Varun Dhawan sticks to a specific genre of super entertaining films, despite being capable of super intense roles (remember October?). Clearly, the man is all about happiness and fun, something we all could use of late. What is interesting is, his sartorial shenanigans are also based on that, and we're all for it! View this post on InstagramVarun just stepped out in an uber cool outfit that reminded us of that. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani He paired a baby pink T-shirt with slightly distressed jeans, and topped it up with a statement shiny purple wind jacket. However, what we couldn't help but single out from the entire ensemble was his choice of shoes. © Viral Bhayani Varun wore a pair of shoes that can easily qualify as one of the most colourful pairs we have seen of late. It's almost like a colour-bomb. Take a closer look here. © Viral Bhayani Varun is wearing the Club C 85 'Pride' sneakers from Reebok, a definite collectible with a message of inclusivity. The Aryan Khan drug controversy has taken the front seat in the radius of national news and looks like the entire country is hooked to police officials unhinging the drug nexus. At the heart of this drug busting team is NCB’s Zonal Director, also known as the real-life Singham, Mr Sameer Wankhede. The man is known to have rocked Bollywood with his interrogation skills and many celebrities have, in the past, ended up under his radar. Wankhede has a bigger Bollywood connection than just carrying out raids and ensuring celebs don’t get star treatment in the eyes of the law. He is married to a very successful Marathi actress named Kranti Redkar, who was also seen in Gangajal opposite Ajay Devgn. View this post on Instagram Kranti made her debut with Soon Asavi Ashi in 2001 and is also known for being a fantastic dancer. One of the most famous songs is Kombdi Palali which was later dubbed Chikni Chameli. She then went on to become a social media influencer and also donned the filmmaker hat with her directorial debut in 2015 and she married Sameer Wankhede in 2017. They are parents to a set of twins. View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram Recently, in an interview with Etimes, Kranti opened up about her husband being in the limelight for all the tough work he carries out. “Sameer has always been a hard worker. His operations and cases were there even before too. Today, he is dealing with Bollywood-related drug probe cases, which is why it is getting highlighted. I give him his space when he is investigating or working on operations. I never ask him what happened, how it happened because I respect the secrecy of his job. I take care of everything at home, which is why he can concentrate on his cases more." In case you’re wondering that if being his wife gets her access to information associated with national security and secret missions, then you’re mistaken. “He sometimes gets so busy that he can't even sleep. He works 24/7. He barely sleeps for 2 hours. I never interfere or get involved when he is talking over the phone about a certain case. He does secret operations on an everyday basis, and he is not even allowed to reveal anything related to that with his family. I give him his space and never complain about anything. Sameer is in such a field where he can not sit idle for a minute. Even after coming home, he discusses the operations with his team over the phone. I never ask him, 'Kya hua batana..Kaise hua..kya kiya'. I maintain the secrecy of his job and respect the profession”, she revealed. View this post on Instagram On her husband finally opening up to giving media interviews, Kranti is proud and happy. “I am so happy that finally, he has started giving interviews to the media. He never opens up about anything to anyone. He is an introvert and very reserved. He never smiles. I have asked him to smile while giving interviews but he smirks. But yes, he is NCB officer Sameer Wankhede, and I respect and love the way he is. I am so proud of him." View the full article

Carrie Underwood gushes over her son Isaiah?s baseball debut in a candid post -
