  1. I know the headline will make all the Salman Khan fans start raining hate on me and the admin, but in all honesty, we are not calling him the 'worst Bollywood actor'. You can blame Google or the person handling the SEO for this goof-up or error. But I guess, we can categorize 'Race 3' and its sequels in the horror genre. © SKF Despite all the negative reviews, memes on Daisy Shah and her 'business', and cringe-worthy dialogues and songs; 'Race 3' had one of the highest openings and entered the 100 crore club within three days. Maybe that's what you call a critic-proof movie. By day 4, the movie had already minted over Rs. 120 crores. © SKF While people were recuperating from the shock of this horror called 'Race 3', the miraculously insane success of the movie has encouraged producer Ramesh Taurani to come up with a sequel. Yes, folks! You heard that right. Reportedly, 'Race 4' is on the cards or should we say on the minds of the Producer and chances are that Salman Khan will be playing a lead in it. © SKF Reportedly, Ramesh Taurani told Bollywood Life, “Race 4 zarur banegi. Par pehle script banegi, phir decide hoga. Nothing is decided.” (Race 4 is definitely on the cards. But first, we'll make the script and then decide.) He further added, “Zarur honge…Salman Khan nahi honge to kaise hoga.” (Of course, Salman Khan will be in the movie.) © SKF While, 'Race 3' featured Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez and Saqib Saleem; the cast of 'Race 4' hasn't been decided yet. Salman Khan is currently working on Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Bharat' alongside Priyanka Chopra and Disha Patani. 'Bharat' is a remake of the Korean movie 'Ode to my Father'. He will also be seen in movies like 'Zero' and 'Yamla Pagala Deewana Phir Se'. Source: Bollywood Life

  3. No matter how many movies released this year, the first half was owned by Ranveer Singh for his exceptional portrayal of mad king Alauddin Khilji, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmaavat'. And if the rumours are anything to go by, then the second half of the year too will be pretty much owned by him. Although the movie received mixed reactions, Bollywood lovers stood unanimously in favour of this being Ranveer's best performance so far. But, after the release of the jaw-dropping trailer of 'Sanju', things changed and so did people's interest. What was meant to be a movie that will take us through the life of Sanjay Dutt has now become a movie about “Who did it better: Sanjay Dutt or Ranbir Kapoor?” And for this, the entire credit goes to Ranbir Kapoor for looking so convincing. Fox Star Studios Now while the two actors are doing great in their own respective acting careers and possibly two of the best actors in Bollywood right now, they have never come together in any movie. Call it lack of an interesting script for them, their personal equations (in the past) or just the fact that the directors never thought of it; but there's no denying that we all have been secretly wishing for the two to come together in a movie. Star World And we guess we are not the only ones wishing for it, Ranbir Kapoor too thinks on the similar lines. Reportedly, in a recent conversation with Rajeev Masand, the actor said that he is a big fan of Ranveer and wants to work with him in a movie that's similar to 'Karan Arjun' or 'Andaz Apna Apna'. He said, “To cast two actors who have their own sensibilities is very hard because both have to like the material, it can't just be another project. But I really want to work with him also because I am a big fan of his work. I thought he was spectacular in Padmaavat and every other thing that he has done.” He also spoke about Ranveer's acting prowess and his energy. “Every advertisement he does, he stands out, his energy stands out…his talent speaks so much. So, I want to do a film with him but it has to be the right film. It could be like a 'Karan Arjun' or a 'Andaz Apna Apna' or a 'Deewar', it could be any genre but it has to be something that both od us connect to and like,” he said. To all the directors - Guys, are you listening? Now that even Ranbir wants to do a movie, can we please get one soon.
