  1. They say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Since fashion is subjective, we don't expect everyone to understand every trend. But when companies create bizarre products that are listed for ridiculous prices, we can't help but be shocked. Gucci's Cruise '19 collection features a pair of 'vintage distressed sneakers' that have us shook. The shoes look pre-dirty and worn and we're just not sure who would actually want to own a pair. Take a look at these babies. © Gucci © Gucci The product detail on the website lists that the shoes are inspired by vintage sportswear patterns from the 70s and is treated for an 'all-over distressed effect'. We don't know about distress but these just look plain dirty and worn out. They look a little too vintage, if you ask us. © Gucci If you're already frowning over the bizarre product, wait till we mention the price of these kicks. The Screener GG Sneaker is retailed at 870 USD which converts to Rs 61,938. That's pretty damn expensive for a pair of old worn-out looking shoes. © Gucci As if the Gucci 'racist' sweater controversy hadn't stirred enough trouble for the brand, this shoe is getting trolled by the internet too. Take a look at what some Twitter users had to say about this product. Gucci is really out here selling the sneakers your mom uses for gardening and Sunday cleaning for $800 pic.twitter.com/Eh5wEBQMSc — camille (@cxmillexxxx) October 30, 2018 The poor try to look rich and the rich try to look poor! ð — BROOKLYNBREAD (@Rinseyjones) November 7, 2018 When ur born rich a f but don't wanna be a called a snobby daddy's boy at school = Gucci's New Vintage Sportswear-Inspired Dirty Sneakers Cost $870 USD #gucci #guccifromthehood https://t.co/ektXQtoKIl — Nadia. K (@nadiakhairinas) November 7, 2018 After the Croc Bag, we weren't ready for another bizarre shoe just yet. On the brighter side, you wouldn't have to wash these sneakers.
  2. Condoms while the most popular and justifiably reliable contraceptive method doesn't work for everyone. From latex allergies to excessive friction to just the curiosity of exploring a new method of contraception are all justified reasons to look for alternatives. Here is a curated list of possible alternatives that you could explore with your partner. 1. Combined Oral Contraceptive © Getty Images The pills primarily made for women are a combination of two hormones: estrogen and progesterone. These are taken for three weeks out of every four either as a daily tablet or less frequently in the form of a patch every week or vaginal ring every three weeks. This method is over 99% effective (less than 1 woman out of every 100 will get pregnant each year when using it correctly). It works by preventing the release of an egg, thickening the cervical mucus to stop sperm getting through and thinning the lining of the womb to prevent an egg implanting and growing. However, it's important to note that there is a very small risk of developing a blood clot (deep vein thrombosis), having a stroke or a heart attack, getting breast or cervical cancer while on the pill. For most women, the risks are far outweighed by the benefits of being on the pill but it is strongly advised to get on the pill after consulting a gynaecologist 2. Progesterone Only Pill (The Mini-Pill) © Getty Images Again for women, the pill contains only one hormone, progesterone (no oestrogen), and is taken every day without break and has to be taken within same 3-hour window each day without a break. Women may experience their periods to be irregular and unpredictable or they may even stop entirely. The pill is 99% effective, if used correctly however, even with lesser health risks there are chances of developing ovarian cysts. 3. Caps/ Diaphragms © Getty Images A flexible latex/ silicone device used with a spermicide gel to cover the cervix and prevent sperm from entering. One of the advantages include that It's a chemical-free alternative to hormone-based contraceptive methods, so there are no side effects or health risks at all. However, It can be messy and needs to be left in place for at least six hours for it to be 92 - 96% effective. 4. Fertility Awareness Apps And Devices © Getty Images Fertility awareness apps are based on modern algorithms and your smartphone to predict the woman's vaginal temperature, period and ovulation to work out when she's fertile but it's like one of the earliest forms of birth control - fertility awareness and 'natural' planning. It's a tiny window of a few days, but if you get the estimates wrong it can result in pregnancy. However, if used entirely correctly, the app can be as effective as the pill. However, it's advisable to combine it with protection to be on the safer side. 5. Female Condoms © Getty Images If you can get the instructions right, and use this preventive well, it can have 79-95% effectiveness. It's a pretty unpopular method because of less demand which is mostly because people don't know about them. However, there is no reason why it wouldn't work just as effectively. ' 6. Depo Shots © Getty Images A dose of progesterone given by injection to women every 12 weeks. A great contraceptive, however, the side effects include weight gain for women and also it takes about a year to be fertile again for the woman after ceasing to continue this method. It is extremely effective and less than four women per thousand will become pregnant every two years when using this method. However, It's not ideal for long term use as can have a thinning effect on the bones. 7. Nexplanon Implant © Getty Images This contraceptive is a matchstick-sized flexible rod placed under the skin of a woman's arm which releases progesterone. This works for 3 years straight by preventing ovulation, thickening cervical mucus and thinning the womb lining. Periods may stop altogether for women or may become less frequent and lighter. Sometimes the pill is given (if suitable) in the first few months in addition to the implant to settle down bleeding. Common side effects may include headaches, mood swings, spots and breast tenderness but often improve after the first few months. However, with minimal side-effects, this is the most effective method available for women with less than 1 per thousand will become pregnant in a 3 year period and the best part is that the changes are reversible immediately on removal of the implant. 