  2. Have you ever noticed how your perfumes never seem to last for more two-three hours and then it fades away quickly? While sometimes, it might be a soft scent, most of the time, it's how and where we apply the perfume. So, here's a guide to help you understand where you should be applying the perfume and make it last for hours so you smell really, really good 24/7. 1. Spray It On Your ClothesDonât just stick to spritzing scent over your body, instead spritz it all over the clothes too. Clothing fibres are able to hold in scents for a very long time, sometimes it sticks even after washing the fabric. 2. Don't Walk Into The ScentSome people spray perfume into the air and then walk through it because it is believed that this way the scent lasts longer. That's a myth. Youâll be wasting the product and the scent will evaporate quickly. A direct spritz on to the bare skin is enough for it to last. 3. Don't Forget The Ears © Getty Images While this might sound funny, the truth is that it actually works. Oilier skin holds the scent better, and the top of your ears is a good place to place the scent as they tend to stay a little oilier than your earlobes. 4. Donât Store Your Fragrances In Your BathroomWhile instinctively the bathroom is a good place to store the scent, unfortunately, heat, light, and humidity break down the perfume and lessen the quality and intensity of the fragrance. Instead, store your perfume bottles in a cool, dry place, like in your closet and away from windows. 5. Target Pulse Points When Spraying Perfume © Getty Images To make the fragrance last longer, you need to spritz on your pulse points. Pulse points are warm areas that help diffuse the fragrance across. Your pulse points on your body include: Your wristsInside your elbowsOn your neckBelow your midriffBehind your knees6. Rub Vaseline Or Unscented Lotion On FirstRub Vaseline or an unscented lotion on your pulse points before spraying your perfume to make the scent last longer. The formula in these will hold the fragrance to your skin longer than if you were to spray it onto dry skin. 7. Familiarise Yourself With Common Fragrance Terms © Getty Images Hereâs a breakdown of fragrance terms, so you know what youâre buying and what scent it'll give you over a period of time: Top Notes: The first scent you smell right after spraying the perfume, which fades quickly.Middle/Heart Notes: The scent that develops a while after the top note fades.Base Note: This is the heaviest scent that lingers the longest of the lot. 3. We can call Varun Dhawan the most bankable B-town celebrity. A quick look at his style and you would see that he has the most-sought, fuss-free fashion game. Be it for the promotions or at the airport, Varun's wardrobe is what every guy would love to have too. We have to give to his stylists, Priyanka & Kazim AKA The Vainglorious who create every look with ease and total finesse. © Viral Bhayani The latest instance made us fall in love with his style a bit more. Varun slayed the casual outfit like never before as he was seen elevating his debonair with ripped shorts coupled with long black boots. He pulled it off quite effortlessly but wearing shorts with boots is unbelievably the best thing we have seen today. In addition to that, a pair of long, patent leather boots can instantly change its appearance. It lends a unique aesthetic to any ensemble. You can easily dress up for any causal event since these boots are super versatile and fashionable. At first, boots and shorts combination might seem odd to you, but when you couple it with the right sort of colours, an ultra-stylish repertoire is just a step away! © Viral Bhayani One of the easiest ways to wear a pair of shorts would be with a T-shirt. Varun rather took an unconventional route and teamed the ripped shorts with a quirky graphic tee and layered it with a leather jacket. This is truly a masterstroke and adds more to the laid-back feel of this look. © Viral Bhayani At the moment, Varun is promoting his upcoming movie Street Dancer 3D starring Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Prabhu Deva. It's all set to release on 24th January 2020. The overall ensemble has a sleek edge to it and is definitely a fail-safe way to team shorts and boots together. This is really well put, Varun. Kudos to you! View the full article
  4. We sometimes find many relationship habits unhealthy and try to quit it, though some habits just make our lives and relationships easier. Being in a toxic relationship is not a good idea but falsely accusing your relationship as being toxic is also a dumb thing to do. We are not asking you to stay in a relationship if you're unhappy but at times we need to find the thin line between toxic and 'tolerable'. So, here is a list of five habits in a relationship that we think are toxic but will actually help your relationship go a long way- 1. Letting Go Of Conflicts At Times © Dharma Productions People focus on resolving every argument when in a relationship but at times it's healthier to let go of some fights. Some conflicts are un-resolvable and fighting upon them are only going to make things worse. So, just keep in mind that some battles are not worth fighting for and save your relationship by avoiding conflicts. 2. Feeling Attracted To Other People © Dharma Productions We want to be attracted to our partner all the time but that's biologically not possible. You need to accept that you might feel attracted to other people and that's okay. It doesn't mean that you're falling out of love with your partner but just admire someone else apart from them for their qualities. Acting upon our attraction or liking is in our hand and our actions are responsible for making or breaking a relationship, as attractions are mostly temporary and love is real. 3. Spending Time Apart © Dharma Productions It's always better to do what you want to do rather than focusing on your partner all the time. Valuing your relationship is important but moving ahead in your life and fulfilling your dreams is equally important. It's important to give space in a relationship as it only makes the bond stronger. Spending time apart also makes you regain the lost spark in a relationship. 4. Accepting Each Other's Flaws © Dharma Productions No one is perfect and as soon as we accept each other's flaws the better the relationship is going to be. You need to like and accept each other for who they are then decide for yourself if you really want to be with them. Somewhere or the other we have to settle as no human being is perfect. 5. Unintentionally Hurting Each Other © Dharma Productions When in a relationship, we do things at times that the other person might not like or get hurt due to it. Sometimes they get hurt and sometimes we get hurt. The bottomline is to not pretend that you're happy and express if you're hurt as it is okay to be hurt. Your honest opinion is only going to make things easier for both of you. View the full article
