  1. Do you think television soaps hit their lowest when Gopi Bahu washed the laptop? Well, you're wrong. 2020 has given us some more epic scenes that question the existence of the word logic in the dictionary. Indian television kept us hooked with its over-the-top sequences because this is what memes are made of. Be it Bollywood movies or Indian TV soaps, we have scenes that don’t make sense at all, and here are five times Indian daily soaps gave us scenes that made us go, ‘Matlab Kuch Bhi,’ Arnab Goswami style. Bathroom Scrubber - A Sasta Jugaad For Defibrillator MachineYes, this happened. A snippet from the Bangla show Krishnakoli, a romantic-drama series, went viral as the makers thought it’s easier to fool people when an intense scene is getting aired. 2. If you are a 90s kid, I am sure you might have not missed Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Owing to the Coronavirus outbreak, we all are at homes, and OTT platforms have come to our rescue as boredom is killing is us all. As 2020 is one year that I feel has been downloaded by mistake, I wanted to go back in time and relive my 90s. I was surfing Netflix and I stumbled upon Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Well, I decided to watch it for the sake of good old days. After watching it, I realized that neither Shah Rukh Khan aka Rahul nor Salman Khan aka Aman was the perfect fit for Kajol aka Anjali So, I did an analysis of why Rahul and Aman didn't deserve Anjali's love. Let me give you 5 reasons why these two men didn't deserve Kajol. 1) Rahul's ideology of 'pyaar dosti hai' was completely fraud as it gave false hopes to Anjali. Well, if a man walks up to me who's is close friend comes to me and says that he can only fall with his best friend, I would have had my hopes high. They both were best friends but he chose Tina over Anjali(who is the best friend actually). © Dharma Productions 2) Rahul was one selfish character as Anjali was never his priority or maybe he saw her as the second option. When he started to feel all lonely, he was all hovering around her and suddenly felt he has this feeling of old found love for Anjali. Even after knowing that Anjali is trying to move on, he tries his best to woo her. © Dharma Productions 3) Rahul was completely sexist because he kept mentioning that women can't play basketball and based his ideologies on looks for that matter. When Anjali dressed like a tomboy, Rahul didn't pay any heed to her but when she started to dress up more like a woman according to his perception, he went all 'gung ho' about her. Rahul falls for Anjali after she changes from a âtomboyâ to a more feminine appearance. © Dharma Productions 4) Aman, equally, didn't deserve her. Well, the whole idea of imposing Anjali for getting married to him didn't fit well. He even mentioned that he would drag her to the 'mandap' against her will. 5) Aman gives up on her way too easily. In the movie, it might have looked like a perfect end that Aman told Anjali to be with Rahul because she is still in love with him. In reality, you wouldn't do such a thing at all. © Dharma Productions Well, if there would have been Kuch Kuch Hota 2.0, I would prefer Anjali dumping both Aman and Rahul because they both clearly didn't deserve her! 3. If you're a Star Wars fan, it's likely that you'll remember the iconic twin suns of Tatooine: Cool, aren't they? A young intern at NASA however, has just discovered a new planet - where you might be able to spot the greatest sunrise of all time - with two suns at once. The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, also known as TESS, is a specialised space telescope that was launched into orbit by SpaceX in 2018 with the specific purpose of discovering exoplanets. The term refers to planets outside of the solar system, and as you might imagine, they're not particularly easy to spot. © NASA; An illustration of TESS working in orbit. The most common method of discovering them is locating dark spots in front of distant stars - caused by planets revolving around their respective stars and blocking their light from reaching us. This phenomenon is known as a 'transit', and TESS is able to detect them by using four powerful cameras to capture 1296 images of the same patch of sky across 27 days - that's a single hi-res image every half-hour. © NASA; Optics engineer Greg Balonek prepares a TESS flight lens for modal testing at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. The intern, Wolf Cukier, joined NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, after his junior year of high school at Scarsdale High School in New York. He was assigned to study variations in star brightness captured by TESS and upload it to the Planet Hunters TESS citizen science project. © New York Post; Wolf sitting at his desk in a NASA jumper. Note the physics textbooks and telescope - he's clearly in the perfect line of work. "I was looking through the data for everything the volunteers had flagged as an eclipsing binary, a system where two stars circle around each other and from our view eclipse each other every orbit," Cukier said in a statement from NASA. "About three days into my internship, I saw a signal from a system called TOI 1338. At first I thought it was a stellar eclipse, but the timing was wrong. It turned out to be a planet." What's remarkable about Cukier's discovery is that the planet is 'circumbinary' - revolving around two suns instead of one like in the solar system. There are only about two dozen such planets discovered, making the intern's fortunate finding all the more special. Designated as TOI 1338 b, it is the only planet in the TOI 1338 system and revolves around the twin suns every 95 days - both of them revolve around each other much faster at 15 days and are considerably different from each other. One is 10% larger than our Sun, while the other is just a third of the Sun's mass, and is much dimmer and smaller. If you're looking to catch that special sunset however, it's quite unlikely - the system is 1,300 light years away from Earth, and is 6.9 times the size of our planet - making it likely that even if we survive the journey and the harsh radiation and heat from two suns, TOI 1338 b's gravity is likely to crush us like a grape. Unfortunately for Wolf, he doesn't get to name his discovery - although his brother suggests that 'Wolftopia' would be pretty cool. View the full article
