  1. It doesn't matter how many times you fall until you have the courage to get up and going again, and the same formula applies to the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in this year's Indian Premier League. Despite losing six matches in a row, RCB is showing signs of improvement by winning three games out of the last four. With RCB having a one-in-a-million chance of qualifying for the playoffs, they have to make sure they win all of their remaining matches. King Kohli took a sigh of relief when they earned another two points by defeating the table-toppers Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by one run. Regardless of an outstanding knock of 84 by the 'Thallaiva' MS Dhoni himself, the wounded Challengers did manage to seize a win from CSK's mouth. View this post on Instagram Unreal stuff at the Chinnaswamy stadium as @royalchallengersbangalore keep the fight going ðª #RCBvCSK A post shared by IPL (@iplt20) on Apr 21, 2019 at 11:35am PDT Soon after the game, the game changer from RCB; Dale Steyn got into a fun chat with skipper Kohli about the evolution of their relationship over the years. From hugging each other in 2009 to the right arm pacer scooping Chiku after the celebration of Suresh Raina's wicket, the bromance between both still remains intact. Kohli showed a collage of his picture with the South-African pacer calling it a “ten-year challenge,” by adding that Steyn looks the same and that he has changed a lot over the years. They further went on to praise each other for all the achievements and accolades. View this post on Instagram Delighted to have Steyn back in the team - Virat Kohli . In their @royalchallengersbangalore reunion, watch what happens when @virat.kohli and @dalesteyn discover a 9 year old treasure! #RCBvCSK . Full video ð¹ on our IG story or click the link in the bio. A post shared by IPL (@iplt20) on Apr 21, 2019 at 5:30pm PDT With four games still to be played by RCB, they will surely aim for the impossible and make it to the playoffs. Let's wait and watch if they can get the momentum this late in the season.
  2. MacKenzie Bezos, the woman who became the world's third richest woman overnight. Well, not quite. MacKenzie had been married to Amazon founder and world's richest man Jeff Bezos for the last 26 years, which made them the richest couple in the world. So, the woman had been rich, as well as a billionaire even before Jeff and MacKenzie parted ways and headed for what would turn out to be the 'world's most expensive divorce'. (c) Twitter Earlier today, MacKensie announced that post her divorce, she now owns company shares that are worth over 35 billion dollars, or over Rs 24 lakh crore, which sure made her a whole lot richer overnight. While Jeff Bezos has been always making news every other day, MacKenzie had stayed out of the spotlight for most part, until today. Here is everything we know about her. She's A Celebrated Novelist (c) Twitter MacKenzie is a noted American novelist, who won an American Book Award for her debut novel 'The Testing of Luther Albright' (2005). MacKenzie started writing at an early age and had even written a 142-page book as a 6-year-old. She studied Creative Writing at Princeton University and has authored two novels till date, 'The Testing of Luther Albright' and 'Traps'. Nobel Prize Winning Author Toni Morrison Called Her “One Of The Best Students” (c) Twitter In 1992, Nobel Prize winner author Toni Morrison took MacKenzie as a research assistant for her novel 'Jazz', while the latter was studying at Princeton. In an interview with Vogue, Morrison said that Bezos was "one of the best students I've ever had in my creative-writing classes ... really one of the best." She reportedly also found a literary agent for MacKenzie. Jeff Bezos & MacKenzie's Love Story Jeff and Mackenzie first met when Jeff was interviewing for the position of administrative assistant at the hedge fund D.E. Shaw & Co. in New York. MacKenzie happened to be the first interviewee for the role, which she had taken up to pay the bills while she worked on her novels. At the time, MacKenzie was 23, and Jeff 30. (c) Twitter In an interview with Vogue in 2013, she told the magazine, “My office was next door to his, and all day long I listened to that fabulous laugh. How could you not fall in love with that laugh?” Within months of their first date, the couple got engaged and eventually married in 1993. She Played A Pivotal Role In Amazon's Launch (c) Twitter It is said that when Jeff and MacKenzie first moved to Seattle to launch Amazon in 1994, MacKenzie worked as one of the company's first accountants. She even used to ship early order, besides handling many other aspects of the company. Once the brand found its footing, she stepped back and began focusing on her writing. The Jeff & MacKenzie Bezos Family (c) Twitter Jeff and MacKenzie have three sons and a daughter who were adopted by the couple from China. To this day, Jeff and MacKensie are very private about this aspect of their life. MacKenzie once told Vogue magazine that she and Jeff are hands-on parents and experiment with various parenting and education techniques. “We tried all sorts of things, including off-season travel, kitchen-science experiments, chicken incubation, Mandarin lessons, the Singapore math program, and lots of clubs and sports with other neighborhood kids,” she was quoted as saying by the magazine. pic.twitter.com/OJWn3OOLS6 — MacKenzie Bezos (@mackenziebezos) April 4, 2019 However, today MacKenzie has officially parted ways with her ex-husband. While the announcement stated that they would “continue our shared lives as friends,” the final divorce settlement, which was finalised earlier today, hasn't come at a marginal cost. As per Forbes, with $35 billion in her bank account, MacKenzie Bezos is now world's third-richest woman after divorce. All in all, MacKenzie Bezos would be the world's 26th richest person after her expensive divorce from Jeff Bezos.
