  2. Long before cinema became experimental and various genres erupted, the scope of movie making in the 90s was restricted to makers directing movies which catered to a particular family crowd mostly. Even though today we have an insane variety on OTT, there are some cult movies which defined the way we perceived Bollywood while growing up. Here are 7 movies which are basically an emotion for us: 1. Hum Saath Saath HainEven today, if this movie is played on TV, chances are you will stop and watch it, with every scene rolling in your mind. For anyone who grew up in a big joint family, this movie signified the love, the fun and the memories attached to playing around with so many cousins, attending so many weddings and having many uncles and aunts who never left a chance to pamper us. 2. Andaz Apna ApnaComedy in the 90’s had a benchmark of this movie, which was simple and humorous. One can watch this repeatedly and yet never get bored. 3. RangeelaThis was a movie which was ahead of its times. A beautiful Urmila who changed how fashion was perceived for the modern Indian girl and the hook step to the title track was something we all tried to learn. 4. Dil Toh Pagal HaiBefore KKHH explained to us that ‘pyar dosti hai’, this movie had already established that love can exist in many forms and friendship is one pure version of it. Also, how can you forget the iconic dance duet between Karisma and Madhuri which lit the screens on fire. 5. Jo Jeeta Wohi SikandarA super sexy Pooja Bedi straight out of Marilyn Monroe dreams, a clichéd character of Aamir Khan representing how class difference influences a student’s personality and oh, Pehla Nasha, the song which continues to jog our memories when we think of a song about our first junior school crush. 6. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge“Jaa Simran Ja, jee le apni zindagi”, DDLJ gave us hope that true love will happen when we grow up. It lit up dreams of European vacations, eating ice cream in the snow, catching a train by holding a good looking stranger’s hand, and that mandoline will play every time we fall in love. 7. BorderYou were probably only 6 or 7 years old when this movie ended up lighting a fire of patriotism in you and you caught yourself dreaming of joining the Army. This movie and its soundtrack continues to give us goosebumps. View the full article
  3. WhatsApp has started to roll out joinable group calls so that users can join group audio or video calls after it has been started. It essentially works similar to Zoom and Google Meet calls where users can join an ongoing call in case they missed it. © WhatsApp The update will also let users easily drop off and rejoin a group WhatsApp call as long it is still ongoing. Up until now, WhatsApp users were unable to join a group call if they missed it by mistake. The only way to join the call would be possible if participants in an active call would add members. The new feature is said to reduce the burden of answering a group call as it starts and bring the spontaneity and ease of in-person conversations to group calling on WhatsApp, the instant messaging app said in a blog post. How To Join Ongoing Group Calls on WhatsApp © WhatsApp Once a group call has been initiated, you will get the option to ‘Tap to Join’ in the call log on WhatsApp. You will also be able to see the prompt in the group chat. You will just need to hit the option to join the call to get talking to your friends. WhatsApp will also show an information screen that will show which users have not joined the call yet. You can also ignore other calls as the information screen now comes with an Ignore button. You can always join the call later from the ‘Calls’ tab if the call is still ongoing. WhatsApp has been testing joinable calls for beta testers on iOS and Android with the 2.21.140.11 beta version. The company also reworked the UI to look similar to Apple’s FaceTime interface. WhatsApp has not said when exactly the joinable call feature will be available to everyone, however the update has started to roll out. You should soon see the feature on both iOS and Android as the update has now started rolling out. © Unsplash/dimitri-karastelev The instant messaging app released the group calling feature on WhatsApp in 2018 and has now reworked the feature to be at par with other digital calling platforms. Group calls have been on the rise ever since the COVID-19 pandemic started worldwide and it seems like WhatsApp has finally caught up with the likes of Zoom and Google Meet. View the full article
