  1. Salman Khan's much awaited Eid mega-release 'Bharat' is here, and as expected, everyone attended the premiere. As impressed as we were with most outfits, one particular outfit made us take a closer look. We are talking about the debonair stylemaster Jackie Shroff, who even at 62, doesn't hesitate to experiment with unusual elements.1 (c) Viral Bhayani The first thing we noticed about Jaggu Dada's outfit of course is the fact that it looked very similar to what Salman Khan himself wore - an all black ensemble (sort of, with very dark jeans that had about a dozen of zippers). (c) Viral Bhayani As dapper as both of them looked in their cowboy-ish retro fare, Mr Shroff stood out because of a very strange accessory. He wore as a brooch, what looked like a carrot (or is it a turnip?) Well it's not an 'actual' vegetable, but a rather convincing specimen. What is it doing on his chest? What does it mean? Does it have a secret message? Is it a symbol for something? We have so many questions! (c) Viral Bhayani (c) Viral Bhayani We'll just make peace with the assumption that he's just using it as an unusual accessory. Now, we are all for unusual accessories, but this is one piece that stands out simply because how playfully weird it is, and even though it seemingly doesn't belong right there with the outfit, Jackie Shroff is making it work effortlessly. Talk about outstyling Bhai, that too on Eid.
  2. Game of Thrones season 8 premiere was the show's most-watched episode ever. That's right, it was watched by a record 17.4 million viewers when it aired. But you know what? That number could have been much higher if more people would have watched it, you know, legally. According to a digital-piracy analytics company Muso, the “Winterfell” episode was pirated 54 million times globally in just 24 hours. The pirated views easily dwarfs the legal views that came on the day it was aired. Of course, the number will likely go up in the coming days as more people start watching it, but so will the pirated views. © HBO MUSO's data also shows that the most pirated views came from India. Roughly 10 million views out of the estimated 54 million came from India. MUSO speculates that the piracy in India was higher due to the difficulty of accessing the show there. China, on the other hand, airs a censored version of the show, so 5 million pirated views came from there too. United States, despite having the easiest access to the show via HBO, came third in charts with close to 4 million illegal views. So yes, it looks like people are not ready to pay to watch 'Game of Thrones' after all. Anyway, the next episode of 'Game of Thrones' season 8 airs Monday, April 22 at 6.30 AM on Hotstar in India. So, you still have some time to catch up if you haven't already.
  3. Finally, the wait for 'Game of Thrones' season 8 premiere is over and most of us have already witnessed what goes on ahead in the series. If you haven't seen the episode yet (and I wonder why), then let me warn you this article contains heavy spoilers and you may want to consider reading it. The first episode of season 8 has everything elemental. From Jon Snow's return home, with the queen by his side, to infamous dragon rides across Winterfell, everything was placed in a manner that was in accordance from one revelation to another. The revelations made may have been small in gravity for now, but they were very impactful to further build the story and the characters. © HBO The most obvious element of episode 1 were the string of dysfunctional family reunions that took place, once Jon entered Winterfell with his troop. Some were very overwhelming (like imagine seeing your brother after seven years), while some were just oddly strange. Here's a list of the most looked-forward to reunions in season 8, episode 1 of 'Game of Thrones'. (1) Jon Snow & Arya Stark © HBO This was one of the most overwhelming parts of the episode, at least for me. When Jon was standing in front of the Weirwood tree, Arya sneaked up from behind and gave him a hug. It hits you the most when you realise the last time the two saw each other. It was before Jon left for the wall and handed Arya her sword, Needle. This time around when he noticed Needle on her, he asked her if she's ever used it and she said 'once or twice'. Well, it's only time till Jon finds out how many times Arya has actually used Needle. (2) Jon Snow & Bran Stark © HBO Jon and Bran last met before Jon left for the wall and at the time Bran was on bed rest, recovering from his fatal fall. Jon wasn't allowed to spend sufficient time with him before leaving as his mother, Catelyn Stark didn't allow Jon the time. So you can only imagine the emotion that went into this reunion! When Jon