  1. Ayushmann Khurrana is on a roll. The multi-talented actor has been delivering good performances consistently for quite some time now, and his films are turning out to be really entertaining. However, he clearly is adept at carrying more than just big films on his able shoulders. His clothes are big too, quite literally. Confused? Take a look at the trousers he stepped out wearing, for 'Badhaai Ho' screening. © Instagram - Isha Bhansali © Viral Bhayani As big as those pants are, we absolutely love them. The pleated, super wide silhouette looks phenomenal, mainly because of their construction and fall. We like fact that they have been paired with the grey jacket, and a translucent white shirt. © Viral Bhayani When it comes to accessories, we totally like the minimalistic vibe going on with the statement glasses and the watch. The fact that he hasn't gone overboard, shows that he totally understands the nuances of the new-age street aesthetic. © Instagram - Isha Bhansali When you have a pair of pants that are this statement, you can totally wear a super simple shirt and button it up till the top for a sophisticated and ramp-ready look. Adding a jacket would be ideal when it comes to dealing with the nip in the air, for the fancy evening stroll. © Viral Bhayani We love the chunky white sneakers that he has been wearing frequently of late. They clearly are super versatile. In a nutshell, we are loving this unusual aesthetic, Ayushmann. Kudos!
  2. In 1968, American poet and activist, Muriel Rukeyser was quoted asking a very pertinent question- "what would happen if one woman told the truth about her life? The world would split open". The relevance of this quote today is unimaginable, with regard to the #MeToo movement. Women have been stepping out from years of sexual abuse and harassment and speaking boldly about facts they've been ruminating over, for ages now and that's what has made this movement powerful. Their previously unheard voices. © Twitter But we mustn't mistake this movement to be concentric to the urban elite or the upper middle class or the rich and the famous. Although, yes, the genesis was from Hollywood and it rippled all the way to Bollywood, it has also impacted smaller circles, cities and small town as well. Over the last couple of weeks, we've seen women bravely speak out against men with positions of power and take the storm head on. But there have also been women amidst us, who've spoken up against their not-so-known perpetrators, in the same capacity as the women who've spoken about prominent figures in society and it's their story too. What I am getting at is, the #MeToo movement might have been a wake-up call for the rich and the famous but the phenomenon hasn't stopped there and it has surely trickled down and made its way through the urban divide as well. © Twitter To classify #MeToo as a movement just for celebrities and figureheads is entirely unfair. Smaller fractions of society are feeling the heavy weight of the movement upon them too and women have come together to stand up for one another. Even though the movement is running parallel in two strata's of society, a lot of similarities in understanding and responding to the movement can be seen. The most obvious one is most men being in denial vicariously and unapologetically. © Twitter Another similarity to observe here is the fact that women are unanimously polarising the effect of the movement in a very concerted way, to say the least. Men and women alike are heading in a direction that I would like to call as the 'new world gender order', or at least the brink of it. No, I am not talking about any totalitarian government but a unique and precise gender identity that's taking precedence now. Gender roles are more defined, regardless of caste and creed. And it's only possible because an entire country is marching up and confronting the movement head-on, and not just a single strata of society. © Twitter According to a visualisation of the Google trends data, which shows the top cities searching for the #MeToo movement around the world, India tops the list. It's actually true. I don't know if it's because we're a heavily populated country and the search for these cases is more prevalent here or because patriarchy and basic conditioning is so deep-rooted in our upbringing, that everyone relates to the movement more substantially. NASA actually captured an image, as they did of India on Diwali, showing India as most lit up on the entire globe, corroborating the reach and the momentum of the movement, so to speak. Surprisingly though, Google hasn't listed Delhi, Bengaluru or Mumbai as the cities that are searching for #Metoo movement online, but you'll see Chicalim in Goa, Bhusawal in Maharashtra, Zirakpur in Punjab and Bhanwreli in Chattisgarh topping the search. While the movement is in full flow in bigger cities, smaller towns are actively trying to contribute to the movement too, by reading up as much of it, as they can on it. Statistically, rapes and cases of sexual harassment and assault are more prevalent in smaller towns and villages and this is the best piece of education the internet can impart, to women especially, who are subjugated to these crimes in the past, or the present and want to be heard. © Twitter Having said that, women in bigger cities, working in regular 9-5 jobs are also getting together and calling men out for their behaviour. They're forming smaller groups to fight for the movement together to bring the perpetrators out in the open. So, to be fair, calling the movement a movement for the 'privileged' is absolutely unfair. Anyone who has a voice can come forth and talk about their story, openly while knowing the consequences of openly talking about it, will always favour anyone who decides to do it.
