  2. A reporterâs job might seem easy but believe us, it isnât. From dealing with hostile weather conditions to being spontaneous on live television and tackling unruly public, the challenges never cease to end. A video has recently surfaced on the internet, in which an Iraqi weatherman is reporting in hostile weather conditions undeterred by the unruly passersby. © Twitter Safan Al Madany Despite the continuous snowball attacks on him by the passersby, the viral video showcases him continuing with his live reporting completely undisturbed. This reaction of the weatherman has now won hearts online. 3. The goal of every client here in the Invision peer community, myself included, is to launch and run successful communities. Whether I’m going to be able to achieve that success in the new year depends entirely on trying these 10 steps. I know if that if I stick to these steps, then my community will grow – and I know if you follow along, your community will too. 10. Ignore Google Google makes me laugh; Google makes me cry; Google makes me want to pitch myself into the freezing icy waters of the San Francisco bay. But focusing on Google’s up-and-down volatility isn’t what is going to make my community successful. It’s a distraction, and at worst, a wrong commitment of attention. 9. Remember My Past Sins I’ve made every mistake imaginable – including over-the-top themes, too many customizations, and chasing after dream goals. The very worst is not making a database backup, then losing everything. Most of us came up through the School of Hard Knocks, and we should learn from those experiences. 8. Treat Every Person as Gold Members are the beating heart of your community, and are truly what makes your community special. I’m committed to taking time out every day to message, comment, or reply to 3 new people to cultivate new relationships. 7. Practice x3 Nobody is perfect the first time they try something. Thomas Edison famously stated that he found 10,000 ways for a lightbulb to not work, and 1 way that it did. Whether you’re publishing new content or designing a template, refine it multiple times. 6. Start as a Guest I don’t do this enough and I always find something surprising when I do. Either something is missing, something can be improved, or something is wrong. The guest experience is the very first impression a visitor will have, and it can shape all of his future expectations. 5. Less is More It’s easy to get sidetracked and to let your community get bloated with content and features. It’s better to be amazing in one domain expertise: you offer the most authority, the most trusted content, the latest news, or the most comprehensive overview. Excite members by being the best at what you do. De-emphasize, consolidate, or archive everything else as needed. 4. It’s Not the Feature; Its What the Feature Does It’s easy to think that because IPS ships with a new feature, then you should use it. You don’t. You should always pre-qualify the feature by asking how the feature can help you better engage with your community, how does it engage, and how can you customize the feature even better for your members? 3. Bring Your Superusers Along Even though I invite my superusers into a special private feedback group, I don’t leverage their knowledge, experience, or perspective enough. I recently asked for feedback about a particular feature, and it turns out none of them use it! 2. Experiment & Learn There’s always something new to learn, explore, and implement. It's my personal goal to enrich my personal skillsets in areas like leadership, team building, mentoring, emotional intelligence, organizational behavior, and psychology for more effective community management. On the promotion side, you can learn about email marketing, digital marketing, social media, creating rich media, and more. On the content side, you can always improve your content writing skills, emotive writing, keyword research, and the multiple use of one piece in different formats. 1. Enjoy the Journey For any community admin who sticks with his community for several years, you can get burned out. I know the feeling, and I like to periodically remind myself about what I enjoy running the community. There’s so much to learn and do that it can feel overwhelming, so it’s important to take every day in 2020 one day at a time.
  4. Google launched one of our favourite smartphones, the Pixel 3A in early 2019 and the smartphone surprised us all with what it was capable of. It was a smartphone that came with a great camera, balanced specifications and a more affordable price tag. However, new renders of the Pixel 4a have now leaked online and it shows us what the smartphone will look like. © 91Mobiles These are the first set of pictures that are based on the CAD files of the upcoming smartphone. The renders were published by 91mobiles and @Onleakes that shows a design similar to the Pixel 4. However, the most notable change is the punch-hole display as the Pixel 3a came with noticeable bezels. The punch-hole camera is positioned in the top-left part of the display and also allows the smartphone to have slimmer bezels. The Pixel 4a renders show that the smartphone will not have Pixel 3's larger forehead that housed different sensors for Motion Sense gestures. Since these sensors are not present on the smartphone, we aren't sure whether the smartphone will have Google's face unlock feature or not. In terms of camera arrangement, the Pixel 4a looks like it will have only one sensor in a similar camera module as the Pixel 4. The primary sensor is rumoured to be a 12.2 MP lens and will work similarly to the camera on the Pixel 3a. The Pixel 4a is also expected to come with a USB-C charging port and a 35mm headphone jack. © 91Mobiles In terms of specs, the Pixel 4a is expected to feature a 5.7-inch display and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 730 or 765 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. 5. Ed Sheeran has once again criticized the Internet trolls who called him fat, forcing him to delete his Twitter account a couple of years ago. According to Mirror, the trolls called him "fat" and "chunky" after which the singer decided to delete his Twitter account. The 208-year-old singer-songwriter said he lost four stone after receiving hateful messages from online haters. The singer said it was those abusive messages that forced him to delete his Twitter in 2017. He weighed 16st at the time. “I never had insecurities and people pointed them out — your brain starts thinking about them. It all stems from other people’s insecurities. So many people have things they’re insecure about so it makes them feel better to point out someone else’s,” he was quoted by Mirror as saying. "Because half the people that would point out that I’m fat are probably fat themselves.” His wife Cherry helped him lose weight by setting up a balanced diet and good exercise pattern. Ed conceded that he used to have bangers and mash, a pudding and loads of pint when he used to visit a pub. “My friends used to call me Two Dinners Teddy. On tour, it’s very easy to drink every single day because there’s always someone visiting.
