  1. Holi is more than just the most colourful festival out there. It officially marks the beginning of the Hindu festive calendar and is often seen as the second festival after Diwali which brings people from all sections of the country together, regardless of their caste, creed or religion. © Reuters But earlier today the whoâs who of the Indian political scene decided to move away from Holi celebrations this year amid the Coronavirus outbreak in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah made the announcement hours ago via their official Twitter handles. © BCCL Keeping his point forward, PM Modi said, âExperts across the world have advised to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Hence, this year I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme.â Experts across the world have advised to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Hence, this year I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme. â Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) March 4, 2020 Amit Shah too announced that he wonât be attending the annual Holi Milan celebration this year. âHoli is a very important festival for we Indians but in the wake of Coronavirus, I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan celebration this year. I also appeal to everyone to avoid public gatherings and take good care of yourself & your familyâ tweeted the Home Minister. © BCCL Earlier today, talking about the cancellation of the Holi Milan programme, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the Holi Milan program that was being organised at Miller School in Patna on 7th March, has been called off. In the wake of recent developments Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also decided to not celebrate Holi for the same reason, though he added that it is also because he is pained by the riot victimsâ misfortune. âI am also not celebrating Holi this year, because of this (Coronavirus) and the recent violence which took place in Delhi, in which many people lost their lives. People are in pain that is why neither I nor any minister or MLA will celebrate Holi,â Kejriwal was quoted as saying by ANI. © Twitter/IANS So far, Delhi has reported 28 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while thousands across the country are still under observation over suspected infection. As per the latest Health ministry updates, close to 25 people with suspected coronavirus infection have been admitted at the Safdarjung Hospital, and four individuals have been kept in isolation at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi. Given the growing call to avoid Holi celebrations in the city, people are in two minds over what the possibility implies. Holi is celebrated across the country by one and all with much fervour but given the current scenario, the call to avoid mass gatherings in the form of Holi celebrations, seems like a rather logical idea. © PxHere I say this because if we try to look beyond the trappings of culture and the tradition that Holi celebrations are tied to, weâll see that science and medicine is the only way out this fatal virus outbreak that is threatening our country right now. Experts have suggested that the Coronavirus is spread through close person-to-person contact within a range of 6 feet. The virus usually spreads via the aerial medium when an infected person sneezes or coughs, and the particles land on someoneâs hands and nose causing them to contact the infection. It can also spread when someone touches an object or surface that is covered with the virus. © Reuters Given this data, and the fact that large gatherings will expose people to the danger of contracting the infection, it seems like a fair move that PM Modi, CM Kejriwal and many other ministers are calling off mass Holi gatherings to celebrate the festival this year. Yes, we do not like how that sounds and what that means. But if we do not want an epidemic-like situation akin to China, where over 80,000 people have been infected and close to 3,000 people have died due to the infection, we must make this sacrifice for the greater good of our loved ones and the country at large. 2. In a short span of time, we have seen Shahid Kapoor play the role of a king in Padmaavat, a lover in Kabir Singh, a glimpse of his prep as a cricketer in Jersey, he is now again ready to surprise with his action-oriented and âdesh-bhaktâ avatar. View this post on InstagramAs a star one is so conditioned to showcasing oneself at ones best. But as an actor one has to have the guts to show yourself at your worst. #kabirsingh in my blood. Hope you feel him too.A post shared by (@shahidkapoor) According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, he has signed his next film and it will be produced by KaranâJohar. Well, the report also suggests that we will get to see Alia Bhatt opposite him once again. A source told the leading tabloid, âIt has patriotic undertones and will be directed by a debutant. Shahid is a fan of the action genre and is excited about being a part of this film. He needs to bulk up for the part, so the prep will begin a few months before he starts shooting for the film, which is expected to go on the floors in the second half of the year. It is currently in the pre-production stage.