  5. Have you ever noticed that during winter a perfume is less noticeable? It's an unknown fact that perfumes don't linger on for long in winter and that's due to the drop in temperatures. Your body's natural moisture level causes the skin to get drier. When it's dry, it is merely impossible for your perfume to last which is why people with oily skin are benefitted here. But, even then, there are ways to combat this issue and not let anyone go 'nose blind', irrespective of the season. Here are four best ways to ensure that your fragrance lasts longer than ever, especially in winter: 1. Pick Heavy Fragrances Summer is for light ephemeral fragrances but for winter, they are an absolute no-no. You need to opt for heavier scents since your skin will be comparatively dry. Picking a scent that is heavier is one of the best ways to smell good all day long. © iStock 2. Pay Attention To Notes The base notes of perfumes are very important in winter. Being the heaviest part as compared to middle and top notes, having a good base note is necessary. Choose perfumes like sandalwood, patchouli or vanilla as they are common for winter. If you like some other heavy fragrance, you can lay your hands on that as well. © iStock 3. Picking A Category Think about spicy winter perfumes that have a strong fragrance of cinnamon, cardamon etc. They mainly fall in the oriental perfume category. The fragrance is rich and quite exotic that will definitely last all day long. Need more? Try woody or earthy fragrances. They are a good choice and will let you reminisce of beautiful winter days. Try labdanum or oakmoss as they hydrate the skin with their gentle texture. © iStock 4. Shopping For A Fragrance Scents work differently on every skin. A perfume that smells good on your friend may not necessarily react the same way on your skin. To properly shop for it, you need to try it out. The simplest way to begin is to leave your house without any sort of scent. © iStock Next, you can check the fragrance on four different places, left wrist, right wrist, and both elbows. Take notes on how the fragrance develops with time. If the fragrance fades then the fragrance is not for you. But if it's still active even after a couple of hours, you know you have found a winner. 6. It's established now that Ranveer Singh's OTT fashion sense is what makes him a true fashionista. Give him anything and he will indubitably turn it into something quirky. Even though he is trolled for his outrageous style, he continues to make more and more appearances like its NBD. That's what truly makes him who he is. © Viral Bhayani He recently wrapped up his schedule for '83 and while we cannot wait for him to kickstart the promotions, you need to take a quick glance at his recent fashion experiment. For Deepika Padukone's birthday celebration at the Mumbai airport, he legit took away all the attention. Take a look at his oversized long trench coat and you would see why this one is the most striking piece. © Viral Bhayani We scoured and found that he is wearing a zany reversible wool coat by Gucci. One side has a houndstooth pattern whereas the other side is backed with GG pattern blended with a classic combination of camel and ebony. The logo is continuously incorporated on this wool coat and the new iterations make this one a statement piece. © Gucci © Gucci Furthermore, the gold-toned metal buttons accentuate the look and feel of this long coat even more. The jacket is oversized and is a perfect way to rev up winter fashion game. © Viral Bhayani Gucci being a luxury brand, it can instantly burn a big hole in our pocket. The jacket comes at a whopping price of Rs. 3,27,456. Now, let that sink in first! Speaking of Ranveer's overall outfit, he is sporting the classic denim on denim trend. The Gucci Cap, which is again an overly expensive accessory priced at Rs. 30,960, is truly head-turning. As far as his sneakers are concerned, he is wearing Converse x JW ANDERSON. Probably, this is the only thing out of his outfit that's priced at Rs.10,000. © Viral Bhayani It's just the start of the month and the new year but truly Ranveer's overall outfit can give anyone that 'broke' feels. Must say, Baba, killed it again and how! Well done, Ranveer. View the full article
  7. No wedding or play list is complete without some peppy Punjabi music which serves as a dancing magnet for us. However, some tracks are just meant to sing along or listening to them while driving through the city on a cold Winter day. We have listed out five such soothing Punjabi tracks which should be on your list for sure. Here's the list: 1. Baari Brilliantly written and sung by the talented Bilal Saeed and Momina Mustehassan, this soothing number is for everyone who is scared to open the doors and windows (translates to 'baari' in Punjabi) for a new special someone after nursing a heart break. 2. Dholna The superhit number from Qismat last year has been repackaged for fans, courtesy Gurnazar and B-Praak, the maestro. Croon to the new tune and enjoy this beautiful track all over again. 3. Haaye Ve Ammy Virk is back with another gorgeously sung soothing number which will take you back to your memories of a special someone. 4. Laare The Sakhiyaan singer, Maninder Buttar, is now back with his new song with a list of fresh complaints embedded in the lyrics of the track. This one has the woman accusing the guy of keeping her hanging as he continues to be indecisive of being with her forever. 5. Allah Ve This latest track by Jassie Gill traces the love one has for a lost someone as the singer urges God trying to understand why is one left alone in the mortal world. View the full article
  8. Kartik Aaryan's promotion strategy for his latest film, Pati, Patni, Aur Woh has been the most interesting and engaging strategy we've seen in a while. From dancing over the top of a Marks and Spencer's store in Delhi, to dancing with Deepika Padukone to the #DheemeDheemeChallenge song, and near to the release of the film, his marketing team has also added a sartorial twist to the promotions which could possibly be an inspiration from the film War's promotion. Remember how Hritik (Roshan) and Tiger (Shroff) got memes printed on t-shirts and wore them for the promotion of their film? They would be spotted casually stepping out and (probably) going to the gym in a t-shirt with the other's face and a dad joke on it to engage their fans. © Manav Manglani/ Instagram Well, Kartik Aaryan's character in Pati, Patni Aur Woh called Abhinav 'Chintu' Tyagi has a moustache and a distinct personality. So, for the promotions, Kartik and Ananya got a bunch of hoodies and t-shirts with Chintu's face on it along with the hashtag: #ChintuTyagi. Take a look here: © Manav Manglani/ Instagram In fact, both Kartik and Ananya Pandey timed it so well, it almost looks like they're twinning. © Manav Manglani/ Instagram Another major aspect from Kartik Aaryan's outfit are his super long white sneakers. If you take a closer look at them you'll notice that they're not just chunky but also have an impressive width. Kartik Aaryan's outfits are clearly taking promoting a film to the next level. 