  3. MS Dhoni is the 'coolest' captain the Indian cricket team has ever had. And literally so. Boy, can the man keep calm under duress or what? The former Indian skipper even holds a number of epithets along the same lines, such as 'Captain Fantastic' and 'Mr. Iceman', apart from the most popular one, 'Captain Cool'. © Twitter However, today people on Twitter are chanting his name for an entirely different reason and one that is truly heartwarming. We all know how passionate Dhoni is about cricket, which obviously extends to his love for his Indian Premier League team, Chennai Super Kings and its supporters. © Twitter So, last evening, after the match with Mumbai Indians came to an end, Dhoni met up with one such special fan patiently, who was rooting for him and cheering the team from the stands. The fan is special because she is an elderly woman who was seen gracing the stands during the match, holding a placard that read, “I am here only for Dhoni.” Captain cool, @msdhoni humble ð Heartwarming to see this gesture from the legend in Mumbai ð¤@ChennaiIPL #VIVOIPL pic.twitter.com/6llHlenIzL — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) April 4, 2019 Captain Cool not only interacted with his die-hard, elderly fan with humility and affection, but also clicked selfies with her, and presented her with an autographed CSK jersey! The video of this heartwarming meeting was shared on the Indian Premier League's official Twitter handle, which has since been widely viewed and circulated on social media. © Twitter What's more, all the Dhoni fans across the country cannot stop chanting 'Captain Cool' for his kind gesture from Dhoni. 4. While depression isn't an easy condition to deal with, we have a lot of people coming forward and talking about it openly. This not only helps others who are going through it, to accept it and deal with it, but also normalises the whole philosophy behind depression, which in most cases is seen as a regressive state to go through, in society. © Twitter The most progressive stance though has been taken by celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Honey Singh and even Justin Bieber, who have openly talked about going through depression and experiencing every nuance of it and crossing the gripping hurdle one day at a time. Very recently, singer Armaan Malik revealed his battle with depression as well and said he was heavily inspired by singer Justin Beiber's posts on depression, on social media to face his own internal issues and come and talk about them, openly. Armaan also talked about efforts he was making towards rectifying his mental health and how he will never give up on it. © Twitter In a recent Tweet he said: “I've always been honest about my feelings in general so yes I'VE NOT BEEN OK for a while now & I know my fans have been worried about me. I resonated a lot with Justin's recent post where he said he's battling a lot of internal issues” I've always been honest about my feelings in general so yes I'VE NOT BEEN OK for a while now & I know my fans have been worried about me. I resonated a lot with Justin's recent post where he said he's battling a lot of internal issues — ARMAAN MALIK (@ArmaanMalik22) 26 March 2019 He also tweeted: “I have been too and it's not easy coz even if you have people you love around you, you need to sort out stuff YOURSELF!! But just wanna tell all of you, I have been super patient, I've tried my best to be positive & that's what has gotten me through a lot of my low phases.” I have been too and it's not easy coz even if you have people you love around you, you need to sort out stuff YOURSELF!! But just wanna tell all of you, I have been super patient, I've tried my best to be positive & that's what has gotten me through a lot of my low phases. — ARMAAN MALIK (@ArmaanMalik22) 26 March 2019 He then added a glimpse of positivity for 2019, saying: “So don't need to worry. It's gonna be a KICKASS 2019 and EVER YEAR"! So don't need to worry. It's gonna be a KICKASS 2019 and EVER YEARâï¸ — ARMAAN MALIK (@ArmaanMalik22) 26 March 2019 Lastly, the 'Bol Do Na Zara' singer Tweeted: “Just realised that it's not only me, it's you and everybody else around us and we all go through some intense stuff on a daily basis which we don't talk about. Let's all be strong together" Just realised that it's not only me, it's you and everybody else around us and we all go through some intense stuff on a daily basis which we don't talk about. Let's all be strong together ðð¼ — ARMAAN MALIK (@ArmaanMalik22) 26 March 2019 Which was a very helpful Tweet, might I add, considering a lot of people today are undergoing mental health issues and aren't very sure how to bring them up, without falling under the trap of it being a social taboo. Armaan's fans also came forward in his support for speaking up on such a crucial matter. We're very glad Armaan came forward to openly admit and talk about depression and we wish and pray everything works out well for him!
  5. A few days ago, Netflix teased us with a post that something big is going to happen in 14 days. Netflix tweeted, "Calendar nikaal. Tareekh likh le. 14 din mein kuch bada hone wala hai." This one tweet was enough to send all the 'Sacred Games' fans in a frenzy and giving them sleepless nights wondering if season 2 of 'Sacred Games' is finally dropping. Calendar nikaal. Tareekh likh le. 14 din mein kuch bada hone wala hai. — Netflix India (@NetflixIndia) March 19, 2019 Today, just a few minutes ago, they dropped another major bomb on all the fans in a series of cryptic posts. If there's anything more powerful than "Sab marenge sirf Trivedi bachega", it is this announcement, "Bolo 'Aham Brahmasmi.' 6 din mein sab kuch dikhayi dene lagega." © Netflix If you look closely, you might realise that there's a major hint hidden in the post, about the second season that all Gaitonde fans are desperately waiting for. There are four pictures and each one have titles like Bidalah-A-Gita, Katham Asti, Antara Mahavana and Unagamam. So MAYBE, there will only be four episodes in the season, but we aren't sure about it. View this post on Instagram Bolo 'Aham Brahmasmi.' 6 din mein sab kuch dikhayi dene lagega. A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) on Mar 26, 2019 at 10:31pm PDT But, you know what else is coming in 6 days...April 1 which is April Fool's Day. So, we hope all this hype does not turn into a prank that no one saw coming. We'll only get to know all this after 6 days, when they drop more details about the season or the whole season. All these cryptic posts and our increasing excitement make us wonder that "Kabhi Kabhi lagta hai Netflix hi bhagwan hai."