â We are wondering what kind of a role would this be as it has action infused with patriotism. Not much is really shared in terms of the storyline and we can actually make our imagination run wild. Meanwhile, Shahid has joined back the shoot for Jersey after suffering an injury earlier this year. The actor even thanked his fans for their concern. âThank you for all the concern. Yes, I have got a few stitches but am recovering fast. #jersey has taken a little bit of my blood but a script this good deserves that in the least. Have a good one you all. Keep it real. Make it count. Spread the love. Humanity above all,â the actor wrote on Twitter. View this post on Instagram#jersey #prepA post shared by (@shahidkapoor) Going by the photos of the actor preparing for Jersey, we can say that a lot of efforts are going into making the character look convincing on the big screen. 3. Rauf says playing for Pakistan in front of home fans brings no added pressure. — Photo: Geo.tv/screengrabHaris Rauf, the fast bowler catapulted into stardom by the Big Bash League (BBL), on Tuesday said that playing on home ground in the upcoming Bangladesh series would boost his morale instead of adding pressure. “There is a difference between playing league cricket and playing for your country. The mindset is [different of course]. But in a home series, the crowd at the stadium is your own, which provides a boost instead of adding any pressure. I take this as a positive,” Rauf said days after leaving Australia and linking up with the national squad back home for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. Read more: Haris Rauf pays homage to Lahore Qalandars after 'dream-come-true' Pakistan call-up Rauf, who was one of the stars of the ongoing BBL, claiming 16 wickets in just seven matches for Melbourne Stars and his association with Pakistan Super League franchise Lahore Qalandars has led some to believe that he is a T20 specialist — another notion the pacer is keen to erase. “My aim is to play continuously and for long periods,” he said, reiterating that “I want to represent Pakistan in all the formats.” The pacer fired a warning in the direction of Bangladeshi batsmen, saying that he touched the 150kmph mark in the BBL and wants to bowl just as quick in the upcoming series.
  4. A 25-year-old Sanju Samson may have over 3000 T20 runs under his belt but just two international appearances. Having played his very first match for the Indian cricket team all the way back in 2015 in Harare, Zimbabwe, the cricketer got his second and seemingly last chance in the time to come, to don the blue kit on Friday, January 10, 2020. Sanju Samson finally gets to play his second T20I; his first came in 2015. Three changes for India, while Angelo Mathews and Lakshan Sandakan are back in Sri Lanka's XI https://t.co/vYyCfFtg1i #INDvSL pic.twitter.com/fU1zLKE02O — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) January 10, 2020 This atypically long gap between two international matches made Samson the owner of an unwarranted record for most T20Is missed between two appearances. By the looks of it, Samson's misfortunes as a Man in Blue continue to haunt him as the team has decided to drop him yet again ahead of the five T20Is to be played against New Zealand on foreign soil. India's T20I squad for NZ tour announced: Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma (VC), KL Rahul, S Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (WK), Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, W Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami, Navdeep Saini, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur — BCCI (@BCCI) January 12, 2020 Emotions were flowing at full strength during the third and final T20I between India and Sri Lanka when Samson was promoted to bat one-down in the batting order by skipper Virat Kohli. There was a feeling of desperation in Samson's eyes when he approached the pitch. He wanted to show the world that he belonged on the ground, he wanted to show the world that he was good enough. The first ball that he faced, the Trivandrum favourite smashed the delivery for a maximum but the second delivery by Wanindu Hasaranga trapped him with a clear LBW and that was it for the glorious return of the wicket-keeper batsman. #INDvsSL Pic 1: Samson first ball six Pic 2: Samson out LBW pic.twitter.com/5qFRpDc8bz — Akshay Batra (@theakshaybatra) January 10, 2020 “With time and experience I have come to realise that I need to have a very clear head and a balanced state of mind,” Samson had told me back in November, 2019 but at that moment, his mind was pacing and his face gave away the frustration like a bad poker player. Was this how his international career had to end? Will he be remembered as nothing but a tiny spec of dust in the vast history that Indian cricket boasts? “What was that cricketer's name who had a lot of potential but never made it big,” is this how the future generations were going to address the man? It's actually little unfair on Sanju Samson, he didn't do anything wrong. The only opportunity he got after 4 years in which he had to go from very first ball! They should've selected him for 5 long T20Is against New Zealand.