The Indian Premier League is a wild ride where there is chaos, and fierce competition and every single day someone or the other goes on to have a match of the lifetime. It is a great gesture for the league and all the 10 franchises to acknowledge the players’ success during the post-match award ceremony that takes place every single night. But while there are some really good awards and means to encourage the players to continue to do better on the field, in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, as a marketing stunt, Swiggy, the Indian online food ordering and delivery platform, decided to reward the bowler who goes on to bowl the fastest delivery of the match. I think swiggy fastest delivery should be the most stupid award ive seen in IPL. You get hammered for a 6 bowling 155 kmph, doesn't matter here's your 1 lakh. — arfan (@Im__Arfan) April 7, 2022 “Fastest Delivery of the Match Award” they call it and it has quickly become one of the most hated things about this season of the Indian T20 tournament. There are multiple reasons why fans are absolutely against such an award. First of all, it completely disregards the spinners, who have absolutely no chance of winning it, thereby demoralising them and making them feel inferior to the pacers, whereas real cricketers know that that can never be the case. The award ceremony goes on for too long. Like there are too many of them. At this point the whole league is an Advertisement and some cricket in between, even the commentators have to market some products in their stint every game. — Skidmark (@FrAnkenstien978) April 7, 2022 Secondly, it does not take into account the consequences of the “fastest delivery”. Even if that ball gets smashed over the field for a six, the bowler is going to get rewarded, simply because he threw the ball faster than the rest of the guys. Thirdly, it only adds to the already exhausting post-match award ceremony and is honestly not something that is worthy of watching the highlights again. The fans are tired, the players are tired and usually, it is almost midnight by the time all the awards are distributed. Asking fans to stick around for so long, especially children is simply unacceptable. Fans have always been in favour of the BCCI experimenting with the IPL, after all, it is their brainchild. Back in the day, there used to be an award called “Karbonn Kamal Katch” that used to reward the fielder for taking the most impressive catch of the match and it made sense. It was fair to all and genuinely added value to the team’s hustle to win. But with the inception of the “fastest delivery award” cricket fans on Reddit and other social media platforms have started calling the IPL “lazy” for not being innovative enough to further commercialise themselves. As Swiggy, the idea of rewarding speedy deliveries does sound good in the head but when it comes to execution, the company might just have missed the mark with this one. Bowler recieving this award : pic.twitter.com/RAzz5dgjn4 — Freeshabh (@Rishabhahaha) April 7, 2022It lines with their mantra of that we will deliver fast, but it may be the wrong thing in the end, but we will deliver https://t.co/TqAt5tGeJd — Antidentite8 (@AntiDentite8) April 8, 2022Unfortunately Kumble retired otherwise he would have won every single game he played https://t.co/8bzR6NzUBY — AD (@cricadharsh) April 7, 2022And this award is injustice to spinners.. discriminatory award https://t.co/ttqwtf6Zcj — Anurag Saini (@AnuragSaini04) April 7, 2022 View the full article

Alongside Ravindra Jadeja, veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also weaved his magic with the ball as India defeated Sri Lanka in the first Test in Mohali. The Chennai spinner picked up six wickets across two innings as the hosts thrashed the Lankan Lions inside three days, registering a massive innings and 222-run win in the match which was memorable for more than one reason. View this post on Instagram In doing so, Ashwin surpassed the legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev’s tally of 434 wickets to become India’s second most successful bowler in five-day cricket, after Anil Kumble. Ashwin’s record speaks for itself but there has always been a debate whether he can be categorised as India’s all-time great. View this post on Instagram There have been people who often downplay his achievements, arguing that his overseas performances aren’t that great that could give him an automatic entry into the all-time great list. People like Sanjay Manjrekar have gone on record saying that they don’t consider him an all-time great due to his not so impressive performances outside of the Indian subcontinent, especially in the SENA countries. View this post on Instagram India’s new Test skipper Rohit Sharma, has a completely different opinion. For him, Ashwin is already an ‘all-time great’ who has contributed heavily to the team’s success in the last few years, establishing his legendary status. pic.twitter.com/m3LZHJi3ys — Addicric (@addicric) March 6, 2022 Asked to reflect on Ashwin’s massive achievement at the post-match press conference, Rohit