  3. Breaking news people, apparently just holding your baby is 'emasculating now', well at least according to Piers Morgan. Yes, the guy who's known for trying to troll celebrities for stupid stuff and always getting hate in return, still hasn't learned his lesson. This time, he tried to go after none other than Daniel Craig and tried to shame him for the most bizarre reason. Oh 007.. not you as well?!!! #papoose #emasculatedBond pic.twitter.com/cqWiCRCFt3 — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 15, 2018 What are you smoking, Piers? Are you okay? What kind of crisis are you having that you've got to go out of your way to make fun of a dad holding his kid? I would like to reply to that tweet with a meme – 'Fellas, is it gay for a man to have a baby with a woman and hold it securely?' But, it's good to see not a single person agreeing with him. One of the first people to give it off to Piers was Chris Evans. You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child. Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside. https://t.co/9jsHZ3WKRn — Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) October 16, 2018 Captain America for President! Even dictionary.com told off Piers in a very nice way. Piers Morgan, we double checked the definition of emasculate. There's nothing about being a load-sharing father to be found there. https://t.co/TH9bzv9qdl https://t.co/nBcmr8fsb8 — Dictionary.com (@Dictionarycom) October 15, 2018 No, but he's still being an ass online. The entire internet secretly agrees with me. FYI. https://t.co/1cxDT0RI71 — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 16, 2018 He's trying to prove his point with a fake baby. On the red carpet tonight.. now THIS is how you hold a baby. #NoPapoose #ITVPalooza pic.twitter.com/GOboP0wd19 — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 16, 2018 But, his initial tweet was enough to make dads on the internet unite and troll him back. Embracing fatherhood! There's me carrying my youngest daughter, in the 7 years since this photo I've had my nails painted, hair done, been a patient at their dentist and worked in their kitchen more times than I can remember. Might not be manly, but its fun and I wouldnt change anything. pic.twitter.com/AxCXHyNsLM — Lord Helmet (@d_helmet) October 16, 2018 Look at Piers, he doesn't. Do you even lift bro pic.twitter.com/08TL9HQBTI — Skip Allums (@skippr) October 16, 2018 Destroyed. Yes Piers, its called a baby, I can see why you're confused- you only get one if a woman fucks you. — Jesse McLaren (@McJesse) October 15, 2018 Can you compete with this? I carry this guy around all day we go for walks & runs, lift weights, go grocery shopping, go to the park, cook dinner, do squats, lunges, pullups, train other ppl...I've never been more of a man @piersmorgan #dadlife #emasculatedBond pic.twitter.com/BhpfH0W1lW — bucktownfit (@bucktownfit) October 16, 2018 Go ahead. 4. Almost everyone dreams of being super-rich one day, and that's mostly a common goal for everyone. Who wouldn't want to be a millionaire and have an extravagant and lavish life? I will tell you who– someone who's already a multi-millionaire and still prefers living an ordinary life. Quite commendable, if you think about it. The person in question is the legendary actor Chow Yun-fat, who says he lives on just $100 a month and even plans to give away his $714 million fortune to charity. What a guy! Twitter While promoting his movie, 'Project Gutenberg', he opened up about his lifestyle, which is honestly so unexpected for a millionaire. He said, “My dream is to be a happy and normal person.” He went on, “The hardest thing in life is not about how much money you earn, but how to keep a peaceful mindset and live the rest of your life in a simple and carefree manner.” Words to live by, tbh! He said he doesn't like spending any money on himself and would rather spend it doing charity work. He also said he eats at street food stalls and takes public transport as much as he can. The best thing about this is that he also claimed he had used his Nokia phone – probably a flip phone – for 17 years and the only reason he upgraded to a smartphone was because the Nokia phone stopped working. Side note – Apple please take note and make phones that last almost two decades, that will be great! While a lot of us dream of the day where we would shop without even looking at the price tag, the guy who can actually afford to do it prefers shopping at discount stores instead. He said, “I don't wear clothes for other people. As long as I think it's comfortable, then it's good enough for me.” It's great to see that even after being in the film industry for 40 years, he's still so down to earth and humble. We really need more people like him in the world. Moreover, since he and his wife Jasmine Tan have no children, they plan on leaving it all to charity. The couple also established their own charity several years ago and even do a lot of charity work in their spare time. Basically, he has earned so much money but he still believes the best use of it will be to help others. He's known for acting in movies like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Bulletproof Monk and Crazy Rich Asians among others.
