  1. The best time of the year has finally dawned upon us. The festive fervour is floating all around and it's officially the time for friends and families to plan those much-awaited weekend getaways! While planning a vacation, the best way to unwind is to visit a luxurious location with the perfect mix of culture and soul. The one city that is the epitome of all three things is Jaipur. The 'pink city' is the ideal destination where old-school-charm and modern novelties meet. For most of us who have already been to the city, our experiences have been limited to royal landmarks like the Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort. However, there's a lot more that the city of maharaja has to offer! Here's how you can turn your little getaway to Jaipur into a perfect vacation filled with luxury and culture- 1. Fly Above The City: What better way to experience the city than flying above it and enjoying some splendid views of the city. Take in Rajasthan from a unique point of view, flying over the glimmering pink city of Jaipur on a hot air balloon ride. It's an exhilarating way to experience India and get a different perspective of the country. There are two flights each day; one in the morning, one in the afternoon. So buckle up for this manificent luxury. 2. Elephants For the Win: If you want to side-step routine touristy activities and try something unique, this point is for you! Anchored by the conviction that an Elephant Sanctuary provides a critical foundation for breaking the cycle of elephant tourism in Jaipur, Elefantastic works for domesticated elephants of Jaipur with low-income, marginalised caretaker families to run a sanctuary, to provide welfare services and to raise awareness for Asian elephants. 3. A Palace In The Middle Of It All: With its unique setting in the middle of a lake and the attractive backdrop of the temple-dotted Aravalli hills, Jal Mahal is the perfect spot to sit with your loved one and watch a beautiful sunset. As you look across to the palace from the water's edge on your boat ride, try to count the number of stories. There are five in total, but during monsoon season, it often looks like the palace has only a single story, as the lower four levels are submerged beneath the water's surface. 4. The Perfect Mix Of Luxury And Culture: Nestled amidst the majestic Aravalli hills, with 245 rooms and suites elegantly appointed. Fairmont Jaipur is an ode to the pink city. With its awe-inspiring architecture and decor, inspired by the Mughal dynasty and Royal Rajput's of yore it reflects a perfect blend of traditional Rajasthani décor and modern amenities. The hotel takes each guest on an opulent journey through large verdant gardens, elegant lobby and beautifully designed rooms. It is a perfect location to spend a day at the luxury spa or have the royal wedding of your dream. It offers a scenic luxury getaway for the discerning traveller. Book your rooms here. 5. Relish Local Cuisine In Luxury: When in Jaipur, one can't miss out on authentic Rajasthani cuisine. We are talking about laal mass, atta raab, nalli nihari, and well, the options are endless. The authentic flavours of Rajasthan come to life at a restaurant called Zarin. This quaint and classy eatery at Fairmont Jaipur is the perfect blend of luxury and culture. With experienced chefs, local flavours and Insta-worthy interiors, Zarin should be on every tourists list! In addition to these 5 pink city must-dos, there's lots more that Jaipur offers. All that's left is for you to pack your bags and let the adventure begin!
  2. Nothing is too difficult or unachievable when you set your heart to it and every other day, someone or the other proves this right with their inspiring stories. In today's edition, we'll talk about the inspiring story of Brijmohan Meena, a gardener's son from Jaipur who cracked this year's UPSC exam. Before the UPSC results were out, people would rarely notice Murlidhar Meena. For most people, he was a man quietly watering plants at the BJP headquarters in Jaipur. But today, people know him as Brijmohan's father and are congratulating him for his younger son's achievement. Pexels This was Brijmohan's second attempt wherein he got the 713 rank, but he says that he will appear for the exam next year again and try to improve his rank. Brijmohan said, "I wanted to become an engineer but my father and brother coaxed me to sit for the UPSC exam. I am grateful to my family for their support." He added, "My parents have made a lot of sacrifices for us. Though we were not rich, my father never denied us anything. He struggled to give us the best he could. I want to make my father and my family proud and happy." According to a report in Hindustan Times, 57-year-old Meena who studied up to class 5, is employed as a gardener in the PWD department and says that it was a dream to watch his kids become IAS or IPS officers. He said, "I was posted at the secretariat, the state legislative assembly and other government offices during my tenure. I used to see all the officers and I realised that if I could give a good education to my sons, they too could become officers." Twitter Brijmohan has cleared UPSC and his elder brother is a senior auditor in the Accountant General's office in Goa. Meena takes immense pride in his job as a gardener and says that he will continue doing his job, "I will continue to work. One should not give up working. I don't want to be a burden on my sons. Gardening is my passion. Even after I retire, I will continue to do something." When I call Brijmohan a gardener's son, I am in no way trying to demean him or his father. But, the point I am trying to make here is that when most of us are busy looking for an excuse for not being able to achieve our dreams, there's someone somewhere achieving their dreams despite having limited resources. Brijmohan and his father are two such inspiring people.
