. He is one of the coolest and remarkable cricketers whose ideologies and charm rub off on his teammates too. From sleeping on the field during a match, to pulling over his car to meet a young fan; Dhoni's fans love him for his down-to-earth attitude and after learning that he once drove a bus after being appointed Test captain, we can't help but agree with it more. Reuters Reportedly, former Indian batsman VVS Laxman recently revealed in his autobiography '281 and Beyond' that back in 2008, Dhoni himself drove the team bus to the hotel. It was Laxman's 100th test and Anil Kumble had announced his retirement from cricket, making Dhoni the 'Test in charge'. Reuters He wrote, "One of my abiding memories is of MS (Dhoni) driving the team bus to the hotel in Nagpur, during my 100th Test. I couldn't believe my eyes — the captain of the team driving us back from the ground! It was his first Test in charge after Anil's (Kumble) retirement, and he didn't seem to have a care in the world. But he was like that, playful and grounded. MS never lost the joy, the playfulness. I have never met anyone quite like him." Reuters Laxman further revealed that Dhoni always remained calm and was never agitated even when the team wasn't performing well. Talking about his calm, he wrote, "MS Dhoni's calmness and equanimity are legendary. He had seen nothing but success until the tour of England in 2011. We had lost 4–0 in England and had already lost the first three Tests in Australia by the end of that year, and were heading for another whitewash." He further mentioned, "I was a mess, as were most of the guys, but MS was unbelievably composed. Not once did he lash out, and at no stage did he give the impression that he was frustrated or helpless." Probably, it's this calm and composed nature of his that sets him apart from his fellow players. After all, there's a reason why his fans call him 'Captain Cool'.

  5. Half of the internet, most of who happen to be cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra's fans, went into a meltdown after coming across his post on Twitter. Reason? His 'double than most of our salaries' food bill. Aakash Chopra paid a whopping 7 lakh food bill, but here's the catch. While, some thought that it's Rs. 7 lakh, it is actually the Indonesian Rupiah he's talking about, which is around 3300 in Indian currency. When Twitter was busy reacting to Chopra's food bill, we came across Cristiano Ronaldo's generous act towards a certain hotel in Greece where he was chilling with his family. An act that's worth way more than most of our annual salaries. Felicidades nesta nova etapa. â½ï¸ A post shared by Andrade (@andrade5212) on Jul 12, 2018 at 10:34am PDT Post Portugal's exit from the World Cup Round of 16, Cristiano Ronaldo took some time off to explore the picturesque locales of Greece, and relish the Greek hospitality at Costa Navarino hotel with his girlfriend and family. By the end of his stay, he was so impressed by the staff and their services that he gave them a whopping £17,850 as a tip. FYI it's close to Rs. 16 lakh. Honestly, it will take me two glances at my bank balance before this news finally sinks in. Lovely moments!ðð½ A post shared by Cristiano Ronaldo (@cristiano) on Jul 12, 2018 at 12:45pm PDT Reportedly, the gesture came after he signed for Juventus in a EUR 100 million deal. In fact, the deal was finalized during the Greece trip as he was in talks with Juventus executive Andrea Agnelli during that time. We guess Cristiano Ronaldo's heart is bigger than his pocket. So what if he exited the World Cup early, he sure left a huge smile on the faces of the hotel staff that served him during his stay.
