  7. WhatsApp has released a bevy of features in the last few months and it looks like we're getting more. If the reports are something to go by, then it looks like WhatsApp will soon be releasing a new feature that'll allow its users to send messages that disappear after some time. This new feature is said to be in the works and it is expected to arrive in the next few days. It has been explained by WhatsApp in a new FAQ page on its website. "You can send messages that disappear on WhatsApp by enabling disappearing messages. Once enabled, new messages sent in the individual or group chat will disappear after seven days," the page says. © Reuters WhatsApp isn't the first chat app to enable disappearing messages. We already have a ton of apps that does it. Snapchat, for instance, is one of them. At times, this feature comes super handy, although we doubt if it'll be used by a lot of people often. It's also worth pointing out that we're not sure if we get to set the time for which the message will be visible or is it something that's fixed. That being said, WhatsApp did specify that a message will not disappear after a set period of time if it is forwarded to a chat with the disappearing message disabled. © Reuters Although the feature isn't available yet, WhatsApp has made it a point to explain how it works. To send a disappearing message, all you have to do is tap on the contact's name and select the disappearing message option. You'll then be able to toggle the option there. 9. Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts is known to be a sucker for hiding easter eggs in his movies which made us, the nerdy kind, so much more invested in searching for those hidden references so relentlessly. Here are five secret messages hidden in car license plates throughout Spider-Man: Far From Home: 1. Foreshadowing The Sand Elemental © Columbia Pictures In the initial minutes of the film in which Nick Fury and Maria Hill are examining a wrecked site in Mexico, they pass by a car completely destroyed but with the license plate clearly visible, which read 463 GA-ON. © Marvel Comics It is a reference to the Amazing Spider-Man comic book issue number 4 which came out in 1963 (4-63). This was the issue in which bad guy Sandman was introduced. Director Watts put this number plate in this scene to foreshadow the introduction of the sand elemental we later find out was just a fake design by Mysterio. 2. Introduction Of Hydro-Man © Columbia Pictures When Peter Parker’s class is in Venice and are on a boat just moments before they come across the water elemental, another boat passes by and its license plate shows ASM 212 © Marvel Comics This was a hint towards the Amazing Spider-Man Issue 212, which introduces Hydro-Man. 3. Here Comes The Molten Man: © Columbia Pictures When the school kids move away from Venice to Prague, where Fury hands over the infamous ‘Spider-Monkey’ costume to Parker, you can see Maria Hill driving a black sedan with a number plate ASM 28965. © Marvel Comics This was a reference to the Amazing Spider-Man issue number 28 which was released in September (9th month of the year) in 1965. This issue was also the introduction of the Molten Man, a character similar to the fire elemental they have to later deal with in the capital of the Czech Republic. 4. Fury-Parker Duo: © Columbia Pictures MTU 83779 is the number plate of the car in which Nick Fury picks up Peter before the film moves towards the third and final act of the film. © Marvel Comics These digits signify the Marvel Team Up, issue 83 which was released in July 1979, in which Fury and Spidey can be seen working together, just like they do at the end. 5. The First Kiss: © Columbia Pictures Finally, the moment when Peter tells MJ how he truly feels and the two share a kiss, an inverted car by their side shows the number plate: TASM 143. © Marvel Comics This refers to The Amazing Spider-Man, issue 143, in which the wall-crawler faces Cyclone, similar to the air/wind elemental that takes over London. It also happens to be the issue in which Parker and MJ kiss for the first time. Note: The article is inspired by the phenomenal work done by New Rockstars. Check out their content here. 11. WhatsApp has already done a lot in the past to curb the spread of fake news on its platform. But sadly, it looks like nothing can stop these fake forwarded messages that we come across on various groups. And now that the coronavirus pandemic is affecting countries all over the world, it's crucial to curb the spread of fake news. Well, in an effort to limit fake news, WhatsApp is introducing a new limit on forwarding messages, making it a lot more difficult or rather tedious to forward messages. © Reuters With this new limit in place, users can now forward a message to only one chat at a time. WhatsApp will automatically detect if/when you forward a particular message more than 5 times and limit you from forwarding that to more users at a time. WhatsApp is using metadata to identify the number of times a message has been forwarded, so there's nothing to worry about them going through your messages. Here's what WhatsApp says in its blog post - "However, weâve seen a significant increase in the amount of forwarding which users have told us can feel overwhelming and can contribute to the spread of misinformation. We believe itâs important to slow the spread of these messages down to keep WhatsApp a place for personal conversations." © Reuters This particular feature will join the existing efforts of the company to curb fake news. Back in 2018, WhatsApp began labeling forwarded messages when things started getting out of hands. We're glad that WhatsApp is constantly on the lookout for ways to make things better and improve its apps. In case you missed it, you can simply use WhatsApp to get accurate and prompt info about Coronavirus from WHO. More of such cool features, please! Source: WhatsApp View the full article