#SanaWorldWide #SanjuSamson # pic.twitter.com/3kAyu48IXw — Rahul Nath (@Rntk____) January 12, 2020 Even though age is on his side and the fact that he will continue to earn a ton of money given his brilliance in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League, there is not a bigger honour for an athlete to represent their nation but by the looks of it, Samson might not receive that honour anytime soon. 5. Have you ever noticed the "Games" button inside some applications like your mobile web browser or, say, a wallet app? Weird, right? Like why would there be an option to play games on a casual app that has nothing to do with gaming? Turns out, it's a strategy used by app makers to boost user engagement. In simple terms, it makes users spend more time within their app and even makes one come back for more. It's called gamification, and a lot of apps that you use on a day-to-day basis use it. Just go back to your phone right now and see how many of the apps you use on a daily basis have games inside them. You'll be surprised. © Gamezop An Indian company called "Gamezop" is one of the major players in this industry. It's essentially a gaming platform that powers gaming experience in thousands of app in India. We're talking about HTML5 games here, so they're nothing intense. But they can be super addictive at times, making you come back for more. And that addiction is what these platforms like Gamezop are banking on. To get a better understanding of how these games work and how platforms like Gamezop are thriving on them, I spoke to Yashash Agrawal, one of the founding members of Gamezop. © YouTube "At Gamezop, our goal is to acquire more users and cater to them rather than pushing app installs. It has allowed us to reach millions of users without any marketing spend whatsoever," said Yash when I asked him about his company. In case you're still scratching your head, let me tell you that Gamezop is merely acting as a distribution network for these games. No, they're not making games of their own. Instead, they license these games from over 250 partners and put them in the right place. And when I say right place, I really mean it. These games are positioned in a way to grab maximum attention. They even show up as pop-ups on certain apps, so the chances of you missing it are quite less. But How Are They Making Money Out Of This? Ads! As an aggregator, Gamezop has managed to place its games on some of the most popular apps like Mozilla Firefox, Ixigo, NewsPoint, among others. So whenever a user decides to play a game, he/ she will have to sit through an ad. It's similar to how you watch videos on YouTube. Obviously, I wasn't given an accurate number when it comes to the revenue, but given the number of monthly active users, I am inclined to believe that I'd be aplenty. And it must've gotten only better with the introduction of real-money gaming format. When it comes to such games, users will be asked to pay money to enter a game that promises real-money prizes. That's directly going to the aggregator, which in this case is Gamezop, without having to rely on an ad impression. The Way Forward According to Yash, there's a huge scope to expand their operations. I've been told that Gamezop has 800 partners in India. But considering the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of apps from Indian developers alone, with millions more worldwide, I can only imagine the growth opportunity here. Yash and the team seem to be quite optimistic about their business model and they think the affordable mobile data and the need for entertainment on-the-go are going to make things better. These games are obviously not for everyone. Some of you may even hate these, but it's worth making a note that millions of users still enjoy playing them over other mainstream titles. They're easy to access and free-to-play. What else do you need? View the full article

Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) in Bengaluru and reportedly played a key role as Project Director of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) project from June 1, 2010 to March 31, 2015. 9. While Bangladesh and India are currently in the middle of a two-match Test series, we are here to talk about bowler Jasprit Bumrah who has made headlines yet again but this time without even delivering a single ball. The 25-year-old pacer is currently out of action and on his way to recovery after suffering a stress fracture and played his last 50-over match all the way back in July 2019, when India fell to Kane Williamson's New Zealand side in the ICC World Cup 2019 semi-final. While the Men in Blue failed to make it to the final and compete for their third title, Bumrah's consistency to keep delivering one deadly ball after another, and with the kind of precision only a handful of athletes can, made him an international success. The Ahmedabad-born is still atop the ICC Men's ODI Bowlers Rankings, five months since he made his last white-ball delivery. 