  1. Break ups are bad and seemingly the one advice you always get post your break up, is keeping your distance from your ex-girlfriend. Have you heard your friends always tell you "whatever you do bro, just don't hook up with your ex, move on man"? Well, that advice is valid and legit only because you want to forget the past and move forward and maybe give someone else a chance. But there is a lingering feeling deep inside you, which probably still connects to your ex, and it's kinda inevitable and there is nothing you can do to contain that feeling really. © MensXP There may come a time where you will bump into your ex at a party or a bar, and if you haven't seen each other for long, you'll either ignore each other's respective presence or rekindle long lost conversations. Most likely, it's the latter and sometimes, those conversations could bring about latent feelings and the sexual pleasure you both derived from each other. Yes, sleeping with an ex is as common as the common cold and many of us indulge in it, and feel either ashamed or angry the next day or know for a fact that feelings for them still remain. But what if I told you, sleeping with an ex is not that bad, after all? Yes, you read that right. According to some recent research from Wayne State University, having *** with your ex might not be such a bad idea, in fact, the research argues that it may even be a 'good' idea. © MensXP The study was conducted in two parts and it analysed the daily experiences and activities of 113 individuals who'd recently broken up or were going through a break-up. Two months after the break-up, they were given a questionnaire to fill. The questionnaire asked if they'd tried to have physical contact with their ex and if they were emotionally attached to them and how they felt, every day, after they'd had some form of physical contact with their ex. The second part was somewhat similar, where 372 participants were asked to take a survey, which asked them similar questions about physical contact with their ex's and their level of attachments with them. The result was quite fascinating actually. Rather than expecting that sleeping with an ex is emotionally turbulent and can leave feelings to linger on, hindering your ability to move on, while prolonging the heartbreak, the researchers found that sleeping with an ex really didn't stop the day-today healing process. The participants who pined after their exes were more likely to have *** with them and even after that they didn't feel heartbroken or emotionally stunted, or even upset. In fact, hooking up with their ex, left them feeling more positive, every day. © MensXP "This research suggests that societal handwringing regarding trying to have *** with an ex may not be warranted. The fact that *** with an ex is found to be most eagerly pursued by those having difficulty moving on, suggests that we should perhaps instead more critically evaluate people's motivations behind pursuing *** with an ex." - the lead researcher, Stephanie Spielmann said in an interview with an international publication. But that being established, it's always necessary to know where you stand with your feelings and your emotions. There may have been research conducted to establish that *** is good with the ex but more often than not, it's subjective. If you feel mangled up and distraught after any form of physical contact with them or if you feel that physical intimacy with an ex acts as a deterrent for you to move on successfully, then you have to weigh your decision well. But if you think like the rest of the subjects from the research, your feelings are intact and you feel good about it, then, of course, go for it. But remember, don't have any expectations. if you're sleeping with an ex, in order to win them back, it may lead to more complications later and leave you more heartbroken than before!
  2. Very recently, the German national women's football team produced an ad campaign ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in which they spoke about how after winning one of the most prestigious European Championships, every woman of the squad received a tea set as medals for their glorious achievement. This was exactly three decades ago in 1989. Not a lot of news was made out of this because back then women were supposed to be making some good tea and the tea set would only add to their skills. Now, maybe in order to celebrate 30 years of sexual discrimination and the dominance of the male gender in sports, one of Spain's squash tournament's management team decided to repeat history, but only making it 10 times more interesting. “This is the 21st century, women aren't only meant to be making tea” they might have thought in their giant heads. “Let's reward them with *** toys instead!” Brilliant! Spain's Asturias Squash Championship 2019 saw some of the most competitive women squash players battle against each other on the squash court. They had trained night and day, putting in their blood, sweat and tears in order to achieve greatness in their game one day. For the 37-year-old Elisabet Sado Garriga, the day had finally arrived when she won the squash tournament a couple of days ago. Her reward? A gift bag with a waxing set to make her skin smooth, a foot care device to make those ugly feet pretty again and a branded “Pure Fantasy” vibrator because… needs. May 19, 2019 We have no idea as to why Garriga and the rest of the four place holders of the tournament got so offended that they registered a complaint against the tournament's management team that led to the Royal Spanish Squash Federation cancelling all tournaments for the year and even ordered the Asturian Institute of Women to investigate the matter. It is also believed that three of the helpless, sexist officials from the tournament were also asked to resign. Honestly, we do not even understand what all the fuss is about. After all, the club that hosted the tournament came out in public to say that whatever they did, it was not “done from a sexist standpoint.” If you ask us, rewarding an athlete with *** toys is always a great idea. Regardless of their gender, we are sure, they would be super excited to receive a token of appreciation that screams “you need to get laid!”. If anything, the sports tournament was too kind, thinking about the athletes' *** life like that. Do not see an issue with that...
  3. The last episode of 'Game of Thrones' was the last 'peaceful' episode before the brutal deaths that we were promised this season. Before the long-awaited Battle of Winterfell, we can see everyone strategizing, and mitigating the storm in the form of the Army of The Dead any time now. Characters who won't fight in the field like women and children like Gilly and her son, Little Sam, will be hiding underground in the crypts of Winterfell. © HBO Everyone is so sure that the crypts of Winterfell is the safest place to hide. If you're not fit for the field, no harm will come to you in the crypts. Even Gilly is even seen advising a fellow woman, "when the time comes, you'll be down in the crypts. They're the safest place to be." Jon tries to protect Bran as he tells him he should join the women and children. So does Daenerys, with Tyrion, she tells him she'll need his mind later which is an asset to her. However, are the crypts of Winterfell really safe? I mean, think about how the Night King wields his power. Aside from the magic that he's capable of, (the extent of which is still unknown) he can awaken the dead to fight for him. And what exactly lies in the crypts of Winterfell? ...exactly. Also, think about all the folks who are buried in the crypts: members of the Stark family, including Ned, Lyanna, and Rickon. (Robb's body was desecrated by the Freys and it's unclear where—or if—Catelyn is buried.) The prospect of Stark zombies is nightmarish. © HBO In the trailer, they also show Arya running from someone for the next episode. © HBO It looks like she's in the crypts of Winterfell, and she could possibly be running from the Stark zombies. So, you see how the safe place can quickly turn into a zombie land that no one fathomed?
