  6. India began its T20 World Cup preparations with an impressive seven-wicket win over one of the tournament favourites England at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. Despite the pitch being on the slower side, the match turned out to be a high-scoring affair, with 380 runs scored across both innings. The 50-over world champions posted a huge total of 188/5 in their stipulated 20 overs, which India chased down with ease with six balls to spare, thanks to blistering fifties from openers KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. © Twitter BCCI While the results went India’s way, it was not all glittery for Virat Kohli’s men, especially India’s senior-most fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was taken to the cleaners by the England batters in the death overs. Despite all of that, it was heartening to see India play fearless cricket in the second innings and pushed English bowlers on the backfoot right from the start, not allowing them to settle in the game. From India’s point of view, the biggest takeaway from the game was the opening partnership between Rahul and Kishan as it laid the foundation for other batters to come in and express themselves freely. Not just the opening stand, there were several other boxes that India ticked and we take a look at key lessons that we learnt from India’s impressive win over England. KL Rahul To Open With Rohit Sharma Runs Balls Fours Sixes What a knock @klrahul11 has played! #TeamIndia #INDvENG #T20WorldCup : Getty Images pic.twitter.com/zSyFyWeh59 — BCCI (@BCCI) October 18, 2021 Before the tournament, there were talks in some quarters that Virat Kohli might open the innings with Rohit Sharma but he quashed all the speculations at the toss, announcing that he will bat at number three in the tournament. “Things were different before IPL, now it's difficult to look beyond KL Rahul at the top of the order. Rohit is a no-brainer. World-class player, he's been solid up front. I will be batting at 3. That's the only news I can give to start off,” Kohli said after winning the toss. Continuing his excellent IPL form, Rahul scored a blistering half-century, smashing 51 off just 24 balls at a crazy strike rate of 212.50. His powerful knock was studded with six fours and three hits over the fence. Ishan Kishan - The Pocket Dynamo View this post on Instagram The 23-year-old wicketkeeper-batter made the most of the opportunity and top-scored for the side scoring 70 runs off just 46 balls. If there were concerns over his form going into the tournament, he quashed all of them with his powerful knock. Despite that, he might have to wait for his chance in the starting XI but he did increase the worries for the team management with his match-winning knock. Although he has been picked as a backup opener, we all know that he can bat anywhere in the middle-order and given his form it will be hard to keep him out of the playing XI. Jasprit Bumrah - The ‘X’ Factor View this post on Instagram Jasprit Bumrah might be the youngest of India’s all four front-line seamers but he has become a leader of the pace attack. While other two pacers Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar went for more than 10 runs an over, Bumrah kept things tight from his end and conceded only 26 runs in his spell, in addition to dismantling the timber of a set Jonny Bairstow with a searing yorker. Ravichandran Ashwin’s Experience View this post on Instagram All eyes were on the veteran off-spinner who has returned to India’s limited-overs squad after a long absence. He didn’t pick any wickets but he did his job by stopping the run flow from one end. He was the most economical Indian bowler, giving away only 23 runs. His performance proved that experience isn’t something that can be bought in a flea market and in a big tournament like this, more than skills it’s the ability to handle the pressure situation that determines which side of the result a team will end up in. Despite that, his place in the starting line-up isn’t guaranteed as he’ll have to fight it out with Kolkata Knight Riders mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy, who missed the warm-up game alongside Rohit Sharma. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Form - A Big Concern © Instagram Bhuvneshwar Kumar Bhuvi endured a disappointing IPL for SunRisers Hyderabad and going into the tournament, his form was a major cause of concern for Team India. While other players utilised the warm-up game to find their mojo back, the swing-specialist couldn’t impress in the warm-up game. Kohli made him open the bowling and even tasked him with bowling the final over of the innings but he looked short on confidence, no matter at which stage he was bowling. Leaking 54 runs in his four-over spell, he was India’s most expensive bowler on the night. One more failure in the next warm-up game against Australia could even mean he misses out on a place in the starting lineup against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24. Rahul Chahar’s Mixed Return © Twitter BCCI The youngest bowler in India’s squad Rahul Chahar was included in the T20 World Cup squad in place of experienced Yuzvendra Chahal but he couldn’t do complete justice to the faith shown in him by the selectors and the team management. He was coming off a tough IPL season and it reflected in his performance. To be fair, he did trouble the English batters with his variations but he lacked consistency and gave away cheap boundaries. The team management would want to give him one more chance in the next warm-up fixture against Australia to see if he deserves to start against Pakistan or not. Hardik Pandya’s Fitness Worries © Instagram Hardik Pandya All-rounder Hardik Pandya didn’t do much in the game. Many expected him to start bowling in the warm-up games but clearly he isn’t fit enough to start bowling yet. The Mumbai Indians star wasn’t called in to bowl and he didn’t do much with the bat either, with his only accomplishment being he remained not out at the end. During his short stay at the crease, he struggled to time the ball and find the gaps. Barring one shot that he put in the gap on the off side, his timing was awful but luckily Rishab Pant was at the other end and he finished the job with a massive six in the 19th over. 9. Rakhi Sawant has left no stone unturned in entertaining everyone with her unusual antics over the years. Be it about Covid or her tirade on pretty much anything else, Rakhi has managed to keep us all hooked to her hilarious videos and content. No doubt, the videos are super cringey sometimes but most people can't help but scroll and watch her videos. Seriously, it's a guilty pleasure! © Instagram/Rakhi Sawant She was recently seen buying vegetables wearing a full PPE kit, which for some reason she always calls a 'PPT Kit'. There's a video that has now gone viral, in which Rakhi is seen telling everyone the importance of wearing a 'PPT Kit'. She is also seen educating the vendors about the high prices of the vegetables these days. She stated that wearing a PPE kit will keep everyone safe, amid the second wave. To this, people couldn't stop laughing at the video and are now calling her the 'queen of entertainment.' Watch the video here. View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram She can be heard saying "Guys please be safe, wear a PPT kit and go wherever you want to go but better." © Instagram/Rakhi Sawant © Instagram/Rakhi Sawant View this post on Instagram Just some days ago, Rakhi also revealed that her mother had been battling a cancerous tumour for a while now. The operation was successful and Rakhi broke down while talking to the paparazzi. She also thanked Salman Khan for helping her mother through the tough times. She also mentioned how he helped her find India's best cancer specialist to treat her mother. Rakhi finally gave the good news to everyone, saying her mother is now cancer-free. Say what you may, Rakhi certainly knows how to amuse us even during such trying times. And for that, we applaud her! View the full article
  10. While one may not be a fan of his simplistic and very basic sense of style, Prince Narula does know how to dress to impress. We have seen in the past, that he is a massive sneakerhead, and that for his fans, his sense of style is impeccable. © Viral Bhayani Recently, the reality television star was seen outside his gym in Mumbai, in a rather stylish gym outfit, which, if you have bulging biceps and would like to show off to the rest of the world, is just perfect. © Viral Bhayani The outfit also revealed just how big of a Tattoo snob Narula is. The highlight of the ensemble though has to be his fishnet sneakers, which, have to be hands down, one of the weirdest pairs of sneakers we have seen in a really long time. © Viral Bhayani But first, let’s take a dive into what exactly he’s wearing. Narula was seen wearing a rather stretched out gym vest, and a basic pair of sweatpants from Adidas. Such an outfit is actually great for people who love to show off their sculpted body, especially if they have worked really well on their biceps. © Viral Bhayani Narula was also seen wearing an orange baseball cap, which actually went well as an accessory with the rest of his outfit. However, the