  1. AirPods is now more of a cultural phenomenon than any other product from Apple's portfolio. It was Apple's solution for removing the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and since then, it has taken the world with storm. Apple has now offered a new version of the AirPods that offers a lot of features which it already did along with a few incremental upgrades. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The new AirPods offer more talk time and have a new H1 Chip that enables quicker Siri access. It comes with a wireless charging case that can be charged using any Qi-wireless charger. The new updates may not be enough of a reason to upgrade if you already own AirPods, but the new iteration still holds the throne of wireless earbuds. Setting It Up Is Easy And Flawless © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The one feature I love the most on the AirPods is the easy setup process that nobody has been able to match up to so far. Each time you open the case, the AirPods automatically connect to your iPhone. Being an integral part of Apple's ecosystem, the AirPods also automatically pair with other Apple devices, thanks to iCloud. You can easily switch between devices without the need of setting it up for each said device. It works with the iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and even Android smartphones (without the support of easy setup). When pairing the AirPods with other Apple devices, you don't need to press a button or wait for it to be discovered. It just connects and works. So, What's The Difference? © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Visually, not much has changed on the new AirPods apart from the new wireless charging case. It now has an LED light on the front instead of inside the case. The case can be charged via a lightning cable or wirelessly using a Qi charging pad. The case has the same amount of battery reserve as the previous case i.e. it offers up to 24 hours of total battery life. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Like before, if you take one of the earbuds, the auto-pause feature kicks in, however, it only works with Apple devices. As for usability, the new AirPods offer the same controls as the previous generation where you can assign actions like double tap to skip a track on any of the earbuds. You can play/pause with a single tap and also fire up Siri by saying “Hey Siri.” Instead of giving volume controls on the AirPods, you can now ask Siri to turn down/up the volume. You simply have to say “Hey Siri, turn it down” and Siri will do the rest for you. We prefer this feature over manual controls as it prevents accidental touches which in turn would either pause the music or skip the track. What Does The H1 Chip Do? © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Apple H1 chip is one of the upgrades on the new AirPods that enable users to bring up Siri. The new chip can do a lot more such as extend the call time by 50 per cent. The chip also enables lower gaming lag and offers a faster connection for phone calls. The chip also improves call quality, especially in windy conditions. The H1 chip is capable of eliminated distortion caused by winds which makes your voice clearer. We tried this feature on a few phone calls sitting right under a speedy fan and no one heard any breeze on the other end of the call. Sound Quality © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Even though Apple says that there is no difference in sound quality, we felt that the sound on the new AirPods was much crisper. Maybe our previous AirPods began to age and we noticed the stark difference in sound quality, however, it's still among the best hearing wireless earbuds. Of course, there is some sound leakage simply because of the design of the earbuds. We would have preferred a better fit on the new AirPods which in turn would also prevent sound leakage. In terms of sound, the new AirPods have warmer undertones with a slight emphasis on bass. AirPods are best used for listening to track with vocals as the midrange and treble are clean and balanced. The overall sound does lack definition, however, that's due to the sound leakage we mentioned before. The overall sound may not please audiophiles, but the AirPods 2 is a matter of convenience over performance. For better sounding earbuds, we would recommend you something from Senheisser but it lacks all the bells and whistles such as good battery life, ease of connectivity and accessibility. The Final Say If you're already deeply embedded in the Apple Ecosystem, the new AirPods are your best bet at convenient audio. It offers old and new tech for Rs 18,900 and will be available to buy in India soon. The new AirPods, in our opinion, is still the king of wireless earbuds as it offers balanced features such as good battery life, respectable performance and decent sound. The competition may be getting harder but it's still hard to beat the AirPod's convenience and accessibility. The Galaxy Buds are a strong contender for the new AirPods and we will compare them soon to let you know which one is better.
  2. When it comes to royal Indian fashion, the first name that comes to our mind is that of Padmanabh Singh, the Maharaja of Jaipur. Also known as 'Pacho', the 20-year-old King has been making quite an impact in the international fashion arena. Right from setting the ramps of Milan on fire, to being the fiercest royal fashionista, he is the epitome of royal elegance. He recently posted pictures of the Holika Dahan that took place at the City Palace, Jaipur, and he looks straight out of an opulent Bhansali flick in them. Take a look. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur We are in love with the ivory sherwani paired with the silk white churidar, along with the royal safa accentuated with a red Bandhani dupatta. Also, the golden buttons and brooch, along with the bejewelled purple sword-sheath, are perfection. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur His outfit, honestly, is a reflection of the inimitable grandeur that the Indian royalty is all about. The splendour of the palace, in all its sheer luxuriousness, is perfectly mirrored in the way the Maharaja has clothed himself. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur The huge fire of Holika Dahan, along with the royal fireworks, is a reminder of the glory that pervaded all throughout India once upon a time. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur All we can say is, nothing can match the magnificence of these rituals, and the clothing that were a part and parcel of the proceedings.