  6. On March 15, the prayers of the worshippers at a Christchurch mosque turned into screams, after a gunman mercilessly opened fire and killed nearly 50 people. This was, like Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said, "one of New Zealand's darkest days". Since then, the whole nation has come together as one, to mourn the loss of the people killed in the attack and wipe the tears of their family members. Reuters Post the attack, PM Jacinda Ardern has been standing in solidarity with the Muslim community and Ardern even said "We are one" in one of the interviews post the attack. Ardern is being hailed as a hero across the world for standing together with the victims and their families and for tightening gun laws in the country. Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building in Dubai, too honoured her by lighting up with a photo of Ardern in a hijab hugging a woman after the Christchurch shootings. Reuters UAE Vice President and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum took to Twitter to thank PM Jacinda Ardern and wrote, "New Zealand today fell silent in honour of the mosque attacks' martyrs. Thank you PM @jacindaardern and New Zealand for your sincere empathy and support that has won the respect of 1.5 billion Muslims after the terrorist attack that shook the Muslim community around the world." 7. Earlier this February, Atletico Madrid had bolstered their chances of progressing in UEFA Champions League following a stunning 2-0 triumph over Juventus in the first-leg of their Round of 16 clash at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium. Two late goals from their centre-backs had given Atleti a significant lead before their trip to Turin for the second-leg clash. If manager Diego Simeone's animated celebration at the touchline highlighted what the first-leg triumph meant to them, the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo's threat was carefully nullified by Atletico, put the Portuguese's Champions League reign in jeopardy. But, three weeks later, what eventually unfolded at the Allianz stadium, cannot be described in words. With their back against the wall, Juventus pulled off one of the spirited fightbacks in the history of the European competition. Trailing 0-2 (on aggregate), Massimiliano Allegri's men blanked the visitors 3-0 to the sheer joy of a packed Allianz stadium crowd. And, if Juventus' turnaround allowed them to fire warning shots to their rivals, the five-star performance of Ronaldo, once again, reminded everyone why he considered one of the all-time greatest to have blessed the game. © Reuters Juventus' 99-million-pound summer signing lived up to his billing with a remarkable hat-trick which sent the home fans into delirium. A stunning header in the 27th minute, another one in 49th minute and a calm finish from the spot-kick in the 86th minute allowed Ronaldo to enter Juventus folklore on the back of yet another sensational performance in Europe's biggest competition. While Ronaldo's 'Herculean show' single-handedly allowed Juventus to overturn their deficit from the first-leg and progress further in the tournament, it also brought his own girlfriend to tears in the stands as she watched her partner script a sensational turnaround for his team. Georgina Rodriguez, who was accompanied by Ronaldo's son Cristiano Jr, looked content after watching her partner score from two headers in the match. But, her excitement, akin to the fans in the stands, reached an all-time high after Ronaldo slammed the penalty past Jan Oblak to win the tie for Juventus. Georgina Rodriguez cried in audienceð Glad to be a family together! Appreciate the miracle made by Ronaldo with Juve spirit!! #FinoAllaFineForzaJuventus pic.twitter.com/LWA5JjVtF2 — æ½å½ç¥¥ (@Guoxiang_Pan) March 12, 2019 After taking a moment to catch her brath, Rodriguez couldn't help but let tears of joy roll down her eyes in the stands. On the other hand, Cristiano Jr was seen celebrating wildly after watching his father complete his hat-trick on a night that will be hard to forget for both Juventus and Atletico fans. View this post on Instagram Este 3-0 nadie te lo roba. Cristianito, Mateo, Eva, Alana, Georgina. @cristiano A post shared by Georgina Rodríguez (@georginagio) on Mar 12, 2019 at 3:32pm PDT After the match, Rodriguez took to Instagram and paid a heartfelt tribute to her boyfriend and his achievements. Sharing a picture of a young Ronaldo posing in a football kit, Rodriguez's message in Spanish loosely translates to: "This 3-0 nobody steals it. You deserve it, not for the three goals tonight. You deserve it for your dedication, for what you get in the club where you are. You are a trailer for your teammates, coach and everyone we admire and support every day. Karma exists. God knows, God gives it to you, because the world of soccer is yours. WE LOVE YOU. Cristianito, Mateo, Eva, Alana, Georgina". To put things in perspective, Ronaldo has now scored 124 goals and continues to remain Champions League's all-time top-scorer. He has also claimed eight hat-tricks in the history of the European competition. For someone who has won the European Cup four times in the last five years, Ronaldo is now gaining ground to claim his sixth Champions League title (having won one with Manchester United in 2008).