When makers of Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride of India released the film’s trailer, we had already lost our hopes and kept our expectations low. At times, it so happens that trailers are not greatly executed but the movies turn to be better than what was shown to the viewers. Well, this is clearly not the case with Ajay’s recent release. The film is based on the Indo-Pak War of 1971 and Ajay Devgn plays IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of the Bhuj airport at the time of the war. In the film, you will see how the officer saved the border area in Gujarat from the Pakistani Army by re-constructing an entire IAF airbase with the help of 300 women from a local village in Madhapar. We woke to bad reviews by the critics and were waiting for the audience to give the final verdict. Before we jump to what the audience felt, here’s what the film critics had to say: Hindustan Times wrote, “The silver lining is too thin to ignore the dark, dark cloud that is Bhuj. It looms large and sinister over the future of war films in India. If this is how gutsy we're already getting with hate, I wonder what to expect next.” © NDTV Well, people are also echoing similar emotions, and here are the five reasons that they didn’t approve of the movie: 1. Poor VFX People seemed pissed in this regard as they felt Ajay Devgn’s movie has taken Bollywood's VFX game way back and felt that they were looking at a 'video game'. © Twitter 3. Cinematography Is Plain B*llShitA lot of Twitter users went to say that scenes looked unrealistic and didn’t add much value to the film’s story. © Twitter 5. Not A Perfect TributeWith bad dialogues and even worse acting, people said this is not how a movie should celebrate Indian soldiers and their pride. View the full article

As modern-day Indian cricket fans become more and more familiar with the concept of social media and expressing themselves online, having an opinion (mostly critical) on anything and everything is quickly becoming a norm. So when one of the best players of the Men in Blue, Ravindra Jadeja shared a tweet owning up to his Rajput identity, it was time for him to be put under the scanner and get called out for doing so in front of millions of his fans and followers and that’s exactly what happened on the micro-blogging site on Thursday. #RAJPUTBOY FOREVER. Jai hind🇮🇳 — Ravindrasinh jadeja (@imjadeja) July 22, 2021 “#RAJPUTBOY FOREVER. Jai hind,” Jadeja wrote from his official Twitter handle as his critics flocked together to condemn him for being proud of his identity. He is a Proud Rajput for sure. In an interview a journalist asked a question to MS Dhoni Which part of India do your ancestors hail from? The popular belief is that you are a Jat. He replied, My parents are from Uttaranchal. That's their honour. That's their pride. The least we can do is, we can respect that sentiment of every proud Rajput. — Kaustuv Dwivedi 🇮🇳 (@dwivedikaustuv) July 22, 2021 A lot of things that Jadeja does on the field has to do with him paying tribute towards his community, especially the iconic sword-swinging with the bat after hitting a half-century or a ton. In 2020, Jadeja’s Indian Premier League franchise, Chennai Super Kings had also arranged for a peculiar ‘Rajput Award’ for the cricketer, as a ‘thank you’ for everything that he’d done for the team over the years. Thank you to the @chennaiipl team for bestowing me with this award. Playing for this amazing franchise is an honor and an opportunity I cherish. Looking forward to the season. pic.twitter.com/qE5T36eE48 — Ravindrasinh jadeja (@imjadeja) September 17, 2020 “Thank you to the @chennaiipl team for bestowing me with this award. Playing for this amazing franchise is an honor and an opportunity I cherish. Looking forward to the season,” he wrote while accepting the award. As expected, the fans were divided in two sections back then as well. Suresh Raina’s ‘Brahmin’ Incident “I think, I am also a Brahmin. I have been playing in Chennai since 2004. I love the culture here. I love my comrades. I have played with Anirudh Srikkanth. Subramaniam Badrinath and L Balaji are also there. I like the culture of Chennai. I am lucky to be a part of CSK,” Raina had spoken about his identity while being on-air during the opening match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). As soon as these words came out of Raina’s mouth, the kind of online backlash he began to face was enormous with people labeling him a discriminator and being asked to feel ashamed of himself. @ImRaina you should be ashamed yourself. It seems that you have never experienced real Chennai culture though you have been playing many years for Chennai team. https://t.co/ZICLRr0ZLh — Suresh (@suresh010690) July 19, 2021Be ashamed to what you say for..... pic.twitter.com/P1FcTSk0XT — Bruh (@Bruh68792988) July 20, 2021So watched the video, I once liked Raina very much and now im sad how ignorant or he has been hiding all these days. 8 Mind-Blowing LGBTQ+ Shows That Are A Must-Watch During Pride Month 2021
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