  4. Yes, the need for protesting the gross and infamous terror attack in Pulwama is the utmost right now. Throughout history, India's 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' ideology has been stretched, moulded and abused on a global stage in the most disturbing manner ever. For years, India's stand on not being the first one to go on the attack in a bilateral rivalry, has been understood as our weakness instead of our political maturity and we are running out of patience really fast now. However, this does not mean that we lose our ability to make rational decisions. While the BCCI officials were taking their time deciding how they'd deal with the rival Pakistani squad during the upcoming World Cup 2019, if they would boycott them during the points-round or campaign for a complete ban on the Pakistani cricket team, another lead on BCCI's unrealistic measure towards the Pakistan Cricket Board came to the fore recently. According to Indian Express, BCCI had plans to isolate Pakistan by putting all the foreign players in a 'Us Or Them' situation, forcing them to choose between playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pakistan Super League (PSL). What needs to be realised is that while the IPL is more of a gold mine for these international players, (some of whom earn double of their annual salary by playing for 6 weeks here), Pakistan's security concerns, on the other hand, has led to their hesitations towards playing in the country. However, South African cricket legend AB de Villiers was one of the most influential stars to have publicly announced his willingness to play there in order to bring in more such stars. A special message from our mentor and player @ABdeVilliers17 “Main Lahore A Raha Hun” ð¤©#DamaDamMast #MainHoonQalandar pic.twitter.com/Ye8j65Jwxl — Lahore Qalandars (@lahoreqalandars) January 14, 2019 BCCI's plan to, therefore, make things difficult for PCB to bring in international cricketers and grow their viewership, seemed highly opportune but insensitive. According to the report, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) officials along with BCCI CEO Rahul Johri gathered to draw a conclusion of this idea. Thankfully, the authority decided against the notion deeming it inappropriate to force the international players to choose between the two cricket leagues. Why? Simply because of the fact that it is the IPL franchises (that are privately owned) and not the BCCI that take up the players during the auction. Putting the players under such predicament would, therefore, lead to disappointed team owners. Basically, the whole facade boiled down to the fact that any action taken in favour of this plan would have been bad for business.
  5. If you compare the 'Attitude Era' during which wrestling gods like the Texas Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin used to bully a hospitalised Vince McMahon with a bedpan or Mick Foley losing his teeth after being chokeslammed by The Undertaker from atop a massive steel cage during a Hell in a Cell match to what the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is today, you would notice a stark difference in the show. It is safer, a lot more suitable for children and in order to increase the number of international fans, it has led to opening up its doors to international superstars like 'The Maharaja' Jinder Mahal and 'The Celtic Warrior' Sheamus. Having said that, there has been a considerable drop in the viewership of the show ever since WWE went PG in 2008. Even with a loaded roster with the likes of Triple H, John Cena and 'The Animal' Batista headlining all the major events, fans seemed to be drifting away from the show simply because of the fact that the storylines weren't interesting or entertaining enough. However, there was one man who probably had the key to turn around the fate of the show even in the PG era. The star being the 'Straight-Edge' CM Punk, who came up with the most engaging storyline of the clean era in his feud with Cena and the rest of the 'phoney' business as he called it during his famous 'pipe-bombs'. However, things didn't workout between WWE and Punk, and as a result, the latter left the organisation on a very bitter note. Alright hosers! You've been asking for him and you get him. Seth talks about his match with Brock Lesnar at #WrestleMania and much more! #Subscribe for Free: https://t.co/HB0u22z7ed pic.twitter.com/8r8eblUDIr — Pod of Awesomeness (@EandCPod) February 8, 2019 In a recent episode of the former wrestlers Edge and Christian's E&C Podcast of Awesomeness, the 2019 Royal Rumble winner Seth Rollins spoke of what a visionary Punk really was and how he wanted to help WWE increase their viewership with the introduction of his version of 'Sierra Hotel India Echo Lima Delta' or SHIELD which did not include the three-time WWE Champion, Roman Reigns. According to Rollins, Punk believed that the roster at the time consisted of young individuals who lacked both the experience and the desire to make things happen. These individuals, Punk believed, didn't try to push their boundaries and were just happy to have made to the main roster. As a result, WWE as a product and as a brand suffered a lot of damage and lost massive viewership worldwide. Punk, who had to literally fight his way to the top saw his reflection in some of the upcoming stars in the NXT roster, stars like Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, who were dedicated, innovative and motivated to do better. However, this 'list' of Punk's didn't include the Samoan performer, Roman Reigns. Believe. In. THE SHIELD. #RAW pic.twitter.com/SHLfdBhsSz — WWE (@WWE) August 21, 2018 “So he (CM Punk) wanted to get us in there, us being myself, and Ambrose, and I think, maybe, Kassius Ohno/Chris Hero, but I'm not sure. But the company loved Roman from the get-go, and for all the right reasons,” Rollins said at Edge and Christian's podcast. Punk was a great performer, both as a wrestler and with the mic. When he spoke, people listened. There's no doubt that this version of the 'Hounds of Justice' went on to become a great hit, giving the brand three of the greatest stars of this decade but the fact that we may never be able to see Punk's version of the trio, stings just a little.