  6. Days after the lawyers’ attack on the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), a new video has surfaced on micro-blogging website Twitter in which a lawyer can be seen slapping a motorcyclist. In the video a lawyer can be seen stopping a motorcyclist passing between the protesting lawyers and snatching his motorcycle keys. After an exchange of words, the lawyer slapped the man prompting others present there to intervene. After Wednesday’s attack on PIC, videos have been coming out on social media showing the violent acts committed by the lawyers.A group of more than 200 lawyers, following an earlier quarrel with the PIC doctors, stormed the hospital, vandalised property and damaged dozens of vehicles parked in the hospital premises. They had also set ablaze a police van during their assault.Three people had lost their lives amidst the mayhem as doctors abandoned their patients to escape the mob. The police have registered a first information report (FIR) against 200-250 unidentified lawyers on the complaint of an official of the PIC.The case has been registered under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including 322 (qatl-bis-sabab), 452 (trespassing), 353 (assault to deter public servant from performing duty), 354 (assault on woman to outrage her modesty), 148 (rioting with deadly weapon), 395 (dacoity) as well as Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).
  7. In case the first Sunday of December is turning out to be overwhelming for you or today is the day you take out your woollens and pack away the tshirts, then I am guessing going out brunching or dining would not be on the list. So, for those of you who want some good recommendations on what to stream online today as you order your pizza and change back into the same pair of pyajamas after a hot shower, here are five new suggestions that have hit the streaming services and are ready to entertain you: 1. War The highly recommended action warfare with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff is all the aesthetic pleasure one needs on a lazy Sunday. Battle, bullets, ego, and some good action dished out by Bollywood's most flexible men. Stream it on Amazon Prime and chill with a pizza as their ripped figures make you consider getting a gym membership. 2. The Irishman The much awaited Martin Scorsese movie has been on our lists but given that fact that it is a long watch and one needs a lot of time to soak in the brilliance of Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, today seems to be the perfect day to do it and relax with a beer on the couch. 3. One Mic Stand I know there are a plethora of stand up acts out there but if you're in the mood of a funny intellectual watch and want to ditch your brains to spend it on a movie, then stream this instead. Bonus: Shashi Tharoor dishing out humour is more entertaining than reading a thesaurus decrypting his words. 4. Avengers Endgame I know we have a strata of fans who will go back to something comfortable as they scroll through their social media feed. This one needs no introduction and is ready to be your Sunday friend on Hotstar today. 5. Inside Edge If you loved the first season then you already have plans to stream the second one online this Friday. In case you didn't, then imagine a good looking fictional T20 team, match fixing, some hot cricket politics and more drama all packed in one. Stream the first season again and prepare for the next season, and make the most of today. View the full article
  8. Farhan Akhtar recently took to his Instagram account to share a rare throwback picture with his mother Honey Irani and sister Zoya Akhtar. Along with the heartwarming picture, he also shared a recent picture of them in the same post from this year's Diwali party. Farhan is a very private person and we usually only get to know about his personal life through his social media handles, and so this throwback picture is garnering a lot of love from people on the internet. 9. A recent report from cybersecurity giant McAfee aimed to draw a list of the top 10 popular celebrities generating the riskiest search results online - and the results are definitely surprising. While it might seem that Sunny Leone would have topped the list, given the notorious reputation of porn websites for containing viruses and other digital threats, she has been ranked a lowly fourth - beaten out by TV celebrity Gautam Gulati, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and at the #1 spot, M.S. Dhoni. © McAfee India To compile this list, McAfee first analysed a list of the 100 most popular personalities in India, and then put their names through the Google algorithm, analysing around 15 pages worth of results - that's over 150 websites per celebrity. Each website was then checked for code that would install malware or track a user's keystrokes and browsing details, resulting in the ratings you see above. McAfee thinks that Dhoni has made it to the top of the list because of his legendary status in modern Indian media. As the captain of a world-cup winning team, along with his recent biopic, his media presence has resulted in a field day for cybercriminals to lure Internet users onto websites that install harmful code or aim to steal personal information. via GIPHY It's easy to see where people's curiosity leads them. While cricket and pornography already happen to be subjects of worship in India, the focus remains on sports and popular Bollywood names. Rapper Badshah makes an appearance on the list, actors Radhika Apte and Shraddha Kapoor follow suit, and the rest are all sportspeople - cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur, badminton champ P.V. Sindhu and legendary footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo. It's always great to follow your idols, just make sure you're doing it in the right place.
