  1. PUBG Mobile is all set to make a comeback in India after the gaming giant announced its return to the county. However, no date has been made public yet. Having said that, PUBG Mobile India will be launching under a different company name i.e. PUBG India Pvt Ltd which was registered a few days ago. The new registration points to the fact that the game is set to launch soon, but we are still waiting for official information at the time of writing this story. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The news was discovered by esports player of TSM esports group Abhijeet Andgare where he shared a screenshot of PUBG India Pvt Ltd registration details. The company has been registered in Karnataka with two high-level management positions. Having said that, PUBG India Pvt Ltd has been listed as a subsidiary of a foreign company. The application for the company registration was filed on November 21st PUBG MOBILE INDIA GETS OFFICIALLY REGISTERED 🏻️ pic.twitter.com/LOOmZQMHZs — Abhijeet Andhare (@TSMentGHATAK) November 23, 2020 After the brief announcement, fans of the game have been wondering when it will make a return in India. Some users have been able to spot the APK file of the game on third-party websites however there’s no saying how authentic they could be. Having said that, the new registration information shows that the game is indeed being prepped for a launch soon with registrations for the game open on the ‘Tap Tap’ app. © Reuters Last week the company confirmed that players will be able to bring their stats and in-game purchases from the original game. We aren’t entirely sure how this will work but seems like it will be as simple as logging into your account from the app. The game is also expected to bring India-specific changes but there is no word whether new maps will be introduced at the moment. We are keeping a close eye at the launch of the upcoming battle-royale game and will update as soon as we have more information available. View the full article

  3. Over the years, we have seen Ranveer Singh's sartorial choices go quirkier with each passing day. He simply doesn't lay low when it comes to styling and has been seen in public with some insane quirky clothes, that always carry his contagious energy and enthusiasm. His outfits are a clear embodiment of words like off-beat, eccentric and OTT. While most of us would wear the most casual clothes to the airport, Ranveer on the other hand never leaves a chance to stand out with his flamboyant style. © Viral Bhayani Let's take a detailed look at his outfit here: First, let's start with Baba's accessories. We like how he has paired his black hat with square sunglasses and add to that, his black mask with a golden chain is making his accessory game even more extravagant. Additionally, the speakers that he carries with him, wherever he goes, is also a great accessory addition here. He is wearing a simple black T-shirt, coupled with a pair of striking joggers. This is Ranveer's basic look, which he usually sports at the airport. © Viral Bhayani Ranveer also made a head-turning statement with his mules here. Even his shoes aren't remotely close to basic and one can see that they are designed with big golden rings. That's Ranveer for you all! Say what may, Ranveer looks dope in whatever he wears. Take a bow! View the full article
  4. OnePlus is back at it again with a 'T-series' upgrade and this time it's the OnePlus 8T 5G. Unlike last year, we're only getting one phone. OnePlus said it didn't have enough upgrades to make to the OnePlus 8 Pro and bring an 8T Pro version. So let's get on with the OnePlus 8T and see what it brings to the table. The OnePlus 8T sports a 6.55-inch 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display on the front with a punch-hole cutout for the camera. It's a sharp panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It's covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass for durability. © Akshay Bhalla/MensXP The Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor is at the heart of this phone and it backed by up to 12GB LPDDR4X memory to keep the performance smooth. You also get up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage inside, which is rated to give incredible read/write speeds. The OnePlus 8T also packs the Snapdragon X55 5G modem and Adreno 650 GPU for handling the graphics. In terms of the optics, you get a quad-camera setup at the back which includes a 48MP IMX586 sensor with OIS and EIS. There's also a 16MP ultrawide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture. You also get a 5MP macro lens with a 3cm focal length along with a 2MP monochrome lens. On the front, the phone sports a 16MP sensor for selfies. © Akshay Bhalla/MensXP The OnePlus 8T packs a huge 4,500 mAh battery inside to keep the internals running. The highlight of the phone this time has got to be the Warp Charge 65 Fast Charging that's capable of charging the phone real quick. We have more to talk about it in our full review, so stay tuned for that. Pricing & AvailabilityThe OnePlus 8T 5G has been launched in India for a starting price of Rs 42,999 for the base variant which comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. You can choose to get the 12GB+256GB variant for Rs 45,999. The phone will be available to purchase starting October 16 from Amazon, OnePlus' official website, and their retail stores. It'll be available in Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver color variants. View the full article
  5. There's been a lot of leaks about the OnePlus 8T and we pretty much know everything about the phone. A new leak surfaced yesterday that showed what the camera module of the phone looks like. Just minutes after that leak surfaced, the company decided to cut the drama and show us what the phone looks like. In a new video, the company showcased the phone's back design. Here, check it out. As you can see, OnePlus has decided to move the camera module from the center to the left corner. It looks more like the OnePlus Nord that launched earlier this year. In fact, it also looks very similar to the Oppo A52 that came out not too long ago. We also love the slick new green colour of the phone which is called 'Ultramarine Green'. A lot of manufacturers have started releasing phones in this new colour and we're all in for it. In fact, even Apple is expected to launch an iPhone in some shade of green on October 13. Coming back to the OnePlus 8T, the phone will be fully unveiled on October 14. The device is confirmed to feature a high refresh rate panel with support for up to 120Hz. It's also going to support 65W charging, which is great. © OnePlus Besides this, you can expect the phone to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865+ chipset and come with at least 8GB of RAM. This will also be a 5G supported phone, for those of you who are wondering. We'll have more to talk about the phone once it goes official, so stay tuned. View the full article