9. Ayushmann Khurana has never really shied away from dipping toes in unconventional style moves when it comes to his personal style. Especially, the kind of outfits he puts together with the help of his stylist, Isha Bhansali for the promotions of his films. From putting together an unthinkable outfit for an airport look to wearing gold-embroidered jogger pants, he's done it all. © Instagram/ Isha Bhansali So, naturally we weren't surprised when he wore what appears to be a 42-inch long logo-belt over a regular pair of jeans along with a trench coat. While his all-white outfit looks sharp with a trench by Fila, the pair of denim from Levis and the sock shoe from Dior; it's his 42-inch belt by Sahil Aneja that clearly stands out. The belt is from the Sahil Aneja's recent project 'Error' that goes by the same name. © Instagram/ Isha Bhansali Usually, belt sizes are determined keeping the person's waist size in mind. So they ideally range from 26 inches to 48 inches in size which is quite long if you think about it. While we do not know the exact length of the belt, we do know that it falls in the 40-48 inch bracket considering its fall. © Instagram/ Isha Bhansali It comes as no surprise that Ayushmann is open to such stunning aesthetics with his outfits lately, especially now that his film, Bala is set to release later this week. 10. At 34 years of age, Pankaj Advani has already achieved everything there is to achieve in the world of snooker. A 23-time World Champion who has an amazing hat-trick of hat-tricks in English billiards, with the World, Asian, and Indian National Championship titles simultaneously in his name in five different years, yet the man is as humble as one can be. Always the first to extend his hand for a handshake and introduce himself even though the world knows about him, one wonders where does he get his humility and meekness from? View this post on Instagram Sport is an art. The essence of art lies in its intensity! #gameface #flashbackfriday #billiards #snooker A post shared by Pankaj Advani (@pankajadvaniofficial) on Jan 25, 2019 at 2:45am PST Pankaj's story can be traced back to when he was merely a child who was stuck at the Belgrade airport with his family when the Gulf War broke out. Scared and all out of money, afraid for their lives, they somehow managed to make it back to India. However, their suffering had not ended yet as a couple of years later, Pankaj's father expired. “That's when my mom made the conscious decision of raising the two of us (Pankaj and his elder brother, Shree) instead of working. She wanted to spend more time nurturing us,” the cueist told MensXP. View this post on Instagram Movie date with mom last nite ð¤ ð #super30 #movie #time A post shared by Pankaj Advani (@pankajadvaniofficial) on Aug 14, 2019 at 12:09am PDT And even though his mother clearly did a fantastic job raising her sons, Pankaj misses the presence of a male role model in the family. “Sometimes I wish that there was a man in the house to instil all the good values in me,” he said. Every day after school, Pankaj would follow his brother and his friends back to a snooker parlour, where he'd just watch them play for hours. For the first three weeks, he didn't even touch the cue because he was short and underaged. So he sat in a corner and tried his best to understand the game. “I am really good at observing things so I'd watch my brother play and try to understand the technicalities of the game. I would notice his stance and the way he bridged,” he said. Finally, Pankaj decided to give the game a shot. He said, “I tried to implement whatever I'd observed and when I struck the ball, it went inside the pocket and then there was no looking back.” View this post on Instagram Qualified as India number 1 for the World Billiards Championship in Myanmar in November, 2018. #billiards #worldchampionship #lookingforward A post shared by Pankaj Advani (@pankajadvaniofficial) on Oct 10, 2018 at 8:26am PDT The 23x World Champion believes that he was extremely fortunate to fall in love with the game of snooker at an early age of 11 and says that even his mother was glad that it kept them away from all the distractions children go through during their teenage years. Advani also has his school Frank Anthony Public School and college Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College to thank behind such a successful career of his. “My education was taken care of. My school and college have been really supportive of my career. When we started playing it was considered to be an unconventional sport but the best part was that our school encouraged us when they saw us succeeding. I even got to miss a few exams,” he said with a smile. View this post on Instagram In 1996, as a 11 yr old kid, I saw Arvind Savur for the first time at the Karnataka State Billiards Association. After a few weeks, I mustered the courage to ask him to coach me. He refused saying that I was too short and it would affect my technique in the long run! I was heartbroken. Few months later, surprisingly, he came up to me and said '' Now you are ready.” I was thrilled!!! Ever since he took me under his wings, I rapidly improved my game and grew as a player. Arvind Uncle has had a huge role to play in my success. So thankful to this amazing, selfless human being for coaching me without charging a single penny for it ðð»Happy Teachers Day!! #teachersday #gratitude #coach #guru A post shared by Pankaj Advani (@pankajadvaniofficial) on Sep 5, 2018 at 5:54am PDT Even with the kind of support he got from his school and his brother, money was a big issue for him. “I remember when I was 14 years old, my mom had to break an FD so that I could go to England to play my first ever international tournament, representing india,” he remembers. “It is so odd and unfortunate to think how difficult it is to get financial support when you are struggling and in desperate need of money but when you are well known, that kind of support comes flowing in, but I guess everything paid off in the end.” Back in the day, Pankaj was this extremely soft-hearted person who instead of calling out his fellow classmates for doing something wrong, would try to find a way to fix the mistake. He has clearly come a long way since then. Now, he believes that if there's something that needs to be said, he would say it. “I feel like If you are holding yourself back all the time, you are living in a world of pretend,” he said. I was slightly busy winning a few Gold Medals for India ðð https://t.co/iafpxSWP82 — Pankaj Advani (@PankajAdvani247) October 1, 2019 “I don't respond to each and every unfair comment on the internet but if and when someone crosses the line, I would not keep quiet.” For someone who calls himself an artist rather than a sportsperson, the cueist doesn't believe planning his retirement. It would not be after he wins a certain number of world championships or when he reached a particular age. It will happen when he believes that he is ready to retire. As a fan of Tennis legend Roger Federer, Pankaj feels that there is a need for individual athletes to think beyond their own good and work towards having a bigger impact their sport and society. It is because of this very reason that the 34-year-old has started an initiative called Cue School by Pankaj Advani, with a mission to introduce cue sports in schools and ensure that young kids get the chance to start playing as soon as possible. View this post on Instagram More pics from the launch of Cue School yesterday. Was great having top lady players @varshaa_sanjeev and @keerthana_147 inspire the kids to take up cue sport! Hoping to take Billiards and Snooker to as many schools as we can across the country. #cueschool #snooker #billiards #dps A post shared by Pankaj Advani (@pankajadvaniofficial) on Jan 10, 2019 at 4:10am PST If you don't follow Pankaj Advani for the game that he plays, follow him for the person that he is. If he doesn't inspire you to become a good cueist, let him inspire you to become a good human being.
