5 Men’s Perfumes That Smell Like Revenge & Can Make You Feel Like A Rich Man
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
It’s over! Now what? Busy plotting scenarios where you accidentally bump into your ex and are happier than them? Or are you going for a revenge body? Happens to the best of us. In my opinion, revenge body, revenge outfit and rebound relationships are old news. Upgrade yourself to revenge fragrances. Why? You lucky, lucky guy! Your ex-girlfriend borrowed from your wardrobe not because you’re better at fashion than her but because the scent in your clothes reminded her of you. Scent memory is too valuable. So don’t waste your time planning revenge whatever, move on and learn to smell like revenge with these perfumes for men. 1. Smell Like A New Man Every DayGrowth hits different when you’re thriving on pain. Create new memories every day with a new scent. This combo includes four strong and masculine fragrances you would get tired of. They’re fresh, energetic, musky and long-lasting. Full value for money. __ECOMPRODUCT__3186__ 2. MexicoYou know when you’re relaxed enough to sip margaritas in the afternoon? That’s what this baby smells like. With the top notes of bergamot, neroli and lemon, the formulation hits you wildly but soon after, the scent of rose, vetiver and musk makes you smell like a pleasant, smart and sorted guy. I’m getting an impression that you’d like it. __ECOMPRODUCT__3214__ 3. The JokerThe character of this perfume in itself is wicked. It doesn’t let your scent blend in with the crowd. Formulated with a unique concoction of cedar, cashmere wood, oakmoss, patchouli and orange blossom, The Joker offers a deep, playful and irresistible fragrance. Sounds like fruitful revenge to me. __ECOMPRODUCT__3168__ 4. Play It WildCitrus, sweet, spicy and woody—that’s exactly what wild fragrances are like, a mix of all. The overall vibe of the perfume is leathery but it all starts with the humble notes of lemon, grapefruit and nutmeg. A blend of cinnamon, blueberry, chocolate and pineapple makes the scent sweet and intoxicating right before it settles into the notes of Tonka, leather and amber. __ECOMPRODUCT__2702__ 5. David Bechkham Classic The addictive scent is inspired by the flawless, confident style of Mr Beckham. A fizzy mix of gin tonic accord, lime and galbanum give the fragrance an initial burst of effervescent freshness. From this emerges a spicy yet crisp body of cypress, nutmeg and mint that entices the senses. Finally, in the settling down into a blend of warm woody notes and elegant Ambermax. __ECOMPRODUCT__3215__ The BottomlineThere’s a revenge perfume for each personality and while working on yourself is one of the best ideas after a breakup, adding a confident scent to your grooming list only makes you stand stronger. So find your revenge fragrance now. Explore More View the full article -
Is men’s jewellery already a part of your wardrobe? If not, we’d like to share an update: Jewellery has taken a prominent place in menswear. And we’re not just talking trends on the runway, we mean serious business that extends to all sorts of celebs—Bollywood, Tollywood, Hollywood, sports. Men’s jewellery is no more a “thing” yogis and rappers wear, it’s boardroom material baby. If you’re shy, then work your way up slowly from the easiest pieces to work into your rotation. 1. Metal ChainIndian men have worn fine gold chains for the longest time. If you’re ready to move on to something a little more advanced, a bit more trendy, might we suggest going in the direction Ranveer Singh and Hardik Pandya are taking us with their obsession for metallic chains? It has a beachy-cool vibe. So let it show when you’re playing the style god. For formal settings, button up. Such is the beauty of a necklace. __ECOMPRODUCT__3176__ 2. Beaded BraceletWhat we like about beaded bracelets is that they’re versatile and stackable. The bigger the stack, the cooler the dude (to a limit, of course). While the style fully complements the attitude of a good boy, it also supports the vibe of a bad boy. Ask Munna Tripathi of Mirzapur if you have any doubts here! __ECOMPRODUCT__3205__ 3. Hoop EarringsIf you’re a die hard fan of a boy band, you might already have a pierced ear. Fandom makes you follow the craziest stuff, but dare I say this might actually be one of the sexiest trends men can follow. Time to revisit the piercing because hoop earrings are easier to pull off. They’re just the right amount of wild—not too rock, not too soft. A discreet piece of jewellery you can use to toughen up your overall appearance. __ECOMPRODUCT__3206__ 4. Silver Bracelet Silver bracelets, whether worn with formals or casual tees, are always badass and stylish. A simple chain-like bracelet resembling Salman Khan’s jewellery can also be flattering. It makes your hand appear more slender. That’s metal magic for you. __ECOMPRODUCT__3179__ 5. Rocker RingA rock’n’roll ring adds to your look what your entire outfit can’t—definition. It looks elegant with formals and even better with shirts and shorts. With this one, try not to create a contrast. It’s a badass piece of jewellery that looks attractive even on a humble guy. Wear it with pride, we’d say. __ECOMPRODUCT__3207__ The BottomlineStart incorporating these super safe and super stylish pieces of men’s jewellery in your look. They’re the right fit for men who wish to see a major upgrade in their style. Explore More View the full article