  7. Intermittent Fasting is the crazy hype train that everyone in the fitness industry wants to jump aboard. People believe it to have a few magical effects. These magical effects are mainly associated with fat loss. People assume that if you do not eat for a few hours in a day, your body becomes a fat burning 'furnace' and make you leaner than a shredded bodybuilder in a couple of weeks. © Thinkstock Well, the actual thing that Intermittent Fasting helps with is adherence to a caloric deficit. Some people just find it easier to eat less food if they only eat a couple of meals in a day. It is all about that single aspect. I have written a piece on Intermittent Fasting in the past as well. The other side of the story is that people have started doing Intermittent Fasting for muscle gain. They think that: 1. Fasting will increase their growth hormone and make them bigger. 2. They will not put on body fat as they are fasting. Guess what? You are TERRIBLY wrong. Let's understand what you really need to do to build muscle: 1. Resistance training 2. Progressive overload 3. A calorie surplus with adequate protein 4. Rest and recovery Now let's understand how Intermittent Fasting can wreck all of this: 1. Resistance Training A lot of people have this misconception that if you do not eat and work out, it will elevate anabolic hormones and help them build muscle and lose fat at the same time. Well, these anabolic hormonal adaptations that happen when training are similar to those you'd have if you trained after a meal. Another thing to know is that even if these hormones are elevated, they are going to be in physiological ranges. You will not become jacked like a bodybuilder on steroids. If fasting made you muscular like an enhanced bodybuilder, why would people even buy steroids, especially considering the side effects of it? 2. Progressive Overload © Tnation You may get a few training sessions easily in a fasted state, yes. Will you be able to progress long-term with it? I don't think so. You may go to the gym and slog your ass like a laborer. You won't progress going forward as you are hungry and depleted of energy. Having a meal before your workout, especially carbs, will provide you fuel to lift more and longer. 3. A Calorie Surplus With Adequate Protein To gain weight and in turn muscle, you need to eat more calories in a day than you burn off. Yeah, the area people go wrong is they stuff their face with as much food as they like and get fat. That is a fallacy of their plan, not the idea of eating more calories. If you fast, it will be simply difficult for you to consume enough calories in a day. Apart from that, there are studies that show you need to eat protein at equal intervals to keep elevated muscle protein synthesis through the day. There is even a study that shows that even eating the same amount of protein, the group that broke it down in more frequent intervals (4-5 meals) gained more muscle compared to those who ate it in lesser meals (1-2 meals). 4. Rest And Recovery This mainly comes down to your sleep and stress levels. An additional aspect of it is the food intake. There is a reason that on a cut or a fat loss, your recovery is poor. That is because you are not eating enough calories for the same. If you fast and it reduces your calorie intake, you will not recover and might even start losing progress or dropping strength in the gym. 9. Imagine you are scrolling through your Facebook feed, the autoplay is turned on and you are greeted by a wild cacophony of sounds that instantly make you cringe and you wish you could get a detox done, right then and there. But alas, that is not to be. There is no coming back from the trauma of living through Tahir Shah's 'Eye To Eye' even if it was merely for a few seconds. While most decent human beings would try to recuperate from the shock and let it go, I decided to turn my pain into a means of mass torture to put things in sync with the 'Morose Monday' #feels. In the last few years, numerous 'viral' songs hit our screens and made us pull at our hair in the sheer hope that anything besides this, would be a better source of agony. So I decided to pick the 7 most terrible (read dardnaak) viral songs in the recent years that made our ears bleed. 1. Dhinchak Pooja 'Selfie Maine Le Li Aaj' & 'Dilon Ka Shooter Hai Mera Scooter' With 36,118,838 and 12,160,485 views respectively, who would guess these are a sham in the name of songs? When Dhinchak Pooja's 'Selfie Maine Le Li Aaj' came out, it was so widely circulated across social media platforms that you couldn't have escaped it even if you tried. The pain was for real and lasted for weeks to come even after you went ahead on a social media detox. 2. Pikotaro - 'PPAP' (Pen Pineapple Apple Pen) While the obscure lyrics of this one apparently made the song “catchy” for some and even evoked laughter at first, I wouldn't say I could tolerate it for a second time, even as it was picking up the pace in India. My Instagram and Facebook feed was literally blowing up with this guy's face and his strange song talking about a non-existent fruity pen that nobody really gave a shit about. Also, what was with that outfit?! 3. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan - 'Love Charger' God must have his ways of bringing people to justice because after putting people through this torture, it is only a miracle the victims have survived to tell their stories. I wonder who wrote such horrid lyrics and then added such ear-puncturing music to produce such a ghastly composition that will trouble generations to come, who have access to this god-awful piece. 4. Om Prakash - 'Bol Na Aunty Aau Kya' It is with a heavy heart that I am including this song to the story, because neither the song nor the lyrics possess anything of value to go viral. The lyrics are sexist, demeaning and introduce rape as the normal outcome of wearing short clothes or hanging out with friends. The very fact that people found such a derogatory song entertaining and funny is appalling, to say the least. 5. Vennu Mallesh - 'It's My Life Whatever I Wanna Do' Another masterpiece that shattered the little semblance of tolerance we had for upcoming talents. Who decides to fund such songs and even rent out an entire studio for such a joke of a music video? And to top it all, this went viral because, of course, we had never heard anything of the sort before. 6. Rinku Bhabhi - 'Mere Husband Mujhe Pyaar Nahi Karte' I wouldn't lie but I had a fit of laughter the first time I heard this song. I know I said the first time because I am guilty of having heard it two more times when my sister and best friend decided to make me relive the moments of “ecstasy” during two different occasions. I really cannot say I can make much sense out of this. 7. Taher Shah - 'Eye To Eye' & 'Angel' I really have no words for these two jewels right here, but if you have heard these songs, know that your life wasn't the same after. Also, you gotta watch both the videos to share my pain. Please. Tell us, which of these make it to your most painful viral videos list?