saw Bran, he went straight for his forehead to kiss it but realised the reunion was stunted considering Bran is now the Three-Eyed-Raven. Even so, we could see Bran was happy to see Jon and also shared his fair warning about the White-Walkers marching to Winterfell. (3) Arya Stark & Gendry © HBO The last time the two were seen together in season 3 were when they joined the 'Brotherhood', before Gendry was taken by Melisandre to Stannis Baratheon. But this reunion was playful and flirtatious and both seemed rather content and happy to find each other alive. Arya also asked Gendry to make a weapon for her and I think it's the most romantic thing an assassin can ask her crush to make, especially if he happens to be a blacksmith. We're not sure yet what the weapon entails but we do know it has two pointy-ends, according to the design Arya handed over to Gendry. According to GoT's weapon master, Tommy Dunne, there's one creation in season 8, which is an absolute showstopper and I wonder if it's the weapon Gendry makes for Arya. (4) Arya Stark & Sandor Clegane aka The Hound © HBO Arya and The Hound have had a rather love-hate relationship but by the looks of it, The Hound is glad to see Arya alive and that's what he tells her too- "You're a cold hard bitch, aren't you? Guess, that's why you're still alive". The last time the two were seen together was in season 4, when a duel between The Hound and Brienne of Tarth left the Hound completely wounded. Arya escaped his companionship soon after, leaving him to die. (5) Jon Snow & Samwell Tarly © HBO With great difficulties, after escaping the Citadel, Samwell, Gilly and Little Sam come to Winterfell to fight for Snow. Sam learns about the death of his father and his brother by the hands of the queen and disappointed and dejected, he runs in to Jon, who he last saw at the Night's Watch. Their reunion is the most pivotal part of the show, as Sam reveals Jon's true identity, that he's not Ned Stark's son and neither is he a bastard. He is in fact Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen's legitimate child and the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. This scene surely gave us goosebumps! (6) Sansa Stark & Tyrion Lannister © HBO This is one of the most rewarding reunions in the episode as it was bound to happen and Tyrion had to see how Sansa has actually evolved. And he does notice that and states "I underestimated you". The two were last seen in season 4, at the memorable wedding of Joffrey with Margaery Tyrell, after which Sansa fled with Littelfinger. Their conversation is short-lived in this episode but quite impactful. It tells us Sansa has truly evolved and that she knows Cersei better than anyone else. Even her own brother. That's because while Tyrion is convinced Cersei is on their side and that the Lannister army will march to Winterfell, Sansa is well aware of her schemes and knows for certain Cersei won't do such a thing as she has her own motives and she tells Tyrion the same. (7) Yara Greyjoy & Theon Grejoy © HBO Their reunion wasn't an elaborate deal but it was surely something to look forward to. When Theon arrives to rescue Yara from Euron Greyjoy's clutches, she's relieved to see him alive but also gives him a mighty head-butt (because he abandoned her in the past), before giving him her hand to stand up again. The two flee and head towards the Iron Islands, a definite place where she can stand guard for the folks in the North, as the White-Walkers supposedly can never reach the Iron Islands. She figures Theon wants to go back to Winterfell and assist Snow in the war and she tells him to do just that. (8) Jaime Lannister & Bran Stark © HBO Leaving the best for the last, this one reunion was the most superimposing and anticipated one. The two obviously met in season one, where Bran, a little boy climbed one of the towers of Winterfell to find Jaime & Cersei in a, well, a compromising position. Fear of their relationship being revealed to the rest of the family, Jaime pushed Bran down the tower, making him loose both his legs. I am not sure what the two will even talk about, or if they ever will, but I have a feeling Bran will tell Jaime he isn't that little boy anymore and that he's the Three-Eyed-Raven and that it probably doesn't matter, hopefully forgiving Jaime?! Well, Jaime's character has been the most evolving one out of the lot, so maybe he should be forgiven. So, there you go! 8 most endearing, overwhelming yet strange reunions in the first episode of the final season. We're awaiting some more reunions by the second episode, namely Jon and the Night King. But we're not going to go more in to that. For now, let's just take a week or less to digest this episode first!