  8. Indian men have gone through layers of conditioning before they finally fell into a layer that made them the men they are today. As vague as that statement sounds, it holds true for an India post the #MeToo movement. Every man I meet nowadays is either talking about how to respect women better or be their 'knight in shining armour'. Truth be told, women don't really need a knight in shining armour as much as they need equality from their men. Be it their partners, they're subordinates, they're mentors, teachers, colleagues, or even their boss, women seek equality in terms of varying thought processes and of course actions. (c)Twitter While delving further into this, I came across research hosted by a popular dating app called OkCupid, talking about how men have evolved in the way they submit to their thoughts and actions in society and how perspectives have truly changed where they're concerned. The research throws light on a gentle evolution of how, post the #MeToo movement, men have a fair insight into a woman's perpetual struggle in society and helping them link ties and making things equal is something they're honouring more and more every day. Here are 3 things that have evolved for men post the #MeToo movement and we hope this Women's Day, all women realise they're not alone: (1) A Blunt Understanding Of Feminism There are, and there always will be a few men, who either don't care about feminism, are indifferent towards it, or who completely disagree with it. But there are also a lot of them who're changing their perspective on what feminism is essentially and have supported the cause as much as they're supporting the movement. Apart from subjective connotations for feminism, almost 87% of men believe feminism is 'equality between both the genders'. This perspective has helped enhance the solemn trajectory of how women are treated in certain spaces by the male population and it's certainly an improvement. (c)Twitter (2) Being House Husbands & Homemakers A lot of men, about 88% of them, according to research by the app, are offering to share equal responsibilities with the women, around the house. Be it cleaning or cooking or even taking care of the kids, men are more acceptable about changing roles and taking up something more or equally challenging. A lot of men have taken up to being 'house husbands' if their wives are in successful jobs, which demand long hours from them. This phenomenal acceptance in running the household along with the woman is a welcoming change for sure. (c)Eros International (3) Men Stand-Up For Work Place Harassment About 86% of the population is very much against workplace harassment. Since #MeToo had a big part to play in overall sexual harassment, men became more wary and sensitive about it, especially at places where they'd spend the maximum number of hours. A more vigilant and tolerant attitude was donned by most men around harassment in general and if they're the true watchdogs and a beacon of hope for maintaining peace and security, women shouldn't have much to worry about, especially at workplaces. (c)Pintrest These evolving attitude changes donned by most men is a defining strength for our democracy. With about 81% of the men coming forward in support of the #MeToo movement, we've seen the evolutionary balance become a lot steadier and men become a lot more understanding and tolerant. So, if you're a man and you're reading this article, maybe realise that your own brothers around you are wilfully looking for a change and change is happening, according to this research. So, maybe try and partake in this positive change and build a safe, happy and just society, together.
  9. When legendary Liverpool manager Bill Shankly said, “Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that” he really meant it. So, it's quite often that we see a game as small as a Sunday League one, turn into an emotionally charged affair. With tackles flying in, passionate running and heart wrenching moments, a footballer is always fighting for something more than three points. This turns to be true for every football fan as well. Frequently considered as the '12th man' of a team, football without fans would be just eleven men kicking the ball around. However, being a fan comes at a cost. Despite the sheer agony and pleasure that one feels at the special Champions League nights and at the weekends, the dark side of the game does rear its ugly head sometimes. After witnessing the historic comeback of his beloved Manchester United in Paris, a Red Devils' fan was stabbed in the chest by a taxi driver and is undergoing emergency surgery. The 44-year old fan was travelling back to the city centre with three other supporters. Angered by their celebrations, the taxi driver threatened a female passenger with a 'large blade' before turning on a male passenger and stabbing him, leaving him to fight for his life. A man was arrested by local police in connection with the incident, but no weapon has been recovered. We understand football is not 'just a game' but this guy went way too far. Actions like these are appalling and a disgrace to mankind. We wish the victim a speedy recovery and hope UEFA & FIFA will make joint efforts in order to ensure the safety of travelling fans in future.