  5. Not long ago, WhatsApp rolled out a feature that let you delete sent messages for a particular time period. This 'unsend message' feature comes in extremely handy when you send the wrong person a text, and end up apologising profusely. In this case, Facebook could soon be rolling out the "unsend" feature for Messenger, that would allow users to retract sent messages not only from their inboxes but also from the entire chat thread. Tech tipster Jan Manchun Wong tweeted screenshots of the feature running in the Android version. Jan dug through the apps update code and came across a new feature addition that indicates there's a 'time limit'- giving users only a certain amount of time after they send a message to unsend it. Facebook Messenger is finally working on "Unsend Message" in the app for everyone! Tip @Techmeme pic.twitter.com/5OtQmyID3 — Jane Manchun Wong (@wongmjane) October 12, 2018 Currently, Messenger users are only able to delete messages from their inbox, though the sender/recipient will be able to see the message in his/her inbox. This feature first came to focus when CEO Mark Zuckerberg was able to delete messages from the inbox of various recipients in April this year. When you press and hold on to the message, an 'unsend' button pops up next to 'delete'. The latter option will only remove the message from your end, while the unsend button will ensure that the message is removed from the receiver's end as well. © Reuters On other news, WhatsApp is also bound to get a new update that will alter the time period in which one has to delete sent messages. Currently, messages can be called back within 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds of being sent, WhatsApp will now be extending this time frame to 13 hours, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds. LIMITS UPDATED! WhatsApp has updated the "Recipient limit". What does it mean? If you delete a message for everyone, but the recipient won't receive the revoke request within 13h, 8m, 16s (maybe because the phone was off), the message will **not** be revoked. ..(1/2) — WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) October 11, 2018 According to WABetaInfo, the change is intended to be a protection against modded users that revoke messages sent weeks, months and years ago. It is unclear whether the new change has already been implemented for all WhatsApp users or it will take some time to reach the entire WhatsApp user base. The same remains the case for Messenger. A timeline on the feature roll-out isn't officially available from Facebook yet, but we expect it to hit the app stores in the coming weeks.
  6. Reports circulating have indicated that the company was planning to earn revenue from WhatsApp by placing ads in its users' statuses. It is now planning to allow advertisements to be displayed in the 'Status' section of the app. WhatsApp's 'Status' feature allows users to share text, photos, videos, and animated GIFs that disappear after 24 hours. © YouTube According to a tweet by WABetaInfo, Facebook has already started implementing ads in the Status section of the social messaging app. They are not visible yet, but the feature will be enabled in the future. WhatsApp beta for Android 2.18.305: WhatsApp is implementing in this version ads for Status. They are not visible yet and the feature will be enabled in future. — WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) October 5, 2018 According to previous media reports, the advertisements would be powered by Facebook's native advertising system and would be aimed at helping users understand and participate in businesses using the messaging app. WhatsApp is owned by Facebook, one of the largest advertising companies in the world. The report states that Facebook could implement ads on WhatsApp in a way, that is similar to Instagram's 'Stories' feature. The move has been making the rounds ever since Facebook acquired WhatsApp, since that is one of the very few successful ways of monetization. © WhatsApp Thankfully, WhatsApp has firmly always said that all chat content is encrypted and cannot be viewed by the company itself. Meaning, Ads will not be targeted to you based on your chats or interests. WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton, who left the company last year, in his interview to Forbes last month also hinted towards the ways the platform could be monetized. Acton said that he had disagreements with Facebook chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg over WhatsApp's business model and that the company zeroed on two ways to earn revenue from the app. © Brian Acton / Picture by Recode WhatsApp has been free to use since its inception, while the company did charge a nominal fee in the early stage, it soon stopped the subscription model and has been completely free to use since then. Four years after its acquisition by Facebook for US$ 19 billion, WhatsApp now has over 1.5 billion users and will reportedly carry targeted ads from 2019, on a platform that has been ad-free till date. 7. Given the comebacks of all things retro, there's no predicting what might come back. This very fact was reiterated, when Bobby Deol stepped out wearing a pair of capri pants. Remember capri pants? They used to be a rage back in the '90s, but somehow vanished off the face of the earth - the fashionable face of the earth, rather - because of the incredible pace of fashion evolution, one in which only the silhouettes blessed with functionality and solid aesthetic appeal could survive. (c) Viral Bhayani At first glance, Bobby seemed to have worn a pair of sweatpants, pulled all the way above the calves - but on closer inspection, it was revealed that he has in fact pulled off the unthinkable: wore a pair of capri pants, while making it look super cool. (c) Viral Bhayani When was the last time you saw someone wear a pair of capri pants without attracting attention (the bad kind)? Bobby sure did turn the situation around. We love the colour and the fit of the pants, and the zipper details are only giving the construction a modern, street edge, which is what athleisure is all about. (c) Viral Bhayani Coming to his overall outfit, we love that he has kept it basic, minimal, but absolutely classy with black on top. Plus, what would you rather wear with this outfit other than this particular pair of sneakers that Bobby is wearing here? They go perfectly well with the super casual, playful vibe of the outfit. (c) Viral Bhayani Moral of the story: In fashion, nothing is outdated, if you know how to bring it back.