8. Copper IUD / Coil © Getty Images This is a small plastic T-shaped copper device which is placed inside the womb. Copper has properties that kill the sperm hence preventing fertilisation and implantation of eggs. This has no effect on ovulation so should not change the natural hormonal cycle. It's popular with women who need effective contraceptive, but do not want or cannot have hormones. However, it will usually make mensuration bleeding heavier, more painful and often prolonged. It is over 99% effective if placed properly and can also last for up to 10 years depending on the exact device used. 9. Mirena IUS © Getty Images Again, a small plastic T-shaped device which is placed inside the womb and releases progesterone over a period of 5 years. Although this contains a hormone, It has a suppressive effect on the womb lining and thereby reduces or even stops periods, making it a good choice for those with heavy painful periods and is actually used for that reason even in women who do not need contraception. Over 99% effective and fertility returns immediately on removal of the IUS. 10. Jaydess © Getty Images A relatively new contraceptive, the smaller 'hormone coil' contains only about a quarter of the hormone dose of the Mirena and lasts for 3 years. It is even easier to fit into smaller wombs and may be more suitable for younger women who have not had children or for those who want an even lesser amount of hormone in their bodies. 9/10 women will continue to have their periods with this method although they are likely to be lighter and again, there may be initial spotting or irregular bleeding. It is more than 99% effective. 11. Sponges © Getty Images The sponge comes with added spermicide that helps prevent pregnancy. They're a single use option, and cannot be worn for more than 30 hours at a time just like a condom however obviously they last for longer. The spermicide slows down the sperm and stops them from heading towards the egg, and the sponge itself covers your cervix, to block them if they do get there. They are easy to use: you just have to wet the sponge to activate the spermicide, and then the woman can insert it, as far up as you find comfortable. These also need to be left in your vagina for at least six hours after having ***, so you have to remember to include this in your 30-hour calculation. However, there's no STI protection, and it can't be used while the woman is on her period. 12. The Patch © Getty Images With effectiveness over 91-99%, the patch is very similar to an implant, it works effectively because it can be stuck on the arm of the woman and forgotten about. It contains small amounts of hormones that get into the system. But if it falls off, its effectiveness is reduced. 13. Male Sterilisation Or Vasectomy © Getty Images Vasectomy is a surgical procedure for male sterilization and permanent contraception. During this procedure, the male vas deferens are cut and tied or sealed so as to prevent sperm from entering into the urethra and thereby prevent fertilization of a female through sexual intercourse. it can be considered a permanent procedure. PSA: It is important to keep in mind that unlike condoms a lot of these won't save you from sexually transmitted diseases.
  3. Vicky Kaushal is the starboy that Bollywood deserves right now and he is shining brightly following the phenomenal success of 'Uri', which has catapulted him to the league of A-listers in B-town. The actor has already proved his mettle and won the hearts of all the fans. View this post on Instagram ð¬+ð¤¦ð¼‍âï¸= âð½ A post shared by Vicky Kaushal (@vickykaushal09) on Feb 12, 2019 at 5:40am PST Vicky had to undergo his fair share of struggles before making it big in Bollywood. He started his journey by assisting Anurag Kashyap on 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' and worked his way up until people believed that the guy could really act. Not many are aware that Vicky is the son of one of the most famous stunt directors in Bollywood, Shyam Kaushal, but that did not necessarily spell out success for him. His journey has been his personal struggle. In a recent interview, Vicky was asked to read and comment on some of the remarks made by people on social media. While there were many compliments for him, some were plain harsh words. One comment read as follows “He doesn't have hero face...a common punjabi ladka yes but he has filmy background bas utna hi kaafi hai aaj bollywood me." Vicky had a very thoughtful reply to it and said “Okay, so apart from the last line, 'utna hi kaafi hai Bollywood mein,' I think there's nothing wrong in what he said. I don't have a filmy face or a hero face." However, Vicky was not okay with being accused of nepotism and was quick to react to that statement with a justified answer. "Sir, you are most welcome in Bollywood and try and survive a week and we will have a cup of coffee together and I will ask you the same question," he said. 5. 2018 legit belonged to Ayushmann Khurrana in terms of critical as well as commercial success. His younger brother, Aparshakti, also is just as talented and is slowly but steadily carving his own niche in Bollywood as well, which is purely performance oriented - something both the brothers are pros at. When it comes to fashion as well, they are the most stylish siblings around, who are not afraid to experiment with unusual silhouettes and colour palettes. They just proved it yet again at the Filmfare Glamour And Style Awards by wearing shoes that are legit the most glittery and sparkly shoes we have ever seen. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Just look at them! While Ayushmann wore a bejewelled pair in teal, Aparshakti stunned with a pair of charcoal grey shoes that has the sparkle of a rhinestone studded surface. Let's just say these babies shined brighter than their performances combined! © Viral Bhayani When it comes to their outfits as well, they didn't hold back. Ayushmann dazzled in a silver striped Amit Aggarwal creation, while Aparshakti kept it classy with a Shantanu and Nikhil ensemble. © Instagram/ishabhansali © Instagram/aparshakti_khurana Now, that is what you call a 'well-rounded performance'. Well done, bros!
