  1. With Indian summers just around the corner, it's time for Indian men to start upgrading their wardrobes in order to beat the heat and look their fashionable best. This can be a singularly challenging task since adorning an ensemble that won't just make you look good, but will also help you combat Indian summers, all the while ensuring that you feel comfortable in that ensemble, isn't easy. Fortunately, we have made that task easier for you by conducting the proper research and compiling a list of some comfortable and stylish sleeveless t shirts for men. We cannot change the weather for you, but what we can do is get you the best gear to adapt to it. Now before you invest in a sleeveless tee for yourself, there are a few things that you need to keep in mind. Let's get you acquainted with the essentials: 1. The fit: You might be mistaken if you think that the fit of a sleeveless tee isn't really a matter of much concern. In reality, it's incredibly easy for your sleeveless t shirt to be too loose (often the case when you buy a size too large). So, make sure that you go for a fit that is comfortable and relaxing, but at the same time, isn't too large so as to draw attention for all the wrong reasons. 2. The colour palette: In this afflicting heat, no one wants to be further tortured by the sight of tacky coloured clothes! So, avoid wearing colours that are too bright or blinding. Also, don't go for dark colours as they tend to absorb more heat than other shades. Colours like white, grey, beige, and even light blue make most sense to invest in. 3. The material: The fabric composition should always be your concern when shopping for any kind of apparel. After all, the material of your clothes should be breathable so that your body doesn't feel stifled. When it comes to making a decision and choosing the best material available, cotton, especially Supima cotton, makes for a great and reliable alternative. So without further ado, and keeping the above three factors in mind, here is a list of 10 of the best sleeveless t shirts for men that will make you look AND feel cool. 1. 2. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are entering the twelfth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the first game of the year against the three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday, 23rd March 2019. However, the burden on their shoulders is a lot heavier as compared to their opponent. Having never won the title ever since the team's inception in 2008, the expectations and hopes of the people of Bangalore with regards to hosting the prestigious IPL trophy one day, are brutally crushing the team owners and the star-studded player line-up. Despite probably having the best coaching staff in the league and being captained by some of the greatest cricketers in the past, RCB have failed to seal the deal and their supporters are losing their cool. Having said that, after spending an amount as big as Rs. 16.35 crores at the 2018 IPL auction and retaining their best lot, the roster looks amazing. Here are the five key RCB players whom people should watch out for this IPL season: 1. Virat Kohli View this post on Instagram A post shared by Royal Challengers Bangalore (@royalchallengersbangalore) on Feb 15, 2019 at 6:43am PST Let's not spend too much time on the obvious. Virat Kohli, who is the captain of RCB and that of the Indian national cricket team, has to have an impact during this IPL season if he wishes to continue with the team as its skipper. Even though 2018 was his year and he won all the major individual awards put up by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Kohli has earned a bad reputation for himself as the captain of an IPL team. Having said that, Kohli is the second highest run-scorer in the entire league just behind CSK's Suresh Raina and became the first batsman to score 4000+ runs in the league during RCB's most successful season in 2016. As talented and gifted as Kohli is, he can manage to get runs even in his sleep. What is to be yet seen is how the King uses the supporting cast around him to take his team to the top. 2. AB de Villiers View this post on Instagram #TB to when @abdevilliers17's brilliance propelled us to a victory against Delhi Daredevils! #ThrowBackThursday #TBT #PlayBold #Repost @royalchallengersbangalore • • • • • If not for the roof, this would have landed in Cubbon Park. #PlayBold A post shared by Royal Challengers Bangalore (@royalchallengersbangalore) on Mar 14, 2019 at 2:35am PDT De Villiers was RCB's main man before Virat Kohli took the throne. The South African's furious batting style combined with years and years of experience as the captain of one of the leading teams of the cricketing world, made him an ideal piece of the puzzle that the team's road to title victory really is. Even though Mr. 360° is not the dynamic hitter he once used to be, he still possesses a lot of command over his bat and is very much capable of bringing home wins against many of the franchises from this season's matchups. 3. Yuzvendra Chahal View this post on Instagram Your focus determines your reality! ðð@yuzi_chahal23 #MondayMotivation #PlayBold A post shared by Royal Challengers Bangalore (@royalchallengersbangalore) on Mar 10, 2019 at 9:51pm PDT Yuzi Chahal has grown as a cricketer by leaps and bounds in the past couple of years. Putting in hours of practice in his craft has earned him a high chair in the Indian cricket team as he looks to represent his nation in the upcoming World Cup. Being Bangalore's leading wicket-taker, Chahal has earned immense respect and trust in the eyes of the team management that retained the leggy for his sixth season in red and gold. While bowlers like Mohammed Siraj and Washington Sundar will be at Kohli's disposal, the captain will turn to Chahal in the hour of need and demand of him the ability to break partnerships. 4. Marcus Stoinis Skipper @imVkohli with our new joinee, @MStoinis. Maybe he wants him to save his best for the upcoming VIVO IPL when he dons the red and black at #Chinnaswamy! #PlayBold #AUSvIND https://t.co/VQXFLo3JxV — Royal Challengers (@RCBTweets) November 22, 2018 Aussie Marcus Stoinis is probably one of those rare cricketers who are on the list of every fantasy cricket club owner. Having being named Australia's men's One-day International Player of the Year, the allrounder was a gem to look at as he hit big runs and scalped many wickets. A reliable player in general with the capacity to score runs on cue, Stoinis will be expected to go out there and perform on the same level as he does for his national cricket team. 5. Shimron Hetmyer Shimron Hetmyer is BOLD. We acquire him at INR 4.20 Cr!#PlayBold #BidForBold #IPLAuction — Royal Challengers (@RCBTweets) December 18, 2018 Getting paid for absolutely dismantling the Men in Blue during the Windies' visit to India in October 2018, Hetmyer was signed up by the RCB for Rs. 4.20 crores as they outbid literally every other team present in that ballroom during the IPL auctions. Known as a run-machine, this 22-year-old plays the sport like there is no tomorrow. Boasting a scary strike rate of 142.42, the lefty has scored 517 runs in the 21 T20 matches he has played so far. If Hettie brings even a fraction of his game to RCB, his presence in the team will be a huge boost for Virat Kohli and the rest of the squad.