  6. The OnePlus 8 series is officially here and the company will be launching two new smartphones with very similar specifications but with some differences. The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are now official and we've got all the necessary information about the two phones. While the two smartphones have launched at a very tough time, hopefully, these smartphones will hit Indian shores soon. Both smartphones use similar designs as the OnePlus 7 series' near bezel-less displays and are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 chipset. Here's everything you need to know about the two OnePlus smartphones that have been launched today: OnePlus 8 The OnePlus 8 comes with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display that has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The display also comes with a refresh rate of 90Hz, similar to the OnePlus 7, 7T Pro for smoother operation and better gaming experiences. The display also supports HDR10+ video content on OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon and other streaming platforms. The display also has an internal luminescent material that helps to filter blue light and adjusts the brightness automatically. This feature is ideal for reading text in low-light environments. © Oneplus The OnePlus 8 will be available in three colours i.e. Onyx Black, Interstellar Glow, and Glacial Green. The OnePlus 8 weighs 180g and has curved glass edges, making it just 8mm thick. The smartphone comes with a glass back for the black and interstellar glow variant while the Glacial Green has a matte-glass finish. © One Plus In the camera department, the OnePlus 8 comes with a triple-camera setup at the back where it uses a 48MP main camera sensor in the middle, a 16MP ultra-wide camera and an additional macro sensor. The ultra-wide sensor has a field of view of 116-degrees and also has support for night mode. The main 48MP shooter is a Sony IMX586 that features both EIS and OIS stabilisation. The main sensor has an aperture of f/1.75 for clearer images as it lets in more light. OnePlus has also introduced a new mode where it can capture shots of pets. The OnePlus camera app can now recognise a pet's facial features and can focus better and take clearer pictures. The mode is currently only applicable to cats and dogs for the moment. © One Plus The OnePlus 8 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 chipset and is 5G ready as well. The chipset has been coupled with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The OnePlus 8 also comes with support for WiFi 6 for network speeds of up to 9.6 Gbps In terms of battery, the OnePlus 8 comes with 4300mAh and can be fast-charged with WarpCharge 30T. OnePlus claims the smartphone can be charged from 1 to 50% in 22 minutes. OnePlus 8 Pro © One Plus The second model is a more premium offering by the company and it comes with top-of-the-line specifications and additional features fans have been requesting for years. For starters, the OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED display and support for HDR10+ content. The display also has a refresh rate of 120Hz and the company claims to have made 150 visual optimisations across OxygenOS for the phone. The phone also comes with MEMC support where it converts standard 24FPS videos to 120FPS to reduce motion blur, stuttering and ghosting. The display has a resolution of 3168x1440 and has an aspect ratio of 19.8:9. The OnePlus 8 Pro will be available in three colours i.e. Glacial Green, Onyx Black and Ultramarine Blue. © One Plus In the camera department, the OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a quad-camera setup where it has a 48MP main camera, 48MP ultra-wide sensor, a 3x Telephoto lens and a separate colour filter camera. The new Color Filter Camera can add new lighting effects and filters to your images. The smart pet capture feature also makes a return from OnePlus 8 and will work in a similar fashion. © One Plus In terms of what powers the phone, the OnePlus 8 Pro also uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 chipset and has 5G connectivity. The chipset has been coupled with 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The OnePlus 8 Pro also comes with support for WiFi 6 for network speeds of up to 9.6 Gbps. The new LPDDR5 RAM is expected to increase memory speeds by 30% and also consume 20% less power. © One Plus Similar to the OnePlus 8, the Pro variant also has support for 30W wired charging however the phone also comes with Warp Charge 30 Wireless. The smartphone has a 4,510mAh battery and can be charged wirelessly to 50% in 30 minutes. The phone also comes with Reverse Wireless Charging for juicing up accessories like earphones and smartwatches or even other phones. Pricing Both the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro come in two variants and will be priced as follows: OnePlus 8 8GB + 128GB: $699 12GB + 256GB: $799 OnePlus 8 Pro 8GB + 128GB: $899 12GB + 256GB: $999 The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will available from April 29th via open sale in other regions however it is not clear when the smartphnes will be available for shipments to customers in India. We will know more about the Indian pricing of the smartphones soon so keep an eye out when we get official word. View the full article