  10. Bad communities promise great things to its members. Good communities offer great things to its members. Great communities fulfill the greatness of its members. A primary purpose of every community is to fulfill the needs of its members. A strong community will go beyond the immediate, basic needs and ensure that fulfillment is a positive experience. By doing so, it builds in positive rewards and reinforcement for an enjoyable sense of togetherness. One of the cornerstone ideas of behavioral sciences is reinforcement: delivering a positive experience to members through multiple dimensions. Why they come, why the stay, and how to fulfill those needs is our third element of Sense of Community: Rewards & Reinforcement. Discover all the ways to fulfill member needs for your Invision Community. Fulfillment of Functional Needs Your community must have a clear and unique purpose. Your community must offer something valuable. And your community must solve a problem. This is the prime reason why a user would visit you in the first place and how you fulfill his most basic needs. He searches for a question, and your community provides the answer. Many communities build up their expertise through two ways: Crowd-source community solutions - You can highlight community-driven solutions in Invision Community to curate attention to the best answers. Two of the most underutilized features are Content Messages and Recommended Replies, which allow moderators to showcase and explain great user content. Bring experts into the community – Authoritative content should be posted and marked separately from regular user content. You can accomplish this by giving experts a dedicated Blog, authorship in Pages, or enabling Post highlights. Fulfillment of Personal Needs Beyond the fulfillment of basics needs, users want other wishes and desires. It’s impossible to identify all personal needs, but here are three of the biggest ones why users come together more: Group Status – People like to be on the “winning team,” and community success brings group members closer together. Highlight community success in your monthly newsletter or topic announcements. Competence – People are attracted to others with skills or competence. Introduce superusers and subject matter experts (SMEs) through interviews, team talk, or AMA topics ("ask me anything"). Rewards – Behavioral research shows that users gravitate toward groups that offer more rewards. Use tools like the Leaderboard, Group rank, Badges, and Reputation for extrinsic motivation that excite users and make them feel special. Fulfillment of Shared Values Society and our upbringing instruct us in a set of shared values. We bring those values into our online communities because they provide a framework of how to address our emotional and personal needs and the priority in which we address them. When users with shared values come together, they’re more receptive to helping others with the same value system: A Values Statement: Make it a point to identify the shared values in your community, in Guidelines or on a separate page. Affirm those principles in your interactions and, in difficult situations, frame your decision by referencing your community values. Private communities with high engagement usually have the strongest statements of values. Process vs. Outcome: How you answer is just as important as the answer. If you run a community that is technical, offers customer support, or involves lots of questions-and-answers, the process by which you arrive at the solution can help other users troubleshoot similar but different problems. Reinforce the solving process, and you’ll discover users will feel better about sharing their knowledge even if they don’t know the exact answer. Fulfillment by Networking Groups will naturally coalesce into smaller groups, as people find other people that they enjoy and who fulfill their own needs. Strong communities find ways to fit people together. Multiply Relationships: The sooner you can build relationships among members, the stronger those members will feel towards your community. In my community, I’ve created an “Ambassador” task force that welcomes new members to build personal relationships as soon as possible. Be a Networker: One of the virtues of being a community manager is that you’re normally introduced to the greatest number of people. Use your personal network within the community to connect two users together, bring other users into a conversion, or tap the expertise of others to help answer user questions. CONCLUSION There’s an Arabian proverb that says, “A promise is a cloud, fulfillment is rain.” Make it rain. Find ways to fulfill the greatness of your members, unleash a tidal wave of rewards and reinforcement that touch upon all the functional, personal, communal, and social needs of your members in the ultimate approach to member fulfillment. Build not just a good community, but a great one.
  11. The big pop-culture weekend is here where many of your beloved characters will die either in 'Avengers: Endgame' or 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8. However, Endgame is already out in the U.S. and a flurry of spoilers are on their way on social media and even websites. The movie has also been leaked prior to its opening weekend and is already available to download illegally. Not everyone gets a chance to buy tickets on time especially since over 1 million people have already pre-booked tickets in India. In all honesty, there aren't enough shows to accommodate every Marvel fan and it is obvious that some people will be late to watch the movie. In order to avoid spoilers, you either need to go off the grid or stay away from your friends who like to spoil movies. Having said that, you really don't need to go turn off your internet to avoid spoilers; there are a few ways to avoid them. Here's our guide on how to avoid 'Avengers: Endgame' spoilers on the internet. Use Extensions © MensXP Chrome extensions are a gift for people who want to go into movies and TV shows completely blind and avoid every spoiler they can. I've enabled a few to avoid any Star Wars spoilers and you can do the same for your beloved franchise. You can install Unspoiler or Spoiler Protection 2.0 in Chrome extensions that basically blocks websites, articles on the basis of your keywords. You can simply feed in keywords like “Avengers”, “Endgame”, “Game Of Thrones”. “GOT”, “Season 8”, “Iron Man” and whatever else comes to mind. © MensXP If you are always on social media, you can install extensions like Social Fixer which is also available for every major browser. This extension will basically block all the posts about Endgame from your feed, even from your friends. You will need to feed in keywords for this to work but it works like a charm. For YouTube, we suggest you use an extension that lets you block videos based on keywords and titles of the video. There are plenty of extensions available to use; however, we recommend Video Blocker as the most reliable option. While these only work on laptops and web browsers, there's no proper fix for mobile phone browsers. Having said that, you can follow a few steps for mobile apps that will basically help in reducing spoiler exposure. You need to mute a few keywords on Facebook and Twitter in order for this to work on smartphones. Mobile Phones © MensXP Most spoilers come from social media and there is a way to get around that. Both Facebook and Twitter have muting features that basically makes our job easier. On Twitter, you need to go to Settings and Privacy > Muted Words> Click Add. Now you can add all the keywords you fancy to avoid spoilers on your social media feed. You will need to add these keywords once and Twitter will handle the rest. In order to be even more secure, we suggest you even add misspelt words so that it doesn't show up in your feed. The Facebook app has something similar called Keyword Snooze but it doesn't work as effectively as Twitter. So we suggest you stay off your Facebook or your smartphone altogether until you watch the movie.