  3. 2018 was the year when smartphone manufacturers tried weird ways to maximize their phone's screen-to-body ratio. From sliding mechanisms to hole-punch displays, we have everything in the market now. However, ZTE has decided to go for a different approach. ZTE's new smartphones, the Axon V and Axon S, were spotted online by Notebook Italia (https://notebookitalia.it/zte-axon-s-smartphone-monolitico-slider-laterale-28088), giving us a look at the design. Instead of, say, a notch or a punch-hole display, the new phones have a drastically different design. © Notebook Italia The Axon V, as you can see, has a notch that protrudes out of the body from the side, hosting what appears to be a selfie camera and a 3D sensor. Of course, the phone now has a full-screen display on the front, but the design looks downright ugly. This weird design, which I am just going to call the 'bottle opener notch', also raise concerns about the phone's durability, and prone to fall damage, etc. It's even hard to tell if this phone will get protective cases or not. © Notebook Italia The Axon S, on the other hand, is a bit of a relief as it sports a slider design. It's a horizontal slider as opposed to the vertical sliding mechanism seen on phones like the Mi Mix 3, but I'll take it over the Axon V. ZTE has decided to throw in all the cameras i.e. both two front-facing and three rear-facing cameras on the slider, so the device has a clean black. © Notebook Italia The front of the slider also appears to have a touch-sensitive area, which I believe, can be used for zoom control. The phone is said to have a 48-megapixel main camera along with a 19-megapixel secondary shooter. Additionally, the device also offers an in-display fingerprint scanner, 5G support, and more. © Notebook Italia It is, however, worth pointing out that there's no official word on the phones from ZTE just yet. ZTE may end up scraping the design for all we know. So for now, we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt. But nonetheless, the renders do give us an idea of what these OEMs are cooking for us.
  4. This year clearly belongs to biopics. With so many already released in this quarter, the much awaited biopic on everyone's beloved PM Modi is already in the pipeline and is being shot. Actor Vivek Oberoi is coming back after a long hiatus and will be playing the titular role himself. While the news created a lot of buzz because Modi Ji's life story is something everyone wants to watch, many were divided on the choice of the actor. Vivek Oberoi shared his nine different looks which he will portray in the biopic and social media cannot fathom how he looks like Modi Ji at all. Total mess. — Haroon Amin/ÛارÙ٠اÙÛÙ (@haroonamin17) March 18, 2019 While many people are annoyed wondering what angle makes him look like Modi Ji, many feel it's just another stunt for the elections. @RGVzoomin this would be helpul for you to counter attack the censor board, right before elections — BeTheChange (@WizardChoice) March 18, 2019 Does it align with election commission's directives? — sourabh g (@sourabhgdg) March 18, 2019 Movir releasing on the day of election. ðð Election campaign is ON. ðð»ð¤ð»ð — Ananya Shekhawat (@Ananya18531677) March 18, 2019 Also, many feel they only want Paresh Rawal to essay this role. He doesn't look like Modi ji.... I think paresh rawal is the best for this role but see what will the impact of story — Chowkidar Akanshaðð®ð³ (@Akansha2380) March 18, 2019 Paresh Rawal should have played the role. — HJSSINGHAM (@HJSSINGHAM) March 18, 2019 ðððð ye casting director kaun tha ......koi agar kah de ye modi jaisa dikh raha hai ð¤£ð¤£ — विà¤à¤¾à¤¸ वरà¥à¤®à¤¾ (@Traveller_Vikas) March 18, 2019 What do you think, given the fact that maybe the looks probably don't match but we still don't have a trailer of the movie to judge the performance of Vivek Oberoi? The guy is a good actor, so let's hope he's done a fine job. Don't know about 'acche din' but a Modi Ji biopic is releasing on 12th April.
  5. In a world full of people who don't want to get settled, it becomes hard if you are looking for something stable. You get called prude, old-fashioned, and too patient. All you get from the left and right swipes is a date who wouldn't want to know you the morning after. That is how our generation has become. It is all about getting naked, and nothing about companionship or compatibility. And the ones who want to know you, they usually want to know about your wild fantasies. That's why dating these days feels like a sprint whereas it should be a marathon. If you too feel like you don't belong in this world, you need to change a little. Following are a few things you can do to casually look for something serious: · Don't Push For Commitment Right From The Start You can't get a commitment on the very first day. Understand that building a relationship takes time. It is something which happens with the flow. Don't scare off your date by talking about the commitment the first time you meet. Let him/her know that you're looking for something serious but you understand that it doesn't happen in a day or two. So you're ready to go with the flow. · Ask Questions Get to know your date as much as you can. Ask questions about their goals, their dream, their lifestyle. It will reveal the kind of person they are. Then you can judge better is they seem worth your time. More importantly, their answers will reveal if they're a casual person or they know how to be serious too. For instance, if a person's hobby is drinking and bar hopping, you may expect that they like a certain pace and might not be ready for stability. On the other hand, if you find someone who is discussing his life goals, that would be the person who is serious in life and might be looking for the same. · Hold Back & Be Mysterious Don't open your entire life on the first date. Hint about the crazy things you did but don't reveal it to them. The idea here is to get them hooked to you. If they are, then even if they're looking for something casual, they might think of sticking for a longer period. No matter how hook-up cultured your date is, if you show that you're independent, smart, fun, and there's some mystery, then thought of having something stable with you would cross their mind. And all is well that ends well. These were some of the things you can do to find something stable in this on-the-move world. As they say, if you want to change the world, change yourself first.
