  1. The Delhi High Court has dismissed the lawsuit filed by Juhi Chawla for the introduction of 5G technology in India and was imposed a fine of Rs 20 Lakh. The court on Wednesday reserved its order in the suit and after hearing arguments, dismissed the case today over its maintainability. © Instagram/Juhi Chawla Justice Jag Jivan Ram Midha said that the suit was “defective” and dismissed it on technical grounds. “The plaintiffs have abused and misused the process of law which has resulted in waste of judicial time. The cost of Rs 20 lakh is imposed on the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs are directed to deposit the cost of Rs 20 lakh with Delhi State Legal Services Authority within one week,” said the court. It also added that if the fine is not deposited within one week, the DLSA will recover it in accordance with the law. © Instagram/Juhi Chawla The court blasts the actor yesterday for filing a lawsuit without giving any representation to the government on her concerns related to the technology. Juhi Chawla’s plea claims that 5G wireless technology can threaten to provoke serious, irreversible effects on humans and permanent damage to the Earth's ecosystems. The court further said, “It is a defective plaint. This suit has been filed only for media publicity and nothing more than that. It is very shocking. Did you approach the government with a representation? If yes, is there any denial?,” the court asked to which the plaintiffs’ counsel replied in negative. © Reuters The proceedings also saw interruptions at least three times in midst of arguments by usernames ‘Manisha Koirala’ and ‘Jahnvi’ where songs featuring Juhi Chawla were sung. Justice Midha warned the user against interruptions and locked the virtual courtroom. Chawla had shared the link to the virtual hearing on her Twitter and Instagram accounts prior to the hearing on Wednesday. What do you think of Juhi Chawla getting fined by the Delhi High Court for the sum of Rs 29 Lakh? Do you think she deserved it or was the court hard on her? View the full article
  2. People often find social media platforms more convenient to troll, bully and insult someone because it's the easiest way to say what you want without any confrontation. However, have you ever wondered what’s the worst thing that could happen to you if you are being rude or insulting someone on a messaging app? © iStock This UAE man found the answer to this question the hard (and quite an expensive) way. He hurt a woman’s feelings by accusing her of befriending and seducing other men over Whatsapp text. He had also accused her of sending inappropriate pictures to other men and allegedly said in one of the texts, “Shame on you and your upbringing.” © iStock The woman went to court and demanded a compensation of 100000 dirhams (INR 19 lakh) for all the humiliation and mental trauma she suffered because of him. She said she received text messages from him accusing her of having relationships with multiple men. © iStock The Al Ain Court of First Instance found the man guilty of hurting her feelings and reputation via texts and ordered him to pay a compensation of 20,000 dirhams which equates to approx. 3.95 lakh INR. He was also asked to cover her legal charges incurred in the case along with the compensation amount. © iStock The defendant had requested the court to reject her plea claiming that she owed him 39000 dirhams and this lawsuit was a stint to negotiate the amount. However, seeing the evidence, the court convicted him in the criminal case of causing moral damage and insulting the woman, which is an unlawful act. © iStock However bizarre it sounds, this isn’t strange for UAE courts and this is certainly not the first case where a person has been ordered to compensate someone for insult. Prior to this, people have been charged with a hefty amount of money for insulting someone via audio clips and texts in the past. View the full article
  3. On Monday, the Delhi Police announced a reward of Rs. 1 Lakh for anyone who was willing to give any information on the whereabouts of National wrestler Sushil Kumar, who according to multiple sources, has been on the run, after being linked to the murder of a 23-year old wrestler Sagar Rana. Delhi Police has also issued a Rs. 50,000 reward for information on Kumar’s associate, Ajay Kumar. #JUSTIN #SushilKumar Chhatrasal Stadium murder case: Reward of Rs 1 Lakh on info leading to arrest of wrestler @WrestlerSushil announced. Rs 50,000 reward announced for Ajay, who is absconding too: Delhi Police Non-bailable warrant has been issued against Kumar & others. pic.twitter.com/IacjyRgcZa — TOI Sports (@toisports) May 17, 2021 According to reports, Rana was assaulted by Kumar and a bunch of other wrestlers on May 4, a day after which, the young athlete breathed his last. An FIR was registered against Kumar, a two-time Olympic medallist, for abduction and criminal conspiracy and on Saturday, a non-bailable warrant was issued against him at Delhi’s Rohini court. Following the warrant, the Delhi Police had raided Kumar’s house but had to return empty-handed while gathering that the 37-year old had gone to Haridwar and then to Rishikesh in order to sneak away from the police. View this post on Instagram “Sagar had been at Chhatrasal for nearly eight years. He considered Sushil as his guru. I handed over my son to Mahabali Satpal, who runs Chhatrasal akhada. They promised to make him a fine wrestler,” Sagar's father Ashok was quoted as saying by The Indian Express. "He has won medals and represented India in international competitions. He was proud to be part of Chhatrasal. Sagar never missed a day of training. He didn’t want to let down his mentors… If Sagar did something wrong, they could have slapped him or thrown him out of Chhatrasal for good.” View this post on Instagram "They should have called me up or his father and told us what he was doing and why it could not be tolerated. We would have advised Sagar. But taking his life is unacceptable,” Narendra Dhankhar, Sagar's uncle, said. On May 11, the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) had made a statement to the Press Trust of India (PTI) talking about how the allegations and charges against Kumar had damaged the image of the sport in the country. “Yes, I must say that the image of Indian wrestling has got hurt badly by this. But we have nothing to do with what wrestlers do away from the mat. We are concerned with their on-mat performance,” WFI Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar told PTI. View the full article