  13. It's been two years since Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married and their love has only grown stronger with each passing day. They got married on December 11, 2017, in Italy, in the presence of close friends and family members, in a gorgeous ceremony. Today, the couple is celebrating their second wedding anniversary and the two have shared photos from their wedding album that speak volumes of the love they have for each other. Virat shared a picture wherein he is seen planting a kiss on Anushka's forehead and wrote, “In reality, there is only love and nothing else. And when God blesses you with the person who makes you realise that every day, you have just one feeling, gratitude.” View this post on Instagram In reality there is only love and nothing else. It's Anushka's message for her love that caught our attention as it reads, “To love another person is to see the face of God” -Victor Hugo The thing about love is that it's not just a feeling, it's much more than that. It's a guide, a propeller, a path to the absolute truth. And I am blessed, truly, wholly blessed, to have found it.” View this post on Instagram "To love another person is to see the face of God" -Victor Hugo The thing about love is that it's not just a feeling , it's much more than that . And I am blessed , truly , wholly blessed, to have found it â¤ï¸ ð A post shared by AnushkaSharma1588 (@anushkasharma) on Dec 10, 2019 at 8:27pm PST Virat and Anushka's love story does look dreamy but it had its own set of struggles that came in the form of trolls. Whenever Virat used to perform badly on the field, Anushka had to take the brunt of the cricket fans. But he has always made sure that he was his wife's shield. On the other hand, Anushka had always made sure that she is around him whenever he feels off-track. The two have grown stronger with each other and Virat always gives credit to his ladylove for keeping him level-headed. Ever since their wedding, Virushka, as their fans address them fondly, has been sharing several photos, as they don't shy away in expressing their love for each other on social media. Recently, the two took a week-long trip to Bhutan to celebrate Virat's 31st birthday. They spent their time in the country enjoying its scenic beauty and mesmerizing locations. 16. We all thought we had seen it all, when it comes to Ranveer Singh and statement pieces of clothing . But the thing is, he still surprises us - consistently so - and that is precisely the thing that makes him the fashion king of Bollywood. You might love what he wears, or hate it - but you sure as hell can't ignore it. If that's not the best way of making a statement, we don't know what is. Case in point: A very special outfit Ranveer wore in Berlin for the promotion of 'Gully Boy'. Not that any outfit he wears isn't 'special enough', but the one we're talking about hands down qualifies as the quirkiest outfit ever - even by 'Ranveer standards'. Before we delve deeper into why it counts as a fashion masterpiece, take a look at it. © Manish Arora When we saw it, our jaws had hit the floor as well. 'What IS that?' - was the natural response. But then, because we're more or less used to Ranveer's many sartorial eccentricities, we collected ourselves and patiently looked beyond the candyfloss hued 'magical unicorn fur'. Did you say Unicorns are not real? We thought so too till we saw this. © Manisharorafashion The jacket is a custom-made piece by the uber-talented quirkmaster Manish Arora, who had earlier designed the glow-in-the-dark wedding party outfit for Ranveer . This one here is a special creation for the movie 'Gully Boy'. © Manish Arora "Anyone who is unconventional be in fashion or music or film, they make it to success because they believe in themselves. Only then will the world believe in them. This jacket is a culmination of these ideas. It's an association with my days of struggle. It's unconventional and just like anyone who has made it in life despite the odds, much like the character Ranveer is playing in Gully Boy. The jacket symbolizes freedom, a reminder that we are rare and our own heroes" - Mr Arora wrote in an instagram post while explaining the inspiration behind the jacket. © Manish Arora The jacket contains quirky messages throughout, sewn in dramatically, like playful bursts of fairy dust in between the thick, silky fur of an unicorn running around through clouds. © Manish Arora The back of the jacket takes the cake, where it says 'Believe in yourself', along with rainbows, glitter, and two multicoloured unicorns embroidered with perfection. © Manish Arora There are 13 messages of self-belief sewn across the jacket, that owe their origin to the character of Ranveer in the movie 'Gully Boy', as well as Manish Arora's unconventional story of success. Some of the messages are "I love my life", "Dream", "Be here now", "It's a sign", and "What you seek is seeking you". View this post on Instagram A post shared by manish arora (@manisharorafashion) on Feb 9, 2019 at 8:16am PST Talk about clothes that turn heads, as well as inspire. Kudos, Ranveer and Manish!