Back in time, we mostly saw LGBTQ+ characters come on in an irregular manner on shows or movies, mostly to add to the comedic or dramatic effect. This stereotypical route changed in recent years. Many shows paved the path for queer representation, and honestly, it has never been better. © iStock As we celebrate pride month and the LGBTQ+ community, we have summed eight shows to stream on Netflix right now: 1. Brooklyn Nine-Nine © Netflix One of the top-rated shows on IMDb, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, is a series that revolves around Jake Peralta, a part of the New York City Police Department. He often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, Captain Raymond Holt. While it might sound like any other detective shows, it puts light on the portrayal of LGBTQ+ characters. The show has received positive reviews throughout its time and is a must-watch. 2. Schitt's Creek © Netflix We have often heard people rave about Schitt's Creek. As someone who recently binge-watched this show, Schitt's Creek has a brilliant storyline. The story talks about the Rose family, who lose their fortune after the business manager defrauds them. The family then settles in a motel but works hard to earn back their life. David Rose, essayed by Daniel Levy is a pansexual character, who falls for a man later. His relationship receives complete acceptance and no raised eyebrows from the people of the town. 3. Atypical © Netflix Atypical released on Netflix in 2017, and the show takes you through an emotional ride. It's based on the life of an 18-year-old, Sam, who is suffering from spectrum disorder. The lead is in a quest to find himself. His younger sister plays the role of Casey, who holds her family together and keeps her sexuality a secret. The story unfolds more into love, independence and the topic of sexuality. 4. *** Education © Netflix If you haven't watched it already, add this to your list right away. *** Education is a Netflix original series, a coming-of-age dramedy. The show received praises for its representation of sensitive subjects and has a diverse take on the LGBTQ+ community. The story is about a teenager who lives with his *** therapist mother and it talks about his friendship with gay character Eric. The series earned more than 40 million streams at the time of its release and became a successful show. 5. Sense8 © Netflix Another high rated, queer-friendly show is Sense8. It's a story about eight individuals who embark on their journey and discover that they are 'sensates' connected emotionally and mentally. The show gets intense with each season and is quite famous for its no-holds-barred concept. The show ran for two seasons, after several controversies. 6. The Half Of It © Netflix The Half Of it focuses on a lesbian love story. The American comedy-drama is about three characters in their teens. Paul is attracted to Aster and hires Ellie to write her letters and text messages. Soon Ellie starts developing feelings for Aster. The show unravels drama and romance and is the best modern-day queer series to watch. 7. Star Trek: Discovery © Netflix For the first time, the franchise made headlines for its queer drama. The show boldly presents the life of a gay couple, Lt. Paul Stamets and Dr Hugh Culber. The duo also locked lips during the show's mid-season finale, which also made it the first gay kiss ever in the Star Trek Franchise. 8. Someone Has to DieReleased in 2020, Someone Has to Die is set in the 1950s. The show talks about the alleged relationship between Gabino, who arrives home to his traditional Falcón family, with a male ballet dancer. The Spanish thriller was lauded for its script on homophobia amid the Franco regime. View the full article -
9 Reasons Why The Pride Month Is Important For Everyone
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
The history of Pride has been forged in the trials and tribulations faced by the LGBTQIA+ community as well as the resilience displayed by pathbreaking individuals from the community, bravely fighting for equality to this day. Pride is a celebration of self worth and dignity as well as a jubilant proclamation of one's identity. 1. Remembering The Stonewall RiotsThe Stonewall riots refer to the uprising that took place at Stonewall Inn in June 1969. This uprising was a watershed moment in LGBTQIA+ History. This incident catalysed the socio-political narrative around the community from one of disenfranchisement to that of empowerment. Since the first time these celebrations occurred in 1970 to the 52nd time in 2021, the Pride Month forever honours the struggles and resistance showcased by members of the LGBTQIA+ community on that fateful day at Stonewall Inn. View this post on Instagram 2. Expressing Allyship To LGBTQIA+ CommunitiesAllyship shouldn’t be superficial and restricted exclusively to the month of Pride. For as long as contemporary history is to be remembered, the LGBTQIA+ community have been victims of pain and suffering at the hands of cis-het society at large. By creating safe spaces, raising awareness and educating ourselves on the plight of the community, allies can play a crucial role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for the LGBTQIA+. © Siddharth Bali 3. Loving Others And Yourself AuthenticallyThe