The official broadcasters for all the Indian cricket matches taking place at the moment have been based on social media platforms for not making creative or interesting advertisements to promote women’s cricket in the cricket-crazy nation. On Friday, the broadcasters shared a tweet updating the fans about the upcoming clash between India and Pakistan at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022. The India-Pakistan rivalry is something every cricket fan looks forward to and it has been historically proven to be a great crowd puller. Mark your 'coz it's time for #INDvPAK at the ICC #CWC22! Join us in cheering for #TeamIndia as they look to history with #Mission2022! Mar 6, 6:30 AM | Star Sports 2/2HD/3 & Disney+Hotstar#WomenInBlue pic.twitter.com/Hx8d5JBL0I — Star Sports (@StarSportsIndia) February 25, 2022 And still, all they managed to share on Twitter was a video clearly prepared in a hurry with a simple background narration talking about the match, its timing and the tournament. There were no creative advertisements, no promos involving any of the Indian women cricketers or even a slideshow of their previous encounters. On the other hand, if this would have been a contest between the men’s cricket teams of India and Pakistan, the rivalry would have had a whole ad campaign surrounding it and the ‘Mauka Mauka’ guys would have been back (even though India lost the previous T20 World Cup encounter against Pakistan last year, so unsure of whether or not it will still be relevant now). Yes, it is true that men’s cricket attracts a lot more eyeballs than women’s cricket does and therefore it is a practical decision to film high-end commercials featuring male cricketers as that would be more profitable to the company. However, as broadcasters, they should also be focused on bringing more people to watch the match on television, if not to increase the awareness of women’s cricket then to simply boost their viewership during the match. Nobody is expecting a massive commercial out of the women’s World Cup (which is a shame in itself, really) but to create such a lazy “Mark Your Calendar” type of post for an India-Pakistan World Cup is exactly why Indian cricket fans were upset and called the broadcasters out for it: Cringe promos for bilateral series in Men's Cricket. Substandard work which shows clear lack of interest for Women's Cricket match in World Cup. We have a confession to make: It was a weird time to focus on fashion. When it comes to a man finally getting his dues, Mayank Agarwal’s story makes for a brilliant case study. After thriving in the Indian domestic cricket circuit for years, the batter finally got his shot to play for the country back in December 2018 when the Indian squad were touring Australia for a Test match series. Ever since the journey has not been as rosy as the 30-year old cricketer would have liked it to be. Injuries and the cutthroat competition among some of the greatest batters in the world who are constantly contesting for the eleven spots in the Indian squad have kept him switching in and out of the team. View this post on Instagram But if there is one thing that the fans of the Indian cricket team can be absolutely sure of, it’s the fact that Agarwal can be trusted to bounce back and give a performance to remind people why he was picked in the first place. After playing a crucial role in helping Virat Kohli’s side win the Test series against New Zealand 1-0 while scoring over 200 runs by himself in the second match (150 and 62 in the first and second innings, respectively) Mayank Agarwal spoke to MensXP about his current state of mind, his physical fitness, and most importantly, the need for the world to become more accepting of men being able to show their emotions without being judged. View this post on Instagram How do you manage the pressure when you know that Indian cricketers get only a certain number of chances to perform and prove themselves? Well, I think very honestly, it's just a dream of representing the country. You know having the opportunity to win matches for your country, is something that, that really gets me going. That's my motivation factor. Do you like being on social media? Do the negative tweets get to you sometimes? I am a little shy. You won't really see me out there (online) as much. But I think social media is important. It helps you connect to different people, obviously, especially in these times, you don't actually have an opportunity to go and meet everyone. View this post on Instagram Obviously, it does come with a few disadvantages. I don't actually sit and read through all of it (negative comments on Twitter). But yeah, if you come across something like that, you just take it in stride. Everyone's got an opinion and social media actually allows you to share your opinion on a public platform. You actually have no choice but to move on. Do you have days when all your efforts feel worthless? What’s the secret to getting out of such negativity? Definitely. I'm not just talking from my perspective. I think all of us face that. It's never going to be rosy throughout. It's not always going to be nice. That's just how life is and that's how I look at it. But more importantly, when you are going through those times, I believe that you have to keep your goal in mind. View this post on Instagram You must have an understanding of what you're going towards, what you want to achieve. Especially in cricket know, as a batsman, you fail more often than you succeed. Be very stubborn about your goals. Accept the fact that you're going to have bad days. Everyone has bad days, and just be relentless in achieving the good ones. So, stubbornness is a good quality to have sometimes? You could call it stubbornness, or you could call it relentlessness. But it's just the fact that you are working towards something. Obviously, the tough times do teach you a lot. So, in those days you want to be actually just looking to improve yourself. You won’t see a massive improvement in a day. Maybe a one per cent improvement, day after day after day. But when you look back one year down the line, you will be amazed. And that makes a massive difference. View this post on Instagram Are you equally relentless when it comes to achieving physical fitness? A lot of people are looking for a shortcut (to become fit), which I don't believe will last very long. Fitness is a lifestyle. It's not a destination that you reach there and then you just sit back and say ‘Oh, wow, I reached my goal’. If you do that, you will just kind of fall back it's going to hurt you again. When it comes to weight loss, a lot of people are looking at very short term goals. They are trying all sorts of fastings and want to see their fat gone in 21 days. You haven't put on weight in just 21 days. It's taken you these many years to put on the kind of weight you put on. At least give yourself half the time to become as healthy as you used to be. View this post on Instagram Do you have a bad habit that you are secretly trying to get over at the moment? Definitely, I have a lot of bad habits. That's just a work in progress, I guess. I just eat a lot of junk food so that's a big bad habit. Also, I think I spend a little extra time not being as productive as I could be. Maybe watching Netflix a lot longer than I should be doing. But as a person, I just understand that we have to be accepting that we do make mistakes, and we all not going to be perfect. If we can just look to improve those little things day in day out, we will be better people at the end of the year or two years. Have you ever felt overworked or being too harsh on yourself? A lot of my friends tell me that ‘Mayank you are being too harsh on yourself,’ but that’s my personality. I'm very intense when it comes to my profession. Very honestly, I have to accept the fact that these are the things that have also helped me get better. By being that extra critical of myself, I push myself to work that much harder. View this post on Instagram When you are off for months on an international tour, do you ever feel really homesick? Very honestly, I have never felt homesick. As a person, I love travelling, I could live off a suitcase so that that works to my advantage (laughs). But yes, when you're away from home for a long, long period of time, you do miss it and your family. Do you think that we’re still living in an era where men must hide their emotions in society? The world has changed and I must say it has changed for the better. I think all of us, whether you're male or female, everyone has emotions. Everyone goes through those emotions and it's very important to share them and would you share that with completely depends on whoever you're comfortable with. View this post on Instagram It's not about ‘you versus the world’. You will definitely find people with whom you have a comfort zone and with who you want to share your emotions. And I think it's great that if you can let out those emotions, it just makes you feel a lot lighter. I've gone through some tough times. I've been sad. I've been frustrated with results not coming. Those are the times when I make sure I speak a lot