said: “It’s a big thing in his cricketing career to achieve that feat you know. When you grow up wanting to play Test cricket, you don’t dream about these things and so to surpass that is a big achievement on his behalf.” “You know, I have been watching Ashwin for a long time now and every time I watch him, he seems to get better and better. Ashwin is one such player who always has confidence in his ability in what he wants to achieve and for the team as well. View this post on Instagram “He is an all-time great in my eyes. He is playing for so many years and performed for the country. So many match-winning performances, so for me he is an all-time great. People might have a different point of view but from where I see, he is an all-time great for me,” he said, lavishing praise on the veteran off-spinner. Despite his consistent performances, Ashwin has failed to get consistent game time in away Test matches. He did well in the World Test Championship final against New Zealand but was still dropped to the bench in all four Test matches that followed against England. View this post on Instagram When asked for his take on the curious case of Ashwin, the 34-year-old captain took a dig at the previous management saying he had no idea why Ashwin was overlooked and was left on the bench in overseas fixtures. There was a lot of hullabaloo in the Indian cricketing community when Ashwin was constantly ignored during the England Test series last year. "To me, he is already an all-time great" #INDvSL — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) March 7, 2022 “Really, can’t tell you anything about his overseas place and why doesn’t he find it and why is he in not in the eleven. Obviously, I have no idea as I wasn’t part of the selection at that point and I can’t tell you what happened and why was he left out and why didn’t he play and that kind of stuff,” Rohit signed off. Like Rohit said, people can say whatever they want but they can’t beat the stats. According to career stats, Ashwin has been India’s greatest off-spinner and nobody can take this tag away from him. With KL Rahul replacing Ishan Kishan in India's second game against the West Indies, the vice-captain was anticipated to start the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma. However, the team management surprised everyone by promoting wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant to the top of the order. Pant took his time at first before breaking a handful of records. His innings was short, as he only managed to score 18 runs. While many praised coach Rahul Dravid and the management for the move, seeing it as a great step, some believe it would hurt Pant, the batsman. View this post on Instagram Sunil Gavaskar, the renowned batsman and former Indian skipper spoke on Team India's reasoning behind the choice during the game's commentary. It was an experiment, and the team is doing it so Pant can take advantage of the field constraints and go hard on the powerplay, according to Gavaskar. According to the Little Master, such moves are a part of the experiments that the Men in Blue will continue to do by the time the 2022 T20 World Cup comes around in October. He further adds that the second ODI may not be the last time we get to see Pant opening the Indian batting lineup and that if in case the southpaw manages to score big at the number one or two spots, it would become his permanent role in the team and the rest of the squad will have to adjust around it. View this post on Instagram However, Gavaskar then questioned Sharma’s decision with a pretty valid concern of his own. He wanted to know who will replace Pant as the finisher for the Men in Blue if he does make his spot as the Indian batting opener permanent. Over the last few years, the keeper-batter has established his role in the team as the enforcer, someone who does a lot of damage to the scoreboard in a very short period of time and at the moment the squad isn’t exactly buzzing with power hitters. View this post on Instagram Yes, Suryakumar Yadav has managed to hold the middle order with a lot of confidence during the last couple of matches but would the kind of consistency with which he has been playing against a weak West Indies team continue when he faces the bigger competitors like Australia and England during the World Cup? Alternatively, would the Men in Blue look at someone completely different from Suryakumar Yadav as the new finisher for the squad? View the full article