Pride Month banishes shame, secrecy and other boundaries enforced upon the LGBTQIA+ community by cis-het society at large. It propagates change, hope and pride in one’s identity. It inspires people to love others and themselves, proudly and passionately. © Dhruv Kapur 4. Believing In The Power Of DiversityThe LGBTQIA+ community is a constantly evolving space, where diversity is not just accepted but empowered. Whether you’re Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Gay, Transgender, Intersex, Asexual, Non-Binary, Gender non-conforming, or even an ally, the Pride Month welcomes you all with open arms and abundant love. © Saim 5. Self-AcceptanceNot everyone’s journey towards self-acceptance looks identical; it’s a spectrum where some people are out and proud of their identities, while others still struggle with theirs. Accepting and loving one’s identity regardless of where they are on their personal journey is one of the most important messages of Pride. It’s an essential and positive stance against discrimination towards the LGBTQIA+ community. View this post on Instagram 6. Honouring LGBTQIA+ Activists’ Fight For EqualityAmerican gay liberation activist and self-identified drag queen, Marsha P. Johnson is fondly remembered as having birthed Pride at Stonewall with her resistance along with other prominent activists. Harvey Milk, Alice Nkom, Arsham Parsi and Ashish Row Kavi are some other inspirational activists from the LGBTQIA+ community who braved rebuke, oppression and often death in their fight for equality. Empowered by the spirit of resistance since its inception, the Pride Month has proudly amplified and honoured the works of LGBTQIA+ activists past and present. View this post on Instagram 7. Different, And HumanTraditionally cis-het society has looked at differences as an innate flaw in human nature. It does so in order to avoid any symptom of diversity. However, the Pride month believes in embracing these differences to be truly human. As a proponent of intersectionality it encourages individuals to find strength in their differences, transforming into a collective for the good of all, not islands of disconnect. View this post on Instagram 8. Raising Awareness And Education About LGBTQIA+ TopicsThe issues that concern the LGBTQIA+ community can range from LGBTQIA+ representation and equality, Access to affordable and quality health care, employment and housing discrimination among several others. The Pride Month passionately raises awareness and education around these topics, ensuring the community’s problems don’t go unheard by society at large. View this post on Instagram 9. A Celebration Of Love And IndividualityAn individual’s identity is undoubtedly unique due to the varying experiences associated with our nature and nurture. No two individuals go through life in identical fashion. However, cis-het culture insists on dissecting different parts of our identity to fit the archaic mould it deems best. The Pride Month aims at shattering such out-dated ideals, celebrating love as well as the individuality of our identities. It’s well established that gender is a spectrum. People should be free to identify as who they feel at different points on this spectrum. Come as you are, for pride welcomes you with open arms. © Tejeshwar Sandhoo View the full article -

India and Pakistan are divided by things like cricket and land disputes but there are some things that know no bounds or boundaries. Cinema and music are some things that both nations share the love for equally and come together to celebrate these keeping the hatred and rivalry aside. © iStock This may not happen a lot of times but it’s wholesome when it does. JoJo Siwa's pride party takes wrong turn after guest overdoses

Police and paramedics were called to JoJo Siwa's address after a guest had apparently overdosed -
In almost all parts of the world, the month of June is celebrated as International Pride month as an ode to the LGBTQIA community and everything that it stands for. As we get ready to fly that rainbow pride flag and join virtual pride parades, we need to remember that those who identify as LGBTQIA don't have it easy, as they often face discrimination and disparities in different walks of life. In a largely heteronormative world, trying to live a "normal" life can often too stressful and mentally exhausting for them, as society does not make it easy for them with their pre-set stereotypes and misconceptions. Unfortunately, the LGBTQIA community often finds it difficult to seek out mental health professionals or look for the treatment they need. Keeping this in mind, MensXP Experience is celebrating International Pride Month by hosting a series of webinars that focus on mental health and LGBTQIA allyship. These webinars are open to all and will be absolutely free of