  1. For a doctor, taking rounds in the hospital and checking in on patients and operating on them, is nothing unusual. But, can you imagine the Prime Minister of a country operating on patients in his free time? If the country in question is Bhutan, then this is just another Saturday in the life of Dr Lotay Tshering, who also happens to be the Prime Minister of the country. Before you guys jump to any conclusions about how the PM of a country is even allowed to treat patients? Dr Tshering was one of the most reputed and best doctors in Bhutan, before he entered politics. © Twitter While Dr Tshering, who turned 50 today, carries the entire nation's responsibilities on his shoulders throughout the week, he prefers spending his weekends as a doctor. While tending to patients at Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital, he told AFP that his medical work was a "de-stresser". He further said, "Some people play golf, some do archery, and I like to operate. I am just spending my weekends here." On Thursdays, he spends his mornings giving medical advice to trainee doctors. Our Honourable Prime Minister turns 50 today. We wish you another fifty and more, filled with fulfillment, fitness and fun. Tashi Delek la. (Pictures from a modest surprise party where all the colleagues, led by Cabinet Secretary, came together to wish Honourable Lyonchhen) pic.twitter.com/oUQsOGubJF — PM Bhutan (@PMBhutan) May 10, 2019 While we might think of it as something surprising and unusual, no one in Bhutan feels that way. In fact, people in the hospital, where the PM works on weekends, don't even bat an eyelid when he walks through the hospital corridors wearing a lab coat and crocs. In fact, Bumthap, a patient who underwent a five-hour bladder repair surgery at the hands of the PM said, "Now that I have been operated on by the prime minister, who is considered one of the best doctors in the country, I feel more relieved." © Twitter Being a doctor himself, looks like PM Tshering has always put the health of citizens before everything else and that's probably why he also made healthcare a part of his political agenda. If there is a bigger crossover than 'Avengers: Infinity War', it is the crossover between a Prime Minister and a Doctor and Tshering. "At the hospital, I scan and treat patients. In the government, I scan the health of policies and try to make them better," he said. © Twitter He further said, "I will continue doing this until I die and I miss not being able to be here every day. Whenever I drive to work on weekdays, I wish I could turn left towards the hospital." Source: NDTV
  2. There is something to be said about the overwhelming feelings of solidarity that pervade the moments celebrating the pioneers of change and innovation. Regardless of their area of domination, recognition and admiration come aplenty to those who not only believe in taking the plunge, but also believe in rewriting the rules of the game. Last evening saw the coming together of important men and women, who have upped the game within their respective fields, and set amazing examples for others to follow at the one-of-a kind event called Times Prime presents MensXP 'Icons of Newhood', which aimed to recognise, celebrate and award inspiring entrepreneur superheroes for their visionary achievements. A post shared by MENSXP (@mensxpofficial) on May 4, 2019 at 12:29pm PDT With twenty-seven nominees and six different winners under a number of cool categories, the event came to a grand conclusion amidst loud cheers and applause from one and all. While it was delightful to see the happy faces of all the nominees and winners, excitement went through the roof before the biggest award of the night, Icon of Newhood, was announced. Bhuvan Bam was chosen as the 'Icon of Newhood' by people, who chose the winner in each category by casting their vote. The 'Icon of Newhood' award was meant for the one who is a complete package. 3. 'Game Of Thrones' is in the final season as the show comes to a close in about a month. The fantasy show is one of the most pirated TV series on the planet and is also one of the reasons for its major success. The Season premiere of the show was leaked online an hour earlier by DirectTV last week; however, the second episode was leaked well in advance. © HBO The second episode of GOT Season 8 was leaked by none other than Amazon Prime as it was green-lit to go live on Amazon Prime Germany, 8 hours before the world premiere. The leak was taken down but many got to see the entire episode way before it even came to the airwaves — including us. The episode was later uploaded on many websites and torrent posters with spoilers about the episode starting to leak on social media. © HBO HBO went to great lengths to keep the final show a secret such as dodging drones during filming, only letting the cast read some chunks of the script and stop offering screeners to press for this season. Screeners are usually leaked online thanks to some rogue journalist who cannot fight the temptation. However, this time around the leak came from Amazon Prime, the streaming giant partnered with HBO for GOT in Germany. We have seen episodes leaked by partners before; however, HBO has also been victim to leaks because of their own mistakes. © HBO The leaked episode was spotted in the back pages of Reddit and then was shared across all social media platforms. Some die-hard GOT fans waited for the full HD version of the new episode but there were some fans who could not wait. GOT premieres each episode globally at the same time. However, it does get hard to manage so many regions. Leaks are inevitable and we suspect that this will not be the last leak for the final season.