Regret is one of the heaviest feelings to carry, in my opinion, after guilt, of course. And while guilt comes after having done what you shouldn’t have, regret is more of a feeling that arises when you don’t do something you should have. Like ‘invest in the pitch of Kamlesh Nanasaheb’, in the words of Namita Thapar. Kamlesh Nanasaheb who got famously known as 'Jugaadu Kamlesh' on the show Shark Tank India, came from a modest background, but with dreams as big as he could dream of. Pitching a solution for farmers’ agricultural woes, Jugaadu Kamlesh was asking for funding for a pesticide spray solution. © Sony Pictures Television Low on formal education and capital, this was his one shot to success and the Lenskart co-founder gave it to him when no one else did. Peyush Bansal chose to invest in his idea, offering Kamlesh a deal for Rs 10 lakhs for 40% equity and 20 lakhs in debt for his business venture. Today, weeks later as the show has come to an end and all the judges reflect upon the investments they have (and haven’t) made, Emcure Pharmaceuticals’s executive director Namita Thapar shares one of her biggest regrets. © Namita Thapar In a recent write-up, Namita Thapar shared just how much she ended up investing during the show. She said, “I saw around 170 pitches and invested ₹10 crore in 25 companies that touched my heart. I invested ₹7 crore during the show and ₹3 crore post the show in deals I had lost out on and in a few existing deals to increase my stake.” Elaborating further in a piece that was published on YourStory, Namita shared, “As future leaders we need to champion not just founders who can scale and make money for us but also those who have tremendous potential, are working on a real problem but don’t have the right mentorship to gain traction in their business. Jugaadu Kamlesh and Pandurang of Agro Tourism were both Maharashtrian farmers out to solve real problems but due to lack of right guidance hadn’t made sales.” अब पछताए होत क्या, जब चिड़िया चुग गयी खेत — 🅷ΐmสnshu Ǥahสrสηส Kulshresthส (@ihimanshu_) February 9, 2022 And that’s when her biggest regret came in. “Leaders like me need to be bold, back such founders and ensure they become a success so that entrepreneurship doesn’t just become the dream of the ones with the right education and resources but even of the common man. This is one of our core responsibilities as business leaders who have been blessed with power and privilege, who people look up to... and not investing in Kamlesh and Pandurang remain my biggest regrets at Shark Tank India.” Great read! I think Kamlesh and Shri Pandurang ji got the exposure they needed. Chhodo kal ki baatein ..Don't regret Namita ji. — Abhi (@abhishekyel) February 8, 2022#NamitaThapar says she invested Rs 10 crore on #SharkTankIndia, reveals she ‘regrets’ not backing Jugaadu Kamleshhttps://t.co/RVlS8Oz4bT — Indian Express Entertainment (@ieEntertainment) February 9, 2022Jugaadu Kamlesh’s pitch was one of the most liked and hailed pitches on the show that won millions of hearts all because of the earnest intentions that he presented it with. And while back then, no one apart from Peyush Bansal stepped up, it is somewhat heartening to know that other sharks like Namita Thapar do look at it as a missed opportunity. View the full article

The odds of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav playing together in the ODI series against West Indies, which begins on February 6 in Ahmedabad, were discussed by Indian skipper Rohit Sharma on Saturday. On the eve of the series opener against Kieron Pollard's side at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Rohit praised the two wrist spinners - Kuldeep and Yuzevendra Chahal - as "excellent performers" and added that playing them together will be on his mind throughout the series. View this post on Instagram According to the skipper, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have both been outstanding performers for India in the past, leaving a lasting impression. They were left out owing to the team's desire for alternative combinations, but Sharma is given the idea of having the two spinners in the same game a fair bit of thought. Kuldeep Yadav has been reinstated in the team for the first time in limited-overs cricket since July 2021, in an attempt to fix India's middle-overs problems. Between 2017 and 2019, the famous KulCha combo caused chaos for India in the middle overs before both dropped out of the discussion for a spot in the Playing XI as the Men in Blue turned to finger spinners. View this post on Instagram Hitman, on the other hand, acknowledged that he wants Kuldeep to settle in quickly because he has been out of the Indian squad for a long time and requires a lot of playing time to regain his rhythm. On Saturday, Chahal also expressed his happiness with the fact that he was in the same team as one of his greatest friends and colleagues in Kuldeep Yadav. He also went on to share a picture with the Chinaman celebrating the momentous occasion. Although, his picture selection skills became the biggest problem about the post as fans the fans forgot to congratulate the duo and started asking questions about what were the two cricketers doing with their hands. View this post on Instagram India’s three-ODI series against the touring West Indies side is scheduled to begin on Sunday at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium and all of the matches will be held behind closed doors in order to protect the players on either side from the potential risks of catching the COVID-19 virus. Women Share Dating Rules They Secretly Follow Which Men Have No Idea About
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
