  1. In 2017, Marvel associated with the legendary singer Baapi Lahiri for 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'. Well, technically Bappi Da aka the man with a golden voice and a golden wardrobe wasn't a part of the movie. It was his song 'Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba' that was featured in the trailer. Fast forward to the present and another legendary artist is all set to associate with the upcoming movie 'Avengers: Endgame'. Instagram Reportedly, Marvel and music maestro AR Rahman are teaming up to create a special anthem for all the Indian fans of 'Avengers: Endgame'. The song that will come out in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu will be releasing on April 1. We hope it's not an April Fool's Day joke. According to Hindustan Times, the Oscar-winning composer said, "Being surrounded by Marvel fans in my own family, there was too much pressure to come with something really satisfying and apt for Avengers: Endgame. I hope Marvel aficionados and music lovers enjoy the track." Marvel Studios With only a month left for the release of one of the biggest superhero movies, we desi fans can't wait to hear Rahman's 'Marvel'ous track and Thanos snapping his fingers to the tune. Directed by the Russo brothers (Joe and Anthony), 'Avengers: Endgame' is releasing in India on April 26.
  2. Comic book and superhero movies are all the rage these days, what with so many incredible movies releasing. But, since we cover so much Marvel and 'Avengers' (who can blame us?), here's us taking a little break and talking about 'Shazam'. This is for all those people complaining about all the 'Captain Marvel' articles and how we don't cover DC enough. Enjoy! So, the movie is releasing on April 5th and so it was time for the first, spoiler-free reviews to come out and they're all positive so far. The movie is basically getting a unanimous thumbs up from people who have watched it. There's a special mention for Zachary Levi and how brilliantly he basically portrays a young adolescent. It's entertaining, joyful, and sweet. Moreover, people are saying it completely understands the superhero genre. My spoiler-free #review thread of #Shazam The Donner's Superman of our generation, Shazam has so much heart and goes back to the original core of the superhero genre. This movie makes us believe in a world where Superheroes could exist and be loved at the same time. PT 1/15 pic.twitter.com/wh4TFrSPcn — Luiz Fernando (@Luiz_Fernando_J) March 23, 2019 This is a long review thread. There are many fantasy elements though, but inserted in a real world, with relatable people and situations. In such a way that you really believe that all those things could coexist. Basically what the #DCEU tried since #ManOfSteel, but is Shazam who better hit the goal. PT 2/15 — Luiz Fernando (@Luiz_Fernando_J) March 23, 2019 Let's hope so. The cast is perfect in their characters having the time of their lives, and there is chemistry everywhere. Mark Strong delivers a good villain, the supporting characters are awesome. I loved Billy's adoptive parents. Zachary Levi will get the praises he truly deserves. PT 10/15 — Luiz Fernando (@Luiz_Fernando_J) March 23, 2019 To summarise, #Shazam is a triumph, understands the superhero genre like few did recently. Amazing cast and storytelling. An emotional rollercoaster. As said in my reaction, a Gift for the genre, and a winner for WB. PS: wait til the end of the last bunch of credits. PT 15/15 — Luiz Fernando (@Luiz_Fernando_J) March 23, 2019 Seems promising. #Shazam (2019) SPOILER-FREE REVIEW! This movie reminded me of my childhood. I HATED MY CHILDHOOD! That Billy Batson is a MENACE-IN-TRAINING! I yelled, I laughed, I may have even shed a tear. 7/10 pic.twitter.com/2Oaof7gWnN — J. Jonah Jameson Reviews (@jonah_reviews) March 25, 2019 That's exciting. #Shazam ably carries the ball forward for DC's movie universe from #Aquaman. Big action, big laughs, big heart underneath, with terrific star turns from both @AsherAngel & @ZacharyLevi. (I also have to give it up for how well the marketing kept the best surprises under wraps!) — Zaki Hasan (@zakiscorner) March 24, 2019 Well, that's good. My Non-Spoilery thoughts on SHAZAM! SHAZAM is the 1-2-3 punch of the DCCU solo movies, continuing the streak from WONDER WOMAN to AQUAMAN to this fun Big Red Cheese-y flick! @ZacharyLevi @AsherAngelâ© â¦@Jgrazerofficialâ© are all perfect! Will watch EVERY movie in this franchise! pic.twitter.com/q0uYHphqGf — Dan Slott (@DanSlott) March 24, 2019 That's one way to put it. Ain't talked about #Shazam much but I think if you don't “like” this movie or find it “entertaining” you're probably dead on the inside lmfao. — 3-6 Mafia Gang (@MichaelHJordan) March 25, 2019 Can't wait! Saw an early screening of #Shazam . Probably one of the best Christmas movies ever made, right up there with Die Hard and Iron Man 3. Can't wait to see it again April 5! @ponysmasher is amazing! — Funmi Adetola (@FunmiAdetola1) March 24, 2019 Let's hope so. The fun thing is, #SHAZAM is basically creating a VERY new version of the whole mythos for an audience that will mostly have never heard of it, but oldschool/hardcore fans wondering how far/"deep" it's going to go will know like 2 minutes in... and then still be impressed. — Bob Chipman (@the_moviebob) March 24, 2019 Okay then. #Shazam is easily the best DC Comics movie of the current editions -- an absolute blast from start to finish and impressive balance of fun, heart, and terror. Full review: https://t.co/a2OVm4ojpa pic.twitter.com/LXiSzqx6H2 — Brandon Davis (@BrandonDavisBD) March 23, 2019 It's full of surprises! WB deserves a serious round of applause for the level of restraint they exercised with the marketing. That's not an exaggeration, it's unheard of for a CBM......and that's the closest you'll get to a spoiler from me. Incredible. #Shazam — TheFliteCast (@TheFliteCast) March 23, 2019 Oh wow. #Shazam isn't just a great superhero movie, it's the best DCEU movie. Even better than Aquaman. Definitely going to see it a few times before Avengers comes out! pic.twitter.com/DC7p8ynnCS — Jeremy Conrad (@ManaByte) March 24, 2019
  3. The intriguing trailer of 'Tashkent Files' looks like a very interesting watch, as the movie probes into the very important and mysterious matter surrounding the death of late Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The movie stars Mithun Chakraborty, who will be seen as Shyam Sundar Tripathi, leading a committee which is apparently looking into the enquiry. The movie also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles as well. There are various conspiracy theories surrounding the death of the respected politician who died under mysterious circumstances. From murder to a heart attack, various explanations exist out there, but the people are still divided over it. © Zee Studios The movie is slated to release on 12th April and should be on your list if political thrillers and dramas are your thing.