  10. When was the last time you came out of a movie hall appreciating an actor who didn't play the lead role? We have all heard people say that so and so is a Salman Khan or a Shah Rukh Khan movie. In fact, every time a new movie is released or a director announces a new project, the first thing that comes to our mind is to look at the cast. Is Ranveer Singh or Hrithik Roshan a part of it? VB Pictures But, have you ever heard anyway ask whether actors like Vijay Raaz or Deepak Dobriyal are a part of the movie or not? In fact, chances are, you might not even know these names, despite the fact that we grew up watching them and loving their performances. So let me take this opportunity to introduce some names that you might have never heard of before, but have always been a part of our favourite movies. 1. Pankaj Tripathi Twitter Pankaj Tripathi, one of the most versatile actors, has been a part of a lot of big ticket movies but not many people know about him. Be it 'Newton', 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' or 'Gangs Of Wasseypur', Tripathi with his phenomenal acting did justice to each character he took on. 2. Deepak Dobriyal Maddock Films 'Omkara' actor Deepak Dobriyal is one of the finest and the most underrated actors in Bollywood. Honestly, had the goofy Pappi Ji not helped his friend R. Madhavan in his love story with Kangana Ranaut, we would have never got 'Tanu Weds Manu'. In 'Hindi Medium' while we all loved Irrfan Khan, the fact that Deepak gave a powerful performance and made his presence felt throughout the movie cannot be ignored. 3. Vijay Raaz Sridevi Productions Abhishek Bachchan's 'Run' wasn't really a commercial success at the box office and most of us might not even remember a movie of this name being made. But those who remember the movie, I am sure they only know it for Vijay Raaz and his renowned 'kauwa biryani'. It also goes without saying that he was one of the best things about 'Delhi Belly', 'Dedh Ishqiya' and 'Welcome', although he was a supporting actor. 4. Manav Kaul T-Series All those who have seen Vidya Balan's latest movie 'Tumhari Sulu', the name Manav Kaul might still be fresh in your memories. Actor and Director Manav Kaul even won the Best Supporting Actor Award for the same. He is now gearing up for another big ticket release 'Ghoul', Netflix's first Indian supernatural series. 5. Anand Tiwari Yash Raj Films Anand Tiwari, who has movies like 'Go Goa Gone', 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!', 'Udaan', 'Aisha' and 'Kites' in his kitty, might sound like a new name in the industry, but he's actually one of the most talented actors. He also directed Vicky Kaushal's popular movie on Netflix, 'Love Per Square Foot'. 6. Pavan Malhotra Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Out of all these names, Pavan Malhotra is probably the most popular one in this list. In fact, we've seen him in movies like 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', 'Jab We Met', 'Wazir', 'Rustom' and 'Children of War'; but how many of us remember this brilliant actor by his name? 7. Brijendra Kala Brijendra Kala is another talent who deserves more recognition that what he's getting now. While most of us, including me, remember him through his performances in 'Jab We Met', 'PK' and 'Paan Singh Tomar'; it's shocking that barely anyone knows his name. 8. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub Red Chillies Entertainment He was Shah Rukh Khan's partner-in-crime in 'Raees', Dhanush's best friend in 'Raanjhanaa', gave a bike ride to Kangana and got acquainted with her in 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns'. He even played the antagonist Manu Sharma in 'No One Killed Jessica'. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub is a face we've seen in a lot of movies, but sadly not many people know him by name. 9. Meher Vij Aamir Khan Productions With some notable performances in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Secret Superstar', television actress Meher Vij has carved a niche for herself in Bollywood. Time and again she has surprised us with her choice of movies and the characters she portrays on-screen. At 31, playing a mother to a teenager is not easy, yet she did a fantastic job with her persuasive performance. 10. Tillotoma Shome MacGuffin Pictures We've all seen the latest Tata Namak ad starring Konkana Sen Sharma. We even laugh at the concept and feel bad for the woman who either gets shot up in the sky or gets brutally dropped underground. That woman is Tillotoma Shome, who has been a part of movies like 'Children of War', 'A Death In The Gunj', 'Qissa', 'Hindi Medium' and 'Tasher Desh' to name a few. It's needless to say that she deserves more recognition that what she's getting now.
  11. Starting a new business is exciting, but it is also extremely crucial for you to do your research thoroughly before embarking on such a journey. It is sure to be a tough road and here is how you can prepare yourself mentally for the challenges that are bound to come your way. You need to know your customers, your product/service, and also do your market research before you make the final decision. So, here is a list of questions that you need to ask yourself, before going ahead with your business plans: 1. Who Are Your Customers? ©Thinkstock For example, if you are starting a Smartwatch startup, then you should define what age segment it will address to. Ideally, you would be catering to a younger demographic, so you simply cannot assume that people across all age groups would be interested. You need to be specific about your customers. If you are starting a media company, then specify whether it would cater specifically to men, women or would it be a conventional media company, or even a news portal. Similarly, if you are developing a CRM(customer relationship management) app, then ask yourself whether you would be targeting big established chains or the main street dealers. For a business to be successful, you should know all about its potential customers, because, in the end, it is them who you are catering to 2. What Exactly Does Your Customer Need? This is one of the most important questions you need to answer before embarking on the journey of starting a business. In most cases, this question is what gives you an idea about your startup. You need to know what exactly is your customer's problem that your service or product would solve. You need to identify if it is a need or a want. For instance, let's take an example of Elon Musk's startup journey. He started an online payment company X.com, which later became Paypal and made the process of transacting money hassle-free. He now heads The Boring Company, which is focusing on making travel easier for the public. He identified a problem and started creating solutions. 3. Are Your Customers Already Addressing That Need? If Yes, Then How So? ©agilecrm It is basic common sense to ask yourself this question in order to provide your customers with a better solution. You cannot simply assume that your customers are not addressing this need today. They might be doing it, even though with a less efficient method. Before we had subscription services like Netflix, people used to, and a majority of people still have a cable connection or a dish service. So, assume that a solution is already there and people are using it. You simply need to know if you can make it better. 4. What Is Your Product/Service? This one is a bit tricky as it needs simplification. As Albert Einstein said, “If you can't explain it to a six-year-old, you don't understand it yourself.” Well, you might not need to explain your plan to a six-year-old in this case, but certainly to adults who have no idea of your domain. Many a time, people have no idea of what it is that you are providing. Is it a service, a product or a combination of both? Run your product description by people you know and get their feedback. How will people buy your product if they do not know that they need it? 5. How Will Your Customers Benefit From This Product/Service? ©Thinkstock This is a crucial question that an entrepreneur or a business person often comes across. There are chances that you get swept away by the sheer brilliance of your product idea, that you don't stop to think if people need it or not. If your customers won't benefit from it, then maybe you need to rethink your business plan. Asking yourself tough questions like this will help you build a stronger business plan with more chances of success