  6. Navigating relationships is easy or tough depending solely on whom you ask. Relationships are complicated and need two people to find their functional settings. Often in relationships, there are 'Red Flags' that we ignore due to some misplaced insecurity often resulting in people being falsely content in mediocre relationships. While accepting people and their flaws is generally a good thing, there are cases when it may be apt to cut ties and severe any prospects of a future together. © Reaiance Entertainment Here are a couple of red flags to look out for and generally how to keep an eye out for the future. Red Flags To Ignore This could be something quite pedantic like she doesn't like to drink too much, isn't a big fan of red meat, likes only strawberry ice cream, drinks tea not coffee etc. In any relationship, there must be a compromise, as these small quirks are mostly cute harmless inconsistencies from your own worldview and can be easily ignored for the rest of your days. If you can spend 90% of your time happy around this person, I'd say you're luckier than 50% of the world that gets divorced. Let the small things slide, in time you will learn to love them even. © Eros International Medium Or Average Red Flags The tough stuff now: Your partner may not be into the same shows or movies etc. This may not be so bad but could get annoying in the long run. As long as both people in the relationship are open to discussion and new experiences – media consumption shouldn't be that big a factor. However, if the majority of your conversations are mitigated only by the sound of silence - that type of stuff is what can be considered a pretty big red flag. Consequently, if someone is TOO into you, it could also mean a possible alert. It's not bad to have someone put you on a pedestal but then the expectations also rise proportionately. A lot of this is also down to your own ego and ability to communicate effectively. Still always best to know what you want, before hurting someone else. © Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Major Red Flags The final one: The thing about red flags is that they often appear in other parts of our lives and we mistakenly miss the ones we ought not to have. If they're abusive (verbal or otherwise) or if they're mean to the service staff. Generally speaking, if they're mean to everyone below their own station in life, it may not take very long for you to be treated in a similar vein as well. © Eros International If they're too secretive about their dealings, or their past, but constantly on their phone. Having a disingenuous partner can only cause grief and turmoil in the long run. If they have no other hobbies and interests, if they want to go out and socialize constantly, if they lack any semblance of ambition and only want constant satiation in some form – I would consider such behaviour possible major red flags. Yes, granted that a lot of this is stuff is down to personal preference and choice but the point is - in a relationship we should all aspire to be akin to partners, not hostages. © Fox Star Studios Many of us ignore many such red flags and signs that our friends and loved ones try to point out about a current flame. Sometimes jumping from one relationship and partner to the next may not be the thing to do. Don't be petty and only look for someone's flaws but it is important to recognise these said flaws and acknowledge their effect on your time together. Mostly, people just want to love and be loved. This, however, can be done without compromise and coercion. We give in to the pressures of family, society and partners knowing full well it's not what we want. Thus it is important to figure out how much space, how much energy and time we can devote to our relationships. Sometimes, you might be the red flag yourself. In any case, it's not something to lose sleep over. Acknowledging your own behaviour and patterns might be the first step to being a well-rounded person and a key to havingbetter relationships.
  7. Want to know what's worse than an already weird pair of crocs? Turning a croc shoe into a bag! Nope, we're not even kidding. This is not a good start to 2019, fashion-wise. Already a much frowned upon sandal label and a big no-no when it comes to style, crocs have taken their shoe game to a whole other level of just plain weird. Croc's new collaboration with a streetwear label Pizzaslice has resulted in the birth of satan's prodigy itself, the crocs cross-body bag. Have a look without making a what-the-hell-is-that-thing face. © instagram/@pizzaslime © instagram/@pizzaslime The bag itself is a literal croc (one shoe, not a pair) of the label's infamous design with a polyester zipper pouch for storage where the sole usually is. There's also a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap attached to each end of the shoe which makes it a cross between a fanny pack and a cross-body sling. Either way, its absurd. © store.pizzaslime.com Apparently fashion loves the croc shoe. We don't , but that's a whole other story. First there were the Christopher Kane stone embellished crocs, then the Balenciaga platform crocs and now this. © store.pizzaslime.com © store.pizzaslime.com The bag (or shoe? we're still confused) is handmade in Los Angeles and comes with 7 detachable and customizable charms. It is available in two colours, black and yellow. © store.pizzaslime.com If anyone wants one of these, as a collectible or as an accessory, they would have to fight hard for it. It's a unisex accessory and the brand is just making 25 units of these (talk about a limited edition accessory) with each one being retailed at 300$ which is around Rs. 21350 only. © instagram/@pizzaslime Here goes another attempt by Crocs to make this infamous rubber shoe cool again, if it was ever one to begin with. You're still fashion's evil foe, Croc. Maybe 2019 is finally your year.