  3. When it comes to royal Indian fashion, the first name that comes to our mind is that of Padmanabh Singh, the Maharaja of Jaipur. Also known as 'Pacho', the 20-year-old King has been making quite an impact in the international fashion arena. Right from setting the ramps of Milan on fire, to being the fiercest royal fashionista, he is the epitome of royal elegance. He recently posted pictures of the Holika Dahan that took place at the City Palace, Jaipur, and he looks straight out of an opulent Bhansali flick in them. Take a look. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur We are in love with the ivory sherwani paired with the silk white churidar, along with the royal safa accentuated with a red Bandhani dupatta. Also, the golden buttons and brooch, along with the bejewelled purple sword-sheath, are perfection. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur His outfit, honestly, is a reflection of the inimitable grandeur that the Indian royalty is all about. The splendour of the palace, in all its sheer luxuriousness, is perfectly mirrored in the way the Maharaja has clothed himself. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur The huge fire of Holika Dahan, along with the royal fireworks, is a reminder of the glory that pervaded all throughout India once upon a time. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur All we can say is, nothing can match the magnificence of these rituals, and the clothing that were a part and parcel of the proceedings.
  4. Even though Bollywood takes the cake in terms of fashion and glamour, the hidden gems (pun intended) are often found in the midst of the royalty. One such gem is the 'Maharaja of Jaipur', Padmanabh Singh. The young king, well-known as 'Pacho', is all of 20, but can effortlessly give the whole of Bollywood a run for its money when it comes to being a hardcore fashionista. From walking the ramps in Milan to being the cover star in the biggest fashion magazines to chilling with fashion stalwarts like Giorgio Armani, he does it all like it's no big deal (which for him, it's not, let's face it). He is also an avid Polo player and takes an interest in sports. Here are 10 pictures of him that prove that no one can come close when it comes to being a royal fashionista in the truest sense of the phrase. 1. There is a distinct old world charm about how he carries off a simple white outfit. Talk about being a fashionable rider! That slick black plus that suit - it reminds us of the glorious '50s. (c) Behance 3. No one wears a tux anymore like the way it's meant to be worn, barring Pacho, of course. After Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot in a beautiful and lavish ceremony in Rajasthan, another star-studded wedding journey has begun. 6. Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, otherwise known as controversy's favourite child, has recently been back in the news, for what can be considered as a strange mix of the good and the bad. Post getting banned from Indian cricket nearly five years ago, due to spot-fixing allegations leveled against him in IPL 2013, Sreesanth has since tried to salvage what little remained of his fame to carve out an alternate career for himself. From dancing his way to limelight in 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa', to trying his luck in movies, he has done it all. More recently he has been in the news for acting like a spoilt brat (or spoilsport) on reality TV show 'Bigg Boss' season 12. His behaviour on the show has been a talking point for fellow inmates and viewers alike, most of whom seem to be miffed with the former cricket. However, none of the aforementioned reasons bring us to this story. Why we're here is to talk about Sreesanth's quest for true love, wherein he went on to date 6 different actresses before finally finding love with real-life Jaipur princess Bhuvaneshwari Kumari - that something which hasn't been talked about enough. 1. Shriya Saran © Instagram It was back in 2008 when rumours began doing the rounds that Shriya and Sreesanth were a thing, after their appearance at a fashion show in Mumbai. Post the show both of them were spotted having dinner in each other's company, and apparently also left in the same car after dinner, which sent more sparks flying everywhere. However, Shriya had released a statement denying the affair in which she said, "I am acting in a movie directed by Deepa Mehta. I am preparing myself for it. There is no place for romance in my life now. I am committed to acting. I have not met Sreesanth before and never spoken to him." 2. Riya Sen © Instagram Sreesanth's relationship with Riya Sen attracted quite a few eyeballs and gave the paparazzi enough meat to keep pursuing the story further. After her break-up with cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Riya had come across Sreesanth at a page three party, and the two instantly hit it off. She was soon seen on the VIP stands supporting Sreesanth during his matches. Their affair went on for about a year, and during that time tabloids even reported that marriage might be on the cards for the duo. However, that never came to pass. She later posted a tweet slamming reports about their relationship. "Guys please! I am not dating shreesanth! I just attended 3 matches for kochi and that's that! It was work! So ... Rest ur imaginations ... (sic)," Riya had tweeted in April 2011. 