  4. Nothing sparked greater joy than the time when we first set our eyes on Rahul and Anjali giving us major #FriendshipGoals. No Tina or Aman stood a chance when it came to a bond such as theirs. © Yash Raj films Despite Rahul winning over his lady love, many sullen faces made it known that a whole bunch of people were rooting for Rahul and Anjali's union, regardless of the lost time, and the many changes their lives may have undergone. However, talking about changes, here's a rundown of all the things that have changed (or not) in the 21 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: 1. Little Anjali Turned Into A Bombshell © Instagram/Sana Saeed-Navin Dhyani We're looking at you Sana Saeed, and we love what we see! 2. Parzaan Dastur Outgrew His Silent Sardarji Image © Instagram/Parzaan Dastur The star counting sardarji has turned into a talented young chap. Savita Dadi Has Happily Turned Old & Grey Having Found Rahul's Anjali The frequency of her bhajan sabha has increased manifold now that her life purpose has been served. 9. College Fests Have Moved Out Of Auditoriums & Into The Open DU Fests. Need we say more? With celeb performances and what now, fests are no longer just a 'fun-day' it's a funda. 10. 5. We were probably in third or fourth grade when Archie comics got its Indian avatar in the form of KJO drama Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Anjali and Rahul instantly became friendship goals for us and Tina became everyone's crush. Also, wearing that 'cool' around our neck was a 'thing' . Believe it or not, it's been 21 years since it happened to us and naturally everyone has been talking about KKHH today on social media. View this post on Instagram Firsts are always special! The cast, crew, music & the heart & soul of this film was all in the right placeâ¤ï¸ Thank you for making this journey a timeless one even after 21yrs! #21YearsOfClassicKKHH @iamsrk @kajol #RaniMukerji @beingsalmankhan @apoorva1972 @DharmaMovies A post shared by Karan Johar (@karanjohar) on Oct 15, 2019 at 8:45pm PDT So, while I was casually listening to KKHH album in the morning ever since I spotted the trend online, I also stumbled across a few BTS videos from the time it was shot and boy, it is pure gold to watch them now! Also, last year KJO threw light on how certain scenes were shot and where were they shot. Besides, there were a few deleted scenes as well that was like a child finding a hidden toy. Pure joy watching the parts which didn't make it to the final cut. Not many people know but Salman's role was in fact first offered to Saif Ali Khan and Rani's role was rejected by many actresses including Raveena Tandon and Twinkle Khanna. We're glad the movie turned out the way it did because it wouldn't have been the iconic movie of love and friendship without any of these ingredients.
  6. In today's day and age, imagine living a social media nightmare! How absolutely callous do you have to be, right? Well, seems like callousness got the better of 'Baaghi 2' beauty, Disha Patani, who posted a big blunder on her Instagram, unknowingly. © Twitter The actress, who's also known as a social media influencer, posted a promotional video for a mobile phone on her Instagram page. The video was like how all promotional videos are supposed to be- well thought out, where she learns about the good camera quality the phone has and takes pictures of herself while she's in various yoga poses. Unfortunately though, while posting the video on her page, she copy-pasted the wrong text as caption and didn't realise it until she was trolled and ridiculed by her followers for it. © Instagram disha patani is an advertising agency nightmare pic.twitter.com/mlu6gkhure — n (@themdavesaves) 22 January 2019 The wrongly put caption read: “Hey - final video is here. Will mail you the high res video in something so please use that as the final video to be uploaded. Caption below,” Oops, talk about being so heavily distracted, you don't even realise one of the biggest faux-pas that can maybe question your 'influencer' abilities! Obviously her 17 million followers were appalled at her foolishness or were convinced she's an 'advertising agency nightmare'. © Instagram A lot of other followers left no stone unturned and made it a point to comment on her absentmindedness. Here, you can have a chuckle and a large bucket of popcorn while reading some of the comments below. Ctrl C+ Ctrl V isn't enough to copy. It requires brain too ð — Vishesh Arora (@vishesharora19) 22 January 2019 This one steals the show though. Copy Paste kaise karte hai yeh Disha ko Patani — LowCash Rahul (@NayaGamer) 22 January 2019 She's since changed the caption to a regular one and everything else is back to normal or so it seems. Although her fans defended her saying it's probably her team who'd captioned it and not her, we're still a tad doubtful as most celebrities usually manage their own Instagram and Twitter accounts. © Instagram Well, whatever it is, here's hoping against all hope Disha doesn't zone out again and copy-paste some seriously wrong captions at the risk of people asking her 'what are you smoking girl'?, the next time around! For now let's just wish we get to see the fit diva in 'Baaghi 3', with her rumoured bae Tiger Shroff.