The only rule in the world of dating today is that there is no rule. You go with the flow, swipe left & right and date a bunch of people before you find the one (if that’s what you want). Yeah, sorry to break it to you but that’s how men roll. Women have and follow a definite rulebook when it comes to dating. © Dharma Productions Someone asked women on Reddit a question men would want to know the answer to. They wrote, “What are "strange" or unconventional rules you've set for yourself when it comes to dating?” We are sure it was a woman who put up this question because all the men reading it would have gone like “You guys have dating rules’? © RSVP Movies To make the lives of men easier (that’s basically what we do here) and for them to understand women a bit better, here is the cheat code to woo your date from the horse’s mouth. 1. Setting The Priorities Straight“I expect orgasms everytime we have *** and 50/50 chores when living together. This is my base line, I do except some romance too. Btw I ask for this because I 100% give that on a relationship.” –Whateveridontkare 2. Money Matters“I watch and observe how a man spends his money. I would never date anyone who throws money around acting like jack flash. It’s not about whether he has money, it’s about how he deals with money that is important.” –Little-bit_ © T-Series Films 3. If He Isn’t Going Down, He’s Going Out“Don’t date a man who doesn’t go down on you” –urminecraftgf98 4. Not All Women Friendzone“Is it weird that I’ve never dated someone that I wasn’t already friends with beforehand? It’s not quite a rule, but I’ve never once been romantically interested in someone that I didn’t already know on a deeper level no matter how attractive they seemed on the surface.” –strike_match 5. Translation: I’m Not Into Unambitious Guys“I don't date men who don't have goals.” –Unknown © Eros International 6. Swipe Left On Men Who Don’t Put In Efforts“I immediately delete all initial messages on OkCupid/Tinder/etc. that don't specifically mention something from my profile. This includes deleting all messages that just say "Hi," "Hey," "How's it going," etc. My rationale is that these people are putting the lowest possible amount of effort into online dating, and I don't have any desire to date or have *** with people who don't put effort into those endeavors.” –elestialism 7. And, To Sum Up The Rulebook“Make plans to meet in person as soon as possible, but don't be weird about it Don't text back more than the other person texts you. Only meet for drinks/coffee on a first date Don't date moderates they are republicans Never settle” –justinlongbranch © Red Chillies Entertainment Women reading this would agree and men are now wiser. I am 25-years-old, presumably fit, fine and healthy and often reminded to be in what are called the ‘prime years’ of my life. Considering I am neither obese nor too skinny, I believed that I may fit right into the definition of being fit, but that was until I met Milind Soman, a bonafide name in the fashion, Bollywood and fitness fraternity. Someone who is known to break past stereotypes and redefine ‘normal’, Milind Soman recently spoke exclusively with MensXP where he blew my mind by discarding every single notion I had towards fitness. © Veeba The actor and supermodel recently embarked on a 10-day-long journey by riding a bicycle from Mumbai to Delhi. Mapping through the cities of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana, Milind partnered with Veeba’s Earthmade Organix for this green ride to emphasize the need for cleaner air. And while at it, Milind Soman also busted a few myths we had about staying healthy, especially ones where we assumed that a fit body could only be a byproduct of relentless workout. However, coming from the horse’s mouth himself, Milind revealed, “I don’t really work out so I don’t use those terms, but I am active for only about 15-20 minutes a day. That’s my average for working out every day.” Veeba And for all those of us who presumed that a good body could only come from hours of gyming and dieting, this came as a breath of fresh air and hope. Milind continued to say, “I never go to the gym, I just challenge myself regularly. Be it by embarking on a 10-day challenge like this one, where I cycled from Bombay to Delhi to promote the cause or by running triathlons or anything.” © Veeba He also clarified how he might be seen doing a lot of marathons, but he doesn’t indulge in them all too often either. “I don’t do it all the time. The only catch is that I have maintained that level of fitness where I can dream of doing whatever I want and I am equipped to actually do it. That is the secret to living life. Life is constantly throwing challenges at you, and if you’re not prepared - you suffer. It’s like the lesson you learnt in school- if you study, you pass. It has nothing to do with geography or science or mathematics. If you’ll study, you’ll pass,” said Milind. Calling his 15-20 minutes of workout every single day of his life, a ‘bare minimum’, Milind squashed all those notions we had about fitness by reminding us that the human body can function well and stay healthy simply by being consistent.
