  1. Machine Gun Kelly recently recalled the time when the rapper and Megan Fox landed in a ?dark place?
  2. The venue changed as both teams shifted base from Nottingham to London for the second Test but Virat Kohli’s poor luck with the flip of the coin continued he lost yet another toss. The Indian skipper is yet to win a single toss in red-ball cricket in England, as he has come out for a toss on eight occasions and has lost each one of them. His terrible luck stretches back to 2018 when he lost all five tosses. Virat Kohli toss record vs England in Tests Mat 16 Toss won 2 Toss lost 14 In eight Tests he led India in England, he has lost toss all eight times. (including WTC final)#ENGvIND — Deepu Narayanan (@deeputalks) August 12, 2021 He lost the WTC final toss against Kane Williamson At the Ageas Bowl in Southampton and now, has started the series with a couple of more losses. When playing overseas, especially in SENA countries, (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) where pitches are more lively, winning a toss works to your advantage as it allows you to decide whether you want to bat or bowl, based on the pitch and overcast conditions. To be fair to Kohli, there is no secret to winning a toss but people have started wondering as to why he tends to lose them more than his other counterparts. The toss has not gone Virat Kohli's way https://t.co/YcwobXogVW | #ENGvIND pic.twitter.com/MsGpuqcEpX — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) August 12, 2021 Not just in England, Kohli’s overall toss record against Joe Root is not something to write home about as he won only two tosses out of 16 tries. Watching Kohli struggling with his poor luck, fans have started suggesting innovative ways to help him break the deadlock and get off the mark. © Reuters In the past, we have seen former South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis coming out with a proxy skipper to break the toss jinx when they toured India in 2019. It didn’t work out for him but fans are suggesting he should at least give it a try and come out with either Rohit Sharma or Ajinkya Rahane in the next match. Laughing at the expense of others has become a norm on social media these days and there was no shortage of people who used the opportunity to start a meme fest. Losing toss was an Olympic sport. 4. Most of the countries across the world are on a total lockdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak and workaholics are the most impacted by this lockdown. While many people continue working from home, anyone running a business is under the stress of not being able to earn a single dime and above all, being caged at home. These are the ones who are easily bored and are addicted to working long hours and are losing their minds sitting at home. © Reuters Recently, a businessman from Moscow decided to take up a low-paying, but physically active job of delivering meals amid the Coronavirus outbreak as he was bored sitting at home. Sergey Nochovnyy, 38, said that he joined a delivery company as he wanted to look at things from a different perspective and get outdoors during the lockdown as there is a restriction of movement. © Reuters So, he ended up taking a job thatâll allow him to move around for his work. The authorities of Moscow have asked the people of non-vital industries to stay at home to fight the Coronavirus. And just like India, people can only go outside to buy groceries and medicines. Also, the lockdown spurred the demand for delivery jobs and thatâs when Sergey decided to take up one. The 38- year-old businessman said that he walks around 20 Kms a day to deliver food. The businessman who returned to Russia last year after spending 12 years in china, now makes around $13-20 a day as a deliveryman. © Twitter_AP He was earlier making approximately $2 million a year with his consulting business. However, he took the job as the job offers physical activity as thatâs what he was missing amid the lockdown. He is actually an inspiration for all millennials out there. We hope that we win over the pandemic and people can go back to work as they did before the lockdown but right now staying indoors is equivalent to staying safe! View the full article

  7. For a man who pays his bills through Test cricket, Cheteshwar Pujara's batting display in the traditional whites is often a reminder of eras gone by. His batting technique and temperament has allowed him to become India's go-to batsmen in the longest version of the game. Over the years, the right-hander has successfully aided his side in crunch situations. And, on 6th December, Pujara did it again. Coming out to bat on Day 1 of the first Test in Adelaide, Pujara held the fort for India with a sublime knock of 123 runs. The Aussie seamers had reduced India to 41/4 early on the first day, but the right-hander showcased great maturity and patience in his gem of an innings to revive the innings for India. © AP Pujara scored his 16th Test hundred en route to his longest innings Down Under which came off 246 balls. His pivotal knock eventually came to an end when a remarkable direct throw from Pat Cummins caught him short at the crease. If it wasn't for his braveheart effort, India wouldn't have managed to close the day at 250/9. Thus, there was no surprise to see Pujara attracting plaudits from all corners of the country. But, amongst the praise, there came a unique mention which further enhanced the Indian cricketer's reputation as a prolific batsman. Pujara's innings apparently impressed the Kolkata Police so much that they made the right-hander the face of their new traffic signal awareness campaign. pic.twitter.com/fNbR2SStuq — Kolkata Police (@KolkataPolice) 7 December 2018 Kolkata Police used Pujara's photo where he was seen celebrating his century in Adelaide and paired it with a picture of a person wearing seat belt while driving his car. The concerned police department also shared the photo on their official Twitter handle with the caption: "Defense should be like Pujara". Apart from Pujara, Jasprit Bumrah was also part of Jaipur Traffic Police's road safety campaign back in 2017. But, the Indian seamer was left fuming after Jaipur Traffic Police used his 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final no-ball picture as a campaign for road safety.