  6. The recent Ethiopian Airlines crash has once again put the Boeing MAX 8 aircraft in the spotlight. Just five months ago, another MAX 8 being operated by Lion Air crashed, taking the total toll to 346. Aviation is statistically the safest mode of transport, and two crashes within such a short period are alarming. Following the crash, more than 40 countries have grounded the aircraft until further investigations are carried out and changes are made. India's DGCA has also grounded the aircraft and currently Spicejet and Jet Airways operate the plane. With more than 400 aircrafts on order from Indian carriers, the MAX 8 plays a pivotal role in boosting India's aviation market. © Utkarsh Thakkar / @vimanspotter Boeing's MAX series is the successor of 737 Next Generation family (737-700/800/900), and the company is relying on it to churn out profits. Even Boeing has been making aircraft for decades, and its expertise is often unmatched. So, the only question that arises is, how can a modern airliner be this unsafe? The MAX series was Boeing's response to Airbus's A320 NEO family. NEO stands for New Engine Option and while the fuselage remains unchanged, the engines are completely revamped to offer better-operating efficiency. Regional airlines worldwide require planes that are cheaper to operate, especially when aviation fuel is extremely dynamic globally. To compete with the NEO, Boeing started the MAX series and offered up to 14 percent more efficient engines along with increased cabin comfort. But, this came with a small challenge. © Boeing The Ethiopian crash investigation will take months to conclude, but initial data suggest striking similarity between the two crashes. The preliminary report on Lion Air crash is out, and we'll be relying on it to understand MAX 8's major flaw. The MAX 8 is powered by CFM's Leap 1B engines and they are significantly bigger than the previous CFM 56 engines (used in the 737 NG). Adding to this, the 737 was designed decades back and has an exceedingly low ground clearance when compared to the A320. To perfectly fit the new heavier and bigger engines, Boeing had to make minor changes in the design ranging from lengthening the landing gear to moving the engine slightly forward. © Aviation International News It was found that the bigger engine meant the plane handled certain situations differently and there was also a slight shift in the centre of gravity. The relocation and new engine design created an upward movement, nudging the plane's nose upwards. If the nose is lifted sharply, the plane will continue gaining altitude and could also stall mid-air. A stall is when an aeroplane cannot generate enough lift to continue flying. To compensate this upward movement, Boeing added a new system called MCAS (Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System) that prevented the plane from raising its noise to extreme levels. The system would automatically adjust the horizontal stabilizer and bring down the nose. To make these adjustments, MCAS relies on data from the Angle of Attack sensors. © Wikimedia (AoA sensor for reference) These sensors are located on the nose of the aircraft and calculate the angle at which the plane is climbing or descending in comparison to the oncoming air. In the case of Lion Air, faulty sensors triggered the MCAS and automatically the system tried to bring the nose down. According to the flight data recorder, automated MCAS repeatedly pushed the plane's nose down following take-off. The most surprising part of the MCAS though is Boeing hasn't mentioned the addition of this system during pilot training or manuals. This meant the pilot were unaware that a programmed system is trying to bring down the nose. Even if the pilots tried to takeover manual controls, MCAS cannot be simply stopped by moving the yoke. They need to manually trim the aircraft to gain control, but how will they know this procedure when the existence of MCAS is unknown to them? © Reuters The Lion Air pilot had more than 5,000 hours of experience and the Ethiopian pilot had more than 8,000 hours. Preliminary reports do not point towards any kind of crew error. Reports say pilots have in the past complained about a similar nose-down anomaly in FAA's database (US regulator) as well. Following the Lion Air crash, Boeing issued a bulletin to airlines operating the 737 MAX 8 advising pilots how to override the MCAS system. This week, the plane maker also announced it's working on a long-term plan to rejig the system and update shall be applied in the coming months. © Reuters We'll have to wait for the Ethiopian crash report to clear the air whether it was the same MCAS issue that caused the incident, or are there any other flaws in the airliner. Boeing has described the MAX series as its fastest-selling family of planes, with more than 5,000 orders placed to date from about 100 customers. The last time an aircraft suffered successive fatal incidents was the McDonnell Douglas DC-10 in the 70s. With inputs from preliminary report of Indonesian National Transportation Safety Committee and FlightRadar24
  7. Indian Premier League(IPL), one of the most entertaining tournaments in the world, has been on a roll since its arrival in 2008. Not only has it improved the level of cricket but has also been instrumental in discovering new talent from around the world. Players such as Hardik Pandya, Sarfraz Khan and currently the no.1 ranked bowler in the world, Jasprit Bumrah, are few of the many stars who showcased their flair in IPL and later went on to become International heroes. The recent IPL promo follows the mantra of 'Name Chhod, Game Dikha,' meaning putting the game forward will ensure that the name would follow itself. Even this year, there are some immense talents who are just waiting for an opportunity to show the world their powers. Here are some of the new players who got their name on the IPL teams because of their prolific performances in the domestic season: 1. Prabhsimran Singh © Instagram Prabhsimran Singh, a wicket-keeper batsman from Punjab has turned out be a big talking point in this years IPL auction. Being bought for a hefty amount of Rs.4.8 crores by Kings XI Punjab, Prabhsimran is a lump of coal expected to turn into a shiny diamond as the season progresses. Talking of his achievements, the Patiala boy has given quite a performance in the Indian Under-19 because of which he has reached this stage. Inspired by his idol Adam Gilchrist, it would have been surreal for him to represent the same team that of the former Aussie skipper. 2. Prayas Ray Barman © RCB Website Royal Challenger Banglore has always had a knack of entrusting young guns, earlier it was Sarfraz Khan and now its the 16-year-old, Prayas Ray Barman, who they bought for Rs.1.8 crores. The Bengali leggie is all set to make a name for himself in this year's IPL. Making his debut for the senior side this year in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the teenager has already made a mark in the domestic circuit by picking 11 wickets in 9 games at an economy rate of 4.45. To beat that, another mind-boggling stat of his came on his debut game against Jammu and Kashmir, where he bagged 4 wickets for 20 runs to star in his team's convincing win. 3. Himmat Singh © BCCI Another Delhi boy, Himmat Singh, joins Virat Kohli in the RCB squad. The 22-year old right-handed batsman has been bought for Rs.65 Lakh by the Challengers. Singh is currently one of the most promising batting talents in the country. Coming through the ranks of Delhi's age-group cricket, he has been a leading star for Under-16 and Under-19 teams and is renowned for producing his best during the knockout stages. Currently a part of India's Under-23 side and a regular member of Delhi's senior team, the Delhi lad would be all geared up to take yet another challenge with the likes of Kohli and Ab de Villiers. 