  1. Post-Apocalyptic shooter games are now becoming a common theme in games that have caused fatigue amongst seasoned players. However, whenever a new Metro game is set to release, we all seem to set that fatigue aside as the franchise has a fresh outlook towards the theme. Metro Exodus exudes that feeling as it's probably the only game that leaves a fearsomely oppressive feeling right off the bat. © MensXP You continue the story in the franchise with Artyom, set in the dark gritty world of post-apocalyptic Russia. You're in the dark underbelly of Moscow's metro system where you will encounter scary ghouls and in always in mortal danger from mutated beasts. 4A games left no stone unturned to give you the true feeling of fear as you will be battered right from the beginning of the game. You will encounter monsters in the dark and often find yourself stuck in sticky situations that don't work in your favour. You will either have a weapon that needs cleaning or your mask is about to break that needs repairing. It's not only the monsters that strike fear in you, but it's also every bit of the game such as mechanics and limited resources that add to the fear. Metro as a franchise was always set in the gritty underground world of tunnels and sewers where you would only get a glimpse of destroyed Moscow in cut-scenes and specific missions. However this time in Metro Exodus, 4A games takes you out of the world of gritty tunnels and puts you in a heavily-armoured train called the Aurora. You and a group of survivors venture out of Moscow to find survivors and link up with Command to find out what is going on. © 4A Games In the franchise, Moscow's tunnel dwelling survivors believed that they were the only ones that manage to live. However, as you play Metro Exodus, you learn early on that there are survivors elsewhere. This also translated to you taking the Aurora through semi open-world environments where you will struggle to find resources to fix the train throughout your journey to 'Command'. Don't mistake this for an open-world game as Metro Exodus still exudes the elation of skin-of-the-teeth survival and oppressive gameplay even when you are in the open. 4A games is known for making games that are terrifying and Metro Exodus is exactly what you want to see from this studio. It has linear sequences that are filled with scary encounters and the sandbox environments word is filled with outposts, tunnels and buildings where you need to scavenge resources. Whether you like it or not, you will be forced to visit these locations if you want to upgrade your weapons or need ammo. It's these locations where you will experience some of the most terrifying moments in the game. To compliment all the game mechanics, 4A has created some of the most beautiful environments with fine attention to detail. Having said that, the game was a little buggy in some areas (at least on PC) which sometimes hindered your overall experience. Since you visit different locations thanks to Aurora, the game keeps things interesting as you visit different locations in rural Russia. The survival mechanics is probably our favourite feature in the game that adds to your panic when you're trying to defend yourself. Gunplay seems realistic as well since you are using scrappy guns that you have crafted with different components found in the world. These guns are not your run-of-the-mill weapons that don't have a kick to it. This particularly adds even more panic when skirmishing with ghouls, human enemies and beasts. © 4A Games Crafting works very similar to what you may have experienced in 'The Last of Us', each time you must crouch, open your bag with resources and craft whatever you need to complete your mission. You can craft medkits, weapons or pump up weapons since everything in Metro is quite analogue and nothing has advanced in terms of technology. Having said that, it's the best implementation of survival crafting we've seen since TLOU. If you're looking for a game that offers stealth and survival, Metro Exodus marries the two concepts perfectly. Metro Exodus has its own caveats with some bugs and some extremely long sequences where your character does nothing but stand, it's still one of the most exceptional experiences we've had in a very long time. The characters in the world are exceptional with great voice acting and a world that looks beautiful on RTX graphic cards. With deep and complex levels and incredibly scary monsters, Metro Exodus is the only post Apocalyptic game you need to play this year.
  2. Winter might still be looming on our heads but the winter we all are waiting for is coming in April when the final season of 'Game Of Thrones' hits us with God knows what! The new pictures that were recently released gave away very little, just like the teaser which actually just teased us only a tab bit. Now as per Redditors, there's a new crazy theory around the birth and fate of Cersei's unborn child. According this theory, she might give her child to the Night King and in return become the only immortal in Westeros and rule like the queen that she is. While many theories about the Night King and even Jon Snow have been floating around, this one claims that with her love Jamie now gone, it is possible that he is killed in the big war and when the news arrives, she'll sacrifice her child to save her own soul. © HBO Some theories already claim that there is a pact between the White Walkers and the humans and the Night King's army will be returning for their periodical sacrifice. Now we know what you're thinking--even Khaleesi is pregnant, right? Well, but one of her dragons are already with him and given the fact that this child could mean everything to her, we doubt she'll give it away. The insanity shall roll over us starting 26th April. Till then, keep calm and carry on.
  3. If you are well aware of Jasleen Matharu and her weirdly interesting relationship with 'King of Bhajans' Anup Jalota, then you too, just like most of us, are guilty of binge-watching the 12th season of 'Bigg Boss'. While people might have their own biases when it comes to picking their favourite contestants, Anup Jalota and Jasleen were easily the most controversial and entertaining contestants on the show. Bigg Boss/Colors Anyway, the show is over and by the looks of it so are the two. We don't know about Anup Jalota, but Jasleen has surely moved on and her latest transformation is exactly how the 'revenge bod' strategy works. 5. The fact that Shah Rukh Khan continues to be the Baadshah of Bollywood to this day, even though it has been a few years since we last saw the best of him on-screen, comes as no surprise to most of us. Over the years, SRK has created a name for himself and a space in our hearts, which is rather difficult to do away with, all courtesy to his great performances. While we have often heard and witnessed crazy fan stories and a gazillion tales of SRK's admirers pulling out fun antics to get the actor's attention, nothing quite beats what Senior Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor witnessed during his recent visit to the hill station of Munnar in Kerala. © Red Chillies Entertainment It so happened that when the politician checked into his hotel room, he was surprised to find out that it looked much more like a “shrine” devoted to SRK and 'Chennai Express' than an upscale hotel room. By his own admission, the room came covered with Shah Rukh's posters and cut-outs all over. Apparently, when SRK was shooting for 'Chennai Express', he stayed in the said room, which was later converted into a shrine. Being surrounded by many reminders of the actor, Tharoor took to Twitter to talk about his experience. He even tagged SRK on the post and shared some pictures of the room, which definitely works as too good of a reminder of Shah Rukh and his hit film 'Chennai Express'. Check out the post and images here: Dear @iamsrk, when on a brief visit to Munnar yesterday I took rest in the room you occupied in 2013, which has been converted into a shrine for you & #ChennaiExpress! Every wall is decorated w/posters of the film &the suite is dominated by this cut-out of you. No place for rest! pic.twitter.com/hFUYCgXLEc — Shashi Tharoor (@ShashiTharoor) January 21, 2019 Frankly, we aren't very shocked to see the staff of the hotel turning this room into a shrine, given the kind of devoted fan-following SRK enjoys to this day. Though SRK's latest film 'Zero' didn't perform too well at the box office, he has decided to move on and focus on other projects. As per recent reports, King Khan is all set to start shooting for the last instalment of Farhan Akhtar's Don series with 'Don: The Final Chapter', which will hit the floors in mid-2019.
