  1. Ever since his appointment as head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri, despite his intentions, has always managed to grab the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Losing the top job to Anil Kumble in 2016, Shastri had slammed Sourav Ganguly, who was then part of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) responsible for picking the new coach, for being disrespectful in the interview process. A year later, when he was eventually appointed as Team India coach, Shastri's antics in the dressing room and uncanny comments about the game often made him the butt of all jokes on social media. No matter what he does, Shastri continues to be targeted by social media trolls and often becomes a subject of hilarious memes. #RaviShastri #meme à¤à¤à¤¡à¤à¥à¤à¤°: बà¥à¤²à¤¾ à¤à¤¿à¤à¥à¤ à¤à¤¿à¤à¥à¤, Me: pic.twitter.com/D9HjQT6hBV — SHAIKH IRFAN | عرÙا٠(@iam_shaikhirfan) October 21, 2019 More recently, the Indian head coach was laughed upon by fans after he was caught taking a nap in the pavilion during the third Test between India and South Africa in Ranchi. If his napping photo took the social media by storm, Shastri's brutally honest comments after India's emphatic triumph at the JSCA International Cricket stadium left everyone in splits. Following a 3-0 whitewash of the Proteas, Shastri said: "Ajinkya Rahane was always there in the middle order, he only needed to rediscover, which he did himself. Rohit is different class. As an opener he needed to have a different mindset, he acclimatised. It was a difficult pitch to start with but usne jhela". straight line: _________________________ dashed line: __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ dotted line: ........................................... iconic line: pic.twitter.com/OorOKh8K8S — Freak (@hobart_133) October 22, 2019 But, it was his comments on the mindset of the Indian team that took everyone by surprise. "Our philosophy has been 'bhaad mein gaya pitch (to hell with the pitch). We need to take 20 wickets and it doesn't matter if it's Mumbai, Auckland, Melbourne, anywhere. Once we have taken those 20 wickets, our batting, once it gets going is like smooth-running Ferrari," he quipped. chaar botal vodka, kaam mera roz ka ð — Shachindra Pandit (@shachindra18) October 22, 2019 शाशà¥à¤¤à¥à¤°à¥ भाठpic.twitter.com/iMcii68OGV — Kamina Chora (@chora_kamina) October 22, 2019 Goti man keeps coming up with gems — Saurabh (@Boomrah_) October 22, 2019 Subah subah laga ke aaya hai ye ð — Ace Procrastinator (@Olestoepoke) October 22, 2019 Bira brand ambassador should be him — Aruun Naaik (@19arun92) October 22, 2019 When u drink more than enough ....and suddenly ur turn come out ðð — Rajesh Ranjan (@RajRanjan78) October 22, 2019 pic.twitter.com/zQeR4qwVPK — Krishna (@1krishnaa) October 22, 2019 Jyada laga li — VIKRAM SINGH (@vsc011) October 22, 2019 Kohli be like- pic.twitter.com/E1EJrZCj3n — Daanveer âï¸ (@daanveers) October 22, 2019 Ye darubaaj ko bolne ka dhang nhi h ye Indian cricket team ka coach h — Dark Soul (@Justice_fikri) October 22, 2019

  5. Rajkummar Rao is on a roll. With back to back hits this year, namely 'Bareilly ki Barfi' and 'Newton', this National Film Award winner is posing some serious competition to other Bollywood actors and rightly so. His phenomenal acting skills and insane dedication have earned him appreciation not only from the audience but also from critics. So much so that his last release 'Newton' has been nominated for The Academy Awards and movie buffs across the country couldn't have been happier. The actor has already starred in 5 films in 2017 alone and is back again with another one. A far cry from his serious yet quirky role in 'Newton', he makes a comeback as the boy-next-door in his upcoming movie 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana'. The actor took to his Twitter account yesterday to tease his fans with a poster of his upcoming movie, opposite Kriti Kharbanda. Here's the first look poster of #ShaadiMeinZaroorAana. Releasing on 10th November. Kuch alag hi hai ye Shaadi, kyun @kriti_official pic.twitter.com/IzCNAWIAKx — Rajkummar Rao (@RajkummarRao) October 9, 2017 And today, he bought into limelight the official trailer of the movie and honestly, we are already hooked. Here's the official trailer of #ShaadiMeinZaroorAana. Releasing on 10th November. @kriti_official https://t.co/GPMqIGxvEO — Rajkummar Rao (@RajkummarRao) October 10, 2017 The trailer starts off as just another romantic movie with various aww-worthy moments between two people hailing from a town of Uttar Pradesh. Satyendra Mishra (Rajkummar) and Aarti Shukla (Kriti) meet as a part of an “arranged” meeting and eventually fall in love. It might remind you of a ton of other Bollywood movies with similar storylines but we assure you that the similarity ends here. On the D-day, their story takes an ugly turn. It obviously wasn't revealed what exactly took place that leads to Rajkummar's character raging with vengeance but the suspense is what would compel you to watch this movie. Watch the trailer here: After 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana', Rajkummar will also be seen in Hansal Mehta's 'Omerta' and he will make his foray into the web series space with 'Bose: Dead/Alive'. Kriti Kharbanda who made a stellar debut with the 'Raaz' reboot followed by 'Guest Inn London' alongside Paresh Rawal, will be further seen in 'Karwaan', produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Akash Khurana. Directed by Ratnaa Sinha, 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana' is up for release on November 10, 2017.