  10. Post the deadly Pulwama terror attack, the entire country is left in a state of horror and shock. Over 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives and we're still trying to put the pieces together, all across the country, not sure if they'll fit anymore. But an international humanitarian organisation by the name of 'Khalsa Aid' and some local Gurudwaras and individual Sikhs helped the Kashmiri population who were trying to escape vigilante mob attacks all across the country and we know for sure there is still some faith left in humanity. © Twitter The organisation gave protection, food and shelter to many stranded Kashmiris and helped them reach back safe to their homes in Kashmir. The violence erupted all over North India where many Kahsmiri students were being attacked in retaliation to the attack on the 14th of February and with the help of Khalsa Aid, they've all made it back home safe. © Twitter As a mark of gratitude and in order to thank the Sikh communities, the Kashmiris have now expressed their love for the Sikhs for helping them out in times of need and have offered free services to the Sikhs, namely medical treatments and education and free snow bike rides in Gulmarg. © Twitter So much so, a cartoon caricatured by a Kashmiri cartoonist by the name of Suhail Naqshbandi has gone viral on social media. The sketch depicts a Sikh offering a helping hand to a drowning Kashmiri, narrating the benevolent services and gratitude towards the brotherhood. Sardar means a leader and they lead by example. 11. If you're cued in with what's happening in Bollywood, you'd know Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' is releasing in July 2019. The much-awaited Roshan biopic is based on the life of maths genius, Anand Kumar, who runs the famous super 30 program for IIT aspirants in Patna. All the Hrithik fans are truly geared up to watch him play Anand's character. © Viacom18 Motion Pictures The film though has a slight twist of faith, in a good, reckoning way though! The film ran in to trouble recently when director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual misconduct by two women and became a part of the #MeToo movement. Soon after, the makers of the film decided to ask him to leave the project in order to preserve the sanctity of the film. Since then, the movie does not seem to have a director and its release has been delayed. Earlier it was supposed to release on the 25th of January but now it's scheduled to release on the 26th of July. © Twitter As soon as Vikas was shown the exit door, Anurag Kashyap, Vikas's former partner from now dissolved Phantom Films took over the project and is overseeing the post production of the film. In fact, Shibasish Sarkar, group CEO of Reliance Entertainment, revealed that the film will have no directorial credit whatsoever. "Vikas is not associated with the edit and post-production. There will be no director credit for anyone. As a producer, after substantial investment of time, money and the efforts of all our technicians and talent, it is our responsibility to complete the film with the best possible resources available to us. Anurag is a partner, he has edited films of other Phantom partners in the past. He agreed to take this responsibility on Reliance's request, and with a professional and commercial understanding. Also, it has been agreed that he will not take any credit," the CEO told a popular publication. The film is being produced by Reliance Entertainment and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. © Twitter After the #MeToo movement hit Bollywood, a number of celebrities and producers, directors, and musicians were brought into the limelight on grounds of sexual misconduct and harassment. Vikas Bahl being one of them has been accused of the same by two women, one of them being the renowned actress Kangana Ranaut and the makers will think about putting his name back in the credit role if he gets a court order clearing his name out of it. © Viacom 18 Motion Pictueres By all means, the step taken towards maintaining the sanctity of the movement is quite praiseworthy and we hope more people from the film industry take similar steps toward the perpetrators.

The Indian cricket team is a fraternity, a brotherhood based on hours of working out and practising together every day, celebrating the highs, and crying over the lows of the team together as family. But that won't stop the interim skipper Rohit Sharma from trying to pull his fellow teammate and friend Yuzvendra Chahal's leg as soon as he gets a chance to do so. And that's exactly what Sharma did after ODI series against New Zealand ended in favour of India with a final score, 4-1. A couple of days after the fifth match in Wellington ended, Chahal uploaded an image in a rare avatar of that of a batsman along with Kuldeep Yadav with an inspirational caption: “Think big, believe big, act big, and the results will be big..!!” View this post on Instagram Think big, believe big, act big, and the results will be big..!! ð®ð³ð®ð³ A post shared by Yuzvendra Chahal (@yuzi_chahal23) on Feb 4, 2019 at 9:35pm PST Chahal's fans were praising his performance during the 5-match ODI series against the Kiwis when suddenly, out of the blue, the Hitman, Rohit Sharma decided to troll the spinner. Commenting on the Instagram post, Sharma said: "How about ironing your uniform." The comment was bang-on as Chahal's wrinkled out uniform does look as if it could use some ironing. However, Chahal soon responded: “And my big brother trying to troll me hmm nice try bhaiya you improved little bit keep it up.” The duo were also seen sharing a laugh at Yuzi's new BCCI show called 'Chahal TV' for which Sharma also volunteered to be the cameraman once. 14. Arguably one the biggest and most prestigious football clubs in the world, Arsenal is currently evolving under the structure of new coach Unai Emery, who replaced long-serving Arsene Wenger last year. The former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manager has struck a chord with the fans and continues to strive for the club's success. However, the recent times are proving to be really tough for the Gunners and their fans. Their chase to finish in the top four was dealt with a major blow after the likes of Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis Papastathopoulos were recently injured. Moreover, their 3-1 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup on 26th January also dampened the mood in the Arsenal camp. But, just when you thought their troubles were over, the Gunners and their fans found a new one thanks to Esha Gupta - the Arsenal club ambassador. Instagram/@egupta The Bollywood actress, who earlier dated Bellerin, stirred up a storm after a Whatsapp conversation with her friend surfaced on social media. The social media was abuzz and football fans up in arms as a snapshot of her conversation compared Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi to a gorilla. Instagram/@egupta Following the Gunners' FA Cup loss to United, the 33-year-old shared a screenshot of her conversation with a friend on Instagram as one of her stories. "Solves our winger issues. I can't see that gorilla faced Iwobi running down the flank again. He's so bad ya," her friend wrote. To which, Esha replied: "Hahahahahaha...I honestly dunno why they don't bench him more". The former Miss India International winner deleted the post, but the fans were not impressed by the antics of their club ambassador. Following a lot of backlash on the social media, Esha issued an apology, but it was a tad too late to undo the damage. Guys m sorry you thought it was racist. Well, seems like callousness got the better of 'Baaghi 2' beauty, Disha Patani, who posted a big blunder on her Instagram, unknowingly. © Twitter The actress, who's also known as a social media influencer, posted a promotional video for a mobile phone on her Instagram page. The video was like how all promotional videos are supposed to be- well thought out, where she learns about the good camera quality the phone has and takes pictures of herself while she's in various yoga poses. Unfortunately though, while posting the video on her page, she copy-pasted the wrong text as caption and didn't realise it until she was trolled and ridiculed by her followers for it. © Instagram disha patani is an advertising agency nightmare pic.twitter.com/mlu6gkhure — n (@themdavesaves) 22 January 2019 The wrongly put caption read: “Hey - final video is here. Obviously her 17 million followers were appalled at her foolishness or were convinced she's an 'advertising agency nightmare'. © Instagram A lot of other followers left no stone unturned and made it a point to comment on her absentmindedness. Although her fans defended her saying it's probably her team who'd captioned it and not her, we're still a tad doubtful as most celebrities usually manage their own Instagram and Twitter accounts. © Instagram Well, whatever it is, here's hoping against all hope Disha doesn't zone out again and copy-paste some seriously wrong captions at the risk of people asking her 'what are you smoking girl'?, the next time around! For now let's just wish we get to see the fit diva in 'Baaghi 3', with her rumoured bae Tiger Shroff.