  6. Even though Bollywood takes the cake in terms of fashion and glamour, the hidden gems (pun intended) are often found in the midst of the royalty. One such gem is the 'Maharaja of Jaipur', Padmanabh Singh. The young king, well-known as 'Pacho', is all of 20, but can effortlessly give the whole of Bollywood a run for its money when it comes to being a hardcore fashionista. From walking the ramps in Milan to being the cover star in the biggest fashion magazines to chilling with fashion stalwarts like Giorgio Armani, he does it all like it's no big deal (which for him, it's not, let's face it). He is also an avid Polo player and takes an interest in sports. Here are 10 pictures of him that prove that no one can come close when it comes to being a royal fashionista in the truest sense of the phrase. 1. 7. We love hip hop-rap God Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia aka Badshah for his music, his dance floor breaking lyrics, his groovy videos and his sense of style. He's spiffy, cool and a true sneaker-head. You've got to admire Badshah for keeping it casual and laid back and still making it to the list of the best-dressed men this year. A fashion fanatic, his love for Balenciaga and distinctly cool sneakers are visible on his Instagram. To top it all, his fashion game is second to none in the industry right now. 8. After hogging the limelight for controversy and fighting with his co-stars, his reverse transformation and getting married to his long-time girlfriend, Ginni Chatrath; Kapil Sharma is finally back in business and making people fall from their chairs and rolling on the floor laughing. K9 Productions With a couple of fresh faces and fresher and more humourous content, Kapil Sharma shows how comebacks are done. In fact, the success of the premiere episode speaks volumes about how kickass the upcoming episodes are going to be. K9 Productions The first episode featured the team of 'Simmba' i.e. Sara Ali Khan, Rohit Shetty and Baba Ranveer Singh. When you bring Bollywood's livewire Ranveer Singh and Comedy King Kapil Sharma under the same roof, do we really have to mention how epic the episode was going to be? It's anything but obvious and that's exactly what happened. Fans couldn't control their laughter and excitement throughout the show, and soon started lauding Kapil Sharma and his new show on social media. #TheKapilSharmaShow yaad teri aayegi ðloved every moment of kapil sharma show @KapilFans @KapilSharmaK9 @SonyTV way to go guys .. thank you for awesome time .. you guys rock — rajan minocha (@rajanngp) December 29, 2018 What a comeback for @KapilSharmaK9 , Kapil Sharma show was amazing tonight, I'm crying from laughter. 10. In recent time, Kapil Sharma has either been in the news for his fight with Sunil Grover or his reverse transformation, but this time Kapil is in news for his noble gesture that deserves all the respect in the world. It wasn't just Isha Ambani who got married on 12th December, Kapil Sharma also tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath in Jalandhar. The couple later hosted a reception for their friends and family members in Amritsar on December 14. But, that wasn't the case at Kapil's wedding. He put the extra food to good use by filling thousands of empty stomachs who were in need of that food. Reportedly, Kapil Sharma donated the extra food from his wedding and reception to an NGO called Feeding India, who distributed the food to the underprivileged. The founder of Feeding India, Ankit Kawatra said in a statement "Kapil Sharma is setting an example for others to follow by donating excess food from his big day. This will surely create a much-needed awareness for the cause and will motivate others to follow suit. I hope Kapil's act wakes up the country to not waste food and donate extra from weddings." This is truly a heartwarming gesture and an inspirational lesson that we all need to learn from.