  11. That Anand Ahuja is a massive sneakerhead shouldn't surprise anyone. So much so that he has his own sneaker retailing chain, VegNonVeg. If you're looking for some really elusive sneakers, or plan to flex in front of your friends with a pair that is just not available that easily, VegNonVeg will invariably come to your rescue. © Instagram/anandahuja Anand has worn some really interesting pairs over the years, and yet, he somehow manages to still get us to turn our heads, sit up and take note. This time around, he was seen wearing one of the wildest pair of sneakers we have seen in a long time. Quite literally. © Viral Bhayani Anand was spotted outside the Mumbai Airport in a pair of sneakers with a leopard print. © Viral Bhayani The sneakers had a very limited production run, and therefore are extremely rare. These are the atmos x Nike Air Max 1. The particular pair that Anand is wearing seem to be from their Animal 2.0 pack, considering that the latest ones, from Animal 3.0, do not have the red accents and the red swoosh. © Hypebeast Now, we should tell you that the sneakers only have a leopard print, they do not use the animal's actual hide. © Hypebeast These Nikes have long been out of production, but you can still pick up a pair from a large number of online retailers. If you have the cash lying around, that is. That's because the Atmos Animal 2.0s are actually very expensive. © Hypebeast The sneakers normally retail for around $1300-1500. The “cheapest” ones that we could find online, retails for $1222, or almost Rs 87,000. © Viral Bhayani For that kind of money, you can have an ultra-luxurious holiday in Thailand, AND Vietnam, combined. As a sneakerhead, you can expect Anand to dress up in a manner which focuses a viewer's attention on his sneakers, and that's exactly what he did here. In a very classily assembled monochrome ensemble, Anand paired the sneakers with a very relaxed-fitting pair of sweats and chinos. © Viral Bhayani All in all, a neat and really hip street outfit. We get it that it's a struggle, especially in this scorching heat. Not only does it affect your look, but also hampers your confidence level. Don't let it affect you in any way. Check out these fashion hacks for your wardrobe to keep the stench away, forever: © Facebook 1. Choose The Right Colours It seems like an excellent idea to wear light colours in this hot weather, but tbh, they don't do a great job at hiding those sweat stains. 14. Driving in India is a tedious and nerve-wracking task. From shouting at pedestrians for jaywalking to being the only one who follows the traffic lights, it is stressful. And don't even get us started about the Indian roads. But, in spite of all the fuss about it, we Indians simply love the luxury of driving around and owning the best of the cars. And that gets us back to the big news – the entry of the Korean automobile brand Kia Motors in the Indian market. Anyone who is obsessed with cars would know what that means. Kia has announced their entry in India and is all set to roll out cars at the dealerships from August 2019. But here's our point – this should have happened way sooner, as Kia Motors makes the best of the cars and we've been missing out on them all. Here are 6 reasons why this brand should have come to India sooner: 1. We Need More Of Quirky And Compact We are a country of middle-class people who buy things that are paisa vasool – that means a car that looks great, is tech-savvy, practical and fuel-efficient, all at the same time. Keeping the demanding nature of this middle-class Gen Z in mind, Kia Motors offers a range of compact economy cars that are also performance-driven. 2. They Have Green Options Too Electric cars might have a niche market in India but thankfully, it is seeing a surge in popularity with more and more people looking for Green options. Kia Motors has the highly efficient Kia Soul & Niro Electric Vehicle. If introduced in India, this efficient and economic model is surely going to be a customer favourite. Kia 3. They Stand Out In A Crowd With Their Trippy Hues There is no dearth of options in India and that's why we need something that stands out from the rest – here's where Kia comes into the picture. With their sleek designs and trippy hues and unique shapes, they are everything that we've always wanted. Each of the Kia models has a different look completed with their signature Tiger grille. Their trippy colour palette includes hues like Mysterious Blue, Alien 2 Green, Caffeine Brown and Wild Orange. 4. It's Luxury With Quality Those of you who think that Asian cars are inferior in quality need to think again. Kia Motors has won multiple global quality awards like IQS for their fine quality, safety and designs that are an absolute value for money. Their interiors are just as polished and sleek as the exterior design of the car. With comfort the number one priority, the interiors give a more spacious and luxurious vibe to the car. 5. They Offer More For Less - The Power To Surprise Compared to other high-end brands, Kia Motors strive to offer the best and most up-to-date features in economy cars. In fact, Kia has been ranked in the list of Top 10 Best Midsize Cars for the Money. Kia 6. We've Been Settling With Our Safety Options While most of the cars rely heavily on airbags and camera-sensor rearview mirrors, the Kia Motors line up offers smart and advanced safety features that include Blind-Spot Detection, Lane-Change Assist, surround-view camera and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Now that's what our accident-prone Indian roads need. Well, in spite of all that we've missed, let's just give a warm welcome to Kia Motors and say it's better late than never!
  15. The much-anticipated 'The Long Night' episode of 'Game of Thrones' aired earlier this week. Die-hard fans, who watched the episode, were left rather disappointed when multiple scenes were too dark for them make out what's actually happening in the Battle of Winterfell. Well, after receiving a lot of criticism for the poorly-lit episode, the show's cinematographer Fabian Wagner decided to give some clarity. But instead of apologizing, he defended his artistic choices. © HBO Wagner said he filmed the episode in such a fashion on purpose. He said the show was directed and shot like a cinematic experience that could be viewed in a movie theatre. He went on to blame the viewers' TV settings and the quality of the screens. “A lot of the problem is that a lot of people don't know how to tune their TVs properly,” Wagner said while speaking to Wired UK and TMZ. “I know it wasn't too dark because I shot it”, said Wagner. While we appreciate Wagner and his team's intentions and effort to deliver a cinematic experience, it doesn't really make any sense. Like, why would you try to deliver a theatrical experience and make it fit for big screens when the show is not going to be shown in any theatres in the first place? © HBO Millions of people watch it on their TVs or stream it at a compressed quality on OTT platforms like Hotstar on small screens like smartphones, tablet, etc. In fact, Wagner himself noted that HBO's compression of the episode to help smooth over the streaming process, majorly ruined the experience. Then why not shoot the show with proper lighting, so it looks good on all screens? His excuse falls apart right there? Also, it's not the first episode of the show, where the scenes were supposed to be dark. We've seen a lot of 'dark' episodes of the show in the past which were quite enjoyable and, most importantly, easy to watch. So, we can't help but raise questions here when he says “the showrunners decided that this had to be a dark episode”. Yes, the idea was to show an impactful battle, but what good are the efforts when people can't even see what's happening in the battle?
