  3. The trailer for Jawani Jaaneman just dropped and boy, are we already looking forward to the movie! Starring Saif Ali Khan, newcomer Alaya F and Tabu in lead roles, the trailer looks like old wine packaged in a new bottle but still something that you'd want to try for sure. Here are our 3 reasons why we feel this movie will be a wholesome entertainer: 1. Appropriate Star Cast: Saif Ali Khan looks like a glass of fresh lemonade on a hot summer day. Newcomer Alaya F seems promising and Tabu is simply amazing in her role as well. The movie has characters which are flawed and real, nothing looks plastic which is actually refreshing. View this post on Instagram #JawaaniJaanemantrailer is FANTASTIC. #Saif is back in form with this one, doing which he does the best.. Tabu is phenomenal as always. Film should do well at the BO if marketed well.. #JawaaniJaaneman A post shared by Sumit Kadel (@sumitkadelofficial) on Jan 9, 2020 at 12:37am PST 2. Fresh Perspective On A Clichéd Story: The trailer may give you major déjà vu when you watch it. However, this looks like one of those movies which you will probably watch anyway, given the fresh perspective. 3. Saif's Moves To Ole Ole: C'mon, if you are a Bollywood fan and this is not enough reason for you to watch the movie, then what is? Watching the good-looking Nawab flaunt his dad bod and giving our millennial generation a fresh version of his iconic Ole Ole is everything! The movie releases on 31st January so, make sure you catch it. View the full article

  5. Who doesn't love Prateek Kuhad? Well, turns out, even former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama is a fan of this singer. 2019 will truly be a memorable year for the singer as Obama listed Kuhad's Cold/Mess as one of his favourite songs of 2019. Kuhad couldn't contain his excitement when he learned that his song made it to the former US President's favourite music list of 2019. Keeping his yearly ritual intact, Obama shared a list of his favourite songs and artists whose songs he liked in the year 2019. Taking to his Twitter account, he shared the list and wrote, "From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you're looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there's a trick or two in here that does the trick." 6. It's easy to assume that after the crazy Monsoon, Winter is going to go easy on your hair. But that's never the case really. Winter frizz is the real deal that is hard to foresee, and hair in the Winter can get just as frizzy as they do in the Summer if not more. © Getty Images So here's what you can do about this: 1. Use The Right Hair Products © Getty Images One should know their hair type and the corresponding shampoo that will work with it and one should also steer clear of sulfate and parabens in the formula when choosing a shampoo and conditioner. Keep an eye out for ingredients like coconut oil, argan oil, avocado, shea butter, and jojoba oil as these are super conditioning. 2. Scrub Less In Shower © Getty Images Washing your hair less will help your natural oils penetrate the hair and keep it hydrated. So keep washing hair to a minimum in a week or avoid it as much as possible. Natural oils are good at tackling the frizz. 3. Avoid Alcohol And Sulfates Products that contain alcohol or sulfates have drying formulas that'll make your hair more prone to frizz. Sulfates strip your scalp from natural oils. Instead, switch to glycerin or silicone-based products that are hydrating. 4. Use A Leave-In Conditioner/ Anti-Frizz Serum © Getty Images Adding a leave-in conditioner or an anti-frizz serum (whatever suits you more) to your shower routine will help lock in the moisture. Apply it to your wet hair after a shower while your hair is still wet. 5. Ditch The Post-Shower Towel Ritual © Getty Images Once you're done taking a bath, ditch the post-shower towel ritual of wrapping a fuzzy towel around your wet head. The fuzzy side will end up making your hair frizzy and reverse the goodness of the hydrating products that you previously used in the shower. View the full article
  7. Photo: FileEngland captain Joe Root and wicketkeeper Jos Buttler joined England´s lengthening sick list on the third day of the first Test against South Africa at SuperSport Park on Saturday. Buttler did not take the field at the start of play because he was feeling "unwell". Jonny Bairstow kept wicket and was due to keep the gloves at least until lunch. An England spokesman said both Root and Buttler had remained at the ground but were in quarantine. Root was off the field for about 40 minutes on either side of the morning drinks break. Illness has swept through the touring party, with Jack Leach, Chris Woakes and Mark Wood remaining in quarantine at the team hotel on Saturday together with two members of the support staff. Ollie Pope had recovered enough to travel to the ground and was expected to train during the day. South Africa meanwhile were left without opening batsman Aiden Markram, whose series has come to an end after suffering a fractured finger while fielding on Friday.