  3. If you ever wished for Monday to be eliminated from the calendar altogether, trust me you're not alone. There's some air around this day that makes everyone hate it. I mean, there has to be something seriously wrong with this day if people look for motivation to survive through the day. So much so that they make '#MondayMotivation' trend every week, every month and every year. Talking about the hashtag 'Monday Motivation', one honorary contribution was made today by Abhishek Bachchan. The actor took to social media to share this inspiring quote with Floyd Mayweather's picture in the background. The quote read, "To be the best you have to work overtime." #MondayMotivation pic.twitter.com/omFsCjfGfY — Abhishek Bachchan (@juniorbachchan) April 8, 2019 If only reading these inspiring quotes made us half as productive as our bosses expect us to be, things will be so much more convenient and better for us. And looks like we are not alone in thinking this way. Bollywood's King Khan aka Shah Rukh Khan too feels the same way, at least his tweet does. Shah Rukh Khan was quick to reply to Bachchan's tweet and wrote, "Thanks baby. Got this. Now please motivate me to Work On Time too!!" We feel you SRK, the struggle is way too real. Thanks baby. Got this. Now please motivate me to Work On Time too!! https://t.co/9qejCH9tIx — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) April 8, 2019 Everytime we find something interesting on the internet, the first thing you do is tag our work BFF and then wait for them to comment and react to it. Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan's twitter interaction too looks like what we have with our work BFFs everyday.
  4. Jim Sarbh is the king of quirk, and no, we're not referring only to his choice of roles. When it comes to matters of style and fashion, the man is as non-mainstream as his roles are. Right from rocking gender-fluid ensembles to wearing clothes that manage to steal the collective thunder of the entire Bollywood. His latest avatar, however, is something we have never seen before. Take a look. © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal Jim is legit looking like an edgy Indian king, wearing statement sherwanis by Shantanu & Nikhil. The impeccably stitched pieces spell elegance and royalty like nothing else, and we're obsessed with the innovative layering game. © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal What stands out is the subtlety of the ensembles, in terms of the colour palette. The fact that they can look super conspicuous in spite of that, in terms of sheer design elements, is noteworthy. © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal Modern Indian grooms can definitely take a leaf out of Jim's book when it comes to standing apart, as opposed to opting for the same old tried and tested outfits. The draping in some of the outfits are so unusual, that they are effortlessly ramp-ready. © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal All we can say is, Jim's style game surely does look like it was 'made in heaven'. 5. Winter is finally coming knocking on every 'GOT' fan's door ever since the first trailer dropped and left us gasping for more. From the conniving smile of Cersei, a running Arya Stark thirsty for some revenge to Khaleesi and Jon Snow's fate, the tiny teaser dropped a hint of everything yet revealed nothing! The 'GOT' makers have now released an in-depth prosthetics video which gives you a peek into how the outer mould for many characters are built, including the mighty Night King. A video was released earlier which showed a little as to how the actor gets ready for the role, but this one here, is for the nerds. The war scenes, the images of the deceased or the injured, literally everything takes months of planning for the team who ensures that the authenticity of the characters and the show is strictly maintained. The average prosthetic makeup takes 6-8 weeks to build and over hours to put on the actors later. © HBO The mightily feared Night King is portrayed by actor Vladimir Furdik who bears the entire pain of putting on all that makeup and acting with it. Well, we can not only respect the actor more after watching this video but also give him a round of applause for his unbelievable patience.
  6. When it comes to budget smartphones and the Indian market, Xiaomi has managed to build a brand name that delivers smartphones with aggressive pricing. It's not only the pricing that matters, but smartphones also need to work and need to work well. Redmi, now a sub-brand of Xiaomi has managed to do just that, deliver great smartphones with an attractive price. However, Xiaomi steps up the game with the Redmi Note 7 Pro with upgraded specifications and a camera that can challenge even some of the top-tier smartphones. Xiaomi has also upgraded the design with captivating colours for users who prefer to be trendy and fashionable. It retails in India for Rs 13,990 and comes in different configurations. It has a 48-megapixel primary camera paired with a 5-megapixel sensor for portrait shots at the rear and a 13-megapixel sensor selfie shooter. We've been using the smartphone for a while to find out whether it's still the king of budget smartphones. Here's our review of the Redmi Note 7 Pro: Design And Display Xiaomi has completely overhauled the Redmi Note series with a beautiful gradient design that catches the light. It's something similar to what we've seen on other smartphones. However, the Redmi Note 7 Pro stands out from the crowd thanks to its bold colours. What's cool about the design is that the smartphone has an all-glass design both at the front and the back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. This makes the smartphone a tad bit heavier than the previous iterations; however, we like the solid feel to the smartphone. We particularly like the Nebula Red colour which we got to see at the launch event. At the front, Xiaomi as a dewdrop notch display that removes the additional bezels you may have seen in previous models. The design of the smartphone feels very premium and very similar to what you would find on the iPhone XR. It feels solid and does not feel like a budget smartphone from any angle. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Xiaomi also retains the headphone jack which is always a plus in our books and has now added Type-C support. We can finally transfer files faster and charge a Redmi smartphone quicker than ever before. In addition, the Redmi Note 7 Pro also has a p2i nano-coating which protects the smartphone from accidental spills. It's not water-resistant, but it will protect your smartphone from water spills in your bathroom. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla When it comes to the display, the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ LTPS LCD display with a resolution 1080x2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. For a smartphone that costs less than Rs 15,000, the display is quite sharp and accurate for an LCD. Sure, it's not the best you find as compared to flagship level smartphones but it does a fair job at colour reproduction and brightness. The colours on the display do not look oversaturated and look close to real-life. The brightness is also solid as it comes in handy when viewing it directly under sunlight. It has a brightness level of 477 nits which is quite impressive for an LCD panel. Camera © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Redmi Note 7 Pro's star attraction is its 48 MP rear Sony IMX 586 sensor that delivers some of the most amazing pictures we've seen on a budget smartphone. We've seen this sensor on the Honor View 20 before and it manages to deliver some great details and clarity in images. It captures the right colours and delivers some of the most beautiful pictures in HDR mode. In fact, sometimes we couldn't believe we shot these images with a budget smartphone. Most of these pictures were shown in 21MP however you can always take the full 48MP images by toggling the feature in the settings. Budget smartphones tend to struggle in low-light photography however Xiaomi has introduced its new Night Mode in MIUI 10. The new model does manage to take brighter images in low light which the budget smartphone was unable to do previously. The dynamic range also plays a crucial role in delivering these shots. It works very similar to Google's Night Shot as it combines different a series of images taken in different contrast levels to give you a better low-light image. Overall, we were quite pleased with the camera performance and even raises the question for the need of flagship level smartphones. Sure, flagship smartphones have great cameras but the gap is being closed quite rapidly thanks to smartphones like Redmi Note 7 Pro. Gallery View this post on Instagram Pictures shot using the #redminote7pro. Loving the night mode and it's quite decent from a phone that doesn't break the bank. #xiaomi #smartphones #gadgets #techie #technology #tech A post shared by Akshay Bhalla (@editorinchief) on Mar 10, 2019 at 11:44pm PDT Software Performance The Redmi Note 7 Pro ships with MIUI 10 and we would like to address the elephant in the room. MIUI 10 does have advertisements and if you wish to disable them you can do it by following these steps. Having said that, these advertisements are a bit annoying especially when you install a new application. Xiaomi has a security app that scans newly installed applications that have advertisements embedded within it. You can easily turn off the feature however it is a bit jarring when you kept getting bombarded with advertisements. If you want a seamless, experience, we suggested you follow the steps above. If you look beyond the ads, MIUI 10 looks quite clean and visually appealing with satisfying animations and overall stability. You have usual functions like dual apps and a new gesture navigation system that is easy to use. It's quite similar to what we've seen on the new iPhones but with slightly different animation and multi-tasking layout. Performance Equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 chipset, the Redmi Note 7 Pro delivers a great overall experience when it comes to performing tasks daily usage. While it works great with less CPU intensive apps, it lacks in processing graphics for fluid gaming. On PUBG mobile, the smartphone would often have massive frame rate drops in high settings and has the rubber-banding effect too. We would recommend you play GPU intensive games with lower settings. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 7 Pro does heat up a bit when playing games which were expected as it does not have a dedicated cooling system like the POCO F1. Regardless, the smartphone is good enough for casual games like Temple Run and can handle games like Asphalt 9 in medium setting. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla In terms of Geekbench scores, the Redmi Note 7 Pro scored 6520 in the multi-core test while it scored 2380 in the single core test. In our opinion, that's quite a respectable score for a smartphone that costs only Rs 13,990. The Redmi Note 4 Pro comes with 4,000 mAh battery which has remained unchanged from previous models. Battery life on the Redmi Note 7 Pro is exceptional with moderate usage as we had almost 6.5 hours of screen-on-time. We tested the smartphone with navigation, gaming and communication. In addition, it also supports QC4 however you need to buy a compatible charger separately. The Redmi Note 7 Pro was able to last almost two days on a single charge which is quite impressive for any smartphone. The Final Say If you are looking for a smartphone that can take awesome pictures, last 2 days on a single charge and can delivery awesome battery life, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is your best bet. The new smartphone has stepped up its game in the photography department and can perform well with moderate usage. Starting at Rs 13,9990 the Redmi Note 7 Pro is the king of budget smartphones right now.
  7. With over 50 movie and TV adaptations of his novels and short stories, it is now clear that Stephen King is the only living author whose works have been adapted for the screen more times than others. via GIPHY His list of film credits is only increasing with each year! Though the entire film is mostly shot inside a room, as Paul tries to escape the madness of his die-hard psychopath fan, the thrill and suspense make this film one of its kind. Kathy Bates went on to win an Academy Award for Best Actress for this career-defining role. 3. The Shawshank Redemption (1994) For several years now, 'The Shawshank Redemption' has maintained its place as the number one film on IMDb top 250. However, the glory of this film didn't come easily to it. via GIPHY Starring Tim Robbins (Andy Dufresne) and Morgan Freeman (Red) in lead roles, the film outlines how prisoners Andy and Red spend days inside the Shawshank State Penitentiary leading to Andy's ultimate escape. via GIPHY Directed by Frank Darabont, the film went on to become a cult classic and has remained a top choice amongst movie buffs. Out of the many gifts he has given to the world of horror fiction, his 1974 epistolary novel 'Carrie' has inspired two generations of film-makers. via GIPHY The first film based on the novel was made in 1976, starring Sissy Spacek as Carrie White. The film revolves around the life of a teenage girl who discovers her supernatural powers and eventually turns into a fatal and destructive force after being mocked at her school's party. via GIPHY Directed by Brian De Palma, the supernatural film was highly criticized but went on to get nominated in two categories at the 49th Academy Awards. It has been said to be the best ever adaptation of Stephen King's wide range of works. 'Carrie' is one great horror film of its time and can't be skipped by Stephen King fans. 6. Stand By Me (1986) Directed by Rob Reiner, this adaptation of Stephen King's novel 'The Body', became a family classic years after its release. 'Stand By Me' is the coming of age screenplay that outlines the journey of four kids played by River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Wil Wheaton, and Kiefer Sutherland and is set in 1959 backwoods Oregon. via GIPHY The film has been widely praised for its theme that highlighted children's issues and struggles while growing up and also managed to create a lasting impression on the kids of the 80s. via GIPHY The film was so powerful that even Stephen King was moved after watching such strong performances. Stephen King fans have waited too long for this film and now they await the next instalment. 8. Dolores Claiborne (1995) Directed by Taylor Hackford, 'Dolores Claiborne' is a psychological thriller drama adapted from King's novel of the same name. The movie comes with extraordinary performances by Kathy Bates (Dolores Claiborne) and Jennifer Jason Leigh (Selena). via GIPHY Selena is on a mission to investigate a murder, for which her mother Dolores has been accused. She later finds shocking truths about her own childhood. via GIPHY The film was named as the top ten greatest Stephen King film adaptations by Time magazine in 2013. It has been well received for its finely scripted plot and rich performances.