4. Shivam Dube © RCB Website Shivam Dube, a well-known name in the Mumbai circuit, is a medium pace all-rounder. Bought for Rs. 5 crores by RCB, Dube somehow seems to be a carbon copy of Sourav Ganguly in terms of style, turning out to be a right-arm bowler but a left-handed batsman. Gaining an edge over his fellow teammates, he gave his reputation a massive uplift in the last one year with some big hitting in the Mumbai T20 League. He has given some outstanding performances in the recent domestic season. One of them was when he hit Pravin Tambe for 5 sixes in an over in the Mumbai T20 league and soon after recreated the moment in a Ranji Trophy match against Baroda's Swapnil Singh, just a day before the auction. 5. Varun Chakravarthy © Facebook Another mysterious spinner from Tamil Nadu, Varun Chakravarthy, has been bagged by Kings XI Punjab for a sum of Rs.8.4 crores. Being an architect-engineer by profession, Varun sets to be a perfect example of a person following his passion no matter at what age. He has almost fulfilled every role on a cricket field, starting off as a wicket-keeper batsman in school, to be a pacer after reconnecting to cricket post his job (which didn't go well as his play was halted by a knee injury), to being a mystery spinner who could bowl over 7 variations. Already being tested and proven at club level, Chakravarthy would surely be one of the top stars in the upcoming IPL season. With all these budding stars on a roll, let's see “Kaun apni game se apna name banata hai”
  8. Every year, OnePlus comes up with a new version of OxygenOS with some not-so-major tweaks. On the same lines, OnePlus is now building a new version of the software, and it's time for us to see what it may look like. The winner of OnePlus' Product Manager Challenge, Léandro Tijink, submitted some amazing renders, showing an entirely new UI and improved UX of OxygenOS. As a part of the prize for the challenge, OnePlus pledged to implement his ideas into a future version of OxygenOS. So let's take a look at some of his ideas - New & Improved Setup Menu Currently, the setup menu of OxygenOS is more or less identical to stock Android's setup menu. It looks very basic at the moment, but Tijink's design focuses on improvements to make it look more welcoming. The design, as you can see, lets you see more languages, gives you the ability to set the system-wide accent colour, and more. Take a look - © Léandro Tijink A Better Ambient Display & Lock Screen The ambient display will give you the basic information like the time, date, and notifications, and you can tap the display to get more info associated with each notification. The ambient display will also wake up to show new notifications, however, everything else will remain hidden. © Léandro Tijink As for the lock screen, there aren't a lot of changes, but there are a lot of rounded edges. It hasn't been changed all that much, and it's probably because it wasn't too bad, to begin with. OnePlus Launcher & Other Changes OnePlus Shelf, which comes as a part of the default launcher, can turn out to be very productive if used properly. Well, Tijink design imagines that space to be a lot more efficient, and hey, he made it look good at the same time. Who wouldn't want an AMOLED black mode for the shelf? Other aspects of the OxygenOS launcher also appear to be tweaked. Things like the app drawer, hidden space, and all the first-party apps have been made to look consistent with the rest of the system. © Léandro Tijink As of now, it's hard to tell which of Tijink's ideas will be implemented but OnePlus did say that it will consider Tijink's vision and add them in the future version of OxygenOS. These renders look amazing and it would be interesting to see the ones which OnePlus decides to pick. You can head over to Tijink's custom page to check out all his renders.
  9. 2019 has come bearing good news for both Bollywood actors and film-goers alike. Many A-listers of the Hindi film industry seem to have succeeded in carrying forward their success run from the year gone by, and taken the box office by storm within months of 2019. This image is from an early look test for the movie. Rumi said, 'Love is the bridge between you and everything...', and that feeling is the foundation we started building the protagonist of this movie on... Shiva. #brahmastra #shivadiaries #memories #creativeprocess #evolving A post shared by Ayan Mukerji (@ayan_mukerji) on Mar 9, 2019 at 10:48pm PST By Ayan's own admission, Ranbir in the photo was meant to be called Rumi and have a personality that resonated with its namesake. However, over time Rumi changed into Shiva and underwent a makeover that stripped him of this previous persona that surely had close resemblances to Ranbir's 2011 character from 'Rockstar', Janardhan 'Jordan' Jakhar. View this post on Instagram Am I the only one that considers Rockstar is one of the best movies of Bollywood ? . . . I wanted my life to be like that of JANARDAN /JORDAN. The portrayal of childish nature of Janardan and then the drastic change to JORDANIAN nature takes the movie to a whole new level.Though you don't share anything common with the character but somehow you get connected to it .As the movie passes you slowly feel for him and psychologically starts to believe yourself to be the character. His passionate and unconditional love for “HEER” makes the movie more special. There is also a special character which plays an important role in the life of Janardan and that's of “Kharata bhai” who is the owner of the college canteen and also someway the mentor of Janardan. His advice to janardan on singing ”SANGEET TOOTE HUE DIL SE HE NIKAL SAKTA HAY “ became the reason for janardan to become JORDAN. Songs in the movie also played a key role in transformation of the character. We cant imagine the song “Tum Ho” without Mohit chauhan. It is a classic movie and only a section of audience has the capacity of understanding the beauty portrayed in the movie. 10. Google is exploring the idea of launching a new game streaming service later this month at a Game Developers Conference presentation. We were already pretty pumped about this rumored game streaming service, but a new patent design, which shows us what Google's first controller may look like, has gotten us even more excited. © USPTO Google's patent application, as you can see, shows us the design of the controller. The patent itself is for a notification system for the controller that notifies you when, say, a game is available or when you've received an invitation. It looks like the controller can also store your account and host settings like brightness, in-game volume, and more. The illustrations don't give out much, but you can clearly see its design, complete with a dual-joystick setup, trigger buttons and more. We can also spot what appears to be a microphone button, which means we could see some sort of assistant compatibility. Also, the folks over at Yankodesign have created a series of renders based off the patent illustrations, and it looks really cool. Here, check it out: © Yankodesign It's worth pointing out that it's just a render, and the final product may look different than what you see here. Google is expected to reveal more info about its game streaming service as well as the controller at the Game Developers Conference on March 19th, so keep your eyes peeled. Source: USPTO