  5. Harsh Varrdhan may not be a big star in Bollywood just as yet, but his sneaker collection can give some of the biggest hypebeasts a run for their money. From his super expensive Yeezy sneakers to his Jordan shoes, Harsh Varrdhan never lays low when it comes to wearing some sick pair of shoes. He is someone you need to follow if you wish to know the real meaning of what a sneakerhead is. This week, Harsh Varrdhan showed off one of the best pairs from his personal hoard. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani He was recently seen at the Mumbai airport, in quite a hip outfit. But, his sneakers as usual stole all the attention. If you are wondering what this pair is exactly, take a look at the details below. © Viral Bhayani © Stockx The outfit was definitely one for the books but his sneakers were the statement piece of the look. He was seen wearing Nike Dunk SB Low Heineken sneakers. The name speaks for itself. These shoes feature a white leather upper with mesh tongues. Furthermore, it has green nubuck overlays and black suede swooshes. There's red lacing and branding on the tongue and the heel as well. It also has a red star bordered on the white lateral heel atop. Finally, the green midsole and white rubber outsole finish the design. © Stockx As for the price, these sneakers when they were launched, were worth approximately Rs 4,500 but now since it's a rare pair, the price has surged. These shoes now resell for as high as $4258 or roughly Rs 3,12,275. Being a highly sought after pair, it fetches a hefty price in the sneaker market. © Viral Bhayani The outfit too is quite edgy if you ask us. Harsh Varrdhan is seen wearing heavily distressed pants with an oversized T-shirt. The holes seen all over the upper added an interesting appeal to his ensemble. As for accessories, he chose to keep it simple with black sunglasses. © Viral Bhayani In all, these are now our favourite beer-inspired sneakers. Truly, we can't wait to see the other exotic pairs Harsh Varrdhan has in store for us. View the full article
  6. Cricket Australia, the governing body of cricket Down Under, recently announced a donation worth AUD 50,000 towards combating the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in India. “Australians and Indians share a special bond and, for many, our mutual love of cricket is central to that friendship,” CA’s interim chief executive Nick Hockley said. “We were all deeply moved by the sentiments expressed and donations given by Pat Cummins and Brett Lee over the past week.” Cricket Australia have made a $50,000 donation to @UNICEFIndia's COVID19 Crisis Appeal.@CricketAus | #COVID19 https://t.co/PVeo02bFZo — cricket.com.au (@cricketcomau) May 3, 2021 "In that same spirit, we are proud to partner with UNICEF Australia to raise funds that will help the people of India by providing the health system with much needed oxygen, testing equipment and vaccines,” Hockley added. After Australian pacer Pat Cummins donated the same amount last week and the legendary Brett Lee donated one bitcoin worth of amount (approximately Rs. 44 lakh) for the same cause, this contribution by the Australian cricket board would surely go a long way towards helping the cause. pic.twitter.com/2TPkMmdWDE — Pat Cummins (@patcummins30) April 26, 2021 The practice of donations is supposed to be completely voluntary and to criticise or judge someone based on how much they have donated, simply sounds pathetic and out right silly. Still, as the country struggles to breathe, there are some social elements who are more interested in how much someone has donated, what currency did they donate in, and worst of all, why did they not donate more. It is unfortunate that such behaviour is not restricted to large organisations but to individual players as well. Last week after Cummins’ donation, many Indian cricket “fans” started comparing the Australian’s philanthropy with that of the Indian captain Virat Kohli. Kohli was called out on social media constantly for not making any contributions towards the second wave of the coronavirus, while the massive Rs. 3 crore donation made by his wife Anushka Sharma and him during the first wave, was simply and very conveniently forgotten. What gives us the right to tell someone how much they should donate towards a cause? When someone asks us to do the same, we give the typical “we are from the middle class and this is all we can do” response to save face. View the full article
  7. The second wave of the coronavirus in India has led to all sorts of troubles in the country, both for the common people and the sportspersons who became a part of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2021, with the hopes of having a good season, free of ill-health or injuries. Already, three Australian players have announced their departure from the league for this season and are experiencing an exodus with the lack of support from the Indian and the Australian governments, with regards to their travel plans. Australian cricketers won't be given priority to return from India, Prime Minister Scott Morrison saying, "they've travelled there privately". #auspol pic.twitter.com/LPhV462YID — 10 News First (@10NewsFirst) April 27, 2021 However, when it comes to international concerns being made towards India and the world’s biggest, most devastating COVID-19 outbreak ever, the