  8. Post-Apocalyptic shooter games are now becoming a common theme in games that have caused fatigue amongst seasoned players. However, whenever a new Metro game is set to release, we all seem to set that fatigue aside as the franchise has a fresh outlook towards the theme. Metro Exodus exudes that feeling as it's probably the only game that leaves a fearsomely oppressive feeling right off the bat. © MensXP You continue the story in the franchise with Artyom, set in the dark gritty world of post-apocalyptic Russia. You're in the dark underbelly of Moscow's metro system where you will encounter scary ghouls and in always in mortal danger from mutated beasts. 4A games left no stone unturned to give you the true feeling of fear as you will be battered right from the beginning of the game. You will encounter monsters in the dark and often find yourself stuck in sticky situations that don't work in your favour. You will either have a weapon that needs cleaning or your mask is about to break that needs repairing. It's not only the monsters that strike fear in you, but it's also every bit of the game such as mechanics and limited resources that add to the fear. Metro as a franchise was always set in the gritty underground world of tunnels and sewers where you would only get a glimpse of destroyed Moscow in cut-scenes and specific missions. However this time in Metro Exodus, 4A games takes you out of the world of gritty tunnels and puts you in a heavily-armoured train called the Aurora. You and a group of survivors venture out of Moscow to find survivors and link up with Command to find out what is going on. © 4A Games In the franchise, Moscow's tunnel dwelling survivors believed that they were the only ones that manage to live. However, as you play Metro Exodus, you learn early on that there are survivors elsewhere. This also translated to you taking the Aurora through semi open-world environments where you will struggle to find resources to fix the train throughout your journey to 'Command'. Don't mistake this for an open-world game as Metro Exodus still exudes the elation of skin-of-the-teeth survival and oppressive gameplay even when you are in the open. 4A games is known for making games that are terrifying and Metro Exodus is exactly what you want to see from this studio. It has linear sequences that are filled with scary encounters and the sandbox environments word is filled with outposts, tunnels and buildings where you need to scavenge resources. Whether you like it or not, you will be forced to visit these locations if you want to upgrade your weapons or need ammo. It's these locations where you will experience some of the most terrifying moments in the game. To compliment all the game mechanics, 4A has created some of the most beautiful environments with fine attention to detail. Having said that, the game was a little buggy in some areas (at least on PC) which sometimes hindered your overall experience. Since you visit different locations thanks to Aurora, the game keeps things interesting as you visit different locations in rural Russia. The survival mechanics is probably our favourite feature in the game that adds to your panic when you're trying to defend yourself. Gunplay seems realistic as well since you are using scrappy guns that you have crafted with different components found in the world. These guns are not your run-of-the-mill weapons that don't have a kick to it. This particularly adds even more panic when skirmishing with ghouls, human enemies and beasts. © 4A Games Crafting works very similar to what you may have experienced in 'The Last of Us', each time you must crouch, open your bag with resources and craft whatever you need to complete your mission. You can craft medkits, weapons or pump up weapons since everything in Metro is quite analogue and nothing has advanced in terms of technology. Having said that, it's the best implementation of survival crafting we've seen since TLOU. If you're looking for a game that offers stealth and survival, Metro Exodus marries the two concepts perfectly. Metro Exodus has its own caveats with some bugs and some extremely long sequences where your character does nothing but stand, it's still one of the most exceptional experiences we've had in a very long time. The characters in the world are exceptional with great voice acting and a world that looks beautiful on RTX graphic cards. With deep and complex levels and incredibly scary monsters, Metro Exodus is the only post Apocalyptic game you need to play this year.
  9. Winter might still be looming on our heads but the winter we all are waiting for is coming in April when the final season of 'Game Of Thrones' hits us with God knows what! The new pictures that were recently released gave away very little, just like the teaser which actually just teased us only a tab bit. Now as per Redditors, there's a new crazy theory around the birth and fate of Cersei's unborn child. According this theory, she might give her child to the Night King and in return become the only immortal in Westeros and rule like the queen that she is. While many theories about the Night King and even Jon Snow have been floating around, this one claims that with her love Jamie now gone, it is possible that he is killed in the big war and when the news arrives, she'll sacrifice her child to save her own soul. © HBO Some theories already claim that there is a pact between the White Walkers and the humans and the Night King's army will be returning for their periodical sacrifice. Now we know what you're thinking--even Khaleesi is pregnant, right? Well, but one of her dragons are already with him and given the fact that this child could mean everything to her, we doubt she'll give it away. The insanity shall roll over us starting 26th April. Till then, keep calm and carry on.