  12. 'Game Of Thrones' is in the final season as the show comes to a close in about a month. The fantasy show is one of the most pirated TV series on the planet and is also one of the reasons for its major success. The Season premiere of the show was leaked online an hour earlier by DirectTV last week; however, the second episode was leaked well in advance. © HBO The second episode of GOT Season 8 was leaked by none other than Amazon Prime as it was green-lit to go live on Amazon Prime Germany, 8 hours before the world premiere. The leak was taken down but many got to see the entire episode way before it even came to the airwaves — including us. The episode was later uploaded on many websites and torrent posters with spoilers about the episode starting to leak on social media. © HBO HBO went to great lengths to keep the final show a secret such as dodging drones during filming, only letting the cast read some chunks of the script and stop offering screeners to press for this season. Screeners are usually leaked online thanks to some rogue journalist who cannot fight the temptation. However, this time around the leak came from Amazon Prime, the streaming giant partnered with HBO for GOT in Germany. We have seen episodes leaked by partners before; however, HBO has also been victim to leaks because of their own mistakes. © HBO The leaked episode was spotted in the back pages of Reddit and then was shared across all social media platforms. Some die-hard GOT fans waited for the full HD version of the new episode but there were some fans who could not wait. GOT premieres each episode globally at the same time. However, it does get hard to manage so many regions. Leaks are inevitable and we suspect that this will not be the last leak for the final season.
  13. Online communities shine with the brilliance of humanity. Every day, our communities inspire, evoke, inform, motivate and engage in a hundred different ways. Every member feels a uniquely individual sense of value from your community. For too many communities, the strategy revolves around two simple pillars: content and engagement. You inform. You engage. And you think your job is done. However, you’ve barely scratched the surface of offering value. You need to expand the ways in which you strategically match your community to member value. New studies are coming out that show humans feel up to 27 emotions from admiration to triumph, and the best communities unleash a rainbow spectrum of value – functional and emotional, business to social - for their organizations and for their members. This results in not just deeper and more extensive engagement, but greater financial payoff. Indeed, research from global management consulting firm Bain & Company shows brands like Apple, Samsung, and Amazon that demonstrate multiple elements of value have x3 greater customer loyalty and x4 faster revenue growth than others. The elements of value can be divided into two broad categories. Specialize in Functional Value Don’t deliver content. Deliver time savings, cost savings, risk savings, organization, connection, education, and variety. What is the utility benefit to your users? Functional values are the core reasons why members would visit your community. It forms the baseline rationale for your community’s existence, and you want to not just be good – you want to be the best in delivering functional value in your field. Improve your Q&A boards for feedback, inquiry, or ideation. Provide a template in a pinned topic where users fill out a consistent set of questions, so you can answer with the most appropriate and accurate options. Use moderator tools like Recommended Replies to summarize and spotlight key points in a topic. This saves time and focuses attention on expert information. Super-charge the training for your response team. Empower them to be subject experts by giving them private training, templates, and extra resources in a staff wiki so they can investigate the unique needs of user inquiries and provide the best responses. Build a set of content resources in the Pages application, which is the most powerful application in the suite. It can be used to create a set of content resources with unlimited custom fields, filters, and templates enabling you to offer variety, organization, and education that no other competitor can match. Spark Emotional Value Don’t deliver engagement. Deliver admiration, amusement, awe, empathy, joy, nostalgia, satisfaction, and triumph. How does your community make your members feel better? Here’s a little secret. Even though functional value is the foundation of your community’s value proposition, emotional elements are 50% more valuable. Fortunately, Invision Community comes loaded with ways to recognize, reward, and promote members. Take the time to explain the purpose of a new group promotion, rank, or title. Don’t let the reward be the goal in and of itself. You should connect the feature with its underlying emotion by explaining what steps are required to earn the rank, how many others earned it, and what it’ll take to earn the next one. Start with the Leaderboard. Invision Community ships with the Leaderboard, which provides an overview of the most popular users and content. Scan for up-and-coming members to investigate what triggers their emotional satisfaction; scan for popular content to discover what excites your membership. Create multiple member journeys. Most communities follow a pattern of new member to trusted member to moderator. But members can become superusers in many ways. Members who enjoy nostalgia can organize a Year-in-Review topic. Members who enjoy affiliation should serve as Ambassadors to greet and mentor new members. Members who seek reputation will appreciate new outlets for publishing. Define multiple pathways that strategically tap into the diverse desires of your members. As you implement your initiatives to build a Community of Excellence, take the time to relate the initiative to the Elements of Value (Attachment: IPS Elements of Value Attachment.pdf). You’ll find new and creative ways of offering value to strengthen the relationship between your community and your members. Look deep within your community to unearth the rainbow spectrum of value. You’ll discover a wellspring of extraordinary value waiting to help your members shine brightest.