10. Gaming, especially online gaming, is on the rise and so is the fear of increasing gaming addiction. Although gaming addiction concerns are not limited to just China, it's believed to be home to a constantly exploding number of gamers, thanks to the proliferation of massively popular MMOs and shooter titles. China is the birthplace of some of the biggest gaming corporations like Tencent, Blizzard/ Activision, and the country is projected to have more PC players than the citizens of the United States within the next few years. So, some new rules are being put in place to prevent gaming addiction. © Reuters According to the new rules that have been put forth by the Chinese government, kids under the age of 18 will not be able to play online video games after 10 PM at night. Yes, there's a curfew on gaming now and kids are now banned from playing online video games from 10 PM to 8 AM in the morning. Additionally, they'll also be restricted to 90 minutes of gaming on weekdays and up to three hours on weekends and holidays. The government has also imposed spending limits for minors on gaming. Gamers from 8 to 16 years can only spend up to 200 yuan which is roughly Rs 2,000 per month. And gamers from 16 to 18 years can spend up to 400 yuan which is roughly Rs 4,000. That's like restricting them from buying one video game a month. © Reuters The new guidelines will apply universally to all online gaming platforms operating in China. According to BBC, the administration will work with law enforcement to create a unified identification system that these platforms can use to ID and verify the gamers. It sounds like an obvious thing to do, but we wonder if steps like this are really necessary. Yes, gaming addiction is indeed a real thing now, at least according to WHO, but it can also be controlled very effectively without having to take extreme steps like this. In fact, gaming addiction has been a topic of discussion in countries like India as well due to the arrival of games like PUBG Mobile, but we doubt if it's necessary to ban people from playing at any given time and make it a punishable offense. 13. If you own a Nintendo Switch in India and wanted to play a proper RPG on the go, you will be happy to know that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available in India. You can buy the game as a physical copy or digitally. We've been playing the game for a few days and found it to be an impressive port for the Nintendo Switch. I've played The Witcher 3 on PS4, PC and now on the Nintendo Switch and the game is still as exciting and fresh as its previous ports. Sure, there are a few compromises the game makes in order for it to work; but these are compromises I can live with. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The Witcher 3 may not run on 4K resolution with the maximum settings and FPS, however, the Switch port still makes the impossible a reality. The game runs at 540p in handheld mode in which it is meant to be played. You could always enjoy the upscaled resolution when docked, but it's way more fun when you are on the go. The game has been co-developed by CD ProjektRed and Saber Interactive to make the game fit in a 32GB cartridge. That alone is an achievement by itself as the game does not sacrifice any of the content. It comes with all the expansions and DLCs. The developers instead have used lower resolution textures and assets so that the game can run smoothly on a console that is powered by a tablet-level GPU. The use of compressed assets results in a graphics downgrade which I didn't really mind. This is probably because the game runs smoothly at 30fps and does not falter in crucial moments. When engaging multiple enemies, the experience still stays smooth at 30fps as there are no frame rate drops, keeping the overall experience intact. Personally, I would rather have a game that runs without any hiccups over a prettier looking game. So if you've always wanted to enjoy The Witcher 3 while on the go, you will have to make a compromise when it comes to the graphics but in return, you will be able to enjoy hundreds of hours of gameplay without any nagging issues. For an optimal experience, we would recommend you turn off the motion blur and blur options in the settings. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The most obvious concern on a portable version of The Witcher 3 on the Nintendo Switch would be the loading times. To our surprise, the Switch version of The Witcher 3 had similar load times as the first-generation version of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. That is quite impressive as well, since you will not be waiting a whole lot for the game to load when you fast travel and in this game, you will fast travel a lot. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla As mentioned before, this game truly shines in the handheld mode and is perfect for people who are always travelling or do not get enough time to play on home consoles. You can start playing anywhere and anytime you want whether it is in the office or during your daily commute. This makes the game more accessible to people who always wanted to play the game but did not have the means or the time to invest in a proper gaming setup. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available on the Nintendo Switch via amazon.in or offline stores. The game is officially available in India as a cartridge and we recommend you get the physical copy as it is the easiest way to buy the game in India.