  16. A decade ago, on the morning of January 22, 2008, Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight' became the only superhero film to be nominated in a record-breaking 8 categories, a stature that has not been achieved by any superhero genre film till date. via GIPHY The heartbreaking reality associated with this film that still pinches the movie buffs happens to be its exclusion from being nominated in the Best Picture category. Years later, just a day after the announcement of nominations of the 91st Academy Awards, the world is contemplating a rather historic moment that might change the whole significance of the Oscars forever. Ryan Coogler's tour-de-force 'Black Panther', which is a superhero saga, has been nominated for the Oscars in multiple categories including the esteemed Best Picture category. via GIPHY “Wakanda forever”, tweeted 'Black Panther's' lead actress Lupita Nyong'o, as she shared her extreme delight on the micro-blogging platform, regarding the film's nominations. Since then, social media has been buzzing with tweets, comments, and memes. Seven #OscarNoms for #BlackPanther, including best picture!! This is our reaction the first time we saw footage from the film and we're feeling this way all over again today! Thank you @TheAcademy! #WakandaForever #Oscars pic.twitter.com/lXWv3nsN90 — Lupita Nyong'o (@Lupita_Nyongo) January 22, 2019 Where on one hand, the film has been declared a shape-shifting cultural phenomenon prominently at various award ceremonies this year, others are fuming over the Academy's decision of putting the film in the Best Picture category. Who can forget the ultimate dismissal of 'The Dark Knight'? On the 10th death anniversary of Heath Ledger (Joker), fans remember! via GIPHY If we take a look back at Christopher Nolan's 'Batman' sequel, the film got nominated in eight categories and ended up winning two including the posthumous win by Heath Ledger who portrayed Joker in the film. The only possible reason behind the Best Picture nomination snub for 'The Dark Knight' is believed to be the Academy's limit on the number of candidates in this category. 'Black Panther's' nomination is being termed historic, however, one can't help but wonder if it's because of the controversial history of 'The Dark Knight' at the Oscars that the Marvel film got to this juncture? Does 'Black Panther' owe its nomination to the biggest snub of all time – the dismissal of Christopher Nolan's beloved project? via GIPHY 2019 brings more room for nominees in the Best Picture category and the number has been increased from 5 to between 5 and 10 films. That makes us think more and deeply about the loss 'The Dark Knight' faced at the hands of the Academy. Other films that have got nominated this year are 'A Star Is Born', 'Vice', 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'The Favourite', 'BlacKkKlansman', 'Green Book' and 'Roma'. But what are the chances of 'Black Panther's' win? The Academy has been famously known for dropping the last minute bombs! Remember the highly criticized 'La La Land' fiasco? As critics said, 'Moonlight's'well-deserved win was taken from their hands and the wrong film was announced on purpose, we don't know what the truth is, but two years later, we know that Hollywood is trying to prove a point here. via GIPHY In simple words, 'Black Panther's' nomination may just be a kind gesture by the Academy to avoid the 'Oscars So White' tirade! When the film surpassed James Cameron's 'Titanic' and became the third highest grossing movie ever in the United States, there came the indication that the Academy might consider it. However, this nomination is indeed a sheer surprise for us. via GIPHY Though stigma has taken a back seat and the film deserves an equal opportunity to win, but somehow, it is meant to be snubbed! Otherwise, it would be a naive but well-planned catastrophe directed towards Mr Nolan.
