  1. In the world of ten-pin bowling, delivering a perfect strike is one of the most difficult things. Some might tell you it's all about the foot placement, while others would preach about the peculiar release to bowl a strike. But, no one will ever advise you to bowl with a round-arm action, akin to bowlers in cricket. Well, in one of the firsts, a man was seen bowling a strike - thanks to an unorthodox method. In a hilarious video shared on Twitter, the man, in question, can be seen preparing to bowl, but rather than following the proven techniques, he surprises everyone by bowling with a round-arm action that reminded us of medium-paced bowlers in cricket. this nigga @Thundercat got us kicked out the bowling alley pic.twitter.com/1nDZOvV3XN — Zachary Fox (@zackfox) May 14, 2019 For the first time, in bowling history probably, someone has managed to pull off something as crazy as that and still come good in the end, striking all ten pins down. With the ICC World Cup slated to begin from 30th May, it seems that the man was clearly inspired by the cricketing fever that is ready to grip the world in what promises to be a scintillating tournament.
  2. With the final movie of phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, 'Avengers: Endgame', releasing worldwide tomorrow, and the ICC World Cup 2019 around the corner, the craze for both the movie and the sport is at an all-time high right now. However, there exists some uncanny resemblance in the characteristics of the 'Earth's mightiest heroes' and the leading international cricketers in the modern era. Take a look: 1. Captain America - Mahendra Singh Dhoni: © Marvel, Reuters Calm, professional and well-behaved (well, most of the times). Built on the principles of the older, more classier times, Steve Rogers comes from humble beginnings and knows how it feels fighting an uphill battle. With his talents and skills, Rogers realises the responsibility that lies on his shoulders and stands for his beliefs. He is also the mind behind every move that the Avengers make while dealing with their enemies. Popularly known as 'Captain Cool,' there is no other cricket whose personality fits that of Captain Rogers like a glove. The 'never give up' attitude and the passion that allows him to fight through his pain literally makes him the Captain America of cricket. Dhoni's unique strategies from behind the wicket helps his bowlers like exactly with what goes on in Rogers' head when the Avengers are on the offence against the Chitauri army or Ultron's evil bots. 2. Tony Stark - Virat Kohli © Marvel, Reuters Tony Stark knows what he is doing even though the people around him think that he is losing his 'touch'. Habitual of being great ever since he wore the Iron Man suit, Stark has made a name for himself as a fearless warrior with millions of fans going crazy about his charm. Even though the millionaire is the king of trash talk, he has his achievements to back it up. The current captain of the Indian cricket team is probably the closest of a character to that of Tony Stark. Barking abuses at his opponents while batting or even as a fielder, Kohli too has the tendency of getting under the skin of his opponents. Even then, his brilliance as the world's best Test and ODI batsman, people from all over the world have become his fans. 3. The Hulk - Chris Gayle © Marvel, Reuters Although the Hulk suffered a huge defeat at the hands of Thanos during 'Infinity War' and is now working on his confidence inside of Bruce Banner, he is never the one to shy away from smashing his enemies left, right and centre. On a good day, he looks forward to a battle and if the beast sets his eyes on a target, he is going in for the kill. His brute strength and imposing physique make him an integral part of the Avengers. On the other hand, the big hitter from Jamaica was struggling with his form, especially in One-Day International, so much so that he announced to retire from the game altogether. However, during the ODI series against England and the on-going IPL season, Gayle found his mojo back and has now been selected for the Windies roster for ICC World Cup 2019. 4. Thor - Andre Russell © Marvel, Reuters The mighty 'God of Thunder', Thor Odinson is confident, strong and enigmatic. Having his hammer destroyed, Mjolnir, he left powerless and weak. It was only after wielding himself a new weapon, the Stormbreaker, did he return to the main stage to take on the 'Mad Titan'. Sure, he should have gone for Thanos' head, there still may be time for him to redeem himself in 'Endgame'. A hilarious yet emotional Andre Russell suffered a similar fate as Thor when he suffered from knee injuries and bad form in 2017 and 2018 and was dropped from the West Indies side after they lost to Bangladesh in an ODI last year. For him, the 'Stormbreaker' came in the form of the ongoing IPL season with Kolkata Knight Riders. Finding his form back at the 11th hour allowed him a ticket for the 15-man squad for ICC World Cup starting next month. Russell will be looking forward to the tournament in England and Wales to prove his worth. 5. Rocket Raccoon - Sarfraz Ahmed © Marvel, Reuters One of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket is infamous for his loud mouth and often gets himself into all sorts of trouble for speaking without a thought. Having said that, the smallest of all the Avengers (other than a shrunken Ant-Man) probably has the biggest heart and is not afraid of a challenge when he sees one. The captain of Team Pakistan, Sarfraz Ahmed is exactly the same. The wicket-keeper batsman got himself in hot waters and got banned for five international games after making racist comments towards South African cricketer Andile Phehlukwayo. Nonetheless, the leader of an average Pakistan team is second to none in terms of confidence as he believes his side has an upper hand over Kohli's team heading into the World Cup.