  8. If you are a beginner or have recently joined the gym, you may have been given a cookie cutter training plan which would be one-day weights, one-day abs, and cardio, repeat. And there is a good chance that you have been sold a standard personal training plan along with this. You go to the gym and follow this plan religiously, following the cardio and abs workout. Doing 15 minutes of cardio on three different machines followed by hundreds of ab crunches. But, is this doing you any good? © Pixabay Here are a few reasons that why cardio and abs day are a waste of your time: 1) Too Much Cardio Can Be Detrimental For Your Recovery As you are dedicating a completely different day for cardio, you get the itch of going all out on the same. You go at it with full intensity and thus increase the risk of an injury as well as delayed recovery. The next day that you get into the gym, you are too sore or fatigued to do justice to your training session. Your performance will eventually go for a toss later which in turn can have a negative effect on your muscle and strength gains. 2) Defeats The Purpose Of Doing Cardio Cardio is good for your cardiovascular health and if you are someone who is interested in gaining muscle and looking lean and ripped, cardio is better used as a supplement to your training and not your entire training session alone. If you are interested in building an impressive physique, you should focus more on lifting weights and compliment it with 2-3 mini cardio sessions per week. You can do 2-3 LISS aka low-intensity steady state cardio sessions for 20 to 30 minutes each or 1-2 HIIT aka high-intensity interval training sessions for 10 to 20 minutes each. 3) You Are Already Working On Your Abdominals The main function of your abdominal muscles is to provide stabilization when lifting free weights. If your workout routine consists of compound exercises, you are engaging your core already. It only makes sense to double down on it and do some direct ab work at the end of the workout. Dedicating a separate day to it just does not make logistical sense. © YouTube 4) Your Trainer Is Escaping A Dedicated Session With You By Cheating You If your trainer charges you per session and includes the cardio and abs day as one of the sessions in your training, better change your trainer. He is simply looting you by charging for a session where you can independently do all the work without his assistance. A trainer's job is to ensure he teaches you more about exercise safety, form, technique, progression schemes and the likes. Not telling you that hop on three different machines for 15 minutes each and run like a bunny. 5) You Can Use These Days Instead To Break The Monotony Instead of dedicating a day to cardio and abs, you can rather pick up an activity or a sport or a hobby that gives you a break from the monotony of being in the gym six days in a week and it became all the more boring for you to stick to it. If you lose the inspiration, you may start skipping sessions and sooner or later fall off the fitness wagon altogether. 9. We all sustain our beliefs on different theories to function a certain way. For instance, nature vs. nurture, left brain vs. the right or even the 'flat earthers' theory (idiots) and many more. But the one theory I can never wrap my head around, is that of the alpha male vs. the beta male. Why? Because I think it pre-defines a man's journey to become a certain way, and how is that even remotely okay? I am not here to diss the alpha male syndrome. But I surely think I can debunk a few myths about why alphaism or forced alphaism, is just a wrong notion to follow, for the rest of your life. © Pinterest Let me simplify this for you. The theory states that there are two prominent personality types for men- the alpha and the beta. The alphas are supposed to be on top of the social status of hierarchy and they're believed to be the stronger and dominant pack. They have greater access to money, power, friends and women are easily attracted to them. A power suit with a power play, that apparently is a more inherent trait of an alpha male. The beta, in contrast, is more submissive and sensitive in nature. They're your typical 'nice guys' most women don't want to date, but maybe settle with and get married to, because they're more accepting and aren't constantly competing for what's best out there. © Thinsktock The concept of the alpha male emerged in the 70s when a researcher studied a group of wolves in the wild. The wolf pack showed very dominant traits or that's what he thought and believed. But his theory was proven wrong when a new theory emerged dismissing the last one. Wolves are predominantly family oriented creatures. If you notice, they always roam about in packs. Well, you will see that through the street dogs in your cities, who are direct descendants of wolves, and are also found in packs. The theory negates any alpha traits the wolf might have, be it male or female. In fact, they pair up often and show alpha traits they may have as 'parents' and not individually, to protect their offspring's. © Sam Raimi films So, if we do talk about an alpha male, the theory dismisses itself because the origin of the story is phenomenally wrong! Yes, it's true we look for a mate to procreate and much like the wolves, we work in pairs to protect our offspring, but the fact that boys are fed the notion of the 'alpha, dominating male', preconditions them into believing they have to be a certain type, to achieve any kind of success in life. This is not just unhealthy, it's a very wrong way to perceive the concept of upbringing. A boy should be brought up in an environment where he recognises all his emotions and learns to deal with them healthily. When mothers disperse the idea of 'boys don't cry' from their child's mind, they (boys) automatically think to show any form of emotion is a sign of weakness, something a beta male would often indulge in. © Sony Pictures Releasing The truth of the matter is, every alpha has the trait to be a beta and every beta can be an alpha if he wants to. And to bust even a larger myth is saying that yes, women are easily attracted to alphas more because of their dominating nature or their display of power and prowess, but eventually they don't want to be with a man who cannot interact with kindness or can't display emotions when he needs to, or even be an emotional support for her when she needs one. While women do choose an alpha male for a casual fling, it's the beta, more prestigious and sophisticated male they go for to procreate with. And that's not a conscious decision, that's an inherent need, biologically. An 'alpha' so to speak can draw their attention with style and status and of course, power but a beta category will still win their hearts and psyche. © MensXP But since we're debunking and dismissing the concept of alpha and beta, there is an easier way to do this. There is an easier way to be the alpha in your life, by being assertive when you need to, showing power where you have to and being macho when you want to, but you can also condition yourself to carry forth some beta traits, which could pendulum from showing emotions when you need to, being kind when you have to and being submissive when you want to. © Eros International So, to say you're a certain type of a male is innately wrong. You're what you condition yourself to be. The conditioning that allows you to foster your own belief systems and aspirations turns you into the man you want to become. Ideally, doing away with the alpha and the beta personality types and structuring your mind to inherit both the qualities assertively, is what makes a man both dominant and sensitive, at the same time.