  4. The world of Bollywood is all about inspirations, rip-offs, and blatant copying. Over the last few years, B-town has effortlessly and shamelessly copied the content from global cinema time and again. Be it music, storyline, camera angle or poster, each and everything is just picked from a certain place and replaced with our popular faces. So much for originality, we must say. The booming industry of Bollywood literally owes a lot of its inspiration to the West. Admiring someone's work and getting inspired by it has always been the case but now makers have taken it to a whole new level. Such instances just make us wonder about the condition of Bollywood and for how long we can continue doing things like these. When the poster of 'Ra One' or 'Rowdy Rathore' was launched, we couldn't help but focus on the uncanny resemblance it shared with popular Hollywood flicks. But, for ages now, Bollywood has been copying posters without even considering the need to modify it a bit. Bringing you 20 such movie posters that are just “inspired” from Hollywood! Baahubali 2: The Conclusion © Twitter When the poster of the film was released we indeed loved it until we noticed that it has a striking resemblance to 'xXx: Return of Xander Cage'. If you thought this was the first time, let us tell you 'Baahubali' has found its inspiration from the other side of the world multiple times. © Twitter Remember the poster of Prabhas standing tall on an elephant? Well, that was inspired by Tony Jaa's 'Ong Bak 2' poster. Ghajini © Twitter Yes, the movie was one of the biggest hits when it was released and people couldn't get over the movie. But at the same time, they were also disappointed with the fact that how it looked so much like the poster of 'Hulk'. Ra One © Twitter Well, there was nothing worthy enough to talk about this Shah Rukh Khan movie except that its poster was an exact rip-off of famous Hollywood film 'Batman Begins'. PK © Twitter Aamir Khan's 'PK' created a buzz for a lot of reasons but one of the things was how the poster looked so much like an album cover of a Portuguese musician named Quim Barreiros. The original cover was released in 1973 showed Quim holding an accordion to hide his bare essentials. Ek Villian © Twitter In the case of this Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh movie, 'Step Up' and 'Face Off' happened. Facepalm! © Twitter Murder 2 © Twitter Yes, you guessed it right; it is a legit copy of 'Anti Christ'. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara © Twitter Well, this movie did give us various friendship goals but at the same time it looked a lot similar to 'Lords of Dogtown'. Kites © Twitter What came first: 'Notebook' or 'Kites'? Ugly Aur Pagli © Twitter Just love the way Indian makers get away with piracy! Murder 3 © Twitter When art is murdered again and again! But brownie points for adding those thorns. Gulaal © Twitter Remember 'The Shield'? Yeah, you know what we are talking about! Rowdy Rathore © Twitter A remake of a Telugu super flick and poster copied from 'The Replacement Killers'. All hail India's originality. Anjaana Anjaani © Twitter Is it just us or do you even see the genius mind who copied this poster from 'An Education'? Hiss © Twitter King Arthur didn't appreciate this for sure! Mausam © Twitter This is how you destroy a classic! Sonam Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, we love you, but this could have been avoided. Hulchul What fun copying 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'; isn't it? © Twitter Aitraaz © Twitter An amazing film no doubt; but the poster was copied from 'The Graduate'. Agent Vinod © Twitter So much difference! P.S. To all the copycats, let's try being original for a change.
  5. Every now and then, a movie comes out that stays with us long after the credits have rolled. But sometimes while watching such a movie, we are smitten by the props used by a character in it. Like Luke Skywalker's lightsaber or Captain America's shield or even the Zippo lighter used by George Clooney in 'Ocean's Thirteen' to trigger the dice that help him take the Casino down. You know what I am talking about, right? Props can be such an essential part of the narrative, as they convey so much more than just the time and place indicated in the story. They can be an indispensable part of a character in a movie, like Thor's Mjolnir. In this video, Walk of Flame by IMDb, property master and Head of Props for Marvel, Russel Bobbit talks about some of the most iconic props used in some of the most loved movies. Did you know the story behind the Zippo lighter used by Bruce Willis in 1980's action movie 'Die Hard' or the one used by Drew Barrymore in 'Charlie's Angels'? After watching this video, one thing's for sure – my Zippo lighter collection will grow tenfold!