Aussies have also shown a lot of empathy and willingness to support the cause in whatever way possible. The greatest example of this was seen earlier in the week when one of the best pacers in the world, Pat Cummins donated $50,000 to PM CARES COVID-Relief Funds with the expectation that the money will be used to buy oxygen cylinders. pic.twitter.com/2TPkMmdWDE — Pat Cummins (@patcummins30) April 26, 2021 "There has been quite a bit of discussion over here as to whether it is appropriate for the IPL to continue while COVID-19 infection rates remain high," Cummins wrote. "I'm advised that the Indian Government is of the view that playing the IPL while the population is in lockdown provides a few hours of joy and respite each day at an otherwise difficult time for the country. "As players, we are privileged to have a platform that allows us to reach millions of people that we can use for good. With that in mind, I have made a contribution to the 'PM Cares Fund,' specifically to purchase oxygen supplies for India's hospitals." A day later, all-time Australian legend Brett Lee announced that he had donated 1 bitcoin towards the same cause which would essentially mean approximately Rs 42 lakh to Crypto Relief. Tons of fans hopped on to Twitter to ask the former cricketer ‘thanking him’ for not donating the amount to the PM CARES program like Pat: Thanks for the awesome support, Brett Lee. And thanks for not giving the fund to PM Cares. You are both kind and smart. 🏼 — megsy (@megh_vk) April 27, 2021Brett Lee contributes now. Not to PM Cares Fund though https://t.co/NmeYSbmWKa — Vishesh Roy (@vroy38) April 27, 2021Brett Lee also donated, glad that he didn't donate to PM cares fund. https://t.co/mpL3HfkwEf — Ahmed | احمد (@Ahmed_Brilliant) April 27, 2021Brett Lee donated about 41 lakhs to purchase oxygen supply to hospitals in India thank god he didn’t donated to PM cares fund otherwise that money will be spent to buy MLA in any state thanks Lee ️️ pic.twitter.com/GFHJIXlqLz — Sheikh Humza (@SheikhHumza12) April 27, 2021 View the full article
  8. Amongst so many things that happened in 2020, one thing that helped us look at the brighter side were Sonu Sood's indelible good deeds. His benevolent acts proved that you don't need stardom, but a good heart to help the ones in dire need. From helping stranded migrants to providing hospital beds to people, Sood's efforts will certainly not be forgotten for years to come. © Viral Bhayani © Fashionphile Sonu can be seen carrying Louis Vuitton's Christopher stripes backpack. This style is unique and unconventional that comes with red and white stripes. Furthermore, it comes with roomy interiors and has a flap opening on the front. © Viral Bhayani Now that we have observed Sonu's recent outfit, we think his fashion game is spot on and he is giving us more and more reasons to take interest in it. 9. The second wave of coronavirus has struck India and the repercussions are already a lot worse than what it was back in 2020. On Sunday alone, over 3.5 lakh positive cases were reported from all over the country alongside 2800-plus deaths Amid such adversities, one of the biggest points of attention has been the ongoing Indian Premier League which moved its bases from Mumbai and Chennai to Ahmedabad and Delhi for the second leg of the season. " IPL will continue as per Schedule, no Plans to cut the Tournament as of now ". - BCCI Sources to Times Now.#WhistlePodu | @ChennaiIPL — CSK Fans Army™ (@CSKFansArmy) April 26, 2021 Even though the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has assured the players and the fans that the tournament will continue to move ahead as planned, many of the players who were supposed to stick around till the end have decided to exit due to personal reasons, family issues or the very justified fear of the pandemic outbreak in the country. Amid all the chaos, the news of Australian star-pacer Pat Cummins donating $50,000 towards PM Cares to do his bit in India’s fight against the deadly virus emerged. Cummins wishes that this money be used "specifically to purchase oxygen supplies for India's hospitals". pic.twitter.com/2TPkMmdWDE — Pat Cummins (@patcummins30) April 26, 2021 "There has been quite a bit of discussion over here as to whether it is appropriate for the IPL to continue while COVID-19 infection rates remain high," Cummins wrote. With that in mind, I have made a contribution to the 'PM Cares Fund,' specifically to purchase oxygen supplies for India's hospitals." Pat Cummins donates around 37 Lakhs to buy oxygen supplies for hospitals in India. — Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) April 26, 2021 "I encourage my fellow IPL players - and anyone around else the world who has been touched by India's passion and generosity - to contribute. I will kick it off with $50,000," he wrote. "At times like this it is easy to feel helpless. I've certainly felt that of late. But I hope by making this public appeal we can all channel our emotions into action that will bring light into people's lives.I know my donation isn't much in the grand scheme of things, but I hope it will make a difference to someone." Looking at the contributions made by the Australians, people are upset at the captain of Team India, Virat Kohli, for not making any such donations. Many have evidently forgotten the kind of massive contribution Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma had made back in March 2020 for the very same cause. Slow claps for @sachin_rt @imVkohli Am waiting for them to attack Cummins for “interference in India’s international affairs”. https://t.co/7tFVVMDmQF — Swati Chaturvedi (@bainjal) April 26, 2021Thankyou Patric Cummins,,, shoob Akhtar ne bhi help ke liye hath brahye,,,or apne @kohli @ipl all fam players Shame on you guy's,,, — Sanjeev @lovePBindia (@Sanjeev99324638) April 26, 2021Huge Respect for Pat Cummins that he came forward and donated $50,000 to PM Cares Fund which is around 14% of his annual salary. 