  1. Hundreds of villages and swathes of farmland are lost beneath the water — destroyed by floods that have affected nearly a third of Pakistan
  2. Remember Somy Ali? The former Pakistan-born Bollywood actress dated industry superstar Salman Khan a long time ago, with the couple head over heels in love with each other. © M.R. Shahjahan The actress starred in several Bollywood movies in the 90s, however, her career as well as her relationship with Salman, were both short-lived and she decided to leave India. Now, while she's clearly broken her bond with the film industry in India, it looks like she has some very crucial information to share with all of us. View this post on Instagram The 46-year-old actress has taken to Instagram to issue a warning to expose the biggest sexual predator of Bollywood. Not just that, Somy has also gone to the extent of calling him the 'Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood'. © Reuters Weinstein was at the centre of the big Me Too movement with many stars accusing the Hollywood biggie of sexually assaulting them. According to reports, more than 80 women had made allegations against Weinstein that included charges of rape for which the producer was sentenced to 23 years in prison. Now, Somy has put up an Instagram post to indicate that there exists a version of Harvey Weinstein in Bollywood as well, and she's also tagged Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in it. View this post on Instagram "The Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood! You will be exposed. The women you abused will come out one day and share their truth. Just like @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb." Somy wrote. © Instagram This news obviously has a big shock value and is set to create a lot of public uproar for Bollywood, which has come under a lot of criticism in recent times. What exactly is Aishwarya's say in all of this, remains to be seen. The actress had already been reported to be one of the female stars who came across Hollywood's Harvey Weinstein. Aishwarya's Hollywood agent had once revealed that Weinstein wanted to get alone in a room with her and did everything to achieve that objective. © Twitter However, her agent squashed any chances he made and helped the actress get out from under his grip. It's still unclear whether Somy will elaborate on her statement on Instagram in the near future. But it should still be enough to create a certain curiosity amongst people regarding who the actual person is, the so-called 'Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood'. View the full article
  3. The Indian team suffered a heartbreaking loss to South Africa in their final league game of the ongoing Women's World Cup that ended their campaign on Sunday (March 27). Team India needed to win to qualify for the semis but they fell agonisingly short after the penultimate delivery of the match was called a no-ball by the TV umpire. Deepti Sharma had overstepped by an inch and that cost India dearly in the do-or-die contest. For showing admirable fighting spirit, fans and former cricketers extended their support for the Women in Blue on social media. Ex-India captain Virat Kohli too took to Twitter to react to the women's team exit from the World Cup. Always tough to bow out of a tournament you aim to win but our women's team can hold their heads high. You gave it your all and we are proud of you. — Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) March 28, 2022 Kohli, who himself has tasted heartbreaking losses as captain in ICC global events, said that the team can hold their heads high as they fought with everything they had on the field. "Always tough to bow out of a tournament you aim to win but our women's team can hold their heads high. You gave it your all and we are proud of you," Kohli tweeted. Kohli's emotional post for the women's team left quite a few Indian cricket fans emotional as they reacted to the post on social media. Who knows it better than you https://t.co/9RcWXXrJup — Ravi Agarwal (@DoneHaiBro) March 28, 2022Who would know better about it than u kolhi https://t.co/sWNbbnE1zR — Chalak Billu (@chalakbillllu) March 28, 2022Who knows the pain more than this guy https://t.co/LccOEo6Rj1 — Camlin Oil Pastels (@CamlinTweets) March 28, 2022Virat knows this feeling! https://t.co/5f7vfkptZS — Gagan Kumar Sharma (@imsharmag002) March 28, 2022I am so happy that our women's team is getting increasing support from our men's team. There is a lot that they can teach other. I wish @BCCI takes up their job on this. https://t.co/kXINVN9mCm — Ashu (@ASHUTOSHYASH) March 28, 2022Golden words from sir Virat Kohli...!! https://t.co/7Nd0fhe4UB — Pranav Sri Datta (@PranavSriDatta) March 28, 2022In the match, Deepti had taken a crucial wicket of the second-last ball of the match but she failed to land her foot inside the crease by inches and it was deemed as a no-ball, India were denied the wicket and lost the match on the final ball, bowing out of the tournament. Following the loss, India finished fifth on the points table of the eight-team tournament as the West Indies took the fourth spot as the last semi-finalist. Deepti Sharma to du Preez, no ball, It's Harman once again and du Preez has holed out, have they changed strike? This was tossed up on off and du Preez saw the chance to hit the winning boundary, was looking to loft it wide of long-on, but she dragged it high and pic.twitter.com/wc5QDLUiHF — Live Cricket Master Updater (@MohsinM55415496) March 27, 2022 It was the last World Cup for two of Indian women's cricket stalwarts, captain Mithali Raj and pacer Jhulan Goswami. After the game, Mithali did hint that it might not be the last time fans see her in an Indian jersey on the field. "It would not be appropriate for me to comment anything on that, considering the kind of game we just played and as I said, the emotions are still there. So, it needs to settle down before I could have clarity on that and give an answer to that," Mithali said at the post-match press conference. Admit it, Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami deserved a better farewell. #CWC22 #TeamIndia pic.twitter.com/DmKBm3LAAZ — Female Cricket #CWC22 (@imfemalecricket) March 27, 2022 The duo of Mithali and Goswami may not get their hands on a World Cup title but the team needs them to stay and make the transition easy for the youngsters who will come into the side.