  8. It's really cold right now, a little too cold for February, all thanks to the heavy rains and hailstorm. But, it's still not something people living in North India can't handle. After all, isn't Delhi famous for getting to experience all the seasons? Yep, and that's one of the points brought up in the age-old Mumbai vs Delhi debate, that will honestly never die down. Recently, Mumbai has also been experiencing chilly winds, with a lot of people considering yesterday to be the coldest day of the season. People from Mumbai took to Twitter to basically talk about how cold it's getting but obviously, Delhi folks came out to tell them something important - 25 degrees is not cold. The weather debate along with the Mumbai vs Delhi debate is never going to end, so let's just enjoy the rivalry and look at some hilarious tweets about it. #mumbaiweather pic.twitter.com/WunchtW8po — Sayli (@Saylee789) February 8, 2019 It can't be that cold, honestly. 9. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's social media war may be the best thing online, and I'm not even exaggerating. Both of them are brilliant actors who keep us entertained on-screen but their off-screen antics are what honestly makes them trolling goals/friendship goals. We all know a healthy friendship consists of constant roasting and they both have it covered. But, after so many Twitter 'feuds', they decided to call a truce. But it's Ryan and Hugh so obviously, things didn't go exactly as planned. (or, did it go perfectly?) So basically, they decided to call a truce and end their social media war by doing something nice for one another - making an ad for each other's company. Ryan Reynolds has Aviation Gin and he doesn't let go of any chance at promoting it and Hugh has Laughing Man Coffee. Seems perfect, right? Having your super famous friends promote your product? What can go wrong? Well, a lot, apparently. © YouTube Ryan went first in showing his ad for Laughing Man Coffee and kept his part of the deal. I mean, he nailed it and the million dollars he spent on it was worth it. With so many puns on Hugh's name, there just cannot be a better ad for Hugh Jackman's company. I'm just surprised Ryan didn't take this opportunity to get revenge about the sweater prank from Christmas. But oops, Ryan's commercial was so good that now Hugh did not want to show his own ad for Aviation Gin. Any guesses why? Turns out he never expected his friend to actually pass up the chance to troll him on such a big level, so Hugh came prepared for anything and everything that Ryan could throw his way, but a great, professional-looking expensive ad wasn't it. I'm sorry Ryan, I love you, but Hugh won this round by a landslide. Your ad was good but Hugh Jackman killed it! Most of the time, it's Ryan doing all the trolling but now, I feel like the score has evened out. And, Ryan's face at the end is priceless. I have watched this video over 10 times and I'm honestly still not over it, Ryan's face kills me every time. Here's the entire video- (Yes, we all know it was planned all along but we can pretend it's real and how Hugh Jackman trolled the hell out of Ryan Reynolds, thanks.) A buddy cop movie, please! Holy ****! We don't deserve these guys. Please please please make a wolverine, dead pool movie. Or just a Ryan and Hugh buddy cop movie. Haha — Patrick O'Donnell (@PunkBobNoPants) February 6, 2019 We need it now! When @RealHughJackman poured the gin out on his table that was the incing on the cake for me. LOL These guys need to do another movie together. — Blake (@FresnoFCBlake) February 6, 2019 Literally what happened. pic.twitter.com/XKyCpLnD90 — UNNIKRISHNAN (@Unni_S_NaiR) February 6, 2019 The meme has come full circle. Right!!? — Aviation American Gin (@AviationGin) February 6, 2019 Finally. Joke's on Deadpool for once ððpic.twitter.com/oFNTCRY2vJ — Trudy (@trudyhp) February 6, 2019 Goals! Love the @VancityReynolds @RealHughJackman friendship. I mean one has a gin brand and the other a coffee brand. Match made in heaven! One helps you get drunk in the night, the other helps with the hangover in the morning. #FriendshipGoals — Tanvi Modi (@TanviModi) February 6, 2019
  10. Actress Nora Fatehi has managed to steal our hearts in a short span of time and jived right into our lives with 'Dilbar' and 'Naah', two of the hottest dance numbers this season, thanks to her brilliant dancing skills and sheer beauty (okay, yeah, the music was obviously great). The actress has been signed on for the next sequel in line for the 'ABCD' movies which stars Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor as well. 11. Henry Cavill, arguably, is the best 'Superman' we've had till now. His 'out of the world' good looks and solid acting chops help, but the cherry on the cake is his super-jacked physique, and the fact that he knows exactly how to show it off - fashionably so. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Henry Cavill (@henrycavill) on Dec 21, 2018 at 4:17pm PST It's understandable though, that most lifters look jacked in the gym anyway, but what about when they are in a tux? Look at that bicep pump! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Henry Cavill (@henrycavill) on Sep 5, 2018 at 3:33pm PDT He legit pulled out all the stops when he posed right next to a life sized Superman statue with massive muscles (obviously, duh), and looked more buff than that! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Henry Cavill (@henrycavill) on Feb 3, 2019 at 8:53am PST Look at those traps, shoulders, biceps, and triceps! How much is the dude lifting in the gym and what is he eating? Now we don't know whether it's his choice of outfit (a tank top for gun show - classic), or the fact that he's a legit beast in the gym that's helping him do that - but all we can say is: Bravo!