  10. It seems like The United States of America is in a weird alternate timeline because nothing seems to be going right there and nothing makes sense. The President himself has been accused of sexual misconduct from several women and he was still elected to lead the country because people can just be so damn stupid at times. And now, the President's nominee for the Supreme Court is the biggest name in the country and the world right now for all the wrong reasons. If you're not living under a rock, you probably have heard at least something about the drama that's going down with Brett Kavanaugh. But, just to sum it up quickly, here's what has gone down – - Christine Blasey Ford reaches out to her congresswoman with concerns about Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court. - Just a couple of days after that, President Trump announces Kavanaugh as his pick for the Supreme Court. - Fast forward a couple of months, Ford's accusations are made public and then another woman, Deborah Ramirez, also comes out with her story about Kavanagh's misconduct. - Kavanaugh has obviously denied all the allegations. - There's a report detailing a drunken bar fight involving Kavanaugh and three other young men during his time at Yale. Yeah, so a lot has happened with this guy and I feel like he should be considered guilty until proven innocent, which seems highly unlikely. But, what do you do when the situation is so screwed up and there's not much you can do about it? Show your anger online? Wrong, that doesn't work. 11. Fancy luxury cruises are something we haven't had in India ever, so mostly all the desi people here have to go to other countries to experience the chill life on the seas. But finally, someone has stepped up in bringing one of the most luxurious things to India and I mean, I just have to say one thing – it was about time. The country's first cruise line between Mumbai and Goa is ready to set sail in less than two weeks and its first pictures are here, and they truly are breath-taking. The ship named Angriya will go on its maiden voyage on 12th October. Also, the name is not random as it's rather symbolic. Angriya is named after Kanhoji Angre, or Conajee Angria, the first Admiral of the Maratha Navy. He was called a pirate by the foreign troops but at home, he was the 'Shivaji Samudra', or Shivaji of the Indian Ocean. It has six decks and is meant to ferry 399 passengers. It also has over a 100 cabins in a lot of different categories, ranging from dorms and pods to family rooms and suites. From an infinity pool to a well-equipped spa to a quiet reading room, so basically everything you need to relax. But that doesn't mean it's all about having some downtime onboard; there are six bars and a lounge to turn up as well. A one-way ticket for the cruise will approximately cost anywhere between Rs 7,000 (for a bed in the dorm) to Rs 11,000 (for a suite) per person, which includes three meals. 12. Shah Rukh Khan has been hailed as the unrivalled king of romance in Bollywood for the longest time, and he gives the term 'ladies man' a classy boost. He has always been respectful of the women in his life, from his family to his co-stars, and it comes as no surprise that he is one of the most beloved and respected actors in the industry. So, it is only understandable to find fans getting curious about what the actor's stance is on a string of social issues, including gender equality is. © Instagram So, recently when asked about what he thinks of the gender pay gap in the country and across industries, he made his stance on the subject very clear. Khan reiterated the fact that he believes people must be paid for their work based on their talent and merits, instead of deciding the dues on the basis of people's gender. © Instagram While it has been established time and again that King Khan is known for his wit, as he is known for his acting skills and charming ways with his female colleagues, this also comes as a welcome remark for the feminist movement, to have a Bollywood A-Lister voice their stance on the wage disparity prevalent in our society, loud and clear on a public platform. © Instagram He was also quoted as saying that, “women make you think, and make you want to be a better person and for ages, and even now sadly, they do not get the dues or credit they deserve. Often they are served the raw deal, which is unfair for the whole society”. Kudos to the man for being unabashedly himself and calling a spade as one. © Instagram This comes after the announcement that the Lux Golden Rose Awards will use its platform to join hands with the UN's global gender equality movement, HeForShe. The affair is expected to work as a defining moment when the film fraternity comes together to support and celebrate the contributions of the female members of the industry and extend their solidarity. Shah Rukh's remarks are a total winner and we totally agree with what he says about pay being decided on merit and not gender. What are your views on the matter? Do let us know in the comment section.