  14. Jofra Archer was one of the mainstays in the Rajasthan Royals team that took the field in IPL 2019. Economical and dangerous, he was one of the best young bowlers in the competition and vital to the bowling lineup of the Royals and he has now rapidly become one of the most sought-after all-rounders in white-ball cricket. Born in Barbados to an English father, he knew very early that England was the nation he wanted to represent in international cricket. Taking advantage of his British passport, he had a successful spell at Sussex as well as T20 leagues all over the world, before getting the call-up to the Royals team in 2018. Archer has made giant strides and has become one of the most sought-after all-rounders in English county cricket, where he represents Sussex. He has made 1003 runs in 28 first-class matches at an average of 31.34 and strike rate of 71.33. He is a dangerous lower-order batsman capable of hitting the long ball as his LIST-A and T20 strike rates of 121.51 and 140.74 suggest. His wicket-taking prowess is further highlighted by his strike rate in LIST-A cricket (35.9) and T20 cricket (17.3). © Reuters His effectiveness was on display in his first ODI series against Pakistan as well as Ireland, in the run-up to the World Cup, as he showed he had what it takes to perform at the international stage. His callup to the England squad for the World Cup became a huge talking point among English cricket fans in the runup to the tournament, and it happened at the very last minute, in circumstances that seemed tailored just for him. Not long after he had been a British citizen for just three years, the English Cricket Board announced a dramatic change in the qualification criteria for selection to the national squad in March 2019. The previous requirement asked for seven-year citizenship to be available for selection but Archer's three years are now adequate for qualification. @cricketworldcup TWO IN TWO! Archer is on a hat-trick, as Cottrell walks back. pic.twitter.com/Gyvjq4mhP1 — Cricket World Cup (@cricketworldcup) June 14, 2019 In England's match against the West Indies, his native land, Archer was part of the opening spell and was instrumental in bowling the Windies out for a measly total of 212 through a spell of 3 wickets for 30 runs in 9 overs. England are ranked no1 in ODIs as per ICC Rankings and as hosts they, along with Team India, are the hot favourites to lift the ICC World Cup 2019 Trophy. As they prepare their bid to lift the trophy, Archer has established himself as a mainstay in the team, and his journey has been no less than a fairytale.
  15. There hasn't been a crazy PUBG Mobile news about people getting arrested, or someone losing their life playing the game in a long time. Yes, we thought the PUBG Mobile addiction storm had settled, until we heard the news about this crazy woman who's now seeking a divorce from her husband. Why, you ask? Well, it looks like he attempted to stop her from playing the game. As bizarre as it sounds, we hate to admit that it's a real thing. A woman in the UAE has sought a divorce from her husband over a battle royale game. Welcome to 2019? According to Gulf News, the director of the social center at Ajman Police, Captain Wafa Khalil Al Hosani told that they recently received this case where a woman in her 20s wanted to divorce her husband over not being allowed to play PUBG Mobile. Apparently, the husband noticed his wife's increasing addiction to the game. He then decided to stop her from playing it so she could focus on the family. The woman, according to the captain, justified her demand for divorce by saying that she was being deprived of her right to choose her means of entertainment. She said, “she derived pleasure and comfort from the game”. © Tencent She also noted that her game timings were well under limits, and she had disabled the chat option to stay away from strangers during the games. The man, however, maintained his stand and noted said he wasn't trying to deprive her of anything. He just wanted to take the necessary measures and keep the family together. He clearly didn't see the divorce coming, did he?
  16. Sachin Tendulkar, synonymously called 'the God of cricket' for most Indians who love the sport, is known to have ruled the playing fields at all times simply with his presence. Often called the 'Masterblaster', Sachin slayed the opponent teams in hundreds of matches with a swipe of hit bat. When Sachin called it quits on cricket, Indian cricket fans lost its crowning glory and no other player (though we have real talented players in the team ATM) has been able to completely fill the vacuum he left behind since his retirement in 2013. © Twitter But when we talk about child prodigies just like Sachin, and especially in the field of cricket, we can't help but talk about this latest phenomenon that's gripped cricket enthusiasts who are not averse to cricket and entertainment going hand-in-hand. 'Selection Day' which was released on Netflix at the end of last year, was something that cricket lovers took to instantly, like a moth to a flame. © Netflix For the uninitiated, 'Selection Day' follows the story of two brothers, Radha and Manju, who are trained by their cricket obsessed father to become India's next-gen pair of greatest crickets. After decimating every team in and around their villages, they are brought to Mumbai to try their luck in domestic leagues. The last episode of Season 1 ended with the brothers facing life-changing situations and with 113 days left to selection day. Now, while we know that Sachin has constantly been associated to the cricket scene in India one way or the other, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that he recently got together with two leading actors from the Netflix show, as well as former West Indies skipper Brian Lara, for a gully cricket match! © Netflix By his own admission, Sachin shares that “I don't even remember when I played my last gully cricket match. It was probably a long time ago in Sahitya Sahawas in Bandra East where I grew up.” The video is fun to watch and we can see Sachin and Brian share some valuable insights with Radha and Javed from the Netflix show. © Netflix As for Brian Lara, he gives some precious lessons on following one's passion in whatever we one to do, and seeing it through in all sincerity. And Sachin has only one thing to add to that, “Let the journey begin from the heart”, he says. Catch all the action in this video.