  8. Over the years, the world of cricket has witnessed numerous batting greats leaving their mark in the sport's rich history, but only a handful come close to the ambition and passion of Virat Kohli. His passion for cricket has made him one of the best batsmen in the world across formats, and has further allowed him to shatter batting records at will. It's also passion that defines Kohli's emotional, effervescent and, at times, explosive character. For him, the world is for the taking and his hunger to succeed has propelled him to the pinnacle of the sport. Taking his technical assiduousness on par with the great Sachin Tendulkar and matching the fitness levels of the top athletes in the world, Kohli has truly established himself as one of the best in business. © Reuters One of the most consistent accumulators across formats of his time, the Indian captain takes a special liking towards challenges which probably explains his ever-increasing tally of runs. His quality stroke-making has not only aided India in dire situations, but has also earned him plaudits from pundits and fans alike over the years. And, owing to his artistry with the willow, the Indian captain has found himself in Wisden's coveted list of 'Top 5 Cricketers of the Decade'. The Wisden Cricketers' Almanac honoured Kohli alongside South African duo of Dale Steyn and AB de Villiers, Australia's Steve Smith and women's cricketer Ellyse Perry in the prestigious list. © Reuters "He is genius has been to rise, time and again, to the challenge. Between the end of the England tour in 2014 and the second Test against Bangladesh at Kolkata in November, Kohli averaged 63, with 21 hundreds and 13 fifties. It left him with a unique set of statistics - the only batsman to average at least 50 in all three international formats," Wisden wrote to honour Kohli. "Even Steve Smith was moved to remark recently that there is no one quite like him. In many ways, there isn't. Since the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar and the gradual waning of MS Dhoni, no cricketer in the world has operated under such daily pressure as Kohli," it added. A deserving candidate for Wisden's list, Kohli has scored 5,775 more international runs than anyone else in the last decade. In the last 10 years, the Delhi lad has scored 7,202 runs in Tests including 27 hundreds, alongside 11,125 runs in ODIs and 2,633 runs in T20Is. In 2019, Kohli scored 2,370 runs across formats at an average of 64.05. It is also the fourth consecutive time that Kohli aggregated 2000-plus runs in a single calendar year. © Reuters For someone who averages more than 50 in all formats, Kohli has already amassed 70 international hundreds and is only behind Ricky Ponting (71) and Sachin Tendulkar (100). He is currently third in the list of leading run-getters of all time with 21,444 runs to his name, only behind Ponting (27,483) and Tendulkar (34,357). Apart from the recent honour, Kohli was also named as the captain of Wisden's Test team of the decade earlier this year. The swashbuckling Indian batsman also found a spot in the Wisden ODI team of the decade alongside his teammates MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. View the full article

  11. Last night, Twitter went on a rampage, a year-end rampage. After literally posting every Top 10 list imaginable, they gave out so much data it's kind of hard to keep up with it. So, instead of just posting everything they shared, I'm focusing on a particular top 10 list because it's very interesting and Marvel-ous. Here are Twitter's top 10 actors for the year 2019: Top actors of 2019 ð¬#ThisHappened pic.twitter.com/NeXkCLFxa1 — Twitter Data (@TwitterData) December 9, 2019 Notice something weird? It's mostly Avengers! Actually, it's made up of 50 per cent of Avengers, so, looks like Marvel really did rule the year. It's not really surprising since the biggest Marvel movie, and honestly, the most highly-anticipated movie - Avengers: Endgame - came out this year, MCU and its actors were bound to be the most talked-about thing of 2019. Taking the first spot, we have our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man. His 'dusting' was the saddest one in Infinity War, and even though he didn't have that much screen time in Endgame, he still played one of the most important parts. I mean, Tony Stark literally invented time travel because he was sad about loosing his 'kid'. And then, with Spider-Man: Far From Home being such a huge success, and, of course, we can't forget about the entire Sony-Marvel custody battle for Tom Holland's Spidey, it's not at all surprising that he took the top spot. Next up, right behind Tom is Captain America himself. I don't even have to mention how important Chris Evans and Captain America were in Endgame. From him fighting himself to him finally wielding Mjolnir, it was the best movie for any Cap fanboy. After that, he made the internet go crazy over a sweater, yes a sweater, that he wore in Knives Out while playing a character that's the opposite of Steve Rogers in every way possible. Then, on the fourth spot we have none other than Robert Downey Jr. The man who started it all, who paved the way for MCU to become what it is today, finally left. His death was the most emotional of all, and well, RDJ actually leaving the character of Tony Stark was one of the saddest moments of the year. After that, on the seventh-place is the second-best Chris in Hollywood - Chris Hemsworth. Two words - Fat Thor. While a lot of people didn't like the fact that they made Thor fat in Endgame, I still personally believe that they showed a realistic portrayal of depression with his character. Yes, it was bit much when