  12. If you're spending a shit ton of money on an expensive car, you probably won't shell anything more for that car, right? Wrong. KS Balagopal, a businessman from Kerala first spent a lot of money - more than one crore - to buy an imported blue Porsche 718 Boxter. Then, on top of that, he spent almost one-third of that amount to just win a fancy registration number. He bid on the number he wanted in an open auction held at the transport office in Thiruvananthapuram and then managed to win the number KL-01CK-1 after spending Rs 31 lakh for it. Am I the only one who can't figure out what's so special about the number? Twitter Reportedly, the last round of auction only had three contenders and started with a bid of just Rs 500. Wait, what? How did it end up in lakhs, let alone 31 lakh? One of the contenders, a Dubai-based NRI, decided to quit after the bid crossed Rs 10 lakh and the second one was willing to shell out Rs 25.50 lakh but when Balagopal brought up the bid to Rs 30 lakh, he also quit. On top of that, it also cost him about Rs 1 lakh to register the number as well. Well, he spent a lot of money but at least he also made a record in the process. According to the regional transport authority, this is now the highest bid for a fancy number in the country. Twitter Turns out, this is not even the first time he's spent way too much for a number. Back in 2017, he paid Rs 19 lakh for his Toyota Land Cruiser to get the number KL-01CB-01. Okay, there may be an explanation, after all, for all of this. According to Balagopal, “number addiction” was his childhood obsession and he never regrets spending big on his favourite numbers. Well, if someone can afford it, why the hell won't they do it?
  13. Actress Julia Roberts once said "True love doesn't come to you, it has to be inside you." Looks like this Japanese dude took some serious 'inspiration' from her words and literally ate his girlfriend, who was actually a cockroach from Africa. Yuta Shinohara, a 25-year-old entomophagist, was in a serious relationship for almost a year with Lisa, his 'beloved' cockroach girlfriend he bought from Africa. In fact, he was so deeply and madly in love with her that he even fantasised having *** with it. Shinohara agreed that although the relationship was platonic, he often imagined having *** with it in a fantasy world where either he was miniaturised or she was super-sized. And you thought your imagination was weird! YouTube/ Asian Boss However, his romantic love story came to a sad end and Shinohara was left devastated when Lisa died. "The day she passed away was difficult, but I knew it had to come since she was a cockroach with a short lifespan,” he said. YouTube/ Asian Boss I don't know if you noticed or not that I mentioned Shinohara is an entomophagist, which means he is someone who practices eating bugs and insects as food. He did the same with his 'true love' Lisa. He ate the cockroach after she died, so that she can live in his heart and body forever. Shinohara said, "I did it with reverence. So now Lisa lives in my heart and continues living as part of my body." How romantic, isn't it? According to Shinohara, Lisa was hotter than any human girl in the world and that they were "100% serious" about each other. In other news, Shinohara is famous for popularising insect cuisine in the country. He often hosts events where he makes and serves dishes likes noodles, cocktails and desserts made from bugs and worms. His 'ramen made with crickets' is supposedly a delicacy loved by people. Even 'creepy' is an understatement for Shinohara's love story, which ended or probably became 'immortal' when he ate her just so she can continue to live in his body. All those people who say "True love knows no boundaries", will probably take back their words now, after meeting Shinohara.
  14. Before I begin, let me make a couple of things very clear. 1) This is not my very first transformation. My first transformation was back in 2016. You can read about it here. 2) I have been training for nearly 2.5 years now and have an extensive athletics background. 3) The story documented here talks about me getting into photo shoot condition for which, the prep started early August last year. (This was preceded by a 6-8 months of hard core bulk.) 2018 was a big year for me. Not only did I complete 5 years at MXP but also got married to the woman I love. Both my personal as well as professional life moved into new realms of reality. For some things, I was ready. For some, I wasn't. More responsibilities at work came down like mountain, which of course, further narrowed the time I had for myself. Towards the end on 2017, I had made a resolution to put on more muscle on my frame and I knew that this is going to be a tedious task. And so it proved to be. I had too much on my plate to finish and wasn't able to get my diet and training in line and I also lacked accountability. I needed a coach and that's when I got in touch with Akash Vaghela at RNT Fitness. This is what happened after that. The Tri-Phasic Approach Phase 1 – Initial Cut Just like I mentioned above, my goal was muscle building, naturally. At the very start, I had put on a little fat. So to counter that, my first phase was to lean out. I still had muscle on my frame but not as much as I wanted. This was my initial cut and its objective was to prepare me for putting on more muscle later into the year. Always remember, lean out before putting on muscle. When you are fat, your body is well primed to getting fatter. Hence, this cut. Phase 2 – Bulking After losing over 5 kilos on the initial cut, we decided to start a long bulk. This had me eating up to 3500 calories a day and training the hardest that I ever had. My eating plans were set in stone and I followed that to the T. I am good at dieting and at the same time, work a 12-hour desk job. So a set meal plan saved a lot of time. I cooked, packed and ate. No thinking about what to eat. In The Middle Of The Bulk, Came My Wedding Just when I was eating huge amounts of food, I decided to get fat. This meant socializing and endless parties. Unsurprisingly, all the damage I had expected happened. I was already in a surplus and