  6. When it comes to insanity in fashion, we turn to Ranveer Singh, just like we turn to Rohit Shetty when we want insanity in movies. Naturally, our hopes are meteoric now that the two have come together for 'Simmba'. Not only is Ranveer all set to play the character of a badass cop in the movie, it also marks the debut of Sara Ali Khan. If all these reasons were not enough to keep us on our toes about the movie anyway, this new development sure has. The video of the first day shoot is out, and Ranveer's moustache has stolen everyone's thunder. He looks super macho. In fact, we think he has never looked better. Take a look. © Instagram Even though we are getting major 'Singham' vibes, Ranveer, as usual, effortlessly manages to make the character his own. The look, we feel, is unabashedly playful, yet boasts of oodles of machismo. Take a look at the video here. A post shared by Rohit Shetty (@itsrohitshetty) on Jun 6, 2018 at 4:26am PDT Ranveer clicked a bunch of pictures with fans as well, proudly displaying his badass new moustache. © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram Good going, Baba!
  7. What will happen with the 'Transformers' franchise is a question that has remained unanswered for a long time, but at least we now know there is one movie coming for sure to entertain us thoroughly. The trailer of Transformers' spin-off has arrived and it's all about our much-loved yellow VW Autobot. Unlike most Transformers film, this one is quite refreshing and brings in a female heroine, some deep emotions and a lot at personal stake. The gigantic Autobot has a lot of heart. © Paramount The trailer begins with the ever-lasting words of Bobby Bolivia, played by Bernie Mac in the first Transformers movie. “The driver doesn't pick the car, the car picks the driver. It's a mystical bond between man and machine.” Soon we are introduced to Charlie, our teenage heroine (Hailee Steinfeld). We see her driving home in a yellow Volkswagen Beetle, only to realise that it is actually a Transformer. © Paramount You see a bond building between Bumblebee and Charlie, where they form a strong bond of friendship. This is Bumblebee before we met him in 2007. He is lost and finds it difficult to trust people. Charlie shows him solicitude and compassion. But time will test their relation, as Decepticons make their appearance. © Paramount The movie is set in 1987 and Bumblebee is on the run from Agent Burns (John Cena) who is a Transformers-hunter from Sector 7. Though it's an action-packed packed trailer, yet the makers show us the mystical bond that makes you all teary. © Paramount It is one of those Transformer movies that you never know you needed until you watched the trailer: Directed by Travis Knight, 'Bumblebee' is set to hit the screens on Christmas this year.
  8. If the first teaser and trailer of the much awaited 'Sanju' managed to pique your interest to know more about Sanjay Dutt's life and experience the stellar magic of Ranbir Kapoor's acting at the same time, then the final trailer, which dropped today, will ensure that you don't miss this movie at any cost. I really do not have much to elaborate on after what I just witnessed in those wonderful 3 minutes. Ranbir has proven time and again, that he is the king of his own domain, and a few commercial duds have had zero effect on his brilliance. Also, the myth that only Imtiaz Ali can bring out the best in Ranbir has been finally busted, as Rajkumar Hirani seems to have pushed Ranbir's limits to the sky and beyond in this film. © Vinod Chopra Films Talking about the ladies who appeared in the trailer, Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor deserve a special mention for impressing us in just a few seconds. © Vinod Chopra Films © Vinod Chopra Films The final trailer gives us a peek into Sanjay Dutt's life, weaving the story with emotional and realistic brilliance. It promises an intriguing and power-packed performance, which will force you to watch the movie, even if you are not a big fan of Sanjay Dutt. The movie releases on 29th June so make sure you mark your dates.