more with my family. I'm very close to my mother. It's not that she's going to give me a solution. But just being heard is a nice feeling. I've had my moments when I've not had great success on the field, and I have turned back to my family and luckily, they've always been there for me. View this post on Instagram How can men feel more comfortable in expressing their emotions more openly in the society? I think people just have to be empathetic… just listen without actually judging someone. If somebody shares a certain emotion, somebody shares a certain story, you don't have to actually sit back and judge them for it. it's just an emotion, you have to just let it pass. And I think if people are willing to listen a lot more and be less judgmental, the world will definitely become a better place. View the full article

Do you love your shoes? Sneakers? Boots? Oxfords? Then, you can’t just throw them in the washing machine, cross your fingers and hope for the best. And no, just rubbing the dust off with a dirty cloth or a brush isn’t acceptable either. via GIPHY Machine wash is only good for your canvas sneakers. Even with those, you can expect the quality of your shoes to degrade or their colour to fade. Leather, mesh and suede need more care to stay young and shiny. It’s not tough to keep men’s shoes in tip-top condition but you do need to put a little time and effort into it. Here’s how it’s done. How To Clean SneakersFirst up, remove any caked-on dirt by knocking the soles together. Use a microfiber cloth to remove the excess mud. Now, start spot cleaning. For sneakers, you can use Helios Super Sneaker Cleaner.Avoid using water or wipes. Instead, try dabbing white vinegar on any noticeable stains or scuffs. If that doesn’t make your sneakers sparkle, move to the deep clean stage. Remove the laces and insoles. Take warm water and add a mild detergent to it.Add a few drops of dish wash soap or shampoo. Use the brush to gently scrub the surface to form lather.Use a towel to remove the excess water. You can wash the laces in your washing machine. If they’re frayed, replace them with fresh ones. After air-drying your sneakers, store them in your shoe closet or a box, preferable away from the sunlight. __ECOMPRODUCT__2839__ How To Clean Leather Shoes & BootsRemove the laces from your shoes and throw them in the washing machine if they’re dirty.Use a soft cloth or a brush to clean dirt and debris that may be stuck to the shoe’s leather surfaces. Make a solution of warm water and dish soap. Take a soft cloth and dip it into the mix. Wring it out and wipe the surface of the shoe to remove tough stains.Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe off the soap. Towel dry your shoes. Apply leather polish to protect it from stains and add shine. Let your shoes or boots dry in the open air. Avoid putting them in the sun or by a heater. This may cause the leather to fade or crack.__ECOMPRODUCT__2840__ How To Clean Suede ShoesPut a crumpled paper inside the shoes before cleaning so they can hold their shape. Use a soft, clean towel to rub the dirt off. Avoid rubbing too vigorously as suede is a delicate material.Remember to rub in the direction of the grain of your suede shoes.Use a hardy suede brush to restore your shoes. Doing so regularly will revitalise your suede shoes instantly. It can also help you get rid of light stains and deep cleaning. Coat your shoes with a finishing spray. It’ll protect your work and make your suede waterproof.__ECOMPRODUCT__1430__ How To Clean White Canvas ShoesRemove the shoelaces.Fill up a bucket with lukewarm water and 1 cup of baking soda.Add a drop of laundry detergent. Soak your shoes and laces in the bucket for an hour.Take them out and use a brush to scrub the stains away.Place them somewhere cool and dry, away from the direct sunlight.__ECOMPRODUCT__1276__ How To Clean Mesh ShoesUse a soft shoe brush to gently scrub away the dirt. Be sure to maintain a softer degree of pressure than you might use for a heavier material like leather.Take a mixture of warm water and a gentle laundry detergent. The consistency shouldn’t be too sticky. Avoid bleaching agents while cleaning white or light-coloured mesh shoes. It can cause discolouration and damage the material.Apply the cleaning solution using a soft cloth. Use the brush if you’re dealing with a stubborn stain.Keep a bowl of clean warm water to rinse the cloth if the stains are many. You don’t want the stain to spread due to dirty cloth.Use a clean cloth to remove the excess soap and water. Avoid dunking the shoes in water.Place them in a cool, dry spot, away from direct sunlight. Let them be until they are fully dry.Coat your shoes with the invisible layer of Vetro Power Footwear Protection to keep them from staining again. A single application will protect your shoes for 12-18 months, depending on the usage.