  3. MS Dhoni is the 'coolest' captain the Indian cricket team has ever had. And literally so. Boy, can the man keep calm under duress or what? The former Indian skipper even holds a number of epithets along the same lines, such as 'Captain Fantastic' and 'Mr. Iceman', apart from the most popular one, 'Captain Cool'. © Twitter However, today people on Twitter are chanting his name for an entirely different reason and one that is truly heartwarming. We all know how passionate Dhoni is about cricket, which obviously extends to his love for his Indian Premier League team, Chennai Super Kings and its supporters. © Twitter So, last evening, after the match with Mumbai Indians came to an end, Dhoni met up with one such special fan patiently, who was rooting for him and cheering the team from the stands. The fan is special because she is an elderly woman who was seen gracing the stands during the match, holding a placard that read, “I am here only for Dhoni.” Captain cool, @msdhoni humble ð Heartwarming to see this gesture from the legend in Mumbai ð¤@ChennaiIPL #VIVOIPL pic.twitter.com/6llHlenIzL — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) April 4, 2019 Captain Cool not only interacted with his die-hard, elderly fan with humility and affection, but also clicked selfies with her, and presented her with an autographed CSK jersey! The video of this heartwarming meeting was shared on the Indian Premier League's official Twitter handle, which has since been widely viewed and circulated on social media. © Twitter What's more, all the Dhoni fans across the country cannot stop chanting 'Captain Cool' for his kind gesture from Dhoni. This man is pure gold... — pankaj bhardwaj (@2113pkbhardwaj3) April 4, 2019 Reason Why he is Respected Everywhere :) Humble and So Ground to Earth — Sachin Tendulkar ð®ð³ Fans (@CrickeTendulkar) April 4, 2019 #MSD is a great cricketer in the world right now ## — Kamal Singh@ V (@KamalSinghV1) April 4, 2019 Fan for life ! 5. People say "a picture is worth a thousand words," and Bollywood icon Anil Kapoor's latest post featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one such picture. Today, the actor shared a picture from his meeting with PM Narendra Modi and we can't wait to decode the conversation the two might be having with each other. Instagram Maybe, Mr Kapoor asked PM Modi if he watched 'Race 3' or not? Or maybe PM Modi asked Anil Kapoor to teach him how to say 'Jhakaas'? Keeping my imagination aside, let's come back to the story. Anil Kapoor wrote on Twitter, "I had the opportunity to meet our h'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji today & I stand humbled and inspired in the wake of our conversation." He further wrote, "His vision and his charisma are infectious & I'm grateful for the chance to have witnessed it in person." I had the opportunity to meet our h'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji today & I stand humbled and inspired in the wake of our conversation. His vision and his charisma are infectious & I'm grateful for the chance to have witnessed it in person ðð» pic.twitter.com/Tnl7JNRvT4 — Anil Kapoor (@AnilKapoor) January 16, 2019 Before Anil Kapoor, the current crop of Bollywood actors and filmmakers too met PM Modi in Delhi and clicked selfies with him. From 'Gully Boy' Ranveer Singh, 'Uri' actor Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Sidharth Malhotra, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor and Rohit Shetty posted on social media about their experience of meeting the PM. Karan Johar was one of the first ones to share the selfie on social media. View this post on Instagram Powerful and timely conversations can bring about change and this was one of what we hope will become a regular conversation. Meeting the Honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi today was an incredible opportunity. As a community, there is a huge interest to contribute to nation building. There is so much that we want to do. And can do and this dialogue was towards how and what ways we can do that. When the youngest country (in demography) joins hands with the largest movie industry in the world, we hope to be a force to reckon with. Together we would love to inspire and ignite positive changes to a transformative India. The film industry would also like to send a huge thanks for the GST reduction in movie ticket prices that was implemented recently! Thank you so much for your time, Sir! A post shared by Karan Johar (@karanjohar) on Jan 10, 2019 at 4:24am PST On the work front, Anil Kapoor is set for the release of his upcoming film, 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' with his daughter Sonam Kapoor, on February 1, 2019.