  8. 25-year-old Hardik Pandya is an icon. A flamboyant player who is full of confidence, he is a fearless character and knows how to hit big. Besides being an inspiration to anyone who wants to be on top of their game, he is also one of the greatest inspirations to an entire generation, to say the least. He is constantly #OnYourMach! And if you're looking for a hint to be even a tiny bit like him (ahem ahem, successful) he has made it a lot easier for you. The first step in creating the perfect concoction to success #StartwithAttitude with the new Gillette Mach3 Start. Of course, that's not all. You need to be on top of your game. Ready to get up every time you fall! And Hardik knows it all too well. In his short video for Gillette, you see a glimpse of the discipline and madness, that makes him the cricketer he is. And of course, the right beginnings have to Start with Attitude! Hardik Pandya believes in starting his day with Mach 3 Start that helps him get the right attitude. People might think you've got to be off your head to set impossible goals for yourself, but that's exactly what's got him so far. You need to believe that you can achieve your goals, no matter what. And even if you fail, don't stop. Get off your bed every day and repeat, again and again, until you're where you wanted to be. And then you see how it goes. And in all this, don't forget to start with attitude with the new Mach3 Start, which has a first-ever 360° aqua-grip handle, three stronger than steel blades, and is available in a sleek, blue colour. After all, looking clean and fresh plays a very important role in shaping your everyday attitude. Like Hardik said, "Off you go!"

  11. Kanye West is a creative genius and a powerhouse of talents in his own right. From being a rapper, singer, songwriter, fashion designer, an entrepreneur…*phew* to being married to Kim Kardashian, one of the hottest women in the world; Kanye West should possibly consider changing his name to Kanye Best. Jealousy does not even begin to define what people feel for him. His unparalleled love for…himself is definitely something we all need to learn from. Honestly, the world would have been a better place, had we all loved ourselves and those around us, the way Kanye loves Kanye. Even Kim Kardashian stands second in front of all the love that Kanye has for Yeezy or Yeezus, a name that he apparently coined for himself. A quick context: Apparently, he thinks he is close to the level of God and his controversial album 'Yeezus' which sounds similar to Jesus only went on to prove the same. Is there anyone else who feels Rakhi Sawant and her 'Jeejus' too should get an honorary mention here? Having said that, we also need to mention Elon Musk, who is now inching closer to becoming the leader of West's 'Yeezus' disciples. You can also call him the future President of the Kanye West fanclub. Why? Because Kanye West 'obviously' inspires Musk. Reportedly, while speaking at South by South West (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas; Musk was asked, “Everyone in this room is inspired by you, who are you inspired by?” Musk was prompt to reply, “Well, Kanye West obviously.” Then he went on to add Fred Astaire's name in the list saying “you should see my dance moves.” .@ElonMusk says he's "obviously" inspired by Kanye West #tictocnews pic.twitter.com/MGRCGuyx1Q — TicToc by Bloomberg (@tictoc) March 11, 2018 Was Musk not told that this event has no relation whatsoever with Kanye? Neither did the two have any 'West-ed' interest in each other, except for just sharing the same name 'West'. © Twitter But, it is not the first time that Musk has gone all out to praise Kanye. Reportedly in 2015, Musk left some impressive comments for Kanye in Time's list of 100 most influential people. The whole world is inspired by Musk and Musk is inspired by West, so if I apply whatever little knowledge of Mathematics I have left in me; does that mean the world is inspired by Kanye? Well, after this revelation, who knows Kanye might release an album for Musk, which will be sent to space to give company to Starman, the mannequin driver of Musk's electric sports car Tesla Roadster. This .gif of @elonmusk dancing is now my favorite one on the internet and I will be using it a nauseating amount. pic.twitter.com/9zixte3sOW — Justin Enriquez (@justinenriquez_) March 11, 2018 Anyway, did any of you manage to spot Elon Musk in Kanye's highly infamous music video 'Famous'? Still didn't find him? Well, we neither, because Musk was not in it. We just wanted you to listen to this song because we were in a mood for it! Now, you can go back to whatever boring stuff y'all were doing.