  10. If you are well aware of Jasleen Matharu and her weirdly interesting relationship with 'King of Bhajans' Anup Jalota, then you too, just like most of us, are guilty of binge-watching the 12th season of 'Bigg Boss'. While people might have their own biases when it comes to picking their favourite contestants, Anup Jalota and Jasleen were easily the most controversial and entertaining contestants on the show. Bigg Boss/Colors Anyway, the show is over and by the looks of it so are the two. We don't know about Anup Jalota, but Jasleen has surely moved on and her latest transformation is exactly how the 'revenge bod' strategy works. 12. The fact that Shah Rukh Khan continues to be the Baadshah of Bollywood to this day, even though it has been a few years since we last saw the best of him on-screen, comes as no surprise to most of us. Over the years, SRK has created a name for himself and a space in our hearts, which is rather difficult to do away with, all courtesy to his great performances. While we have often heard and witnessed crazy fan stories and a gazillion tales of SRK's admirers pulling out fun antics to get the actor's attention, nothing quite beats what Senior Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor witnessed during his recent visit to the hill station of Munnar in Kerala. © Red Chillies Entertainment It so happened that when the politician checked into his hotel room, he was surprised to find out that it looked much more like a “shrine” devoted to SRK and 'Chennai Express' than an upscale hotel room. By his own admission, the room came covered with Shah Rukh's posters and cut-outs all over. Apparently, when SRK was shooting for 'Chennai Express', he stayed in the said room, which was later converted into a shrine. Being surrounded by many reminders of the actor, Tharoor took to Twitter to talk about his experience. He even tagged SRK on the post and shared some pictures of the room, which definitely works as too good of a reminder of Shah Rukh and his hit film 'Chennai Express'. Check out the post and images here: Dear @iamsrk, when on a brief visit to Munnar yesterday I took rest in the room you occupied in 2013, which has been converted into a shrine for you & #ChennaiExpress! Every wall is decorated w/posters of the film &the suite is dominated by this cut-out of you. No place for rest! pic.twitter.com/hFUYCgXLEc — Shashi Tharoor (@ShashiTharoor) January 21, 2019 Frankly, we aren't very shocked to see the staff of the hotel turning this room into a shrine, given the kind of devoted fan-following SRK enjoys to this day. Though SRK's latest film 'Zero' didn't perform too well at the box office, he has decided to move on and focus on other projects. As per recent reports, King Khan is all set to start shooting for the last instalment of Farhan Akhtar's Don series with 'Don: The Final Chapter', which will hit the floors in mid-2019.
  13. Even though Bollywood takes the cake in terms of fashion and glamour, the hidden gems (pun intended) are often found in the midst of the royalty. One such gem is the 'Maharaja of Jaipur', Padmanabh Singh. The young king, well-known as 'Pacho', is all of 20, but can effortlessly give the whole of Bollywood a run for its money when it comes to being a hardcore fashionista. From walking the ramps in Milan to being the cover star in the biggest fashion magazines to chilling with fashion stalwarts like Giorgio Armani, he does it all like it's no big deal (which for him, it's not, let's face it). He is also an avid Polo player and takes an interest in sports. Here are 10 pictures of him that prove that no one can come close when it comes to being a royal fashionista in the truest sense of the phrase. 1. After hogging the limelight for controversy and fighting with his co-stars, his reverse transformation and getting married to his long-time girlfriend, Ginni Chatrath; Kapil Sharma is finally back in business and making people fall from their chairs and rolling on the floor laughing. But, that wasn't the case at Kapil's wedding. He put the extra food to good use by filling thousands of empty stomachs who were in need of that food. Reportedly, Kapil Sharma donated the extra food from his wedding and reception to an NGO called Feeding India, who distributed the food to the underprivileged. The founder of Feeding India, Ankit Kawatra said in a statement "Kapil Sharma is setting an example for others to follow by donating excess food from his big day. This is truly a heartwarming gesture and an inspirational lesson that we all need to learn from.
  18. There's only one thing Mark Ruffalo is known for more than playing the character of The Hulk. Well, any guesses? It's an easy one. Giving out spoilers of course, and if you are a Marvel fan, you know how seriously Marvel and the Marvel fanbase actually takes spoilers. But, we all still love Mark, even though he f*cks up sometimes, he's like a little puppy that you can't stay mad at. Instead of showing disappointment, let's all celebrate this man and how much extra information he gives all the fans, accidentally of course. Here's us looking back at all the times Mark didn't know when to shut up - or shut off his phone - which probably landed him in hot water with Marvel and Disney. The first, and the arguably the best, Mark screw up till date has to be the Instagram live incident at the premier of 'Thor: Ragnarok'. The poor guy was just trying to do something nice for the fans by going live on Instagram but didn't realize he never ended that live. Oh, Mark. So, he ended up 'leaking' his own movie at the premier itself and over 2000 people heard the starting of the movie. Oops! He also revealed how everything went down at the theatre later on as well. Basically, his phone was blowing up with people trying to inform him he was still live but he didn't want to check his phone while watching a movie and here's when his manners shouldn't have mattered. Disney had to literally send someone to yell at Mark to turn off his phone. Then comes an 'Avengers: Infinity War' spoiler that no one even realized was a spoiler at the time. I would like to apologize for bringing up the ending of that movie but it's important. While we were aware that we would see many characters die in this movie, no one expected the list to be that long. It was impressive to see how Marvel kept this all under wraps but then an interview of Mark Ruffalo and Don Cheadle with 'Good Morning America' from last year resurfaced and became really relevant again because obviously Mark really couldn't help himself from giving out a major spoiler. Classic old Mark, tbh. Uh oh, @DonCheadle, is @MarkRuffalo going to get in trouble with @MarvelStudios now!? #InfinityWar #D23expo pic.twitter.com/WR5C1QCBTb — Good Morning America (@GMA) July 16, 2017 While talking about 'Thor: Ragnarok', “Every other Marvel movie, it doesn't end well for the superheroes.” Well, he should've stopped at that but of course, he added, “Wait till you see the next one, everybody dies.” Oh, Mark. Don's reaction probably summed up Marvel's reaction as well. And then comes the time when he was 'fired' from MCU after giving out spoilers during an interview with Jimmy Fallon. The best thing about Mark, though, is that he at least tries to cover up his mistakes and that's what he tried this time as well. But, since he doesn't think before speaking about multimillion-dollar movies, he obviously doesn't think before tweeting about it as well. .@JimmyFallon, I trust that you will cut my spoiler slip on the show tonight. That was “off the record” homey. Please don't get me in trouble with Marvel (Barry) again. DM me back. M — Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) October 5, 2018 Here's the clip in question - I LOVE YOU @MarkRuffalo WITH OR WITHOUT SPOILERS #FallonTonight pic.twitter.com/ZSkPJfdp2v — αâÑ | IT'S MARK AND SCARLETT'S BIRTHDAY (@bannersfluff) October 6, 2018 This spoiler incident was obviously a joke and Jimmy kept it up as well. Dude, it's too late - already sent the final show to Burbank for air. Are you sure you're gonna be in trouble? We could maybe bleep it out. What is “DM”? https://t.co/GMds1hGO8X — jimmy fallon (@jimmyfallon) October 5, 2018 But, it was too late. The Russo brothers got to know about it before Mark could fix it, and well, now you know the reason if The Hulk does not show up in the next Avengers movie. Mark, you're fired. — Russo Brothers (@Russo_Brothers) October 6, 2018 He also did some damage control. Guys... can we talk about this? https://t.co/PYe56UiUgO — Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) October 7, 2018 In the end, I would just like to say that Mark please never stop giving us spoilers, we're all waiting for anything about 'Avengers 4'. So leak something already. Thanks.