  11. There's only one thing Mark Ruffalo is known for more than playing the character of The Hulk. Well, any guesses? It's an easy one. Giving out spoilers of course, and if you are a Marvel fan, you know how seriously Marvel and the Marvel fanbase actually takes spoilers. But, we all still love Mark, even though he f*cks up sometimes, he's like a little puppy that you can't stay mad at. Instead of showing disappointment, let's all celebrate this man and how much extra information he gives all the fans, accidentally of course. Here's us looking back at all the times Mark didn't know when to shut up - or shut off his phone - which probably landed him in hot water with Marvel and Disney. The first, and the arguably the best, Mark screw up till date has to be the Instagram live incident at the premier of 'Thor: Ragnarok'. The poor guy was just trying to do something nice for the fans by going live on Instagram but didn't realize he never ended that live. Oh, Mark. So, he ended up 'leaking' his own movie at the premier itself and over 2000 people heard the starting of the movie. Oops! He also revealed how everything went down at the theatre later on as well. Basically, his phone was blowing up with people trying to inform him he was still live but he didn't want to check his phone while watching a movie and here's when his manners shouldn't have mattered. Disney had to literally send someone to yell at Mark to turn off his phone. Then comes an 'Avengers: Infinity War' spoiler that no one even realized was a spoiler at the time. I would like to apologize for bringing up the ending of that movie but it's important. While we were aware that we would see many characters die in this movie, no one expected the list to be that long. It was impressive to see how Marvel kept this all under wraps but then an interview of Mark Ruffalo and Don Cheadle with 'Good Morning America' from last year resurfaced and became really relevant again because obviously Mark really couldn't help himself from giving out a major spoiler. Classic old Mark, tbh. Uh oh, @DonCheadle, is @MarkRuffalo going to get in trouble with @MarvelStudios now!? #InfinityWar #D23expo pic.twitter.com/WR5C1QCBTb — Good Morning America (@GMA) July 16, 2017 While talking about 'Thor: Ragnarok', “Every other Marvel movie, it doesn't end well for the superheroes.” Well, he should've stopped at that but of course, he added, “Wait till you see the next one, everybody dies.” Oh, Mark. Don's reaction probably summed up Marvel's reaction as well. And then comes the time when he was 'fired' from MCU after giving out spoilers during an interview with Jimmy Fallon. The best thing about Mark, though, is that he at least tries to cover up his mistakes and that's what he tried this time as well. But, since he doesn't think before speaking about multimillion-dollar movies, he obviously doesn't think before tweeting about it as well. .@JimmyFallon, I trust that you will cut my spoiler slip on the show tonight. That was “off the record” homey. Please don't get me in trouble with Marvel (Barry) again. DM me back. M — Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) October 5, 2018 Here's the clip in question - I LOVE YOU @MarkRuffalo WITH OR WITHOUT SPOILERS #FallonTonight pic.twitter.com/ZSkPJfdp2v — αâÑ | IT'S MARK AND SCARLETT'S BIRTHDAY (@bannersfluff) October 6, 2018 This spoiler incident was obviously a joke and Jimmy kept it up as well. Dude, it's too late - already sent the final show to Burbank for air. Are you sure you're gonna be in trouble? We could maybe bleep it out. 12. India is a price-sensitive market and budget smartphones have contributed to making India the second largest market in the world. Part of that growth can be attributed to Xiaomi's Redmi Note series and it seems like the company is not ready to get dethroned anytime soon. The Redmi Note 5 and 5 Pro were one of the most successful smartphones in India and it seems like Xiaomi plans to continue that dominance with the Redmi Note 6 Pro. The Redmi Note 6 Pro follows the same ethos as previous devices in the family--a smartphone that offers a quality experience for a fraction of the price. So let's dive straight into the smartphone's key features and how it performed during the course of our review. Design And Display The Redmi Note 6 Pro now has an updated design and a brand new edge-to-edge screen. It has a 6.26-inch display and has an aspect ratio of 19:9. Xiaomi has refined the design of the smartphone from the Redmi Note 6 with a slightly curved back that makes it easier to hold. It has a rear fingerprint scanner and a dual camera setup that looks very reminiscent of its predecessor. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Unlike the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the camera on the Redmi Note 6 protrudes far less and the camera bump is less noticeable. You will have to use the supplied cover if you want to protect the lens from scratching and other damages. The power button and the volume button have now been moved to the right edge of the phone and are not hard to access even if you have small hands. The smartphone even has a P2i coating for protection against everyday spills and splashes. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla At the bottom, there are two speaker grills and a micro USB slot for charging. We would have loved to see a USB-C port instead as it just works better when it comes to fast charging. Sure, the MicroUSB port is more accessible amongst users for charging purposes. However, it's time to see the port get updated to the norm. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The 6.26-inch Full HD+ display has now been updated with a notch design giving more room for users to consume content. The notched design gives the smartphone more real estate and also allows the smartphone to have face unlock capabilities. There is a noticeable difference in the quality of the screen from its predecessor as it looks better, has brighter, vivid and accurate colours. The display is a delight to use if you love to watch content in HHD and works as advertised for being an LCD display. It is bright enough to see details and notification under bright sunlight. Camera This is one department where we see some major improvements as the company has now implemented a sensor that has a wider aperture and bigger micron pixel. The smartphone has been outfitted with a dual camera setup featuring a 20-megapixel primary sensor, paired with a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. The primary sensor has a larger 1.4micron pixel and an aperture of f/1.9. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The bigger pixel and wider aperture enable the camera to let in more light and in turn, take better clearer pictures. This also translates to better low-light images as compared to its predecessor. The dual camera setup also lets the Redmi Note 6 Pro take portrait shots which blurs the background. The portrait mode works well enough to blur the subject. However, we would have liked to see a little more accuracy around the edges. Having said that, this is a budget smartphone that delivers a far better imaging experience than any other device in this segment. You can even adjust the blur after taking the image which is a plus for people who love to take portrait shots. The star feature of the portrait mode are the various effects you can use. We particularly like the light trails and studio lighting effects that make the images look outstanding. You can even remove objects from the background which you can see from our samples. View this post on Instagram Images shot using #RedmiNote6Pro A post shared by Akshay Bhalla (@editorinchief) on Nov 21, 2018 at 9:08pm PST Performance And Software We don't see much difference here because “why fix something when it's not broken”. The Redmi Note 6 pro has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and is coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. For graphics, Xiaomi is using the Adreno 509 GPU which is good enough for light/moderate gaming. The SoC performs as well as it did on the Redmi Note 5 pro as we did not experience any lags. We've been using the device for over a week and it performed well during the course of our review. We used it for streaming content on Netflix, play PUBG/Asphalt and take numerous images. It scored 1329 on Geekbench 4 for the single core test whereas it scored 4898 on the multi-core test. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Redmi Note series has always been known for providing great battery life and the same can be said about the Note 6 Pro. It has a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood and can easily last 2.5 days with moderate to high usage. Sure, it would have been awesome to see a USB-C port for faster charging as the massive battery can take some time to get fully charged. The Final Say Starting at Rs 13,999, the Redmi Note 6 pro is one of the more reliable budget smartphones of this year. It performs well and delivers extremely good battery life that cannot be matched by any other budget device at the moment. The camera on the device is a delight to shoot and there are some nifty features on MIUI 10 to make them stand out with cool effects.