all the wedding food added further more to my daily caloric cap. Though I didn't track but I was easily eating nearly 5K calories during the month of June-July. I drove myself into the dirty bulking category but I had no choice. What I did here was I trained heavier than usual and made sure I was putting the surplus calories to worthwhile use. This Is How I Looked At The End Of The Bulk (Fat) Phase 3- The Final Cut In the early weeks of August, the wedding madness got over. The scale weighed me in at 80 kilos. This was the heaviest I had ever been and of course, I had more fat than muscle. This was about it, and my coach and I decided to start the final cut, which would eventually lead to a photo shoot. I geared up and got into it. This is how I ended up on the shoot day. (In January) I ended my cut at nearly 63 kilos at about 10 percent body fat .In all, a loss of about 17 kilos. What I Ate My diet plan was set which means that I ate the same things every day. Now please, you don't have to do this too. It was doable for me so I did it. These were the food items. 1) Rice 2) Potatoes 3) Ghee/Olive Oil 4) Oats 5) Milk 6) Chicken 7) Wheat The above things are all what my meals comprised of right from the bulk to the cut. Only the quantities were changed according to the goal. (Please understand that no food in isolation makes you fat. It's the amount of calories you eat.) Training This was a complete game changer for me. Before training with Akash I was hitting the gym almost 5-6 times a week. This meant no time dedicated to recovery. He flipped it all up and had me lifting only 4 days a week. This made a HUGE difference in my strength and recovery levels being a natural. 1) Monday – Chest, back shoulders 2) Tuesday – Off 3) Wednesday – Legs and arms 4) Thursday – Off 5) Friday – Chest, back shoulders 6) Saturday – Legs and arms 7) Sunday – off I didn't do freaking 5-6 exercises per muscle group. Instead, I picked up the top 2-3 exercises for every muscle group that I was perfect at doing and a huge margin to overload. Working to failure also went out of the window and sets were limited to 3 per exercise. The focus here was on perfect form and progressive overload. I also got used to reverse pyramiding the sets. Working with Akash as my coach to drive this transformation, it added to my knowledge and capabilities of my body to push to new levels. For an in-depth look at my eating habits and training, you can follow me on Instagram.
  15. If you're a sucker for love and belong to the millennial generation, then I suppose you will connect with the newly established Jodi-Nick & Priyanka, or as they're popularly known, 'Nickyanka'. PeeCee is back in action on the big screen soon enough after her two-month long hiatus from the entertainment industry, where she took time away to celebrate her wedding shenanigans along with going for her honeymoon. © Instagram But little did we know the Desi girl and the vilaayati munda actually first spoke to each other on Twitter! Yes, a little piece of information that PeeCee revealed in a short teaser of the Ellen Show, where Priyanka will be appearing in the next episode, talking about her and Nick with Ellen DeGeneres. © Instagram Priyanka is seen talking about how Nick and her met and how he slid into her DMs on Twitter and told her that his friends think it's a good idea for the two of them to meet! Well, if this isn't giving hope to the men who slide into women's DMs to start a conversation, then I really don't know what is! © Twitter “He DMed me actually. So millennial of us! He DMed me on Twitter saying 'I've heard we should connect and uh... I've heard from common friends that we should meet. What do you think about that? I was like, 'just text me" Priyanka tells Ellen. Tomorrow, @PriyankaChopra tells me how her husband @NickJonas slid into her DMs. A post shared by Ellen (@theellenshow) on Jan 29, 2019 at 9:10pm PST I mean it isn't surprising that a man is slipping into a woman's DMs and sending her messages that are flirtatious in nature, but what caught my attention was that even celebrities enjoy doing it, from time to time. After all, slipping into DMs is the new millennial mantra, isn't it? Maybe if Nick had said something offensive to her or showed her lewd pictures of himself, she wouldn't have really entertained him but he actually said something honest and sweet and voila, he had the girl. © Instagram So, basically, what my point is that, now that you've seen the success rate of a DM through a celebrity wedding, maybe up your DM game a bit and don't be rowdy, aggressive or shamefully lewd when you do decide to slide into a girl's DM. Here are three things to keep in mind if you're going to message a girl on a social media platform: (1) No Lewd Content This should go without saying, I suppose. Girls do not like receiving dick pictures. Period. Neither do they want to see your face or any other body part. It's 2019 and you could get into a lot of trouble. So maybe keep it simple? © Getty images (2) Stop With The Pick-Up-Lines Pick-up lines are actually passé. They were perfect in the 90s and a girl in 2019 wouldn't want to entertain them anymore. Maybe a genuine message about your intention with the girl would work perfectly well? Ps: women make fun of guys who use trashy pick-up-lines, with their other women friends. © Getty images (3) No One Cares About A 'Hey' Anymore Just like how Nick put himself out there and made a bold statement about his intentions with Priyanka, maybe you can do the same? Just don't force your intentions or your opinions on her, is all. If you like her and want to take her out on a date, then by all means, make that clear. If you're just stalking her and say a random 'hey' once in a while, you're getting no attention, whatsoever! © Getty images So yes, not every couple can be Nickyanka, but you can find a middle ground and look for your desi girl with some blatant courage and decency. Meanwhile, PeeCee and Nick are still going strong with their family functions in the States and we're hoping to see Priyanka in Shonali Bose's 'The Sky Is Pink', co-starring Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim, rather soon.