  4. If you love Marvel, you can watch any of the MCU movies for hours and hours without any complain and this is coming from someone who watched 'Avengers: Infinity War' twice yesterday just because it came on TV twice. So, obviously when people heard about the running time possibly being around three hours for 'Avengers: Endgame', everyone was just excited and was already deciding how to hold in their pee while watching the movie, so they don't miss even a second. Now that the actual running time is out - 3 hours and 2 minutes - most people are just calling the Russo Brothers cowards because we all would watch the movie without a break even if it was, say 10 hours long. BREAKING NEWS: AVENGERS: ENDGAME IS GOING TO BE 3 HOURS AND 2 MINUTES LONG. pic.twitter.com/jdSIz5ZGOk — Robert Downey Jr UK (@downeysduckling) March 23, 2019 But, for real, the movie is basically a month away and every new thing we learn about it just builds up the excitement even more and now it's just getting harder and harder to wait. So, yes, three hours and two minutes will be nothing for us to sit through and I don't even know what to say anymore, I just want to watch the movie now. We stan! Thank you Marvel for wanting to tell a full story and not half ass it. I love that idea! #avengersendgame pic.twitter.com/WhlIrNu3t7 — Yoda ðððð(@YodaMan212) March 23, 2019 The two minutes matter. Source : Avengers Endgame is longer than 3 hours ! Me : YAAAYYYYYYYYY !! Source : By 2 minutes. Me : ð¶#MCU #Marvel #AvengersEndgame — Swastika (@swastikasomani) March 25, 2019 Please make it happen. okay but can we get an end credit scene where Luis recaps what happened — Tanner (@tannwoir) March 23, 2019 No drinks! how I'll be in the theatre during Avengers: Endgame for 3 hours and 2 mins pic.twitter.com/e7IrIZpcas — j a n e (@yuh2gkmo) March 25, 2019 It's not enough. Thats it? pic.twitter.com/FAaObJkJ2o — Frederick Joseph (@FredTJoseph) March 23, 2019 Yes, you cowards! Only 3 hours? MAKE IT 10 COWARDS pic.twitter.com/YCujNOMIPf — iliana (@ilianacucu) March 23, 2019 *Laughs in Indian* If you think for one minute I'm going to sit through 3 hours and 2 minutes of The Avengers holding my pee coz I don't want to miss any part of the plot then you are absolutely right. https://t.co/OgQkNxQghr — my name it's Menzie (@Typical_menz) March 25, 2019 The only two minutes making us happy. 2 MINUTES pic.twitter.com/ckdsnB4UK4 — Kevin (@KevinLFC_) March 23, 2019 I was hoping for that. The runtime for Avengers: Endgame is over 3 hours so I guess it's safe to say Ant-Man doesn't just immediately go up Thanos' butt and expand. — Rex (@ThatRexGuy) March 25, 2019 Yes. Both Gone With the Wind (3hrs and 58 min) and the titanic ( 3 hours and 15 min) we deserve a longer Avengers movie after investing nearly 10 years in the Marvel Universe — TS7 is a Hoax (@Mark_Edward21) March 25, 2019 Can someone make this happen? My daydream postcredit has been Deadpool finds the Infinity Gauntlet in a dumpster and Avengers 5 is all the heroes dealing with all the absurd damage Wade causes — pat (@patfromearth) March 24, 2019 All day. AVENGERS: ENDGAME is going to be 3 hours long.... yet here I am wishing it was 6 hours long. pic.twitter.com/MWaVpZ23xJ — JTE (@JTEmoviethinks) March 13, 2019
  5. "A character that will stay with me forever...#Malti", wrote Deepika Padukone while sharing the first look from her upcoming movie 'Chhapaak'. Looks like, not just her, but this character and her first look will stay forever with everyone, given how amazing she looks as Malti. 6. With the Indian Premier League (IPL) underway in full steam, we are bound to see many new-comers who will make a name for themselves and go on to earn laurels. Established youngsters such as Prithvi Shaw and Shubhman Gill, who are already in the limelight, can be the ones to replace the current Indian squad in the coming two to three years. These are the predicted top five youngsters who own the skills and determination to make it to the Indian team by the next World Cup, that is in 2023. 1. Prithvi Shaw (Delhi Capitals) © TOI The young Mumbai lad, Prithvi Shaw, is all set to make a comeback in the limelight of Indian Premier League under Delhi Capitals. Having a wonderful debut last year in the league, overshadowing Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and many other stars, Shaw definitely made a name for himself and got retained by the side during the 2019 IPL auction. Giving some prolific performances for the Indian Test side and that too at the age of just 18 is another proof of why he is referred to as the 'Next Master Blaster' of Indian cricket. Despite his worth still to be proven in limited overs cricket, he remains our top contender to make it to the Indian squad in the coming years, especially for ICC World Cup 2023. 2. Shreyas Iyer (Delhi Capitals) © Instagram The captain of the domestic as well as the IPL team of Delhi, Shreyas Iyer, is known to be the man of focus as this IPL season kicks off. Replacing Gautam Gambhir's leadership of Delhi Capitals since last year, Iyer has flowered as a captain and a better player too. From scoring in IPL to playing some great knocks for India A, the 24-year-old Mumbai lad has been in a prime form which if continues, will provide him with the great opportunity to support Virat Kohli by the World Cup 2023. 