__ECOMPRODUCT__2841__ Now that you know how to clean your shoes, no matter the material, make sure your shoe rack is in tip-top condition. The second ODI between the Indian and the Australian women’s team ended on a rather controversial note when the final delivery of the match was adjudged a no-ball by the third umpire when the evidence wasn’t substantial enough. The Women in Blue were already celebrating after Aussie batter Nicole Carey hit Indian veteran Jhulan Goswami’s full toss towards the square leg as the hosts needed three runs from the final ball to win the match. Tried my best to see if the no ball call was right. Picture on the left is Carey facing up for the last ball (waist blue line) Picture on the right is point of impact. Red line shows she is bent. Question is was the ball dipping enough? Plus my lines may not be exact science pic.twitter.com/MLq5fVfxhM — Lisa Sthalekar (@sthalekar93) September 24, 2021 However, the on-field umpire signaled for a potential no-ball while suspecting the height at which the full toss was delivered and felt that it was an illegal delivery because the ball might have been above Carey’s waist. The decision was sent upstairs and the final verdict came out against the touring side. As a result, the Australians were awarded an extra run, a free-hit, and an additional delivery. With just two runs required on the final ball and the protection of not getting caught-out, Goswami’s final ‘final’ ball was sent for a double, allowing the hosts to win the match by five wickets, while extending their undefeated streak to 26 matches. Here are the original photos….tried to measure the blue from stump height and put it on the next photo. pic.twitter.com/XH4UtLOW5a — Lisa Sthalekar (@sthalekar93) September 24, 2021 After the match was over, it did not take long for Indian fans to be livid all over the internet, expressing the lack of justification behind such a controversial decision, especially because of the fact that Carey was bending way below her standing position and that her waist-line would have been above the height at which the ball was delivered if she was standing upright - which is the right way to judge the legality of the delivery. Here’s how the fans reacted: This Aus team is the greatest cricket team of all time. Comparable to Lloyd or Pontings team. Lannings team is even better! That’s why it hurts that much more. The Indians will feel crestfallen. If there is a chance, and there is clearly, please eliminate chances of controversy. — Boria Majumdar (@BoriaMajumdar) September 24, 2021No ball, always hurts pic.twitter.com/MWVlzUSLg4 — Pradeep Vijay (@bowlers_hate_me) September 24, 2021WOW. Just WOW what a freaking game!!! Sheesh. Just a quick one though - doesn’t two above the waist no balls mean you’re out of the attack!? Anyways. Wow. Proud. #AUSvIND — Megan Schutt (@megan_schutt) September 24, 2021This wasn't a no ball, she was bent so much #AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/6XKo4HYeXY — Praveen kholwal (@Praveenkholwal3) September 24, 2021#AusvsInd #NotNoball I am sure that last ball would not have been a no ball in men's game. Third umpire wouldn't dare to give such a horrendous call in the presence of Virat Kohli. pic.twitter.com/6XfeoSJpC7 — nagalla pruthvi (@nagallapruthvi) September 24, 2021 However, Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana tried to water down the controversy around the incident after the match was over and India had lost. "We have not really seen the ball yet as a team. We were out there on the field, so it is very hard to judge if it was a waist-high no-ball or not. It is too early for us to call, we have to see the ball and we will have a look at it. "When these things go in your favour, you are really happy but would not add up to the controversy. I have seriously not looked at the ball yet," Mandhana said during the post-match media interaction. View the full article

As the days of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 wage on, the Indian platoon has been putting their best foot forward to bring home as many medals as they can. And after a long and arduous campaign, the Indian Men’s National Team finally won a place on the coveted podium, marking a proud moment in our nation’s sporting history. Here are 5 reasons why the Indian Men’s Hockey Team bronze medal is just the start of something incredible: 1. Olympic Medal For Indian Men's Hockey After 41 YearsIn a fiercely contested 5-4 win over Germany, the Indian Men’s Hockey Team won the nation its first Olympic medal in 41 years. The last time the national team had placed on the podium was in 1980, where they won gold. Medal Dedicated To Covid Frontline Warriors © Twitter /manpreetpawar07 With emotions at an all-time high, captain Manpreet Singh dedicated this victory to doctors and frontline health workers in India. He said, "I don't know what to say right now, it was fantastic. The effort, the game, we were 3-1 down. I think we deserve this medal. We have worked so hard, the last 15 months were difficult for us also, we were in Bangalore and some of us got COVID also." "We would like to dedicate this medal to doctors and frontline health workers who have saved so many lives in India," he added. 