  12. England batsman Jason Roy acknowledges the applause after being dismissed by Australia's for 180 during their one-day international cricket match played at the MCG in Melbourne on January 14, 2018. Photo: AFP MELBOURNE: Opener Jason Roy recorded the highest-ever one-day international score by an England player as the tourists finally had something to celebrate with a five-wicket win over Australia on Sunday. After their wretched Ashes campaign, in which they were beaten 4-0, the tourists chased down a hefty Australian total at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to win with seven balls to spare in the opener of the five-match ODI series. Set 305 to win, Roy?s daring 180 helped England make 308 for five. The successful chase was also a record for a one-day international at the MCG, eclipsing Australia?s 297 for four against England in 2011, and vindicated captain Eoin Morgan?s decision to bowl first. Having been an onlooker for the Test series, Roy was an unlikely hero. But he rode his luck to produce a record in limited-overs cricket for England and also a new benchmark for a batsman at the MCG in a one-day international. England captain Joe Root celebrates with teammates after the dismissal of Australia's David Warner during the one-day international match at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia, January 14, 2018. Photo: Reuters The swashbuckling right-hander lived dangerously throughout his innings, charging along at better than a run a ball and reaching his half-century off only 32 balls. He survived a run-out scare and an lbw decision which was overturned upon review, and lofted several balls just out of the reach of frustrated Australian fielders on the way to his fifth ODI century. Roy was just five when Mitchell Starc could have run him out with a direct hit. He duly punished the Australian fast bowler by taking 14 off his next over as the tourists raced past 50 in the fifth over. He was seemingly trapped lbw by 91 by spinner Adam Zampa on 91, but a review showed the ball hit him outside the line of off stump and the decision was overturned. Roy wasted little time making the most of that piece of fortune, driving the next ball just over a leaping Aaron Finch on the long-on boundary for six. He reached his hundred just moments later from 92 balls, with nine fours and three sixes. Fittingly, the 27-year-old passed team-mate Alex Hales?s England record knock of 171 against Pakistan in 2016 with a chip just over the head of a despairing Australian fielder. He finally fell to Starc after skying one into the outfield, having faced 151 balls -- hitting 16 fours and five sixes. Roy was still coming to terms with his achievement after the match. "Incredibly special, I don?t have too many words right now," he said. "Halesy was pretty disappointed." Australian captain Steve Smith praised Roy for his bold knock. "He didn?t give us a chance, and he chanced his arm," Smith said. "They got off to an absolute flyer and we couldn?t pull them back." Roy had a willing partner in Test captain Joe Root, who had been tormented all tour by the Australians and was in no mood to let a rare victory slip. Root made an unbeaten 91 and he and Roy put on 221 ? an English ODI record ? for the third wicket. Aaron Finch?s ninth one-day international century was the cornerstone of the Australian total of 304 for eight. Finch?s 107 was backed by half-centuries for Mitchell Marsh (50) and Marcus Stoinis (60) as Australia recovered from a shaky start in which the tourists finally managed to get bogeyman Steve Smith cheaply. Fresh from scoring three centuries as Australia won the Ashes 4-0, Smith looked in commanding touch again as he scored at better than a run a ball, but was caught behind off spinner Adil Rashid for just 23.