  4. WhatsApp blocked at least two million accounts from India according to its latest compliance report released by Facebook. What’s interesting is that WhatsApp blocked two million accounts in just a month from May 15th to June 15th according to the Facebook-owned instant messaging platform. © Pexels/anton WhatsApp blocked these accounts using automated technology. The messaging app blocks around eight million accounts a month around the world. Between May 15 and June 15, the company received around 345 complaints from India out of which the company acted against 63. There were a range of complaints including problems with accounts, product services such as payments and safety issues. While WhatsApp is complying with the new IT Rules in India, the company has challenged the Government’s order on traceability which is also part of the monthly grievance compliance report. This is the first time WhatsApp has published a grievance report in India and is now the fourth company to do so after Google, Facebook and Twitter. “We are an industry leader among end-to-end encrypted messaging services in preventing and combating abuse,” WhatsApp said in its report. “In addition to our safety features and controls, we employ a team of engineers, data scientists, analysts, researchers, and experts in law enforcement, online safety, and technology developments to oversee these efforts. We enable users to block contacts and to report problematic content and contacts to us from inside the app. We pay close attention to user feedback and engage with specialists in stemming misinformation, promoting cybersecurity, and preserving election integrity,” it added. Out of the 2 million accounts banned by the platform, it is worth pointing out that 95 percent of the accounts that were banned had made “unauthorized use of automated or bulk messaging.” In its report, WhatsApp also talked in detail about all the mechanisms the company uses to tackle bans. The company said that the abuse detection method works in three stages—during registration, while messaging and in response to negative feedback from user reports and users blocking an account. © Pexels/anton WhatsApp also said that it relies “on available unencrypted information including user reports, profile photos, and group photos and descriptions, besides deploying advanced AI tools and resources to detect and prevent abuse on our platform” WhatsApp’s latest report comes as a part of the India Monthly Report under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. We can expect to see similar reports every month henceforth where the company will disclose all of the actions it has taken against spammers and other accounts that violate its rules. 6. A few things that superhero movies have taught me while growing up have been to remember that first, the Earth is always ready to be taken hostage by the bad guys. Second, good guys are always going to be around to save that from happening. And lastly, the best ones will win your hearts until one fine day they decide to leave the franchise with a human-shaped hole in your heart. As is something we’ve experienced one too many times, enduring the death of some of our favourite characters over time. And while the list may be long, the one we’re pointing at today is none other than the OG X-men - Wolverine aka Hugh Jackman. © Marvel Entertainment Having played the iconic role of Wolverine for 17 long years, Hugh Jackman retired from the role back in 2017, saying it was time for him to move on. But now that the X-men franchise is ready to be rebooted for the MCU, things might be up for a little change. We say this after coming across a rather cryptic post from the actor’s Instagram account, where he posted two stories back to back, leaving us fans as confused as it is hopeful. #HughJackman's recent Instagram story indicates that he may be in talks to return as #Wolverine in the #MCU.https://t.co/v8nCK1VlSU pic.twitter.com/v621KVJ41f — Screen Rant (@screenrant) July 6, 2021 The first was a piece of fanart of his wolverine claw from Bosslogic that he reposted on his Insta story, followed by a photo of himself with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, which made us all wonder if the actor was planning to make a comeback, even if for a cameo role which now with the introduction of the multiverse in the Marvel universe, is all the more possible. © Hugh Jackman Jackman played the iconic role of Wolverine since the 2000s, giving us 8 successful and hit movies to devour in our youth including X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse and Logan - the final nail in the character’s coffin. As fans get busy coming up with theories so as to explain the connection between the two stories and Hugh Jackman posing with Feige, this is how Twitter is dealing with this brand new information : pic.twitter.com/Fgz0kqn14o — The Detoxy (@Detox043) July 6, 2021PLEASE BE TRUE!!! — ⛩ hoes of tshusima ⛩ (@elduderino299) July 6, 2021 pic.twitter.com/VL8yAMDrMG — Lise🇨🇦 (@mamanlyli) July 6, 2021 pic.twitter.com/dXLNacKClZ — Jackson Carley (@JacksonCarley1) July 6, 2021Some people just arent re-castable. Would have been a huge disservice if he wasnt added to the MCU (if he is up for it) — Avalanche (@CarlosShabo) July 6, 2021As much as I would love that… I don’t think he will. Not unless it’s a cameo. ️ pic.twitter.com/URpQjgknFr — Dawn McNaught (@DawnMcNaught1) July 6, 2021No cap, If Hugh Jackman ever returns as Wolverine Im gonna cry pic.twitter.com/1zSOkhumoh — LIL BOY BLU3 (@LILBOYBLU31) July 6, 2021 View the full article