  17. Christopher Henry Gayle, this man has grown to become the bane of a lot of bowlers' existence through his 20 years of batting for the Windies team and the thought of bowling six deliveries to this batting legend seems to be a harrowing one. But, as a member of a cricket team, you have got to do what your captain says. Thus, came in the 25-year-old Mohammed Siraj to bowl his first over of the game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) with the 'Universe Boss', himself on strike. To add to Siraj's misery, his first over also happened to be the final one of the batting Power Play for the Kings XI so Gayle had a little extra motivation to lookout for bigger shots during these six deliveries. Opening the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowler's over with a four on the first ball, Gayle smoked Siraj for a six and another four on the second and third deliveries, respectively. Letting the gasping pacer breathe for a dot ball, Gayle continued the onslaught hitting another six and a four on the last two deliveries of the spell, bagging a total of 24 runs in the sixth over, all for himself. SIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRAAAA-J WELCOME! ð 4,6,4, Gayle has decided to unleash and he's taking on Siraj here. ð#SaddaPunjab #KXIPvRCB #KXIP #VIVOIPL — Kings XI Punjab (@lionsdenkxip) April 13, 2019 Siraj went on to bowl three more overs of his quota but resulted in becoming the most expensive bowler for the Virat Kohli side giving away 54 runs in 24 legal deliveries. Throughout the 2019 season of the IPL, Siraj has been one of the costliest bowlers not only for Bangalore but the entire league. Having bowled 22.1 overs this season, Siraj has let off 210 runs while bagging just six scalps with an economy rate of 9.47. After his first showing of the match, RCB fans took to Twitter to speculate as to what keeps the team managers of the squad from dropping him: Mohammed Siraj has @imVkohli 's nudes. Why else would he be selected? #KXIPvRCB — Harshith (@CS_Harshith) April 13, 2019 It's hard to understand why @imVkohli is still having Mohammed Siraj in the @RCBTweets team after so many disappointing performances by him. #IPL2019 #KXIPvsRCB — Vaibhav K (@VaibhavKajarek2) April 13, 2019 Still a better bowler than Mohammed Siraj ð𤣠#VIVOIPL #PerfectFan #HYDERABAD #KXIPvRCB #PLAYBOLD pic.twitter.com/C2hKZg4eNj — Prithvi Cena (@prithvicena21) April 13, 2019 Hey @RCBTweets why is #MohammedSiraj is in playing X1 such a useless player — Sushith (@Sushithsuvarna) April 13, 2019 Mohammed siraj = lol — Prashanth Karanth (@Prashanth511) April 13, 2019
  18. 'God of War' was one phenomenal game and it became one of our all-time favourites for various reasons. We reviewed the game when it released, and ever since then GoW has been winning major awards for 'Game of the Year'. Having said that, one of the most reputed academies, that is, 'The British Academy Games Awards' also awarded the game of the same time along with five other wins for the game. It managed to beat 'Red Dead Redemption II' which is not a small feat as Rockstar's game also got high acclaim. © Sony Santa Mocia The game won awards for the best Narrative, Audio Achievement, Performer (Jeremy Davies as The Strang) and Music. Other games like “Return Of The Obra Dinn” also won awards for Best Game Design and Artistic Achievement. Nintendo Labo won awards for best game innovations and Family game. Forza Horizon 4 won the award for best British Game, while flawed but interesting co-op game whereas A Way Out won the multiplayer award. © Sony Santa Mocia 'God of War' is a visual masterpiece paired with some awesome music score to give the player a complete cinematic experience. Visually, the game looks beautiful on PlayStation 4 Pro and is probably one of the best looking games we've played this generation. The narrative felt compelling and enjoyable for the majority of the time and has managed to incorporate an addictive and satisfying combat system. God of War is an excellent action-adventure game that incorporates a great cinematic experience every God of War fan should experience.