  8. Instead of their usual pictures, everyone has now been sharing a collage of their pictures and honestly, that's the only thing people have posted these past few days. 9. Foldable phones became a thing of last year and it was natural to see the foldable screen technology trickle down to laptops sometime soon. That day has finally come when Lenovo showed off its first foldable laptop that uses a prototype OLED display. It folds up like a folder and the company is looking to sell this as a commercial product sometime soon. The laptop is called the ThinkPad X1 Fold and will be available sometime this year. © BCCL/PCMag The display on the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold uses a 13.3-inch 4:3 OLED panel and has a resolution of 2048 x 1536. That's roughly the same size as a 9.7-inch iPad and looks quite portable too. The device currently runs on Windows 10 Pro and not the Windows 10x; a specific operating system for folding devices that is scheduled to release later this year. It would be interesting to see if this foldable device by laptop would adopt that operating system. At the moment, the laptop uses a customised pop-up menu which can switch between a single full-screen mode to a dual-screen mode. While using the X1 Fold as a tablet in portrait mode, users can use the touch screen display for keyboard input. It also comes with a Bluetooth keyboard that can be attached to the foldable device via magnets. There is an inbuilt kickstand to keep the foldable laptop upright while typing on the keyboard accessory. © BCCL/PCMag The obvious advantage of using a foldable laptop is convenience and the fact that it has a smaller footprint due to its folding capabilities. It weighs less than 1KG and can transform into a PC whenever required thanks to the different screen modes it supports. Currently, not much is known about the performance as Lenovo has not detailed the specific CPU it will be using. However, Lenovo claims it can last up to 11 hours on a single charge. © YouTube/Cnet Lenovo says that the X1 Fold will ship sometime in mid-2020 and will retail for $2,499 (Rs 1,79,397.50). The X1 Fold definitely comes with a hefty price tag especially considering it is still a prototype at this stage. However, since it is the world's first folding laptop, the price may not be a factor for tech enthusiasts who simply want to own something experimental, exclusive and innovative as the Lenovo X1 Fold. 10. The streaming wars are officially underway with Disney entering the fray in India. And Disney, mind you, isn't entering as a newcomer. It has invested some $3 billion and is banking on a lot of nostalgia. Disney+ has the entire Star Wars collection in 4K, every Marvel movie released to date, a ton of original content including the highly anticipated Star Wars spinoff show The Mandalorian, and a whole lot more. So, how can you watch everything? Well, the service is officially available only in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands for now, so you can't exactly download Disney Plus and get started anywhere outside. © Disney But don't worry! We've got you covered. I spent almost the entire night trying to figure out how to get it working in India, and it was all worth the effort in the end because I managed to get it working. And guess what, I finished watching the first episode of The Mandalorian with a huge smile on my face too. It's so good! Anyway, if you're wondering how to use Disney+ here in India, then here's a comprehensive guide to help you get started and try Disney+ free for a week - Note: You must follow each and every step carefully without skipping or making any mistakes. Failing to do so will take you to a page with an error message, and it won't work. Disney+ On Android © Disney Step 1: Download the Disney+ app APK from APKPure. Install the 'ApkPure' app first and then install Disney+ from there. Step 2: Once you have the Disney+ app, it's time to get it working. Download Cloudflare's "1.1.1.1" app to get past Disney+'s geo-block. Click here to download it on your Android device. Step 3: After that, simply open the Disney+ app and it should take you to the welcome screen which looks something like this - © MensXP If not, then just search for "Disney Plus" on Google and tap the official website link (mostly the first link), click on "Log In" and hit "Disney+" when prompted. It'll take you to the app and show you the welcome page. This will only work if you're connected to 'WARP' inside the 1.1.1.1 app. Step 4: Now, simply hit the "Start Free Trial" button, following which you'll be given an option to select the subscription plan. Choose the desired plan and make the card verification payment of Re 1 (refunded immediately) to get started. © MensXP That's it. You have now subscribed to Disney+ and have access to all the Disney+ content free for seven days. Disney+ on iOS Step 1: Start by downloading the Disney+ app. You can download the app by changing the location of the App Store to the US by going to settings from inside the App Store. This may not work if you have an on-going subscription on the App Store because Apple won't let you change the location in that case. Step 2: Once you have the Disney+ app, download Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 app from here. Once done, open it and connect to the "WARP" mode. This is an important step or else it won't work. © MENSXP Step 3: Now simply open the Disney+ app which should take you to the welcome page with a button to "Start Free Trial". If not, then search for Disney Plus on google and hit the official link to open the app from there. Step 4: Click on the "Start Free Trial" button, select your desired plan and finish your verification payment of Re 1 (refunded immediately) to get started. And that's it! You've now subscribed to Disney+. Now, you can continue enjoying Disney+ on your phone itself by connecting to 1.1.1.1 or by installing a VPN extension for Google Chrome on your web browser on the computer to log in and use Disney+ there. I suggest you use "Windscribe" extension on Google Chrome because it's easy to get free data on it. You can also choose to use the VPN service of your choice, but you'll need a lot of VPN data to stream the content. © MENSXP I must point out that it's a little tricky to get the Disney+ app for your Android TV, Mac, etc. right now in India, so it's best if you use it on a phone or play it on your computer via the web browser and use HDMI to watch it on the TV. That's how I watched The Mandalorian and it was a kickass experience. If you have any queries about the procedure, then be sure to drop a comment and we'll try to get it resolved. We're not sure when Disney is planning to launch the service separately in India or integrating it within Hotstar as notified earlier, but this is the only way to use Disney+ in India right now. Good luck and enjoy the content. "May the force be with you!" View the full article