they used him for comic relief, but they did show him being back to his powerful self, even with a beer belly. After that, Chris even starred in Men In Black: International with his Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson. The two, obviously, had great chemistry as their Marvel characters, and even though MIB wasn't that great, their pairing does save the movie. Lastly, rounding up the list is Mark Ruffalo. He did go through the most change after Infinity War and showed up in Endgame as half-Hulk and half-Banner. He had some of the most hilarious moments in the movie and Professor Hulk was, obviously, loved by all. Moreover, he is a very vocal activist on Twitter and has been using his huge platform to talk about climate change and call out Trump any chance he gets. No wonder he's made it onto the top 10 Twitter list. View the full article

  18. It is the beginning of a new era for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), an era of presidency after 33 months of being led and administered by the Supreme Court-backed Committee of Administrators (CoA). The former captain of the Indian cricket team and a former member of the CoA, Sourav Ganguly is set to assume his position as the President of the Indian cricket board, today. His appointment as the most important official in all of Indian cricket came as a surprise to the entire nation especially when he was unanimously elected as the President during an “informal meeting”, a day ahead of the deadline. Nonetheless, Ganguly at the helm of things for Indian cricket is good for both domestic and international cricket as he brings two very important aspects to the table; youth (he is 47 years old) and the independent attitude to make bold decisions. Both of these were lacking in the organisation for a really long period of time. With the transfer of power finally taking place today, here is a list of things Ganguly must do as the BCCI President: 1. Day-Night Test Matches © Twitter Some of the orthodox fans of the game have shown discontent towards the idea of having day-night Test matches for a number of reasons; however, the fact of the matter is that the pink-ball format is a solution to the loss of interest the Test cricket is experiencing lately. Considered to be more of a broadcasting game, the day-night matches will give the audience the opportunity to sit back and watch the game in peace at the end of a busy day and will be a lot more aesthetically pleasing just like Twenty20 cricket. Personally, Ganguly is in favour of this change and has called it “inevitable”. 2. Restructure The 'Cooling-Off' Period © Reuters The idea of the 'cooling-off' period in the BCCI is healthy and in favour of the organisation. Making a BCCI official take some time off from their position at the Board would prevent the possibility of the organisation becoming a particular person's family business. However, the execution of this idea needs to be considered. According to the amendments made by the Supreme Court in 2018, any person who holds an office with the Indian cricket board or its state-level subsidiaries or both for two consecutive terms (for six consecutive years) must go on a 'cooling-off' period of three years before contesting for another spot. Six years of being in office practically goes against the very idea of letting one person hold an office for too long. It enables them to place a system so rigid that changing it with the evolving needs of time becomes almost impossible. Conversely, a three-year time-off from the organisation can lead to loss of momentum for an official who is trying to bring about a change in the organisation for good. Ganguly is also going to fall prey to this same issue because of which the former skipper is allowed to be the BCCI President just until July 2020. 3. Revamping 'Conflict Of Interest' © Twitter The so called “conflict of interest” in its current model is one of the most confusing and hypocritical “provisions” introduced under the administration of the CoA that has caused major loss of services to the players and veterans in the past. The Vinod Rai-led committee itself appointed a particular individual as the ethics officer and ombudsman, violating the essence of 'conflict of interest'. Also, one of the members continued to partake in CoA activities despite being over 70 years of age. Ideally speaking, an incident or an event should not be considered to be a conflict unless it causes some sort of danger or harm to another party. As suggested by The Hindu's Suresh Menon, the addition of the phrase “material difference” should be included in the rules to further clarify what falls under the ambit of 'conflict of interest'. 4. Making First Class Cricket More Valuable © Twitter Evidently, the first and the biggest concern that Ganguly said he would address was to look after first class cricket in the country. While Ranji Trophy players earn around Rs. 35,000 per day of the match and get provisions like free flight tickets and five-star hotel stays, it still feels like more of an audition for the Indian Premier League and that's about it. Additionally, the life of a domestic cricketer in India isn't as rosy as it sounds. While the top-tier players earn a fortune with the top-salary annual contract of Rs. 7 crore from the BCCI and IPL contracts worth up to Rs. 17 crore, it is the rest of the players, about 1,000 of them who work on a daily-wage basis with no financial security. “My first priority will be to look after first class cricketers. I had requested to the CoA and they have not listened. Ranji Trophy cricket will be the focus. To take care of cricketers' financial interest," the cricketer had said.