  13. 'Thugs Of Hindostan' – a movie we've been hearing about since last year but knew very little about. I don't know why everything was kept under wraps so much but as we all know, some looks of the actors – mainly Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan – have been leaked before because what else do you expect from people? We're just a curious bunch and need to know everything. Every Aamir Khan movie is highly-anticipated one because he's one actor you can trust to only do exceptionally good movies and all the wait would totally be worth it. So, when the poster of this highly-awaited movie was finally unveiled yesterday, people obviously had a lot to say about it. It's okay though, Aamir. This is how people on the internet show their love; the language of trolling is what unites everyone. I'm pretty sure Aamir would be happy to know that he didn't end up becoming a meme, he only got some comments about how his character 'Firangi' resembles the iconic Jack Sparrow from 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. 14. Ranveer Singh is back. Well, he was always around, but he's back to 'being Ranveer' - which now that we come to think of, should be a legit expression that has to do with Mr Singh's crazy fashion escapades. There is a reason he's the first name that comes to anyone's mind whenever new age Indian fashion is being talked about, and he keeps on reiterating that - time and time again. No one is as fearless and as fiercely original as he is. He just stepped out wearing an insanely colourful ensemble, that we can't get over. Take a look: © Viral Bhayani Speechless, are you? Well, we don't blame you because that is the reaction this outfit warrants. One won't know where to look, because every inch of the outfit is full of super fun and playful designs and patterns - that somehow seems to be an extension of Ranveer's colourful persona. © Viral Bhayani The fact that he chose to wear an entire suit made of that crazy patterned fabric is proof of how gutsy he is, not that this is the first time he has gone ahead and worn something like this. But anyway, who else in Bollywood can pull it off without making it look super awkward? The answer, as Arya Stark would say, is 'no one'. © Viral Bhayani Ranveer chose to wear a plain white T-shirt (or is that a tank top) inside to balance out the insanity outside, which is working perfectly well for him. Anything else would be just out of place. © Viral Bhayani Coming to his footwear, we are in love with the Pharrell Williams x Adidas Afro HU NMD – EMPOWER INSPIRE sneakers. The Pharrell Williams series is Ranveer's favourite anyway, as has been evident from his outfits since months now. And why won't they be? They clearly take the top spot when it comes to 'cool sneakers'. © Viral Bhayani All we can say is Rohit Shetty couldn't have landed himself a better 'Simmba'.
  15. 'Bigg Boss 12' has started with a bang and we can't get enough of the delicious supply of drama. Like it or not, BB is the talk of the town and almost everyone around us is definitely talking about who is doing what inside the House. It's only been a couple of days and Anup Jalota, Jasleen Matharu and former Indian cricketer Sreesanth are making headlines. While Anup and Jasleen are the talk of the town for their 'relationship', Sreesanth is getting into heated arguments, as expected. He simply can't seem to have people messing around him and recently, he ended up having an argument with commoner Somi Khan. I think I just had a bad day. It was the wrong timing and wrong choice of song.” Well, it will be interesting to see if Sree is willing to pay the massive amount in exchange for his freedom, or if he finds a way to survive in the House.
  16. When it comes to being a Casanova, most of you would name Barney Stinson from 'How I Met Your Mother', while some of you would name Joey Tribbiani from 'Friends'. But there was a man who did it all with barely any effort and knew how to use his strengths. Charlie Harper from 'Two and a Half Men! The Man, the legend, the myth! We can't completely call it a fictional character, as Charlie Sheen, who played Charlie Harper, was not that different from his on-screen avatar in real life. Perhaps that's why he just nailed the role. ***, booze, drugs, and gambling are the character's hobby. In a world which is full of competition, Charlie picked up girls better than the guys in deodorant advertisements. Let's see what we can learn from him: 1. Live Like There's No Tomorrow © Warner Bros. If one thing Charlie knew apart from picking up women was how to party. The man drank like a fish and had a life with no regrets. Be it women, pot, cigars, drinks, he did it all with an open heart. But he never let it affect his work. The man knew the importance of money and always managed to make it in abundance. The lesson here is, live like there's no tomorrow but earn like you might live for a hundred years. 2. Use Your Assets Wisely © Warner Bros. Women find kids adorable and Charlie certainly knew it. The man used his nephew to pick up women countless times. Be it in a grocery store or convincing him to take belly dancing lessons, just so he could have a date with the instructor, he didn't miss one single chance. If you want to succeed in life, know what your assets are and use them wisely. 3. Relationships © Warner Bros. Most of us fall with the idea of being in a relationship, and not with the person. Charlie taught us to wait, have fun, and eventually, you'll know when the right person comes along. It's better to wait than to settle down with the wrong person. Be sure that you want to actually spend the rest of your life with the person you're going to propose. Don't rush into anything. 4. Family Is Everything © Warner Bros. No matter how much he made fun of his brother, he always took care of him. He even broke up his engagement for his brother's sake. And the way he was a role model to his nephew, despite his shortcomings, was commendable. Charlie's relationship with his mother wasn't smooth and yet he managed to be there for her, every time she actually needed him. For him, if you look deeply, HIS family came first. Same should be the case with you. 5. Sense of Humour © Warner Bros. We are aware of Chandler Bing's sense of humour & sarcasm but if anyone used it correctly to pick up women, it was Charlie. Be it making fun of someone, or making a woman laugh or a cruel comeback to his mother's comments, he was quite the master at it. © Warner Bros. Watch the series, you'll definitely pick up some funny pick-up lines. 6. The I-Don't-Give-A-****-Attitude © Warner Bros. No matter what happened, Charlie always did what he wanted to do. He was single on his own terms, got engaged on his own terms and broke the engagement on his own terms. People called him a degenerate man-whore who fell into a pot of money, but he didn't care. He lived the way he wanted to and was never bothered by the fact that what 'people' might say.