  14. We find love in the strangest of places. All while a seemingly unthreatening person manages to disarm us with that one look or smile casually thrown our way, which leaves our heart craving for more, so much more! The arena of online dating happens to be one such space where most of us venture into without any set expectations of what might come our way. That is mostly because this entire scene of online dating bears an air of mystery and suspense around it - a sort of a thrill that has succeeded in luring even a few “hermits” around us. You never know who you will meet in this virtual world, and even if you think you like the person you behold on the screen going by their bio, likes-dislikes and hobbies et al., you cannot be too sure unless you meet them up close and see for yourself if the two of you are worth another shot. Souvik Thakur Sure, this might be true in 99% of the cases, though there still exist a few who get so lucky with their online dates, that they end up signing the deal of spending an entire lifetime with one another. Such is the story of Souvik and Upasana, who met each other on an online dating website, and so fiery was their chemistry from the very onset, that the couple ended up marrying each other within a year of their first official date! It all began in late 2017, or more specifically 22nd October 2017 as Upasana would point out when the two first found out about each other on an online dating platform. Souvik is quick to add that, “it was her smile that caught my attention,” and he didn't waste any time in getting in touch with Upasana after that. “It was love at first sight (for me), even though we were living in two different cities then. I was in Delhi, while she was in Kolkata,” adds Souvik. Remembering that fateful night, Upasana recalls, “I remember that Sunday. I had a night recess and after I woke up, I saw a notification of his request. After reading his message, I shared my phone number. Within a second he called me, and we started talking. He spoke for an hour and by the end of it, he proposed me for marriage.” Souvik Thakur We know, that almost sounds like a Japanese bullet train of dating on the move. But you know what, in the matters of the heart, when you know, you know. Whether it is a matter of knowing someone for an hour, a year or even ten years for that matter, you simply know it when you find 'the one'. However, we wonder, if their first virtual meeting was so zippy, imagine all the fire alarms that must have gone off when the two met each other for the first time, for real! You guessed it, for both Souvik and Upasana, their first date remains one of the greatest highlights of their relationship so far. It was 25th December 2017 when they finally met in person after constantly being in touch for a little over two months. While Souvik recalls the day for their exploration of the City of Joy, eating and shopping their hearts out and making memories together, it was much more special for Upasana. Souvik Thakur “It was 25th December and he had come down from Delhi to meet me. Naturally, it was special for me. We met at Esplanade, the heart of Kolkata. Then we went to Princep Ghat. After spending some quality time on the bank of river Ganges, we went to taste Biryani from Kolkata's famous Biryani shop. Then he surprised me by gifting me a yellow-green from a famous boutique,” shares Upasana. The saree, as Souvik tells us, was a gift to celebrate their first date. And they say men are not romantic and thoughtful enough. Anyhow, that's definitely one memorable first date the two had, won't you agree? However, from the numerous memories the two share between them, for Souvik one of the most unforgettable ones is when the two spent some quiet time alone in each other's company on the terrace at his place - “(the) terrace is a very special place for me. I love to read, write, sing on the terrace. Finally, I took her to my special place in the house,” recalls Souvik. Our man here had finally found the woman to share his special place with, and we all know that's a big commitment all by itself, even though many women don't know it at the moment. But since things were already moving in the fifth gear for the couple since the beginning, the real deal was never too far behind. Souvik Thakur Soon after their first meeting, Souvik couldn't wait to take the next big step. He had all the plans laid out. But like it is usually in the case of love, things don't come easy. Sure enough, Souvik had a hurdle to move past before he could claim his lady love, and make her his for the next 'seven lifetimes'. Since Souvik was living in Delhi for work, it meant that for Upasana getting married would be a lot more than just tying the knot. So when Souvik popped the question, Upasana couldn't accept the proposal instantly, even when she wanted to. “I would have said yes, but couldn't. Since he lived in Delhi for the sake of his job, and I didn't want to relocate from my hometown Kolkata, I clearly told him so. He was very disheartened, but tried to convince me to make the move. After 15 days, he succeeded. I agreed to move to Delhi.” Once this was taken care of, things picked up speed and their families got involved. The date for the wedding was set and finally, on 2nd December 2018, the couple got hitched. Even though most things happened in a blur in their relationship, married life has come with its own share of lessons and experiences for the couple. Souvik Thakur According to Upasana, their journey from bachelorhood to being married has changed their perspective about relationship and love. As a married couple, they are becoming more and more responsible with every passing day. Even Souvik agrees that the relationship has taught him to choose his battles wisely, adjust and compromise where necessary and take important decisions keeping each other in mind. However, with all things said and done, the newlyweds believe that their relationship has taught them to love selflessly and accept each other's quirks. “We are two very much different people. She is loud and expressive, whereas I am soft and calm. But we love to eat, travel & listen to music together. These are the binding factors of our relationship and our lives”, says Souvik. Souvik Thakur For Upasana, however, the most unique quality of her husband is that “he is a very good human being, funny and he is very passionate towards his work.” The couple may be completely opposite in nature and personality type, but these traits help to balance their relationship and add depth to it. Married for just two months today, the journey so far has been a revelation for the couple in a lot of ways. Not only are they getting to know each other more deeply, but they are also evolving as individuals as they take on this journey called life together.