  11. It's happening, guys, Ant-Man 3 is coming! After there was no sign of the tiny (and sometimes huge) superhero in the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), everyone just assumed that we won't be getting any more of Paul Rudd's great character, not for a while at least, but Marvel has always been full of surprises. The only thing we know about the third instalment of this trilogy is that it'll come out in 2022 and that Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, along with Peyton Reed, the director of Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp, will be returning for this as well. Fans were upset because Ant-Man never got the recognition and appreciation it deserves, even after literally saving the world in Avengers: Endgame, but this news changes everything. Everyone's excited that the most wholesome actor in Hollywood - Paul Rudd - is finally getting what he deserves, that too with a movie in which no one else can play the character better than him. We all thought that 2021 would be the best year for Marvel with literally so many things releasing - Shang Chi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Spider-Man 3, Wandavision, Loki, What If..?, Hawkeye - but 2022 is going to give its previous year some competition now. With this new announcement, Ant-Man 3 will join Black Panther 2 and quite possibly the Captain Marvel sequel. These three movies will most likely be a part of the fifth phase and we'll just have to wait and see what else Kevin Fiege has in store for us. Moreover, the Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse sequel was also announced today, so, basically, it's a great day to be a Marvel fan. 12. It is the beginning of a new era for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), an era of presidency after 33 months of being led and administered by the Supreme Court-backed Committee of Administrators (CoA). The former captain of the Indian cricket team and a former member of the CoA, Sourav Ganguly is set to assume his position as the President of the Indian cricket board, today. His appointment as the most important official in all of Indian cricket came as a surprise to the entire nation especially when he was unanimously elected as the President during an “informal meeting”, a day ahead of the deadline. Nonetheless, Ganguly at the helm of things for Indian cricket is good for both domestic and international cricket as he brings two very important aspects to the table; youth (he is 47 years old) and the independent attitude to make bold decisions. Both of these were lacking in the organisation for a really long period of time. With the transfer of power finally taking place today, here is a list of things Ganguly must do as the BCCI President: 1. Day-Night Test Matches © Twitter Some of the orthodox fans of the game have shown discontent towards the idea of having day-night Test matches for a number of reasons; however, the fact of the matter is that the pink-ball format is a solution to the loss of interest the Test cricket is experiencing lately. Considered to be more of a broadcasting game, the day-night matches will give the audience the opportunity to sit back and watch the game in peace at the end of a busy day and will be a lot more aesthetically pleasing just like Twenty20 cricket. Personally, Ganguly is in favour of this change and has called it “inevitable”. 2. Restructure The 'Cooling-Off' Period © Reuters The idea of the 'cooling-off' period in the BCCI is healthy and in favour of the organisation. Making a BCCI official take some time off from their position at the Board would prevent the possibility of the organisation becoming a particular person's family business. However, the execution of this idea needs to be considered. According to the amendments made by the Supreme Court in 2018, any person who holds an office with the Indian cricket board or its state-level subsidiaries or both for two consecutive terms (for six consecutive years) must go on a 'cooling-off' period of three years before contesting for another spot. Six years of being in office practically goes against the very idea of letting one person hold an office for too long. It enables them to place a system so rigid that changing it with the evolving needs of time becomes almost impossible. Conversely, a three-year time-off from the organisation can lead to loss of momentum for an official who is trying to bring about a change in the organisation for good. Ganguly is also going to fall prey to this same issue because of which the former skipper is allowed to be the BCCI President just until July 2020. 3. Revamping 'Conflict Of Interest' © Twitter The so called “conflict of interest” in its current model is one of the most confusing and hypocritical “provisions” introduced under the administration of the CoA that has caused major loss of services to the players and veterans in the past. The Vinod Rai-led committee itself appointed a particular individual as the ethics officer and ombudsman, violating the essence of 'conflict of interest'. Also, one of the members continued to partake in CoA activities despite being over 70 years of age. Ideally speaking, an incident or an event should not be considered to be a conflict unless it causes some sort of danger or harm to another party. As suggested by The Hindu's Suresh Menon, the addition of the phrase “material difference” should be included in the rules to further clarify what falls under the ambit of 'conflict of interest'. 4. Making First Class Cricket More Valuable © Twitter Evidently, the first and the biggest concern that Ganguly said he would address was to look after first class cricket in the country. While Ranji Trophy players earn around Rs. 35,000 per day of the match and get provisions like free flight tickets and five-star hotel stays, it still feels like more of an audition for the Indian Premier League and that's about it. Additionally, the life of a domestic cricketer in India isn't as rosy as it sounds. While the top-tier players earn a fortune with the top-salary annual contract of Rs. 7 crore from the BCCI and IPL contracts worth up to Rs. 17 crore, it is the rest of the players, about 1,000 of them who work on a daily-wage basis with no financial security. “My first priority will be to look after first class cricketers. I had requested to the CoA and they have not listened. Ranji Trophy cricket will be the focus. To take care of cricketers' financial interest," the cricketer had said.