3. Shazahn Padamsee © Instagram Same year in 2011, Sreesanth was seen going for a drive after a match with the then new girl on the block, Shazahn. When things began to blow up both of them came forward to clear the air around their relationship. While Shazahn called Sreesanth “sweet” and admitted to going on a drive with him, she also added that, “We are just good friends. I am single.” Sreesanth was soon to follow suit, and denied the link-up with a tweet that read, “Please stop linking me. I am single and working hard on getting better on my game and I am loving my life.” 4. Minissha Lamba © Instagram Rumours were also rife that Minissha and Sreesanth were spotted cuddling at a film awards function at Macau. HT had also reported some eyewitnesses claiming that the duo were seen sitting at a casino late at night, and were apparently also spotted kissing. This rumour blew strong for a year. 5. Raai Laxmi © Instagram The South Indian actress, Raai Laxmi, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Julie 2' in 2017, was also reportedly in a relationship with the former cricketer. However, when questioned Sreesanth denied the link-up and said that, “I happened to visit Lakshmi Rai on the sets of her Kannada film, and before you knew it, the tabloids called us an item. I have grown up in a progressive city like Bangalore, and I've always found it easier to get along with girls. But, I am single, very ready to mingle.” 6. Surveen Chawla © Instagram The duo met on reality show 'Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena' and rumours were soon to follow. Their budding friendship on the show made tabloids speculate that love was on the cards for the pair. They were frequently spotted in restaurants and dance clubs in Bangalore. However, as per reports, things came to an end in 2009. Finally after so many hits and trials, Sreesanth seemed to have found love with his now wife, Bhuvaneshwari Kumari who happens to be a princess of Jaipur's Shekhawat royal family. They got married in September 2013 in Kerala. The couple have two kids together and are leading a happy married life together. © Instagram Sreesanth has seen many ups and downs in his professional and personal life, but seems to be pulling through it all.

  8. I'm as sick of writing about the 'Kiki Challenge' as people are of reading about it, I'm assuming. But, looks like we still have a few more weeks left to erase the word 'kiki' from our brains forever and we can't do anything but wait. It's okay people, just hold on for some more time. But, since the 'Kiki Challenge' or the 'In My Feelings Challenge' is the biggest internet trend right now, we can't really escape it. But, what we all can agree on is how unsafe it actually is. I mean, who would want to get down from a moving car to profess their love for 'Kiki' who doesn't even seem to care. She's not worth it. With so many broken bones all over the world, even the police had to get involved to prevent people from killing themselves because of their own stupidity. Mumbai Police shared a 'Kiki Challenge' fail to get people to 'dance their way to safety'. Not just a risk for you but your act can put life of others at risk too. But, that's not the worst part; turns out the guy in the picture is very much alive! Imagine people thinking you're dead, especially when the official Twitter account of a police department is saying that. The guy in the ad, Jawahar Subhash Chandra, a 30-year-old Kochi resident, is quite amused at being 'dead' on Twitter. While talking to The News Minute, he said, “I started receiving calls from random people asking me if I was okay and if my family is okay. If I leave my phone for an hour I get about 6-7 missed calls from people, sometimes old friends. Even my parents are getting calls asking if I am okay. The fact that people thought I died even helped me revive a few old friendships.” Before anyone starts pointing any fingers at the police department, it's important to clarify that Chandra had modelled for stock photographs about a decade ago and his picture was purchased by Jaipur Police legally. Well, this is one hell of a story for Jawahar now. “Remember that one time the entire country thought I died after doing the 'Kiki Challenge'?” – What an icebreaker!