  11. Every nation stands tall and remains unbreakable courtesy to the knights in uniforms who stand guard at our borders, shores and skies 24X7. These fearless (and needless to say, selfless) men and women hold the country's defences, laying down their lives in the line of fire to ensure that their countrymen get to lead a life that's not threatened by fear or uncertainty. Their job description is special for more than one reason. We find them setting up their homes in the most remote areas of the country, or someplace with adverse climatic conditions, marking their territories and standing guard over it, should its borders be threatened. The Indian subcontinent boasts of such mighty knights of its own, who put on such a display of bravado in the face of challenge, which is matched only by a few others. (c) Twitter Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman is one such Indian officer who wears the uniform with pride and stands by its ideals to the hilt. Abhinandan is a National Defence Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla alumnus, who is an officer with 51 Squadron of the Indian Air Force, which is known as Sword Arms and is based in Srinagar. Hailing from Chennai, Abhinandan has been a fighter pilot with the IAF for the last 16 years and was an established Sukhoi-30 fighter pilot before he joined the 51 Squadron. A native from Chennai, Abhinandan was brought up respecting the principles of the armed forces, since his father is also an Air Force veteran. (c) Twitter Born to noted Air Marshal Simhakutty Varthaman, who retired as the Air-Officer-Commanding of the Eastern Command in Shillong in 2012, Abhinandan appeared in an episode of 'Jai Hind' in 2011, which was telecasted on NDTV Good Times. Holding a title of Flight Lieutenant at the time, he had said that it takes “bad attitude” to be a good Sukhoi pilot. He further added that there were no two ways about “blind faith” and trust that officers place on their co-pilots and the training they receive. The 34-year-old Wing Commander, who currently flies a MiG-21 Bison, was captured by the Pakistan Armed Forces after he crash-landed across the LoC after an aerial dogfight with his Pakistani counterparts who had infiltrated the Indian airspace early morning yesterday, in retaliation to India's airstrike on terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. (c) Twitter The videos of his captivity began doing the rounds of social media. The first one showed the fighter pilot being beaten by an angry mob comprising of Pakistani locals until the Pakistani army intervened and brought Abhinandan to safety. The second video clip showed a wounded and blindfolded Abhinandan enquiring about his whereabouts, and calmly giving his name and service number when enquired by the Pakistani officers. The third and final video showed him in a better space of mind, sipping on a cup of tea and informing the world that the Pakistani Army has treated him very well, and assuring that they've have been “thorough gentlemen” in their behaviour. However, for most Indians, the video series did more than just the obvious. (c) Twitter Sure, we saw the Pakistani Army's graciousness in keeping up with the ideals and ethics of combat, and hold up the principles of humanity but it was also Abhinandan's grit and strength in the face of adversity that stirred the spirit of every Indian who saw the man hold his chin up even when he realised he was in Pakistan's captivity. In a tweet earlier today, Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh hailed Abhinandan an as “embodiment of a mentally tough, selfless and courageous soldier” and hoped for his safe return at the earliest. #WingCommanderAbhinandan is an embodiment of a mentally tough, selfless & courageous soldier. During these testing times the country stands, as one, behind him & his family. Our efforts are on & under the #GenevaConvention we hope that the brave pilot would return home soon. — Vijay Kumar Singh (@Gen_VKSingh) February 28, 2019 But it isn't just the minister who feels that way. Several young people across the country have come to find a different kind of hero in Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. They have seen Abhinandan prove that his nerves are made of steels, whose display of quiet strength and composure took away the power from his captors. Abhinandan faced the Pakistani Army officers with the kind of attitude and demeanour befitting an officer of the Indian Armed Forces. Not only did he display immense strength of will, but he also didn't step away from the ideals an officer must abide by, and followed protocol by displaying dignity of character and respect towards the officers of the Pakistani army. (c) Twitter He quickly became the prime example of the kind of hero people wish to look up to, since Abhinandan's calm during such a moment of duress inspired respect not only from his fellow countrymen, but also from Pakistani citizens, who praised his bravado and show of dignity. But if you thought the video was all, hold your thoughts. Did you know, that according to an India Today report Abhinandan swallowed all the confidential documents and maps he had on himself to ensure they don't end up with the Pakistani army after he gets captured? Here is what 20-somethings are saying about their new-found hero in Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman: (c)Flickr/MensXP Even though he was captured, Abhinandan maintained the dignity of being a representative of our Forces as well as our country, and stood by demands of protocol he might have been given the training for. (c) Flickr/MensXP We agree to what Aditya pointed out right there. Being a soldier Abhinandan ensured that none of confidential documents or information he possessed could be accessed by the Pakistani army officers. He stood his ground and displayed integrity. (c) Flickr/MensXP Not only as an officer in the Indian Armed Forces, but also as a fellow human being, Abhinandan was respectful to the Pakistani officers in the video, and acknowledged their graciousness and hospitality after his captivity. (c) Flickr/MensXP Abhinandan's calmness and display of respect towards Pakistani officers has touched the hearts of million! (c) Flickr/MensXP Abhinandan made numerous young men and women in the country and around the world, stop and take note of the bravado and do or die spirit thriving in the heart of every soldier around this world. Now that Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has gone on record to state that Abhinandan will be released on 1st March, as a sign of de-escalation and peace treaty between the two countries, we positively hope that the growing tension will recede and both nations can give peace a chance. 12. Ever since Apple announced the iPhone X with a notch, smartphone companies have rushed to copy the design and even use the same tactic to hide its presence. Apple cleverly uses dark wallpapers by default which basically hides the notch when viewed from far. Samsung also uses similar wallpapers to hide the punch-hole gamer at the front of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. © Twitter_Matt B However, not everyone needs to hide the cameras, especially when other wallpapers can embrace Samsung's design choice. Twitter users Matt B (@mattcabb) posted a series of wallpapers that basically flaunt the front-facing cameras with unique characters from Futurama and even Jonny 5 from 'Short Circuit'. 