10. Star kids have been in the limelight for a very long time. These kids have found their own social media presence and most of them enjoy a mammoth following on their Instagram handles, giving a tough competition to their famous parents. Even the paparazzi can't stop themselves from capturing these kids every time they make an appearance. From Ibrahim Ali Khan to Arhaan Khan, these young lads have made several appearances and have dropped some serious style goals for us. © Viral Bhayani Then we also have someone like Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan, who's a natural in front of the cameras. We are often intrigued by Aryan's fashion game. The 23-year-old lad picks up some zany silhouettes and sneakers and sometimes gives his own father a run for his money. © Viral Bhayani This time, as Gauri Khan and Aryan Khan were seen heading out to New York, we couldn't stop gazing at Aryan's airport look. From a super expensive jacket to classic sneakers, everything he wore comes with a hefty price tag. Take a look. © Farfetch Let's start with his denim jacket. Aryan is wearing Ksubi X Travis Scott Flaming Dollar Denim Jacket. The light wash denim jacket has a flaming dollar sign at the back. The jacket alone costs Rs 49,999 © Farfetch Coming to Aryan's pants, these are not regular, everyday style pants. These are Greg Lauren 50/50 terry cargo trousers. These pants come in green-grey colour and hence they are called 50/50 pants. These come with two front patch pockets and two side cargo pockets. The trousers are the most expensive piece of this look that money can possibly buy. They are worth almost Rs 1,09,000. Let that sink in! © Hermes Finally, the sneakers that he is wearing here. These are Hermes Quicker sneaker. The pair comes in calfskin with the iconic 'H' detail and quirky orange detailing at the back. As for the price, these sum up to Rs 82,449. © Viral Bhayani Overall, the outfit looks really cool due to the aesthetics. He kept the accessories to a minimum here, which seems to be working well for this look. All this proves that even Aryan has an expensive taste, just like his father and that's a job well done on the fashion front. View the full article
  11. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for all this time, you would know that Virat Kohli is a huge fan of watches and owns some of the most highly sought after timepieces. © Instagram/virat.kohli The man has an insanely cool collection that would make horologists all over the world green in the gills, out of envy. Rolexes, Patek Philippes - the man clearly has great taste. Virat, it seems, has a particular soft spot for high-end Rolex watches. The man has often been seen wearing some of the dopest watches that Rolex makes, and just chilling at his home, casually. © Instagram/virat.kohli Well, very recently, he did something similar, again. Virat recently put up a post on Instagram, where he was seen chilling with Anushka. What caught our eye was the watch that he was wearing. As it turns out, that although that may not be the most expensive Rolex ever, it certainly is one of the rarest and most exclusive pieces they make. © Instagram/virat.kohli Virat was seen here wearing the Rolex Date-Just in 41 mm, in Oystersteel and white gold. The Date-Just that Virat is wearing also has the classic fluted bezel. Virat’s Date-Just also has a blue face and white gold hour markers which give it a very distinctive appeal. © Instagram/virat.kohli Now, normally, this particular version of the Date-Just retails for just a little over Rs 7.11 Lakhs. However, it is nearly impossible to get your hands on retail piece. You have to be really well connected to get one of these watches in retail, there simply aren’t that many retail pieces. Rolex just allocates 2 pieces of the Steel & White Gold Date-Just to India, every year. Also, because the watch is in such high demand globally, buying it from a retailer in some other country, who doesn’t know you, is simply out of the question. © Rolex As a result, people often turn to the unofficial markets (resell markets, black markets etc.) for these kinds of watches, where they go for double or sometimes triple the retail price. A basic, simple Date-Just in oyster steel and white gold will fetch you about Rs 15 Lakhs in these kinds of markets. © Hodinkee All in all, Virat has a seriously dope watch there. He really must have had to pull some strings to get his hands on that watch. Kudos, Virat, seriously. A job well done indeed. View the full article

  13. Ranbir Kapoor has a great taste in sneakers. Time and time again, the man has been spotted wearing some of the dopest sneakers, ones, which sneakerheads all around the world can only dream of having. Clearly, the man is a hypebeast. © Viral Bhayani So infatuated is he with sneakers, that he has a guy whose sole job is to pick up that Ranbir would want to buy, as soon as some legacy pair of kicks, drops on the market. As a result, he has one of the swankiest collections of sneakers in Bollywood, if not the world. © Viral Bhayani Very recently, he gave us yet another example of just how fancy his sneaker collection is. He was recently seen at the Mumbai Airport with Alia Bhatt wearing one of the most expensive pairs of sneakers that money can possibly buy. Not just that, he actually paired his sneakers with one of the dopest watches that money can buy. © Viral Bhayani But first, let’s have a look at his outfit. Ranbir was seen wearing a basic white coloured T-shirt, with a v-neck collar, and a pair of light washed denim, that had some really cool distress marks. We also like how he has accessorised his outfit to the T. © Viral Bhayani There are the dope-looking blue shaded sunglasses that he is wearing. We also like the white Prada backpack that he’s carrying. It goes really well with the light coloured theme that he was going for with that T-shirt and that backpack. However, all of those things fall