  19. Just when we thought the whole PUBG addiction fiasco has come to an end, we hear a new story about someone taking their own life. This time, it's an Indian teenager from Hyderabad who has committed suicide, after his mother allegedly scolded him for playing PUBG on his phone during the board exams. The 16-year-old boy named Kallakuri Samsbashiva, who was a class X student, hung himself from the ceiling fan of his room. Apparently, he latched his bedroom from the inside after being scolded by his mother for playing the game for too long instead of studying for his board exam. © PUBG Corp. As soon as the parents and the neighbors knocked down the door and found him hanging, they rushed him to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival. While speaking to Deccan Chronicle, sub-inspector K Sanjeeva Reddy said the boy has been playing the game for months, which led to his addiction. The news about the boy taking his life comes as a surprise, especially when just heard that the ban on the game has been lifted. It's high time that people start taking this more seriously and act responsibly. Or else it's only a matter of time until the game gets banned and people start getting arrested, again.
  20. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) has been in hot waters for a while now in India. From being banned to people getting arrested for playing it while the ban was in force, there has been a lot of chit-chat about the game. But now after a lot of criticism on social media, the ban imposed by the state of Gujarat on PUBG Mobile has finally been lifted. The decision came straight from the police commissioner A K Singh, after taking feedback from the public. © PUBG Corp. “Today is the last day of the proclamation we had issued. Yesterday, this matter came up for review and we decided that as the exam session is over and the direct trigger to initiating the action is not valid any more, we will not renew the proclamation. We have also taken public reaction into account, said the commissioner.' The game, in case you don't know, was banned for being violent and for inciting violence. It was also leading to accidental deaths, kids stealing money to buy in-game items, and more. Of course, banning the game wasn't an ideal solution, but that's apparently what the majority of people wanted. © PUBG Corp. Well, now that the ban has been lifted, let's not get carried away and spend all of our time playing it. It's high time that we, the players of the game, give it some thought and take some responsibility of our actions. Unless you are looking to dive in professionally, gaming is just a form of entertainment. Too much of it is not good for both your physical as well as mental health. As it turns out, you may even end up getting a game banned or end up in a jail for playing too much. So, let's focus on creating a healthy gaming environment, and enjoy ourselves while we are at it.
  21. From a street-smart lad Bittoo Sharma to the ruthless tyrant Alauddin Khilji; from a corrupt officer-turned-hero Sangram 'Simmba' Bhalerao to a talented street rapper Murad trying to make it big in the world; Ranveer Singh has proved his versatility and mettle with every character he has played. Now, the actor is gearing up to play another challenging role of his career, i.e. getting into the shoes of Kapil Dev for his upcoming movie '83. And when the real-life and reel-life superstars come together on stage, can there be anything else one can possibly ask for? Instagram On days when Ranveer Singh is not taking the world by storm with his performance, he is doing so with his questionable (yet widely appreciated) taste in fashion. So, winning a style icon award is not something unusual or surprising. But, what's interesting is the fact that Ranveer received the award from none other than Kapil Dev, the guy he will soon play on the big screen. In fact, as Ranveer came to collect his award, he even imitated the bowling action of 'The Haryana Hurricane' and then hugged him. Instagram Reportedly, he said "Abhi to party shuru hui hai, Mic mere haath mei aaya hai. I feel amazing accepting award from the legend, Kapil Dev. How am I going to look this handsome, he is the next character I am playing. I am hoping to make him proud." During the award show, Ranveer even gave a *not so* useful advice to the newlyweds, which actor Akshay Kumar was clearly not satisfied with. He said, "Jo tumne kiya hai, bohot sahi kiya hai. Mubarak ho, you have made the right choice in life." Ranveer's wife Deepika Padukone couldn't attend the show since she's busy shooting for her next movie 'Chhapaak'.