3. Shubhman Gill (Kolkata Knight Riders) © Instagram Soon after the arrival of Shaw, Shubman Gill became the next big thing to be talked about in the Indian cricket circuit. The 19-year-old batsman from Punjab is completely determined to achieve big things in international cricket and has continued to deliver consistently whenever the opportunity is provided. Ever since his phenomenal performance in the ICC U-19 World Cup 2018 in New Zealand, Shubman has been knocking at the door of the senior team. After being declared as the 'Player of the Tournament' during the2018 U-19 World Cup, he has been hailed by the experts as a player to watch out for. Getting an early entry into the Indian team and sharing the dressing room with big shots like Sunil Narine, Chris Lynn and Andre Russell for the Kolkata Knight Riders, Gill will definitely gain more knowledge of how to become a mature player. In the next few years, we will be seeing some major transformations in the youngster and we hope he goes on to break many records and might get us the 2023 World Cup too. 4. Mayank Agarwal (Kings XI Punjab) © Instagram “International cricket has made me calmer” was a statement given by Mayank Agarwal in an interview to Hindustan Times on Sunday. Having scored 2141 runs for the domestic team of Karnataka in the 2017-18 season and 3472 runs in 70 India-A matches, Agarwal's long wait of getting into the Indian team ended in December last year. Called to Australia as a replacement for Rohit Sharma, the 28-year-old was finally selected for the Boxing Day Test at the MCG, where he responded with a brilliant 76, the highest score by an Indian debutant in Australia, and a 42 in the second innings. Now, making a comeback after his thumb injury for Kings XI Punjab, he seems all set to show the entire world what he is made of. Regardless of all the difficulties and drawbacks that he has had, we would still opt him as our favourite to showcase in World Cup 2023. 5. Mayank Markande (Mumbai Indians) © Instagram 21-year-old Mayank Markande, recently added an achievement to his resume as he received his maiden call-up for the India T20I squad against Australia. Playing for Mumbai Indians and sharing the dressing room with legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Mahela Jayawardene, will surely be helpful to the young leggie. Keeping World Cup 2023 in mind, it will be interesting to see how young Markande fills the shoes of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.
  7. We humans always do things to move forward. Our technology gets better every passing year. Our daily essentials are better than what they were a few years ago, even our cars and bikes have gotten better, proving that we aim for betterment. In fitness, sadly, we tend to take two steps forward and three steps back. New data and hundreds of scientific studies emerge everyday disproving the old beliefs held by the bodybuilders of the past and present. Still, people do not want to use their brains and simply buy into the hype. © MensXP Spoiler alert: It is not those magic supplements or magic workouts making the bodybuilders huge and jacked. Here are some fitness trends that should have stopped in 2018 (at least, stop them in 2019): 1. Muscle Confusion Workouts Your muscles are smart. If you do the same workout, they won't respond. Switch your exercises every four weeks. Your muscles won't understand how to respond. They will grow then. This theory is as good as saying, study Chemistry for a Math test. Your brain will be confused and you top the class. Plain stupid. Muscles grow primarily through mechanical overload. To grow muscle, you have to become strong. © MensXP If you switch your exercises every 3-4 weeks, you are picking a new movement. You need time to adapt to the movement. After some time you will gain strength. When that time comes, you will do the same stupidity and switch exercises. 2. Stop Buying BCAAs & Fat Burners We all want results quickly. Just a couple of years before 2010, when Internet education was not much, this prominent scam was running rampantly. Someone from Nigeria was dying and of all the people they knew, wanted to give you the money they had in savings. Some even millions of dollars. The catch was that you needed to send them some $10,000 so they could pay the taxes and transfer fees. Funnily enough, many people willingly jumped into the scam. Why? Simply because they were promised to become rich very quickly. The same thing goes with these so-called magical supplements. They promise you overnight results. Burn fat overnight. Get jacked overnight. People shout back, 'Take my money.' Time and again, data has shown that these supplements do nothing at best. There is data suggesting BCAAs could actually lead to muscle loss. Still, people would want to buy it. © MensXP If you really want to invest in supplements, read this piece. 