  12. Since you're here, I'm going to take it for granted that you've seen Avengers: Infinity War and not worry about giving out spoilers. If you still haven't seen it, this is your last warning. Major spoilers ahead. What's the first thing you felt when the movie finished? Confusion, right? What just happened, man? Finally, Marvel gave us something to do while waiting for the post-credit scene. A thousand questions and no answers. Well, we're going to try and fix that. First, the deaths. Heimdall, Loki, Gamora and Vision are the ones who died before Thanos had all 6 Infinity Stones. After snapping his fingers, the ones who disintegrated on-screen are The Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Star-Lord, Drax, Groot, Mantis, Dr. Strange, Spider-Man, and if you stuck around for the post-credits scene (Who didn't!?!) Maria Hill and Nick Fury. Why have I listed the deaths separately? Well, because it's most likely Marvel is going to treat them separately. This is speculation, though. So, what happened? Well, the moment Thanos got all six Infinity Stones Thor attacked him with the Stormbreaker and then stabbed him in the chest. That's when Thanos said, “you should have gone for the head.” A few seconds later, he snapped his fingers and teleported away. That's when people started disintegrating left, right and center. Exactly half the universe to be precise. That's what his master plan was all along. To kill off half the universe so that the other half would prosper. Kind of anticlimactic isn't it? There's no war, no resistance, no anticipation, no nothing. Just snap and gone. One of the biggest problems some people are having with this ending is that there's no ex-machina moment. There's no superhero saves the day moment. There's no happy ending. Yeah, it may not be happy, but it's apt. Now, that you know what just happened, let's address another big problem that Marvel just created for itself. How does Marvel fix all this in Avengers 4? They only have two options from the looks of it. First, they will go the way of the comics and everyone comes back to life. The problem here is that if they do that then 'Avengers: Infinity War' becomes one giant waste of time. It will be like everything that happened in this movie is inconsequential. What's the point of the movie then except being a giant cash grab? This is why there is a need for an option two. Let's look at some real world problems now. Hollywood is not like the minds of a comic book writer. They still have the freedom to do whatever they want with the characters, but the actors playing them? Not that simple. Chris Evans looks like he's happy leaving Captain America behind and there's no news on whether Robert Downey Jr. or Chris Hemsworth have new contracts. On the flip side, we already know that there's news of a Spider-Man 2, Guardians Of The Galaxy 3, Black Panther 2 and Dr. Strange 2 floating around irrespective of how much Marvel tries to keep things under wraps till Avengers 4. So, while they can ask us to expect the unexpected, there are a few things we kind of already know. As for option 2, it will need to be something we've never seen before. We know that Captain Marvel is going to get thrown into the mix. Even Adam Warlock might have a role to play. The characters getting solo movies after Avengers 4 will have to be brought back and as for the rest, they could either be replaced or given a hero's send-off. It will be painful to see an MCU without Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. either way. Will Avengers 4 prove that Infinity War was nothing but filler before we get the main movie or will it tie every loose end up neatly? We'll just have to wait and see.

  15. Inna Vladimirskaya is a brave woman. The 32-year-old Ukranian goes skinny dipping in freezing temperatures in one of the coldest rivers in Europe. 16. To fall in love is one of life's greatest pleasures. Few things come as close as the feeling of being in love with someone; knowing that there is that one person who loves you for who you are and believes in you, even when you forget to. Before you know it, the nights of uninterrupted late texting have soon turned into countless dates and then it's just impossible to be apart. Not only are you constantly thinking of them but are also devising ways to be with them. Because, why really would you want to be alone, when you can be with someone who sucks the cynicism out of you? But for all its unbridled joys, falling in love is also one of the most mind-numbingly crushing things that can happen to you. Being in love means giving someone the power to know you and hurt you, but trusting them enough to not break your heart. And, while, most of us have had our fair share of heartbreaks, if we're lucky, we ultimately end up meeting the person who makes the dangerous freefall of love worth it. But, sometimes, more often not, we end up being the worst enemies of our love lives by embracing a habit so addictive, that it's tough to let go of: falling in love with the idea of someone. © Unsplash It happens just like love. The idea of someone comes into your life unexpectedly and ends up making a permanent residence in your head and heart. It'll start off small; by conjuring up the best version of the person you want to spend your life with on a lazy afternoon. First you'll think of how tall he'll be, how his broad shoulders will always be there when you need a confidante and how the relationship will shape up beautifully because of these virtues. Soon enough, more ideas will start taking shape and before you know it, you'll have a ready reckoner for all the qualities you ultimately want in that someone. Sometimes, in our loneliness, we clutch on to these ideas so hard that it blinds our reasoning abilities. By letting it dominate and be an active participant in our love life, we commit an erroneous sin to ourselves and to our partners. Let's face it, no matter how perfect our partners are, they will never be able to match up to the ideas and expectations we have of them in our heads. But, the question is, do they need to? Do they really have to be the mirror image of what our “dream soulmate” looks like? Why can't they just be a nice, kind soul who teaches us all the good things in life? Is that not enough? Why just we get angry or upset whenever they fail to live up to the idea we've created of them in our heads? © Unsplash For one, it's gloriously unfair; both to us, for making ourselves miserable for no reason and to our partners, for being punished with our gnawing resentment for no fault of theirs. Think about all the time you've gotten angry just because they acted in a way that wasn't wrong, but wasn't just as per the expectations your head tells you to anticipate. Imagine how hard it must have been on them, not knowing what they're doing wrong, and clueless about how to be better. The other thing we usually don't realise in our perfection induced haze is that real life is nothing like the movies. Granted, in the movies, a Simran will always end up with her Raj who will fight with everyone to be here, extend his hands just the way she wants and enough to make her want to come running and fall into his arms. He will also be the literal extension of the man she imagined in our head, and always keep her happy. They will hardly fight and will live their happily ever after, giving the whole world #couplegoals and a fresh dose of anxiety. But you know what? This sort of flawless companionship is a waste in the real life, when you're brave enough to open your soul to a real, living, breathing person. Expecting our partners to be 100% perfect is not just Yash Raj appreciation level ridiculous, but also incredibly cowardly. The true challenge of being with someone is accepting them just the way they are- (Thanks Bruno Mars for the tip) the good, bad and ugly. Falling in love with someone includes falling in love with their flaws and honing the parts of themselves they don't like much or aren't proud of. © Thinkstock/Getty Images Wanting them to be the exact replica of the person we imagine them to be in our heads, is like wanting a person made up with all the good qualities in the world. It means denying the fact that we're human and we're made up of as many flaws as lovable qualities. Wanting the fictional person you have conjured up in your head then, means slowly destroying a real relationship that could give you a future with boundless possibilities. There is nothing dangerous and saddening than that. So the next time your partner ends up revealing a major flaw in front of you, embrace it, instead of wishing they'd turn into the person you fell in love with in your head. After all, what is love without some compromising? Moreover, aren't they also choosing the imperfect you over their version of you?