  17. Ever feel like wearing clothes that featured all the savage things you've been feeling like saying out loud? We all have, at some point. The feeling associated with wearing a piece of clothing that puts people in their place, without you having to say anything out loud, is beautiful, to say the least. It might put you in trouble in social situations (and definitely at work), but it's totally worth it (you know you agree). Designers Viktor and Rolf clearly feel the same, because they just showcased an incredible collection at the Paris Fashion Week, featuring the kind of messages you always wanted to yell across the meeting room at work. Here are 12 pictures from the collection that will definitely give you some sartorial inspiration. (Some DIY graffiti T-shirts, probably?) 1. 18. Looks like tech gods of all social media platforms have realised the power of 'unsending' a message and following the suit of Whatsapp and Instagram, Facebook will soon allow you to take back anything on the messenger and delete it within 10 minutes you hitting 'send'. INTERESTING... Facebook Messenger's long-awaited delete messages feature will only give you a 10 minute window to remove a message in a chat pic.twitter.com/ew1z2WPXbc — Matt Navarra (@MattNavarra) November 7, 2018 So while it is a great tool to delete anything you need to take back, one needs to remember that it is still not a solution for a night of binge drinking and drunk texting. You have a window of 10 minutes only and you need to make good use of it. So if you accidentally sent a photo, a video or wrote something in rage, Facebook has got your back.
  19. Not long ago, WhatsApp rolled out a feature that let you delete sent messages for a particular time period. This 'unsend message' feature comes in extremely handy when you send the wrong person a text, and end up apologising profusely. In this case, Facebook could soon be rolling out the "unsend" feature for Messenger, that would allow users to retract sent messages not only from their inboxes but also from the entire chat thread. Tech tipster Jan Manchun Wong tweeted screenshots of the feature running in the Android version. Jan dug through the apps update code and came across a new feature addition that indicates there's a 'time limit'- giving users only a certain amount of time after they send a message to unsend it. Facebook Messenger is finally working on "Unsend Message" in the app for everyone! Tip @Techmeme pic.twitter.com/5OtQmyID3 — Jane Manchun Wong (@wongmjane) October 12, 2018 Currently, Messenger users are only able to delete messages from their inbox, though the sender/recipient will be able to see the message in his/her inbox. This feature first came to focus when CEO Mark Zuckerberg was able to delete messages from the inbox of various recipients in April this year. When you press and hold on to the message, an 'unsend' button pops up next to 'delete'. The latter option will only remove the message from your end, while the unsend button will ensure that the message is removed from the receiver's end as well. © Reuters On other news, WhatsApp is also bound to get a new update that will alter the time period in which one has to delete sent messages. Currently, messages can be called back within 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds of being sent, WhatsApp will now be extending this time frame to 13 hours, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds. LIMITS UPDATED! WhatsApp has updated the "Recipient limit". What does it mean? If you delete a message for everyone, but the recipient won't receive the revoke request within 13h, 8m, 16s (maybe because the phone was off), the message will **not** be revoked. ..(1/2) — WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) October 11, 2018 According to WABetaInfo, the change is intended to be a protection against modded users that revoke messages sent weeks, months and years ago. It is unclear whether the new change has already been implemented for all WhatsApp users or it will take some time to reach the entire WhatsApp user base. The same remains the case for Messenger. A timeline on the feature roll-out isn't officially available from Facebook yet, but we expect it to hit the app stores in the coming weeks.