  9. Royals are supposed to be fashionable, and we honestly are quite used to it, courtesy Bollywood (well, predominantly the Pataudi lineage). But that's mostly just movies, and the fact that they can afford what they wear. However, when Padmanabh Singh, the 19-year-old prince from Jaipur made his international runway debut in Milan, we had to sit up and take notice, because of a number of reasons. Read on! © Instagram Padmanabh Singh, titular king of the Pink City and son of Princess Divya Kumari and Narendra Singh, made his runway debut on the Dolce & Gabbana ramp at the Men's Spring/Summer '19 in Milan. The fact that he is 19 is not the only thing that's special, he has a number of other achievements under his belt. © Instagram Padmanabh is a seasoned Polo player, and he started playing it at the age of thirteen. He has won a number of awards and trophies for it, including the Indian Open Polo Cup, for which he was the youngest ever winner. He was the captain for the Indian team that played Polo in England for the first time in 60 years, and he also played alongside princes William and Harry. © Instagram Having shot with the most famous fashion photographers, and socializing with the likes of Giorgio Armani at such an early age, Padmabh - also known as Pacho amongst his family and friends, sure knows how to strike a balance between being a royal and being a top-notch fashion model. © Instagram Pacho has studied in the Mayo college during his early days, and is now studying at the prestigious New York University. Notably, he has also made it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list this year. © Instagram Keep going, your Highness! You're doing great.
  10. Last night when the match started taking an obvious turn, all Rajasthan Royals fans seemed to have lost hope. Mumbai Indians kept on taking wickets and the chase got harder. With 33 runs pending from just 11 balls, it seemed like not much was left of this game. However, Krishnappa Gowtham proved that he is no less than Batman himself after he hit two sixes and four fours like no one's business. Fans are convinced that Jaipur needs to be renamed as 'Gowtham City'. Needed 38 off 14 balls .. 5 wkts down .. & my boys win it with 2 balls to spare .. !!!!! So the real mystery about Gowtham wasn't his bowling! #RRvMI — Gaurav Kalra (@gauravkalra75) April 22, 2018 this is what I like most about #IPL : people like Krishnappa Gowtham languishing in the anonymity of domestic cricket for six-seven years... with their India dreams almost over at the age of 30 get a chance to shine on a big stage. must be a huge moment for these guys. #RRvMI — Rohit Pradhan (@Retributions) April 22, 2018 Stunning knock by Gowtham. Who would've thought RR would win?! 4th time Mumbai lose in 20th over this IPL. Rohit has lots to ponder over — Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) April 22, 2018 Also, everyone is feeling a bit sore for the Mumbai Indians who almost won the game. K Gowtham , what a blinder that was. 11. Are you one of those people who shout on their phone “Reaching in 5 minutes”, when you are still taking a shower? If you are the 'late-lateef' of your group, here's how you can turn the tables around! You can now invite everyone for a trip to Jaipur, take all the sweet time in the world to get ready or do whatever before leaving home; and we bet you will still reach way before anyone else does, unless they read this story before you do. Thanks to the Ministry of Railways and their semi-high speed train, the distance between Jaipur and Delhi will soon be reduced to just 90 minutes. Anything or anyone else that can reach faster than this train now, will probably be your food delivery guy. © pexels Reportedly, the ministry is in talks to introduce a train between Delhi and Jaipur that will run at a speed of 200 km per hour. The details of this plan have been, in fact, shared with North Western Railways too. Currently, the rail distance between Jaipur and Delhi is approximately 309 kms and at a speed of 80 to 95 kms/ hour, we can reach our destination within 5 to 7 hours, depending on the number of stops in between. On any given weekday, traveling from Delhi to Gurugram can take up half of your day, with you stuck on the roads for more than 2 and sometimes 3 hours. Imagine, once this train service starts, traveling to Jaipur will be faster than commuting to Gurugram. If this deal goes well, it will take us only 90 minutes to reach. Which means you can easily leave in the morning, gorge on all the delicacies, indulge in some sightseeing and come back to the office and just say that you were stuck in traffic, because you will reach faster than you usually do anyway. Jokes apart, in a report in Times Of India, a senior officer of NWR said, “They have asked us to share the pattern of operation between two stations, pattern of passenger's load, pattern of freight train, their speed and length, feature of the tracks, double or single, infrastructure of the track including bridges, platforms, signaling etc and number of level crossings between Jaipur and Delhi.” © pexels The officer further added, “We are compiling the details which would be sent to them in the next 10 days.” Tarun Jain, chief public relations officer, NWR said, “Some details have been sought from us. Yes, it is a part of rail ministry's initiative to introduce semi-high speed train. A company FS-Italferr will do a feasibility study.” An Italy-based railway engineering company FS-Italferr has been appointed through an MoU to do a feasibility study for the project. Given that an Italian company is in charge, we hope they don't make the train in the shape of the iconic hand gesture they make while appreciating food.