  17. Nobel Prize laureate and social activist Malala Yousafzai will be speaking shortly at the World Economic Forum in a session titled 'An Insight, An Idea with Malala Yousafzai' which will focus on how education and empowerment can help to realize our human and economic potential towards a shared future. The Nobel Peace Prize winner will talk about her journey of standing up for education as a basic right for every girl. The WEF is currently being held in Davos with celebrities, politicians, journalists, businessmen among others attending it. The Pakistani education activist came to prominence when a Taliban gunman shot her in the head in 2012 as she was leaving school in Pakistan's Swat Valley, north-west of the country's capital Islamabad. She was targeted for her campaign against efforts by the Taliban to deny women education. At 19, Yousafzai is the youngest Messenger of Peace, the highest honour given by the United Nations for an initial period of two years. She was also the youngest person to win the Nobel peace prize in 2014 when she was 17.
  18. If you have watched 'The Social Network' that traced the origins and the back story of everyone's favourite Facebook, then you'd recognise the twins who sued Zuckerberg for stealing their idea of a social media platform. Rings a bell? They are making headlines again and this time it has got nothing to do with Zuckerberg actually. The Winklevoss twins have been declared the world's first bitcoin billionaires. © Twitter The bitcoin bubble and the world of the cryptocurrency is full of dark secrets, but it is no secret that people are minting money from this investment. The twins invested their settlement money and invested around $11m (£8m) bet on the cryptocurrency four years ago. Their combined worth is now more than a whopping $1bn! Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss attended Harvard together and claimed that Zuckerberg stole their idea of 'Harvard Connect' which went up to becoming Facebook. The twins have even represented the US in rowing in the Beijing Olympics. © Twitter Their billionaire status is being debated on the internet as many believe that they already exist. I'm positive that there are several billionaire #bitcoin holders but The Telegraph reports Winklevoss twins have become first bitcoin billionaires. pic.twitter.com/J92cICJLd3 — Joseph Young (@iamjosephyoung) December 3, 2017 However, they are surely the first 'known' bitcoin billionaires in the public eye. With their current growth, they are estimated to get richer that Zuckerberg! But that is a risky affair though.
  19. Swipe right, then swipe left, swipe right and then perhaps left again at every (un)attractive man who claims to be a 'sapiosexual' or a self proclaimed 'gym/fitness freak'. This activity was becoming too recreational for me after a heavy day of work, post a bad break up. It had been a while since the great 'paradigm shift' in my life and I wasn't getting any younger (or so I thought) and I took to online dating like how Piranhas take to flesh (for the lack of a better analogy). Days tuned to nights but the swipes just remained in the realms of virtuality, like that was their rightful place. © Thinkstock/Getty Images I am an old school romantic and I believe the current dating trend is ruining our chances of finding 'everlasting love'. There is a sudden urgency to get someplace in life and move on to associations with one swipe and forget everything else love stood for in that mere moment. It was all alien to me but as I mentioned before I took to a particular dating app quite relentlessly where the success rate for the app was determined by how attractive people looked in their pictures. I also realised people who were a bit too callous in their usage of colloquial English had super chances of 'hooking up'. So words like romance, everlasting or even love for that matter, didn't fathom in their virtual dictionary. It all boiled down to a fast-paced association and I began to see why our generation lacks the semblance of unconditional love and romance altogether. © Thinkstock/Getty Images I am a product of some tough everlasting love. My parents met in another city where dating was seen as a forlorn endeavour and matrimonial advances were at its peak. There was literally no 'let's go grab a few drinks' kinda scenario. If you like the girl, you take her home and make babies with her. A bit rebellious in her belief, my mother was a staunch and independent romantic at heart and certainly wanted her part of the bargain to be played right. But before she could enter this vicious gambit, my father took one look at her and fell head over heels in love. There was no looking back from there. They long distanced their way through the relationship, by making STD calls to each other every week and within three months, they were happily married. © Thinkstock/Getty Images The struggle was still real when they got married. My dad took upon an offshore job and was away most times while my mother spent her time writing letters to him about her life back home. The letters became a real source of inspiration for me and I grew up trying to preserve the sanctity of 'everlasting love'. Today, 35 years later after my parents first met, I am still trying to gather a sense of romance that has now ceased to exist. The hope to meet men organically is slowly diminishing and apps are still showing their keen existence on my phone. I sometimes feel jaded knowing that love has become too cavalier for our generation and everything is based out of an option, while dismissing and dispensing the one at hand, in a matter of a minute or a snap judgement. We don't seek love anymore, we seek an alternative to something we give up on; to satisfy the empty and hollow egos we feed through these dating apps. © Thinkstock/Getty Images Dating apps are now dark and dingy spaces where we venture to seek quick validations about the illusion we create for the world outside of our sphere. This may fill the spontaneous void we create within ourselves but in the long haul, we're always going to be lurking behind thick ghastly shadows of unfulfilling associations. Meanwhile, these apps serve as good fodder for a boring dull weekend and half baked indulgence and are here to stay for sure. But I hope and pray there will be a time where we will let go of these apps from our phones one day and maybe, just maybe fall in love organically and stay there forever, just like how the generation before us did.