  21. E3 gaming expo got over this week and many new upcoming games were announced for consoles and PC. Some of the biggest conferences included games that piqued everyone's interest and we got to see some gameplay or teaser from publishers and studios. Some of these games won't be out until next year while some are about to launch in a few months. We are not going to include annual titles like FIFA and Madden because these games tend to remain the same with minor updates. Here are the best coolest games that were announced or showed off at E3 this year: 1. Cyberpunk 2077 (PS4,Xbox One, PC) - April 2020 Last year, we got to check out some exclusive gameplay behind closed doors and this year, we got to see some more footage of the upcoming gaming by CD Project Red. What was cool about this revelation was that we got to see a character being played by Keanu Reeves. The game is set in a dystopian future where humans can upgrade their bodies with augmentations. Being a CD Projekt Red game, we can expect some killer plots and RPG mechanics that we've been familiar with from the Witcher series. The expectation for this game is very high and we hope the developers can deliver. 2. Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order' (PS4, Xbox One, PC) - November 2019 EA has not come out with a single-player story-driven game every since the company switched its strategy to live service titles. However, this we got to see Respawn Entertainment's “Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order” gameplay that blew us away from the start. You will play as one of the last remaining Jedis after the Empire has taken over the galaxy. The gameplay footage showed us what we can do in the game i.e. weird lightsabers, use force powers to defeat enemies and interact with the environment, and go on an adventure with your own cute little droid. 3. 'Watch Dogs: Legion' (PS4, Xbox One, PC, Google Stadia) - March 2020 Watch Dogs is coming back in the form of 'Watch Dogs: Legion' that will be set in post-Brexit London. The city is under a paramilitary organisation called 'Albion' after the fall of the Government and it is up to you to take on the authority. As a part of a rebellious group called DedSec, you will be playing as multiple characters to take on Albion with gadgets, hacking and good old shooting. The coolest part about this game is that you can play as any character you want in the city. You can play as a master assassin, a gifted hacker or even as an old lady. Ubisoft says that you will be able to recruit anyone and the cutscenes in the game will adjust according to who you are playing as. We highly recommend you check out the gameplay footage above to know more about this game. 4. 'Ghostwire: Tokyo' The game was showcased at Bethesda's E3 conference and was met with good reception at the expo and on Twitter. The game is basically a scary, action-adventure game where citizens of Tokyo are disappearing for some odd reason. Your job is to find out why and that's all we got to see from this teaser trailer. From the makers of “The Evil Within,” you really should check out what they have in store for us. 5. Doom Eternal (PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia - November 2020 A brand new Doom game is coming for fans next year where the forces of Hell have begun to invade Earth, and the Doom Slayer arrives to repel the demons. It is the fifth main title in the Doom series and put heavy emphasis on "push-forward" combat. Creative director Hugo Martin has stated there will be twice as many demon types in this game and we can't wait to get our hands on it. Check out the gameplay footage above if you can handle it.