  16. It's been 10 years since 'Game Of Thrones' has been building up to the battle with the 'White Walkers' from the very first episode of the series. It's been 8 seasons now and we finally got to see the battle everybody had been waiting for. 'The Long Night', aired yesterday and even though it was a directorial marvel for a TV show, it was lacking in almost every way. Many fans of the show were left disappointed simply because logic and story arcs didn't add up. If you haven't watched the episode, this post contains spoilers, so avoid reading further. Currently, the third episode of Season 8 sits at 74% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the third lowest rated episode in the show's history. Here's why we feel the 'Battle of Winterfell' was disappointing. There are plenty of plot-holes and some scenes defy logic based on what was set up in the very same episode. Here's our deep analysis: 1. The Night King's Death © HBO If you've seen the episode, you already know that Arya kills the Night King with her Valyrian “CatsPaw” dagger. Just to make it clear, Arya killing the Night King was a true badass moment and is a great example of women empowerment in movies and TV shows. In fact, many other franchises could learn a thing or two from this particular episode. Our problem has nothing to do with who killed the Night King, its to do with how Arya got there in the first place. Just a few minutes ago, Arya was involved in a stealth scene hiding from Wights by hiding behind bookshelves and under a table. In the scene, the wights could hear her blood drops hitting the floor and could find the source of the sound. A few scenes later, are you trying to tell us that a horde of silent wights and white walkers could not detect Arya jumping 30 feet to kill the nightwalker? They could not hear Arya sneaking around in the bushes or the snow? Considering that a few moments ago they could hear blood drops but not her sneaking around in the middle of all the White Walkers? You could say that she's been trained by the “Faceless Man” and may have acquired some mind-blowing stealth tricks, but the scene prior to that totally negates her abilities. 2. This Is 'Game Of Thrones', Not a Disney Movie © HBO The one thing that made 'Game Of Thrones' special was its ability to be bold, daring and risky when it came to killing off characters. The show has unexpected moments where it doesn't fear killing off key characters in the most brutal manner. That's what sets 'GOT' apart from other fantasy franchises. In 'The Long Night', possibly the biggest and most brutal battle in the show's history, almost every named character survives. From 60,000 souls defending Winterfell, only Jorah Mormont, Berric Dondorrian, Lyanna Mormont, Edd and Melisandre died? Are you kidding me? (c) HBO If there were at least double the deaths, this would classify as a classic 'GOT' episode. However, HBO opted to play safe and made sure almost all the main characters survive. This isn't a Disney movie, this is 'Game Of Thrones'. What defies logic is that Jorah Mormont, a skilled knight who defended himself from every Wight that came his way till the very end; died, but someone like Sam Tarly who was literally flat on his butt for the entirety of the episode survived? What were the show-runners smoking? Where is the logic? Where are the loremasters when you need them? Is this a result of simply rushing the TV show and playing it safe at the same time? © HBO We all know White Walkers have taken inspiration from just about every Zombie movie, TV show and book possible. We were expecting some of our favourite characters turn into a wight; which never happened. We expected one of the characters witnessing their loved one die and convert right in front of them and having to kill them. It would have been a very emotional moment but we never got to see that. It's the simplest trope you get to see in every Zombie movie but HBO never ventured that far. 3. There Was No Tactical Strategy © HBO In the history of warfare, when you are defending a siege, you do not break the line and send out the cavalry to sacrifice themselves in the battlefield. It seems like HBO probably did not use any warfare advisors for this episode as it's simply not logical to send out the cavalry to test your opponents. It's suicide and we got to see the very same thing happen in this episode. In 'The Long Night', the Dothraki were ordered to charge at the incoming onslaught. This move is called 'Custer' but generally ends up in major losses. 'GOT' could have taken a cue from other movies that have dealt with similar scenarios. For example, movies like 'Braveheart', 'LOTR', 'Kingdom of Heaven', and countless others all have similar scenarios where they defend a position and these movies depicted battles as accurately as possible. Hell, even in the 'Battle of Bastards' it was pointed out that charging at an enemy that outnumbers you is suicide. Seriously, I'm done. 4. There Was Nothing Long About This Night A TV series that has literally spent an entire season to kill major characters ended the most anticipated battle in just 82 minutes? I mean if 'The Long Night' is depicted in just 82 minutes then we need to re-define what 'long' really means. This was a battle that has been anticipated from the very first episode of the show and all we got was a disappointing end to the battle. HBO should have spent more time to depict one of the most epic battles in the show's history and not concluded the battle in just one episode. We wanted to see some epic fights, some emotional scenes and some shocking moments. We got to see none of that and many fans simply reacted to the episode with “meh.” 5. We Couldn't See A Thing #GameofThrones s8e3 spoiler without context pic.twitter.com/lw3ipGS4Zi — 9GAG (@9GAG) April 29, 2019 In the post-episode interview, the show-runners said that they wanted a realistic feel to the episode where everything was dark. What baffles me is that there's literally nothing real about 'GOT'. It's a fantasy fiction show where we deal with dragons, zombies, incest and whatever else you can think of. We wanted to see an epic battle depicting one of the most defining moments of TV history. There was no need for keeping the entire environment dark when you could simply represent it in many other ways. 'LOTR' did it in the "battle of Gondor", 'Avengers: Endgame' did it effectively in their final battle; then what was the need for keeping everything dark? A Redditor claims that HBO simply used this tactic to hide special effects. In fact, this episode probably didn't have enough extras to show off a horde of 100,000 wights. I mean why wouldn't you show off one of the greatest armies assembled in the history of TV? Why would you hide a majority of your special effects unless something is really wrong? Unless someone forgot to bring a lighting rig, I can't think of any other excuse for this goof up.