  20. Well, it's a known fact that the fan following of ‘Game of Thrones' spreads across all seven continents. People from different countries and languages are ardent followers of the HBO hit show. And we don't need to give you thousands of reasons as to why show such a huge hit. It's bloody amazing! We can definitely say that it is one of the most watched shows in the world and every news or update about it goes viral within no time. (c) HBO When we learned that GOT had an Indian connection, we couldn't contain our happiness. From costumes to VFX, there were a lot of things where our people were involved in making of the show which is pretty epic if you think about it. But we bet none of knew that the show also had a Bollywood connection. Don't be surprised, but did you know Australian actor Conan Stevens, who was seen playing the character of Gregor ‘The Mountain' Clegane shares a Bollywood bond with us? The man has done three Bollywood films and shared screen space with Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan. What's astonishing is all this took place while we had no clue about it. Stevens has played Asura in ‘Drona', Joey in ‘Chandini Chowk to China' and also the fighter Luca in ‘Brother'. Recently in an Interview with Hindustan Times, he shared his experience working in Hindi films. He talked how he is a huge fan of Hindi films even before he started working in them. (c) Twitter When asked about his favourite films, he mentioned Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Black' and said, “I had seen Amitabh in movies before but never really recognised him. Black was the first modern movie I saw him in, and wow! I know it did not do too well in cinemas but what a great movie. Very well received by the critics and rightly so. I think this movie raised international expectations of Hindi films from a mad rush to marry with song and dance erupting out of nowhere to that India can produce very serious dramatic films." (c) Twitter He also mentioned how he enjoyed watching ‘D-Day', ‘Bhootnath', ‘Ghajini', ‘Ra.One' and ‘Om Shanti Om'. He also believes that Indian actors are very hard working and give everything it takes to play a role. He shared, “The stars of Indian cinema seem to take the job on as more than a job, it seems to me that they try to live as large as the roles they play. They sing and dance, do their own stunt work, they really take it upon themselves to work as hard as they possibly can at being the role model they pretend to be onscreen. And all whom I have met are absolute gentlemen in the traditional English sense. It really has been a pleasure to work with everyone I have so far met, and I must admit I have learned and do try to emulate them in this way.” (c) Youtube When asked about the difference between Bollywood and Hollywood he gave a mind-blowing answer, “In India, reality is too close so when we go to the movies we want to escape reality, in the West they are so removed from reality that that is what they want to see in movies.” Well, true that, Conan. We hope to see you in more Hindi films soon!!
  21. The women who wear headscarves now have emojis of their own, thanks to a 16-year-old who proposed the idea to Unicode Consortium, a non-profit corporation that reviews and develops new emojis. ?I?m really happy with what it looks like,? 16-year-old Rayouf Alhumedhi, who lives in Vienna, told CNN. "I saw so many ideas, different colors and styles but I didn't know what it would finally look like. I'm just so excited because it's finally came out after all the work, all the writing." Although the idea was proposed last year, Apple has only recently accepted it. The digital image was unveiled Monday on World Emoji Day as one from a collection of new emoji characters to be available on Apple devices later this year. Rayouf saw the new emoji for the first time Monday night when a friend sent her a message linking to a BuzzFeed article. "I got the news just like everybody else!" she said. When the idea popped up She first had the idea when she and her friends were creating a group chat on WhatsApp and Rayouf had to emoji to represent her. "The fact that there wasn't an emoji to represent me and the millions of other hijabi women across the world was baffling to me," she said. "I really had no initial idea in my mind of what it was supposed to look like, I just wanted it to be available in different skin tones ? millions of women from different races do wear it." As the idea popped in her mind, she drafted a proposal on her laptop and sent it to Unicode Consortium. And Rayouf did not have to wait for long. She quickly gathered support. A member of the Unicode emoji subcommittee, Jennifer 8. Lee, put Rayouf in touch with Aphee Messer, who worked with the 16-year-old to design the emoji. Although she got immense support for the idea, some people described the emoji as unnecessary and ?part of patriarchal constructs that oppress women?. And reaction on social media since Monday's announcement has been equally mixed. "The hijab is a symbol of oppression," wrote Joeymp on Twitter, replying to a tweet by Apple Chief Executive Officer Timothy Cook. "By including it as an emoji you are showing your support for the oppression of women." Another person tweeted about faith in humanity being restored because of such emojis being introduced. Catering to different communities The Unicode Consortium has dramatically increased the number of official emoji in recent years. It has approved 2,666 emoji as of June, up from 722 just two years ago. It has also made a greater effort to include diverse skin tones, flags and occupations. Rayouf is aware that the emoji is contentious. "It will cause controversy," she said Tuesday. "Some people will try and pervert it, use the emoji in a hurtful way to perpetuate stereotypes. "But overall, I think the Muslim community will benefit from it. Even if only in terms of representation. It's only an emoji. It's not a game changer. But it will make people happy. I hope so." The 16-year-old hopes the image of women wearing headscarves will promote tolerance too. ?It will establish the notion that we are normal people carrying out daily routines just like you," she said last year.
