  3. Cinema is a religion for Indians. For many, it depicts the realities of their lives. Or sometimes it can even inspire us to overcome our limitations and take the next step forward in our personal journeys. When a much beloved actor delivers a well executed dialogue, it sticks to the attention of the masses. It often even evolves into a war cry, an inspiration to keep moving when things get difficult. Sports also finds a sacred place in the hearts of several Indians, and with it being Olympics season, we’ve compiled 7 iconic dialogues from Bollywood Sports Movies that will inspire you to think like an Olympian: 1. Chak De India“ Sattar(70) Minute, sattar minute hai tumhare paas. Shayad yeh.. tumhare zindagi ke sab se… khaas sattar minute. Aaj tum aacha khelo ya bura khelo, yeh sattar minute tumhe zindagi bhar yaad rahegi. Tho kaise khelna hai.. aaj mein tumhe nahin bataunga.. Bas itna kahunga, ki jao aur yeh sattar minute jee bhar kar khelna.. kyunki iske baad aane wali zindagi chahe kuch sahi ho ya na ho.. chahe kuch rahe ya na rahe.. haro ya jeeto..lekin yeh sattar minute.. tumse koi nahin cheen sakta, Kyunki mein jaanta hu ki aagar yeh sattar minute is team ka har player apne zindagi ki sabse badiya hockey khel gaya.. tho yeh satar min khuda bhi tumse vapas nahin maang sakta.” I remember watching this scene in the theaters and getting goosebumps on the spot. Coach Kabir's raw and deliberate monologue inspires his hockey team to give it their all. This dialogue continues to motivate not just athletes, but every individual to give their best in everything that they do. 2. Toofan“Jab jab zulm ki aandhi badti hai ... usse rokne ke liye ek toofan aata hai” When things get tough, you’ve gotta become a force to be reckoned with. That’s what Farhan Akhtar’s Toofan preaches. 3. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar “Aakhri chand second hi toh haar aur jeet ka faisla karte hai” Sometimes victory is determined by the finer margins, so never give up till the whistle blows. Relive this epic race from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander! 4. Dangal “Bahaut Ho Gayi Pehelwani, Ab Dangal Hoga” Another goosebumps-inducing delivery. Don’t be afraid to harness your fears to get to your goals! 5. Sultan“Qismat Aaj Agar Mujhe Harane Me Lag Jati Hai Toh Aaj Yeah Sultan Ali Khan Apni Qismat Khud Likhega” Every Olympian knows that to truly be victorious, you need to be bold enough to take your fate into your hands. That fearlessness is what separates the winners from the rest. 6. Iqbal“Dimaag aur dil jab ek saath kaam karte hai na ... toh farak nahi padta hai ki dimaag kaunsa hai aur dil kaunsa hai” There comes a point in every athlete’s life when lessons learnt by the body becomes instinct of the mind. It is this state of mental and physical union that makes a champion. 7. Lagaan "Chulhe se roti nikale ke liye, chimte ko apna mooh jalahe padi." The way to the top may not be comfortable, it will often be painful even. Your dreams come true, when you become unstoppable. Remember, you can achieve anything that you set your mind to. It’s important to have the right mindset! What are some Bollywood dialogues that inspire you? View the full article
  4. Day 5 of the first Test between India and England saw the hosts crumble in the second innings and losing the match by 227 runs. Even though Indian skipper Virat Kohli did his best to save his side from the loss and struck 72 off 104 deliveries on an unpredictable Chepauk pitch, he was unable to bring the match to a desired end. View this post on Instagram In the post-match conversation with former India player turned commentator and analyst Murali Kartik, Kohli spoke about his experience of the first Test in Chennai and his mentality going forward in the series. “It was a pretty slow wicket with not much happening in the first two days with the ball. You have to give credit where it’s due and we have to understand the things that we’ve done decently in this game. England played far more professionally,” Kohli said, lauding Joe Root’s side for clearly being the more prepared team. Got a message for @Root66? 258 runs in the match That sensational catch 🤲 All in his 100th Test match 🇮🇳 #INDvENG 󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 pic.twitter.com/aCIlx6gdKU — England Cricket (@englandcricket) February 9, 2021 “You need your bowling unit to step up and perform more collectively. It’s okay, lack of execution is understandable. We’re always learning as a side. Test cricket is a grind. England were ready for the grind and were far more equipped,” the skipper addressed the issue where he felt India ended up losing the match. “Firstly start off with good body language, understand the fields, and at the end of the day it’s the mindset. As a side, we’re a side that always improves and knows how to bounce back,” Kohli talked about how he is expecting out of his team and himself in