  12. Hrithik Roshan recently bagged the title of the 'World's Most Handsome Actor', beating the likes of Robert Pattinson, Chris Evans, Salman Khan et al. While the world was going gaga over his Greek god-esque looks, Hrithik is here to prove that he is much more than that. No offense to his previous performances, but we all know that the last few years haven't exactly been great for him as an actor. Most of his movies failed to work at the box office, but looks like his upcoming film 'Super 30' is going to compensate for everything. We recently got our first look at Hrithik's role as the ace mathematician Anand Kumar. And the journey begins...#Super30 A post shared by Hrithik Roshan (@hrithikroshan) on Feb 5, 2018 at 10:12pm PST For those who don't know, 'Super 30' is based on the life of Patna-based Mathematician Anand Kumar who is applauded by the world for his 'Super 30' programme wherein he provides coaching to 30 deserving students from the economically backward or weaker sections to crack entrance exams for the Indian Institute of Technology. © Anand_Facebook Although it was clear from the first look itself that Hrithik has undergone a massive transformation for his role, as some even failed to recognise him at the first glance, we got another look at him last week which reinstated the fact. .@iHrithik, is that you? #Super30 pic.twitter.com/mOVXqN08qA — Filmfare (@filmfare) February 15, 2018 But it's the latest photos from the sets of the film that are going viral across the internet and are sure to leave you speechless. After looking at these pictures, we are sure it is going to be one hell of a performance on Hrithik's part.

  14. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the biggest and most famous initiative undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but even after that, not much has changed on that front. The government has put in so much effort in creating awareness about cleanliness, but still the streets of our country reek of dirt and garbage. © TOI The only logical reason I can think of is that most of the citizens just don't care, unfortunately, and there are only a few people who actually take any action to do something about this huge problem. But it can all be solved just a little bit of conscious effort by everyone, and therefore a recent incident that took place in the Jaipur metro can teach us all a thing or two. While travelling by the Jaipur Metro, Sunil Choudhary saw a young boy trying to take out his water bottle when he accidentally dropped his lunchbox, spilling food everywhere. Choudhary then thought that the metro will just remain dirty all day now, with food spreading everywhere. But what the boy did next surprised him. The boy is question – Pranjal Dubey – tore out a page of his notebook and started cleaning up the mess he accidentally made in the train. After that, he took out his handkerchief and cleaned the floor as well as he could. Sharing this story on Facebook, Choudhary wrote, “It was time for me to get down, but I thanked him for all his efforts and thought that the nation doesn't need to spend crores on seminars for Swachh Bharat, but youngsters, who pledge to keep their country green and clean, just like Dubey.” The lesson we all can learn is that one small gesture can start to bring about change and we all need to take the initiative.
  15. Unless you were living under a rock or just crawled out from a mystical cave, where the Internet is still a farfetched dream, then you'd know there are only two things that are popular in India right now. First is Cricket and the second is memes. And what happens when the two meet and become one? Together they break the internet and off late our Police departments seem to be taking a fancy to this particular notion. While, we struggle with those 140 characters to get more likes and retweets, cops are slaying it on the social media with their spot on sarcasm. Earlier, we have seen Mumbai and Bengaluru Police show off their social media skills by putting memes to good use. From ‘Games of Thrones' to ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S', none were spared when it came to explaining the importance of road safety. This time around it was the Jaipur traffic police, who left netizens in splits with their witty and hilarious response. © Reuters Using the picture of cricketer Jasprit Bumrah, the Jaipur traffic police tried to explain how crossing the line can become a costly affair for all. To be honest, after this meme we don't think we can see Bumrah's bowling in the same light again. We have to give it to the genius who came up with the idea of connecting Bumrah delivering a no ball in the ICC Champion's trophy final to a Zebra crossing. More than the picture, it was the caption that bowled us over. लाल बत्ती पर गाड़ी ज़ेबरा क्रॉसिंग से पीछें रखें।पैदल यात्रियों की सुरक्षा का ध्यान रखें । pic.twitter.com/pT4axf3K1I — Traffic Police JPR (@traffic_jpr) June 20, 2017 The folks on Twitter were visibly impressed by the cleverness of the Jaipur Traffic police, and lauded them for using such innovative ways to spread awareness about road safety. However, there was one smart a** who could not stop himself from noticing the irony. So he took this opportunity to pull the cops' legs for not following the rules themselves. Guess the city (10 marks) pic.twitter.com/tenlt6frDy — gab.ai/villageidiot (@ViIlageldiot) June 20, 2017 Maybe next time, the cops can work a little more sincerely towards following the rules they preach. However, as far as the tweet is concerned, it is hilarious AF and possibly one of the best and most witty tweets so far.