  16. Ahead of the release of this year's highly-anticipated movie, 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga', the makers have released a new trailer, which showcases the complexities of love as brilliantly as the first one did. © Fox Star Studios If you have seen the first trailer, then you know it by now that this is not a regular love story most Bollywood movies swear by. The second trailer picks up from where the first one ends and brilliantly depicts how important love and acceptance of family is in one's life. © Fox Star Studios The trailer begins with Anil Kapoor announcing Sonam Kapoor's 'nikaah' to Rajkummar Rao, which Sonam is clearly not happy with. However, she agrees to compromise for her family, if Rajkummar agrees. However, soon Sonam's reel-life brother and her family realises that she is not in love with Rajkummar or any other guy for that matter. This is where Rajkummar Rao takes centrestage and shows exactly why his fans love him so much. Within a timeframe of less than 2 minutes, Rajkummar not only impressed us with his brilliant acting, but also proved that this outing with Anil Kapoor will be better than his previous one i.e. 'Fanney Khan'. Honestly, Rajkummar (in this movie) is like that one friend who everyone is lucky to have in their lives. © Fox Star Studios As for Sonam, from being a shy girl who doesn't speak up, to someone who decides to go against her family and stand up for her love and for what's right, this is hands down Sonam's best performance so far. Directed by Shelly Dhar, 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' also stars Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Regina Cassandra and is releasing on February 1, 2019.
  17. The leopard print has an undeniably important niche in world fashion, and some would argue, that it's been overdone. In fact, memes like 'Guess who's the only one who can carry off the leopard print without looking stupid? A leopard' has been doing the rounds for the longest time. Some love it, some loathe its existence. Of late, designers all over have been trying to go a little easy on the print, unless they are into hardcore maximalism. No wonder we haven't had a lot of it in men's fashion for the longest time. However, who's the one person you'd trust to bring back a dead aesthetic, other than the quirky tiger of fashion himself? Ranveer Singh did not cut corners while reviving it, and went for it full on, just like one would expect him to. He wore a head-to-toe leopard print outfit at Umang 2019. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani Designed by Varoin Marwah, this killer ensemble is fierceness personified. While the blazer and the pants encapsulate the smaller dots, the shirt is composed of the layered brown spots found on a full-grown leopard. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani There was no holding back on Ranveer's part even in terms of footwear or accessories. He went for a pair of gutsy gold boots, and statement eyewear that complements the feline aesthetic. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani There's no holding back this tiger. Keep roaring, Baba!
  18. They say a true man is shaped not only by his success, or his wealth but also by the goodness that's in his heart. It's not determined by his possessions but only if he shares them with the world for the betterment of mankind. Hollywood, for one, is blessed with philanthropists who have gone the extra mile to give back to the society to be remembered for their goodness. Here are five Hollywood icons who continue their efforts of making the world a better place, one good thing at a time: George Clooney George Clooney is well known for his engagement to stop the human rights atrocities in the Darfur region of Sudan. Clooney founded the Not On Our Watch with his 'Ocean's 11' co-stars Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, and Brad Pitt, and producer Jerry Weintraub, which works to uplift the suffering populations of Sudan. His charity has donated millions of dollars to help those suffering in the region. Clooney was named the United Nations Messenger of Peace in 2008, to help raise public awareness, and support for the U.N's peacekeeping efforts around the world. Hugh Jackman The Wolverine star started The Laughing Man Foundation, which through its chain of coffee shops, supports coffee farming communities across the world by investing in programs that focus on health, growth, and success for coffee farmers and their families. Started after a promise made by the star to his friend, an Ethiopian coffee farmer, Dukale and his family, the Foundation works for supporting the production of sustainable coffee and communities associated with it. Leonardo DiCaprio Since 1998 The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation has been working to protect threatened ecosystems with a focus on Wildlands Conservation, Oceans Conservation and Climate Change. With over 50 million followers, the star's impactful work was recognized when he was designated as the United Nations Messenger of Peace for Climate Change and received the 2014 Clinton Global Citizen Award. Following the notion of great deeds, here's a striking video by Seagram's 100 Pipers Music CDs, that reminds us that the greatest legacy one can leave behind, is an act of goodness – an act that makes the world a better place. Matt Damon Actor-producer-screenwriter, Matt Damon started H2O Africa in an attempt to mitigate the water crisis in Africa and gather support for clean water programs in critical areas. His organization merged later with Water.org that focuses on providing clean water to underprivileged across the world. He is also an ambassador for ONEXONE, a non-profit foundation committed to supporting, preserving and improving the lives of children. Will Smith The MIB star with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, founded the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation to benefit inner-city community development, youth educational projects and underprivileged children and their families. He has also supported several charitable organizations that work in South Africa. Heartwarming, isn't it?