  12. The ‘Kahaani 2 - Durga Rani Singh’ trailer left me flummoxed, mainly because quite a bit of the plot was given out. A woman gets knocked down by a vehicle after her daughter is kidnapped. A cop investigating the accident finds a diary written by the woman and stumbles upon her past, where she possibly murdered and kidnapped a child. Could the same child be the one she now calls her daughter? All this was covered by the film’s rather linear trailer, and left me wondering, “What did I miss?” After watching ‘Kahaani 2’, I realised that I didn’t miss anything at all. What the trailer made the film look like - a fast-paced thriller rather than a simmering mystery like its predecessor, ‘Kahaani’ - is exactly what ‘Kahaani 2’ is. The makers aren’t trying to pull a fast one on us here, like they did in the first film (showing flashbacks that eventually turned out to be fake). Instead, ‘Kahaani 2’ is a straightforward but mostly compelling film, relying more on drama than mystery. ‘Kahaani’, which released in 2012, was a taut thriller about a pregnant woman looking for her missing husband in Kolkata, which pulled the rug under audiences’ feet with a final twist. A cast led by an actor at the top of her game, memorable characters (Remember Bob Biswas?) and a gripping, slow-burn narrative kept you hooked through its 2 hour-plus runtime, ending with a revelation that few saw coming. © YouTube A sequel carries baggage with it, of either living up to or outperforming the original, and creates expectations that may have not existed earlier. ‘Kahaani 2’ suffers from being a part two of something. While the first ‘Kahaani’ benefited from the “surprise” element, the second feels weighed down by it. A lot of effort seems to have gone into writing the climax as one big plot twist (also strongly felt in ‘Te3n’, by the same team), and that disrupts the rhythm the film retains till that point. Director Sujoy Ghosh has made the sequel darker and creepier (fine work by Tapan Basu behind the camera), and ensured the tonality supplements the deeper themes his co-writers are dealing with this time around. Ritesh Shah, Suresh Nair and Ghosh keep the tension up for most part, swiftly moving between past and present and lending characters quirks that make them interesting. The third act, however, remains awkward - and even though it’s not as forgettable as it was in ‘Te3n’, it does take away a lot of the sheen. In most instances, a film is remembered by how it leaves you feeling - not necessarily due to how it ended, but based on how well the different parts fit together. The first Kahaani’s parts fit together more snugly in that sense, even though the sequel aims for more. The only element - apart from Kolkata - that the film needed to retain was, of course, Vidya Balan, who makes a fine return-to-form as actor. Balan’s had a bad run at the movies lately (for no fault of hers, of course), and in a film that does complete justice to her presence, she nails the part. In Arjun Rampal, Balan finds a dependable costar, and the actor delivers a finely-controlled, dignified performance. The supporting cast is pitch-perfect (Jugal Hansraj has never been better). Manini Chadha makes a fine debut as Rampal’s wife. Their domesticity punctuates the tension nicely. ‘Kahaani 2 - Durga Rani Singh’ is worth a watch, for its treatment and performances, but only if you don’t pin your hopes on that final kahaani mein twist. This tale could have done without one altogether.