cost. MensXP Experiences has partnered with Karma Care, a multidisciplinary, holistic & well-being focussed mental health organization that works for the well-being of people. It also offers counselling, psychotherapy, psychological assessments, internships, and other clinically effective facilities that are tailor-made to suit each individual. They have brought on board several mental health care experts to shed light on these sensitive issues in a safe space. The two webinars that will be conducted this week are as follows. The ABC Of LGBTQIA This session is hosted by Manveen Kaur, an organizational and counselling psychologist working for Karma Care. MensXP Experience This session is going to be about the basics difference between *** and gender. Ever wondered how these two terms are so different? This session will explain this to you. It will also include the ABC of LGBTQIA so that you can understand their lives a tad better. This session will also bust a few myths around the lived realities of the queer population along with a few activities so that you can step into their lives and understand the world through their perspective as well. Join this session on the 5th of June from 5 pm to 6 pm. Register for free here. Inclusive Models of *** & Sexuality This session is conducted by Prabhjyot Kaur, a senior queer affirmative counselling psychologist with Karma Care. MensXP Experience Have you ever wondered what life will be for them? Well, this session will help you understand it better. It will also be looking at developmental and evolutionary theories of sexuality throughout the years. How has sexuality evolved? Was it always this vast? What kinds of sexual orientations exist apart from the ones we hear regularly? Find all your answers in this session conducted on the 13th of June from 5 pm to 6 pm. Sign up here. So, whether you are a part of the community or not, we believe that it is important for everyone to be aware of the mental and social stigmas associated with this community. Head to MensXP Experiences and be a part of these inclusive and informative sessions now. Happy Pride month! View the full article

Virat Kohlihas been around for a really long time as ‘The Man’ for the Indian cricket team and made a special place for himself among the most well-respected captains the Men in Blue have played under. But when it came to Rishabh Pant and him being given the responsibility to lead the Delhi Capitals franchise after Shreyas Iyer was ruled out for the season with a shoulder injury, not many were in its favour. ANNOUNCEMENT Rishabh Pant will be our Captain for #IPL2021 @ShreyasIyer15 has been ruled out of the upcoming season following his injury in the #INDvENG series and @RishabhPant17 will lead the team in his absence 🧢#YehHaiNayiDilli — Delhi Capitals (Stay Home. Wear Double Masks) (@DelhiCapitals) March 30, 2021 As the Indian Premier League 2021 moved on to its second leg in Ahmedabad, the notions around Pant’s captaincy has changed drastically. Fans have started to support him and the kind of respect senior members of the community have for him now is evident in their eyes. The final few overs at the end of the clash between Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore and Pant’s Delhi Capitals had some of the best cricket we have seen this season so far. What. A. Match!@RCBTweets prevail by 1 run. With 6 needed off the final ball, Pant hits a boundary but @DelhiCapitals fall short by a whisker. Siraj does well under pressure. Hetmyer and Pant are distraught. https://t.co/NQ9SSSBbVT #DCvRCB #VIVOIPL pic.twitter.com/ju87soRG6B — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) April 27, 2021 Shemron Hetmyer punished Kyle Jamieson with three sixes in an over, while Pant, despite having a wondrous start to the innings, began to play second-fiddle. Although both batsmen were able to score half-centuries, the final six deliveries bowled by Mohammed Siraj became the talk of the town. Kohli had walked up to Siraj, gave him the ball and showed his trust in him when DC needed just 14 runs off 6 deliveries to grab the win. And the pacer did not disappoint. One after the other, Siraj would continue to aim for the block hole, making it practically impossible for Pant to swing for the boundaries. View this post on Instagram His bowling was so efficient that Pant was visibly frustrated and infuriated with himself when he was not able to hit the final six on the last ball and DC ended up losing the match. The competition was over. This is where things get even better. Instead of celebrating with his team, Kohli could be seen rushing towards Pant and Hetmyer to console them and tell them that they did great to bring the match to such an exciting finish, especially when they looked nowhere close to reaching the target just a couple of overs ago.