  15. Isn't it kind of sad that the biggest viral story of the week doesn't even make any sense now? The people behind the movie 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' didn't just impress the world with their movie but also with their brilliant way of stopping their movie from getting pirated. They themselves leaked a 'fake' version of the movie online so that the people who downloaded from torrent sites would have a scene transition into Vicky Kaushal breaking the fourth wall and talking directly to them, telling them to go watch the movie in theatres. This idea was genius, and no wonder the video went viral as soon as it ended up online. While this was one of the best 'surgical strikes' on piracy, movies leaking online is still inevitable. Bringing awareness to the situation is the first step but it won't stop t altogether. 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' couldn't survive the surgical strike on piracy and is now available online for real, not the one where Vicky Kaushal is disappointed in you. The entire movie is apparently available on the website Tamilrockers. As the name would suggest, they would probably just leak Tamil movies, but looks like they've expanded and now also include Bollywood movies. Reportedly, even 'The Accidental Prime Minister' was available on the site almost immediately and now even Emraan Hashmi's 'Why Cheat India' has been leaked. But, the makers of 'Uri' still shouldn't worry about the movie leaking that much, since 'Uri' is still dominating the box office with people loving Vicky Kaushal and quoting the movie. I mean, even PM Narendra Modi couldn't help himself from asking everyone “How's the josh?”. #UriTheSurgicalStrike biz at a glance... Week 1: â¹ 70.94 cr Weekend 2: â¹ 37.96 cr Total: â¹ 108.90 cr India biz. BLOCKBUSTER.#Uri is not going to slow down soon... Should emerge the highest grossing medium-budget film, surpassing the *lifetime biz* of #TWMReturns. #HowsTheJosh — taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) January 21, 2019 So, the movie's josh is still high and won't be coming down anytime soon, by the looks of it.

Now, a picture of the Galaxy S10 was leaked by renowned tipster Evan Class who posted a picture of the smartphone in question. The smartphone has been given the code name 'Beyond 1' and the front of the smartphone reveals its punch-hole design. Other leaks have suggested that there will be five models instead of three as stated by previous reports. The leaks come from a Netherlands-based tech website Techtastic. Samsung Galaxy S10 "Beyond 1," in the wild. pic.twitter.com/EMquh59Kln — Evan Blass (@evleaks) January 3, 2019 The image shared by Blass on Twitter shows a true edge-to-edge display with a hole on the top right corner that houses the selfie camera. He also mentioned that the Galaxy S10 will be able to charge other compatible devices, a feature we've already seen on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The image shows us a clear picture of the front that has very thin bezels, and a smaller chin. The display also flat and does not have a curved edge like previous Samsung flagship phones. Since the UI of the phone has been blurred, it is expected to run Samsung's new One UI based on Android 9 Pie. © Twitter Other rumours have suggested that the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy S10 will have a single front camera while the larger Galaxy S10 Plus will have a dual front-facing camera. The Galaxy S10 Plus is also expected to have three cameras at the back and the 5G variant is said to sport a quad camera system. © Weibo In terms of biometrics, the Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to have a fingerprint sensor on the side while all other models will have a fingerprint scanner embedded underneath the display. In terms of display, the Galaxy S10 series will have a 6.1-inch variant (S10), 6.4-inch variant (S10 Plus) and a 5.8-inch variant (S10 Lite). All of these devices will have super AMOLED displays. The US version of the Galaxy S10 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor while the Indian variant is said to be powered by Samsung's Exynos 9820 chipset.
  17. With Diwali around the corner, almost everyone is busy buying gifts for their near and dear ones. After all, we all want to surprise them and bring a smile on their faces, right? So, what better way can there be than online shopping to buy the gifts? It's quick, hassle-free and delivers the products at your doorstep. Viraj Nair too wanted to buy a smartphone for his house help and he even bought one online on Amazon. Turns out Viraj was one of those 'lucky' customers, who didn't get ONE smartphone but TWO...bars of soaps. And, not just any soap, he got two bars of 'Ghadi' detergent. After all, 'time' is the most precious gift, so getting 'ghadi' makes all the sense in the world. Looks like the makers of Ghadi's tagline, 'Pehle Istemal Kare Fir Vishwas Kare', knew that the detergent bar will one day fall in Viraj's hands and this line will hit him harder than irony. Facebook/ Viraj Nair In an exclusive conversation with MensXP, Viraj said, "The phone, ordered on Sunday, October 28, was supposed to be delivered by Tuesday, October 30. On the day of the scheduled delivery, I recieved a message from Amazon that the courier guy couldn't reach me so the delivery would be attempted the next day." Viraj, who felt something strange about the delivery guy, said "On Wednesday, October 31, I got a call from a guy asking whether the package has been delivered and I told him I hadn't received it. At 6:30 PM he finally came to my building, entering the wrong address in the register, to deliver the package. He refused to hand over the package before I gave him the OTP. When I opened it, the Honor 8x box was unsealed. To my horror, instead of a smartphone, the box contained two bars of Ghadi soap." Screenshot Viraj immediately contacted Amazon's customer care and they "apologized profusely and said I'd receive a replacement by Nov. 2. No explanation was offered for the Ghadi soap switcheroo, though they promised to 'investigate' the matter." Viraj, who ordered an Honor 8x, left a replacement request on the website as well. Amazon apologized to Viraj and he finally got a box delivered today, which carried a new phone and not a detergent. Even after all this, it wasn't easy for him to get the phone. He said the new delivery guy was asking for the phone back and didn't agree on giving him the replacement phone. "The delivery guy finally left after negotiations with Amazon customer care." Viraj has now ordered One Plus 6T from Amazon and we hope he doesn't get more bars of 'Ghadi' detergent this time. Viraj is not the first guy to receive soap bars instead of a smartphone. Earlier too people have reportedly recieved stones and soaps instead of what they ordered online.