  17. The third episode of the final season of 'Game Of Thrones' was full of surprises. The abrupt death of the Night King and his army of the undead, who have been hyped for so long, is still hard to process. © HBO While the Night King and the White Walkers have been the greatest threat inside the 'Game Of Thrones' world, the conflict central to the storyline is, however, the politics over the Iron Throne, and as it turns out, the Night King doesn't prove to be the prime enemy in this narrative. © HBO However, look at it this way. Cersei Lannister is sitting on the Iron Throne right now. She's had to manipulate, betray and even sacrifice her way to the top. But is she a fitting Queen for the Westerosi? She's already put the throne in debt by getting the Golden Company's army. In all these seasons, she's given little to no importance to the people around her, including her own brother Jaime. And if you look at the death count, you'll realize that the lives of all the major characters are still intact. Theon and Ser Jorah, Beric and Edd were the main characters that died. The people that survived included Brienne, Podrick, Tormund, and Grey Worm, who all seemed truly doomed at various moments. All named characters hiding in the crypts appeared to survive, as did both dragons and Jon's direwolf, Ghost. It was much less death than expected, in terms of the major characters. The only war that matters now, lies South, where Cersei is definitely in no mood to give her throne up. The Mad Queen is a more appropriate villain, a kind whose ulterior motives can at least be attempted to understand by the audience. Her surprising twists in the past have never failed to surprise us. She clearly has something up her sleeve that could shock us along with her enemies.
  18. The long weekend is here and in case you're not doing anything, just being a couch potato, nursing bad health or loaded with work which barred you from leaving town, then my guess is that like most of us, binge-watching will be the only plan you'll have. Here are 5 interesting suggestions for you for this weekend: 1. Hanna- This drama series follows a 15-year-old girl, Hanna who is being hunted down by a CIA agent. This dark show could be a good binge watch for you! 2. The OA 2- Brit Marling is back with her brilliance. If you followed Prairie and her friends travelling across dimensions of time in the 1st season and were left shook with what followed, this one is more layered and complicated like something you didn't imagine. 3. McMafia- Nawaz fans already devoured it last year but in case you haven't, this is a good show to binge watch. The BBC drama has Nawaz playing a Mumbai importer, Dilly Mahmood. The series revolves around Alex Goldman who is brought up by Russian exiles. Makes for a good binge watch. 4. Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé- You don't need any more reasons to watch the madness and the sheer dedication that goes behind the planning of a Beyoncé concert. This is basically a testament of her persona, just watch it already. 5. Our Planet- This series explores the wonders of the world in eight parts. This insane project was in the works for over 4 years and was shot in over 50 countries. Just prepare to be mesmerised.
  19. You don't necessarily need to have deep pockets to buy a good flagship phone in 2019. There are some amazing options out there from the likes of OnePlus, Honor, etc. Heck, even Apple proved that with the iPhone XR last year, that offered almost all flagship features at a reasonable price. Now this year, it's Samsung who's trying to do the same with its Galaxy S10e. Yes, it's a phone for those who envy all the flagship features of the Galaxy S10 and the S10 Plus but aren't willing to shell out big bucks. Well, if you are that person, then I am here to tell you that it's a great idea. I say that because I've spent the better part of the last few weeks using the Galaxy S10e as my daily driver, and I absolutely love it. In fact, I think this is the best Galaxy model for most people who're looking to buy one of the newer Galaxy S10 phones. Let me tell you why: Design & Display Of course, the first thing that I am going to talk about is the size of this phone. The Galaxy S10e is a small and compact phone. It's very much a one-handed device, and my palm completely wraps around it. It's one of those cute little phones that are really hard to find these days. Everyone who I handed over this phone to, was surprised by how tiny and compact it is. Just perfect! © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla From the power button/ fingerprint scanner on the right-hand side of the phone to the volume rockers and the Bixby button on the left, I was easily able to reach all of them without any issues. Trust me, that's not something I can say for all the phones in 2019. And before I proceed, let me acknowledge the fact that this phone has a great fingerprint scanner. Easy to reach and amazingly fast. I'd also like to point out that the Galaxy S10e, because of the smaller form factor, makes it look and feel different from the bunch. That, however, isn't necessarily a bad thing. I still love the Galaxy S10e. It's a premium looking device with glass on both front and back with an aluminium frame. © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla On to the front, the Galaxy S10e has a 5.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It doesn't have WQHD+ screen resolution unlike the other two variants, but you won't really notice it. The screen looks sharp, plus it's HDR10+ certified, so it has great colour accuracy which makes it great for content consumption. And thanks to its bezel-less design, the Galaxy S10e is even smaller than the Pixel 3, which has a 5.5-inch display in comparison. Samsung managed to pull off the bezel-less design by punching a hole in the display for the front-facing camera. I honestly still find it a little distracting, but there's not a lot that you can do to avoid it besides using some clever wallpapers to hide from the home screen as I did. © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla The hole-punch display or the Infinity-O display, as Samsung likes to call it, didn't really bother me that much. It's still an awesome display to consume content, be it gaming or watching Netflix, etc. If you hate it though, then sadly you'll either have to stick to a phone with a display notch or a pop-up camera module like the Vivo V15 Pro. Overall, I'd say the Galaxy S10e scores full marks in the design and display department. It looks and feels like a premium Galaxy flagship in every way, only smaller. Its pocketable size in an era of phones with massive footprints is a breath of fresh air, and I am sure you'll love it. Performance The Samsung Galaxy S10e is armed with Samsung's new Exynos 9820 along with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which you can expand via a microSD card upto 512GB. Now, in case you're a fan of benchmarks, then let me get that out of the way before I talk about my day-to-day experience with the phone. I ran the Galaxy S10e through Geekbench 4, AnTuTu, and 3DMark, and here's how it performed - © MensXP In Geekbench, the Galaxy S10e scored a single-core score of 4,496 and a multi-core score of 10,129. It scored 322,973 in Antutu, finally scored 4,309 in 3DMark's Sling Shot Extreme test. These results, I'd say are on par with other flagship phones on the market. And that also translates to great real-world performance as well. But that's not really a surprise, is it? I am yet to have noticed a single stutter or a hint of lag. I like to give credits where it's due, so I'd like to point out that the Samsung's new OneUI is in-part responsible for that. The UI is nice and clean, and I am really happy with how far Samsung has managed to come from the old Touchwiz interface. © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla Even with 6GB of RAM, you'll