the remaining three Test matches of the series. View this post on Instagram Finally, when asked about all the noise created by Rishabh Pant on the field while keeping wickets, Kohli appreciated the young athlete’s motivation and even promoted his mentality of keeping his teammates entertained and dialed in especially when the things don’t seem to go their way. “Yeah, Pant is a guy who likes to have fun on the field. That’s his personality and it’s very helpful for the team. He brings a lot of energy,” Kohli said. The second Test match will also be taking place at the Chepauk stadium from February 13 but with 50% of the seating capacity filled with fans who will have to maintain strict social distance rules and will be required to wear face masks at all times. 5. Over 12 years ago, one of the best Bollywood films of all time - 3 Idiots gave the viewers one of the most iconic dialogues which enabled them to envision their future in a whole new way. “Success ke peeche mat bhaago, excellence ka peecha karo. Success jhak maarke tumhare peeche ayegi (Don’t run after success, chase exellence instead. Success will follow you),” Aamir Khan’s character Ranchoddas "Rancho" Shamaldas Chanchad had said in the movie. It was not only motivational but also made a lot of sense, which drove numerous students towards excellence and success was theirs at the end of the day. West Indies batsman Jermaine Blackwood is one such student but the only difference is that his Rancho was Indian skipper Virat Kohli who’d given him similar advice, moulded in the context of cricket. In a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, Blackwood spoke about how a conversation with Kohli allowed him to look at red-ball cricket from a different perspective which unlocked his true potential as a batsman and achieve great heights in the longest format of the game. View this post on Instagram I talked to Virat Kohli a few times as well on social media. The last time India toured the Caribbean, I had a chance to talk to him in Jamaica when I was there subbing,” he said in the interview, talking about how he was unable to turn his half centuries into centuries. "So after the game, I just had a small conversation. I asked him about how I have a lot of half-centuries and [only] one century. He just said, 'What will you do when you score a century? How many deliveries did you face?' I said I faced 212 balls,” said Blackwood. View this post on Instagram "He said, 'That's it, once you can bat some balls, you're going to score runs'. So I took a big thing from that. After that conversation, I tell myself that once I can bat over 200 or 300 balls, the way I bat, I can score runs regardless of who I am playing against or where I am playing," he added. Instead of trying to score as many runs as possible, Kohli suggested that he should focus more on batting for longer periods of time and the runs will flow in automatically. View this post on Instagram Now, over the last two Test series the Windies have played against big teams like England and New Zealand, Blackwood remained the highest run-scorer for his side. It is safe to say that Kohli’s words were truly of wisdom, then. The world audience of cricket gave a lot of attention to the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy especially because it marked the resumption of Indian cricket after the coronavirus lockdown. The heroic comeback and the exciting end to the series for the Men in Blue restored some (if not all) of Test cricket’s interest which had begun to fade away with time and the rise in popularity of the shorter formats. View this post on Instagram Virat Kohli however, has always been a strong ambassador of red-ball and considered it to be the true test of a cricketer’s ability on the field. It is true that he is a brilliant athlete and a gifted scorer in limited-overs matches but his prowess, textbook technique and strong mentality is put on display when he plays for his country in the white kit. 6. At a time when people across the globe are actively raising their voices against the continuous racist attacks over the years and existing deep-rooted racism, here we come across a racist post in our own country. On one hand, people in the United States are protesting against racist police violence through the âBlack Lives Matterâ movement in the wake of the killing of George Floyd by a police officer in broad daylight. On the other hand, here in India, recently parents of a primary school in West Bengal's Burdwan district took to the streets to protest against an illustration that depicted a dark-skinned person as ugly. Till when are we going to relate dark-skinned people with ugliness? What's that sick mentality? Isn't it high time to get over such a regressive mindset? Whether USA or India or any part of the world, discrimination on the basis of the colour is far from over and needs immediate attention. Whatâs more shocking