miserably short, when you see the watch that he’s wearing. © Viral Bhayani Ranbir is seen here wearing one of his favourite watches, the Rolex Sky-Dweller. This is an exquisite timepiece that retails for about Rs 9.76 Lakhs, that is if you’re lucky enough to find one available in retail. Normally, the market price for that watch is over Rs 15 Lakhs. © Rolex Then, there are the sneakers that Ranbir is wearing. They, without a doubt, are one of the most expensive sneakers that we have ever seen a celebrity wear. © Viral Bhayani They are the Jordan 1 Retro High Dior, a pair of sneakers that was a part of a capsule collection made by Nike & Dior. Also known as the Air Dior, the sneaker had a limited production run of 8,500, which when you compare it to other Air Jordan 1s, is not that high a number. © Hypebeast Given the legacy that the sneakers have, they are expensive as heck. And yet, the 8500 pairs sold out within minutes of their launch. © Nike Today though, they resell for anything between $7,200 & $9,000. 14. Ishaan Khatter has proved time and again that just like his big brother, Shahid Kapoor, even he is sartorially well-versed. The reason why we say that is because he is often seen cracking some brave style moves. From wearing long socks with sandals to making a statement in two different shoes, he has always made us notice his sense of style. © Viral Bhayani This time too, he was seen at Mumbai airport, wearing yet another flamboyant pair. Since the man is into wearing quirky sneakers, these ones stood out too. Then there's also his backpack which we couldn't help but notice. Take a look at all the details here. © Louis Vuitton Ishaan is seen carrying the Louis Vuitton's Steamer Backpack. The backpack comes in supple Monogram Eclipse coated canvas and has a smart new key shape to add to the vintage feel. Furthermore, the bag has rounded corners and has ultra-comfortable leather straps. © Viral Bhayani Speaking of his outfit, we like Ishaan's Under Armour navy blue hoodie. He teamed it with subtle, blue tone joggers. The colours are blending nicely here and the outfit seems apt for his lean frame. As for his accessories, he seems to be following his elder brother's path of turning the face shield into an accessory. That, with a white baseball cap, looks dope. In all, Ishaan has proved his mettle in the fashion department as well and we can't wait to see more such looks and sneakers, of course. Way to go. View the full article
  15. We are habitual to the fact that whenever Ranveer steps out, he would be seen in outlandish clothes and sneakers. But when he dresses like us, it still comes as a surprise many times. It's a rare sight to see Ranveer in simple clothes. There was a time he wore a polka dot shirt with pants and then again a simple athleisure outfit and those were the two instances, we remember him acing some easy to cop silhouettes. © Viral Bhayani © Gucci Before we talk in detail about his ankle boots, let's take a look at his outfit. We really like the subtle tone of the denim jacket and it's layered well over a basic white T-shirt. This denim jacket is by Gucci and since Ranveer is into lavish things, this one costs almost Rs 1.8 Lakh. The way he has coupled the upper with a pair of black flared pants looks absolutely nonchalant. © Viral Bhayani Ranveer also keeps his accessory game strong in most of his looks. This time he summed up the ensemble with black square-shaped sunglasses and a silver neck chain. On the work front, Ranveer has several movies in his kitty this year, including 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Sooryavanshi and Cirkus. View the full article
  16. An Apple iPhone 11 Pro that had a slight problem with its design was sold for over Rs 2 Lakh due to its rarity. Apple usually doesn’t let devices with misprints or design flaws get into the hands of customers due to its rigorous quality checking. However, there is always an exception to the rule and one iPhone 11 Pro with a misprinted logo got into the hands of a customer. The misprinted logo iPhone in question sold for $2,700. © Internet Archive_Twitter If you look at any iPhone, the logo is usually found right at the centre of the back of the phone, however in this case, the logo is slightly off the center to the right. You can see the prominent misplacement when looking at it at an angle. It is not known where this iPhone was sold, however it is indicative of a manufacturing error that got unnoticed by the quality control team. A misprint iPhone 11 Pro that sold for 2700$. This misprint is extremely rare- I’d say 1 in 100 million or possibly even rarer. pic.twitter.com/68F7giZAbm — Internal Archive (@ArchiveInternal) April 9, 2021 In the world of collectors, usually, items that fetch a high price have to be rare or have a defect that is not common to the item. For example, banknotes can sometimes have defects that increase their value significantly depending on their rarity. The same logic is applied here for the misplaced logo iPhone as it is a one in a million case. © Internet Archive_Twitter A similar case happened in 2015 where a customer found a defect in an iPad Pro where it had a very unique colour, a gold Touch ID and a silver back according to 9to5Mac. When the user contacted Apple about the problem, he was told it was an “extremely rare” manufacturing error and he would need to get a replacement. In the end, the customer decided to hold onto the iPad Pro as he was advised it could be worth a lot of money. Have you ever come across an iPhone that has a noticeable defect? It could be worth a lot of money just like this iPhone that had a misplaced logo. View the full article