be getting the full flagship power. I also played games like PUBG and Asphat 9, and the phone was able to run even the most demanding titles without breaking a sweat. So overall, it is safe to say that the Galaxy S10e doesn't stray far from the regular S10 or the S10 Plus's performance benchmark. You'll essentially get the same performance in, you know, a smaller package. Since we're talking about the hardware, I think it's a good time to point out the Galaxy S10e has a 3.5mm headphone and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Oh, and the speakers? Well, they're just as good as the ones you'll find on the standard Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10 Plus. Biometrics As I mentioned previously in this review, the Galaxy S10e has a traditional scanner on the side, instead of an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Am I complaining about it? Absolutely not. In fact, I am glad that I didn't have to put up with a slower and a comparatively less accurate scanner. © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla Also, the side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy S10e is located in a perfect spot, in my opinion. It's the spot where my thumb naturally rests on the phone, making it very quick and easy to scan or even pull down my notification shade. And did I tell you that it's really fast? In case you're not a fan of a physical fingerprint scanner for some reason, then you can choose to use Samsung's face unlock to get into the phone. It's obviously not as reliable or secure, but it gets the job done too. Camera Oh yes, the cameras! Unlike the Galaxy S10 and the S10 Plus, the S10e only has two rear-facing cameras. There's a 12-megapixel wide angle camera and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera for times when you want to fit more of everything into an image. It lacks the telephoto camera, but frankly, it's not something you should worry about too much. Simply put, the cameras on the S10e are fantastic. If I am being completely honest, I kinda missed shooting pictures with a Samsung phone, and it was great having it around during my testing period. © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla As you can see, all the images shot from the Galaxy S10e have plenty of detail. The photos, as usual, look nice and vivid. Samsung's image processing is also playing a huge role here to make the flowers and monuments looks a tad bit better on screen. I couldn't compare the S10e's cameras with that of the Galaxy S10 or S10 Plus, but I am sure there's not a big difference in terms of the quality. I also had a great time testing the phone's ultra-wide camera too. This ultra-wide camera, in case you're wondering, captures a 123-degree field of view, with which you can fit in more people or literally mimic what you see in front of you in the real world. The ultra-wide shots are taken with the 16-megapixel sensor, so you'll have a lot of details to play around. The front-facing camera takes great selfies too. It only has a single 10-megapixel sensor on the front, but you can use the software to fit in a few more people in the shot. The shooting modes are more less similar to what you get with the standard Galaxy S10 and the S10 Plus. There's a 'Live Focus' mode which works really well. Then there are some other interesting modes like Instagram, with which you can post the image straight to Instagram as a post or a story. Battery Life Now that I've talked about everything that's good with the phone, let me address my only real concern here: the battery life. Samsung has tucked in a 3,100 mAh battery, and all things considered, it's a little disappointing. Don't get me wrong, you'll still be able to get through a full day with moderate usage, but it's not a heavy hitter. © MensXP I'll admit, I tend to push my phones pretty hard, so I wasn't really surprised with the battery life here. During my testing, I used the phone to do all my basic tasks like playing games, using 4G LTE to do some web-browsing, mindless Instagram scrolling, watching movies, shows on Netflix, among other things. I was able to get around 4 to 4 and a half hours of screen on time, and I found myself reaching for the charger every single night. In addition to the fast wireless charging support, the Galaxy S10e also supports Samsung's new Wireless PowerShare feature, with which you can charge other wireless charging-compatible devices by placing them on the back of the device. I feel like it's a cool party trick that can come handy at times when you need to charge smaller devices like your earbuds, etc. The Final Say © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla So, should you drop your money on the Galaxy S10e to make it your next phone? Well, if you are looking for a small and compact phone that performs well and has great cameras, then go for it. Yes, it falls well short of perfection in the battery life department, but given the fact that you're getting so much for as little as Rs. 55,990, I am willing to make that detrimental sacrifice here and recommend it. Seriously, the Galaxy S10e is only the best 'compact' phone I've tested in a long time, but it's also the best value Galaxy S model this year. And like I said, it's the Galaxy phone that most people should buy this year without the fear of missing out flagship features found on other phones.

If you love Marvel, you can watch any of the MCU movies for hours and hours without any complain and this is coming from someone who watched 'Avengers: Infinity War' twice yesterday just because it came on TV twice. So, obviously when people heard about the running time possibly being around three hours for 'Avengers: Endgame', everyone was just excited and was already deciding how to hold in their pee while watching the movie, so they don't miss even a second. Now that the actual running time is out - 3 hours and 2 minutes - most people are just calling the Russo Brothers cowards because we all would watch the movie without a break even if it was, say 10 hours long. The runtime for Avengers: Endgame is over 3 hours so I guess it's safe to say Ant-Man doesn't just immediately go up Thanos' butt and expand. — Rex (@ThatRexGuy) March 25, 2019 Yes. Both Gone With the Wind (3hrs and 58 min) and the titanic ( 3 hours and 15 min) we deserve a longer Avengers movie after investing nearly 10 years in the Marvel Universe — TS7 is a Hoax (@Mark_Edward21) March 25, 2019 Can someone make this happen? My daydream postcredit has been Deadpool finds the Infinity Gauntlet in a dumpster and Avengers 5 is all the heroes dealing with all the absurd damage Wade causes — pat (@patfromearth) March 24, 2019 All day. 22. The Khurana brothers are perhaps the most stylish siblings in Bollywood right now, and even though Ayushmann usually is the forerunner in terms of kickass style moves, Aparshakti is not far behind at all. He just demonstrated it once again with his accessory game, by wearing an industrial belt that's more than 6 Feet 7 Inches in length. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Aparshakti is wearing the Off-White industrial yellow belt that was showcased first during Virgil Abloh's Fall-Winter collection in 2016. The yellow belt runs a super extra length of 205 cm and has an adjustable metal buckle. Of course, he had to wrap it around 2-3 times. © Hypebeast Off-White is famous for creating pieces that set the wearer apart in a crowd, and this clearly is one of those statement pieces of accessories. The fact that Aparshakti is wearing it with a basic black T-shirt and a relaxed pair of black trousers, shows that the man understands the nuances of subtle street style. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Coming to how much it costs, the belt is worth 211 USD, which when converted to NR comes close to about Rs 15,000. But when one piece can transform your entire ensemble, we guess it's worth it after all.