  13. A Syrian man and a child holding hand cover his eye in support of Syrian baby BEIRUT: An image of a Syrian baby?s striking scar trailing down what used to be his left eye has sparked a global campaign of solidarity, with people around world posting photos on Twitter of themselves covering one eye. Amer Almohibany, a Syrian freelance photojournalist documenting Syria?s six-year war said he was haunted by a baby named Karim who lost his eye and mother in the bombing of Eastern Ghouta, a besieged rebel enclave near Damascus. ?His image was permanently etched in my mind,? Almohibany told the Thomson Reuters Foundation by phone. ?I was putting my eye on the viewfinder and I was truly crying as I am seeing Karim through my camera ... I knew that his story was not going to pass through like any other.? The UN says about 400,00 civilians besieged in Eastern Ghouta face ?complete catastrophe? because aid deliveries by the Syrian government were blocked and hundreds of people needing urgent medical evacuation were not allowed out. Almohibany, 28, posted a photo on Twitter last week of himself covering his eye, along with photos of two-month-old Karim with the hashtag #SolidarityWithKarim. The campaign inspired others to respond, including Britain?s United Nations (UN) ambassador Matthew Rycroft who tweeted a photo of himself with one hand over his eye, seated at a U.N. Security Council meeting. ?When we sit around the #UNSC and warn that inaction will mean more people are going to die. More schools bombed. More children scarred. This is what we mean,? he posted. ?We must see an end to the bombardment.? The International Committee of the Red Cross said in a statement this week that, the humanitarian situation in Eastern Ghouta has reached ?a critical point?, with limited aid, a frightening food shortage and soaring food prices. As images of injured, starving or dying children only stay in the news for fleeting moments, Almohibany does not think his picture will trigger real change. But he will keep ?showing the truth? of the innocent victims of war, he said. ?I was so happy with people?s interactions,? he said. ?I felt like we are not alone in this trap, someone is listening to me, my voice is not dying.?
  14. Vincent Aboubakar struck two first-half goals to spearhead Porto?s emphatic 5-2 win over Monaco at the Dragao Stadium on Wednesday and seal their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League. The prolific Cameroonian striker took his season?s tally in all competitions to 17 in a one-sided game in which both teams were reduced to 10 men after Porto?s Felipe and Monaco?s Rachid Ghezzal were sent off for an undignified 38th-minute scuffle. Knowing a win would guarantee them second place in Group G, Porto?s nerves were quickly settled when Aboubakar latched on to Yacine Brahimi?s through ball after nine minutes. The powerful striker was in magnificent form, pouncing again in the 33rd minute when he cut in from the left edge of the box and shot beneath Diego Benaglio for his fifth goal of the Champions League campaign. Monaco, who had lost the 2004 final to the same Portuguese opponents, were reminded of that 3-0 defeat when Aboubakar turned provider, playing in Brahimi for a third just before halftime. Monaco captain Kamil Glik pulled one back with a 61st-minute penalty, given harshly for a handball from Ivan Marcano, but Porto?s Brazilian fullback Alex Telles thundered home a 25-metre shot four minutes later. Radamel Falcao nodded in a 78th-minute consolation against his old club before Tiquinho Soares struck again with another header for the home side with just two minutes remaining. The victory took Porto to 10 points behind group winners Besiktas, who moved on to 14 after their 2-1 win at RB Leipzig ensured the German newcomers missed out in third place on seven points. For Monaco, though, the conclusive defeat only demonstrated how far they have fallen since their exciting young side was broken up after reaching the semi-finals last season. For the prolific Falcao, still Monaco?s brightest spark in a dismal season, it was a bittersweet return to the Dragao, where he won six trophies with Porto. ?For me, it was a huge pleasure to come here and play again. It?s like my home and I won a lot of trophies here,? the Colombian told UEFA.com. ?Now we have to focus on the league and the two domestic cups. It?s sad not to be continuing in the Champions League but that?s football. ?Our team changed a lot in the summer and we need time to get stronger. We are capable of finishing second in the league in order to return to this competition.?