  21. We have moved on from the long landline calls that carried the most minute details of our lives, to more real-time mediums of “keeping in touch” such as WhatsApp, tweets and writings on the wall. The physical holiday postcards and bulky photo albums have given way to “aesthetically woke” Instagram feeds, and the family reunions seem insincerely more crazy in the visual stories on social media platforms, than they did in real life. © Y-Films These are just a few instances of how heavily we've come to depend on social media for our daily dose of “getting by”. Be it the news we consume, the communities we follow or the influencers we allow to “inspire” us, there is so much that social media adds to our life on a daily basis. Exchange of information and ideas has to be the greatest highlight of social media's portfolio, but there is a lot more to it than meets the eye. With 'age no bar' as its tagline and the democratisation of social media, more and more people are getting on these platforms to find something or the other that caters to their interests. This has not only led to a big boom in the virtual space, but has also allowed an entire generation to get a breakthrough, in the form of voice, reach and audience. © Y-Films Let's take the TikTok rage that's gripped the nation this year, into consideration. TikTok, erstwhile known as Musical.ly, was the world's most downloaded app in the first quarter of 2018, with as many as 45.8 million downloads! From Bollywood and Hollywood A-listers to TV stars and the common man, almost everybody has given in to the temptation of these short video formats, that majorly showcase people posting their dance or acting videos on the app. The world has found innumerable rising stars on the platform, who have also caught the attention of the who's who in the world of cinema and TV. Remember Najeem Khan? This comes with the added benefit of ditching the middlemen and the casting couches, but more than anything else, it allows talented individuals to “launch” themselves in the visual arts market on their own, purely on the basis of their creativity and merit. © Y-Films The same goes for the YouTubers, bloggers and Instagrammers, who have found a way to create their own brands across social media platforms, influence and inspire people, as well as make big bucks, and a full-fledged career out of it. The online community and its reach are such, that 'followers' hold the power to turn you into an online celebrity of sorts, within a span of a few months. However, the promise of a lucrative career isn't the only aspect we're looking at when we talk about the power of social media. There's so much more to this entire space, that's unequivocally potent. India's #MeToo moment is still gathering speed, and all the outing is enabling men and women to call out their abusers/harassers and publicly shame them for their deed. This initiative, regardless of the painful wounds and trauma it reignites, has armed and enabled people to take courage and speak out. The power dichotomy is finally being shaken, due to the mass movement online. So, whether it is an exposé involving a celebrity or a politician, that we love to lap up at all times, or the possibility of reaching out to the people concerned with your opinions and grievances, social media has suddenly turned into a tool that's enabling people from all walks of life, and allowing them a medium and chance to get heard. Social Media Marketer and Quoran, Megha Anand, believes that more than importance, “necessity is an apt word” for social media. She adds that “it is a fact that social media has tremendously changed the way people interact and carry on with their everyday lives, it's as essential as any other thing in your life”. Hence, whether it is job hunting, creating a support group or starting your own business, social media plays a key role in trying to help you shape and present yourself to the world. Of course it has its shortcomings, yes it can be addictive in nature, and social media can definitely be put into negative use by the virtual mafia, but it largely depends on how you use it to communicate with an audience, and share your most private moments, thoughts and opinions with the rest of the world. Social media gives you the popularity, recognition and power to reach out to millions of people at the click of a button, who most often take you by your word and look up to you to make up their personal opinions. That is a power every social media user must put to good use at all times, thereby helping the world to be a more positive place.
  22. What is that one thing that gives you an unparalleled amount of kick and release on a day-to-day basis? Most of you may be able to think of a number of quick responses to that, ranging anywhere from breaking a sweat in the gym at the crack of dawn, to downing a shot of espresso before you kick start your day at work. Now, while the reasons may vary for each of us, there can be no denying the fact that no matter the means, each of them serve the purpose of making us feel more prepared or equipped to take on the rest of the day, head on. © Pinterest But this is where I must come forward and admit that I get my frequent doses of mental boost or “kick” out of another, a not-so-less ordinary form of activity- retail therapy, and more specifically online retail therapy. This is my story. My confession to being an online shopping addict and coming out to identify as one. For the longest time shopping as an indulgence has been attached to the notion that it's a woman's territory, that is to say, that “excessive” or “compulsive” shopping is more akin to a woman's behaviour, than it is to a man's. Yet, here I stand before you admitting to the possibility of #NotJustWomen and #YesMenToo. It's okay if some of you guys can't seem to make any sense out of this, and perhaps that calls for a more in-depth insight into my current disposition. A day in my life looks like any of yours on a given day - getting up, going for a run, quick shower and breakfast. Then I head to work, punch the keys on my keyboard for the next 8 hours, head out for a drink post work or have dinner at home. Browse through WWW/TV/Facebook. Call it a day. © Thinkstock Images But then, so very often I experience these moments in a day, when all logic and reason evade me, and I feel there's no way to get past the intense need and craving, of picking items from the wishlist on an online shopping website/app and putting them into the cart. From then on, everything else kinda goes spiralling. One checkout leads to another, and I end up with multiple