  13. E3 kicks off today with EA Play but the company has already made the release date of FIFA 20 official. The game is all set to launch on September 27 but the publisher did not divulge any other more information about the upcoming game. Tonight's EA Play will be the platform where the company will reveal more details about the game; however, we do know some details that will make the game a bit better. 8.6.19 https://twitter.com/hashtag/FIFA20?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#FIFA20 https://twitter.com/hashtag/EAPLAY?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#EAPLAY https://t.co/aHA9Vq8fg6">https://t.co/aHA9Vq8fg6 https://t.co/TEKuEU7ACW">pic.twitter.com/TEKuEU7ACW — EA SPORTS FIFA (@EASPORTSFIFA) https://twitter.com/EASPORTSFIFA/status/1136648999073529856?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 6, 2019 EA did, however, confirm some gameplay changes that will make the game better than FIFA 19 this year. The most crucial change comes is in the AI defending mechanics as the company wants to put more emphasis on manual defending rather than letting the computer do it for you. EA plans to increase the likelihood of the ball going to your teammate after a manual tackle on your opponent. Automatic defending will also be affected as the efficient and reaction time will be reduced. This will let players hone their defending skills and depend less on the computer for defending. (c) Electronic Arts In terms of shooting, EA wants to improve accuracy during one on one or easy attacking scenarios. Goalkeeper's reaction times will also be reduced in these type of situations in order to give it a more realistic approach to defending and attacking. FIFA 19 players have complained in the past about keepers having “Superhuman" reaction times. Even when shooting, the green timed shots are also being reduced to two frames for all shots. The green timed shots are also becoming less accurate to increase the challenge of scoring a goal. EA did, however, reassure players that green timed shots will "still be more accurate than non-timed shots.” (c) Electronic Arts EA is also working hard on making the shooting and passing more realistic were volleys will be more variable, and less accurate. In terms of passing, if you pass a ball while doing a 180° turn, it will be a weaker pass than normal and also be less accurate. New passing options are also being introduced i.e. a new dinked pass where it won't be automatic anymore. It will be more contextual rather than be user-controlled. The other new passing option will be a driven pass-and-go feature which will replace the manual pass button combo.