3. Determined All The Way Most athletes give up when they realize they won’t be playing for gold anymore, not our boys though. Despite a 2-5 loss to Belgium in the semifinals that dented their hopes of a gold medal, the team fought valiantly to earn their spot on the podium. The fire in this team’s belly kept them going. They loved hockey, but they had stopped hoping that we would win. But we won today. They can expect more from us in the future. Keep believing in us.” exclaims Rupinder Pal Singh, the tenacious fullback. It is indeed a reminder of India’s decorated past in this sport, and that the game has only just begun for a new breed of Indian hockey. Coming from a humble family, where my elder brother who was a former state-level Hockey player, had to sacrifice his career in sports. He also had to leave his education midway to opt for a marginal job to support our father financially, so that I could pursue Hockey. 1/10 pic.twitter.com/LoFSpziuOU — Hockey India (@TheHockeyIndia) June 26, 2021 In the pursuit of an Olympic medal, the Indian Men’s Hockey Team won our hearts as well, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. Indian men’s hockey team ended their 41-year old wait for an Olympic medal as they defeated Germany 5-4 in an exhilarating match to clinch the bronze medal at Tokyo 2020. Before this, India’s last Olympic medal in Hockey came more than four decades ago when they finished on top of the podium at the 1980 Moscow Games. © Twitter/VP Secretariat Indian players knew how big of a match it was and they played as if their lives depended on it and produced perhaps their best performances of the tournament and ended their Olympic medal drought. Brilliant in Blue Congratulations Indian Men’s #Hockey Team on the spectacular victory to give us an Olympic medal after 41 long years. This historic win at #Tokyo2020 will inspire generation of sportspersons. All the very best for future. #Cheer4India @thehockeyindia — Naveen Patnaik (@Naveen_Odisha) August 5, 2021 Germany, known for their defensive structure, began the match with high intensity, thinking to take India by surprise and to some extent, succeeded in doing that, with Timur Oruz breaking the deadlock in the second minute of the opening quarter. Simranjeet Singh scored the equaliser to pull things back but the Germans continued playing with their high tempo and pounced on two defensive errors by Indian players and scored two quick goals to go 3-1 up. © Twitter/We Are Team India But from there on something clicked and Indian players took charge of the game and finished the quarter with the scores level at 3-3. India scored two more goals in the third quarter to take a two-goal lead for the first time in the match and then closed out the match in the final with their astute defending. People were crushed when the Indian men’s hockey team had failed to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Games and couldn’t win a single game four years later in Rio and finished last in their group. But this win has definitely proved every critic wrong and began a new chapter in the history of Indian hockey. © Twitter/Ritu Phogat In a cricket-mad country like India, other sports never get the kind of limelight they deserve but such wins would help change this trend and inspire the next generation of players to take up hockey sticks and become a professional. Describing the achievement as historic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this victory would remain etched in the memory of every Indian fan in every corner of the world. Historic! A day that will be etched in the memory of every Indian. Congratulations to our Men’s Hockey Team for bringing home the Bronze. With this feat, they have captured the imagination of the entire nation, especially our youth. India is proud of our Hockey team. — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) August 5, 2021 “Historic! Virat Kohli’s revelation about battling depression will hopefully open a lot of doors for men to start having conversations about mental health. In a society that stigmatizes mental health, whenever a celebrity has spoken about their struggles with depression and anxiety, it, at least, normalizes mental health issues. But still, we are miles away from making it as normal as physical ailments. Virat Kohli strongly feels that professional help on the mental-health front should be a part of team set-ups ⤵ — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) February 19, 2021 Depression is a debilitating