  4. The wait has finally ended. Winter came at 6:30 am IST on Hotstar, with the 'Game of Thrones' Season 8 premiere airing after more than 500 days since last season concluded. Almost all living characters got screen time as multiples storylines seem to be coming together for one last time.' Please don't read any further if you haven't watched the episode yet, as this post contains heavy spoilers. As usual, there was death, there was *** and there certainly were dragons. Whitewalkers remained out of sight but did send some strong messages. The internet, no wonder, was abuzz with multiple theories, predictions and memes. But one particular Reddit user called DukeOfTheVines drew parallels between the pilot of the first season and the latest Season 8 instalment. Here it goes: “The opening shot of the King/Queen arriving with the same music” According to the redditor, the same track plays in the background of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen's arrival in Winterfell as to the one at the time of Robert Baratheon's entrance in Season 1 Episode 1. © HBO The tunes do bear resemblance, and why not? The Iranian-German composer Ramin Djawadi, who had composed 'The King's Arrival' in the show's debut season, has returned to lend tunes to the final one as well. “Arya being a kid watching the King coming vs her letting a kid get a good view of the Queen coming” Arya Stark is shown rejoicing at her brother (not by blood anymore) Jon Snow's return. The duo was thick as thieves while growing up and has reunited after their lives have come full circle. In fact the 'girl with no name' still carries the sword (Needle) that Jon gave her as a kid. © HBO “Both episodes ending with Bran and Jamie, except this time Jamie looks scared” This has to be my favourite scene from the season. A cloaked Jamie Lannister arrives on a horse to Winterfell only to find Bran Stark, now the greenseer and also the boy who Jamie pushed out from a tower, waiting for him. You can actually feel the fear in Jamie's eyes at the sight. © HBO “Both episodes have amputated limbs from the white walkers spread out in a gory way to send a message” The heir of Hosue Umber, Ned was found decapitated with limbs all around him in this episode. Remember the first ever GoT episode where the White Walkers make their first "artwork" and create a symbol in the snow using the dismembered body parts of the slaughtered wildlings? “In the pilot, Cersi and Catelyn Stark talk about their kids possibly getting married while looking at them from a distance, while in this episode Varys, Tyrion, and Davos talk about Dany and Jon getting married while looking at them from a distance” While the idea of Jon and Dany's potential romance is exciting (and really not taboo considering the incestuous history of House Lannister), the foreboding metaphor in the episode is 'nothing lasts forever.' Let's see how this one goes, especially after Sam's conversation with Jon (or Aegon?). “The kid from the beginning was climbing on trees to get a good view, similar to Bran climbing the castle to get a good view. He also looked similar to Bran in the Pilot” Will the kid also end up losing limbs? “In the Pilot, all the shots of Winterfell showed the grass but now it's all snow” Winter has come? Other interesting observations made by Redditors: /u/Itsgreenarrow: Also S1E1 Ned's farewell to Jon he says “the next time we see each other, We will talk about your mother. I promise.” Then S8E1 while Jon is staring at Ned's tomb Sam tell him about his parents /u/friggindiggin: First episode Jon is distraught over his identity crisis as a bastard. This episode Jon is distraught over his identity crisis as a king. /u/enfinnity: The brothel scene with Bron is similar to Tyrion's first scene /u/JaqueStrap69: Also Jon asking Sansa "Where's Arya?" When he arrived, just like Ned asking "Where's Arya?" /u/ChavaF1: The current ruler of Winterfell saying “Winterfell is yours” to the arriving monarch /u/sarahj2010: Also loved the line from Robert Baratheon in the pilot to Ned 'I have a son, you have a daughter, we shall join our houses'. It's gotta be Arya and Gendry. /u/SaiyanAintSo: Also Sansa being more than wary of Dany, much like Catelyn was of Cersei. She really seemed like her mother in that meet and greet. © HBO /u/Dualstack: Also Robert asking Ned to be his hand in the crypts kind of similar to Sam telling Jon he is king in the crypts /u/Skeetronic: Don't forget Cersei putting out to someone she's not 'loyal' to But isn't that the norm for Cersei? What were your big observations from the premiere5? Let us know in the comments.
  5. Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan happen to be one of the biggest names in the Bollywood industry and theirs is the kind of bromance that most of us grew up watching. While today the world mostly talks about on-screen chemistry in relation to the lead male and female actors in a film, Akshay and Saif's chemistry, back in the day, evoked similar sizzle on-screen, with its ability to strike a chord with the flamboyant, young male audience. © BCCL From amongst the handful of movies that Akshay and Saif did together, from 'Yeh Dillagi', 'Tu Chor Main Sipahi', to 'Keemat', 'Aarzoo' and even 'Tashan', 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari' remains their greatest entertainer. So. when Akshay recently shared a hilarious anecdote related to the film, during a chat with film critic and entertainment reporter Rajeev Masand, fans couldn't hold back their guffaws. Recalling their chemistry and friendship from the days gone by, Akshay told Rajeev that during the premiere of 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari' in Delhi, he made a funny mess on-stage and that left Saif in splits. © United Seven Creations Talking about the incident, Akshay said, “I also have a very good memory about when we had gone for the premiere... it is very funny what happened that day. Rageshwari, Shilpa, me, Saif... We had gone to Delhi. Now suddenly on stage, this guy comes and says: 'Ab Akshayji, aap ko AIDS ke baare mein kuch kehna hai'. I didn't know the whole premiere was for charity for AIDS. Mr Ratan Jain (the producer of the film) didn't tell us; he forgot. Because I am the senior, they have called me first. Saif is looking at me and he's laughing, he knows I am nervous, he knows I don't know what to say suddenly. And guess what I must have said; I can never forget what I said.” © Yash Raj Films Yes, trust Akshay when he says that what he said that evening is unforgettable, but kudos to his presence of mind which may have ultimately saved the day, because he came up with the most hilarious thing to say. “I had no idea what to say and I just went and I said: 'Doston, anari mat bano, condom istemal karo aur khiladi bano.” Can you beat that? He was unprepared and came up with this, imagine what a more prepared Akshay would have come up with? We bet it couldn't beat this on any given day, because it is so on point.