  22. Before Nicholas Sparks and John Greene, there was Erich Segal. He was and to this day, remains the original creator of the quintessential love story. Segal is credited with giving every reader in the world, a love story; even if it was just in the pages of a book that still stands the test of time when it comes to classic romances. © Hodder & Stoughton It was one of the first grown-up books I read; a gift from my mother. And it doesn’t matter if you were a guy or a girl. Erich Segal’s ‘Love Story’ was perfect, any which way. Oliver Barrett won every reader’s heart by being the typical rich boy with a point to prove, beyond the wealth inherited from his family. Jennifer Cavilleri was the quintessential high school senior who knew it all and didn’t hesitate to show it. The characters were relatable, real and likeable. From the very first page of the book, you were hooked. The opening lines of the book were “What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl who died? That she was beautiful. And Brilliant. That she loved Mozart and Bach. And the Beatles. And me.” © Yale Alumni Magazine And after that, you knew there was no turning back. You wanted to know more—about the girl, the narrator and why he talks in the past tense. Segal had a way with words; that goes without saying. When you read some of his other works, like ‘Doctors’, ‘The Class and Acts Of Faith’, you can tell that it’s his narrative, his style, his soul in those words. At the heart of every story is love. And that is just the beginning of it all. Erich Segal did what most modern romance novelists don’t manage to do even today; never mind how hard they try, or how many bestsellers they churn out. There are some stories that get etched in your heart, that stand still through time and remain evergreen. Erich Segal’s ‘Love Story’ is definitely one of those. There’s a reason why this 1970s novel became a cult modern-day classic that everyone had to read. There’s a reason why you can keep going back to this book and still find that every word, every feeling and every situation in the book still feels 100 per cent real; just like the first time. © Paramount Pictures And that, right there is why it’s timeless. All the other books, ‘The Notebook’, ‘A Walk To Remember’, ‘The Fault In Our Stars’; all the other authors, Nicholas Sparks, John Greene—they came much later. Yes, they all resemble the basic story line—unrequited love, the death of one of the two lead characters; all very heart-warming and melancholic at the same time. But, they’re not a ‘Love Story’. They’re not Erich Segal. They’re not innocent and bold; real and magical at the same time. Maybe there was something about the time that it was written in. Maybe it was about the timing of the book. The original and first edition of the book was published on February 14th 1970. It was perfect. The 1970s was a time of turmoil all over the world, with the rise of a new order of politics; women, African-Americans and the gay communities were still struggling to have their voices heard. The aristocracy was still at the top and intellect was still a thing of the men. The England Cricket World Cup was one of the most highlighted events of the decade. In America there were antiwar protests, specifically from the working and middle classes. Women’s rights and the fight thereof were taking shape. Amongst all this, authors like Jonathan Livingston, Roald Dahl, Agatha Christie and Ernest Hemingway published their books. But, there was something about Erich Segal’s book being released on what came to be known as the ‘day of love’ across the world. It had a charm to it. The right people were talking about it; college students and high school kids were reading it—boys and girls, included. A movie was being made based on the book and Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal were to star in the film as Jennifer and Oliver. © Paramount Pictures The film did justice to the book. But, today, we hark back to the book, like anyone would. You see, every good book has recall value. You can pick it up for the millionth time and feel as good as new while reading it. That was Erich Segal’s ‘Love Story’. The essence of the book was that it taught us about love in a day and age when that emotion was desperately needed in the world. It taught us how to escape from grim political realities and believe in something so simple, pure and innocent; it remained untarnished by the realities of the times. It made readers believe in love, in finding a Jenny and an Oliver. In finding a middle ground where two people could love and be loved without being torn apart. Readers learned that love was not just about feelings and emotions related to individuals; but, that it was so much more—that love was about being the strength and the inspiration to overcome troubles together and become better human beings. Erich Segal’s ‘Love Story’ taught us that essentially, at the heart of it all, love means never having to say you’re sorry. And every relationship that we nurtured ever since became measured by the value of that one sentence. Today, as a reader, when I look back to the moment when I read those words, for the first time ever, it strikes me in the most revelatory way possible. Back then, it seemed a bit odd; why wouldn’t we say sorry to the people we loved? Wouldn’t we be apologetic for having caused them hurt? And then, some 12 years down the line, it struck me that, in love, hurt is not really hurt. And so, there is no reason for an apology. Because love is understanding, even when there is a lack of it. And in that understanding, we accept and acknowledge all that is said and not said between two people. When you love someone, the way that Jenny and Oliver did, in ‘Love Story’, you don’t do anything to hurt them. None of your actions are meant to hurt either person. When you love someone you don’t have to say sorry. There is no room for an apology in love. Because love just is. © Paramount Pictures And somehow, when you read Erich Segal, you learn about love—how you fall in love, how you love and how you stay in love, long after it’s over. That’s what he showed me in ‘Love Story’. That love as an emotion, all by itself is, undoubtedly monumental. But, when expressed and reciprocated between two people, it can be ageless. And yes, maybe that’s just the hopeless romantic nerd in me talking. But, who isn’t hopeless in love, anyway?
  23. Despite Bollywood actor Salman Khan being all too busy these days with the promotion of his upcoming film ?Tubelight?, he still has some time to share his thoughts on the subject of war. The film depicts the ordeal of someone who lost a loved one to war. Salman Khan recently during the promotion of his film expressed his opinion on warmongering. Salman said those who ask for war should go fight it themselves. ?Take this gun and go to war. (They will realise it) and it will get over in a day. They will tremble and shake and they will eventually take the route of dialogues and discussions,? said the famous actor, according to a Hindustan Times report. Salman?s brother Sohail Khan is the co-actor in the film. He was also of the opinion that war hurts people and loved ones are taken away. Salman and Sohail portray two brothers in the film who get separated due to war during the 1962 Indo-China war, as the brother in the Indian army gets captured by the Chinese army. The film is said to release on June 23, 2017.

  25. If you remember, last October, Uber announced that it would like to expand its ride-sharing features to the heavens. Literally. It turns out that Uber is very serious about developing flying cars/taxis and they have hired NASA engineer Mark Moore to spearhead the company’s flying car project. © Uber The project has been bestowed the name ‘Uber Elevate’ which is quite fitting for what Uber is trying to achieve. Moore has worked on developing transports that resemble a helicopter but are technically automobiles. The transports were designed to haul urban commuters from city to city which is essentially Uber’s business model. © YouTube The Next Web reports that “Moore hopes to escalate the company’s vision for “on-demand aviation” —- helping create the world where urban air transit systems are commonplace and tiny self-flying aircraft run on electric. More specifically, the flying cabs would have between 50 to 100 miles of flight capabilities on one charge, and could be hailed by pressing a single button on the ride-hailing service’s ubiquitous app.” As for now, there is no confirmation on whether Uber will be launching the Elevate service anytime soon. However, we already know that Uber has been successfully testing self-driven cars and a flying taxi does not seem far fetched.
