  1. Parts of Karachi receive heavy to moderate rains; Met office forecast indicates more rain with lightning in Hyderabad, Badin, Thatta and other cities of Sindh today
  2. Elizabeth Olsen speaks on how 'frustrated' she felt after losing acting roles due to MCU contract
  3. The second most successful franchise in IPL history, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have made a forgettable start to the 15th edition of the tournament. The Ravindra Jadeja-led side have lost their first four matches and are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table. For a franchise that lifted the trophy less than just six months ago are now struggling to even open their account and it’s a hard pill to swallow for anyone. View this post on Instagram Forget victories, the Chennai-based outfit has even failed to challenge their opposition thus far in the tournament and given their form people are afraid that they might be heading towards their worst-ever finish in the history. After their fourth defeat in IPL 2022, former India head coach Ravi Shastri pointed out the biggest blunder the franchise made heading into the tournament and are now suffering because of that. View this post on Instagram Just two days before their opening clash, former CSK skipper MS Dhoni relinquished the position and handed over the leadership to all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who has been part of their squad since 2012. Leading the side for the first time in his senior career, the Saurashtra all-rounder has looked under a lot of pressure which has affected his own individual performance, with both bat and ball. The former India all-rounder feels that letting go of a seasoned campaigner like Faf du Plessis was the biggest blunder the franchise made on the auction table and are now paying a heavy price for that. “I feel that someone like Jadeja, he should focus on his own game. If Chennai were to think back, they wouldn't have let go of Faf du Plessis,” Shastri said on ESPNcricinfo show T20 Time Out. The franchise didn’t bid as strongly for the former Proteas skipper as they did for Deepak Chahar and he was eventually picked by RCB for Rs 7 crore. View this post on Instagram Shastri couldn’t understand why the franchise didn’t break their bank for du Plessis if they knew Dhoni would step down from the role. The 59-year-old has no doubt that had CSK picked the Proteas star they wouldn’t have been in such a miserable state. “He (du Plessis) is a match-winner, he has won the IPL with Chennai, he has a lot of experience. If Dhoni was thinking of giving up the captaincy, then Faf should have been given the job, and Jadeja should have continued as a player. He would have played freely, without the pressure of captaincy. Things could have been different for Chennai then,” he added. View this post on Instagram What Shastri is saying is right but that alone has not caused CSK’s downfall. Even without du Plessis, they managed to assemble a strong group of players but they have all failed to perform as a unit. View the full article

  5. Marvel Studios' upcoming Dr. Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness movie is just one of the most talked-about movies right now. With Sony's Spider-Man spin-off Morbius tanking at the box office, the pressure to deliver yet again falls on Marvel Studios, with the studio having a decent history of success with the films. © Marvel Studios As we already know, Dr. Strange 2 is reported to welcome back some old superheroes and some new ones, with the list including names like Wolverine, Deadpool, Loki, Fantastic Four's Human Torch, Mister Fantastic and Professor X. This also includes the introduction of Tom Cruise as the Superior Iron Man, making this one of the most exciting films to hit this year. © Twitter Well, while there are rumours of maybe Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe joining in as the Wolverine from the X-Men, it certainly doesn't look like he's the only popular X-Men character coming in the film. According to reports, Cyclops, who is an integral character of the X-Men, may also be joining Dr. Strange in the film. © Disney+ Hotstar As you'd know Cyclops AKA Scott Summers is a known X-Men character who can shoot powerful optic blasts from his eyes. His addition would seriously be exciting and would pave the way for Disney's transition of Fox Studio Marvel Characters into its movies. Not just that, the Cyclops is said to be played by none other than the original X-Men movies actor James Marsden. © Disney+ Hotstar The actor who played the role of the iconic X-Men hero in Bryan Singer's movies spoke with Black Girl Nerds (via The Direct) on his casting and actually went on to deny the news. "No… I'm not (in it). I'm not going to see it. I mean, that'd be cool to see those two worlds collide," he said. Now, we know that Marvel never lets any details be disclosed and this could yet be another Andrew Garfield moment. View the full article