  8. I'm sure Chadwick Boseman is ecstatic about the success of 'Black Panther', after all the movie crossed billion ******g dollars, but come on man, how many times a guy can do that crossed arm salute? Yes, it's so iconic, because well, Wakanda Forever. Even though he wasn't the first one to do it, it's him who the people associate with and not 'Wonder Woman' that much, sadly. One more reason it's so iconic? Even Ryan Reynolds, oh I'm sorry, Deadpool imitated it in the 'Deadpool 2' trailer. Once upon a time a time, Chadwick always seemed very excited to make his fans happy with the salute but at the 'Avengers: Infinity War' premiere, it looked like he was just so done with it. Or maybe – and it's just a theory – his character has been killed off in this movie and that's why he's sad. (I promise this is not a spoiler or anything, I haven't even watched the movie, please don't kill me) Whatever the case may be, his sad face is now a meme, because it's the internet and 'Infinity War' is the only thing people can and should talk about right now. 9. It has been 10 years since Robert Downey Jr. first donned the Iron Man suit on the big screen and that one movie was just the beginning of the biggest movie franchise in the whole world. Monday night was the premier of 'Avengers: Infinity War' and Marvel has come a long way in these 10 years, to say the least. The fans have been waiting for a really long time and we're not the only ones excited and emotional about this movie. Well, actually it was even more emotional for Robert Downey Jr because he's the man who launched it all with 'Iron Man' in 2008. He got upfront and personal when he took the stage before dozens of his cast mates and told the crowd of thousands, saying, “I gotta few words. Hope you all brought a bag lunch.” Referencing his battle with addiction, he said, “I want to talk about the past, present, and future. The past for me was 30 years of dependency, depravity, and despair… otherwise known as 'An Actor Prepares!” He went on, “The present is this moment of glory for all of us. And the future…? That is always uncertain. But looking at these friends behind me — it seems like things might brighten up after all.” What a great feeling it must have been to be a part of something this huge. He went on with his emotional speech and paid a tribute to the Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, the man behind the 19 interlocking blockbusters so far that have come out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He said, “This is a miracle. And if any one of us took credit it would be heresy. It would be blasphemy.” Then he curtsied. “Screw it … you're welcome!” Talking about the entire MCU, he said that it is an 'isolated incident' in a sense that even with the huge cast, no one was 'in competition with each other', but instead were 'competing for each other — and for you'. Just to jog your memory, here's the entire MCU cast at their Class Photo that they took last year. © Marvel He went on with his speech and said, “If you play a superhero in one of these movies, and it works, you become a big star! And it … is … meaningless. Unless you use that to achieve something higher. You have to take direction from peers, and your family, and occasionally even an actual director.” He even mentioned how “dangerous” it is to direct a Marvel movie, saying, “It's like a crucible. You either come out steel or dust.” He also took this opportunity to talk about the lack of diversity behind the camera, before saying that things have finally started to change. He said, “Now at least half a directing team is female. Making these movies is so taxing that it is clearly a woman's job. It's essentially gestation. But we don't know how to do that.” While talking about diversity, he was sure to praise Black Panther, the movie that made history by introducing us to our first superhero and has so far earned over a billion dollars. “Wakanda rules the day and rightfully so.” He also did the iconic crossed-arm salute to Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, saying, “Wakanda forever!” After praising Jon Favreau and Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo, he explained that he had begun scribbling these thoughts just the night before, coming back from the international tour for the film. “I was up late. I got a tattoo — I don't want to talk about it! It's none of your business! I was up late and wrote this, and …” He had solid finisher for his rollercoaster of a speech, though. “I think this might be the greatest speech ever written! Or maybe I'm just emo and exhausted.” I agree with both the parts, tbh.
  10. Ranbir Kapoor has been in the news for his uncanny resemblance to Sanjay Dutt for his biopic 'Sanju'. His appearance in its premiere, however, should definitely be in the news for how incredibly sharp he looked in a Tom Ford suit. Continuing his recent love affair with blue suits, he chose a dark navy suit that perfectly complemented all the clean shaven, Kapoor clan-esque glow he brought along, while winking away for the paparazzi. (Priya Prakash Varrier who?) © Viral Bhayani The fact that he chose to wear a light powder pink shirt with the navy suit is proof that he clearly knows the pairing game, and well. Plus, there is this thing about a pink-blue combo that brings out your inner glow (I had to punch a wall after typing that out but yes that's true). © Viral Bhayani We are quite surprised by his choice of pocket square. A shaded piece in lilac and white would probably not be your first choice to be worn with this outfit, but it somehow is going flawlessly with it. The deep dark blue background brings out bright shades of the hassle-free accessory, while giving it a fresh, floral appearance. © Viral Bhayani We love the sharp Oxfords in the deep Umber shade. The richness of this super rare shade complements the velvety, dense blue colour of his suit. The fact that he chose a statement watch in gold is another win, as it works in favour of bringing out its rich contrast against the outfit. © Viral Bhayani Let's just say Sanju Baba will be proud, very proud.