13. As one of the youngest religions in the world, Sikhism glorifies the practice of growing one's hair out. More so, for spiritual and religious purposes, but it's said, that by avoiding a trim/cut, Sikhs honour their almighty as well. Besides, it's a symbol of freedom and equality. But while their tresses are most often covered with turbans, their beards do see the light of the day. They are subjected to every day climatic changes, the pollution, dust and external elements, that affect their over-all hygiene and health. Since the beard is almost like a uniform for the Sikhs, it's unfair to not pay heed towards maintaining it. Long story short: we're here with a decisive routine for Sikh men, to keep their glory-beards in top form. © Instagram/houseofwaris 1. For basics, invest in the right edibles You are what you eat, so the most fundamental trick to a healthy and lustrous beard is to maintain a diet that's rich in nutrients. Indulge in healthy fats like avocados, omega-3s, nuts, eggs, vegetables (of course) and ample amount of protein (helps in hair growth). In addition, ensure that your intake of biotin is adequate as well. Don't forget to add antioxidants and vitamins as it helps to build up collagen which promotes hair growth. The best way is to have a balance diet to get the micronutrients into your system.. © Getty Images 2. Ever heard of a Beard Wash? As the owner of an unshorn beard, you need to use a beard wash for sure; to help you cleanse and soften it. Beard wash contains organic and skin friendly ingredients. The best beard wash is one that doesn't contain sulphates and parabens. HOW TO APPLY: Wet your beard with lukewarm water and apply beard wash directly at the roots and massage it gently on your beard and the skin underneath so that it exfoliates and cleanses it. Never forget to wash your beard with beard wash everyday if you use hair styling products, otherwise just wash it with lukewarm water and oil it once/twice a week. P.S. Never ever use a head shampoo on your beard, as the skin on your face is different than that of the scalp. Choose a milder shampoo (beard wash) for your beard. © Getty Images 3. Use a beard oil to keep your beard healthy In order to add a feather to a Sikh Man's turban, the primary tip is to always oil your hair for a lustrous and crisp look of the beard. The best oil is one that is composed of essential oils that condition and moisturize your hair follicles and the skin beneath it to give a calming and soothing effect. It helps to keep everything in place. 4. Use a conditioner Hair conditioner is a hair care product used to improve the feel, appearance and manageability of hair. Its main purpose is to reduce friction between strands of hair to allow easier brushing or combing, which might otherwise cause damage. Using a conditioner is totally up to one's preference as it depends on the type of hair one has. If you think your beard's frizzy or rough, we recommend you to use a conditioner. © Getty Images Steps you need to follow to groom your beard post showering, conditioning and moisturizing: 1. Hold your horses and let your beard dry until it's semi-dry. Never use styling products on a wet beard as you will end up using a lot of it. 2. Always tie your beard as it gives a cleaner and presentable look. Since Sikhs can't trim or shape their beard, it's better to set it using a beard wax/taft hair spray. 3. Don't use excessive hair styling products on your beard as it damages the skin underneath and spoils the hair strength and cements your hair to your face which looks extremely ugly. © Getty Images 4. Try to straighten your beard with a comb instead of brush as it gives a cleaner look and also prevents damage to your fragile hair on your face. Always comb in the direction of the grain of your beard. © Getty Images 5. Use a fairly loose rubber band to tie your beard, as a tighter rubber band would cause hair loss and irritation. If you have a fairly long beard, you can use a small bobby pin to keep your beard in place. 6. Finally, blow dry your beard so that it can stay in place throughout the day and makes you look dapper. © Getty Images And voila, you're all set!
  14. Innovation doesn't come easy and Samsung managed to pull off a working foldable smartphone and calls its the “Galaxy Fold.” It's a phone that can fold and can be bought for a lot of money. There's no doubt that the Galaxy Fold is an engineering marvel; however, it has one very obvious caveat. The Galaxy Fold may look different from anything you've ever seen, but it's too damn thick when folded. © Samsung The device itself has a screen size of 4.6-inches when folded and turns into a 7.3-inch display when unfolded and becomes a tablet. It's probably the most refined foldable smartphone we've seen yet. The one feature that sets the Galaxy Fold apart from others is its app continuity feature. Currently, it works with YouTube, WhatsApp, Google Maps, YouTube, Netflix and Facebook. © Samsung On one hand, the Galaxy Fold is a device that lets you fit something in your pocket that is as big as a tablet. On the other hand, the Galaxy Fold is way too thick for it to sit comfortably in your pocket. Reports suggest that the Galaxy Fold is 17mm thick when folded and 6.9mm thick when unfolded. To put things into perspective, the Galaxy Fold is as thick as the Nintendo Switch and it is certainly not practical to fit something that thick in your pocket. On the brighter side, the Galaxy Fold does come with impressive specifications that makes it one of the most powerful and expensive smartphones yet. The Galaxy Fold comes with 12 GB of RAM and batteries on each side of the foldable phone. It has six cameras, i.e. three on the back, one on the front and two inside. © Samsung The rear cameras are a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. On the inside, the two cameras are a 10-megapixel selfie camera and an 8-megapixel depth camera. As for the front-facing camera, the Galaxy Fold has a single 10-megapixel selfie camera. Even though the Galaxy Fold is probably the most exciting thing made by Samsung yet, it's sheer thickness can be problematic for users who want a practical device. The Galaxy Fold also costs $ 1980 (Approx Rs 1,40,670) which is a fair price for something that's innovative. Whether folding phones will be a thing of the future remains to be seen. Maybe, future iterations will be thinner and more affordable.
  15. Any man knows that the mark of a true gentleman lies in his ability to suit up. Trust us, nothing looks classier than a man in a well-tailored suit. With the up and coming trends of styling suits in numerous ways and mixing it up with athleisure and business casual attire, there still remain a few things that should be left the way they are when it comes to men's fashion. Tailoring is the most adaptable piece of clothing a man can own. To get more wear out of your true business attire, the easiest and most effective move would be to lose the tie. Here are 5 ways to wear a suit without a tie and still look dapper: 1. Go for a collarless shirt © Instagram/ishabhansali Opting for a shirt that prevents you to wear a tie in the first place is possibly the best solution to your problems. Also known as the stand collar shirt, a collarless shirt adds finesse and provides a clean look without the choke of the necktie. A simple white or light blue shirt would be ideal for an update your tailored suit needs. 2. Trade the shirt for a polo © Instagram/ishabhansali To dial the tone on formality, opt for a polo tee instead of a shirt. This style retains the collar effect to make you look put together but oozes chill vibes as well making the look semi-casual. Keeping the footwear casual and accessories as minimal as possible is suggested. You can either button the polo tee up or rock an open collar depending upon the occasion. 3. Go for the classic open collar © Instagram/ishabhansali Slogging all day at the office can make your necktie feel like a noose. The best way to let it go is to open the collar for good. A simple move can make ample difference when it comes to the look and feel of the outfit. Just open the top button of your shirt and let loose. One can go from business meeting to cocktail party ready in the matter of seconds. 4. Camp collar all the way © Instagram/ishabhansali If you're a fan of the 70s fashion and want to embrace your inner OG Don, go for a camp collar. Also known as the Cuban collar, pair this shirt with earthy tones of brown, khaki and beige. This style will give you a relaxed appearance but still make you look refined. A beige suit is ideal to pair a printed shirt with. 5. A fast track button up © Instagram/ishabhansali The quickest way to look polished sans tie is to don a dress shirt in a classic button-up manner. To carry a buttoned up shirt without looking like a school kid, go for slim fit tailoring for a sharp look. For the perfect business casual style, opt for printed shirts with a neutral colored suit and loafers or derby shoes. Adapt these styling tips and they're sure to make you ditch the dreaded tie once every while and still look as debonair.