  7. When it comes to iconic movies, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' will definitely secure a spot in the top 10 list in Bollywood. This KJo potboiler had everything a Bollywood movie should have- drama, good music, trendsetting style statements, and tearjerker moments. We all grew up with the distinctive memories of Rahul, Anjali, and Tina. Clearly, Bollywood star kids are no different when it comes to their appetite for entertainment. The best example probably is Varun Dhawan, who proved it last night. He attended the 20th anniversary bash of 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', wearing a super fun custom-made T-shirt dedicated to the movie. Take a look: © Viral Bhayani Now, you must be thinking why does the T-shirt say 'uncool' and what can it possibly have to do with the movie? Take a look at the next picture. © Viral Bhayani Ta-Da! He peeled the 'uncool' off to reveal #KKHH. How did he do it? See below. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Anaita Adajania (@anaitashroffadajania) on Oct 16, 2018 at 7:49am PDT Now, this is some really clever usage of fashion and technology. We legit don't remember when was the last time we were this fond of velcro. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Coming to the rest of his outfit, we love everything about it. Clad in YSL, Diesel, and TISA, Varun Dhawan looked like someone who'd be featured on 'The Neelam Show' in a heartbeat. See what we did there? (winks)
  8. The iconic movie from everyone's childhood, which taught us a lot about love, friendship and life, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' has completed a glorious 20 years of its existence. The cast came together to celebrate the milestone and relive the good times that went by. © Instagram During the press conference and the interaction, the superstars dished out interesting details about the filming of 'KKHH' and Shah Rukh Khan had some pretty funny things to say. He revealed how he once thought that the script of the movie made no sense, and that he still has no sense of what it actually was! “I never listen to scripts, I listen to the heartbeats of the people I work with at times millennial chat with me and say things like why you let go of that script that was such a great script. Till date, I never understood a script. And I can say this with confidence that I never understood the script but the script maker or the filmmaker,” he explained. “Karan came and narrated an utterly nonsense crap story to me; which is certainly not the one that finally you people saw in the film. In his strange way Karan, the man with many words tried to impress me with his crap story. So yes, I really did not understand the story when I signed in. and I am glad that I did not get into the story and just went ahead with the conviction of Karan, otherwise the film would have not been the way it came out,” he further added. When asked as to what he thought the characters of Rahul and Anjali would be two decades later, Khan said, "Rahul was a bit of a fraud anyway. He used to say 'we love once, marry once' but did it twice. In my head, I hope the marriage works, but it must have been a tough marriage." However, aren't we glad that he went ahead with it and became a permanent part of our memories?
  9. If you tell me that you haven't watched 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' even once, or secretly relate to one of the characters, probably sang 'Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aayi' for someone and have not danced to 'Saajan Ji Ghar Aaye' as a kid, I simply refuse to believe you. The movie gave wings to a lot of teenage dreams of love, romance and friendship. It's kind of hard to believe that the movie is celebrating its 20th anniversary today and social media is abuzz with nostalgia. I can't believe it's been #20YearsOfKKHH ! A film that gave me love ,acceptance and a career....will always be eternally grateful to @KajolAtUN @iamsrk #rani and @BeingSalmanKhan for indulging a 25 years old boy with stars in his eyes! Thank you for all the loveâ¤ï¸ pic.twitter.com/xm3RGVOneI — Karan Johar (@karanjohar) October 16, 2018 So, while we douse ourselves with nostalgia, here's a list of 6 lesser-known facts about the movie that holds a special place in all our hearts: 1. Rani Mukherji was just 19-years-old and she was not the original choice for the role. Karan Johar wrote the role for Twinkle Khanna, whose real name is Tina. © Instagram 2. Salman Khan's role was offered to Saif Ali Khan who turned it down. 3. Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan were the only choices for playing Rahul and Anjali when Karan Johar planned 'KKHH'. They had promised him that they'd work in his movie while the trio was working on 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'. © Twitter 4. The movie was inspired by Archie Comics. SRK's character was based on Archie, Rani was Veronica and Betty was essayed by Kajol of course. Anupam Kher's character was based on principal Weatherbee. © Twitter 5. The list of celebs who made an appearance in the movie include Manish Malhotra, Farah Khan, Geeta Kapoor, Nikhil Advani (who directed 'Kal Ho Na Ho' ) and Neelam Kothari. © Dharma productions 6. KJo initially wanted to dub Rani's voice since he thought it was too husky but went ahead with it (a good decision we say!). Besides making me feel very old right now, the only thing running in my mind, as I type this, is the title song. The movie might remind you of a lost love, first crush or your best friend, so make sure you watch it today on its glorious anniversary!