  11. Hollywood actor Will Smith, who was in Mumbai recently to promote his upcoming Netflix movie 'Bright', surprised his fans by unleashing his inner 'desi munda' by beatboxing and doing the bhangra like it's nobody's business. Smith needs no introduction. Even today, we can endlessly binge-watch movies like 'Men In Black', 'Hitch', 'Hancock', and 'The Pursuit of Happyness'. © Instagram People broke out in loud cheers the moment Smith started grooving and beatboxing on stage along with his co-stars Joel Edgerton and Noomi Rapace, director David Ayer and the hosts of the premiere Rannvijay Singha and Bani J. Thank You, Mumbai! #bright A post shared by Will Smith (@willsmith) on Dec 18, 2017 at 9:37am PST Smith plays a 'racist' African-American cop in the movie and while talking about his character and the movie 'Bright', he said “To me, this is a film all about Joel's character, who is an Orc. It is a society where Orcs are kind of looked down upon. But he dreams, and so it says that no matter who you are, you should dream. Nobody should tell you who you are nobody should define you.” Director David Ayer thanked Indian fans for this incredible response. #Mumbai @NetflixIndia What an incredible crowd thank you India! @BrightNetflix pic.twitter.com/Vu2VBASv6b — David Ayer (@DavidAyerMovies) December 18, 2017 He further said, “I play an African-America cop, who is a racist against Orcs. So, the film is an interesting exploration about how we treat each other. Noomi plays an Elf, and in the film the elves are at the top in the society, so, they have it all. In our fantasy world, the humans are in the middle. “What we love about science-fiction is that you get to go in this fantasy world but you are dealing with real things. Because it is a fantasy world, you find it easier to digest it all than when we are talking about actual social issues,” he added. Thanks for justifying Will, because halfway through this we were kind of tripping over the plot. Here's the trailer of 'Bright' that will be releasing on December 22. Will Smith and India are like Rajma-Chawal, possibly one of the best combinations ever. While, we loved him flaunt his desi avatar and learning bhangra from Rannvijay and acing it like a pro; his love for India and Indian food is like a long distance relationship that is only growing stronger with time. Aint nothing like watching #WillSmith beatbox live. @netflix pic.twitter.com/rotgLGvlbD — High Street Phoenix (@gophoenixing) December 18, 2017 How can we forget the time, when he partied with Bollywood's 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar and we are sure Will remembers it too as he reminisced about his last visit to India. He reportedly said, “Last year, Akshay had a party and it was the best food that I have ever in my life. It was a little bit of everything. My favorite is chicken tikka masala.” © Twitter In fact, in an interview with Vogue, Smith said, “This is my third time to Mumbai and my fourth time in India. I should just move in with Akshay (Kumar). I was just talking about that. We had dinner at his place last time I was here, and it was literally the best food I've ever had. It just didn't feel right to call him and ask him to send food because I'm not gonna be able to stop by. One thing I love about India is the food at Akshay's, that's the absolute best.” We wonder what Akshay has to say about your plans to move in with him.
  12. Princes William and Harry at the European premiere of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" in London LONDON: Princes William and Harry attended the European premiere of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" on Tuesday, joining the all-star cast in London for the latest instalment of the sci-fi saga. The British royals walked the red carpet dressed in tuxedos for the screening at London´s Royal Albert Hall, where they were greeted by the rolling droid character BB-8 who dutifully bowed to the princes. The two reportedly have cameo roles as stormtroopers in the film, after visiting the set in April 2016 when they were rumoured to have shot the scene. William and Harry -- who recently announced his engagement to US actress Meghan Markle -- also met the cast of "The Last Jedi" and were presented with stormtrooper helmets. Filmed at Pinewood Studios near London and on the west coast of Ireland, "The Last Jedi" is the eighth film in the space series and runs to a lengthy 153 minutes. Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the films, said the longevity of "Star Wars" had seen his character make way for new stars. "It´s like a bunch of kids rifling through my old toy box, playing with my toys... I love it!" he told AFP at the premiere. Despite 40 years passing since the intergalactic saga first hit cinemas, the cast members of Rian Johnson´s "Last Jedi" are convinced it still has contemporary relevance. "I think it really deals with issues the world is facing at the moment, about politics which splits people apart and the spark of hope which is going to bring people back together again," Andy Serkis, who stars as Supreme Leader Snoke, told AFP. Lupita Nyong´o, who plays the motion-captured character Maz Kanata, said the film was also important as a form of escapism. "I think the importance of fantasy is that it allows us to first of all, escape from the world we´re in for a second and it brings us all together and unifies us in a way, on a subject, in a way that other things don´t," she said. "And for a moment we get to forget our own worries and worry about the galaxy far, far away."