  16. After delivering back to back superhits like ‘Swag Wali Topi’, and ‘Daaru’, India’s favourite rockstar Dhinchak Pooja recently rolled out her latest song ‘Selfie Maine Leli Aaj’ and we can’t keep calm anymore. It has only been a week and this melodious song has already taken its toll on 6 million people. We bet Taher Shah and Pen-Pineapple guy, will be breaking things apart right now seeing how Dhinchak Pooja is taking away all the limelight away. And we can clearly feel them because the former had some music sense. © Facebook Party Fiesta While people were dancing on the tunes of ‘Selfie Maine Leli Aaj’, a certain Facebook page stirred people’s impatient hearts to the limit where it got difficult for us to breathe. That page was for Dhinchak Pooja’s live concert that was apparently going to happen in Jaipur on May 27. For those active on the social media, you must have come across this page for sure and would have realized that it’s fake. © Facebook However, some ignorant fans have already lost their sh*t and the attendance has now reached over 2000 while 4.6k people have shown interest in the event. The price of the concert was fixed at Rs. 7500. Well, given the amount of love we have for this YouTube sensation, we wouldn’t mind shelling out this much right? Well, people couldn’t help but share their excitement. Wat a wonderful day to be alive😊 pic.twitter.com/SiJGSQtuqk — Queen of WinterHell (@QweenOfHells) May 25, 2017 Hi @DhinchakPooja, can you please tell me the procedure to book tickets for your live concert in Mumbai?? — पंडित शशांक खान ~ (@LifeKiKLPD) May 25, 2017 Mumbai will be on high alert on 27 may 2017 . #BeSafe pic.twitter.com/cJx6WiBo2q — Hunटरर ♂ (@nickhunterr) May 25, 2017 @nickhunterr it doesnt worry me that she is performing live in a mall what worry me more is 3000 people are interested going there. — SinglEngineer (@sarcasticsachin) May 25, 2017 Well, we have the same question. Who are those 3000 people who are going to Dhinchak Pooja’s concert? Having said that, this concert isn’t really happening, yeah and we know this because like fools we tried to books tickets and this is what happened. But you can still tag your friends and ask them if they were a part of that group that was planning to go and cheer for her at the front.
  17. Last year, Chetanya Golechha, Mrigank Gujjar and Utsav Jain were just some kids with an idea, but today they have brought their brilliant idea to life with a funding of Rs 3 crore for their start-up 'Infusion Beverages.' The class X students from Jaipur first presented their idea in an entrepreneurship fest of their school in April last year. "Our presentation of the product failed to impress the judges in the fest. We were kicked out in the first round. Though we were out of the competition in the first hour but got the order of delivering 150 flavoured water bottles," said Golechha. © Facebook The trio didn’t let this minor setback faze them; they grabbed this opportunity and came through by delivering those 150 bottles. The thing that sets their idea apart is they make flavoured water without adding any preservatives. "We carried out intense research on Google to prepare a healthy drink without sugar and soda. But soon we realized that turning an idea into reality is not easy when you are a minor. Procuring the licence, necessary permissions from the food department and approval from FSSAI, are like Herculean tasks. As we were minors our parents sought the permission on our behalf," said Gujjar, who is preparing for his Class X optional board exam. © Facebook The major breakthrough for them came when they participated in the entrepreneurship competitions at IIT-Kanpur and IIM-Indore, in an attempt to refine their idea, and ended up receiving a lot of appreciation. Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) decided to incubate their idea and even helped them in applying for patent, which is in advanced stage. Through business to business mode, by January of this year they managed to sell over 8,000 bottles of water, with flavours ranging from kewra, rose to bel. © Facebook But this was just the start. In the same month, an investor called them to Indore for a meeting in January. "The meeting was successful in the first hour. They decided to fund Rs 3 crore. Under the agreement, we have the responsibility of marketing and research. The plant will be based in Indore," said Jain. © Facebook On talking about starting off in the business world so early, they had the perfect response. "Our dreams our big and we have to start early to achieve them. I don't like people who sit idle till they complete their graduation or post-graduation. This early start will keep us ahead of everyone," said Golechha. Well said! Well, we wish them all the best for their business endeavours!