  16. OnePlus 7 is expected to launch in a few months if we take the company's recent product launch cycle into consideration. The OP 7T is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2019 and it seems like the company is about to adopt a brave new design for OnePlus smartphones. We've seen something similar with the OPPO Find X before and it seems like OnePlus may implement something similar. © Twitter It may seem too soon for a OnePlus leak; however a previous leak suggests the same design choice when an image leaked a concept phone in a protective case. OnePlus 7 Leaked#oneplus7 #OnePlus pic.twitter.com/Rb8SzTm8Ix — ä¸æ³æµç§°ä¹å«å°è (@Steven_Sbw) February 13, 2019 The leak came from a twitter account that has no previous record of accurate rumours and cannot be verified at the moment. The account does not explain the origin of the image, which makes the leak a bit sceptical. The image in the tweet, however, is in line with a previous leak where the device does not have a notch or even a punch-hole selfie camera. This implies that the smartphone may use a sliding mechanism similar to what you have seen on the OPPO Find X. OPPO, Vivo and OnePlus are owned by the same holding company i.e. BBK Electronics which makes this claim a bit plausible. Vivo and OPPO both launched a smartphone with a sliding mechanism or a pop-out camera last year. So it doesn't seem far-fetched that OnePlus may borrow the same design from its sister companies. What remains to be seen is the durability of a sliding mechanism and phones in the past have been known to wear down with use. It's a problem with any smartphone that has moving parts which make this a brave design choice for OnePlus if this rumour is to be believed. © Twitter From the image above we can see clearly that the device has a noticeable bezel possibly because of the sliding mechanism. It seems to be thicker than the rest of the phone which is very reminiscent of the OPPO Find X. Since this is a rumour based on an unverified tweet, the picture cannot be corroborated at the moment. We will know more about the smartphone closer to its launch but for now, this leak should be met with scepticism.
  17. Apple's AirPods have been due for a refresh for quite some time and we've been hearing about a launch every now and then. Last year, we expected Apple to announce the second-generation earbuds alongside the iPhones, but it didn't materialise. AirPods have been extremely successful since its launch and are still among the most preferred. With 2019 setting in, we're hearing even more about the upcoming AirPods 2. Thanks to MySmartPrice (https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/apple-airpods2/), we know the AirPods 2 will look similar to the previous generation, but pack a set of new features. Improvements will include improved bass and a grippier, non-slip coating, and new sensors. © Apple Previous reports have pointed out that Apple is very serious about health and shall include a host of new sensors like heart rate scanner and enhanced fitness trackers. The wireless earbuds shall also feature water resistance, better battery life, and improved audio quality. The AirPods 2 shall come in two colours -- black and white. The price is expected to be around US$ 200 (Rs 14,100), instead of the current US$ 159 (Rs 11,250). © Reuters Secondly, the same report also sheds light on Apple's AirPower mat. The wireless charging mat was first announced in 2017, alongside the iPhone X. But we haven't heard anything official about it since then and the company still seems to be finding a way to mass produce it. However, since the product was first teased, AirPower seems to have undergone some adaptations. The production-ready mat is said to be "slightly thicker than originally expected" due to a multi-wireless charging coil configuration. Earlier reports have indicated that the product wasn't ready since it produced an exceptional amount of heat, thanks to multiple coils. The AirPower itself may come with some 'exclusive features' but those will come to play only with iOS 13. © Apple The AirPods 2 is expected to launch in the first half of this year, while the AirPower mat is expected to come by the end of 2019. We expect the company to announce the two together during a press conference in the coming months.
  18. While mobile gaming has been on the rise and insanely trending right now, nothing can take away the experience a PC can deliver. Even laptops have made phenomenal improvements in the last few years and offer top of the line specifications. Instead of a full-fledged PC, a laptop also provides the comfort of portability. Brands have been working on integrating desktop grade GPU's in laptops, and they can now deliver on par performance. In fact, Nvidia has also released special GPUs for laptops and this, in turn, has not only brought down the price of owning a gaming laptop but also offers a complete package. Based on multiple metrics like display size and quality, processor, GPU, additional gaming-centric features, and battery life, we've compiled a list of the top gaming laptops one can buy in India (they're sorted according to price). 1. Acer Nitro Ryzen 5 (Rs 53,990) © YouTube Acer's launched multiple laptops last year and the Nitro series has been an instant success. While most other machines are powered by Intel's processor, this one is the only exception. It has a 15.6-inch display and is powered by a quad-core AMD Ryzen 5 chipset clocked at 2.0Ghz with 8GB RAM. The laptop has a dedicated Radeon RX 560X GPU with 4GB memory and ships with a 1TB hard drive for storage. It comes with Windows 10 Home pre-installed and weighs 2.7Kg. 22. The one thing that every skinny dude at the gym wants is to gain muscle and look like a fitness model. When they ask their gym trainers on how they can achieve that look, most of these desi trainers say: "Eat more protein and train for hours." "Go heavy weight and low reps to gain muscle." "Take steroids." Sadly, that is what their advice is limited to. Take drugs. Instead, follow these five tips that will help you get that look you've always wanted: 1) Eat In A Calorie Surplus Eat more calories than you burn on a regular basis. When you consume more calories than your maintenance, it results in weight gain. The usual goal in a surplus is to make sure that weight gain is mostly muscle. Start with a moderate calorie surplus of 200 to 400 calories and eat adequate protein which is ~1.8 to 2.2g/kg of body weight. © YouTube 2) Start At A Low Body Fat A big-time myth which comes from desi gym trainers is - You can convert body fat into new muscle tissue. Well, you can't. It is utter nonsense. The ideal body fat range to start your bulking phase is at 8-10% and goes up to 15 to 18% 3) Get Stronger Resistance Training (RT) is the driver of muscle growth, nutrition simply augments the process. Resistance Training (RT) places the musculoskeletal system under stress of mechanical