  17. It goes without saying that fashion has no sense of uniformity and can endlessly differ according to people's tastes, preferences, and comfort. However, there still lie a few bizarre products in the market, at the sight of which most people across the world unite to have a similar stand. The latest example of such an outlandish entry is the $39,000 (INR 28,61,235) worth airplane-shaped bag, which has been designed by the luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2021 Airplane Bag by Virgil Abloh $39,000 pic.twitter.com/GEUmoylYqD — SAINT (@saint) April 2, 2021 The extravagant bag was presented at the beginning of the year during the Fall-Winter 2021 collection by American designer Virgil Abloh. While the collection consisted of a range of clothing that symbolized masculine archetypes, Louis Vuitton's airplane-shaped bag was reported to be one of the most prominent items amongst the featured carrier bags. According to reports, the bag is part of Abloh's new line that has been inspired by the tourist vs. purist archetypes. “A tourist is someone who’s eager to learn, who wants to see the Eiffel Tower when they come to Paris. The purist is the person who knows everything about everything.” said Abloh, while speaking to Vogue. While it sure seems like an interesting concept based on which the carrier bag may have been designed, the staggering price of the luxury items surely had viewers in fits. 18. In today's edition of ‘Zindagi Ho Toh Aisi’, a San Francisco job posting for a team of nannies is offering a salary of over 74 lakhs to each nanny per annum. The team consists of three caregivers for the family’s two children. Yes, you read that right! The posting was made on the job platform Indeed by a private staffing firm Louer and according to its website, the caregiver will be eligible to use family offices, residences, yachts, and planes. The job posting went viral on the internet after people pointed out its Mary Poppins-like job requirements and incredible pay. The posting has now been closed on the job finding portal. © Unsplash The family for whom the company was seeking nannies remains unknown. It was noted that the family is spending more than $300,000 on private childcare which was a huge amount even for people living in the Bay Area. The Bold Italic reported saying, “Don’t get us wrong, people who watch and teach children for a living deserve that much money (hello, teachers), but the fact that they are spending upwards of $300,000 on private childcare blew our minds.” According to the listing, the family was looking for a 'professional, experienced and educated full-time nanny' for their toddler and little baby. Sounds shocking, right? Yeah, we get it! © Unsplash The listing read, “Schedule will be split between three full-time nannies to ensure the family has seven days per week coverage.” Also, the nanny will be living in the residence and so should be comfortable working many days consecutively. Not only this, but the applicants were also required to sign a confidentiality agreement about their employment. View the full article
  19. Whether someone is interested in men’s fashion or not, the reality is, they simply can’t look away when Ranveer Singh steps out, dressed up quirkily in all his glory. © Instagram/ranveersingh That is what we love so much about his sense of style - he operates on extremes. Be it something very elegant and classy, or something very whimsical, and kitschy, the man knows how to carry anything and everything, with utmost confidence. © Instagram/ranveersingh Time and time again, we have seen him wear some of the quirkiest things that have ever been put out by a fashion label. We especially like the instances when he tends to go for watches that are just bonkers. © Viral Bhayani Recently, he did something similar. Ranveer was spotted at the Mumbai Airport wearing a rather dope-looking watch. But first, let’s have a look at his outfit. © Viral Bhayani In an outfit that can be best described as quintessentially quirky and way out of the box, Ranveer Singh was seen wearing a black coloured shirt with white floral prints. This shirt was paired with a pair of bell-bottomed style pin-striped pyjamas. © Viral Bhayani The pairing of the shirt and the pant was super stylish, without a doubt. We also loved how Ranveer added a whole new dimension to this outfit using his accessories. We really like the triangular sunglasses and the black coloured beret cap that he’s wearing. © Viral Bhayani Then, there are the silver sneakers that he’s wearing. They are zany and quirky in their own way. They look like a pair from Adidas’ Stan line-up. © Viral Bhayani And then, there’s the watch that Ranveer is wearing. It clearly is one of the quirkiest pieces that we have seen him wear. © Viral Bhayani The watch that he’s wearing is the Franck Muller Master Square, specifically the 6000 H SC DT R. The watch is remarkably different from most other Franck Muller watches that we have seen Ranveer wear before. © Franck Muller Apart from being a properly square watch, the hour markers have been marked in a very whimsical manner. The placement of the date function, is again, a bit odd. Most watchmakers usually keep the date functionality right beside the crown. © Franck Muller The watch normally retails for about $20,800, or roughly Rs 15.45 lakhs. It isn’t exactly ridiculously expensive, considering this is Ranveer Singh, but it definitely isn’t affordable for mere mortals like us. © Viral Bhayani All in all, that’s a pretty dope watch that Ranveer’s got there. The man clearly has expensive taste. Take a bow, Ranveer. View the full article