coolest thing about his entire ensemble would have to be the sneakers that he’s wearing. They legit look like they were made from a small fishing net. © Adidas The sneakers that Prince was wearing, were the Deerupt Cloud White Core 2 Sneakers From Adidas, and boy oh boy, are they something to look at. The sneakers have a very unusual silhouette. For example, the sneakers don’t have a tongue of sorts that goes under the laces. Instead, the basic structure of the sneaker looks like one of those sock sneakers, without a protruding ankle cover. © Adidas Secondly, the sneakers are covered with a layer on the outside that resembles a very finely spaced fishnet. This gives the sneakers a very unusual appearance. © Adidas Here’s the best bit about these sneakers - they retail for just under Rs 4500 on most e-commerce platforms, which, when you think about it, isn’t that much considering just how unique these sneakers look. © Viral Bhayani All in all, that’s a pretty dope outfit that Prince has got there. A job well done indeed. View the full article
  11. Given just how massively popular Prabhas is, and how most of his films rake in unbelievable numbers, it can be pretty safe to assume that the actor can afford the best wheels that money can buy. What he actually owns is limited only by his imagination and if he really enjoys cars. © Instagram/actorprabhas And Prabhas sure does. Recently, Prabhas took the delivery of one of the most insane cars that money can buy in India, the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster, a supercar that costs north of Rs 6 Crores and is a proper petrol-powered beast of a machine. © Twitter/TrendsPrabhas Apparently, he had previously bought the non-Roadster version for his father, according to some of his fan pages on Twitter. Luxury car spotters on Twitter & Instagram went into a frenzy as he was seen taking his new car for a spin around Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills and other areas. #Prabhas First Ride on New Lamborghini pic.twitter.com/xBWVzYcBcH — Prabhas Trends ™ (@TrendsPrabhas) March 28, 2021 The orange coloured Roadster, which comes with a 6.5-litre V12 engine that produces over 740 bhp, and 690 Nm of torque, has a top speed of 217 mph, or over 350 kmph, and can do a 0-100 kmph run in just under 3 seconds. Prabhas anna unveiling the car #Prabhas pic.twitter.com/cxsphLq0A5 — Prabhas Trends ™ (@TrendsPrabhas) March 28, 2021 While Prabhas’s Lamborghini is a genuinely dope car, it is not the only drool-worthy four-wheeler in his garage. Here are some of the other luxury cars he owns: 1. Jaguar XJL - Rs 2.08 Crores © Jaguar The Jaguar XJL is one of Prabhas’ daily-drivers. As opposed to the standard XJ, the XJL has a longer wheelbase, and a slightly better-tuned engine to keep the performance at par with the regular version. His XJL has the V8 engine, which has one of the sweetest and most scintillating exhaust notes in history. 2. Customised Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography - Rs 3 Crores © BCCL Prabhas reportedly has always been a fan of British cars. One of his most prized cars is a customised Range Rover SVAutobiography. Apparently, he got some really cool custom work done to the car, especially, in terms of engine tuning and the interiors, all in the United Kingdom, before getting it imported into India. 3. Customised Rolls Royce Phantom - Price Unknown © Rolls Royce Another example of top-notch British Engineering in his garage would be the customised Rolls Royce Phantom that he has. The base variant of his car starts at Rs 8.5 Crores. However, according to a few reports, he spent over Rs 2.5 Crores customising just the interiors. As a result, the exact price of his Rolls Royce is unknown. At the minimum, it must have cost him over Rs 10 Crores. 4. BMW X3 M Sport - Rs 1.05 Crores © BMW Finally, we come to the BMW X3 he owns. A lot of people erroneously believe that his X3 costs about Rs 68 Lakhs. However, if some car spotters from Hyderabad are to be believed, he has the 2017 M Sport edition. BMW’s M division gives the M Sport badge only to cars that they have meticulously fettered with and made into a beast of a machine. Consequently, M cars cost significantly more than their non-M badged counterparts. The Bottomline… Although Prabhas’ new Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster is a beast of a machine and a car that millions of petrolheads would give an arm to own, it certainly isn’t the only noteworthy car that the actor has. It will be interesting to see what exotic four-wheeled beast he goes for next. View the full article

