SRK Once Sold Tickets For His Own Film & That Proves Why He’s Called ‘King Khan’
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
There is a reason why Shah Rukh Khan is addressed as the ‘king’ of Bollywood. The man is an epitome of humility and wisdom when it comes to understanding his craft. There are many superstars in this industry, but he’s one of the biggest stars in the world. While he’s been MIA from the big screen for the longest time, his fans trust him to come back with a bang. Talking about fans and his connection with them, King Khan once sold tickets for his movie Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa himself while standing outside a theatre. The 1994 romantic comedy starring SRK, Suchitra Krishnamurthy, Deepak Tijori and Naseeruddin Shah continues to be one of the most famous films of all time, and also won many awards. Shah Rukh Khan once sold advance tickets for Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa at Mumbai’s famous Gaiety Galaxy theatre and this promotional strategy won big time. He sat at the ticketcounter, signed tickets for his fans and even got paid around Rs 25,000. Interestingly, not many people know this but Shah Rukh was not the first choice for the lead role. The movie was originally planned out for actors Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. However, rumour has it that Aamir wasn’t too keen on this and Juhi had schedule problems. This movie was a big hit with fans and was even remade in Telugu as Swapnalokam in 1999. SRK will now be seen in YRF’s action-packed Pathan with John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. You have heard celebrities enjoying the perks of their stardom, courtesy the fanbase they enjoy. However, how many times have you heard of a normal human being enjoying some perks in life simply because they belong to the homeland of a certain celebrity? We know how SRK‘s global presence is unmatched and he is probably the biggest superstar produced on this planet. One of the stellar examples of how far his fans are willing to go in the name of some love for him was reiterated recently when an Indian tourist shared her travel tale. Turns out, the ‘desi’ tourist needed to transfer some money to an agent in Egypt for her trip and due to some technical issues she was facing, it couldn’t happen. The man happily helped her with booking without an advance payment. Why? Simply because she belonged to SRK’s country and he is a huge fan. Needed to transfer money to a travel agent in Egypt. Was having problems with the transfer. He said: you are from the country of @iamsrk. I trust you. I will make the booking, you pay me later. For anywhere else, I wouldn't do this. But anything for @iamsrk. & he did!#SRK is — Ashwini_Deshpande (@AshwDeshpande) December 31, 2021 When she shared her experience, Twitter users came forward to express their love and surprise, and also some shared similar experiences. Not everyone in Bollywood can do stunts on their own. Not just in action scenes, but sometimes, in their absence, the role is played by a body double who closely resembles the celebrity. In Bollywood movies, too, we have witnessed several stars with their body doubles. For example, there was a time when Meezaan Jaffrey played Ranveer's body double in Padmaavat. Even Salman Khan's dangerous stunts are mostly performed by his body double Parvez Kazi. © Instagram/Salman_Fc © Instagram/Varun Dhawan But did you know that someone famous played Jimmy Sheirgill's body double in the movie My Name Is Khan? Yes, it was Varun Dhawan. He ventured into Bollywood in 2012 with Student Of The Year, but before that, he was Karan Johar's assistant for My Name Is Khan. However, in one of the scenes, Varun's face is a tad bit visible. An Instagram page shared this video, and it even had an image from the scene. © Instagram/Jimmy Sheirgill As soon as this post went live, fans were shocked to see it. One user commented, Oh my god! I never noticed." While another one said, "What an observation bro @bollywoodranker." © Instagram/bollywoodranker #9YearsOfMNIK a film I learnt soo much on. It practically changed my life. Transport department officials recently seized a Rolls Royce Phantom, which was earlier owned by superstar Amitabh Bachchan. But, the documents of the car were not changed to the name of the realtor who later purchased the car from him. The transport department seized around seven luxury cars for non-payment of due taxes and also not carrying out relevant documents. © Unsplash The seize was conducted near UB City on Vittal Mallya Road on Sunday evening. A transport department official said, “The Rolls-Royce Phantom car bearing a Maharashtra registration number was stopped for checking. The driver, who introduced himself as Salman Khan, failed to produce documents and said that his father had bought the car from Bachchan. The car was still in the name of the actor and the current owner had not transferred the car ownership to his name, though it was bought in 2019.” Further, the officials found out that the car has been bought by Yusuf Shariff alias D Babu, who runs Umrah Developers. “As per rules, vehicles with registration numbers of other states cannot ply beyond 11 months from the date of change of ownership,” the official added. The official also said, “But the car had exchanged hands in February 2019. It is found that the actor had sold the car for Rs 6 crore and the letter signed by him was produced by Babu. He has been asked to produce all valid documents and further action will be initiated if he fails to produce the documents.” During the drive, seven luxury cars, like Porsche, Land Rover, and Jaguar that were parked near UB City were seized. They were impounded for plying without paying taxes, not having valid documents and insurance. It was found that most of the vehicles had no valid insurance and five were registered in Puducherry, where road tax is less. On Monday, owners of three vehicles produced documents and renewed their lapsed insurance, the official said. View the full article

Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Bollywood, is loved by billions of people across the globe and all have different reasons for admiring the superstar. Some love his acting, while others idolise his persona. For Dinesh Karthik, it was SRK’s large-heartedness and caring nature that made him a big fan of the Bollywood legend. Karthik plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League, which is co-owned by the Bollywood actor and we all have seen how passionate he is about his team and the players. © IMDB The former KKR skipper shared an unbelievable gesture by SRK that won him over and further increased the respect he had for him. The wicketkeeper-batsman was going through a tough phase in his personal life when SRK booked a private jet and flew people all the way from Chennai to Dubai at his own expense. The 36-year-old cricketer said he had never set foot on a private jet and was deeply touched by the heartfelt gesture from the Bollywood star. © Instagram Dinesh Karthik "There are not many large-hearted people like him in the world right now. And the world needs more people like him. Very genuine, he looks out for you. Whatever happened in my personal life, he flew people over from Chennai to Dubai on a private jet at his own expense for me," Karthik said on a podcast named ‘22 Yarns with Gaurav Kapur.’ "I don't know how many franchises would do something like that. But that for me was unbelievable, unreal. I didn't expect it. I had never sat on a private jet in my life. But just the fact that he was able to do that for me and he just completely won my heart over. I could do anything for him, he's a terrific human being," he added. © Reuters Shah Rukh Khan, despite being one of the biggest celebrities in the world, treats his players as his family members and Karthik was right in saying that not many franchise owners take care of their players in the same manner as KKR does. One can’t deny that the world would be a better place with more human beings like SRK in it, who know how to make people feel special and bring smiles on their faces. View the full article

The 2021 Indian Premier League Auction has already seen the franchises making some massive moves for those who had qualified for the bidding with the hopes of improving their rosters just enough to get their hands of the prestigious trophy later in the year. One of the most active franchises during the auction has to be the newly rebranded Punjab Kings who had some strong players like KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal leading their attack last season but lost momentum in the final leg of the tournament. View this post on Instagram So it was obvious that the franchise owners would look for the missing pieces at the auction and empty their purses on the right candidates. One such candidate is the 25-year old Chennai-born batsman Shahrukh Khan who has scored 293 runs in 31 T20 matches with a strike rate of 131.40 and a personal best innings of 40*. So when Royal Challengers Bangalore got into a bidding war with Punjab for the young hitter, franchise owner and Bollywood actor Preity Zinta got involved aggressively, making sure that they would have the Chennai lad on their side for Rs. 5.25 crore. Now because of the fact that the righty-batsman has the same that of Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan, internet trolls did not have to spend too much time coming up with jokes which almost wrote themselves.