3. Cut Out Carbs From Your Diet Carbs raise insulin. Insulin makes you fat. Carbs are evil. Carbs are everything that's wrong with humanity. Carbs cause cancer, etc. All this stupidity is spewed by certain 'experts' who believe they know everything about nutrition based on articles published by a journalist who has a company thriving on lying to people. Suddenly, these people become gurus and have a herd of sheep worshipping them. What really matters for weight loss? A sustained calorie deficit. The laws of thermodynamics dictate changes in body stores and weight. Eat carbs or do keto, does not make any difference. Pick a diet that helps you adhere to a calorie deficit. There is no one-size-fits-all. So, if you think you need to stop eating carbs to lose weight and you actually enjoy eating carbs, do not go down the ketogenic rabbit hole. I hope this article speaks to you and calls you out on the bullshit you have been listening. Spreading bullshit is just one part of the problem. Accepting and following the bullshit blindly is a bigger problem. 8. Big B might be 76, but that clearly doesn't stop him from constantly one-upping the younger crop of actor-fashionistas. His style game has always been young and vibrant, and even now, he sometimes steps out wearing pieces that are headline-worthy. The latest example? A pair of super fancy velvet moccasins he wore to witness daughter Shweta set fire to the ramp. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani Mr Bachchan wore a statement kurta with a relaxed white pyjama. However, as basic as the overall attire seems to be, he had planned the ultimate footwear game that would elevate the seemingly subtle ensemble. The royal amaranth-purple velvet moccasins are super fancy on their own, add to them the conspicuous AF golden tassels, and we get a pair that beats 'em all. © Viral Bhayani We love the ivory and blue kurta, mainly because of how unusual it is in terms of the print. Mr Bachchan made a well-calculated fashion move by keeping the trousers plain and relaxed, lest it gets OTT, which it totally did not. © Viral Bhayani While we love the look, along with the minimal accessory game (did you notice the elegant ring with the blue stone?), we still can't get over those badass royal shoes! © Viral Bhayani Kudos, Sir!
  9. Life is unpredictable. We never know when the biggest curveball would be thrown our way, and if we will be able to maneuver through it and come out a winner. Hawaldar Raju Rawat of 56 Engineer unit of the Indian Army was posted in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh and was a celebrated canoe player in Army before life took a you turn on him a few years ago. Hailing from Uttarakhand, Raju became a well known name after he was selected to represent India in the Asian Games finale in 2014. But things changed in 2015 when Raju was diagnosed with cancer following a bout of pain and discomfort. © Thinkstock/Getty Images Recalling the time of his diagnosis her told TOI, “I had started feeling the pain after coming back from Asia Games but could not gauge about the problem. I even attended national championships and won gold medal.” Post the diagnosis, Raju decided to recover before moving any further as a canoe player. Raju stood out of the games for the next two years, and shifted to New Delhi to get treated at the Army Hospital in the city. He finally beat cancer and got back into the sport last year in 2018. © TOI Raju gave credit to the army and his coach for their support and encouragement, that helped him to recover and get back on his feet. Raju told TOI that, ““Without their support and encouragement, I would have never made a comeback.” As on Sunday, Raju has won two bronze medal for our country in the International Canoeing Championship which had 13 participating countries. He won under the 500m C-2 and 200m C-2 category. © Thinkstock/Getty Images Raju's journey is inspiring, because not only did he fight in the face of death, but he came out a winner, and reclaimed his former glory as a trusted national level player. The army is thoroughly impressed by Raju display of valour and they have started sending him to schools and colleges to give motivational speeches. The army coach has just one thing to give credit to for Raju's success, “He is an army man and such courage is very common in army,'' said the coach, and we totally agree!
  10. Vijay Verma is like a rare diamond found in a heap of coals. His acting was priceless in 'Gully Boy' and has us hooked on him ever since. For an actor, to say so much with his expressions and his eyes without saying anything at all is an achievement that not many actors can claim to have. But Vijay Verma is not just great at acting, he also has impeccable taste in fashion which reflects every now and then when he steps out of the door. His sense of style is raw, rugged and yet classy just like his acting. He has that rare Tumblr-esque aesthetic to his pictures which is rarely found among the Bollywood actors lot. For the Filmfare awards 2019, actors have experimented with all sorts of outfits, From Ranveer Singh's extra Versace shirt to the porn star moustache seen on so many actors like Ayushmann Khurrana and Arjun Kapoor. The red carpet is a place where crazy experiments take place and are appreciated. © Instagram/ itsvijayverma Vijay Verma wore a classic three-piece that consisted of Satya Paul, NM design studio and Trumpet shoes. Take a look: © Instagram/ itsvijayverma © Instagram/ itsvijayverma And the outfit is one glorious piece of art, don't you agree?
