    Linked Accounts - Post As Linked Accounts allows your members to link one or more accounts then quickly switch between them. You have a full range of options about which usergroups can use the Linked Accounts system and which usergroups cannot be linked to. The POST AS feature allows the user with linked accounts to create/reply to a topic using a Linked Account. Each action is logged so you can keep a track of what linked account users do. The Linked Accounts system could be useful for fan fiction forums, roleplaying forums, or just those of you with multiple accounts (e.g, John Doe, Administrator, Forum News). Notes: Linked Accounts is integrated to Login system of IPS4, so to control the number of failed logins, Reset failed login count (minutes) on ACP -> Login Handlers -> Login Settings. This version contains an upgrader, so you can keep on using accounts created on this app for IP.Board 3.4 .

  3. Wasn't too sure if this is the right section, but this is where I felt it was most appropriate from the forum titles I could see. I in no way claim to own this as I just found it on a small forum and thought others may find it useful. I have edited the Read Me below to contain more up to date and relevant information. Shiroyuki JavaScript IPB to Discord Bot. Summary: This is a JavaScript bot developed using Node.JS which connects to discord via the Eris library. This bot uses REST API to grab information like the latest threads, posts, and users from Invision Power Boards. This is only a basic bot and as such can only post latest threads, authors, and posts but I will be expanding it in future to include many other useful things. Features Uses REST API to grab Latest Thread Uses REST API to grab Latest Post Uses REST API to grab username of aforementioned things, and posts it in discord. URL Shortener (using https://goo.gl/) Syncing usernames on Discord with IPB Usernames (currently done with JSON file and a command) To be implemented: automatic syncing of names. Installation Download LTS Version of NodeJS from NodeJS Download files from github and extract them to wherever you like. Setup your REST API. Open Node.JS in your favorite editor eg Notepad++, Sublime, Atom etc. Edit the following sections and replace them with your own information. Setting up REST API Go to your Admin Control Panel -> System -> Underneath Site Features click "REST API" -> Create New and make it according to the image below. In regards to "Posts" Do the same as Topics with 4 Endpoints for it to gather information from. I just couldn't crop it out nicely and added this text as a result. Setting up the bot. Replace: googl.setKey(''); with your own API from Goo.gl in this section. Link can be found by clicking ---> Goo.gl API page <--- Replace: var bot = new Eris(""); //This is your discord bot token with your own token which can be gotten from ---> Discord Developers <--- Replace: var username = '' //enter in your {REST API Key} here var password = '' //Leave this blank with your REST API key which you can make by going to IP Board Admin Control Panel -> System -> REST API and leave the password section blank. Otherwise this will not work as the API uses a basic authentication method. forumDomain = "", //replace with your domain name Replace the both of these with your different messages for Posts and Threads, Discord emotes will work as far as I am aware. At the moment it'll post something like this. Some of the text was removed for security, and because I felt like removing it. After you've edited the file to suit the needs of your Discord and IPB Forums go to CMD and navigate to the location of your bot. Eg: cd C:\Users\<Your Username>\Desktop\Discord-Bot and type "node bot.js" without the quotation marks. To sync users go to your discord channel and type !addNewTag FORUMUSERNAME @discordname (replace "!" with whatever you set your bot command prefix to) What this will do is whenever "FORUMUSERNAME" makes a thread and or post it'll automatically grab the forum username and if it matches with a preexisting discord name (via the use of the command (!addNewTag FORUMUSERNAME @discordname) it will change FORUMNAME into the discord name.   4. Pinned topics prefix like IPB 3.4.x IPB 4.x displays a different badge of version 3.x for pinned topics and featureds topics. For some reason some people - like me - prefer the badge as they were in the previous version of the software. It looked like a prefix.   5. This is how to make an IPB Feature Plan. Please note that this is not a RIP of IPS', this is my own version, so if you find any variations that is why. If you find any bugs, please comment them below. I will not attempt to fix them, but if someone comments a fix for a bug, I will edit it into this tutorial. Requirements: Pages Application (can be found in funday's copy of IPS 4.x). Basic Knowledge of PHP. A knowledge of the Pages application. Go into your ACP > Pages > Databases. Click Create New to create a new Database. A pop-up will appear. Make sure you are on the Create New Database and click Next. Make the name of your Database whatever you'd like, I suggest Feature Plan. Make the settings exactly as shown in the picture. It's very important to have your Use categories settings set to No. Once you've created your database head over to the Templates section. ACP > Pages > Templates Read carefully from here on because it can be a little tricky if you miss a step. Once you are inside the Templates section click New > Add database template. Here's where you have to be careful and follow my instructions exactly. You will get a pop-up presenting you with a few options. Fill in the options exactly as show in the picture. Under the HTML tab you should see a new folder called Plan with 5 different templates under it. You can edit that code to change the Title and Subtitle at the top of your Feature Plan. Inside of the recordRow template search for {{if $row->fieldValues()['field_19'] Keep that tab open and open a new tab inside of Pages in the ACP. Click in the fields section of the Feature Plan database. You should see the Status section. Click on the pencil to edit the database. Open notepad or some other text editor. Paste in the URL of the page you just opened. At the end you should see something like do=form&id=19. You need the number at the end of the URL. Mine happens to be 19. Yours might be 125 or it might be 4. Move back to the tab you have open where you located {{if $row->fieldValues()['field_19'] inside of the recordRow template. Change field_19 to field_YOURNUMBERHERE. Obviously filling in YOURNUMBERHERE with the number at the end of the URL you copied into a text editor. Inside the ACP go to Pages > Pages. Click New Page and choose Page Builder for the Content Editor option. Click next. Make the pages name what you choose. I recommend simply Feature Plan. Go to the menu tab at the top and click add to menu. Leave those settings as is and click save. Navigate to the index page of your forums. The homepage. Click on Feature Plan in the navigation bar. Or whatever you named it. In the left you should see a little arrow peaking out. Click it. Click the arrow on Pages and drag the Database option onto the page wherever you'd like. Click the edit button on the Database module and choose the Feature Plan database. Click finish editing. Go to the Fields area of the Feature Plan database. Make a field called Summary. Make your settings exactly like this > and Make another field called Status.