  14. From 'Twilight' to 'Batman', from Forks to Gotham, Robert Pattinson has come a long long way. Yep, he is officially the new Batman, and obviously, a lot of people aren't excited about that. But, for people who hate him just because he was in 'Twilight', I would just like to remind you that he hated the movies more than anyone could ever do. No actor will ever hate their own movie as passionately as Robert Pattinson hated Twilight pic.twitter.com/gEcWJFQ8vz — Professor Snape (@_Snape_) May 31, 2019 He was very smart, to be honest. He did this huge franchise, earned a lot of money and then went and did all the Indie movies he wanted. That deserves respect. Now that this is out of the way, let's come back to the huge news. 'The Batman' is all set to start shooting this summer and will be released about two years from now, in June 2021. That's quite a long wait but since they just finalised the main lead, we'll have to wait a long time to see how RPattz (does anyone even call him that anymore?) does as the caped crusader. While we know that he's a good actor, a lot of people don't agree with him being the new Batman and are not holding back in showing their disapproval. But, it's okay, a lot of people are in favour of it as well. Im still not ok with Robert Pattinson being #Batman - approved or nothttps://t.co/4GHM7tInXq — Chi Chi Izundu (@blondeafro) May 31, 2019 Two very different opinions. Ok but Robert Pattinson's jaw is gonna look amazing in that cowl. — Kevin Wada (@kevinwada) May 31, 2019 No one can top that, ever. 15. 'Gaming Addiction' is something that we've been hearing a lot lately, thanks to the influx of popular online multiplayer titles like PUBG Mobile, Fortnite and more. But if you find yourself locked in a room gaming all the time ignoring the world, then you have a serious illness, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). That's right, WHO has revised the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-11), and it now, for the first time, includes 'Gaming Disorder' as an addictive behavior disorder. The revision takes effect on January 1, 2022. © Pexels The International Classification of Diseases is a system for classifying diseases and disorders for purposes of epidemiological research, health care management and billing, and clinical treatment. There's a chapter that's set aside for “mental, behavioral or neurodevelopmental disorders,” and gaming is listed there now. You'd be surprised to find out that 'Gaming Disorder' is now listed right after 'Gambling' in ICD-11 and uses the description word-for-word, replacing “gambling” with “gaming”. It says, “Gaming Disorder is a pattern of persistent or recurrent gaming behavior ('digital gaming' or 'video-gaming'), which may be online (i.e., over the internet) or offline.” The proposed disorder manifests in three different ways - © Pexels Those with gaming disorder may show “impaired control over gaming,” “increasing priority given to gaming to the extent that gaming takes precedence over other life interests and daily activities,” and “continuation or escalation of gaming despite the occurence of negative consequences.” In response to WHO's decision, a lot of industry experts from around the world called out the organisation and asked to rethink its decision. “It's not based on sufficiently robust evidence”, the experts said. Well, we don't know about the experts, but we do believe that we all should collectively do something about “gaming disorder” and the growing concerns around it. We can't let games like PUBG Mobile mess up relationships and put people's lives in jeopardy. It needs to be stopped.
  16. Everyone knows what a disappointment the final episode of the biggest and much-loved TV series was, but was it the worst episode ever? Apparently, yes. The entire eighth season of 'Game of Thrones' has obviously received all the hate that it can get for ruining the entire series by just giving us the most unsatisfying ending while basically abandoning so many story arcs. Yes, a lot of things happening didn't make sense and totally out of character and the last episode turned out to be the worst offender. The finale now has a low rating of 4.4 out of 10 and this is a show that always had almost perfect rating earlier for all the episodes. Yep, fans are mad, and rightly so. Before this season, the lowest rated episode was 'Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken' which I feel was mainly because of the last scene where Ramsay Bolton rapes Sansa Stark on their wedding night while making Theon - or Reek - watch. Comparing this to the finale, the season five episode still had an 8.1 rating. While it's disappointing how the show went from being the best to the worst so quickly, it's really not surprising since no one has held back from expressing what they really thought of the last ever episode of Game of Thrones. The final two episodes of #GameofThrones are the lowest rated of the series: https://t.co/u2W9bSHLeL pic.twitter.com/Rk9Bml4Izj — El monstruo del cine (@godzineblog) May 21, 2019 Good point. Now everyone hates game of thrones, I have to laugh. We make things become objects of adoration for years to then drag them down to the lowest level in a matter of seconds, why do you all forget so fast about the good things it brought to you??? — ð¦ (@7thsenseus) May 22, 2019 But. Game of Thrones actors don't get a say in whether or not the show ended well. They're on the inside. They're seeing friends working hard onscreen and will defend them. I respect their opinion on the viewer outrage, but this IS the lowest ranked finale, and there's reason for it.. — Kyle (@standrkm) May 22, 2019 Peacefully. me going to sleep knowing that episode 6 is the lowest rated episode in game of thrones history pic.twitter.com/gPiq2b9OU3 — maia (@amidalastark) May 21, 2019 Another kinda valid point, I guess. i get that this last season has been underwhelming but y'all are CHILDISH for rating this last run of episodes so low. the previous lowest rated episode was an 8.1, for reference. come on now. #GameOfThrones pic.twitter.com/tfsOuqW3hF — Jeff Zoldy (@jeffzoldy) May 20, 2019