  13. Xiaomi has been proactively launching new phones in India and trying to cover up a maximum number of price brackets. The company already has the Redmi Y2, Mi A2, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6 Pro in the midrange segment. Taking another step ahead, the company has launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro today and here's everything you need to know about it. The Redmi Note 4 Pro and 5 Pro have been best-sellers in the country, thanks to their near-perfect balance of specifications. Every type of user is satisfied with the offering, and undoubtedly the line-up has helped Xiaomi gain enormous traction in the market. © Xiaomi The most significant difference in the new phone is visible upfront -- the display now has a notch on the top. It also has a slightly bigger display and runs on MIUI 10 out of the box. On the front, it has a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Unfortunately, there has been no improvement as far as the processor is concerned and the phone is powered by the same Snapdragon 636 chipset that powers the Redmi Note 5 Pro. © Xiaomi The phone comes in two variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. The memory can be expanded via a microSD card. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and also supports Face Unlock authentication via an infrared sensor. Coming to the camera, the rear has a 12 + 5-megapixel dual camera setup while the front has a 20 + 2-megapixel dual camera setup. The sensors are assisted by a dual-LED flash and are capable of shooting pictures with a bokeh effect. The portrait mode is AI-assisted and the software includes HDR support, automatic scene recognition, and a pro mode. © Xiaomi The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery and comes with dual-SIM VoLTE support. It will be competing against the Honor 8X, Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, Realme 2 Pro, and Nokia 6.1 Plus. Just like previous launches, it will be exclusively available online via Flipkart and Mi.com along with offline Mi Stores from tomorrow onwards. The 4GB+64GB variant costs Rs 13,999 and the 6GB+64GB variant costs Rs 15,999.
  14. What can I say? Comic Con always comes through, to be honest, and the fans always love it. Moreover, they always seem to take extra care of 'Game of Thrones' fans, which is basically the entire world. After managing to get Hodor to come to India, especially for the Comic Con three years ago, they've gotten another GoT star to come on board and bless the Indian fans. Vladimir Furdik, who plays the Night King, is all set to appear at the 8th edition of the convention in New Delhi next month. Talking about Comic Con Delhi, the actor said in a statement, “I am looking forward to coming back to India and visiting Delhi and meeting my fans. I have wonderful memories from my last visit to India and I am looking forward to trying out the excellent food and seeing your beautiful country again.” Comic Con India shared a video announcing this very special guest. And all the comments are of people tagging their friends left, right and centre and getting even more excited about it! Along with Vladimir Furdik, Delhi Comic Con 2018 will also feature international comic book writers and artistes like Declan Shalvey, John Layman and Peter Nguyen, along with popular Indian comic book creators such as Saumin Patel, Abhijeet Kini, Alicia Souza, Rahil Mohsin, Akshay Dhar, Vivek Goel and Aniruddho Chakraborty among others.
  15. Some people decide to be a bodybuilder and some people are destined to be one. Ronnie Coleman was a destined bodybuilder. The greatest the stage has ever seen. Arguably the greatest bodybuilder of all times, Ronnie won the Mr. Olympia a record 8 times, earning the title of the 'King' and the 'GOAT' of bodybuilding. Starting lifting at the age of 13 as a hobby with his main interest being rugby, Ronnie saw almost instant growth while training with weights. Soon, there was history being written. Ronnie rose to global fame with the sheer size and mass he brought to the stage, setting a new benchmark for Mass Monster era. Ronnie weighed 130-135 Kg on stage and 145-150 Kg during the off-season. He trained with moderate volume and high intensity. Ronnie believed in lifting heavy free weights. And by heavy, we mean really heavy! Weights That Will Make Any Grown Man Cry © YouTube In his prime, Ronnie moved an insane amount of iron which included 363 Kg Squats for 2 Reps, 1045 Kg Leg Press for 4 Reps, 365 Kg Deadlift for 2 Reps and 100 Kg dumbbell presses. He is surely the strongest Mr. Olympia ever. Ronnie contributes these heavy loads to his huge yet dense physique. How All The Heavy Lifting Came Back To Hurt King Ron © YouTube The weights, which built his body, also began to deteriorate it. Soon after retirement, Ronnie's spine and joints gave up almost entirely. This was because of through and through heavy lifting. Presently, he has gone through as many as 10 major surgeries, including spinal fusion, disc decompressions, and multiple hip replacements. Even before his first surgery in 2016, Ronnie did pay his dues to the gym by pushing 'Lite Weights' one more time. He was once asked that if he could go back in time, would he change anything about his training? He replied- “I would do 4 reps of 363 Kg Squat instead of 2.” The Final Heartbreak View this post on Instagram Two days after surgery and it's a miracle that I can walk. Normally I'm on my way to rehab so they can help me to learn to walk again. This is the best I've felt after my last 3 surgeries. God is truly blessing me this time around because he know that I definitely need the inspiration because lately I've been semi-depressed after all my surgeries. This is so amazing and I know some of you guys praying for me has a lot to do with this. I'm really in a state of shock because after the same results after the same surgery you kinda get use to being not able to walk and come to expect it. Thanks to each and everyone who prayed because it honestly and truly worked this time. God knows me way better than I know me and I'm overwhelmed with excitement and enjoyment. I am so much looking forward to seeing the day where no crutches or walkers is required. Hopefully that day comes sooner rather than later. #yeahbuddy #lightweightbaby #itstillaintnothingbutapeanut A post shared by Ronnie Coleman (@ronniecoleman8) on Sep 22, 2018 at 7:03pm PDT In a recent interview, King Ron gave a heartbreaking statement- that he might never be able to walk again. Ronnie blamed his surgeons for creating complications in his spinal operations. He added that he spent over 2 million dollars in just the last three surgeries and if the doctors wished, he would be walking long back. Ronnie Coleman's pure and raw passion for training has made him an inspirational figure, not just for bodybuilders but powerlifters, weightlifters and anyone who desires to get better at lifting. 16. I don't know why, but a lot of people love seeing the pictures of how their favourite celebrities' houses look like from the inside. Maybe it just gives them the feeling of being more 'personal' with their beloved stars. Regardless, it's actually great to see how celebrities are living tbh. That is why Sidharth Malhotra gave everyone a virtual tour of his house, designed by none other than Gauri Khan. Wow, what a crossover, never expected it. Thank u for the lovely virtual tour Sid... the house is looking great in the video! #GauriKhanDesigns @S1dharthM pic.twitter.com/smd02KPbxj — Gauri Khan (@gaurikhan) November 5, 2018 It's a pretty cool house, not gonna lie, but there's a very important part of the video that needs to be noted. Did you see that really cool hammock towards the end? Yep, this one. It looks really nice there, right? Yep, but there's one person who doesn't like it one bit. That hammock in the video is mine!!! U guys stole it!!by the way house looks lovely..but the hammock..damn! https://t.co/51H1gJ9HDq — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) November 5, 2018 Oh no, don't steal SRK's hammock, people! It's distinctive masculine look is what is most appealing. #GauriKhanDesigns @S1dharthM pic.twitter.com/a5Pk4hBPAh — Gauri Khan (@gaurikhan) November 6, 2018