  19. India is a price-sensitive market and budget smartphones have contributed to making India the second largest market in the world. Part of that growth can be attributed to Xiaomi's Redmi Note series and it seems like the company is not ready to get dethroned anytime soon. The Redmi Note 5 and 5 Pro were one of the most successful smartphones in India and it seems like Xiaomi plans to continue that dominance with the Redmi Note 6 Pro. The Redmi Note 6 Pro follows the same ethos as previous devices in the family--a smartphone that offers a quality experience for a fraction of the price. So let's dive straight into the smartphone's key features and how it performed during the course of our review. Design And Display The Redmi Note 6 Pro now has an updated design and a brand new edge-to-edge screen. It has a 6.26-inch display and has an aspect ratio of 19:9. Xiaomi has refined the design of the smartphone from the Redmi Note 6 with a slightly curved back that makes it easier to hold. It has a rear fingerprint scanner and a dual camera setup that looks very reminiscent of its predecessor. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Unlike the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the camera on the Redmi Note 6 protrudes far less and the camera bump is less noticeable. You will have to use the supplied cover if you want to protect the lens from scratching and other damages. The power button and the volume button have now been moved to the right edge of the phone and are not hard to access even if you have small hands. The smartphone even has a P2i coating for protection against everyday spills and splashes. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla At the bottom, there are two speaker grills and a micro USB slot for charging. We would have loved to see a USB-C port instead as it just works better when it comes to fast charging. Sure, the MicroUSB port is more accessible amongst users for charging purposes. However, it's time to see the port get updated to the norm. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The 6.26-inch Full HD+ display has now been updated with a notch design giving more room for users to consume content. The notched design gives the smartphone more real estate and also allows the smartphone to have face unlock capabilities. There is a noticeable difference in the quality of the screen from its predecessor as it looks better, has brighter, vivid and accurate colours. The display is a delight to use if you love to watch content in HHD and works as advertised for being an LCD display. It is bright enough to see details and notification under bright sunlight. Camera This is one department where we see some major improvements as the company has now implemented a sensor that has a wider aperture and bigger micron pixel. The smartphone has been outfitted with a dual camera setup featuring a 20-megapixel primary sensor, paired with a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. The primary sensor has a larger 1.4micron pixel and an aperture of f/1.9. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The bigger pixel and wider aperture enable the camera to let in more light and in turn, take better clearer pictures. This also translates to better low-light images as compared to its predecessor. The dual camera setup also lets the Redmi Note 6 Pro take portrait shots which blurs the background. The portrait mode works well enough to blur the subject. However, we would have liked to see a little more accuracy around the edges. Having said that, this is a budget smartphone that delivers a far better imaging experience than any other device in this segment. You can even adjust the blur after taking the image which is a plus for people who love to take portrait shots. The star feature of the portrait mode are the various effects you can use. We particularly like the light trails and studio lighting effects that make the images look outstanding. You can even remove objects from the background which you can see from our samples. View this post on Instagram Images shot using #RedmiNote6Pro A post shared by Akshay Bhalla (@editorinchief) on Nov 21, 2018 at 9:08pm PST Performance And Software We don't see much difference here because “why fix something when it's not broken”. The Redmi Note 6 pro has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and is coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. For graphics, Xiaomi is using the Adreno 509 GPU which is good enough for light/moderate gaming. The SoC performs as well as it did on the Redmi Note 5 pro as we did not experience any lags. We've been using the device for over a week and it performed well during the course of our review. We used it for streaming content on Netflix, play PUBG/Asphalt and take numerous images. It scored 1329 on Geekbench 4 for the single core test whereas it scored 4898 on the multi-core test. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Redmi Note series has always been known for providing great battery life and the same can be said about the Note 6 Pro. It has a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood and can easily last 2.5 days with moderate to high usage. Sure, it would have been awesome to see a USB-C port for faster charging as the massive battery can take some time to get fully charged. The Final Say Starting at Rs 13,999, the Redmi Note 6 pro is one of the more reliable budget smartphones of this year. It performs well and delivers extremely good battery life that cannot be matched by any other budget device at the moment. The camera on the device is a delight to shoot and there are some nifty features on MIUI 10 to make them stand out with cool effects.