  20. We love how Arjun Kapoor's style has matured over the years. The guy who used to step out wearing a basic T-shirt and jeans, has a newfangled way now to experiment with his sartorial sense. Now, even people follow his neat street-style aesthetics and try to infuse the same in their style statement too. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani He still has an understated sense of style but what we are actually fond of is the way he elevates his outfits. From wearing a pair of cactus sneakers to stepping out carrying an expensive backpack, Arjun has time and again sported some stellar, extravagant pieces. This time, as he was seen chilling with his friends, he wore yet another inspiring ensemble with an awe-inducing pair of sneakers. Take a look: © Viral Bhayani Firstly, taking a peek at his outfit, this seems like the usual Arjun Kapoor. A T-shirt paired with black pants and layered with a hoodie on top. Despite that, he clearly knows how to set the trends right. We also like how he has accessorised this look with a minimal silver neck chain. In fact, even his sunnies are adding more appeal to his chilled out outfit. © Nike As far as his sneakers are concerned, we have often seen him wear some zany shoes. These are Nike Air Max 90 (Off-White) These sneakers are designed in a unique silhouette and are a true masterpiece when it comes to blending colourful and quirky aesthetics. For the upper and the back tab, leather and suede have been used. The oversized tongue with an icy blue sole, adds extra quirkiness to the pair. © Nike As for the price of these sneakers, when these were launched on the official website of Nike, they used to cost Rs 10,333. But now, they are selling approximately for Rs 1,16,231 as per Stockx, which is quite high and will take a while to sink in, it seems. © Viral Bhayani Well, say what may but we think, he still managed to hit it out of the park. Thanks to these sneakers, as they are the icing on his outfit. View the full article
  21. People often don’t realise this, but Kunal Kapoor is one of India’s most underrated style icons. The man is extremely fashionable, strikes the right balance between streetwear and formals/ethnic wear, experiments a lot, and manages to pull off whatever he wears. © Instagram/kunalkkapoor If you’re over 6 feet tall and often struggle to pick outfits and ensembles for yourself, then Kunal is the guy you should follow. Trust us, start taking fashion cues from him, and in no time, your sense of style will improve drastically. © Instagram/kunalkkapoor Why do we say this? Well, his most recent outfit should be sufficient to give that answer. Kunal was recently spotted in Mumbai, in one of the coolest hipster outfits we have seen a Bollywood actor wear. He was basically dressed in a tracksuit, a pair of sneakers and some accessories, but boy, did he create a special ensemble. © Viral Bhayani Kunal was seen wearing a dope-looking co-ord tracksuit from Iceberg, an Italian luxury fashion label. The brand is actually known for its knitwear and sportswear, and are a pioneer in the field. © Viral Bhayani The co-ord set that Kunal is wearing is a part of their SS19 collection. While the track pants are listed for 300 Euros, the jacket retails for 550 Euros. © Iceberg That’s 850 Euros or roughly Rs 72,000. For a jacket that has a very vintage design, and looks something straight out of the 70s, that’s expensive, but then again, luxury pieces are expensive. © Viral Bhayani The dirty, old looking sneakers that Kunal’s wearing actually goes rather well with the outfit. The muted colours of the sneakers allow the tracksuit to stand out. © Viral Bhayani We also love the accessories that Kunal has gone for. Those pair of vintage sunglasses goes very well with the outfit and adds another dimension to the retro appeal of the overall ensemble. © Viral Bhayani The highlight of the entire ensemble though has to be the watch that Kunal’s wearing. © Viral Bhayani The watch we see Kunal wearing is the Panerai Luminor Submersible. The watch has a brushed titanium and steel case, along with a black dial, with hour markers that glow in the dark. The watch is designed to be used by professional divers and is designed to be water-resistant for up to 300 metres or roughly 980 feet. © Panerai One would assume that the watch is expensive. It is a bit on the pricier side, but it isn’t exactly ludicrously expensive. The watch is available in India for about Rs 7 Lakhs. You can pick it up for cheaper if you find a dealer who’s willing to sell this piece at a discount. © Viral Bhayani All in all, that’s one dope outfit that Kunal’s got there. Kudos, man, seriously, a job well done indeed. View the full article
  22. In the past, Yuvraj Singh has given us some really cool and hip fashion goals. Pick up any interview where former Indian cricketers speak about the man, and one thing becomes clear - he is one of the most charismatic style icons the sport has ever seen. © Instagram/yuvisofficial Even today, the man knows how to slay it in style, in spite of the fact that he stays away from the limelight as much as he can. That, however, doesn’t mean that the man has forgotten how to induce amazement and awe with his outfits. © Instagram/yuvisofficial Recently, he was spotted in Mumbai, in a rather peculiar outfit, which showed that as far as negative opinions about his outfits are concerned, he doesn’t have two flips to give. © Viral Bhayani Yuvraj Singh stepped out wearing a very basic looking T-shirt and a pair of vibrant red shorts, and a pair of slippers. Pretty neat, and basic as an outfit, if you ask us. This is legit something that one would wear to step out of their houses, lazily, and without putting in much effort. © Viral Bhayani Look closely though, and you’ll see that the T-shirt that Yuvraj’s wearing is actually quite a dapper piece. He’s wearing an arrow print T-shirt from Off-White, Virgil Abloh’s streetwear brand. © Viral Bhayani As far as T-shirts go, this is something special. Being an Off-White piece and something that Abloh himself designed, the T-shirt retails for about 225 Pounds or Rs 22,000. © Off-White Then, there are the accessories that Yuvraj has got on. There’s obviously, the dope looking pair of rounded aviator sunglasses that Yuvraj’s wearing. That’s a pretty neat addition to the outfit, and it works wonders to elevate it. © Viral Bhayani However, everything that he’s wearing pales in comparison to the watch that he’s wearing. That’s the Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Ref No.: 8006-102-8M/92 that we see on