  7. Apple took its sweet time to revamp its streaming box and the 2021 version of the Apple TV 4K changes a lot of things that I had contention with. While the box may look exactly like the previous iteration, there are some meaningful upgrades under the hood. The biggest change has to be the remote that comes with the 2021 iteration that fixes almost everything I had a problem with. The previous Apple TV remote may just be the worst remote ever designed and it seems like Apple took the criticism seriously. Here’s what I think about the Apple TV 4K after using it for over two weeks. Design © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The 2021 Apple TV 4K looks identical to the previous models and it can easily fit in your existing entertainment system without taking too much room. The device has a matt black top with a discreet logo at the center. On the sides, the Apple TV 4K (2021) retains glossy finishes which can be a major dust magnet. At the back, you have the power socket, an HDMI 2.1 port, and an Ethernet port. What’s weird is that the Apple TV still doesn’t come with a bundled HDMI cable which is inexcusable especially for how much this thing costs. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The biggest change here is the new Siri remote which has all the right changes I needed. For starters, there’s now a circular clickpad at the top which works the same way as the touch-sensitive touchpad. However, the additional directional buttons on the outer ring make it easier to navigate for users who can never get used to the sensitivity of the touchpad. Scrolling forward and backward is far easier thanks to the new design which was my biggest gripe with the previous remote. Clicking the touchpad results in opening apps or selecting menus that work similarly to the previous remote. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The new remote also has new buttons such as the back button and a mute button which were sorely needed. It’s great to see Apple take feedback on the Apple TV Siri remote and we finally have dedicated buttons for key actions that weren’t there before. The Siri remote also has a power button that you can use to switch the Apple TV 4K on or off. The Siri button has now been moved to the right edge of the remote which, in my opinion, was the right decision. Performance The Apple TV 4K (2021) is powered by Apple’s A12 Bionic chip and supports high-frame-rate HDR and Dolby content. The Apple TV also supports Dolby Atmos audio which is great for users who have a 5.1 or 7.1 audio system at home. In terms of picture quality, the Apple TV 4K (2021) does an incredible job at displaying HDR content. Watching TV shows like For Mankind on Apple TV+ was a sheer delight with deep blacks and vivid colours. If you have an iPhone, you can even balance the colour profile by simply pointing the iPhone’s front camera towards the dedicated stencil. I initially thought this was a gimmick, but using this feature really did correct the colour profile of the Apple TV. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Since the new Apple TV 4K supports high frame rate HDR, the device is future proof for the time being. While not many movies take advantage of the feature right now as most movies and TV shows are shot at 30FPS, you can experience the difference when watching live sporting events. While watching EURO 2021 and F1 live streams, I barely noticed any motion blur on fast-moving objects. Since the new Apple TV is powered by A12 Bionic Chipset, the overall experience is faster, snappier and a lot more satisfying than the previous model. The A12 Bionic chipset is also a great SoC for experiencing gaming on the Apple TV 4K. Since the streaming box can connect with PlayStation and Xbox controllers, it effectively turns into a gaming console. Games run at higher frames which makes the overall experience a lot smoother than ever before. The 7nm A12 Bionic is the same chipset that can be found on the iPhone XS and XR series. The chipset is great at handling most modern games as it has incredible GPU performance and efficiency. If you are subscribed to Apple Arcade, you can play plenty of console-level games on the Apple TV 4K 2021. Since the streaming box also has support for HDMI 2.1, you can also play some games at higher frame rates. Having said that, you still need an HDMI 2.1 cable and a TV with an HDMI 2.1 port in order to enjoy high frame-rate gaming. The tvOS Experience The new Apple TV 4K runs the same tvOS operating system as previous models which should feel right at home for existing users. If you are a new user, you will be greeted with a clean interface where you can access apps easily and fiddle through settings in straightforward menus. You can set up multiple Apple ID user profiles as well in case there is more than one user in the home. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla If you’re an iPhone or iPad user, there are other integrations that you can take advantage of apart from calibrating colour profiles. For example, you can type in search terms and passwords from an iPhone rather than trying to use the Siri remote which is a much faster way to go about things. You can also control the Apple TV 4K with your iPhone from the control centre provided you are on the same network. If you own other Apple devices such as a MacBook, you can mirror your screen using AirPlay 2. If you own Apple audio products such as the AirPods, AirPods Max Pro, or the HomePod, you can connect these accessories from the Bluetooth menu with ease. The Apple TV 4K also supports connecting two pairs of AirPods as well. If you prefer a stereo HomePod setup, the Apple TV 4K has support for that as well. Finally, if you have smart devices hooked up with HomeKit, you can directly control all of them from the Siri remote which is a neat feature to have. There’s little to no lag when using the Siri remote to control your smart home gadgets. The Final SayIf you’re already invested in the Apple ecosystem, you shouldn’t really be looking beyond the Apple TV 4K for your streaming needs. With deep integrations with almost every Apple product, the Apple TV 4K is the perfect streaming box for your entertainment system. If you’re a casual gamer, the Apple TV 4K can also double up as a gaming console for playing games via Apple Arcade or purchased games from the App Store. For Rs 15,990, the Apple TV 4K (2021) may just be the ultimate streaming box to own in 2021. View the full article

  9. It's almost every day that we see a celebrity getting trolled on the internet. People often bank on social media platforms to make fun of others without realising how it can anguish and take a toll on the victims. While sometimes, trolls are light-hearted, quite a lot of times, it turns into a heavy feud on social media. The incessantly negative trolls keep trying to break celebrities and often force them to speak up against cyberbullying. © Instagram/Abhishek Bachchan Abhishek Bachchan has found himself as fodder for memes several times. But recently, on Social Media Day, he shared some rather important information on Instagram. He created a meme of himself using Drake's Hotline Bling Template and is seen reacting to the situation. In the meme, he is seen rejecting the rumours and negativity while giving a thumbs up to sharing knowledge, gaining knowledge, spreading love, peace and happiness. © Instagram/Abhishek Bachchan As he shared this meme, he wrote on Instagram, "Social media is a powerful tool. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility!" © Instagram/Abhishek Bachchan © Instagram/Abhishek Bachchan As soon as he posted this meme, Suniel Shetty commented clapping emojis on it. Abhishek's fans also applauded him for being a natural on the internet. One user wrote, "You are absolutely love." while another one said, "We're so proud of you." © Instagram/Abhishek Bachchan Abhishek has often given befitting replies to memes and trolls. Just last year, a troll said he gets to work in movies only due to privileges. To this, he responded, "Kaash jo aap keh rahe hote sach hota. Sochiye, Kitna kaam milta mujhe." © Instagram/Abhishek Bachchan Abhishek also spoke about giving classic replies to trolls in an interview and mentioned that it has to be a fair game. He said, "My thing is that it is fair game. If you're going to take potshots at me, I have every right to take a potshot back at you." The actor also said that he lauds real, funny jokes but at his expense. Meanwhile, on the work front, Abhishek will be seen in Bob Biswas, in which he essays the role of a serial killer. He also has Dasvi in his kitty. Abhishek was last seen in The Big Bull by Kookie Gulati and also starred in Anurag Kashyap's movie, Ludo. View the full article

The team deathmatch mode has launched in Beta nearly four months after the launch of the game. 11. Men love cars and they certainly like them fast! © Instagram/kartik_aaryan_fansclub While most of us might not be in the position to own a Ferrari or Lamborghini any time soon, what is the harm in at least appreciating their existence on Earth, right? © iStock Be it the racing video games, Top Gear magazines, or racing sports like the Formula One on TV, most of us would be totally game to have a peek at fast cars because it's something that comes from within, the NEED for SPEED! © Electronic Arts And well, there is one movie franchise that was introduced in the early 2000s to give us a perfect dose of it. © Universal Pictures The Fast & Furious franchise starring Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker, gave us everything that we needed. Fast cars, exciting street racing action, nerve-racking heists, and a really exciting storyline were a complete package to keep us glued to our seats. © Universal Pictures Well, at least for the first few movies after which the series took on a completely different track, and honestly, has stopped making sense. © Universal Pictures So, let's take a look at what exactly went wrong with the series: 1. No More Racing © Universal Pictures The first few movies including The Fast and the Furious (2001), 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), and The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) are absolute fan favourites to date. Why? Simply because apart from all the drama-driven plot of the action film, things revolved around the basic concept of racing. Well, that's what got things started, right? © Universal Pictures We loved seeing Diesel's Dom Toretto and Walker's Brian O'Conner square off against each other in a streetcar race, which goes the same for the other two movies as well. (especially drifting in the third instalment). Unfortunately, the