  17. We cue his movies any season or reason and there isn't a dearth of them at all. Yes, I am talking about the undisputed king of Bollywood- Shah Rukh Khan and the best of him, throughout our growing up years and now. Since it's his birthday today, we decided to celebrate it like everyone else is in Bollywood and maybe give away nuggets of his brilliant work, throughout the day. But even other than that we don't really need a reason to write about King Khan, do we? From giving us crazy blockbusters like 'DDLJ' & 'K3G' to standing in his quintessential pose, making all the women go weak in the knees, SRK has literally done it all. No wonder he's the king. He displays everything a king needs to have, doesn't he? © Twitter We love all of SRK's hits. Literally all of them! But there are some movies he's done which haven't really fared too well in the box office but have had a good script and some extremely good acting by the man himself. We'd classify that as some of his most underrated work, which needs to be seen more to be appreciated just as well as his hits. So, here's listing 5 of the most underrated movies SRK has ever been in, which are definitely a must watch. (1) Swades © UTV Motion Pictures I honestly don't know why this one failed in the box office. This is hands down one of SRK's best work. Based on a true life story about an NRI who comes back home in search for his true calling. Shah Rukh nailed the role to the T and gave us a brilliant performance. The music has definitely done great justice too. Remember, 'yun hi challa chal rahi'? Watch trailer here (2) Paheli © Red Chillies Entertainment Paheli is another brilliant scrip that didn't fair too well in the box office. It's the first of its kind fantasy film, done really tastefully, it makes your heart melt with the sheer benevolence. A ghost (played by SRK) falls in love a woman and does everything in his power to be with her. The movie is a remake of a 1973 Hindi movie 'Duvidha' by Mani Kaul. The cast is stellar and the story is beautiful. Definitely watch this when you want to watch a good Shah Rukh Khan movie. Watch trailer here (3) Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na © Shemaroo Video Pvt. Ltd. Come on, we've all loved this movie and watched it umpteen number of times when we were kids, didn't we? SRK's playful, boyish love stuck character definitely stood out and we hated the fact that he was left heartbroken in the end! But ,we still watch the movie any chance we get and definitely sing along to all its songs too! This one's a must watch if you're looking for a fun movie. Watch the trailer here (4) Yes Boss © Venus Records & Tapes Yes Boss was a simplistic drama of the 90s, which was really heart-warming and was liked by everyone who saw it. SRK plays the 'yes man' in the movie who literally does anything his boss asks him. But when his boss asks him to set him up with the girl Rahul (SRK) has the hots for, the movie takes a serious twist. We still love the songs from the movie and of course Shah Rukh and Juhi's adorbale onscreen chemistry. (5) Rab Ne Banaa Di Jodi © Yash Raj Films One of Shah Rukh's commercial endeavours under the Yash Raj Banner, this film was well put together and thought out. At least I enjoyed watching it thoroughly. It also happened to be Anushka Sharma's first ever in Bollywood. The film revolves around Anuhska marrying the introverted and timid SRK, against her will of course and SRK doing anything in his power to make conversations and keep her happy but she isn't happy with him. While enrolling in a dance competition, she's looking out for a dance partner and SRK dons the role of the extroverted and fun loving 'Raj' to win her love over. The only thing got me wondering was the fact that Anushka (Tanni) didn't realise Raj was her husband all through the movie! But it was a good watch regardless. Watch the trailer here So, there we have it. 5 most underrated SRK movies. Has he ever been an inspiration to you in anyway? I remember I had male friends when I was younger, who loved watching his movies and thank him today for teaching them that it's okay for men to show emotions and for them to cry. Kudos SRK, we wish you a 100 more years in Bollywood and in life!
  18. Ahead of India's much-anticipated tour of England earlier this year, all eyes were on Virat Kohli who was looking to improve on his past mediocre performances in the testing English conditions. While the English fans were hoping to see yet another dismal show from the Indian captain, Kohli, unperturbed by the weight of expectations, left the hosts disappointed with arguably one of his best overseas performances. Though he was not able to save India from a Test series defeat, Kohli undeniably silenced all those naysayers who had earlier slammed him for his poor outings in England. Following his individual success in England, Kohli was given a much-needed rest, as Rohit Sharma lead India's triumphant run in the Asia Cup. Returning to cricketing action against West Indies, Kohli wasted no time in amassing more runs in what is turning out to be a phenomenal year for the Indian skipper. With 184 runs to his name including a brilliant hundred, Kohli emerged as the third highest run-getter in the two-match Test series against the Caribbean giants. We love this sight ð How about you?@Paytm #INDvWI #KingKohli #ViratKohli pic.twitter.com/UQL8wEollI — BCCI (@BCCI) October 21, 2018 Building on his magnificent run this year, Kohli's artistry with the willow once again came to the fore during India's emphatic eight-wicket win over the Windies in the first ODI. The Delhi lad hammered the opposition bowlers to all parts of the ground in a dominant batting display, making mincemeat of the 323-run target set by the Windies. The right-hander notched up his 36th ODI hundred which took him closer to the 10,000-run mark in the 50-over format. He also stitched a match-winning 246-run partnership for the second wicket with Rohit (152*) to ensure India didn't break a sweat in their chase. Kohli was inching closer to his 150 when Devendra Bishoo's beautiful delivery ended his innings at 140 runs. Kohli might have lost his wicket and would have surely rued missing out on what would have been a commendable 150, but his masterclass with the willow was second to none. The Indian skipper took just 107 balls to score 140 runs that included 21 fours and two sixes. His knock in Guwahati further proved why he is regarded as the number one batsman in the world. But, it's his stats for the year 2018 that once again highlights why he continues to be a cut above the rest. WATCH: King Kohli's 36th ODI ð¯ The Indian captain looked in prime touch marching his way to a brilliant century that was elegant on the eye and full of masterstrokes. â¶ï¸â¶ï¸https://t.co/JRn6KYYV5G #INDvWI pic.twitter.com/ZFPU3fn3H4 — BCCI (@BCCI) October 22, 2018 The 29-year-old is not the leading run-getter this year. In fact, he currently sits at the fourth spot in the ODI scoring charts in 2018. But, the fact that he has taken just 10 matches to score 889 runs in ODIs shows how consistent he has been with the willow. The likes of Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root and Jason Roy have all scored more ODI runs than Kohli this year, but it's the difference in the averages that makes Kohli a dominant force against his rivals. While Kohli has amassed 889 runs in 10 ODIs at an average of 127, Bairstow - who leads the ODI scoring charts this year - has taken 22 matches to score 1,025 runs and averages a meagre 46.59 in the 50-over format. When it comes to Root, the England Test captain has scored 936 runs in 23 matches at an average of 62.40. As far as Roy is concerned, the England opener has smashed 890 runs in 21 ODIs at an average of 42.38. Kohli has slammed four hundreds and three fifties in ODIs this year. The fact that his batting average is more than double of Root and nearly triple than that of Bairstow and Roy, undeniably makes Kohli the undisputed ODI king of the year. Moreover, with four ODIs still left to play against the Windies, not many would hesitate in putting their money on Kohli to leave the three England batsmen behind and take the top spot in the list of leading run-getters this year.