  22. Forbes just dropped their annual and much-awaited list of the world's 100 most highly paid sportsmen in the year 2019 and while some of the rankings were obvious, others were straight-out shocking and gave a sense of reality about the fan-following of various sports both inside and outside of India. To begin with the list-toppers, Lionel Messi became the highest paid athlete in the world at a whopping $127 million, which is $18 million more than the second person on the list, Cristiano Ronaldo, followed by Brazil sensation, Neymar Jr. at $105 million. This makes it for the very first time that footballers have dominated the top three spots of such a list. Global soccer icon Lionel Messi is only the 2nd soccer player to rank No. 1 on Forbes' list of World's Highest-Paid Athletes, after longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo pic.twitter.com/4cLyTSZHtT — Forbes (@Forbes) June 11, 2019 Other world-known sports celebrities to make it in the top 10 include names like Roger Federer (Rank 5; Pay $93.4 million), Lebron James (Rank 8; Pay $89 Million) and Stephen Curry (Rank 9; Pay $79.8 million). Moving past the traditional endorsement model in many cases, LeBron James is the 8th highest-paid athlete in the world, and the highest-paid NBA player pic.twitter.com/A2CW3RvGsy — Forbes (@Forbes) June 11, 2019 Some of the shocking rankings include Serena Williams who is not only considered the unofficial face of women's tennis but has a massive payout of $25 million, thanks to her sponsors like Nike, Gatorade and Wilson. Having said that, Williams has had a bad year on the court, resulting in her 2019 'salary' plummeting to $4.2 million and bringing her down to rank #63. Tied for the No. 63 spot with Miguel Cabrera, Serena Williams is the only female on this year's list of the world's 100 highest-paid athletes pic.twitter.com/fkXrrAxMFX — Forbes (@Forbes) June 11, 2019 But to us Indians, the biggest disbelief probably came considering the ranking of the captain of the Indian cricket team and currently the best ODI batsman in the world, Virat Kohli who just made it to the Top 100, positioned dead last in the list at the 100th spot with the annual salary of $4 million and sponsorship worth $21 million, mounting his 2019 worth $25 million. Virat Kohli is the only cricketer among the forbes 2019 world's highest paid athletes.#CWC19 pic.twitter.com/cExJKRrhvw — Akki (@akkiakki973798) June 11, 2019 Now, make no mistake, a year worth $25 million is a GOOD year and being named is the list of the world's most highly paid athletes has to be an honour in itself but the fact that Kohli is last on the list and is the only cricketer in the list, says a thousand words about the popularity of the game of cricket outside of India. While our nation has put the game of bat and ball on a pedestal and given birth to the money-minting business that the Indian Premier League has turned out to be, cricket is still nowhere as popular as sports like football or basketball worldwide and therefore, do not bring in many international sponsorships and bigger deals. Having said that while the Indian cricket team is doing well on their ICC World Cup 2019 journey, having defeated both their opponents, we would like to congratulate Virat Kohli on this feat. 24. Indians love their booze and appreciate the kind of 'high' the golden-mahogany liquids are capable of inducing. Hardcore Indian guzzlers do not believe in discriminating between theke ka daaru desi (remember this track from 'Cocktail'?) and classy IMFL liquor served at fancy bars and restaurants. From the throat-burning shots of liquor to the lighter ones that glide easily and warm us up, most Indians will say yes to any, and every boozy option out there. © Getty Images Yet, even though Indians love to brag about their drinking skills, according to The Global Drug Survey held recently, it seems that India still has to work hard to be amongst the top 5 drunkest countries in the world. As per the results of the recent survey released by London, which is also known as the League of Shame, it showed that the United Kingdom is the drunkest country in the world, while India stands in the sixth position. © Rajkumar Hirani Films According to the survey, the British get drunk 51.1 times a year, which is at least once a week, whereas Indians get drunk 41 times a year, which is almost once a week. At the second position is United States (50.3), followed by Canada (47.9) and Australia (47.4). Many South American countries were seen to be drinking least predominantly. © Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Talking about the UK's lead in the survey, Adam Winstock, the founder of the survey and a consultant addiction psychiatrist told Hindustan Times that, “We get told too much is bad, and it is, but current guidelines fail to accept the pleasure of intoxication and give a little guide on the difference between being a little drunk and a lot drunk, and doing it three to four times a year versus weekly.” We wonder how Indians will take their ranking in something they love to indulge in, and believe they are actually good at.
  25. India celebrates the most desirable men, every year, through a generic public poll and each year the results are fantastic and very well deserving. While we do need desirable men to become an icon for the youth and inspiration for everyone else, there are only a few who can make it to the top 50. These men work hard on themselves, are humble beyond doubt and always do inspirational things to mould the generation's basic ideology. Be it a cricketer, an actor, a singer or a model, Indian men who've had self-made careers and believe in basic humility, while never forgetting who they truly are, deserve this rank, rightfully. © Instagram So, when The Times decided to hold a poll so that the top 50 desirable men could stand out, we were more than happy with the results. The results were unveiled today, and Vicky Kaushal grabs the top spot this year. Yes, he's certainly the king of desirability and the most favoured male celebrity in the country right now to take the numero-uno spot. While we all know he's an ace actor, people also acknowledge his versatility to play varied roles. Whether he's in a supporting role in films like 'Raazi' or 'Sanju' or he's experimenting with over-the-top content with web series like 'Love Per Square Foot' and 'Lust Stories', he's played every character with ease and reasonability and made a suitable place for himself. © Instagram "I was shocked to know that I was on the list, and then, to be at the top… that was a huge surprise. I am still coming to terms with it. I can't figure out what people saw in me and why they chose me for the top spot. But I thank everyone who voted for me and the internal jury, with all my heart.