  11. Keanu Reeves is not just a great actor but also one of the best human beings ever. His humbleness is not really a secret, and well, when you're immortal, I guess you have to be nice to everyone. Jokes aside, he's once again showed everyone his down to earth side even after being one of the biggest actors in Hollywood and people can't stop raving about him. He's usually seen not leading an unnecessarily luxurious life that we would expect from an actor of his stature, he's been spotted taking the subways and all sorts of public transport like us common folks. This time, he was seen at an airport, talking to people and then taking a bus with them. keanu got stranded somewhere in california and had to take a bus instead of a plane and some guy filmed the entire experience and i am BEGGING yall to watch this pic.twitter.com/I1TmLOEYiK — á´ á´ á´ (@keanusgf) March 24, 2019 This is one of the purest videos ever, tbh. You can just clearly see what a nice person he is and God bless Instagram user Brian Rea to document all of it on his stories. From reading out loud facts about Bakersfield from the internet to playing songs for everyone, he honestly would be the best road trip buddy anyone can have. People, including me, can't deal with what a great person he is. Keanu, just teach everyone how to be like you, please. 12. Have you ever imagined surviving on the internet without Google? Don't bother if you haven't, because it's not as easy as it sounds. I mean, just think about it for a minute. If you're using a Google-owned Android phone, then you're already out because that phone is probably one of the first things you check in the morning after you've woken up. Even a lot of iOS apps rely on Google's services. You take an Uber to work, you're using Google Maps data. You open Safari browser, you're again using Google's Search engine by default. In fact, even a lot of news websites, which you trust, run Google-owned ad services. © Pexels Look, I can pull out a lot of examples like this, but the point that I am trying to make here is that Google is everywhere. It's really difficult to avoid Google, and there's no easy way around it. That, however, isn't stopping a Reddit community from trying. A dedicated community which goes by 'r/deGoogle' on Reddit is filled with thousands of users trying to live a life without Google. The goal, apparently, is to try and avoid handing any personal information over to Google and its services. The subreddit, at its core, looks like a dumping ground for various links to apps and services which you can use without relying on Google. Think of the subreddit like a collection of 'tips and tricks' for surviving on the internet without Google. © Reddit - deGoogle Is it really possible to cut out Google from your life? The answer, unfortunately, is no. Yes, it's almost impossible to avoid Google without having a major effect on the way you use the internet. Between all of its products, Google has billions of users. Besides the Google search engine and other services like YouTube, G-Suite, etc., you're looking at Google's presence in other domains like artificial intelligence, fibre internet, and more. Heck, the company just announced its entry into the world of gaming with Stadia. Even if you manage to keep yourself away from these Google services, you're still relying on Google while using apps and services like Snapchat, Spotify, Pokemon Go. Why? Well, these services are all based on Google's Cloud platform. So as a netizen, you're relying heavily on Google in some way or the other. © BCCL Yes, it sounds a little terrifying considering how much Google knows about you and your day-to-day activities. Of course, there are ways to avoid Google and it's services up to an extent. However, if you choose to go that route, then you may have to make some serious alterations on the way you use the internet. In case you're interested, you can check out some ways with which you can cut out Google from your life here.
  13. Vicky Kaushal is making headlines every day and for good reason. Delivering great movies one after the other, he's no more the boy next door. He has arrived. From supporting roles to carrying his own films flawlessly, the actor has really evolved. © Instagram/amandeepkaur But aside from his stellar acting, and great performances the actor also has a relatable sense of style. It's the kind of style that is neither too experimental and nor too loud and yet it makes a statement and an impressive one at that. Unlike actors like Ranveer Singh and Aparshakti Khurana who rely on the element of shock value to express their sense of personality pulling off impossible things with stride, Vicky Kaushal stays conventional and hits the right notes of style pairing the best of everything together. © Instagram/amandeepkaur Case in point: for the Filmfare awards, Vicky Kaushal wore the classic bow tie with a tuxedo. The thing about something so classic and conventional is that anyone can easily go wrong with them. But not Vicky Kaushal. He added a classic pair of brogues by House Of Sunil Mehra with a surface that has the perfect balance of shine and ruggedness on it. The shoes were the star of this outfit. They lifted the outfit and took it to another level. Take a look: © Instagram/amandeepkaur Hands up if you too want to get shoes like Vicky Kaushal because we do.
  14. Aparshakti Khurana's style game has been on fire this year. From casually wearing the most unusual accessories to setting ramps on fire, this man is unstoppable right now and he clearly has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. He recently attended the Filmfare awards in an outfit that screams 'Desi chhora with a Hypebeast twist'. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani It's lit, right? We're obsessed with the super classy, quintessential striped kurta with a rustic organic vibe. But, what got us on our feet is what he decided to wear for lowers. He went for a statement white dhoti, draped to perfection, and paired it with a pair of - wait for it - Balenciaga sneakers. © Viral Bhayani © Instagram/Aparshakti_Khurana Like, what? Who even thinks of a pairing like this one? This one especially is tricky because A, it's extremely difficult to pull off an extreme mix-n-match like this one, and B, no one has done it before! Our Bollywood biggies love their Balenciagas, yes, but to pair them with a desi dhoti? Only someone who is extremely secure and sure about their style game will even attempt it. Aparshakti clearly has not only 'attempted' it, but sent it right outside the boundary. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani We like how even his accessories are a mix of 'desi' and 'phoren'. The white pocket square screams royalty, while the futuristic eyewear gives the whole outfit its inimitable edge. © Viral Bhayani Applause, Apar! More 'shakti' to your fashion game!