  21. It was back in 2007 when we were first bowled over by the witty Kapil Sharma on the 'Great Indian Laughter Challenge' show, that offered its audience a fresh way of enjoying entertainment on the small screen in the form of a talent hunt, specifically meant for India's comedy stars. © Instagram The show's brush with gold seemed to have opened a treasure of good luck for the man, who went on to bag all the six consecutive titles on 'Comedy Circus', aired between 2010 to 2012. What an innings it had been for this comedy star who never failed to strike a chord with his audience and tickle their funny bones. We loved him all the more because he was one of us and he had finally made it. Kapil rose to fame from being an ordinary Punjabi munda from Amritsar, was a humble yet excessively funny son to his doting parents. © Instagram Cut to 22 June 2013 when India's way of experiencing entertainment changed forever. Kapil Sharma's 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' hit the screens and became an instant hit. This moment onwards there was no looking back for Kapil or his popular show which was a fresh mix of sketch comedy and celebrity talk show, which then became India's own take on American late-night shows. © Instagram We had finally found someone whose jokes resonated with our personal experiences and we could now hear someone share our private jokes from a stage, but they sounded a lot more hilarious coming from him. From young kids to our grannies and dads, there were elements in the show that catered to all our needs across all age groups and we loved everything about it! The cast, the sets, the plots and obviously the ROFL inducing jokes and interviews, we simply couldn't get enough of Kapil and his team's antics. © Instagram The show did all the right things for Kapil and then came the time when the show's contract with Sony came to an end. This time Kapil found a welcome abode on Colors TV which saw the birth of 'The Kapil Sharma Show'. This venture brought together some of the most famous names of the film fraternity together on a platform, became hugely popular and allowed us to watch our favourite celebrities in a different light. © Instagram But like they say, all good things must come to end, and so was to be the fate of Kapil's golden touch which gradually began to lose its gilded effect. 2017 came bearing a number of lows for Kapil which only proved that excessive pride can bring about your fall. From allegations of misbehaviour to throwing tantrums on the sets and alcohol dependence, Kapil's popularity was marred beyond repair. © Instagram While a lot has been said and done about those mishaps already, we list down the major missteps Kapil Sharma has to his credit that were pivotal to his fall from grace: The Sunil Grover Debacle The biggest blow to Kapil's raging glory was his fallout with friend and fellow co-star Sunil Grover, which took an ugly turn when things went public on Twitter with both Kapil and Sunil sharing their side of the story. That didn't go down well with Kapil who went on a rant about it on Twitter. Paji I called u more then 100 times n came to ur house to meet u twice .. every time u were out for some show n all .. pls don't spread rumors that I didn't call u. — KAPIL (@KapilSharmaK9) March 17, 2018 The thing is u r smarter then me. u know when n how to play .. n I am a dumb emotional. — KAPIL (@KapilSharmaK9) March 18, 2018 Next came the mid-air altercation with his colleagues on 'The Kapil Sharma Show' leading to a joint walkout which killed the show and brought a lot of negative publicity. Fans Begin Losing Their Faith Thanks To His Public Fights The next blow was a public fight that ensued when Kapil charged his ex-girlfriend Preeti Simoes and her sister of trying to extort money from him after having exited the show with the others. A defamation suit ensued and yet again all was witness by the fans. Here is what the sisters had to say: A Message for u from the heart @KapilSharmaK9 #kapilsharma pic.twitter.com/7Rg0l5EgrQ — Neetisimoes (@neetisimoes) April 10, 2018 The Final Nail In The Coffin The final hit came when Kapil got into an ugly virtual fight with a Spotboye journalist Vicky Lalwani over a story on Kapil, that didn't go down well with the king of comedy and he yet again went public on Twitter to vent: Maine jo b likha tha apne dil se likha tha.. it was my team who deleted my tweets .. But main is kutte bikaayu reporter se darne wala nahi hu.. he can write anything for anybody just for few bucks. Shameless — KAPIL (@KapilSharmaK9) April 7, 2018 Apparently he was upset about some stories against him. I was only doing my work. He called me, used abusive language & also said offensive things about my daughter. He handled his success very well but couldn't handle his drop: V Lalwani, journalist on his spat with Kapil Sharma pic.twitter.com/y8XXmtfpN3 — ANI (@ANI) April 6, 2018 These incidents are what we last remember of him from last year and a half, but new reports now suggest that Kapil is working hard to salvage his career and rebuild his life and is all set to make a comeback with a new comedy show around Diwali this year. We wish him all the luck in this new endeavour and hope to see a brand new Kapil Sharma who has faced his challenges and come out fighting.