franchise decided to completely let go of racing altogether, and well, that didn't work well with the audience for certain. © Universal Pictures 2. Less Relatable © Universal Pictures This does not mean that we all relate to owning a Vin Diesel American Muscle car like the 1970 Dodge Charger or Paul Walker's orange Toyota Supra. Nope, we don't. Many of us still take the metro to work, brother. What we are saying is that while it was easier to imagine high-adrenaline racing or car-chasing action, the idea of jumping from one building to another was something we could not have imagined in the wildest of our dreams. I mean, hello? Even Harry Potter and his best friend Ron Weasley would have trouble pulling something like that off even with a flying car. © Warner Bros Well, love it or hate it, the Fast series is filled with bizarre action sequences like the Furious 7's Abu Dhabi skyscraper jump and a lot sitting in the audience were like, "Bhai, yeh kuch zyaada hogaya!" 3. The Family Keeps Getting Bigger © Universal Pictures While we obviously all love movies with a good ensemble cast, take, for example, Marvel's Avengers movies, the Ocean's series, or for that matter, even Bollywood movies like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham..., the fact remains that it does not always work for everyone. © Prime Video © Netflix If we take this in the case of the Fast series, while we did dig this idea of the original Fast & Furious cast adding more members like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Sun Kang (Han) to make things more exciting, the movie did end up losing certain elements that would have made it more successful. © Universal Pictures Adding well-known stars brings more eyeballs but it also unnecessarily creates complications in terms of storylines of the film which are forced to give space to the all-star characters instead of keeping things simple with just a few main leads. © Universal Pictures Moreover, as noted in the case of the real-life beef between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, bigger stars bring bigger egos to the team, something that is definitely not good for a successful franchise like that of the Fast series. 4. There May Be Dinosaurs In The Franchise In The Future © Twitter/ Comic Book Now Yes, you read that just right! After the concepts of flying and building jumping cars, a car taking on a flying helicopter, and almost the entire WWE squad joining the series, the Fast franchise is contemplating the idea of having a crossover with Jurassic World. © Universal Pictures This was according to Fast and Furious director Justin Lin, who during a virtual press conference a few months back flirted around the idea of having race cars and dinosaurs in one movie. “Well, I’ve never said never to anything. And part of our philosophy is not to ever be boxed in or labelled. And that’s all I will say,” said Lin. Dude, come on! We certainly get it that the family can take on literally anyone in the world, but dinosaurs? Really? Anyway, if this comes to fruition, it certainly cements the fact that the moviemakers are smoking some cracking 'maal' that we cannot get our hands-on. © Universal Pictures Unfortunately for the dinosaurs, just like the extinction, they didn't see this one coming either. Well, guess what, Mr T-Rex? We did not either! View the full article

  15. If you're a fan of the Fast and the Furious movie franchise, you've got to remember the first few movies in the series and how they set the pace for what was to come later. © Universal Pictures The series blasted off with pure exciting street racing content, with the first two movies featuring Vin Diesel's Dom Toretto right at the center of the action along with his best buddy, late actor Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner. Yes, the actor's on-screen character Brian O'Conner drove a bright orange-colored 1994 Toyota Supra, the beauty of which took every viewer's breath away. © Universal Pictures We've got news for you, though. 17. After a long battle with Covid-19, four times Asian Games gold medalist, Milkha Singh succumbed to the virus at 91. Known as the Flying Sikh, he was one of India's most successful athletes, who championed the first India Commonwealth Games Champion in 1958. The next year, he was also honoured with the Padma Shri. © Instagram In 2013, Farhan Akhtar received a seal of approval from Milkha himself to play the role of the legendary athlete in the sports drama, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The story traces back to Milkha's life, on how his family suffered the brutality of Partition in India and his journey to becoming an Indian Army soldier and representing India as an athlete. Goes without saying that the movie was hit as people were blown away by Farhan's flawless and powerful portrayal of the icon. We take a look at four instances when Farhan looked almost like the legendary sprinter in the biopic, proving his dedication to the role: © Twitter/Farhan Akhtar_FC For actors, when they have to enact a character, they go through intense workouts and diet regimes to transform into the character's persona. Farhan had to sculpt his body