  17. We usually have a lot to say to the ones we love and the most obvious way to begin, seems to be with an “I love you”, which is only fair 'cause that's just how the matters of the heart have been dealt with, since time immemorial. This is the universal 'Step 1' of confessing your love to your beloved and we wouldn't dare to challenge it. However, we felt that since times are changing and our generation relates better to puns and catchphrases, isn't it time that we figured out other witty yet effective ways of expressing our feelings around such themes, that are more than just those 'three special words'? Read on to find out about 15 other witty alternatives to 'I love you' and still express your feelings in the most genuine and heartfelt way: © Mensxp Can you say it any better than that? You will love to be that person who lights them up from within and so much so, that they lose sight of the reality. Sounds like love no? © Mensxp Well, that should be impactful coming from you, especially if this is the best you can manage in the kitchen, apart from that hard boiled egg you get right occasionally? © Mensxp You know it right? You would rather not move out of the house and not bother the stubble that is not going to meet a razor for another few weeks if possible. But for her, you are more than willing to look presentable and suave. © Mensxp Yes, that is something any girl would love to hear, and be sure to let her know whenever it happens with this line, and that is sure to be the highlight of her day. Because who doesn't love to know they can make another person happy? © Mensxp If you can't figure out the right words to express your feelings, this witty line will surely come to your rescue. © Mensxp Ah, this one is a good way to let her know you are in it for the long haul. But be sure to say this only if you really mean it. What's the point in hurting someone's feelings? © Mensxp Yes, there are girls who are into such movies and if you are with someone who shares this passion, then this might just be the perfect way of confessing to her! © Mensxp At times when you really want to tell her how beautiful she has made your life by being in it, and simple words fail you, this is the line to go with. © Mensxp She will be around for you through thick and thin, so what could be a better way of expressing your appreciation than this line? © Mensxp Yes, the couple that drinks together stays together. So tell her that with this line and you're sure to get a great big hug and all the rest that follows too hopefully. *winks* © Mensxp Nerd/studious girlfriends exist. So what could be a nicer way of expressing yourself to them than in a language they are accustomed to? © Mensxp When she looks uber hot, that is what you've gotta say to her, instead of whatever is actually running through your mind! © Mensxp She's got crazy cooking skills? Well, this one is surely a win-win to compliment both all at once. © Mensxp When you are in too deep and staying apart is a pain, this is how you convey that without sounding creepy. © Mensxp Again, only say this if you mean it. Both these things are matters of life and death, so if you really mean that you'll hit pause during a movie/match to take her call, this is just what you need. Nice right? Use 'em!
  18. The Razer Phone has been off to an amazing start since its launch. The brand has always been known for its gaming rigs and accessories, and with the Razer Phone, the company has carved out a niche for itself. Following the Razer's approach to mobile gaming, many other companies like ASUS and Xiaomi have also started focusing on gaming phones. In a recent earnings report, Razer confirmed that the Razer Phone 2 was in production. The Razer Phone was launched last year, and a new successor is expected to be just around the corner. It's become very normal for us to see a plethora of leaks and reports before every launch, same is the case with Razer. While there hasn't been any information on the new design, we do know a few of the specifications that the phone would boast. © Razer According to AnTuTu, a benchmarking app, the phone has a 5.7 inch Sharp IGZO LCD screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The phone will also have a 120Hz refresh rate thanks to Qualcomm's Q Sync display technology. The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset along with 8GB RAM and a humungous 512GB internal storage. The phone has also been spotted on another benchmarking app, Geekbench, that confirms the phone will be having a Snapdragon 845 chipset and 8GB RAM. The listing also revealed the phone will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo. One thing is sure, the phone will receive the Android 9 Pie update soon after its launch, or the company could surprise us by shipping it out of the box. © YouTube The phone is expected to have an 8-megapixel selfie camera and 12-megapixel dual rear shooters with dual-tone flash and wide-angle lens. There have been rumours floating around suggesting there could be a major design change and the company's Chroma LED lighting system will be incorporated. A few months back Min-Liang-Tan, the CEO of Razer had confirmed that the brand is working on bringing the phone to India. However, we haven't seen any progress there yet. The phone was earlier alleged to be launched at IFA Berlin, but that did not materialize, we expect it to launch in November though.
  19. Though nothing can beat the Anushka memes when it comes to the promotions (a happy accident, this one) of 'Sui Dhaaga', homeboy Varun Dhawan isn't taking any chances. He has been going all out - right from wearing tri-coloured T-shirts that say 'Made In India' to showing off his sewing skills in reality TV shows, Varun clearly is as dedicated as 'Mauji' is. Probably that's why he got himself a super hypebeast-y jersey (or is that a delightful spin on the longline T-shirt?) that says 'Mauji'? © Viral Bhayani The red and white jersey with black detailing is exactly the kind of playful number that new age streetstyle is all about. It fits the streets, the ramp, as well as the football field. © Viral Bhayani However, what stole our focus away from the 'Mauji' jersey were the shoes he is wearing. Varun is sporting a pair of edgy black studded boots from Givenchy. The statement high tops are a pair that are totally capable of stealing the thunder of all other pairs around it. Take a look. © Instagram Along with the boots, his black ribbed leather finish pants from Balmain are just the kind of pants that go with an outfit as statement as the one he's wearing. Let's just say his stylists Priyanka and Kazim of 'The Vainglorious' really know how to pull all the stops out. © Viral Bhayani All we can say is that we're loving the quirk Varun is bringing along with all his outfits these days. Well done!