  20. Xiaomi has been proactively launching new phones in India and trying to cover up a maximum number of price brackets. The company already has the Redmi Y2, Mi A2, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6 Pro in the midrange segment. Taking another step ahead, the company has launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro today and here's everything you need to know about it. The Redmi Note 4 Pro and 5 Pro have been best-sellers in the country, thanks to their near-perfect balance of specifications. Every type of user is satisfied with the offering, and undoubtedly the line-up has helped Xiaomi gain enormous traction in the market. © Xiaomi The most significant difference in the new phone is visible upfront -- the display now has a notch on the top. It also has a slightly bigger display and runs on MIUI 10 out of the box. On the front, it has a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Unfortunately, there has been no improvement as far as the processor is concerned and the phone is powered by the same Snapdragon 636 chipset that powers the Redmi Note 5 Pro. © Xiaomi The phone comes in two variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. The memory can be expanded via a microSD card. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and also supports Face Unlock authentication via an infrared sensor. Coming to the camera, the rear has a 12 + 5-megapixel dual camera setup while the front has a 20 + 2-megapixel dual camera setup. The sensors are assisted by a dual-LED flash and are capable of shooting pictures with a bokeh effect. The portrait mode is AI-assisted and the software includes HDR support, automatic scene recognition, and a pro mode. © Xiaomi The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery and comes with dual-SIM VoLTE support. 21. What can I say? Comic Con always comes through, to be honest, and the fans always love it. Moreover, they always seem to take extra care of 'Game of Thrones' fans, which is basically the entire world. After managing to get Hodor to come to India, especially for the Comic Con three years ago, they've gotten another GoT star to come on board and bless the Indian fans. Vladimir Furdik, who plays the Night King, is all set to appear at the 8th edition of the convention in New Delhi next month. Talking about Comic Con Delhi, the actor said in a statement, “I am looking forward to coming back to India and visiting Delhi and meeting my fans. I have wonderful memories from my last visit to India and I am looking forward to trying out the excellent food and seeing your beautiful country again.” Comic Con India shared a video announcing this very special guest. And all the comments are of people tagging their friends left, right and centre and getting even more excited about it! Along with Vladimir Furdik, Delhi Comic Con 2018 will also feature international comic book writers and artistes like Declan Shalvey, John Layman and Peter Nguyen, along with popular Indian comic book creators such as Saumin Patel, Abhijeet Kini, Alicia Souza, Rahil Mohsin, Akshay Dhar, Vivek Goel and Aniruddho Chakraborty among others.
  22. Some people decide to be a bodybuilder and some people are destined to be one. Ronnie Coleman was a destined bodybuilder. The greatest the stage has ever seen. Arguably the greatest bodybuilder of all times, Ronnie won the Mr. Olympia a record 8 times, earning the title of the 'King' and the 'GOAT' of bodybuilding. Starting lifting at the age of 13 as a hobby with his main interest being rugby, Ronnie saw almost instant growth while training with weights. Soon, there was history being written. Ronnie rose to global fame with the sheer size and mass he brought to the stage, setting a new benchmark for Mass Monster era. Ronnie weighed 130-135 Kg on stage and 145-150 Kg during the off-season. He trained with moderate volume and high intensity. Ronnie believed in lifting heavy free weights. And by heavy, we mean really heavy! Weights That Will Make Any Grown Man Cry © YouTube In his prime, Ronnie moved an insane amount of iron which included 363 Kg Squats for 2 Reps, 1045 Kg Leg Press for 4 Reps, 365 Kg Deadlift for 2 Reps and 100 Kg dumbbell presses. He is surely the strongest Mr. Olympia ever. Ronnie contributes these heavy loads to his huge yet dense physique. How All The Heavy Lifting Came Back To Hurt King Ron © YouTube The weights, which built his body, also began to deteriorate it. Soon after retirement, Ronnie's spine and joints gave up almost entirely. This was because of through and through heavy lifting. Presently, he has gone through as many as 10 major surgeries, including spinal fusion, disc decompressions, and multiple hip replacements. Even before his first surgery in 2016, Ronnie did pay his dues to the gym by pushing 'Lite Weights' one more time. He was once asked that if he could go back in time, would he change anything about his training? He replied- “I would do 4 reps of 363 Kg Squat instead of 2.” The Final Heartbreak View this post on Instagram Two days after surgery and it's a miracle that I can walk. Normally I'm on my way to rehab so they can help me to learn to walk again. This is the best I've felt after my last 3 surgeries. God is truly blessing me this time around because he know that I definitely need the inspiration because lately I've been semi-depressed after all my surgeries. This is so amazing and I know some of you guys praying for me has a lot to do with this. I'm really in a state of shock because after the same results after the same surgery you kinda get use to being not able to walk and come to expect it. Thanks to each and everyone who prayed because it honestly and truly worked this time. God knows me way better than I know me and I'm overwhelmed with excitement and enjoyment. I am so much looking forward to seeing the day where no crutches or walkers is required. Hopefully that day comes sooner rather than later. #yeahbuddy #lightweightbaby #itstillaintnothingbutapeanut A post shared by Ronnie Coleman (@ronniecoleman8) on Sep 22, 2018 at 7:03pm PDT In a recent interview, King Ron gave a heartbreaking statement- that he might never be able to walk again. Ronnie blamed his surgeons for creating complications in his spinal operations. He added that he spent over 2 million dollars in just the last three surgeries and if the doctors wished, he would be walking long back. Ronnie Coleman's pure and raw passion for training has made him an inspirational figure, not just for bodybuilders but powerlifters, weightlifters and anyone who desires to get better at lifting. 