  1. Akshay Kumar is no stranger to a hectic schedule. The media darling has been a part of an astounding number of films - 142 to be exact - making him one of the most successful Bollywood actors of all time. Having begun his journey as a server at a Bangkok food stall, Akshar Kumar has come a long way to become one of Bollywood’s most in-demand actors. No matter the role required of him, the charismatic Akshay Kumar seems able to pull it off with ease. The Khiladi (1992) franchise may have made Akshay a household name across India, but it was with 1992’s Saugandh that he actually debuted in a lead role. Despite having turned 54 recently, Akshay Kumar’s passion for films is as relentless as ever. He still approaches each project with the same enthusiasm he had when he began his career, which explains how he’s managed to amass the fan following that he enjoys. Akshay was most recently seen in the hit film Bell Bottom alongside Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi. And here's a list of the films he’s got in the pipeline: 1. Prithviraj © YRF Produced by Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj is a historical drama about the life of legendary Rajput warrior king, Prithviraj Chauhan. Akshay Kumar will be starring opposite Manushi Chillar in this one. November 2021 is its reported release date. 2. Ram Setu © Amazon Prime Video Akshay Kumar is rumored to play an archaeologist in Ram Setu, a story based on Hindu mythology. The film also has Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nushrratt Bharuccha as part of the cast. Ram Setu will be Amazon Prime Video’s first Bollywood production in India. 3. Bachchan Pandey © Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Directed and co-written by Farhad Samji, Bachchan Pandey is scheduled for a 26th January 2022 release. The movie has a stellar cast with the likes of Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez a part of it. 4. Atrangi Re © Panorama Studios Atrangi Re is a musical-romantic drama helmed by Aanand L. Rai. Its original release was scheduled for the 14th of February 2021. After the disruptions caused by the pandemic, a new release date is yet to be announced. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan. 5. Raksha Bandhan © Zee Studios The Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Raksha Bandhan will be directed by Aanand L. Rai. Akshay has dedicated the film to his sister Alka. 6. Cinderella © Akshay Kumar, Rakul Preet Singh Starring Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh, Cinderella is currently being shot in London. The director of the project is Ranjit Tewari. 7. Sooryavanshi © Reliance Entertainment In an interview with a leading daily, Akshay Kumar jokes,“Sooryavanshi ke baare me sirf do hi insaan jaante hai – ek Bhagwan aur dusra Rohit Shetty (Only two people are aware of Sooryavanshi’s release date — God and Rohit Shetty)” The film was originally scheduled to release in 2020, but the pandemic affected those plays. Sooryavanshi has Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif leading the cast. View the full article

  3. The countdown is finally over - after a whirlwind of protests, political statements and campaigning, the capital heads in to vote for one of its most important elections of the modern era - deciding whether to keep Arvind Kejriwalâs Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in power, or shuffle Delhiâs political decks for either a BJP or Congress majority. If youâre eligible and sitting this one out though, one family has proven that thereâs literally no excuse to not go and exercise your right to vote. © ANI In an unusual sight, a groom accompanied by his family members took a detour from his wedding for an all important duty - casting his vote. Found at a polling booth in East Delhiâs Shakarpur, they lined up at the busy queues near MCD primary school - men and women of the family dressed in colourful ethnic wear. © ANI Unfortunately for them, however, Twitter was ready with a series of posts - and they were trolled rather relentlessly. One user even predicted that such a photo would arise, Waiting for that overacting couple's photo which will come in wedding attire at polling station ð#DelhiElections2020 #DelhiAssemblyPolls â Toxic Master (@IronDome_) February 8, 2020 While others called them out for âattention-seekingâ. Attention seekers â Chinmayaâ¡ (@ChinmayaR_) February 8, 2020 Photo chapp gayi. Ab office jaoð â Sanjay Gera (@sanjaygera) February 8, 2020Todayâs elections seem to be one of the most important in recent memory, though public opinion seems to be concerned about voter turnout. The figures at 1 PM sat at roughly 19%, with one user by the name of Robin Saini blaming this on a rather amusing cause - the currently underway New Zealand vs India ODI match. The previous 2015 elections saw CM Kejriwalâs AAP lead by a resounding 67-3 victory over the BJP - a feat that the AAP hopes it will trump over their recent work in the capital. Meanwhile, the BJP continues to campaign on the strength of Prime Minister Narendra Modiâs strongman politics, as the Congress party remains an unsure and severely underwhelming prospect in the wake of recent events. After weeks of tense political and social drama, the outcome of today is set to shake the playing fields of Indian politics as we enter the new decade. View the full article
  4. Even though the Marvel cinematic universe is fast approaching its 10th anniversary, it doesn't mean it's slowing down at all, it's quite the opposite, especially with the recent success of 'Thor: Ragnarok' hammering that point home. 2018 will be a big year for Marvel with the release of 'Black Panther', the first Marvel movie with a black actor in the lead, and obviously the much anticipated 'Avengers: Infinity War'. The release of the third instalment of the Avengers franchise in May will also mark the 10th anniversary of the release of 'Iron Man', which kicked off Marvel Studios' grand cinematic universe experiment. And now, basically a decade later, MCU's success is unmatched by any other franchise in Hollywood. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, ( https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/11/marvel-cover-story?mbid=social_twitter ) Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige teased the fans by saying that the as-yet-untitled fourth Avengers movie, scheduled for 2019, will “bring things you've never seen in superhero films: a finale.” Even with the almost overwhelming star-studded Avengers franchise coming to an end, with the contracts of key actors like Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Scarlett Johansson about run out after the last Avengers movie, there's not much to worry about. Marvel owns the rights to 7,000 characters, and they will for sure bring a lot of them to the big screen very soon. © Marvel The cover story with Vanity Fair featuring the conversation with Feige took an in-depth look at the history of the MCU, talking about everything from the wildly successful Thor: Ragnarok this year to the very first Iron Man film back in 2008. Till now, Marvel has already released or plotted 22 MCU movies, from 'Iron Man' through to the end of the studio's 'Phase Three' arc, which wraps with a fourth and supposedly final Avengers film in 2019, closing out the Infinity War story. According to Feige, they've “got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that's come before — intentionally.” He added, “There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after.” But, all we know is that everything will be different, and that's building up more excitement for the fans, but that's pretty much it for now. Marvel is not ready to reveal its post-Avengers plan as yet. As of now, we only know of two confirmed upcoming sequels in Feige's alluded-to “second period” of 20 new films post-Avengers films: a 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' sequel in 2019, and a third 'Guardians of the Galaxy' film to be released in 2020. Marvel Studios has done a marvellous (pun intended) job of elevating a bunch of heroes and villains to household names and it will be interesting to see all the new characters that are about to come our way, especially when there are 7,000 characters to choose from, making the possibilities basically infinite.