  10. The reign of the solo moustache might seemingly be over, but not quite. It ruled throughout the '70s, '80s, and '90s, but still periodically casts its regal shadow over all the new beardstyles. After all, what compares to a good ol' handlebar moustache or a solid pornstache when it comes to establishing a manly aesthetic? When it comes to inspiration, the first (or rather, only) place one looks at is Bollywood, and for good reason. Here, we have compiled a list of 10 Bollywood actors who give us solid moustache goals. 1. Ranveer Singh Baba has always been out there, without any hesitation or reservation whatsoever when it comes to style moves. Naturally, he is the forerunner in this race. © Twitter © Twitter © Twitter 2. Aamir Khan Aptly known as 'Mr Perfectionist', Aamir has always made sure to turn heads whenever he decided to sport a moustache. © Twitter © Twitter © Twitter 3. Saif Ali Khan Who can carry off a moustache better than a real 'Nawab'? No one quite has the sophisticated, gentlemanly charm like Saif when it comes to sporting a moustache. © Twitter © Twitter 4. Shahid Kapoor Even though Shahid pretty much is the flagbearer of the awesome stubble, he proved that he can don that mantle for the solo moustache as well when he wants to, effortlessly so. © Twitter © Twitter 5. John Abraham When John decided to sport the pornstache, let's just say it was a hazard for the knees of the women in the country, collectively. (Because they all got weak in the knees, lest you think of something more twisted). © Twitter © Twitter 6. Ajay Devgn Ajay 'Singham' Devgn finally found his true aesthetic with a badass cop moustache. He honestly has never looked better. © Twitter © Twitter 7. Akshay Kumar Even though Mr. Khiladi usually prefers a clean shaven aesthetic, he can totally pull off a mean 'stache. © Twitter © Twitter 8. Salman Khan Salman Khan's moustache in 'Dabangg' confused and impressed us at the same time. We were used to seeing bhai in his regular 'too cool to bother about facial hair' avatar, and then 'bam!' © Twitter © Twitter 9. Varun Dhawan An unlikely contender for a 'moustache-bearing hero', Varun totally surprised us with the impressive retro vibe he brought along with his 'stache. © Twitter © Twitter 10. Anil Kapoor We have saved the best for last. When you say 'Bollywood' and 'moustache' in the same sentence, this man has to be the vision in your head. The fact that he has always maintained it and ensured it only got better with time, crowns him as the ultimate 'stache king' of Bollywood. © Twitter © Twitter

  13. While, for the rest of the world this Monday is still going to be boring and mundane, there is one guy who is probably flying high on cloud nine and dancing with joy, with no 'blues' to give whatsoever. The guy in question is none other than Karan Johar, whose directorial debut 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' is making the world go crazy, even after 20 years of its release. And the Berlin Film Festival only cemented the fact for us. © Yash Raj Films If the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol-Rani Mukherjee starrer taught us anything, it is the trick of using cheesy pickup lines like a pro, and getting any girl with 'pyaar dosti hai' logic. Seriously, didn't we all try this line, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai *insert our crush's name*, tum nahi samjhoge”, on people at least once? Well, how can we forget that this is the same movie that gave us Sana Saeed. Yes, we are talking about the hottie from 'Student Of The Year'. The movie also gave us one of the most epic transformation stories, which happened over an unrequited love. © Yash Raj Films The movie also gave one of the coolest Dadis of all time and even today we feel that she possibly time-travelled from the future, because she was clearly way ahead of her time. She even sneaked out with her granddaughter for a summer camp. The movie made us realize how life is not about 'counting dollars' but 'stars', thanks to this kid, who had just one job throughout the movie and that was to look at stars. Lastly, the movie also predicted Salman's future for all of us that he is going to stay single. The movie had something or the other for everyone and no matter how old we grow; we can re-watch this movie every time it pops up on our TV screens. © Yash Raj Films But, we guess it isn't just India that's affected by the charm of this movie. Other countries too love Bollywood as much as we do, and the magic of this iconic movie was witnessed at the Berlin Film Festivals. To pay a tribute to 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra played the title track, which was welcomed by a huge round of applause by the audience. Honestly, there couldn't have been a better rendition than this and we can listen to it the whole day on loop. Even Karan Johar was so impressed by it that he took to Twitter to express his joy. Was so excited and honoured to see this!!!!! #KuchKuchHotaHai https://t.co/EKsDTSMVj1 — Karan Johar (@karanjohar) 18 February 2018 It's impressive how after so many years, the movie still manages to flutter many a hearts and make people drown in a pool of nostalgia. Karan Johar is currently gearing up for another kickass movie 'Ranbhoomi' starring varun Dhawan.