  20. There is something about sports and women coming together that makes for such a killer combination, which is good enough to make guys sway towards the ones who seem to enjoy the game just as much as they do. While it is common knowledge that numerous famous actors, models, singers and the likes have invariably ruled over the hearts of our favourite sports stars, there remains something to be said of the kookiness that these star couples bring to the sporting arena. Be it cricket, football, tennis or any other sport of interest, fans have always been curious about the personal lives of their favourite stars, just as much as their professional achievements. Some of the most gorgeous women in the world are married to a great number of sportsmen, which only goes on to show that women are equally bowled over by the capabilities these sporting stars possess. It's true that these days, marrying older women is no longer looked down upon and some may even say that these sportsmen are “living the dream”, which many younger men have come to confess to (read Nick Jonas). So, here we bring you the names of 5 famous sportsmen who are romantically involved with women much older than them. 1. Sergio Ramos - Pilar Rubio Sois el motor de mi vida. 21. Karan Johar - being the cutthroat fashionista he is - doesn't really need style inspiration. In fact, he is inspiration to hoards of style enthusiasts, courtesy his ever increasing collection of edgy outfits. Given this scenario, when he himself refers to not one, but two people in terms of style inspiration, that's saying something! Includes intelligent cable and Wi-Fi antenna, routing © Alienware The Area 51 desktop is based on Intel's HEDT processors with up to 18 cores. It can be outfitted with up to two Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, 2080 and 2080 Ti graphics cards. Area 51 is Dell's flagship desktop so it is expected to cost even more than the Aurora. © Alienware The cheapest one will cost $5000 and is equipped with Intel's i9-7980XE CPU and NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1080 GPU. With the addition of the new RTX graphic cards, we can expect the price to go even higher and become even more powerful when it comes to processing graphics. Dell says the refreshed systems will be able to tackle 8K and 12K gaming, which in our opinion is a bit of an overkill.
  24. Bollywood makes two kinds of movies—one that's your typical masala movie, and other that changes the way we look at and understand cinema. Director Nandita Das is one of those few directors who picks up subjects that no one would and turn it into gold. Yeah, she is immensely talented and one powerhouse of a talent. Even when she was an actor, Das picked movies that mattered and had content that described cinema in a meaningful manner. And now when she has worn a director's hat, things haven't really changed much. Content comes first and her latest film 'Manto' is one such example. We bet you have already watched the hard-hitting trailer of the movie. Nawazuddin Siddiqui as writer Saadat Hasan Manto is incredible, to say the least. From looks, posture, aura to body language and attitude, Nawaz's resemblance to the Indo-Pakistani Urdu author is uncanny. “Sawal yeh hai, jo cheez jaisi hai usse waise hi pesh kyu na kiya jaye?” the dialogue still echoes and if it wasn't for Nawaz, the trailer wouldn't have had the same effect on us. Well, at times we do know the person but the actors bring those people back to life, introducing us to them like never before. The movie takes us through the most difficult four years of Manto's life after India-Pakistan partition. The trailer digs deep into the famous author's philosophy, his perspective of looking at life and his representation of women in the stories he wrote. We witness his struggle to support his family without compromising on his philosophies and rebelliously questioning the society and its outlook. © Viacom18 Motion Pictures The filmmaker brings an extraordinary story and looks like the cast understands its importance and the essence of what value this story holds. And you would be surprised to know that Nawaz charged Re 1 for the film and Rishi Kapoor didn't even charge a penny for it. "This is the character that an actor would give an arm and leg for. But to not charge even a nominal fee is very gracious of Nawaz. Rishi Kapoor and Gurdas Maan said yes in our first meeting. I also reached out to many whom I knew well and have used up all my goodwill to get a stellar cast that truly does justice to the characters in the film," Nandita said in a statement to IANS. © Viacom18 Motion Pictures And getting Javed Akhtar was nothing less than a great addition, "I thought it would be quite interesting to have a progressive writer of today defending 'Manto'. You will see him in a new avatar. So not like Javed saab." "Trust me, there is more to life than money! The compensation comes in the form of experience and the joy of working on interesting projects. I, too, have done many such projects and have never looked for 'monetary compensation'," added Nandita. © Twitter When we hear such stories, we wish there were more actors like these who could understand the prominence and gravity of cinema. We aren't saying commercial success doesn't matter, but from time to time actors can surely give content more importance than money. Wouldn't you agree?