  13. Believe it or not, one of the most crucial ways our movies portray villains as menacing is by using beard and moustaches. © Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Trust us when we say that properly styled facial hair can make or break a character. Take Karan Johar as an example in Bombay Velvet. He looked like a proper villain, all thanks to that sharply styled chevron moustache of his. And boy, did he do a good job as a villain in the film. © Phantom Films We take a look at a few of the most iconic villains from Indian movies, who had great facial hair, which added layers to their appearance on screen and made them more devilish. Ranveer Singh In Padmaavat © Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Ranveer as Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat was one of the best on-screen villains we have had in a long time. His get up and his look for the film was just phenomenal. His beard, however, was on a different level. The full-sized, full-grown beard that he donned for the film, greatly added to his persona. Plus, in some of the shots, the way he styled his beard, was both, alluring, as well as menacing. Freddy Daruwala in Holiday © Reliance Entertainment As far as facial hair is concerned, stubbles can be a hit or a miss. As Shadab Ali Farooqui, the leader of the sleeper cells in Holiday, Freddy Daruwala’s stubble was a great hit. It was well defined and added a nuanced menace to his appearance. Sajjad Delafrooz in Tiger Zinda Hai & Special Ops © Hotstar Sajjad is setting some major grooming goals with his beard. Be it in the film Tiger Zinda Hai, or the series Special Ops, the way he has styled his short, fully grown beard is just dope. Guys, seriously, if you’re looking for a way to style your beard, that always looks elegant, this is the way to go. Nikitin Dheer In Various Films © Red Chillies Entertainment Nikitin Dheer happens to be one of the most stylish guys who has played a villain across a number of films. Pick any of his web series, or films. You won’t be able to deny that he looks damn convincing as a villain. Again, a large part of it has got to do with his looks. The beard he dons makes him one of the most reliable actors to play a villain. Ramachandra Raju In KGF: Chapter 1 © Hombale Films If you haven’t watched KGF: Chapter 1 yet, we suggest you drop whatever it is that you’re doing and go watch it. The film was phenomenal, and it was Yash’s show, through and through. However, as a villain, Ramachandra Raju playing Garuda, is clearly one of the most maniacal villains we have had in decades. His long, unkempt, fully grown beard made him look like a devil in human form. Truly, this was a masterful performance. Ronit Roy in Boss © Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Ronit Roy’s portrayal of a cop in Boss was fiendish to say the least. He perfectly embodied the role of a corrupt cop. The moustache that he grew for the film, also called the pornstache complemented his character, rather perfectly. Amjad Khan In Sholay © Sippy Films Finally, we have Amjad Khan’s Gabbar Singh in Sholay. Without any doubt, he is the most classical villain in Indian film history. The patchy, unkempt and dirty beard, with a bit of mutton chops thrown into the mix - that was a goldmine for beard styles. As devilish as the character was, Amjad Khan, not only portrayed the part well, he also looked perfect as a dacoit. The Bottom LineFor actors, their character’s style and how they come across on screen is crucial to portray a character convincingly. For villains, it becomes even more pertinent. Some of the actors that we saw today, came across as more fiendish and proper maniacs, all thanks to their beards. Think we’re missing someone out on this list? Let us know in the comments, who all would you put on the list. View the full article
  14. Aparshakti has never been a recluse when it comes to fashion. He has almost always gone bonkers with his joggers, shoes, accessories and plausibly, done it all. Remember when he wore Coco-Cola joggers and we thought it was one heck of a dope style statement? He has been unstoppable and has been wearing some superb statement pieces that never fail to grab our attention. © Instagram/Aparshakti Khurana © Viral Bhayani Finally, coming to his outfit, Aparshakti can be seen in a dope black T-shirt, paired with his Calvin Klein joggers. As for the other details, upon closer inspection, we also found Apar wearing a ring, by YSL which has a bizarre yet quirky design. For this look, in particular, he went high with his accessories, as he was seen wearing a Beret by Shantanu & Nikhil along with Rayban wayfarers. View the full article