While one can indulge in an hour-long discussion about how successful Riteish and Genelia are as actors, there will be not be a single person in the room who would doubt that they are indeed one of the most adorable couples in tinsel town. If you are single and sad about the same, we advise you to never look at either one of their social media handles. Why? Because you'll see a lot of this: Happy Birthday My Everything... You will Forever be my Always. #Myheart #partnerincrime #myboyfriend #mybestfriend #lifeislivingyou A post shared by Genelia Deshmukh (@geneliad) on Dec 16, 2017 at 4:12pm PST And this: Sometimes just sometimes in our ordinary, mundane, boring lives GOD gives us a fairytale and that fairytale for me is our story.. Happy Anniversary to the man who still makes me fall in love with him everyday.. I Love You @riteishd A post shared by Genelia Deshmukh (@geneliad) on Feb 2, 2018 at 6:54pm PST Oh, and this too: I will always hold onto you so tight and that's because I know something so amazing doesn't happen twice..Happy Anniversary @riteishd .. thank you for changing the meaning of "Home" from a place to a person for me.. #mykindalove #wedidgoodhoney #tothebestandrestofourlives A post shared by Genelia Deshmukh (@geneliad) on Feb 2, 2017 at 2:51pm PST Evidently, these two never shy away from social media PDA and we are always here for it. Their adorable pictures and mushy captions can melt anyone and everyone. But this time, it isn't just another one of their birthday or anniversary wishes that is making the rounds on the internet. It is their re-enactment of a rather 'iconic' scene from everyone's favorite 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. Remember the 'Rahul is a cheater' scene? Of course, you do! There's no way one can forget it. Here, jog your memory: While we have seen never-ending recreations of the scene, nothing has ever been as good as the original one. Until now. Riteish and Genelia, being the adorable couple that they are, decided to re-enact this very scene from their 'Fav movie'. Obviously, it HAD to go viral on the internet because no one can resist them, but we have to say that they did a pretty good job! Have a look: #RahulIsACheater ï¼#musicallyindia #DuetWithMe #CoupleGoals @geneliad One of our FAV Movies :) @musicallyapp Download https://t.co/yfNcfixjrj app and check my videos! pic.twitter.com/oH94LZvg05 — Riteish Deshmukh (@Riteishd) February 13, 2018 The original scene ends with Rahul and Anjali all ready to fight, Riteish and Genelia added their own little twist to it towards the end. Well, maybe they had to. You CANNOT get scared when your wife shouts at you, right? While we had a gala time watching them turn into Rahul and Anjali for a brief moment as a form of tribute, even 'Anjali' couldn't help but laugh at the same. This is what she tweeted after watching the video: ððð https://t.co/MKEMeQBabT — Kajol (@KajolAtUN) February 13, 2018 Well, what else do you need apart from Kajol's validation? Riteish and Genelia, your job is done. Now please stop being so adorable and giving us relationship goals, all the freaking time.

  18. Almost two decades ago, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ released and gave Bollywood the most annoying child characters in the history of Indian cinema. This precocious, over-intrusive, inappropriate, bubblier-than-bubble-wrap girl. © Dharma Productions If there was anything more cringe-worthy about that film, it was the Neelam…from of course, THE NEEEELAM SHOWWWW. YouTuber Be YouNick, in collaboration with Mostly Sane, recreated that iconic scene from ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ where Rahul appears on ‘The Neelam Show’ and calls out Anjali’s name on TV and it’s just the kind of spoof the film deserves. You’ve got to watch this right now. There’s no effing way you can guess the end.

Also, it’s totally legit if you’re hyper-ventilating already. It’s KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI for God’s sake! If you score well in this, I swear you’ll see a shooting star tonight. Ok, go!