  13. In the wee hours of Monday morning, a light shone brightly ? on Twitter. Actor Chris Evans made a sweet gesture against those who are bullied when he tweeted a response to the video of a bullied young boy, urging him to ?stay strong? and not to ?let them make you turn cold?. The clip depicts Keaton Jones ? a boy probably in his teens, hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee ? very hurt and sobbing uncontrollably after going through harrowing experiences of bullying. ?People are different. They don?t need to be bullied about it,? he says, questioning why bullying exists when every person is unique. Evans then went on to offer Jones and his mom a trip to Los Angeles to attend the premiere of the upcoming Avengers movie next year. ?While those punks at your school are deciding what kind of people they want to be in this world, how would you and your mom like to come to the Avengers premiere in LA next year?? Avengers: Infinity War ? which premieres April 25, 2018 ? is the film Evans referred to. Lakyn ? Keaton?s elder sister ? responded to the Captain?s tweet, saying that her brother ?would absolutely love that?. ?I?m on it,? the Avenger responded, adding a thumbs-up emoji. Many others joined the conversation with their own experiences and traumas. Mark Ruffalo ? a fellow Avenger who plays Bruce Banner/Hulk ? also retweeted the video, noting that he "was bullied when I was a kid" and calling Jones his "own personal super hero". "This is what bullying does to kids," Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch said, adding that "#itgetsbetter, we promise". Millie Bobby Brown ? the Stranger Things actress ? said, "Tell him to stay strong! Truly a great person... to all the bully's: take note from Keaton." "Your video will help other kids who are being bullied," Irish musician Brian McFadden added. ?I cried when I watched this. I've been there. That was me in middle school. Kids were relentless and I didn't understand why?, said 30-year-old Raven. ?I was bullied in school too. The pain is real, and I don't want to relive it by watching the video?, added Simone Cromer. ?I was in tears. I was shocked at the trigger it was for me. Bullying shaped me on a way that was irreparable. Instead I bury it?, John Rangers, 51, added. ?That?s why I?m Team Cap?, claimed Sam James Peck. A GoFundMe campaign "to help with this childs future" had completed more than 150 percent of its stated goal of $20,000, as of 5:30 AM PST, Evans first starred as Steve Rogers (aka Captain America) in Captain America: The First Avenger and has reprised his role in all Avengers movies since.
  14. LOS ANGELES: The trailers have dropped, the frantic media tours have concluded and the phoney war is over: "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" finally begins the real battle Saturday at its glittering world premiere. Hotter than one of Yoda's root leaf curries, the movie is expected to cash in on 12 months of relentless hype with one of the biggest domestic opening weekends ever. A galaxy of stars and lucky fans from near and far, far away will descend on downtown Los Angeles -- the first moviegoers in the world outside of the production to see the eighth instalment of the blockbuster space saga. All eyes will be on the initial flood of social media reaction, encouraged by Lucasfilm, although the studio has embargoed detailed reviews until 9:00 am Los Angeles time (1700 GMT) on Tuesday. Fans will have to be patient before heading to Twitter for the inevitable rhapsody of excited buzz, as "The Last Jedi" is the longest "Star Wars" movie ever, clocking in at 153 minutes. That is about 10 minutes longer than "Attack of the Clones" (2002), although critics will be hoping the new movie doesn´t overstay its welcome, like that unloved second episode. The premiere comes six days before the movie's general release in US theatres, kicking off a run widely expected to be the most successful worldwide since 2015's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Good versus evil Experts are predicting an opening weekend domestic box office of around $220 million, which would push it beyond "Jurassic World" (2015) into second place behind "Awakens" ($248 million). The cast came together in LA with director Rian Johnson on Sunday to build buzz for "The Last Jedi," which sees the return of the characters introduced in J.J. Abrams´s first entry in the rebooted trilogy. Gwendoline Christie, who plays stormtrooper commander Captain Phasma, put the continued relevance of "Star Wars" down to its foundational mythology of good versus evil. "I think it´s because the world we live in is a changing and evolving place that it retains the simplicity of those elements," she said. "But it really resonates with what it is to follow your own human, dark, narcissistic tendencies, where that will take you." Christie was joined at the event by returning stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domnhall Gleeson and Luke Skywalker himself -- Mark Hamill. There were new faces too: Kelly Marie Tran as Resistance maintenance worker Rose Tico and Laura Dern, who plays Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo. "The Last Jedi" -- filmed on the west coast of Ireland and at Pinewood Studios near London -- marks the last appearance of Carrie Fisher, who died last December, having already wrapped her scenes. 'Dire situation' One of Lucasfilm's trailers hinted darkly at a possible untimely demise for Fisher´s iconic General Leia Organa at the hands of her son Kylo Ren. Written by Johnson, "The Last Jedi" picks up directly where "The Force Awakens" left off, with Rey (Ridley) looking to Luke to teach her about The Force. It is expected to presage adverse times for the Resistance -- prompting comparisons with the middle chapter of the original trilogy, "The Empire Strikes Back." Like Fisher and Hamill, Harrison Ford was a "Star Wars" mainstay as loveable rogue Han Solo -- but the character is missing from the latest chapter, having been killed off. "There hasn't been a 'Star Wars' movie yet that has explored war the way ´The Last Jedi´ has," said Boyega. "It's very messy. The categorizing of good and evil is all mixed together." "It's a dire situation, it's critical. The Resistance is on its last legs," added Isaac. "When you're trying to survive, the First Order's right on top of us, it is like war, where you´ve got to keep moving to try to survive. You feel the momentum of everything that happened in ´The Force Awakens´ just pushing to a critical mass."