illness which is extremely underreported. At times, it’s manifested and processed differently in genders. Men usually report symptoms of anger, irritation and isolation, which may not be typical symptoms and may not be recognized as depression. Dial in the deeply ingrained notions of toxic masculinity, and you’ll have even lesser men reporting feeling low. So often on my couch, men share their fears of asking for support when they struggle lest they are seen as failures. And nowhere do we see this more than in hyper-competitive sports. It’s a testosterone-driven arena, where, to be seen as dominant and aggressive, is rewarded. In the culture of sports, sportsmen often see losses as personal failures and inadequacies, and a lot of them see only winning as a goal. This puts the pressure of a lot of expectations on them to succeed in every match they play. And if you are leading a team, one can very well imagine the stress the person has to go through. It’s bound to get ‘lonely’ at the top where to be seen as vulnerable is to believe that you are weak which in turn, results in even fewer men seeking help. Virat Kohli on Glenn Maxwell, who is on a break from cricket for mental health reasons. pic.twitter.com/0YbJEmcUKV — ICC (@ICC) November 13, 2019 One of the most overlooked issues, I feel, is mental health of sportsmen or athletes. Due to the competitive nature of sports, many of them can carry the risk of depression. When they encounter their own fears and emotional struggles, most men tend to disguise the feelings of vulnerability, confusion, shame. And with that comes isolation and loneliness which could lead to depression. According to psychologists men maintain “side to side” friendships i.e they bond over things like sports, working out together. Most turn towards their male friends for factual advice which is more pragmatic. Very rarely do they speak about their deep emotional troubles or even sometimes don’t have the language to express their vulnerabilities. One of the best solutions is to talk about it “face to face” and ask for support from a mental health professional. The importance of awareness cannot be stressed more. Ravindra Jadeja certainly made an impact on Day 2 of the third Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy at the Sydney Cricket Ground with his bowling and fielding prowess. However, the guy seems to be making fans Down Under with his grooming as well. Freelance presenter, journalist and commentator Melinda Farrell went on Twitter to voice her astute observation about the ongoing Test match between the two cricketing giants in Sydney, more specifically, that about Jadeja. One more important thing about Jadeja that I've observed this series. He now has the best hair in men's international cricket. I feel very strongly about this. Don't @ me. Unless you agree, of course. #AUSvIND — Melinda Farrell (@melindafarrell) January 8, 2021 “One more important thing about Jadeja that I've observed this series. He now has the best hair in men's international cricket. I feel very strongly about this,” she tweeted. Her followers and some other fans of the game happened to agree with her: Not just hair, his beard too. His beard is best than his hair!! — Danny (@Ddnyana) January 8, 2021Every Indian to sir Jadeja pic.twitter.com/mQlOuriACZ — Shrikant (@MrShrikantK413) January 8, 2021haha I second you, in fact I was furious when someone tweeted he needs a haircut — AK (@rwamit) January 8, 2021One thing about Jadeja we all know. He would agree he has the best hair. — Chris Bingham (@binghach) January 8, 2021Belongs in a beach hut somewhere. Magnificent stuff — Oliver Jones (@oliverjones1988) January 8, 2021Ravindra Jadeja was clearly the best player in the Indian squad during Australia’s first batting innings. Having gone wicket-less on Day 1, the all-rounder scalped four of them on Friday followed by a staggering run-out to dismiss Steve Smith and wrap up their batting lineup for a total of 337. Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle described Jadeja as a ‘three dimensional player’ and could not have been more accurate. We have already seen his brilliance with the ball and on the field. Given his form with the bat in limited-overs cricket for the country during the Australia tour, he is expected to play a key role in India’s attempt to go 2-1 for the series. View the full article

5 Men’s Fashion & Grooming Myths That Don't Belong To An Inclusive World
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