  6. We know that Hollywood star and English actor Tom Hardy has a crazy fan following in India as well. And why not? Hardy has left fans stunned with his performances in so many movies over the years. The actor has starred in movies like Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy, Dunkirk, Legend, Inception, and even Marvel and Sony's Venom series. © Sony Pictures Not just that, it's also heard that Hardy, despite working in English and American cinema, has an eye out for Bollywood like so many other stars. In recent times, we've known that Bollywood and Hollywood might actually be closely integrated in the future with stars like Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ali Fazal, and Deepika Padukone working in Hollywood films. It was also once noted that Leonardo DiCaprio and Shah Rukh Khan were supposed to work together. © Twitter/Faridoon Shahryar So, one can only wonder whether Hardy would jump at the opportunity of working in a Hindi film. Well, while he's yet to speak on it, we can bring you something as close as him working in a Bollywood movie. Back in 2018, Hardy and Sound Of Metal actor Riz Ahmed had been promoting their film Venom when they decided to channelize their inner Bollywood fan. They did that by recreating the iconic dialogue of Amrish Puri's Mogambo character from the film Mr. India (1987). © Zee5 The movie revolved around the story of Arun (Anil Kapoor), who lived with orphaned children, and how he fights against the evil Mogambo (Amrish Puri) using an invisibility watch. Well, in the video, Riz can be heard asking Hardy to give his best Mogambo take. “Tom Hardy gives us his best Mogambo – what’s the verdict? Think you can do better? Post yours here with #mogambo before the single drops October 3,” said Ahmed. Tom Hardy gives us his best #mogambo - what’s the verdict? Think u can do better? Post urs here with #mogambo before the single drops Oct 3rd... pic.twitter.com/TEkyvi9vdt — Riz Ahmed (@rizwanahmed) September 30, 2018 As seen in the video, his take on Mogambo is quite impressive. Maybe, he should be brought in as a master villain in one of the big banner Bollywood movies. Hardy should now star in the Venom 3 film that is also reported to have Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. 7. Indian actress Mrunal Thakur may have made her debut in Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 a couple of years ago, however, she's clearly seen her popularity skyrocket since then. The actress, who has predominantly worked in Hindi and Marathi cinema before her big break in Bollywood, also got rave reviews for her acting in her Dhamaka opposite Kartik Aaryan. © Netflix Now, Mrunal is all set to finally star in her latest Bollywood film alongside hunk Shahid Kapoor, with the movie being a sports drama called Jersey. The movie will revolve around the story of a talented yet failed cricketer who decides to return to the sport in his late thirties after he's driven by the goal of representing the Indian cricket team in order to fulfill his son's wish for a jersey as a gift. © YRF Now, Mrunal who is set to be busy with the promos of the film, while speaking to Hindustan Times, revealed how despite her being active on social media, she's not able to post bikini pictures of herself. The actress revealed how despite her confidence in her body type, she still needs to pluck up the courage to upload pictures of herself in a bikini. View this post on Instagram “I need to gather courage to post a picture in the bikini, with the body type I have at the time and I am comfortable with it. I am just gearing up,” she said. The Love Sonia actress said that the reason for this was because of people's reaction to different body types in bikinis, especially in India. “I feel India has not entirely normalized bodies. We still think if you are going to a beach you have to have a perfect body,” she said. Mrunal also spoke on how there shouldn't be a sample size or a particular fitness in order to wear a swimsuit. “But, that’s not how I want to inspire girls out there. It’s okay to be bloated, and to have celluloid (cellulite). You need to be fit within and not necessarily have six-pack abs.” she said. The actress speaks at the back of getting cheap comments on one of her Instagram posts where she was told that her back was a 'matka', while she was exercising. Source: iDiva View the full article
  8. In shocking news, the legendary action star Bruce Willis has taken retirement from acting after he was diagnosed with a brain condition called aphasia, an impairment that affects the production and comprehension of speech and the ability to read or write. Sharing a statement about the 67-year-old star’s diagnosis, his ex-wife and actress Demi Moore wrote, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. 9. Prithvi Shaw was in the news even before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as multiple media reports stated that he had failed the yoyo test at the National Cricket Academy. While we don't know whether he failed the test or not, it had little impact on his inclusion in the Delhi Capitals team for the ongoing tournament, as he was not a centrally contracted player by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and hence was available for selection even if he hadn't passed the fitness test. Immediately after the news went viral that Shaw had failed the test, the opening batter posted a message on his Instagram story. He urged people not to judge anyone without knowing the whole situation. Prithvi Shaw has failed in the Yo-Yo Test but he is allowed to play in IPL as he is not considered in any formats right now. (Source - PTI) — Johns. (@CricCrazyJohns) March 16, 2022 “Please don’t judge me, when you don’t know my situation, U are creating your own Karma,” read one of Shaw’s Instagram stories. However, the explosive batter left all this behind him when he took the field in Delhi Capitals' season opener against Mumbai Indians. Shaw came out to open the innings with Tim Seifert but after a quick start, he saw three wickets fall in just five deliveries at the other end. The 22-year-old kept going and hit two sixes and four boundaries to keep his side in the contest. © Twitter Delhi Capitals Shaw did not have the best of outings in the Ranji Trophy, where he scored 107 runs in four outings for Mumbai. But he got his mojo back as his handy cameo helped Delhi to chase down the 178-run target with 10 balls to spare. Witnessing Shaw's return to form, a former member of Delhi Capitals' coaching staff Mohammad Kaif recalled one of the most bizarre rituals that you will hear a batter following to get his rhythm back. .