  18. Going on a long drive in a city like Delhi is a distant dream. Swanky cars, good music, everything becomes a dampener when traffic comes into the scene. Jaipur is a favoured destination when it comes to a day picnic scene, impromptu weekend getaway plans and a long drive because it is near to the state. However, your long drive experience is going to be charged up because an upcoming expressway from Gurugram to Jaipur will cover the distance in mere 90 minutes! © Twitter According to highways minister, Nitin Gadkari, the work will start on this expressway very soon. "We will revise the maximum speed limit. The proposed expressway will take off from the outskirts of Gurgaon and join Jaipur Ring Road (on the outer periphery of the city). We expect this total stretch to be around 200 km. Since it will be access controlled, one can maintain high speed all along the expressway”. © Twitter The expressway will allow cars to drive at around a speed of 13-140 kmph. So if you have a jeep or a BMW itching to catch speed on the road, then hold on. It’s about to happen.
  19. Out of the Kardash-Jenner clan, if there is one queen bae out there who is kinda still non photoshopped and retouched a million times, then it’s the carnally beautiful Kendall. during A photo posted by Kendall (@kendalljenner) on Dec 1, 2016 at 8:59am PST She is a runway and a fashion model and boy, does she make us sweaty in the winters too! So the gorgeous girl was in India and nobody even got a hint of that. She was in Jaipur at a palace for a fashion shoot. Her visit was a quick, hush-hush affair and was under the wraps. However, paparazzi did eventually catch a glimpse of her. © BCCL However, the cherry on the cake is that our home boy Sushant Singh Rajput was a part of it and was snapped at the Jaipur airport. © BCCL Looks like this is going to be a sexy shoot and we can’t wait for the pictures to show up already.
  20. If you are still not over the hot Pakistani Chaiwala who broke the internet with just one picture and even got himself a modeling contract, here’s another Chaiwala from India who will make you feel jealous AF. Rajkumar sells tea outside Jaipur’s Udyog Bhawan, and he got the shock of his life when the IT department officials pulled him up for interrogation after his bank account was credited with a whopping Rs. 4.8 crore (according to an India Today report). It’s like the Pakistani Chaiwala got the modeling contracts and everything, but this Indian Chaiwala got the payment and proved who the boss is! While most of our accounts still show Rs. 4,500 which we sadly can’t even take out at the moment, this poor man had no idea how much he had in his account. © Twitter He was grilled for nearly five hours with officials accusing him of converting black money into white and demanded an explanation from him regarding the source. As expected, the tea vendor was shocked and had no idea where the money was credited from. After hours of harassment and questioning, it was later found that he did not convert any black money, instead there was a problem with the bank entry. WTF! When he was taken to the bank, the manager verified the record and found that only Rs. 3 crore 32 lakh was deposited in the bank. This mistake was made by the Bank of Baroda! © Twitter Apparently, Rajkumar deposited 48 notes of Rs. 1000 and one of the employees goofed up by entering a wrong amount. We are sure the guy must be fuming over the huge mistake the bank officials made. OP Tripathi, the bank’s manager said that “it was a manual error and might have happened due to increased work load.” This error was later rectified with Rs. 4 crore 80 lakh converted into Rs. 48,000. Post currency Demonetization, when we can barely get our hands on our own money, such errors are more painful to the ear than the sound of jingling coins in our wallets. Well, we have got to say that the second half of 2016 was totally owned by chaiwalas. Source: India Today