  23. A self-proclaimed Badshah fan who followed him from his 'Mafia Mundeer' days, it was only natural for me to hyper-ventilate and check the mirror twice before I entered the room where we then sat face-to-face for an editorial interview. I imagined it to be intriguing, slightly overwhelming and overtly exciting, but the moment I said a 'Hi' to him, the warmth of his smile overshadowed the air conditioning in the studio. Not many people know, but the real name of this crowned king of Bollywood's music scenes is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia. Earning a bad name A post shared by O.N.E. OUT NOW! (@badboyshah) on Aug 7, 2018 at 6:40am PDT My first question was the clichéd 'how did music happen because you were studying engineering' but his answer was anything but conventional. 'No, I was actually doing music, and then engineering happened', he laughed as he corrected my question and my perception. He explained that he was always interested in doing music and his parents were super supportive about his decision to pursue the same. My second question was something I always imagined I'd personally ask if I ever get to meet him in person. “Why did you choose the name 'Badshah'?” “I am a big SRK fan, and when I was looking for a stage name for myself, around that time the movie 'Baadshah' released and I thought why not take this name only.” I kind of guessed it but I never knew this was a fact actually! Our conversation then moved to his journey from where he began and his current state of being omnipresent in the music scene today. One might expect that he has a long struggle story to share and there is more depth to it but the king was pretty honest and blunt about it and kept it very short. “I never went to people for work. I was just making my own music and releasing it through my own label. Eventually Bollywood stood up and noticed me.” The best part of his humble journey is that he was working full time in order to invest money in his music career, no godfathers or no money flew in for this self-made star. © Instagram Talking about his biggest critics, he quipped that his sister, his immediate circle of friends and his close knit group of cousins are the first lot who hear his music first hand and give their honest inputs which he values a lot. In case you don't know, he is actually a 'Dilli wala' who lived in Pitampura and even went to St. Stephens for a month before he opted out. His favourite thing about Delhi is the food, no guesses there. My favourite part about the interview began when I asked him to share the whole ideology behind his music. I asked him how the songs are conceived and what the creative process behind it is, including the inspiration to two of my personal favourites, 'Tareefan' and 'Buzz'. “I think of myself as a journalist. I write what I see”, he quickly responded to it. So he said that he picks up the vibe from his surroundings and finds inspiration from real-life situations. Also, one might think that no party is complete without his music, so probably the rapper is a party lord himself. However, he busted the myth when he told me that he never really parties! He then went on to tell me that the lyrics in 'Buzz', the line where he starts with 'Okay, Okay Okay, Okay' is actually inspired from Kevin Hart, who he ardently follows and who uses it in some of his songs. 'Tareefan' is a love song for Badshah, not a dance song. The inspiration for this song was also very simple. He said boys get ready quickly and wait for their girl to get ready, who only wants to know how is she looking, so a guy got nothing else to do but say 'hor dass kinniyan tareefan chahida tainu'? I asked him if he has any Bollywood plans for himself and he answered with a big “yes”. A fun fact that he shared with me is that he was offered two projects already which didn't work out. He was offered 'Good News' which later went to Diljit Dosanjh and he was also offered a part in 'Lust Stories', the role which was eventually played by Vicky Kaushal. We all laughed at this new found information and he chimed in. Talking about his future plans, we then spoke about his latest album 'O.N.E' which released today. It has 17 songs but he originally wrote 30 and is super excited about it. His song 'Heartless' from the album has already created a lot of buzz (pun intended!). When I asked him what he would say to so many millennials struggling to balance between getting a degree and pursuing a passion, he had a very practical and simple message for them. “I think you just have to be very smart about it and don't be foolish. Perseverance is very important because music is very liberating. However, you need to see how it will work out, you also have to feed yourself after all. I was working twice as hard when I was earning to invest in my music career.” If there is anything you can take away from this King, then it is the fact that there is so much more to learn from him than just make good music. I hope he keeps entertaining us for the longest time! We sign off and end the interview with a smile, a picture for memory and me beaming with joy as I walk out of the studio.
  24. ASUS has been making and selling phones in India for years now, but the company has never been able to establish itself as a major player, until now. This year, starting with the ZenFone Max Pro, things have changed for good. The company is more focused than ever on just one market and is releasing phones keeping the Indian user in mind. The Zenfone Max Pro has managed to grab a considerable portion of the midrange segment. We've reviewed the device as well, and it's among the best we've seen in the segment. Now, ASUS has released the ZenFone 5Z and intends to take on the OnePlus 6. It has everything a flagship should have, Snapdragon 845, excellent display, premium design, and tonnes of storage. The ZenFone 5Z is not only cheaper than the OnePlus 6 and Nova 3 but also claims to offer more features. To maintain the price gap, has ASUS cut some corners? Let's find out. Design & Hardware: © MensXP The ZenFone 5Z continues ASUS' design language and has a glass backing that refracts light to create concentric circles. It has rounded corners and is completely built out of aluminium. On the front, it has the trending notch on the top, the bezels are very thin and the chin is pretty small as well. The overall feel of the phone is very premium. Thanks to the glass backing, it does tend to get very slippery and attracts smudges easily. The back sports the fingerprint scanner as well as the vertical dual-camera setup. The bottom has a USB-C port for charging and data transfer along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The power button and volume rockers are on the right side while the SIM tray is on the left. For one hand use, the phone is huge. But at the same time, it is also lighter at just 155gms and feels thinner at 7.7mm. The camera module in the rear is slightly raised, but it does not make the device wobble easily. Weight distribution is even, and generally, the phone feels solidly built. © MensXP The front houses a 6.2-inch LCD FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. While the competition houses an AMOLED panel, I wouldn't consider the absence a drawback since 5Z has the best LCD panel I've seen on Android phones. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and 2.5D curved on the edges. The notch is a lot wider, meaning lesser space for notifications on the sides, however, you do have the option to completely hide it. The contrast levels aren't as deep as an AMOLED panel, but it gets sufficiently bright outdoors, has great saturation, and wide viewing angles. ASUS has also added customizable colour temperature along with automatic adjustments via the ambient light sensor. © MensXP There is also an option to select wide colour gamut that has slightly more saturated colours along with a standard mode for natural viewing. The phone also comes with a Smart Screen feature that detects when the device is held upright and extends the display's time-out time. Performance: © MensXP The phone is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 chipset along with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage (base variant). The other configurations come with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Just like we expected, normal tasks are smooth and the phone has rarely slowed down or given any indication that it cannot handle a particular process. Games like Asphalt and PUBG not only run smoothly but churn out high frame rates. Just like a flagship should, this device gets everything done without a glitch. And while we were expecting a few lags or stutters thanks to ZenUI, we found none, but more on that later. © MensXP The storage is expandable via a microSD card, and the phone supports a hybrid SIM tray, meaning you can plug in either two SIM cards or one SIM and one microSD card. The phone is backed by a 3300mAh battery which is the same as the OnePlus 6. I got around 5.5 hours of screen-on time which is slightly lower than today's flagship benchmark. The phone can easily get you through one day of heavy usage, which includes some streaming, gaming, calls, social networking, and music. The phone supports fast charging via ASUS' BoostMaster technology and supports Quick Charge 3.0. It isn't as fast as Dash Charging and takes an hour and a half to charge fully from 5 per cent. You'll get to 60 per cent in the first minutes though. The company has bundled along an 18W charger and USB-C cable. © MensXP The phone also has multiple battery modes like Power Saver that turns off background tasks, lowers brightness, and throttles the CPU. On the flipside, there's also a Performance Mode that prioritises the task at hand and slightly overclocks the CPU. Clearly, this will drain your battery faster though. The phone has stereo speakers, and they are among the loudest we've ever heard. ASUS has also added an 'outdoor' mode that basically lowers down on background audio and amplifies the dialogue or lyrics. Software: © MensXP This is where things start getting exciting. While we've always preferred a near stock experience, ASUS has done an excellent job with ZenUI 5. Gone are the days when their skin used to be cluttered, slow, and sometimes even annoying. ZenUI 5 is super smooth, efficient, and aesthetic. It is based on Android 8.0 Oreo and the company says it incorporates a host of new 'AI' features. Honestly, ASUS has overkilled it with the use of the term AI, however, the additions are very handy in day to day usage. The phone has an AI Charging that understands your sleeping pattern and charges the phone accordingly. So, if you usually keep your phone aside at 11 AM and use it in the morning at 7 AM, it will not fast charge your phone, but shut off charging in the middle of the night and completely charge it early in the morning. This way, the battery takes the lesser stress and overall longevity is improved. If you have a very dynamic sleeping cycle like me, charging times can also be manually scheduled. © MensXP Even the App Drawer has an AI-powered auto-suggestion for apps, the phone understands the apps that you frequently use along with the pattern, like if you open Instagram and then Snapchat, the phone knows you are on a social networking spree. There is also a Game toolbar that locks the navigation bar, disables notifications and optimises performance for the best gaming experience. While we appreciate the plethora of nifty features ASUS has incorporated, the phone misses out on Gesture support. While almost every other phone today has some kind of gesture navigation, the ZenFone 5Z completely skips it. After using the iPhone X and OnePlus 6, it has almost become a bare necessity. But again, this is purely a personal preference and the conventional navigation bars on this phone are perfect. The fingerprint scanner is super-fast and is located at a very ergonomic position so you'll never have to stretch your fingers. The phone also has support for Face Unlock, but it has been very disappointing. Very rarely was I able to actually unlock the phone with it, and even if it works, it's extremely slow. 9/10 times I preferred to simply use the fingerprint scanner than wait for it to detect my face and then unlock. Camera: © MensXP The ZenFone 5Z has a dual camera setup on the rear consisting of a 12MP dual-pixel image sensor powered by Sony IMX363 and a secondary 8-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens while the front has an 8-megapixel sensor. As far as the rear camera is concerned, the images are sharp and the colour is well-balanced in well-lit conditions. The dynamic range is average, though the HDR is a little too strong. As far as portrait shots are concerned, the OnePlus 6 wins here. The ZenFone 5Z isn't always able to make out headgear or spectacles, and the blur often looks very artificial. ASUS says the portrait output will be improvised with a software update, and we've already received one. Yet, there hasn't been any significant change. One thing I really like is the low-light performance though. The AI kicks in, increases exposure and shutter speed very well and the output is very good. The availability of a pro-mode makes this even better. The wide-angle mode is top-notch, and the best part is that pictures don't get grainy even at the corners. © MensXP One issue I noticed was, the rear camera often had trouble balancing the warmth. Taking pictures at sunset from an aeroplane, the output was just too cool while the OnePlus 6 and iPhone 7 grabbed the colours very well. I tried shifting and refocusing, but nothing worked. I purposely didn't intend to change the AWB manually and was curious whether the phone is able to fix the issue on its own. The front camera, in my opinion, is a miss. The pictures are often too grainy in low-light, the beautification is often too harsh, and the pictures lack detail. Whether you like it or not, the AI that sits inside the phone has no switch-off key. For those who aren't much into photography may not care, but it does tend to get annoying when you actually don't need its help. Samples: © MensXP © MensXP © MensXP © MensXP © MensXP © MensXP © MensXP Final Verdict: ASUS has definitely built a near perfect flagship phone, one that can and is definitely, in fact, taking on the OnePlus 6. The deal gets even more tempting when we consider the price-gap between the two. The ZenFone 5Z has expandable storage, glass design, and worthy features while the OnePlus 6 has the most stable and trusted OxygenOS, better camera, and a slightly better display. For photography aficionados out there, the answer is simple, go with the OnePlus 6. For all other casual users out there, should you buy this phone? Yes. I'd highly recommend it. ASUS has a history of spotty software updates, but in the last few months we've seen the company actively push out fixes and the company is confident it will continue to do so in the coming years. OnePlus 6 is a perfect phone right now, but when you can save Rs 4-5K, why not go with the ZenFone 5Z?