  18. The most-anticipated console of the next generation is going to be the PlayStation 5 and even though it won't launch in 2019, Sony has confirmed many specifications already. Sony may have decided to skip E3 this year, however, PlayStation 4's lead architect Mark Cerny has delivered some of the details that we've been speculating for months. © Youtube ps4 In an exclusive report by Wired, Cerny detailed some details that will make the PS5 super powerful. There are some key hardware upgrades that will make the PS5 one of the most anticipated consoles in the next generation. The console will have a very powerful GPU and CPU that will be based on AMD's eight-core Ryzen chips. The new cores will be built on AMD's 7nm Zen 2 architecture and a custom Navi board. The custom board will have support extremely high-end graphics and features like ray tracing. The powerful CPU will let games run smoothly and better in terms of frame rates. It will also result in shorter load times and a better overall experience than the PlayStation 4. The improved CPU will also play a vital role in ray tracing support. Ray tracing is basically a feature that was first unveiled by Nvidia on their latest 20 series GPUs. It enables better lighting effects, shadows and reflections. If you want to know more about ray tracing, you can read our detailed guide here. Other improvements include 3D audio will be most noticeable when playing on headsets. Cerny confirmed that even television speakers will take advantage of this feature as the upgrade is on the hardware level. The other major hardware upgrade would be the inclusion of SSDs. The consoles will be shipped with in-built SSDs that will reduce load times considerably. The SSD on the PS5 is said to be different from what's available in the market right now and is said to be even faster. © Pexels In terms of hardware, Cerny did not mention anything else, however, he did mention something in terms of software. Cerny confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will have backward compatibility which means you will be able to play your PS4 games on the console. The console is also said to have support for PS VR and will get a next-gen upgrade at some point. With the confirmations, we can confidently say that Sony has now set the bar for next-gen consoles. We will know more about the PS5 closer to its launch and that won't be until 2020. What remains a mystery now is how Microsoft will respond with the next Xbox console. Source: Wired
  19. TikTok, a popular video sharing app that boasts over half a billion users worldwide, has officially been banned in India. The app is no longer available to download from both the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store as of today. The ban follows a request from the state court a few weeks back, asking the government to ban the app. Both Google and Apple were sent a directive earlier this week by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology(MeITY), asking them to remove TikTok from their respective stores in India. © MensXP Why, you ask? Well, high court had accused TikTok of allegedly 'encouraging pornography'. People were apparently using it for pornographic purposes. That said, this move definitely comes has a surprise since the app has been downloaded by over 230 million users in the country. Needless to say, the ban will most definitely affect TikTok's growth. © Reuters In an official statement, TikTok said it has faith in the Indian Judicial system. “At TikTok, we have faith in the Indian Judicial system and the stipulations afforded to social media platforms by the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011. 21. We've already seen a ton of leaks in the last few weeks about the Galaxy S10 and the wait is finally coming to an end. Samsung has announced the launch of S10 today at its Unpacked event in San Francisco. This year's launch is extremely important for the company since the S-series was launched exactly 10 years ago. In the last decade, the S-lineup has played a pivotal role in making Samsung one of the largest smartphone makers in the world. The series has successfully defeated LG, HTC, Sony, and even Google's offerings in the past. To make things even more interesting, Samsung has launched three variants of the phone instead of the usual duo. The S10 is available in three options: the S10e, S10, and S10+. The S10e is being targeted as a slightly cheaper variant of the flagship and it incorporates a majority of the elder sibling's offerings. The S10 is the main flagbearer and lastly, the S10+ has a few more power features along with a larger display. The flagship smartphone Galaxy S10 has a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole front camera that Samsung calls Infinity-O. The proximity and ambient light sensor are now located behind the display. Instead of Samsung Experience UI, the new S10 ships with a new skin called One UI. It is built around focus blocks and has segregated viewing to provide more productivity options and use maximum area of the display. Under the hood is an Exynos 9820 (Snapdragon 855 in the US) processor, coupled along with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. At the rear is a triple camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 12-megapixel dual aperture sensor with optical image stabilization, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. On the front is a single "dual-pixel" sensor that is located inside the display punch-hole. The software is capable of recognising 30 scenes and adjusts the capturing settings accordingly. For authentication, Samsung is now relying on an in-display fingerprint scanner as well as face unlock. Backing these internals is a 3400mAh battery and the company has added a host of new charging features. This includes wireless PowerShare that can reverse charge another device. In simpler words, the phone can be used as a portable power bank to wirelessly charge compatible accessories like Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds. It'll be available in Prism White and Prism Black. Coming to the S10e, it houses the same processor as the S10 along with 6GB RAM and a slightly smaller 5.8-inch AMOLED display. Even the battery has been reduced down to 3100mAh and it doesn't get the 12-megapixel telephoto lens on the rear. The S10e will be available in Prism White colour only. The S10+, on the other hand, gets a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and has a dual camera set up on the front in a wider punch-hole. Even the battery has been boosted to 4100mAh and will be available in an additional Prism Green colour. It shares the same processor, but gets two variants in memory: 8GB+128GB and 12GB+1TB (yes, 1 T!). The 1TB storage variant is available in Ceramic Black colour option. Samsung has also announced the availability of Galaxy Ecosystem, and it consists of Galaxy Buds, Wireless Combo Charge power bank, and Wireless Charger Duo (charger). The brand is also partnering with Marvel and selling "Galaxy Friends" covers that have a design of Iron Man, Spiderman, Captain America, and the Avengers. Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e will be available in Prism White, Prism Black, Prism Blue and Flamingo Pink. Galaxy S10+ will also be available in two premium Ceramic models: Ceramic Black and Ceramic White. Preorders for the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e begin tomorrow, February 21, 2019. Pricing starts at $899.99 for Galaxy S10, $999.00 for Galaxy S10+ and $749.99 for Galaxy S10e. India pricing and availability will be known soon.