  9. Samsung showcased their latest 4K LED theatre screens at Cinemacon last month and we will finally see them coming to India later this year. The screens are now called Onyx and will be capable of showing pure black picture quality. The biggest size of the screen will stand at 34-feet tall and will have a resolution of 4096X2160. The new technology is said to have clearer, crisper and richer picture quality than what we see at movie theatres today. The screens will be able to display images of 4K, 2K, HDR and 3D quality. © Samsung Commenting on the launch Mr Puneet Sethi, Vice President, Consumer Electronics Enterprise Business, Samsung India said, “Witnessing the growing demand for advanced theatre technology from movie experts and consumer alike, Samsung planned to make a radical shift from the theatre projection systems to the LED screen in India. We are introducing a game-changing technology which would showcase the work of our directors as intended and at optimal quality. In addition, it will also offer our movie-goers a new level of viewing environment, immersive in every aspect.” © Samsung These screens are essentially a giant 4K UHD TV without any bezels and do not rely on inferior projection technology. The screens will also be coupled with a custom JBL sound system that will deliver the ultimate audio experience that will compliment the screen. These screens also work like a charm with ambient lighting which means it doesn't obstruct the viewing experience that you may face while watching a movie in a traditional theatre. These screens can also be used for other purposes such as e-sports events and music concerts. © Samsung As a moviegoer, you can expect movie tickets to be slightly more expensive than traditional theatres. You can expect these tickets to cost similar to what you would pay for an IMAX screening. Samsung has not detailed exactly as to how much it will cost an exhibitor to implement the new technology. However, Samsung estimates it at somewhere between $500,000 and $800,000. © Samsung Samsung said it is currently working with every major Indian exhibitor and we shall see an Onyx theatre in India very soon. The company has already installed Onyx theatres in South Korea, U.S., Switzerland and plans to have 30 installed worldwide by the end of 2018.
  10. There are two kinds of people in the world. One kind that can say and do whatever they want to, but no one bats an eyelid. And the other group is comprised of people who can stir up controversy even if they do nothing but sneeze or cough. Former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nahalani aka 'Master of Cuts' falls in that category of people. After making things tough for other filmmakers and a failed attempt at making it big at the box office with his erotic movie 'Julie 2', Nihalani is back in action. This time he's wearing the director's hat for yet another 'interesting movie', which is based on the life of one of the biggest scamsters in India. Twitter Talking about scamsters, who are the first few names that come in your mind? You can take your time because we know the recent additions have made the list longer than before. Well, some of the most famous names are Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya. Now, one of these names are now a part of Nihalani's upcoming movie. No, they are not a part of the movie, but the film is is based on one of them. Any guesses? Twitter *Drum rolls* Pahlaj Nihalani is making a movie based on the life of the 'King of Good Times' aka liquor baron Vijay Mallya. And Govinda has been roped in to play the lead character. According to ANI, Nihalani said, “I have made a movie inspired by the life of Vijay Mallya, and Govinda is in the main lead, audiences will be surprised to see his new avatar. The movie will be completely entertaining.” Well, we don't have any doubts about that. I have made a movie inspired by the life of Vijay Mallya, and Govinda is in the main lead, audiences will be surprised to see his new avataar. The movie will be completely entertaining: Pahlaj Nihalani, producer & director pic.twitter.com/prYo6ZqQUK — ANI (@ANI) May 29, 2018 And if the reports are anything to go by then chances are this movie's name is going to be 'Rangeela Raja'. How else can one justify the title 'King of Good Times', right? In fact a song-and-dance sequence has already been shot. Nihalani also said, “Not the Mallya card, the Mallya calendar. The entire look, feel, appearance and rhythm of the song sequence is based on the Kingfisher calendars. As for Govinda playing who you say he is playing, let's just keep the suspense going. I am neither denying nor admitting it.” Twitter Talking about working with Govinda after a hiatus of over 30 years, “It felt just like old times when we shot together for his debut film 'Ilzaam'. Govinda is fitter now than he has ever been. And Chinni Prakash who has done many of Govinda's dances in my films gave Govinda steps this time that only Govinda can do. No concession for age. And Govinda wasn't looking for easier steps.” Teasing the curious people, he said, “A lot of people asked me who Govinda is playing. All I can say at this point of time is that Govinda plays a man who is the biggest scamster of our times. Need I say more?”