  15. Seven people were arrested Tuesday at a protest at the Moscow premiere of "Matilda", a controversial biopic of the last tsar that has drawn threats from religious extremists, police said. Alexei Uchitel's film has outraged hardline Orthodox believers, who view tsar Nicholas II as a saint and object to the depiction of his affair with a ballerina. The film's trailer triggered a wave of attacks in the country, including Molotov cocktails thrown at the filmmakers' offices in Saint Petersburg. In Moscow, two cars were set alight outside the offices of Uchitel's lawyer last month. Police said the arrests at the premiere were for disturbing public order. All of those held were Orthodox activists, some singing religious songs and one holding a banner describing the film as "slander", TASS news agency reported. Around a dozen other demonstrators, some holding pictures of the tsar, were not arrested. "I am praying to God instead of insulting him. This film insults a holy family," one told AFP. Earlier in the day Alexei Ryazantsev of the Karo Premiere distribution company said at screenings there would be "increased security measures, but so far just for the first weekend of release". Distributors were still receiving messages about possible disruptions at screenings but they were being handled by police, he told reporters. Uchitel said he had not expected such controversy and would not wish it on anyone. "It's been very hard psychologically," he said. "As you know there have been threats... but the authorities have reacted and these people have been arrested". In the Urals city of Yekaterinburg -- where the royal family was killed by firing squad -- a man drove a van filled with gas canisters into a movie theatre and set it on fire in apparent protest against the historical drama. Last month, Russia's two biggest cinema chains Cinema Park and Formula Kino said they would drop the film from their lineup after threats, but later reversed their decision. The attacks on the period drama have shaken Russia's liberal artistic community, which has long felt itself under pressure during President Vladimir Putin's conservative rule. Putin has in recent years played up traditional values in a bid to win backing from everyday Russians and the powerful Orthodox Church. But critics say the Kremlin's focus on Christian values has empowered religious hardliners and that they may not be able to control the outcome. Mixed response Nicholas II and his family were denounced in the Soviet period but are now viewed as holy martyrs by the Russian Orthodox Church. The visually luscious, erotically charged "Matilda" focuses on the emperor's relationship with ballerina Mathilde Kschessinska before his marriage and ascent to the throne. German actor Lars Eidinger -- who is known for playing in steamy art house films -- stars as the last tsar. Eidinger declined to travel to Russia for the film's premieres, citing security concerns. Moscow ads describe "Matilda" as "the most anticipated film of the year" but the movie has received a mixed response, with journalist Marina Akhmedova writing: "Watching the fuss around the film has been much more interesting than watching the film itself".
  16. The seventh season of the much-awaited and fought-after (you aren't a true fan if you didn't fight over the characters and story plot) series, 'Game of Thrones', premiered recently and since then people have officially lost their chill. The first episode has already been viewed millions of times and has divided the world into two parts – first who watched it before everyone and spoil the episode for others and second who beat the sh*t out of those who give away spoilers. © HBO Within a few days of its release, this season has already done much more than just fuel suspense around the characters. It gave people a room to troll Ed Sheeran for his cameo, gave the fan theorists fodder for their next groundbreaking discovery and most importantly, it has given some smartasses on the internet to go ahead and do what they are best at – pirating it. Thanks to the advent of internet, nothing seems like too big a deal these days and we guess these folks abide by this, so they went ahead and pirated the premiere episode 90 f**king million times. © HBO According to a report published in Torrent Freak, the piracy monitoring firm MUSO has suggested that the season premiere has been pirated 90 million times in just three days and the sources were majorly the unauthorized streaming services with torrent contributing a little bit to it. It's not like this show or any other show's piracy numbers have not touched millions earlier, but this number and that too within a few days is huge. We won't be surprised if Hollywood goes into a state of shock after reading the numbers. © HBO MUSO even notes that most pirated traffic comes from the United States (15 million approx), while countries like United Kingdom (6.2 million approx), Germany (4.8 million approx) and India (4.3 million approx) filled up the second, third and fourth spots in the list of piracy. We hope any college professor isn't reading this, else they'll know how the students are putting the hostel and college WiFi to good use.