We were all brought up in a pool of myths and misconceptions. And it is no surprise how our conscience kept pushing us to question each one of them, like why can’t we wash our hair on Tuesdays and Thursdays or cut our nails at night. While we stood up to these in the comfort of our home and developed our own little tricks to escape the superstition, some fashion and grooming myths made life troublesome on a global level, particularly for men. Needless to say, these fashion myths and grooming misconceptions are no good for an inclusive world. __ECOMLOOKS__2048__ __ECOMLOOKS__2049__ __ECOMLOOKS__2052__ __ECOMLOOKS__2054__ __ECOMLOOKS__2057__ The BottomlineTaking advice from the world is a smart move but one should also have the liberty to choose his own style. Let us know in the comment section if you feel there are some more fashion and grooming myths to stop believing in. Explore More View the full article -
As a designer, Amit Wadhwa is one of the younger men’s wear designers that you should be looking out for. He has managed to strike a perfect and perhaps, the right balance between tradition and modernity. © Amit Wadhwa His minimalist designs have found a fan in the likes of Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kartik Aaryan and many others, who know what proper fashion and style entail. We caught up with him and had a free-flowing chat about men’s fashion in India. Edited excerpts: © Amit Wadhwa 1. As a fairly young member of the Indian Fashion industry, how would you say the industry has grown over the years? As I could recall, when I was in college we used to read about international designers and how they had started their brand and what they achieved. I used to wonder why there were no Indian designer brands which made their mark internationally. Now, though, I see Indian designer brands with international acclaim. Three Indian designers have won the international wool mark prize, which is the most prestigious award in our industry. So, we have come a long way. © Amit Wadhwa 2. Tell us something about AW, your label. AW is an amalgamation of Indian crafts & modern aesthetics. The label ushers towards creating a fusion of fashion culture through embracing the hues of handmade designs within contemporary grace. 3. What direction do you see the industry taking, as a whole? As an industry, we are becoming aware of the ways we can apply in our work to create conscious clothing which is harmless to our surroundings. Sustainability has become the most important part of our working conditions. © Amit Wadhwa 4. Your creations tend to be very fluid and an amalgamation of classic silhouettes with contemporary and modern aesthetics. Where do you draw your inspiration from? I always take inspiration from the past. I believe that somewhere in the modernization we have lost the true essence of craftsmanship. © Amit Wadhwa 5. What would you say has been the biggest shift in the industry as a response to the pandemic? We have become responsible in the way we think and do things. We have started adopting new ways to create and present it to the audience. And as we all could witness, there is a sudden shift to the digital world. © Amit Wadhwa 6. How have you, as a designer and as a label owner, responded to the pandemic? As a designer, I was very calm when it all started. I started exploring other things/activities which I really enjoy apart from designing. But when I got to know how hard it is for the people who work for us to survive in these conditions, as a label owner, we started working twice as hard to make it normal for all of them. 7. How do you think the industry, as a whole, is dealing with this issue of sustainable and “eco-friendly” fashion, especially now? As a whole, we are not only dealing with it but we are fighting with it as I could notice a lot of young brands creating sustainable garments and being conscious at every step. We are exploring different ways of doing the production which is harmless to our surroundings and the good part is that we are sharing it with each other so that we all could adapt it. © Amit Wadhwa 8. What are your views on the debate around Maximalism vis-a-vis Minimalism? We are a minimalist brand and we believe that you can create maximum effect with minimal detail. © Amit Wadhwa 9. Where do you think men’s fashion in India is heading? Men's fashion in India is now more than just a straight kurta and classic bandhgala. We can now see men being conscious about picking different colours for different occasions, trying different silhouettes and ditching classic suits to wear something unconventional. I believe that in the coming years, we will see a lot of style variations in men's wear. Men's fashion in India slipped through the cracks of the mainstream fashion scene and has stayed under the radar for far too long. Take a look at any fashion event - fashion weeks, fashion shows et all, and you'll see how in most of them, menswear seems to be an afterthought. Furthermore, shows focussing exclusively on menswear are a rarity. As a series, 'Ace Indian Designers' is an earnest attempt to celebrate the changing phase of men's fashion in India, and those pioneering geniuses who have come to define our sartorial sensibilities.
