  1. Thalapathy Vijay, who is among the biggest names in the Tamil film industry, is currently waiting for the release of his much-hyped project Beast. Also featuring Pooja Hegde, the movie is slated to hit the theatres on April 13 and will clash with Yash-starrer KGF 2 and Shahid Kapoor's Jersey. View this post on Instagram Beast has already created a huge buzz across the country and is slated to release in around 600-700 screens in the Hindi market as well. Its Hindi version is titled Raw and the actor's fans in the North are looking forward to watching him on the silver screen. Everyone is expecting that the Vijay-starrer Beast will do well in the Hindi belts and might establish him as a pan-India star. While only time will tell if it happens or not, did you know that the South superstar had appeared in a Bollywood film, back in 2012? View this post on Instagram Well, Vijay made a cameo appearance in Akshay Kumar's 2012 release Rowdy Rathore. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the film starred Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead and turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. Interestingly, Vijay appeared in the song Chin Ta Ta Chita Chita and was seen shaking legs with Akshay and Prabhu Deva leaving fans elated. Besides the South star, Kareena Kapoor Khan too made an appearance in the hit song. Watch it below: The actor’s cameo in Rowdy Rathore turned out to be his only appearance in a Bollywood film. However, we hope that Beast changes things for him in the Hindi film industry and we get to see him romancing A-list actresses in many Bollywood movies. Coming back to Beast, the film revolves around Vijay's character as he got trapped inside a shopping mall after terrorists hold the mall-goers as hostages. In the trailer, he is seen fighting it out with them using guns and swords, indicating that this will be a violent action movie. Are you excited about the release of Beast? 2. Hollywood star and recent Oscar-Winner Will Smith is the most talked-about celebrity at the moment. The shocking Oscars 2022 incident of him slapping American comedian and actor Chris Rock is still doing the rounds on the internet, with memes being made out of it left, right, and centre. © Sony Liv Not just that, the actor also went on to win his first Oscar for Best Male Actor within an hour of the incident, and the Academy is now holding meetings to prepare for any actions that can be taken against Will. Now, while Will has been in mainstream cinema for a really long time in Hollywood, did you know that the actor has a Bollywood connection too? As it turns out, Will Smith shares a very special bond with one of the Bollywood superstars. The actor is none other than Akshay Kumar. © Instagram According to reports, it was the year 2017 when Will had been on a promotional tour for his film Bright when he stopped by in India to interact with the media to reveal his love for India. Not just that, the actor also spoke about his bond with Akshay and how he had missed out on meeting with him. As it turned out, Will had not been able to meet Akshay due to his work commitments. As per reports, the Men In Black actor had been to India a total of four times in the past and in 2016, had even partied with Akshay at his Mumbai home. © Twitter Will then revealed that the food he had at Akshay's place was the best he ever had and how he would just like to move in with him. “Yeah, this is my third time to Mumbai and my fourth time in India. I should just move in with Akshay [Kumar]. I was just talking about that. We had dinner at his place last time I was here, and it was literally the best food I’ve ever had. It just didn’t feel right to call him and ask him to send food because I’m not gonna be able to stop by. One thing I love about India is the food at Akshay’s, that’s the absolute best.” He added, “Last year, Akshay had a party and it was the best food that I have ever in my life. It was a little bit of everything. My favorite is chicken tikka masala.” He told Filmfare. We don't know what Twinkle's got to say about this. Source: Koimoi View the full article
  3. Akshay Kumar said, 'The Kashmir Files? success affected Bachchhan Paandey?s performance
  4. The Kashmir Files stars yesteryear superstar Mithun Chakraborty and veteran actor Anupam Kher in the leading roles. However, the film is centred around the character of Krishna Pandit played by Darshan Kumar who is a known face in the web world due to his roles in shows like Aashram, Avrodh, The Family Man and has featured in movies like Mary Kom, NH10 and Sarbjit. After playing supporting characters and negative roles, Darshan got his first lead role in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files and received a lot of acclaim for his layered performance. Many are going gaga over his long monologue in the climax of the film. © Instagram/Darshan Kumar However, a lesser-known fact is that Darshan didn’t start his film career with the 2014 film Mary Kom where he played Priyanka Chopra’s husband. That was without a doubt his breakthrough role but Darshan has been around since the year 2000. A few may remember that before getting meatier roles in films, Darshan starred in two highly popular movies in 2001 and 2003 as one of the friends of the lead actor. In the 2003 cult hit Tere Naam, Darshan was one of the three friends of Salman Khan’s Radhe Mohan. His character was named Kanak Sharma and had a few scenes and dialogues as well. © MAD Entertainment Check out one of the said sequences below: However, his debut was two years before Tere Naam in Tusshar Kapoor’s first film Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai. In the film, Darshan can be seen standing in the background as one of many friends of Tusshar’s character Karan. © Pooja Entertainment Check out a scene from Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai below: After playing minuscule roles in Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai and Tere Naam, Darshan Kumar turned towards TV and featured in a couple of shows like Chotti Bahu, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev. He returned to films in 2014 with his breakthrough role alongside Priyanka Chopra. Finally, after struggling for years, Darshan landed a lead role in a film with The Kashmir Files and rocked the box office. If this isn’t a true success story then what is. View the full article