  17. You've seen them killing your favourite characters and even dodging the ugly-ass white walkers. But winter's (almost) here and they're back it again, doing what they do best. Game of Throne's season 7 premiere just dropped in Hollywood, featuring a round of outfits with a volley of sartorial tricks and tips. There were un-welcomed colours, out-of-the-blue kilts and looks straight off OCD heaven. Here, the usual best-dressed. 1. Alfie Allen in a brighter version of a cardboard-hued suit, with a patterned necktie that's dramatic enough. Including a crotch-held pose, low-key signifying his intimate moments with Theon Greyjoy. ©Telegraph UK 2. Ian Glen going all Scottish with literally everything right. At least he could get his hands on some kick-ass fashion, if not Daenerys Targaryen. ©Telegraph UK 3. John Bradley in a classic navy suit, perfectly fitted on top. If not at the bottom. ©Telegraph UK 4. Liam Cunningham in a suit that's almost like a slab of the colour. Which is great, but could have gotten better. ©Telegraph UK 5. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau that represents his character in the TV series—always safe, but not with restraint. And the pulled-back mane representing why Cersei Lannister digs the man. ©Telegraph UK 6. 18. If you made plans to watch Pakistan?s first ever superhero film, Project Ghazi, over the weekend then we have some bad news for you. The film, which was scheduled to release across cinemas on July 14, has pushed forward its release to an unannounced date. Following its premiere at Nueplex Cinema, Karachi on Thursday night, Project Ghazi team updated their Facebook page and informed their fans of the delay. The post read, ?It is with a heavy heart that we are making the announcement that Project Ghazi's release date has been postponed. We understand that this was a highly anticipated movie, but films of this magnitude require extensive technical work and hence to do justice to this film genre, we have decided to delay the release from July 14, 2017. The new release date will be announced soon.? Reports suggest that the decision to postpone movie?s release was taken after the movie received a negative response on its premiere. The movie screening suffered from technical, sound and dubbing issues along with mismanagement. It was even mentioned that audiences and movie stars left the cinema after forty minutes into the film. The producers hope to re-edit the movie and then release it officially. The movie, which stars Sheheryar Munawar, Syra Shahroz and Humayun Saeed, had created a buzz being a first of its kind movie in Pakistan. Shahroz plays the role of scientist in the movie, while Saeed and Munawar both play super soldiers. The makers of the film stated that the science fiction movie highlights the intolerance prevalent in the society which is eventually dealt with by highly skilled soldiers as a result of their bravery and the spirit of nationalism.

He is the best boyfriend in the world (he knows it and says it too!) and that has been sealed with time. It shows in the way he looks at her. Or the way he tries to woo her, every chance he gets. © Twitter In fact, their crackling chemistry set the cash registers ringing and broke our screen when they swooned us in ‘Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’. So when rumours started floating around that they have probably broken up, the sky fell down for every fan that was rooting for the #DeepVeer story to see the morning sun. 22. The whole world is talking about Donald Trump’s victory, oh wait, he is President Trump now, and how his tenure could bring drastic changes in global relations, especially immigration services. Well, it seems the change has already started! An eight-year-old Indian child actor was reportedly denied a US visa to attend his film’s premiere in New York, owing to immigration concerns. His name is Sunny Pawar and he stars in the Australian movie ‘Lion’ which also features Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel. © The Weinstein Company ‘Lion’ is based on the true story of Saroo Brierley, an Indian-born Australian man who sets out to find his birth family, whom he got separated from as a kid, before ending up in an orphanage and later being adopted by an Australian couple. He used Google Earth to trace back his family in India. The distributor of this movie, The Weinstein Company, stated that Sunny who plays young Saroo was expected to fly with his father to Los Angeles and New York for the film’s screening, but was denied a visa, hinting that it can be an effect of ‘immigration paranoia’. © The Weinstein Company The company’s President David Glasser said, “We believe it must be the effect of immigration paranoia. He, of course, poses absolutely no threat to anyone and we want him to be a part of the celebration of this film and his performance.” “We fully intend to go through the proper resources and appeal with the state department for assistance,” he further added, stating that they are doing everything they can to fight this. However, we don’t know when they applied for Sunny’s visa. The movie ‘Lion’ is scheduled to be released on November 25, 2016. We are not trying to randomly connect dots here, but is it really a coincidence that all this happens right after Trump becomes the 45th President of The United States of America? Are there more surprises coming our way? Source: The Guardian