to look like a seasoned athlete. From functional training to following a strict eating schedule, he was trained extensively by his coaches to morph into the Flying Sikh's personality and physicality as well. © Twitter/Farhan Akhtar_FC © Twitter/Farhan Akhtar_FC Playing the Olympian's role proved a big challenge for Farhan, more than he had bargained for. He had to transform himself completely to fit into Milkha Singh's shoes for the movie. He grew out his hair and beard and morphed into looking like a Sardar. Not just that, he was trained to even run exactly like the sprinter. He said in an interview, "I am playing someone who is iconic. I can't afford to get it wrong. But the role's authenticity is what makes it exciting for me. If I can pick roles that can surprise me and the audience, I've achieved what I set out to as an actor." © Reliance Entertainment, Twitter/Milkhasinghfanclub Speaking of his style choices, Milkha Singh kept his ensembles pretty simple and casual. He mostly wore basic T-shirts and checked shirts with his turban, which made his overall look stand out. Farhan was able to get the right tick even in the fashion department. © Instagram/Farhan Akhtar, Twitter/Milkhasinghfanclub Young Milkha looked lean and fit, ergo Farhan had to attain the same visual for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. After doing a rigorous workout for several months, Farhan was finally able to achieve an athletic body similar to Milkha Singh's, during his championship days. When Milkha saw the biopic, he was all praise for it, especially, for Farhan. “When 'Bhaag Mikha Bhaag' was released, no matter where I went -- Australia, England or Canada, people around the world used to say Farhan is Milkha Singh's ditto copy. I even went to see Farhan train during the film's making and saw him run 100 metres in 11 seconds! He was not a professional athlete, but he trained hard to become one,” he told the Economic Times. 20. Celebrity lookalikes are often funny and interesting and leave us baffled at the same time. Just a few days ago, Shah Rukh Khan’s doppleganger Ibrahim Qadri went viral and netizens said he is a spitting image of the superstar. Not just actors, sometimes we come across common people who have an uncanny resemblance to politicians and global leaders too. Former US president Donald Trump was once compared with a female farmer in Spain who looked too much like him and the Internet was in splits. © Twitter Once again, netizens have found Trump’s another doppelganger and this time in the dingy lanes of Pakistan. Someone recently shared a video of an ice cream seller who is in his 40s and has a skin disorder named albinism. His physique, light coloured hair and white skin makes him look exactly like Donald Trump. Even the expressions are the same as the US politician. © Twitter He drags his ice cream cart on the streets of Lahore, Pakistan while singing in Urdu. He looks strikingly similar to Donald Trump, only in a kurta instead of the signature blue suit. People cannot believe their eyes and are amazed by the similarity. © Twitter His video is being tweeted by hundreds of users where they called him Pakistani version of Trump. 21. For fantasy lovers, Lord Of The Rings remains one of the greatest, if not THE BEST, movie series that has ever been made. This perhaps is the only series that has garnered equal (if not more) appreciation as the book series - which in itself is a feat worth applause. For anyone who has watched them, it wouldn't have come as a surprise - such is the sheer brilliance of the movies. via GIPHY Naturally, when we heard that a brand new LOTR movie has been announced, this is kinda how we reacted. via GIPHY You can't blame us and you know it. Anyway, let's get to business and spill all that we know about it. via GIPHY To start with, we already know the name. The movie is called Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim. Clearly, it's self explanatory what it's based on from the name itself. The Rohirrim refer to the people of Rohan - the horsemen and the horse lords we saw in The Two Towers, and then also in the fierce battle of the Pelennor Fields. via GIPHY The second most important thing is, it is going to be an anime feature, which is reportedly being directed by Kenji Kamiyama, who is the name behind heavy duty projects such as Blade Runner: Black Lotus as well as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. via GIPHY Reportedly, The War Of The Rohirrim will deal with a story that essentially is a prequel to the trilogy, and is set 260 years before the events of the same. The history of Helm's Deep is supposed to be explored in this one, where the famous battle had taken place in The Two Towers. via GIPHY As of now, even though casting of voice artists is reported to be underway, there has not been any announcement on who exactly will be joining the cast. As far as the date is concerned, the project apparently is being fast tracked and the aim is to release it around the same time as Amazon's LOTR series, or perhaps even sooner. via GIPHY All we can say is: THANK YOU! Please give us more reasons to look forward to continuing living, just like this. View the full article