is that such sick mentality is being taught to children right from the beginning. For instance, this recent incident. #WestBengal #government has suspended two women teachers on the charge of #teaching pre-primary students from an #English alphabet book consisting of a portion derogatory to people with dark complexion https://t.co/ROFU6pILeJ â National Herald (@NH_India) June 12, 2020 According to news reports, the illustration in one of the chapters depicted âU for Uglyâ with a photo of a person with dark complexion, next to the word. Thatâs next level derogatory! These little minds are being corrupted by such unethical teaching. When the parents came to know about this, quite naturally, they weren't comfortable with the usage of an image of a black person next to the word âuglyâ in the children's curriculum book on alphabet and words. © BCCL Besides, Majumdar also demanded for the book to be withdrawn as it discriminates against dark skinned people. He said, "This book should be withdrawn soon. In any case, the education being given to children in the name of blacks will work to fill their tender hearts with inferiority complexes and discriminate against blacks. This is wrong." Why not "U" for "UNITY"..? â à¤à¤¤à¥à¤®à¤¨à¤¿à¤°à¥à¤à¤° ã¢ãã (@abhit16) June 12, 2020 Meanwhile, news outlets tried to contact Swapan Kumar Dutt, District Inspector of School Primary Education, who refused to comment on the matter initially. But, he later accepted the fact that such education is not right. He said, "This kind of book is not an official book given by the school. We will still talk to the school about it. If needed the book should be changed." Soon, following a thorough investigation into this sensitive matter, two teachers were suspended with immediate effect. Also, stricter action is to be taken against them. Clearing the stance of the government in this matter, in an interview, Education Minister Partha Chatterjee confirmed that the textbook was not issued by the government. He said, "The book is not part of the text books referred by the education department. It was introduced by the school itself. We have zero tolerance for acts which instill prejudices into the minds of students." Instances like these make us question the existing teaching system in place that pays little to no attention to the existing social evils. Children should be made aware of such sensitive topics right from their childhood rather than corrupting their minds. This particular incident came into light when the father of a student was referring to the textbook and teaching him at home. He immediately informed other parents and the education department about the issue. View the full article

  9. India?s batsmen must show a more positive mindset to combat the South Africa bowling attack, says Kohli CAPE TOWN: India?s batsmen must show a more positive mindset to combat the South Africa bowling attack, their captain Virat Kohli said after losing the first test on Monday. The match was effectively over in three days with Sunday washed out as 18 wickets fell in 64 overs on day four on a seamer-friendly Cape Town wicket and South Africa won the match by 72 runs. Set 208 for victory, India were bowled out for 135 in under 43 overs with South African seamer Vernon Philander collecting career-best figures of 6-42. ?The pitch was outstanding. I really like the type of wicket this was,? Kohli told reporters. ?It was great for test cricket and we got a result within four days having lost a day. ?It was not one-sided, both teams were in it at different stages. As a team, we really enjoyed being part of this test match and so did South Africa.? Kohli says the failure of his side to build partnerships was ultimately the difference between defeat and what would have been a sweet victory in such unfamiliar conditions. ?It was a wicket where things were happening every day and we let ourselves down with the bat,? he said. ?We wanted one big partnership to get the job done, which we failed to do.? Kohli suggested that with tracks that are likely to have even more bounce and pace to come in Pretoria and Johannesburg for the rest of the series, his batsmen needed to find a way to transfer the pressure on to the South African bowlers. Philander blasts South Africa to 72-run win over India India were bowled out for 135 by their nearest challengers ?The mindset matters when you?re travelling away from home on pitches which challenge you. You need to be positive in defence and when you?re leaving also. You need to grab scoring opportunities. ?We need to think about taking the attack to the South African bowlers more. That is something for all the batsmen, starting at the very top. ?They (South Africa) force you to play good cricket in every over that you play against them, which I think is a good credit to their bowling attack. As batters we need to step up.? The second test in Pretoria starts on Saturday.