    NBA Meets Bollywood

Bollywood is a global phenomenon. Even when it comes to the NBA, Bollywood has a major role to play. Have a look.
  7. Starting my day with the red-hot Realme 1 is a treat in itself. The first word that pops into my mind every time I see my OPPO Realme, is definitely 'AWESOME'. Especially because the kind of support it gives me in a price of Rs. 13,990 is immense! And that's a great way to start the day! Anyway, getting ready for work is quite a speedy affair, where I am mostly running around to get stuff done as soon as I can. In that small window of 30-40 minutes, I let my 'awesome' Realme charge, and that's almost all it needs to last for the entire day. I get to work as soon as I reach office. Due to a somewhat weird habit, that I developed back in school, I just can't concentrate without listening to music. I listen to some Damien Rice early on, on my phone, which boasts that a single speaker is loud enough, and is certainly better than most of its competition in the market. Sahil Kedia/MensXP Now, you might think that I am a diligent worker because I start working as soon as I reach, but let's be honest, we all take breaks and I am no different. But I spend most of my breaks taking selfies. I have no shame. Sue me! Sahil Kedia/MensXP MensXP And I simply love the Realme 1's cameras: both front and rear, because irrespective of what my condition is, I look awesome in the pictures. The AI Shot included in the phone acts as a personal beauty artist, which gives me customised options to look picture-perfect. The camera works, if not better, as good as a dual camera, which is great for the kind of money I've spent. Sahil Kedia/MensXP The phone also comes with its own AR Sticker function, which is supported in both front and back photography, as well as video recording, offering the most convenient and fun photography experience! The 13MP rear camera also features the AI Scene Recognition which can intelligently and accurately identify different scenes and objects in real-time to tune the perfect balance of brightness, exposure, color, and contrast. It's wonderful to have so many new features in a price-range so affordable. Sahil Kedia/MensXP Sahil Kedia/MensXP On days that are light on work, I spend some time catching up on my favourite series and movies. With a 6-inch FHD+ Full Screen and a screen-body ratio of almost 85%, the Realme 1 provides a great experience with clearer and more colourful videos. And if you're wondering, yes, I keep the downloaded shows and movies on my phone. How else do you think I will use my 128 GB ROM storage effectively? Sahil Kedia/MensXP And unlike many of its competitors, the phone doesn't freeze when overused. In fact, there's no such thing as overusing my Realme 1. I have run up to 20 apps in one go and my phone hasn't hung on me even once. It has the most powerful CPU- Helop P60- in the present segment. It is the same chipset as that present in OPPO flagship F7 available in half the price of the latter! Isn't that a great deal? Sahil Kedia/MensXP Sahil Kedia/MensXP I take a cab back home and usually spend hours in the dreadful traffic. That's when I normally speak to my friends to kill the time. The phone's 3410mAh battery + AI battery management promise + the sharp AI processor ensures that a long and high usage doesn't affect its performance or heat up the phone. So, talking on the phone for 2 hours at a stretch is not a biggie for my Realme 1. Sahil Kedia/MensXP Priced at Rs 13,990, this phone definitely puts all others to shame. Along with the Solar Red body that I own, there's another variant which is much more elegant, in my honest opinion: Diamond Black. The phone's rear panel stands out and gives it a premium look. Seeing the thought and detail given to a budget smartphone is almost refreshing. Sahil Kedia/MensXP With the phone offering the best specifications, one of the best selfie and rear cameras, the most unique designs in the market... Don't you think you're missing out on something if you don't have a Realme 1? But hey, if even Rs. 13,990 seems out of budget, OPPO's got you covered with an even more affordable variant of the phone! The price of the new Oppo Realme 1 Moonlight Silver variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage has been set at Rs. 10,990! Sahil Kedia/MensXP Thinking of buying a new phone now, are you?