  15. Tom Latham struck his maiden ODI hundred in Asia/BCCI MUMBAI: Kane Williamson hailed century-maker Tom Latham and Ross Taylor for inspiring "one of the greatest chases ever" after New Zealand stunned India by six wickets in the first ODI Sunday. Latham scored 103 and Taylor made 95 as the batsmen put on a massive 200-run partnership to win a thrilling contest at Mumbai´s Wankhede Stadium with six balls to spare. The fourth-wicket partnership, which lasted 187 balls, propelled the Kiwis to 284-4 after home captain Virat Kohli´s delightful century saw India record an opening innings total of 280-8. "It was a brilliant performance from Virat, happening every time he walks out to the crease. But we stuck at it and it was one of the greatest chases I´ve seen, certainly in my time as a Black Cap," New Zealand captain Williamson said afterwards. Left-hander Latham´s 102-ball knock included eight fours and two sixes. Batting veteran Taylor´s 95 came off 99 deliveries and included eight fours. The visitors´ run chase got off to a poor start with opener Colin Munro falling for 28 before Williamson walked shortly afterwards on a paltry six. When Martin Guptill was sent packing by Hardik Pandya in the 18th over for 32 New Zealand were at 80-3 and looking like they were heading for a heavy defeat. But 25-year-old Latham and Taylor, 33, had other ideas and easily batted away everything that India´s newest spin attack of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal could throw at them. "I have to go back to that partnership -- Tom and Ross controlled the innings perfectly through the middle overs," beamed Williamson. MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli make minor tweaks to the field simultaneously/BCCI Latham, who was named man of the match, said it had been difficult to keep wicket for 50 overs and then bat for so long in Mumbai´s humidity of 70 percent plus. "It was tough. The conditions are completely different to back home," he explained, lavishing praise on Taylor for helping him get to his century. "The biggest thing in a partnership is communication. We were talking every over. Hats off to him for playing such a great innings. He was a calming influence on me," said Latham. Taylor was dismissed in the penultimate over, caught by Chahal off Bhuvneshwar Kumar, with New Zealand needing just one run to win. Henry Nicholls then came in and smashed a four to secure the tourists´ victory with Latham finishing the game unbeaten. "I´ll take the win anytime. I think that was one of his (Latham´s) best innings ever," Taylor enthused. Earlier, Kohli scored his 31st ODI century in his 200th match as India set New Zealand a target of 281 after winning the toss and opting to bat first. The Indian captain fired 121 off 125 balls including nine fours and two sixes. "We thought (we had) a good total. But Ross and Tom were fantastic. And when you get a 200 partnership, you deserve to win," said Kohli. The win sees New Zealand take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The second ODI takes place in Pune on Wednesday, with the third in Kanpur on October 29.

  17. Neymar lived up to expectations as he showed his class on his Ligue 1 debut on Sunday, scoring one and setting up another goal in Paris St Germain's 3-0 win at En Avant Guingamp. The Brazilian, who joined PSG for a record-shattering 222 million euros (202 million pounds) from Barcelona this month, found Edinson Cavani with a perfectly-timed, defence-splitting pass after the break and the Uruguay striker added to Jordan Ikoko's own goal. Cavani returned the favour with a perfect cut back and Neymar poked the ball home eight minutes from time. The record attendance at the tiny Roudourou stadium was broken as 18,378 fans attended the much-anticipated debut of the Brazil forward. Neymar regularly made himself available and his neat passing in small spaces gave PSG several chances, his relationship with Cavani looking particularly promising. In the 35th minute, he scooped a delicate cross above the defence but Marquinhos's header crashed onto the bar. Karl-Johan Johnsson then tipped Cavani's free kick over his bar as Guingamp held firm. Neymar continued to treat the crowd to some delicate turns, but it was a rookie mistake that put the visitors ahead seven minutes into the second half, when Ikoko's pass back to his keeper ended up in the net. The Brazilian was more decisive on the next goal as he set up Cavani, the Uruguayan scoring with a low shot after he collected his new team mate's long pass in the 62nd minute. Twenty minutes later, Neymar was at the receiving end of Cavani's work to wrap a near-perfect debut. PSG are second on six points, behind Olympique Lyonnais on goals scored with Monaco, who thrashed Dijon 4-1 away earlier on Sunday, in third place also on six points. Despite Monaco fans' concerns that French prodigy Kylian Mbappe might be leaving, they know they can still trust Radamel Falcao after the Colombian striker hit a treble. France international Mbappe was left on the bench amid speculation that he wants to join PSG but he was not needed as Monaco equalled the record of 14 consecutive wins in the French league. Falcao scored twice before the break and once after to take his tally to four goals in two games while Jemerson netted another. Earlier, Lille were beaten 3-0 at promoted RC Strasbourg, conceding all three goals after striker Nicolas de Preville took over as goalkeeper following the sending off of Mike Maignan in the 63rd minute.