tension – biomechanical tension placed on muscle via resistance. This stress disrupts homeostasis and signals a host of adaptation processes to occur and intake the pathways for anabolic signalling. Training volume determines the magnitude of hypertrophic (more gains) adaptations. Training volume = total amount of work (sets x reps x load) More adapted volume= more gains. © Pixabay 4) Sleep Recovery is as important as food and training. Research studies have proved that testosterone, which is the prime hormonal driver to gain muscle is elevated by 15-35% with of proper sound sleep over time. Sleep at least 8 hours every day. 5) Do Short Fat Loss Phases Between Your Gaining Phase Implementing a short 3-6 weeks of fat loss phase between your gaining phase can be a helpful strategy to cut some body fat. I suggest implementing this strategy after 10-12 weeks of gaining if needed. So get on with this and see yourself making some gains in the gym. 23. Galaxy S10 is now probably the most leaked smartphone before its launch this year and previous leaks hinted towards an in-display fingerprint. Now the news may have been confirmed, thanks to a since-deleted tweet that highlighted this feature. © Twitter The in-display fingerprint sensor will work similar to what you've seen before on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the OnePlus 6T. A leaked picture shows that the Galaxy S10 will also have a specific spot on the screen where users can place their finger. The placement of the sensor is right between the camera and phone shortcut you see on the lock screen. There's also a good chance that the in-display fingerprint sensor will be used to make secure payments via Samsung Pay. Samsung is expected to use Qualcomm's ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader technology which works differently than what we have already seen on the OnePlus 6T. The OP6T uses optical sensors which is a tad bit slower than Qualcomm's ultrasonic readers. The Qualcomm tech also enables the display to read your fingerprint in a wider area. We've already seen something similar being tested at Xiaomi and a video showed off its capabilities. © BCCL The fact that Galaxy S10 will have a different way to unlock the smartphone via the in-display fingerprint sensor, we are quite excited to test it out for ourselves. Users still prefer to use a fingerprint scanner for security purposes as it is a more reliable way to secure a smartphone. We've seen numerous instances before where facial recognition systems have been fooled by pictures. In fact, over 30 smartphones have already failed this test and you can all about it here. 24. Asa Kazingmei exhibits are always an exciting event filled with unparalleled energy. For the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019, Asa experimented with their signature, 'the leather jacket' and tried to create unconventional but badass looks. Using defined silhouettes and structures, he has created a futuristic themed ensemble called 'Bionic' with space age elements and trinkets. You can even spot bold accessories like the bum bag, face masks, chunky lockets, ripped patches, graffiti scribbled fabrics among other intricate details. The collection is perfect for achieving a rad gangster vibe, which is perfect for a trip with the boys to the mountains. We think that face masks are not only cool but also important today because of the increasing levels of air pollution and Sneha Arora for Asa Kazingmei shows how to style them in the most fierce, gangster way. The show also saw Gurmeet, Nikhil Chinapa and Prathamesh Maulingkar walking the ramp. Take a look at the collection to see how easy it is to achieve a rad gangster vibe. © Lakmé Fashion Week Keep in mind that kohl, dreadlocks and black are your essentials. You start with taking care of these first. However, you can do without dreadlocks if you want to. © Lakmé Fashion Week A leather jacket, patchy ripped jeans and bulky boots add metal to the outfit. © Lakmé Fashion Week Throw on a bunch of trinkets and baggy black joggers, a counter intuitive way to achieve the look. © Lakmé Fashion Week Graffiti doesn't belong to the walls. Wear it on your sleeve with pride, for it is a great medium for self expression. © Lakmé Fashion Week Bumbags work really well with this look. PSA: Never forget the mask. It saves you from the toxic pollutants in the air too and also contributes as a major factor in making you look rad.
  25. The Samsung Galaxy S10 launch is scheduled for February 20th 2019 and we pretty much know everything about the phone right now. There have been numerous CAD leaks, along with reports on the alleged specifications. But thanks to MKBHD, we're getting a first-hand look at a dummy S10 model that is used by the case or cover makers to closely work with. There are going to be three variants of the S10 this year, the flagship S10, the S10+, and a slightly cheaper S10e. Samsung has been launching two variants of the S-series flagship for quite some time, and now the company wants to lure buyers with a slightly cheaper option that carries flagship enough feature, at a lighter price. Considering the success of the iPhone XR, the S10e seems to be a safe bet right now. We hope it won't cannibalise sales of the elder sibling, just like the cheaper iPhone did. The S10 will have a 6.1-inch display with a 3500mAh battery, while the S10+ shall sport a 6.44-inch display with a 4000mAh battery. The S10e is reported to have a slightly smaller 5.8-inch screen, and maybe even a smaller battery. © YouTube/MKBHD The phone has a signature Samsung design, consisting of metal and glass. The glass back is obviously a fingerprint magnet, and the front is strikingly similar to the previous iterations. The bezels are ultra slim, and the chin has been slightly cut down as well. On the left is a secondary utility button, basically a dedicated button for Bixby smart assistant. The first thing you'll notice about the S10 and S10+ is its camera array. Both sport triple lens setup on the rear, while the S10 has a single front camera. The S10+ gets a dual camera setup on the front, and all the front sensors are housed in a punch-hole design. We've already seen this technology in action with the A8s, and Samsung likes to call it the Infinity-O display. © YouTube/MKBHD The physical fingerprint sensor is no-where to be seen and we're assuming it'll be now located under the display. We've already seen this technology in action with the multiple phones like the Vivo NEX and OnePlus 6T. Lastly, the headphone jack is located on the bottom, and Samsung isn't yet forcing us to move on. This shall be the 10th anniversary of the S-series smartphones, and to make things even more interesting, Samsung could launch an S10+ variant with 1TB of internal storage. However, these are just pre-launch rumours and reports, and we'd ask you to take 'em with a pinch of salt since the final product could definitely vary.