  23. I still remember how a lot of people, including yours truly, were sceptical about Ben Affleck stepping into the formidable shoes of Christian Bale as the caped crusader of Gotham. via GIPHY It made no sense to watch the role be handed over to someone, who in no way, showed any traits of being able to pull off such an iconic role, which was revered by both the DC and Marvel fandoms with scary devotion. via GIPHY However, when Affleck showed up in 'Batman v Superman' as the brooding Bruce Wayne, with a hint of dark humour thrown in, I was pleasantly surprised. Sure he did not bring the same magic as Bale, not that anyone expected him to, but he brought in something else altogether new, and the people were liking what they were seeing. via GIPHY Of course, there was the usual parade of complainants, ranting on about what a colossal disappointment Affleck was and how he was a disgrace to the legacy of Bale, but that did not deter the next string of his movies as Batman from making a big splash. via GIPHY And now, in a recent development signalling tectonic changes in the DC franchise, Affleck has officially hung his cape as Batman, giving way to a new Dark Knight to take his spot. via GIPHY The next Batman movie, which is slated for release on June 25th 2021, will now star a new actor in the lead role, as Warner Brothers want a younger looking Bruce Wayne, according to Deadline. via GIPHY Affleck took to Twitter to confirm the development. Excited for #TheBatman in Summer 2021 and to see @MattReevesLA vision come to life. https://t.co/GNgyJroMIO — Ben Affleck (@BenAffleck) January 31, 2019 Obviously, fans have begun flooding Twitter with their tributes to Affleck's significant contribution in the franchise: Writing has been on the wall for a while with Ben Affleck and Batman. But even still, finally getting the confirmation still feels like a gut punch His role in Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad was the closest to comic book Batman we've seen. 24. Sneakers have always been an integral part of men's fashion, but the Indian 'fashionscape' didn't quite get that memo for a very long time, unfortunately so. However, in the truest Bollywood spirit that deals with redemption bordering on low-key overcompensation, it caught on, and how! 2018 has been the year of 'Sneakerheads', and here are the 5 men who are responsible for that. 1. Ranveer Singh Ranveer Singh can't not be a part of any list that has got to do with fashion, and the sooner haters understand it, the better it is. Yes, he's always occupying the headlines, but there is a solid reason. The man is a powerhouse of fashion, and his pop colour sneaker game is so strong, that the only thing coming in its way is his own sartorial flamboyance (the bit minus the sneakers). © IANS © IANS © IANS © IANS © IANS 2. Diljit Dosanjh Diljit, the desi boy turned international hypebeast style icon, has an insane collection of sneakers, and he obsesses over them, rightfully so. From the bulky Balenciagas to the statement Vetements, DD swears by every sneaker that is legit thunder-stealing material, and we stand by him. © Instagram/Diljitdosanjh © Instagram/Diljitdosanjh © Instagram/Diljitdosanjh © Instagram/Diljitdosanjh © Instagram/Diljitdosanjh 3. Anand Ahuja Anand Ahuja is perhaps the only celebrity in the country who is a sneakerhead in the truest sense of the term. The popular narrative may say that Anand has married the biggest fashionista in the country, but we beg to differ, and in fact would like to state that Sonam has married the biggest sneakerhead in the country. Anand is the owner of 'Veg Non Veg', India's first multibrand sneaker store. (Also, remember the 'woah' fashion moment when he wore sneakers with a Sherwani to his wedding reception?) © Instagram/Anandahuja © Instagram/Anandahuja © Instagram/Anandahuja © Instagram/Anandahuja © Instagram/Anandahuja 4. Karan Johar KJo likes all things dramatic, and his role as a sneakerhead can conveniently be summed up by this one narrative. From glittery pieces to shimmery numbers to OTT neon colours, Karan Johar is all about statement sneakers that the lesser mortals won't dare try (neither can afford, sigh). © Instagram/Karanjohar © Instagram/Karanjohar © Instagram/Karanjohar © Instagram/Karanjohar © Instagram/Karanjohar 5. Badshah Bad Boy Shah has sneaked (and rapped) his way into this list with such conviction, that his tracks famously impart on dancers with two left feet on every weekend party. Just when we thought Diljit is the only musician who is ruling the mainstream (and international) fashion scene, in came Badshah, bombarding us with fashion grenades through his Instagram (and his appearances). © Instagram/Badboyshah © Instagram/Badboyshah © Instagram/Badboyshah © Instagram/Badboyshah © Instagram/Badboyshah Putting some money in the 'afford nice sneakers' jar, brb!