  19. Ever feel like wearing clothes that featured all the savage things you've been feeling like saying out loud? We all have, at some point. The feeling associated with wearing a piece of clothing that puts people in their place, without you having to say anything out loud, is beautiful, to say the least. It might put you in trouble in social situations (and definitely at work), but it's totally worth it (you know you agree). Designers Viktor and Rolf clearly feel the same, because they just showcased an incredible collection at the Paris Fashion Week, featuring the kind of messages you always wanted to yell across the meeting room at work. Here are 12 pictures from the collection that will definitely give you some sartorial inspiration. (Some DIY graffiti T-shirts, probably?) 1. 20. When you have a physique like Tiger Shroff, you don't really need to put a lot of thought about what to wear. However, Tiger clearly doesn't believe in that and pulls off #OOTDs that are definitely Insta-worthy. He just gave us a glimpse of that with his latest outfit, which was deceptively simple but contained a piece that was 'statement' in the truest sense of the term. He wore a pair of bell-bottoms that were delightfully extra and reminded us of the huge bell-bottoms from the '70s. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani The super roomy pair is something you need guts of steel to carry off, simply because of the unusual (bordering on weird) silhouette they give rise to. © Viral Bhayani Tiger was sagaciously fashionable to have worn it with a navy blue fitted T-shirt of a similar shade, because going minimal on top is the only way one can carry it off without committing a fashion blunder. © Viral Bhayani The best thing about the look is that it's not over the top, but still makes a statement that's remarkably 'high-fashion'. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Maybe it's time to bring back the '70s to the mainstream fashion scene after all!

  22. Karan Johar never holds back, when it comes to sartorial shenanigans. Think of the craziest outfits ever, and it's more likely than not that KJo will have them in his wardrobe. Let's just say he never lets us down, and he just did it again by wearing a hoodie featuring the Playboy Magazine cover from June 1997. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani The Philipp Plein hoodie features Playboy Playmate and supermodel Victoria Silvstedt and costs 580 Euros (about Rs 47,000). © Playboy Victoria Silvstedt is a Swedish top model, actress, singer, and television personality. She represented Sweden in Miss World in 1993. © Spanish Fansshare She was noticed by Hugh Hefner and went on to grace the Playboy cover multiple times. In fact, she was the 'Playboy Playmate of the year' in 1997. © Spanish Fansshare © Spanish Fansshare While KJo's maximalism might a little too intimidating for most men to carry off, this is one piece of clothing that every man would probably want to at least have in their wardrobe. After all, can there be a cooler hoodie to wear for an outing with your homies?
  23. Okay. If I'm being honest here, when I saw the first trailer of 'Shazam', my instant reaction was 'what the f*ck?' I mean, this was a DC movie for crying out loud, so why did it look like anything but a regular DC movie, which is full of dark and brooding angst? With all the jokes and the damn bright colours…something was off. But hey, I was not complaining. I am all for change, and if DC is on its way to shedding its dark avatar and incorporates a little heart and humour, I am in! So, when the second trailer of 'Shazam' dropped, sure I was expecting the awesomeness of the last trailer, and I was not disappointed. I mean. LOOK. AT. THAT. Oh, yes, please! Also, I was waiting for the slapstick cheesy humour. And it was delivered perfectly making fans chuckle in unison. But, what I did NOT see coming was the obvious swing it took at one of its own most iconic characters- BATMAN! A few seconds into the trailer and we get to see the giant red words saying- HE'S NOT SO SERIOUS! I mean, come on! You've got to agree that turning the Joker's iconic line around into something so silly yet awesome, was brilliant! Kind of sets the whole tone for the movie and gives us a hint of what we should expect from the movie. Also Billie, who is now in his full-on, bright and ridiculously padded up Shazam costume, sitting with his best friend Freddy and asking a real estate agent for a 'lair' which is ideally located on a “cliff or a castle-esque thing, overlooking some water splashing on rocks and stuff” is the most hysterical thing ever! Of course, we get to see more of Shazam in pure hero-mode putting his awesome powers to use. Watch the full trailer: Needless to say, the trailer left me salivating and wanting for more. However, I wasn't so sure if a lot of DC fans were going to like this radical change in concept, but I had nothing to worry about, as fans are clearly loving this trailer: After seeing Aquaman and watching the new teaser for #Shazam, I'm so excited to see where the DC universe is going in terms of film. Are we gonna have a resurgence in quality? Could we have another Dark Knight on our hands sometime soon? Only time will tell, but I hope so. — Ryan Dunn (@9thWallMedia) January 21, 2019 I really love The Dark Knight Returns esque moment when Billy jumps off the roof and calls the lightning. 25. Men's fashion has been going through a revolution, that is all about being more inclusive. We saw Ranveer Singh pioneer this on a grand scale during his own wedding, and others have been following suit. Now, flowy garments for men, especially the 'Angrakha', has always been an intrinsic part of traditional Indian menswear, but it's only now that they are coming under the limelight. Sidharth Malhotra just wore one, designed by the brilliant Mr Rohit Bal, and rocked the ramp. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Doesn't he look majestic in that black and gold ensemble? We are in love with the black Sherwani dotted with gold embroidery. The quirky red detailing on top sets it apart as a statement piece. The piece belongs to Rohit Bal's latest collection, where he has used Indian flowers as the key element to bring out the best of Indian sartorial heritage. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani The black monochromatic Angrakha with a flowy frill detail complements the Sherwani perfectly, and the relaxed Pyjamas add to the royal elegance. © Viral Bhayani Coming to his footwear, we love the black velvet pair with the matching embroidery on top. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Interestingly, it was Sidharth's birthday, and what can possibly be a better birthday outfit?