23. I don't know why, but a lot of people love seeing the pictures of how their favourite celebrities' houses look like from the inside. Maybe it just gives them the feeling of being more 'personal' with their beloved stars. Regardless, it's actually great to see how celebrities are living tbh. That is why Sidharth Malhotra gave everyone a virtual tour of his house, designed by none other than Gauri Khan. Wow, what a crossover, never expected it. Thank u for the lovely virtual tour Sid... the house is looking great in the video! #GauriKhanDesigns @S1dharthM pic.twitter.com/smd02KPbxj — Gauri Khan (@gaurikhan) November 5, 2018 It's a pretty cool house, not gonna lie, but there's a very important part of the video that needs to be noted. Did you see that really cool hammock towards the end? Yep, this one. It looks really nice there, right? Yep, but there's one person who doesn't like it one bit. That hammock in the video is mine!!! U guys stole it!!by the way house looks lovely..but the hammock..damn! https://t.co/51H1gJ9HDq — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) November 5, 2018 Oh no, don't steal SRK's hammock, people! Seriously though, just banter between celebrities on Twitter is such a nice thing to see. Sid, in turn, was also quick to reply with an invitation and a pun. Hey Great taste @iamsrk ð“swing” by Anytime ! thanks https://t.co/eDmfpnwcL5 — Sidharth Malhotra (@S1dharthM) November 6, 2018 Side note – his new bachelor pad is pretty cool, who wouldn't want a house like that? An inside look into Sid's house... Simple and stylish. Feels warm and inviting. Even without all the little things usually seen in family homes. It's distinctive masculine look is what is most appealing. #GauriKhanDesigns @S1dharthM pic.twitter.com/a5Pk4hBPAh — Gauri Khan (@gaurikhan) November 6, 2018
  24. We cue his movies any season or reason and there isn't a dearth of them at all. Yes, I am talking about the undisputed king of Bollywood- Shah Rukh Khan and the best of him, throughout our growing up years and now. Since it's his birthday today, we decided to celebrate it like everyone else is in Bollywood and maybe give away nuggets of his brilliant work, throughout the day. But even other than that we don't really need a reason to write about King Khan, do we? From giving us crazy blockbusters like 'DDLJ' & 'K3G' to standing in his quintessential pose, making all the women go weak in the knees, SRK has literally done it all. No wonder he's the king. He displays everything a king needs to have, doesn't he? © Twitter We love all of SRK's hits. Literally all of them! But there are some movies he's done which haven't really fared too well in the box office but have had a good script and some extremely good acting by the man himself. We'd classify that as some of his most underrated work, which needs to be seen more to be appreciated just as well as his hits. So, here's listing 5 of the most underrated movies SRK has ever been in, which are definitely a must watch. (1) Swades © UTV Motion Pictures I honestly don't know why this one failed in the box office. This is hands down one of SRK's best work. Based on a true life story about an NRI who comes back home in search for his true calling. Shah Rukh nailed the role to the T and gave us a brilliant performance. The music has definitely done great justice too. Remember, 'yun hi challa chal rahi'? Watch trailer here (2) Paheli © Red Chillies Entertainment Paheli is another brilliant scrip that didn't fair too well in the box office. It's the first of its kind fantasy film, done really tastefully, it makes your heart melt with the sheer benevolence. A ghost (played by SRK) falls in love a woman and does everything in his power to be with her. The movie is a remake of a 1973 Hindi movie 'Duvidha' by Mani Kaul. The cast is stellar and the story is beautiful. Definitely watch this when you want to watch a good Shah Rukh Khan movie. Watch trailer here (3) Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na © Shemaroo Video Pvt. Ltd. Come on, we've all loved this movie and watched it umpteen number of times when we were kids, didn't we? SRK's playful, boyish love stuck character definitely stood out and we hated the fact that he was left heartbroken in the end! But ,we still watch the movie any chance we get and definitely sing along to all its songs too! This one's a must watch if you're looking for a fun movie. Watch the trailer here (4) Yes Boss © Venus Records & Tapes Yes Boss was a simplistic drama of the 90s, which was really heart-warming and was liked by everyone who saw it. SRK plays the 'yes man' in the movie who literally does anything his boss asks him. But when his boss asks him to set him up with the girl Rahul (SRK) has the hots for, the movie takes a serious twist. We still love the songs from the movie and of course Shah Rukh and Juhi's adorbale onscreen chemistry. (5) Rab Ne Banaa Di Jodi © Yash Raj Films One of Shah Rukh's commercial endeavours under the Yash Raj Banner, this film was well put together and thought out. At least I enjoyed watching it thoroughly. It also happened to be Anushka Sharma's first ever in Bollywood. The film revolves around Anuhska marrying the introverted and timid SRK, against her will of course and SRK doing anything in his power to make conversations and keep her happy but she isn't happy with him. While enrolling in a dance competition, she's looking out for a dance partner and SRK dons the role of the extroverted and fun loving 'Raj' to win her love over. The only thing got me wondering was the fact that Anushka (Tanni) didn't realise Raj was her husband all through the movie! But it was a good watch regardless. Watch the trailer here So, there we have it. 5 most underrated SRK movies. Has he ever been an inspiration to you in anyway? I remember I had male friends when I was younger, who loved watching his movies and thank him today for teaching them that it's okay for men to show emotions and for them to cry. Kudos SRK, we wish you a 100 more years in Bollywood and in life!