  15. Usually, students who haven't prepared for an exam, tend to fill their answer sheets with relevant (or sometimes random) info. Let's admit it, we all have done it or at least thought of doing something along these lines at some point. However, a young boy in Karnataka decided to fill his Economics answer sheets with 'PUBG Mobile', simply because he didn't study and had nothing else to write. Yes, these PUBG Mobile controversies are getting seriously getting out of hands now. The boy, who spoke to The New Indian Express, said he lost track of his studies this year after getting addicted to the online mobile game, and couldn't prepare for his exams. He admitted that he got so engrossed in the game, that he forgot the exams were around the corner. His parents saw him being busy on his phone all the time, but he kept them in the dark by saying that he was chatting with friends. And instead of writing answers to the questions, he filled his sheets with 'PUBG Mobile' information, covering everything from 'How to install PUBG Mobile', to 'Tips and Tricks'. © PUBG Corporation While talking to TNIE, he said, “I was studious but got attracted towards PUBG as it was entertaining, and soon got addicted to it. Sometimes I even bunked classes to play the game and sat in the nearby garden.” He apparently got angry with himself and wrote about the game in his answer sheet. The teacher who evaluated the boy's answer sheet was pretty surprised to see all the info about 'PUBG Mobile'. The teacher said, “Usually students who do not know the answers write film songs or famous movie dialogues. But this boy has written everything about the game, starting from steps to download it to how to play it. He seems to have good mastery over the game.” © PUBG Corporation The issue was then reported to the principal, who then summoned the boy's parents to notify them about his addiction. It looks his parents took him for counselling, and he is now preparing to reappear in the exam.
  16. You will hardly hear anyone say nice things about their boss or the job they do, because people always have something or the other to crib about. We all have good and bad days, but no matter how bad your bad days are, it can't get worse than the guy who was working as North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's photographer. via GIPHY Recently, the 47-year-old photographer was fired from his job and the reason will make you want to go and hug your boss, right now. Reportedly, the North Korean leader removed his personal photographer for damaging his "supreme dignity". How? By blocking the crowd's view of him, his neck to be more precise, for JUST three seconds. According to Pyongyang sources, as Daily Mail wrote, he was guilty of "adjusting the angle so that the camera's flash covered the Dear and Respected Supreme Leader Comrade's neck". And that's not it, he has also been blamed for violating two more rules. One, banning photography within two metres of the ruler, and the second, prohibiting pictures or videos from being taken directly in front of him. 17. Love is supposed to empower us and make us a better version of ourselves. However, love turning into an obsession can turn one of life's most beautiful dreams into an everlasting nightmare. There are many faces of one-sided love, and we might have been witness to some ourselves. Be it Rahul from 'Darr' or Sunder from 'Raanjhanaa' obsessive lovers have existed both in real as well as reel-life. © Facebook But while the reel-life obsessive lovers make for strong topics of critique or discourse, experiencing this sort of insane obsession in real-life can make the very feeling of affection spread like acid within a person's heart, destroying every good feeling in its way, and make living life a thousand times more difficult. Such is the story of Laxmi Agarwal, who is one of India's most prominent faces of acid attack survivors, who was caught between the love and obsession of a young man, who lost sight of all reason and logic once he laid eyes on her. © Facebook Laxmi was just 15-years-old when her stalker Naeem Khan changed her life forever. Laxmi belonged to a middle-class family in Delhi and dreamt of making it big as a singer one day. But little did she know that Khan was getting obsessed with her with every passing day, and would soon propose marriage. But that is exactly how things unravelled, and Naeem confessed his love to Laxmi and asked her to marry him. Since Laxmi didn't feel the same way she rejected the proposal without realising the repercussions of being honest about her feelings. © Facebook Naeem continued to pursue Laxmi, and she kept turning down his advances. So in 2005, one day while Laxmi was headed to a bookshop in South Delhi, Naeem accompanied by two of his friends attacked Laxmi and poured acid over her face and body on Tughlaq Road. The next few months and years melted away in pain and suffering. While Laxmi lay on the road after getting attacked, nobody came forward to help here initially. It was only later when a taxi driver came forward and took her to Safdarjung Hospital. © Facebook For the next three months immediately after the attack, Laxmi underwent multiple surgeries. And over the years, Laxmi has reclaimed not only her life, but also made a difference in how our society sees and treats acid attack survivors. In 2006 she filed a PIL in the Supreme Court, seeking a complete ban on acid sale. In 2013, the court order implementation of restrictions on the sale of acid. She also became an active campaigner in the Stop Acid Attack movement. Moreover, Laxmi founded Stop Sale Acid, which is a campaign against acid violence and the sale of acid. She was recently awarded the International Women Empowerment Award 2019 for this campaign. In 2014 she was awarded the International Women of Courage award by US First Lady Michelle Obama. © Wikipedia She even fell in love with Stop Acid Attack co-founder Alok Dixit and gave birth to their daughter Pihu. However, they parted ways in the following years due to personal differences and today Laxmi is bringing up her daughter as a strong, single mother. Earlier today Deepika Padukone shared the first look of her upcoming film 'Chhapaak' which is based on Laxmi's real-life story. Deepika's character will be known as Malti in the film which is being directed by Meghna Gulzar. 'Chhapaak' goes on the floors today in New Delhi, and is set to release on 10th January 2020. © Facebook Laxmi's life may have been riddled with pain and struggles, but with every passing day, she is pushing through and giving hope to every other acid attack survivor in the country. She is an inspiration that faith and grit can help us overcome everything.