emails notifying me about all the goods that will soon be mine to claim. For me, the rush, the thrill and the release comes with every buzz on my phone delivering a message of confirmation that I have bagged the items I had my eyes on, regardless of the need or use I'm expected to find in them. The pleasure of finding the colour of choice, the right size and clinching it before anybody else, brings me a satisfaction and peace that nothing else can compare. © Twitter I let this exercise go on for as long as over two years, I started out as a 25-year-old, without ever stepping back to reconsider my shopping behaviour, until very recently, when I maxed out on all three of my credit cards within a fortnight. I had been rallying my frustration to a dear friend who finally put her foot down and pushed me to see things as they were. Apparently, I was addicted to online shopping, but I couldn't disagree with her more at the moment, I surely didn't think that was true. But isn't that just how all of us “think” when someone points out a shortcoming in us? But this was far more serious, she was calling me an addict and of course, I felt offended. But then she pointed out the obvious “signs and symptoms” I had been apparently exhibiting, “for the longest time and it is was somebody broke the news to you”. © Weinstein Company A quick Google search and thirteen articles later, I found myself sitting across the table from my now therapist, Dr. K. I will spare you all the details of our interaction(s), but I'll tell you that the diagnosis didn't come as a shock to anyone besides me. So, post a couple of successful sessions, here's what I, an online shopping addict, have to share with you. So, while I did my own research, what that helped put things into perspective was that I am not the only man who is an online shopping addict. A survey conducted by Stanford University found that one in every 20 people suffer from compulsive buying, and men featured in just as many numbers in the survey as did women. The only reason we don't hear about it as often is because men feel it isn't “manly” to seek help, said Dr. Lorrin Koran when the results came out. © Thinkstock Images While every individual indulges in compulsive shopping for varying reason, a senior psychology lecturer at the University of Sussex, Dr. Hilga Dittmar stated that the 2 major factors are “materialist values and poor self-image”, which is “taken care of” by buying things for self-improvement. For a layman, this may be also translated to - 1. You enjoy shopping privately. 2. You appreciate the variety in styles and prices online shopping platforms have to offer. 3. You are big on instant gratification. Because it makes you feel good about yourself, and life in general. Just so you know, I ticked off each one of those points, and the following sessions with my therapist only helped me see things clearly. © Twitter So here I am, still coping with the revelation, filing this confession post my diagnosis, and trying to survive each day without subconsciously reaching for my credit card every other moment. I wouldn't lie, the urge still persists, but I try to look past the pressing need to browse through every existing online shopping platform and checking out with all the good stuff, simply for the pleasure and satisfaction of it. It's true, my days seem incomplete, and most often I miss the feeling of accomplishment online shopping brought to my day, but you know what? At some point, I would have had to stop and I am glad it happened sooner than later, when it would have been too late. Thus, to simply reiterate, don't ignore your addiction and go about your day believing shopping addiction is a “woman's disease”, 'cause it sure as hell isn't and you need to be aware of it.

  24. Arnold Schwarzenegger is considered the godfather of bodybuilding. Mainly for his contribution to the industry of bodybuilding by making it glamorous and propelling it to unthinkable fame. In his prime, he was at the very top for nearly a decade and his fame has only risen after he retired from the sport by having roles in movies, the TV industry, and even holding a Government position in the US. Fast forward four decades and came another man who would not only have a similar physique as Schwarzenegger but also have a very close resemblance to him in overall appearance as well. The man is called Calum Von Moger, an Australian bodybuilder of Austrian and Dutch ascent. © YouTube He had two Mr. Universe titles by the age of 23 and his career only seemed to be going up from there. He then started promoting his videos on YouTube, which added to his fame. He is currently even set to play Schwarzenegger in an upcoming film on the Weider Bros. And in a bid to getting some views and more subscribers on his YouTube channel, he started doing things that recently cost him dearly. Things that can be called outright stupid. For example, after his second-place finish in Arnold Classic, he hit an arm workout with Chris Bumstead (another prodigy in modern-day bodybuilding) and they decided to do a 400 lb bicep curl, just for fun. Curling nearly 200 kilos for fun! They managed a cheat rep and forced the second one where he felt that his bicep snapped. And this is what happened. View this post on Instagram DONT TRY THIS! last night I had this crazy idea that me and @cbum_ should attempt a 400lb barbell curl. Was all fun and games until I tore my bicep. I really should have known better, I forgot to warm up properly and should have used #koalafreak pre from @staunch.nation instead of the stim free ð Bicep: Pretty sure it's a Grade 2 tear going off the web and the symptoms. Can Take up to 3 weeks before I'll get strength back. I'll try and see a specialist and get their opinion on it too. Note: Learn from my stupid mistakes! You can see half the arm workout on my YouTube ch. He kept training his lower body while his arm was recovering. Things seemed fine until he went rappelling and had another accident. That accident left him with a ruptured quadricep and a dislocated kneecap. During this time, he was still recovering from his bicep injury. And that injury led to his legs looking like this. © YouTube Now on the path of recovery, obviously he is losing his size and is nothing close to where he used to be or what his potential was. © YouTube All of it for the sake of some views, some more subscribers or some fun on YouTube, is it justified? Are cheat reps or lifting with your ego worth the Instagram likes? The story of a (hopefully not) ex-pro says it is not worth it. The lesson to learn here: keep your ego outside the gym.