  12. Daniel Craig is gearing up for his last Bond outing on the big screen and fans across the globe are obviously excited, albeit a little heart broken as well. We've been expecting you… #Bond25, Daniel Craig's 5th outing as 007, will be directed by Academy Award-winning Danny Boyle from an original screenplay by John Hodge. Production is set to begin on 3 Dec 2018. MGM will partner with Universal Pictures to release the film worldwide pic.twitter.com/h8fVhyYhyY — James Bond (@007) May 25, 2018 However, even though it might be his last Bond flick, there won't be any regrets for the movie star, as he is taking home a big fat pay check of around 50 million pounds, which is Rs. 450 crores! © Instagram The new feather of being an Executive Producer, in his already heavy cap, will catapult him into becoming one of the highest paid actors in the history of cinema. Frankly, there is no comparison of his earnings with his predecessors who have played the iconic role of James Bond. George Lazenby made around £72,000 per movie, whereas Roger Moore got around £17 million for all the spy movies he did. Pierce Brosnan also made around £13 million from four films. © Instagram Danny Boyle, the Oscar-winning filmmaker is donning the Director's hat for this one. The makers are justifying the amount Craig is getting as 'Spectre' made over $800 million and 'Skyfall' raked in over $1 billion before they even sold DVD, streaming and the TV rights. © Instagram The 25th Bond movie is slated to release in November 2019. Let's see how it fares at the box-office, since Rs. 450 crores is an insane amount of money to pay someone to catch fake criminals on screen.

  14. Two or more people sharing the same first name, isn't something new. In fact, having 5 students with the same name in the same class was often a difficult task for teachers to deal with. I am sure we all have a Pooja, Neha or Aarti in our lives, because these names are so common. But, what are the odds that they all share the same surname? And what are the chances that one of them is a global megastar? Not many, right? Well, I would have thought so too had I not come across Ryan Reynolds. Confused? Well, I am not talking about him… © Instagram Or Deadpool… © Marvel Entertainment In fact, this is also not about Blake Lively's husband, who loves to troll his wife on social media. © Instagram I am talking about Ryan Reynolds from Australia, who went viral on social media, after he enquired about Marvel Stadium. Seriously, 'Deadpool 2' actor talking about Marvel Stadium, what can possibly be so interesting that people are going crazy over it? Well, this Ryan Reynolds is actually a sports journalist and the stadium in question has nothing to do with MCU or superheroes. Neither does this Ryan Reynolds has anything in common (except the name), with the more famous Ryan. And sense of humour probably. In fact, given the blue tick on the Twitter accounts of both the Ryans, I won't be surprised if any of us ended up following the wrong Ryan in haste. © Twitter Back story: Melbourne's Etihad Stadium will soon go by a new name – Marvel Stadium, after Disney struck an eight-year deal with them. Before 2009, Etihad Stadium was known as The Docklands Stadium, Colonial Stadium and Telstra Dome. Taking a cue from this excellent 'Deadpool=Marvel' and 'Ryan Reynolds=Ryan Reynolds' opportunity; the sports reporter who works with Geelong Advertiser posted this. Do I get free entry into Marvel Stadium? #Deadpool2 — Ryan Reynolds (@Reynolds_R) May 23, 2018 In fact, Ryan even tweeted to the 'Deadpool 2' actor, asking him out for a coffee next time he's in Australia. Any chance of catching up for a coffee next time you're in Oz @VancityReynolds ? My shout. https://t.co/bd3c6YTjjP — Ryan Reynolds (@Reynolds_R) May 24, 2018 Well, thanks to his cheeky tweet we finally know that there's someone apart from Ryan, who will now probably be the target of all the Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds jokes. Good luck covering the Australian Football League (AFL), Ryan. We wonder how Ryan Reynolds will react once he comes across the lesser known Ryan. Source: Geelong Advertiser