  18. One of the top performers from the current roster of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and world-renowned wrestler Finn Balor was recently in Dubai to promote Wrestlemania 35 in the Middle East. During his time in the 'City of Gold', he was a guest on the Virgin Radio, Dubai wherein, he answered some of the rather intriguing questions about his career ahead, more specifically about what is in store for him ahead of the biggest calendar event of the organisation, ie; Wrestlemania, come April. While 'The Demon King' was bombarded with questions about his rivals, whatever goes inside a wrestler's mind when he stands in front of a huge audience, his training regimen and his first day as a WWE Superstar, there was a small moment of light-hearted fun, especially for the Indian members of the 'Balor Club'. The 37-year-old Irishman was requested to narrate Indian actor and the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan's famous dialogue from the 1995 blockbuster 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'. .@FinnBalor recites @iamsrk's iconic dialogue from #DDLJ! #WWENowIndia pic.twitter.com/SW6F7ui7cp — WWE (@WWEIndia) March 25, 2019 To the utter surprise of everyone present inside the studio, Balor managed to read out the entire dialogue, which by the way, could have made for a nightmare of a tongue twister for all the other non-Hindi speakers, in one, single attempt. The former Intercontinental and Universal champion has shown his desire to take on 'The Undertaker' at Wrestlemania 35. “I would really love to fight Undertaker at WrestleMania, but given the fact that I lost the [IC] title on Monday, I think I'm gonna attempt to convince Stephanie [McMahon] who I know is here at the World Games, to get me a rematch against Bobby Lashley for the IC Title,” Balor said on The Kris Fade Show in the UAE. However, it is highly unlikely to see the Deadman inside the ring any longer as the 54-year-old Mark Calaway has already made it crystal clear that he is not fit to compete and is contemplating the idea of finally retiring as an in-ring performer for good. We can't go against nature and make something impossible happen, no matter how badly we would like to watch 'the Devil's favourite son' go against 'the Demon King'. What we can do is laugh a little on how badly that Demon King struggles to recreate a dialogue SRK delivered nearly a decade and a half ago.
  19. There is a first time for everything and this time, Delhi Capitals (DC), surprised everyone by being the first team to post a 200+ total in the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League. Posting a mammoth total of 213 in their share of 20 overs, Delhi comfortably defeated the Mumbai Indians (MI) by 37 runs in their debut match of the season. But under the stardom of Delhi, a star performer for Mumbai got lost somewhere. Yes, we are talking of none other than Mitchell McClenaghan, who produced a brilliant bowling performance last night, to build the game for his team, but as we know that cricket is a team game, he couldn't do much on his own. © Twitter/IPL Taking out both, Prithvi Shaw (opener) and Shreyas Iyer (captain) by the fifth over, he did set a solid base for his team to make good on. Unfortunately, the middle-over bowlers, the Pandya brothers (Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya, Rasikh Salam and Ben Cutting couldn't hold on to the flying start provided by the Kiwi and gave away runs at a staggering rate, which led Delhi to this humongous total. And before he could make a comeback, Rishabh Pant had already settled in well and stole the show from the MI Paltan. Taking three wickets at the cost of 40 runs in his quota of four overs, the New Zealand pacer was the ace bowler for MI. It won't be wrong to say that he was quite relieved from the pressure as Jasprit Bumrah was in his corner. © Twitter/IPL But now, as we await the final update on Bumrah's injury which he sustained while diving to his left to collect the ball on the last delivery of the innings, McClenaghan would most probably have to carry the baton ahead as the season progresses.
  20. The casual fans of the Indian Premier League (IPL) may not be aware of the name, 'Nitish Rana' who enjoyed a supreme 68-run innings in Kolkata Knight Riders' season opening game against Bhuvneshwar Kumar's SunRisers Hyderabad on Sunday. However, the left-handed batsman has made quite a name for himself in the first-class cricket circuit and has come to be known as more of a game-winning player for his side much like the former skipper of the Indian cricket team in Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rana, who hit eight boundaries and three maximums in a heroic run-chase by his KKR last evening, is a Delhi born athlete who made his first-class cricket debut during the 2015-16 season of the Ranji Trophy and ended up being the lead-scorer of the team (557). He also scored a total of 218 runs during the 2015-16 season of Vijay Hazare Trophy and was the second highest run-getter for Delhi. The 2015–16 season of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy has to be the highlight of the cricketer's career (until yesterday) during which he helped a struggling Delhi survive through tough games against Andhra, Baroda and Jharkhand whilst scoring a total of 299 runs in 8 innings at a staggering strike rate of 175.88. With an aggressive batting style and the ability to fill in the bowling lineup as a part-time off-spinner, Rana eventually made it to the roster of Team India A for the 2018-19 Deodar Trophy and the squad for last year's ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. On Sunday, Rana contributed immensely towards Kolkata's successful 183-run chase while forming a decent partnership with Robin Uthappa (35) only for Andre Russell and Shubman Gill to seal the deal and bring a great start to his side. 21. The twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) began with a promise of a scintillating contest between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) which pitted iconic stars MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli against each other. But, thanks to a raging turner at the MA Chidambaram stadium, the match turned out to be a hunting ground for spinners as CSK romped to a seven-wicket win. It was definitely not the kind of contest fans were hoping for, but it did the job for Chennai in attaining two crucial points. But, the two matches on 24th March had no shortage in terms of blistering knocks and towering hits. While Andre Russel's blazing 19-ball 49 powered Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to a six-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the third match of the season saw Rishabh Pant going hammer and tongs in his blitzkrieg of 27-ball 78 to pave way for Delhi Capitals' 37-run triumph over Mumbai Indians (MI). © Twitter/@IPL During the third match, the likes of Pant, Colin Ingram (47) and Shikhar Dhawan (43) hogged the limelight for their respective knocks, one Delhi Capitals player quietly etched his name in the history books for a unique feat. The 25-year-old took four catches against Mumbai and became the fourth fielder to do so in the history of the IPL. In the process, he joined the elite list of cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar, David Warner and Jacques Kallis who also took four catches in the IPL seasons earlier. Rahul Tewatia now joins Sachin Tendulkar, David Warner and Jacques Kallis to become the 4th fielder in #IPL history to claim 4 catches in a match.#IPL2019 #IPL12 #MIvDC — Mohandas Menon (@mohanstatsman) March 24, 2019 While his teammates upped the ante in batting and bowling departments, Tewatia made his presence felt in the field by with his safe pair of hands. His catches resulted in the dismissals of Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya - all capable of taking the game away from Delhi. Following their emphatic triumph, Delhi - tournament's perennial underachievers - romped to the No. 1 spot in the points table with two points and a stunning Net Run-Rate (NRR) of +1.850. Having defeated three-time champions Mumbai, Delhi will be eager to carry on their winning momentum when they take on mighty Chennai in their second match at the Feroz Shah Kotla on 26th March.