  17. The last 24 hours have not exactly been the brightest for the Pakistani cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmed, who was caught throwing racially motivated jibes at the South African all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo during the second ODI of five-match series at the Proteas' home turf. As things grew out of proportion, former Pakistani pacer and all-time-great Shoaib Akhtar too decided to humble the outspoken wicket keeper by uploading a minute and a half long video from all his social media handles which he later removed due to reasons unknown. The former cricketer urged Ahmed to make a public apology for the “absolutely disgusting comments” that he had made in Durban. Having said that, after an entire day of public humiliation, Ahmed finally tweeted a long apology in which he shows regret over hurting the sentiments of those who got offended by his “expression of frustration.” 1/2 - I wish to extend my sincere apologies to any person who may have taken offence from my expression of frustration which was unfortunately caught by the stump mic during yesterday's game against SA. However, the judiciary that social media has come to become, was not convinced with this apology of Ahmed's and they let him know that in the best way possible: I think you should be ashamed of yourself using racial language against a fellow cricketer We face racism in the uk everyday I know how it feels #shame — Talib Zaman (@TalibZaman) January 23, 2019 pic.twitter.com/aqLZzalNMq — Om Mehta (@om_mehta) January 23, 2019 pic.twitter.com/U29HzzSDgw — Phumlani Khulu (@Pumbaah1512) January 23, 2019 Saifi bhai ini English ð u made me cry ðð — Tehرeeemeee (Maheen's Bdy â¤) (@Cheerrryy_) January 23, 2019 Saifi bhai zuban zada chlate ho or balla kam chlate ho zada focus game pe rakho — Muhammad Asif Iqbal (@Muhammad_Aasif4) January 23, 2019 jhoot bolta hai bsdk? ðð — Aditya Acharya (@aadiacharya) January 23, 2019 The thing is, when you are caught saying something like “Abey kaale, teri ammi aaj kahaan baitheen hain? What [prayer] have you got her to say for you today?),” it doesn't really make a good case for you to say that your remarks weren't directed towards an individual and that you respect the people of colour. If you believe that your words weren't meant to be heard or understood by anyone from the opposing team, it doesn't make you less guilty. It is like Cameron Bancroft not wanting the cameras to catch his infamous ball-tampering incident in South Africa last year. According to the ICC Anti-Racism policy for International Cricket, Ahmed's apparent words of sledging unacceptable and he must be punished for it. If Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul are facing so much flak for their remarks on a talk-show, the Pakistani skipper must meet with a penalty a lot more severe.
  18. The Indian cricket team, recently, has been churning out some really fresh talent. It all started with selecting Prithvi Shaw for the England tour, and then Mayank Agarwal was called up in the middle of the Australian tour. And now, here comes another young prodigy, Shubman Gill, who will join the Men in Blue for the New Zealand tour. It all came as a surprise to the 19-year-old youngster, who got the news late at night and straight away rushed to his father, Lakhwinder Singh, to share the same. Going for a practice session the next day, it was totally a different ball game for the rookie, as he couldn't believe that he would be sharing the dressing room with the likes of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. © Instagram Both Vijay Shankar and Shubman Gill have been added to the squad as replacements for the suspended Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. While Vijay was expected to earn his maiden ODI call-up sooner than later, Gill's came as a surprise. He surely has proven his worth by scoring for India A on numerous occasions in 2018/19 but still, making it to the Indian National Team, and that too this soon, was something even he wouldn't have expected. From Kolkata Knight Riders to India A, to Ranji Trophy, this young star has grabbed every single opportunity on his way to glory. Scoring an impressive 1,089 runs in just 9 Ranji matches this year, he has given the critics a run for their money. And as destiny serves its best, there could be no better place for him to make his debut than in New Zealand. Performing well in the Under 19 World Cup, followed by the India A tour, both of which were in New Zealand, he has had a cumulative total of 434 runs (including a century against Pakistan in the Semi-Final) in mere eight matches with an average of 54.25, which proves that this lion can surely roar in the Kiwis' paradise. © Instagram “It is a big advantage (to be picked for the New Zealand tour). I played well there in the U-19 World Cup and now again I have got the opportunity. As I have done well there, I can say that there isn't much adjustment needed in the technique. If I get an opportunity, I will have just need to handle the pressure that comes with playing for India. Mentally, it will be different for sure but I am ready,” Gill told PTI on Sunday after getting the news of his life, late last night. Now, with the opportunity being provided to him on a silver platter, let's hope that the young Shubman Gill capitalizes on this chance of a lifetime.
  19. Ever since trading his Tottenham Hotspur's whites for Manchester City's blue jersey, Kyle Walker has become a vital cog in Pep Guardiola's world class outfit. Proving his mettle in the flexible right-back position, the England footballer has improved as a player and already boasts of a Premier League title, won through City's historic run last season. Continuing his fine form, the 28-year-old was among the scorers who recently annihilated Burton Albion in City's merciless 9-0 thrashing in the Carabao Cup. While City's rampant scoreline, in itself, garnered a lot of attention, Walker, too, grabbed the spotlight for his antics after the game. © Reuters Elated with his goal and performance of his teammates, the England international produced a tongue-in-cheek moment with a hilarious, but useless, post on Instagram. Sharing a picture of his goal against Burton, Walker claimed that he was better than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on the basis of some light-hearted stats. The City star captioned the picture, "Goals in 2019: Walker - 1, Ronaldo - 0, Goals in Carabao Cup: Walker - 1, Messi - O, end of discussion?". In what seems to be nothing more than a joke, Walker claimed that since he has scored more goals than Ronaldo (nine days into 2019) and more goals than Messi in the Carabao Cup (a competition that the Argentine can't play in), he has reached a conclusion on who is the best player in the world. View this post on Instagram Goals in 2019: Walker: 1 Ronaldo: 0 Goals in Carabao Cup: Walker: 1 Messi: 0 End of discussion? A post shared by Kyle Walker (@kylewalker2) on Jan 9, 2019 at 2:09pm PST Walker was trying to capitalise on the long-running argument among football fans who've been divided over the years on 'who is the best player in the world - Messi or Ronaldo?'. Both the mega stars have won the Ballon d'Or a record five times. But, their dominance at the prestigious honour was finally broken by Real Madrid's Luka Modric who became the first player, other than Ronaldo and Messi, since 2007 to win the Ballon d'Or. Following his far-fetched comments, Walker will now be hoping to walk the talk when City return to Premier League action when they host resilient Wolves - a side that has held the defending champions to a 1-1 draw earlier this season. In terms of the title race, after losing some ground with back-to-back defeats, City produced a prolific performance to beat arch-rivals Liverpool that allowed them close the gap at the top to four points now.