him. © Ulysse Nardin The watch has a case made out of 18 karat gold and a brushed golden bracelet. The face of the watch is primarily black, with silver sub-dials, which gives it a very pleasing aesthetic. © Ulysse Nardin The watch used to retail for about $44,500, or roughly Rs 33 lakhs, back when it was new. You can still pick the watch up from retailers or from resellers, but be prepared to shell out a little extra. © Viral Bhayani All in all, that’s a dope way to step out of your home, while being as comfortable as one can possibly be. 24. Aly Goni has become a household name, not just because of his stint in Bigg Boss, but for his zany and quirky sense of style as well. © Instagram/alygoni The man clearly is a hypebeast and loves wearing the choicest of brands. Having said that, we have to agree that he does know what works for him and what doesn’t, stylistically speaking. © Instagram/alygoni In fact, he was one of the most stylish inmates we had in Bigg Boss in the last season. Just recently, he gave us yet another example of why people, especially his fans, follow his style moves so closely. © Viral Bhayani Aly was recently spotted in Mumbai, wearing an all-white tracksuit, with some sick looking pair of kicks. Along with that, he had a dope looking pair of sunglasses, a nice cap, and a gold watch that looked straight out of Bappi Lahiri’s closet. © Viral Bhayani Aly was seen wearing a co-ord tracksuit from Adidas, which had their logo in a rainbow motif on the arms and legs. The tracksuit actually works rather well for Aly, given his bulky, tall and broad physique. © Viral Bhayani Then, there are canvas sneakers that he's wearing. They are the Tennis 1977 sneakers from Gucci, and boy are they something special. © Viral Bhayani Thanks to the blue outer with the ivory GG monogram, and the green and red stripe, they have a very vintage and antiquated aesthetic, which works rather interestingly well with the rest of his outfit. © Gucci The sneakers, which are made in Italy, are not made of leather, but of denim canvas, and rubber, and cost a bomb. They are listed for $690 or roughly Rs 50,000. Add to that your regular import duties and customs, and you’re looking at a price tag of about Rs 85,000 if you were to import this to India. © Gucci However, the statement piece of the outfit would be the gold watch that he’s wearing. They legit look like something that Bappi Da would have worn back in the day. © Viral Bhayani The watch that Aly is seen here with is again from Gucci and is called the Yellow Gold PVD Grip Watch in 35 mm, and yes, it is as gaudy as you think it is. © Gucci The watch is Swiss-made but has a quartz movement. Instead of having a regular dial and a face, it has a plate covering the face and three small windows which show the hour, the minute and the date. © Gucci The watch isn’t actually made of gold. It uses stainless steel, which has then been chemically coated with gold. The watch isn’t something that would excite a horologist or a watch enthusiast that much, apart from its novelty and shape. That being said, it is one dope-looking fashion accessory. © Gucci They are listed for $1,800 or roughly Rs 1.35 lakhs. After you add your customs and import duties, you’re looking at a price tag of Rs 1.85 - Rs 1.9 Lakh. © Viral Bhayani All in all, Aly had a proper, hip-hop, gangster outfit, with accessories that go with it. 25. Emraan Hashmi may be a style renegade, who doesn’t experiment a lot with fashion and style, but boy, does he know his watches. © Instagram/therealemraan It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he is one of the biggest watch enthusiasts in Bollywood, and has an amazing collection. We seriously doubt if any other Bollywood star has a watch collection that is as varied and as zany as his. © Instagram/therealemraan A few days back, he gave us a glimpse of a rather special and unique watch that he owns, an Omega Speedmaster that actually went to the moon. © Viral Bhayani Recently, while promoting his upcoming film Mumbai Saga, he was seen wearing a watch that looks like it was inspired By RoboCop, the hit cartoon and film series from the 1990s. © Viral Bhayani Before we take a good and hard look at his watch, let’s have a look at his outfit. As always, Emraan Hashmi was dressed in a rather simplistic and laidback manner, with no element that would be considered loud or over the top. © Viral Bhayani He was wearing a very basic, printed T-shirt, with a pair of black denim, and a pair of lace-up, ankle-length boots. The monochromatic outfit is simple, and a properly normcore outfit. © Viral Bhayani We like the fact that apart from his watch, he has also used wrist bands and bracelets as accessories, which gives the ensemble some character. © Viral Bhayani Speaking of character, we finally move on to the watch that he’s wearing. The dark grey coloured watch is genuinely a timepiece that is one of its kind. © Viral Bhayani Emraan is seen here wearing the Big Bang Meca-10 Titanium from Hublot. The watch is a part of the most successful line of watches from the Nyon based Swiss watchmakers. © Hublot Hublot has been making some pretty interesting developments in materials used for watches, and has also been making some pretty interesting watches. © Hublot The Meca-10 Titanium has a case that is made out of the highest grade of titanium, with a micro blasted finish. The watch has a matte black skeletal face which, with all those accents, actually looks very rugged. The watch features an in-house, manual winding movement. © Hodinkee As for the strap, we get one made from rubber, with a titanium clasp. A watch as exquisite as this is surely going to be expensive. The Meca-10 Titanium retails in India for Rs 14.93 Lakhs, which, again, isn’t exactly cheap. But is it worth the price it demands? Absolutely. © Viral Bhayani All in all, that’s actually a pretty solid piece that Emraan’s got there. Kudos Emraan, well done indeed. View the full article