  22. For the longest of time, we've wanted the education board to add more meaningful subjects in the school curriculum that would help the students in the long run in the future. Well now, it looks like it's finally happening as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is introducing Artificial Intelligence (A.I) as an elective subject for the high-school students. © Pexels The same was confirmed by a member of the board's governing body who spoke to The Hindustan Times. According to the official, the decision to introduce Artificial Intelligence as a school subject was taken during a session held at the NITI Aayog. The subject would be introduced in classes 8, 9 and 10 as a skill subject, and the board decided to modernize its curriculum to help the student stay abreast of the latest developments. In addition to the introduction of the subject, the body member also noted that the board will also help building schools for the teaching-learning of the new subject from the next academic session in its capacity. The member said, “Syllabus for the new subject would be drafted for all the three classes. If required, the board will also help in the capacity building of schools for the teaching-learning of the new subject from the next academic session”. © Pexels In addition to artificial intelligence, the board has also decided to introduce yoga and early childhood education as elective subjects at senior secondary level. The CBSE has 20,299 schools in the country and 220 schools in 25 other countries affiliated to it, so we're certain that this decision will benefit a lot of students in the long run. Now, we hope more subjects like this would be added to the curriculum to help the students studying the other boards as well.
  23. Earlier this month, Imran Tahir had announced that he will retire from One-Day International (ODI) cricket after the ICC World Cup in England & Wales, slated to begin from 30th May. While the South African might have called time on his ODI career, Tahir continues to remain a vital cog for his side - something that was testified in his recent outing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). On a day, where spinners breathed fire on the raging turner, Tahir stood tall with impressive figures of 3-9 in his quota of four overs. If Harbhajan Singh (3-20) bamboozled the top-order of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the South African spinner ran through the opposition's middle-order to ensure the visitors were bowled out for a mere 70 - sixth-lowest total in IPL history. Twitter/@IPL Introduced in the 10th over, the 39-year-old struck on his second delivery of the match, dismissing Shivam Dube for just two runs. The veteran leggie, then, struck on the first delivery of his second over to send Navdeep Saini packing. Yuzvendra Chahal became his third victim of the night after his slog-sweep backfired in the 14th over. With the spinners doing all the damage early on, Chennai barely had to break a sweat as they chased the paltry total of 70 runs with seven wickets and 14 deliveries to spare. While Harbhajan took the 'Man of the Match' award, Tahir claimed the 'Purple Cap' as the leading wicket-taker in the tournament.

  25. As one of the five key players for SunRisers Hyderabad, David Warner has a crucial role to play in the twelfth season of the Indian Premier League and surely the Australian realises his role. Add to that the need for Warner to work towards getting rid of the scar on his identity due to the infamous ball-tampering case in South Africa last year and make the cricketing fans of the world realise his worth and how talented a batsman he is. What a comeback @davidwarner31 ðð#VIVOIPL #KKRvSRH pic.twitter.com/hPQ1I5QX3f — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) March 24, 2019 Warner has, time and again, poured his heart out to the public and spoken about how important are his integrity and respect in the eyes of his fans. For him, it maybe even bigger than the winning the IPL trophy for his franchise for the second time. After being found guilty of ball-tampering charges in March last year, Warner had decided to step down from his role as the captain of SunRisers only to get banned by the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) from playing the IPL altogether. This, however, cannot and did not take away any credibility from the fact that Warner has been one of the most dominating batsmen in the history of the IPL and has the silverware to prove it. Before the 2019 season began and despite missing an entire season of play, the Aussie batsmen held the record for scoring the most runs by an overseas player (4,014), most half-centuries (35) and the highest individual score by a captain (126) in the league. What a comeback @davidwarner31 ðð#VIVOIPL #KKRvSRH pic.twitter.com/hPQ1I5QX3f — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) March 24, 2019 Most importantly, Warner has been the leading run scorer of the IPL for two entire seasons and won the well-celebrated orange cap in 2015 and 2017, both of which were while he played for his current team, SunRisers Hyderabad. It looks like Warner has no intentions of getting rid of the cap anytime soon as he went off in Hyderabad's season opener, scoring 85 runs off just 53 balls which included nine 4s and three huge 6s in a loss to Dinesh Karthik's Kolkata Knight Riders. If Warner continues with his ferocious batting form, the day is not far when he will once again be known for his shots going out of the park and not for the incident that got him disgrace a year ago.