  22. 2019 has been particularly good for the gaming community, with new titles launching back and forth. The year started off strong with the survival-horror game 'Resident Evil 2' remake, following which we saw some other titles like 'Metro: Exodus', 'Kingdom Hearts III', and more. March, on the same lines, is also looking just as exciting. We don't have too many game launches lined up for this month, but I've managed to compile a list of games that you should be playing this month. Let's take a look - 1. Devil May Cry 5 © CAPCOM If you fancy flashy combos and some crazy, over-the-top Japanese action, then you've got to play 'Devil May Cry 5'. DMC 5 is the next title in the action combat series, in which you'll get to play as three characters - Dante, Nero and a newcomer named V. This new character can summon demons to assist you in combat. 'Devil May Cry 5' also has an online component dubbed Cameo system, which will allow you to fight with others during the different points in the campaign. Much like every other new DMC title, DMC 5 also introduces new weapons, enemies, and new abilities. So expect to find yourself in an action-packed title. You can read our review of the game here. 2. Dead or Alive 6 © Koei Tecmo 'Dead or Alive 6' is the latest entry into the long-running 'Dead or Alive' fighting game series. This entry, in particular, puts more emphasis on realism and graphic detail during combat. If you've played the previous title, then you'll also see some gameplay changes. 'Dead or Alive 6' also introduces a new auto-combo system, as well as new counter and rush attack movements. Currently, the game has over 26 characters, and it looks like a few more will be added with the DLCs. 'Dead or Alive 6' is available for PC, Xbox One and PS4. 3. Tom Clancy's The Division 2 © Ubisoft 'The Division 2' is probably one of the most anticipated titles to come out this year. The game will continue the story of the original, however, this title is taking place in Washington DC. Much like the original title, 'The Division 2' is also a third-person online shooter, in which you'll play along with other players taking on missions to save people. We're not going to give out much about the game itself, but you can wait for our full review of the game which is dropping very soon. The game is available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. 4. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice © Sekiro 'Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice' is the new game from the director of Dark Souls series, Hidetaka Miyazaki. In this new title, you'll play as a one-armed shinobi put up in Japan. It's a third-person action game that'll require you to pay good attention and react to your enemy's attack patterns. Your objective in the game is to rescue your kidnapped lord and avenge the clan that's responsible for the events in the game. If you're into games like 'Bloodborne', then I am sure you'll have a great time playing this game. Sekiro is also available for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
  23. Over the years we have come to think of Ajay Devgn as being synonymous to Bollywood's most sought-after action hero. Sure, Akshay Kumar is also a leading name in the category, but when it comes to someone who has been acing each and every role in this category, we can only think of Devgn. Ajay made the entire country eat out of his hands when he first graced the screen as Bajirao Singham, the righteous and daring cop who would go to the end of this world to bring the culprits to justice. View this post on Instagram What do you think are they telling each other? A post shared by Ajay Devgn (@ajaydevgn) on Jan 19, 2019 at 8:57am PST We have loved him and his daredevilry in the 'Singham' series, and feel that no one could have done it better than the man himself, but as per latest reports, it seems Ajay is all set to explore other aspects and roles in the action category and he will next be seen portraying the role of an IAF Wing Commander in the film titled 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India'. The film is reportedly based on true incidents, wherein Ajay will be seen essaying the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik who was in charge of the Bhuj airport during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. The airstrip was destroyed by Pakistani air strikes and Karnik mobilised 300 local women to rebuild it for the Indian Air Force aircrafts to make a safe landing. Karnik played a pivotal role in helping keep the airstrip operational amidst heavy bombing from Pakistan. He was heroic enough to take this bold step of involving civilians in a war. Also, who better than Ajay Devgn for the role of Vijay Karnik?” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ajay Devgn (@ajaydevgn) on Jun 6, 2016 at 7:26am PDT Karnik recalled the events from the eventful incident and he is glad that Ajay has agreed to play his character in the film. Talking to the media he said, “We were fighting a war and if there had been any casualties of any of these women, it would have been a great loss. But I took the decision and it worked out. I had briefed them where they could take shelter if attacked and they followed it bravely. Also, I could only see Ajay Devgn essaying my character and I'm glad that he's on board.” We can't wait for this one.