But, that wasn't the case at Kapil's wedding. He put the extra food to good use by filling thousands of empty stomachs who were in need of that food. Reportedly, Kapil Sharma donated the extra food from his wedding and reception to an NGO called Feeding India, who distributed the food to the underprivileged. The founder of Feeding India, Ankit Kawatra said in a statement "Kapil Sharma is setting an example for others to follow by donating excess food from his big day. 22. Ardent fans and celebrity tabloids alike, waited with bated breath the entire day yesterday, for a glimpse of their favourite stars as a married couple. However, since there is still some time for Christmas, and Santa Claus isn't real, our wishes weren't granted. Obviously. Instead, we had to make do with sneaky and blurry images that looked like Ranveer and Deepika's silhouettes, caught in the middle of performing their wedding rituals. We were happy about it, of course. After all, don't they say something is better than nothing? 23. Guys, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh JUST got married. As we all know, Ranveer and Deepika will have two weddings - one is a traditional Konkani ceremony that has happened today and the other is a traditional Sindhi style wedding that will take place tomorrow i.e. November 15, 2018. While we were busy stalking social media to look for pictures from their mehendi and sangeet pictures, thinking there's still some time left in their wedding, recent reports have confirmed that the couple just got married as per the Konkani traditions, at the picturesque Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy. Because of the strict security guidelines, the wedding guests have been asked not to click or post any pictures of the bride and groom on social media. On one hand where Ranveer and Deepika are being super secretive about their wedding, their fans on the other hand are getting anxious and desperate waiting for the pictures. And twitter being twitter, it's venting out its frustration in the form of these hilarious memes. 24. It's very easy to focus on a single metric to gauge the success of your community. It's very common for community owners to look at page hits and determine if their SEO and marketing efforts have paid off. Getting traffic to your site is only half the equation though. The most valuable metric is how many casual visitors you're converting to engaged members. Invision Community already makes it easy for guests to sign up using external services such as Facebook, Twitter and Google. However, there has to be a conscious decision to click that sign-up button. For some, this may be a barrier too many. Invision Community 4.4 reduces this barrier by allowing guests to create a post to a topic they want to engage with. Once they have posted, they are asked to simply complete their registration. They are more likely to do this now they have invested in your community. This will be incredibly valuable when you consider how much traffic a forum receives from inbound Google searches. With Post Before Registering, you'll increase your chances of turning that inbound lead into a registered member contributing to your site. Let me take you through the feature and show you how it works. When browsing the community guests will see the ability to submit a post, with an explanation that they can post now and complete registration later. The only thing they have to provide in addition to their post is an email address. Posting as a guest This works in any application for new content (topics, Gallery images, etc.) as well as comments and reviews. It will only show when a newly registered member would be able to post in that area - for example, it will not show in a forum that only administrators can post in. After submitting the post, the post will not be visible to any user, but the user will immediately be redirected to the registration form with an explanation to complete the registration. The email address they provided will already be filled in. Registration form after posting as a guest At this point, the user can either fill in the registration form, or use a social sign in method like Facebook or Twitter to create an account. After the account has been created, and validation has been completed if necessary, their post will automatically be made visible just as if they had registered and then posted. If the user abandons the registration after they've submitted their post, an email will be sent to them to remind them to complete the registration. Email reminding user to finish registering Some Notes Invision Community already has a feature that allows guests to post as guests without registration if granted permission. That feature has not been removed and so if you already allow guests to post, the behaviour will not change. This new feature is only available when a guest can't post in a given area, but a member would be able to. The entire feature can also be turned off if undesired. If the area the guest is posting in requires moderator approval, or newly registered members require approval of new posts, the post will enter the moderation queue as normal once their account has been created. Third party applications will require minor updates to support this feature. Once your casual visitor has invested time in your community by crafting a post, they are much more likely to finish the registration to get it posted. If you have set up external log in methods, then registration only takes a few more clicks. This blog is part of our series introducing new features for Invision Community 4.4.

HT has quoted Irrfan's spokesperson as saying, “The story floating about Irrfan starting Hindi Medium 2 shoot in December are all based on speculations. However, there is a possibility of him returning to India after Diwali”.