  23. The Apple Watch has been dominating the wearables market ever since it was announced and is now considered the best smartwatch there is. The Apple Watch has added many useful features over the years, however, it lacked one feature that has been absent for a while. © Pillow The Cupertino giant is rumoured to be testing sleep tracking securely and according to insiders who spoke to Bloomberg and detailed Apple's plans. The Apple Watch is expected to launch the sleep tracking feature in 2020 and will essentially also kill third-party apps that are currently offering the same feature on the Apple Watch. Currently, apps like Pillow and Sleep++ offer a similar feature where it tracks a user's sleeping patterns and habits. Smartwatches that tend to have a sleep tracking feature usually last for days due to a larger battery. This will be a major hurdle for Apple to overcome, as the Apple Watch can last only for a day on a full charge. Apple may have to outfit the 2020 Apple Watch with a bigger battery or add a low power setting for speed mode. © Beddit Apple recently bought Beddit, a company that makes sleep tracking devices as well as apps for iOS and the Apple Watch. The company also launched a sensor strip that can be placed underneath a bed seat to track sleeping patterns and snoring habits. Sleep-tracking has been one of the most requested features by Apple Watch users, however, Apple will have to either increase the battery capacity or come up with a different solution in order to run this feature. We can only be sure when the new Apple Watch will be announced this year and its capabilities and see if it hints at the upcoming feature with a larger battery or a new power saving mode.
  24. Last November, the Indian cricket team embarked on a long journey away from home that included gruelling tours of Australia and New Zealand. During that time, India drew the Twenty20 International (T20I) series before winning the Tests and One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Australia. And then, they travelled to New Zealand where they demolished the hosts in ODIs before stuttering in the T20Is. While their overseas tour has come to an end, India, now, await their next challenge which, once again, involves the Australian brigade. With revenge on their mind, the Aussie team will travel to India for two T20Is and five ODIs, slated to begin from 24th February. But, after spending three months on the road, the Indian cricketers finally had a breather as the T20I series against Australia is still more than a week away. Several Indian cricketers were seen making the most of their time at home after they shared pictures and videos on the social media. From Rohit Sharma to Virat Kohli, here's how Indian cricketers are unwinding following their long overseas tour: Rohit Sharma How happily he is playing with his daughterâ¤ð! But, the 'Hitman' did find a reason to cheer for as he became the leading run-getter in the shortest format following a brilliant fifty in the second T20I in Auckland. Upon his return to India, Rohit was elated to spend time with his daughter 'Samaira'. A video of Rohit playing with his daughter was also shared on the social media. Thanks to his exploits, the wrist-spinner recently notched up a career-best second position in the ICC's T20I rankings for bowlers. Clearly, the young spinner was happy to be home as he shared a photograph of himself in the company of his Team India mates Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and Yuzvendra Chahal. While he did get a lot of starts, Dhawan just couldn't capitalise and convert them into big individual scores. With the Aussies coming to India this month, Dhawan will be eager to make his presence felt in a bid to win over the fans. And, that's exactly what might have been on his mind when he shared a brief video where the left-hander can be seen doing push-up on his knuckles. Virat Kohli Instagram After helping his side in gaining an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match ODI series, Kohli was rested from the last two 50-over contests and the three T20Is against New Zealand. While his team stuttered to a narrow 2-1 loss in the T20Is, Kohli was seen exploring the scenic beauty of New Zealand with wife Anushka Sharma. Early on Tuesday, the couple returned home and as soon as they landed at the Mumbai airport, the Indian captain shared a selfie of their arrival with the cricket fans on the social media. Dinesh Karthik Instagram The Indian middle-order batsman was recently slammed for his antics during India's four-run loss against New Zealand in the deciding T20I. His decision to deny Krunal Pandya a crucial single in the final over didn't go down well with the fans. Karthik did manage to hit a six off the last ball, but it wasn't good enough to take India home. But, that is now a thing of the past. The T20I series is done and dusted. And, Karthik is just happy to be back home and dig in to south Indian delicacies. The former Indian captain shut his critics with his 'Player of the Series' performance in the ODIs against Australia and then continued to play a crucial role in the middle-order against the Kiwis. On the back of some sublime performances, Dhoni has not only won over fans, but has also impressed the selectors who'll surely take note of his exploits before announcing the Indian squad for the ICC World Cup in England and Wales. But, for now, Dhoni seemed really happy to return home.
  25. Someone telling you that you smell great is the best kind of compliment you could get. Your favourite cologne or perfume can make a great impression on ladies. But only if it lasts long enough. When you hustle all day at the office from 9 am to 5 pm, your signature scent tends to fade off. What's the point of spending so much money on perfumes if they won't last long enough? Here are a few ways to make sure your perfume lasts longer for that great first impression: 1. Stop Spraying It On Your Clothes © Gettyimages If you are guilty of doing so like most people are, correct your ways. When you spray cologne all over your clothes, you not only ruin them but also make the perfume disperse. The airflow causes perfume to disperse and leaves you with a dying fragrance all day. Spray it on your body to make sure it stays put all day long. 2. Rubbing Your Wrists Together Is A Big No-No © Gettyimages Just because you've been doing it since ages doesn't mean it's the right way. When you rub your wrists together, you're just diffusing the top notes and leaving the middle and base notes of your fragrance. For a long-lasting cologne, rubbing your wrists to absorb it isn't the way to go. Let it air-dry for that fresh smell all day. 3. Layer Your Fragrances © Gettyimages We see brands coming up with aftershaves, lotions, creams, perfumes and body washes of the same scent. Ever wondered why? When you layer up your scent with a product of the same scent, the effect is much more amplified and lasts way longer. Use the same scented products as your signature fragrance and you'll be sorted for at least 8 hours. 4. Spray On Your Pulse Points © Gettyimages If you want your perfume to last all day, you might want to consider specific places to spray it on. The pulse points of the body are the warmer parts of the body which are behind your neck, ear, elbow and knees. These spots generate body heat that helps endure the notes of your scent for a longer period of time. 5. Moisturizer Is Key © Gettyimages Applying moisturizer on your pulse points will make the scent easier to absorb and help carry it longer. Skipping this step can make your cologne disappear within minutes. These definitive ways will make sure you make a lasting impression. Spritz your cologne the right way and let it do the talking!