@MohammadKaif reveals a secret ritual followed by Prithvi Shaw during Kaif's time at Delhi Capitals as their assistant coach from 2019 to 2021#IPL2022 #PrithviShaw pic.twitter.com/Q0saOo1Lji — Sportskeeda (@Sportskeeda) March 27, 2022 "I was with the Delhi Capitals for three years and got to spend a lot of time with Prithvi Shaw. He had this ritual where, before the match, I used to hold a new ball with the seam and throw it underarm towards him, below his knee. He would keep knocking it back to me," Kaif told Sportskeeda. "One day, when I was having tea, a player came in and told me that Shaw was waiting for me outside. I ran outside and asked him what happened. So he told me, ‘please bowl underarm to me, I am not getting runs. I want to start this ritual again’," he added. Well, we have heard multiple stories of players being superstitious including the likes of Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan admitting to following a set pattern before every game but what Shaw does whenever he is short of runs has to be one of the most bizarre rituals ever in cricket. But if it works for him, the current Delhi Capitals support staff will be happily giving throw downs to their opening batter to keep him in good mental space before every game. View the full article
  10. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is one filmstar who has a certain charm that many are unable to ignore. We mean, there is a reason he is referred to as the King of Romance, having done so many memorable films in the past. Now, as you know, SRK has gotten back to work with a bang, with so many ads in recent times. The actor is of course, set to star in his upcoming film Pathan that also stars Deepika Padukone, and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. © Netflix If you're a Bollywood fan, you'd remember that the two starred in the amazing film that was Main Hoon Na back in 2004. Such was their chemistry, that we could not get our eyes away from the screen for one bit back then, and even now when we do reruns of the movie. Now, there may be a chance that two may work together. How? Well, at least that's what they spoke about in a recent ad for Disney + Hotstar that they did together. We're just going to stay Sussshhhh on this one @iamsrk #ThodaRukShahRukh pic.twitter.com/2hr5FZOQFp — Disney+ Hotstar (@DisneyPlusHS) March 26, 2022 In the new ad, Shah Rukh can be seen to be busy texting Sushmita. "Hey Sush, let's do something together for SRK+'' If you don't know the context of this, well, SRK had earlier teased that he's launching his own app called SRK+, however, it later turned out that it was just an ad for Disney+ Hotstar. Well, getting back to this ad, it's clear that SRK wants Sushmita to work with him for a new project, however, to his surprise Sushmita has other plans. "Busy with Disney+ Hotstar." "We can figure next year, pakka (for sure)." says Sushmita in the ad. To this, SRK looks clearly disappointed and walks away. Following this video, Disney+ Hotstar tweeted the video saying, "We're just going to stay Sussshhhh on this one @iamsrk #ThodaRukShahRukh." Now, there is no news related to this, but this might just be an indication of Main Hoon Na 2, maybe? View the full article
  11. If you like Bollywood star John Abraham and the many diverse movies that he has starred in, you must like his 2006 film Kabul Express, which also starred Arshad Warsi. As you know, John is one actor who hasn't ever been scared of trying something different, and his role in Kabul Express was something exactly like that. Directed by Kabir Khan, Kabul Express revolved around the story of two Indian journalists (John and Arshad), an American journalist and an Afghan guide who are taken hostage by Pakistani soldiers before being forced to undertake a 48-hour journey into a war-torn country of Afghanistan. © YRF Now, while there are security parameters set around actors for their safety during filming, John described how the dynamics were completely different in Afghanistan. John, who played the role of Indian journalist Suhel Khan in the film, spoke on the love he got from the Afghanistan people before revealing the threats faced by the Taliban. "There were no social media at that time. When I was leaving Afghanistan, Afghani people told me John jaan (jaan means bhai) whatever you do, don't say anything bad about Afghanistan. And today I want to say on record that Afghani people are the most beautiful, loveliest people in the world, amazing hospitality. Really lovely people, superb people." "It was an UN-approved hotel. I came to the terrace to have tea, and this rocket came from the front and hit the US consulate. Condoleezza Rice used to be the US foreign secretary to the state in Afghanistan at the time. It was Afghanistan's way of telling her that they are not happy with the Americans here. There was another incident where a suicide bomber had blown themselves up just six hours before we reached this location. It was quite an experience." John told Mashable India. His account was somewhat matched by director Kabir Khan, who has made several documentaries in Afghanistan over the years and even once interviewed the Taliban. © Instagram/Kabir Khan During the 10th anniversary of the film in 2016, the Bollywood director had shared a tweet on the film.