Well, we are pretty sure you have! Each one of us has come across those so-called societal people who are quick to judge our lifestyle, be it us partying with friends all night long or just being in a relationship. Judge all they may, but some are too keen to share their wisdom (like you haven't heard enough of that already!). From tips on how to become a good married family guy to how to financially settle down with a respectable job, boys have heard it all. 11. ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has revealed his non-democratic mindset as he declared that people would hold him accountable, adding that the premier?s ?twisted logic is negation of democracy?. The PTI chief sent out a series of tweets on Twitter, heavily critcising the prime minister. Imran in his next tweets, explained the context saying that people elect their representatives and expect them to be accountable before the law and they don?t expect their leaders to abuse the law with impunity. ?Islamic and Western democratic traditions both uphold the norm of all being accountable and equal before the law of the land,? he said. He further said that Nawaz Sharif should know that development is damaged because of corruption before complaining about development being impeded as he is being investigated over corruption allegations. The PTI chief said that elections are a central pivot of democracy but so are rule of law and accountability, including of the elected representatives.
  12. Let`s get straight to the point. Unless, you are living in the 1950s, you must be aware of the side-effects and benefits of anabolic steroids. Professional athletes have been using them for decades to get bigger, stronger and faster. There’s no doubting the fact that steroids can push your body beyond what it is capable of doing. I am not against people who use anabolic steroids for achieving whatever goals. However, I would still say you have no business working out “JUST TO LOOK GOOD” or to “IMPRESS A TEENAGE GIRL” . Real and mature women don`t give a damn about your six pack or bulging muscles. Trust me on this. Staying natural in the world of bodybuilding today is a challenge most people fail at. Every next dude in the gym is either on some type of juice or is seeking the advice of a juiced trainer. It’s hard to stay natural and those who do it, learn a lot along the way. 1. Patience © jackedfactory To grow bigger naturally, you need a lot of time and unfathomable patience. This patience along with consistency, are great qualities that natural bodybuilding can teach you. These qualities will not only help you in the weight room but also, outside of it. If you look closely, a chap looking to pack on as much muscle as possible using performance enhancing drugs in a span of 12, 16 or 20 weeks, will not have any such qualities. 2. Inspire © Bodybuilding When you look up to a lifter who has been growing at a reasonable pace and one fine week, you see him almost twice the size he was last week, you know something’s not right. That very moment, you start losing respect for the guy. Drug users have an extreme advantage over naturals. Even if you are doing everything right, you can’t grow like a roider! So, if you are someone who has attained a decent physique or strength levels naturally, you will inspire many around you to work harder and smarter. As a natural lifter and trainer, this has happened to me many times and the feeling is out of the world. 3. Mentally Strong © Tnation Again, natural bodybuilding is not for the feeble-minded. Muscle mass and strength don`t shoot up at a very fast rate when you train naturally. At times, you will see yourself not progressing, not able to get stronger or bigger, with no real results, while others around you grow like weed. At this point of time, your mental strength will be put to the test. Staying away from roid use at this crucial time is what separates the men from the boys. Henry Ford, the founder of Ford motors once said- “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right.” 4) Start Getting Comfortable With Your Body © leanbodiesconsulting Competitive athletes use drugs in order to win. It’s their bread and butter. Their usage is not fueled by insecurities, which is actually fuel for immature gym goers. Training naturally and growing naturally, you start accepting that you can`t be big or ripped all the time. Having a visible six pack day in, day out or staying at single digit body fat is not practically possible. As a result you become more secure and confident in your skin. You don’t let the size of your biceps or your chest define you. You accept the fact that your physique is just one part of your personality. So yes, don`t be bogged down by negative comments a hypocrite anabolic user might throw at you, calling you tiny, weak or non-existent. So guys, if you have been training naturally, pat yourself on the back- YOU ARE A BADASS! Singh Daman is an On-Floor and online Personal Trainer and PG diploma holder in fitness and nutrition who believes Physical Fitness is as important in one`s life as Breathing,Sleeping and eating.