  4. PUBG Mobile is currently one of the most popular games in the country, with millions of active players, and a fair share of controversies. They all go hard when it comes to all the customization and in-game rewards, so Tencent has decided to launch new subscription packages with better rewards. With the latest PUBG Mobile update 0.11.5, the new Prime and Prime Plus subscription are now live in India. These new subscription packages will allow players to purchase Unknown Cash (UC), discounts, and also the option to buy items with Battle Points (BP). The option to buy these subscription packages should show up as soon as you start the game. Here are all the details - © PUBG Corp. Both PUBG Mobile Prime and Prime Plus subscription will get you particulars like UC and the option to buy items with BP. Of course, the rewards are going to be greater with the Prime Plus subscription over the regular Prime subscription. So, with Prime Plus subscription, you'll get the option to keep the items purchased with BP permanently, more UC, RP, etc. What's not included in the Prime subscription are daily free RP points, and other miscellaneous items like one-day advance room card, premium crate coupon, and more. So you'll essentially be shelling out more on the Prime Plus subscription for additional rewards. © PUBG Corp. The PUBG Mobile Prime and Prime Plus subscription package price for Android-based devices starts from Rs 85 per day. For Prime Plus, you'll have to pay Rs 400 per month and the amount goes up to Rs 850 after the first month. For iOS users, the monthly subscription is for Rs 79 and Rs 419 for Prime and Prime Plus respectively. The amount for Prime Plus goes up to Rs 799 after a month.
  5. A Prime Minister of a country would be a very busy person, no denying that. But, a lot of people are confused as to how a Prime Minister has the time to sell his own merch online. Yep, the 'Chowkidar' craze doesn't seem to be going anywhere since the 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' campaign was launched by PM Modi a little over a week ago. The phrase is literally everywhere and BJP supporters have even proudly put 'Chowkidar' in front of their name on Twitter, including our PM. But, a couple of days ago, BJP decided to take this campaign even further and start making T-shirts that say 'Main Bhi Chowkidar'. You know how when YouTubers get a little famous, they start their own merch line? Well, this is just like that and to keep the momentum of this movement going, T-shirts are out (which are orange, of course) and we'll probably see people everywhere wearing it now. Drawing flak for acting like a 'door to door salesman' instead of being the Prime Minister of a country, people did not hold back on Twitter. 6. Ever since renouncing his captaincy, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been a subject of immense criticism and topic of great discussion among the critics. There is no doubt that the Jharkhand cricketer, who once thrived in the role of India's finisher, has been struggling for a while to score at will. While some continue to call him a liability for Team India, others have even gone on to suggest that he is unnecessarily occupying a crucial slot in the side which could have been used by a much-deserving candidate. All those critical viewpoints had once again thronged social media when India lost the first ODI against Australia by 34 runs at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The former Indian captain was slammed for playing 96 deliveries and scoring just 51 runs. He was blamed for starting real slow and then, when Rohit Sharma needed an experienced partner at the other end, losing his wicket (even if it was an umpiring error). Many had questioned the Indian selectors if they really believed that Virat Kohli-led side can actually win the upcoming ICC World Cup with Dhoni in the team. © Twitter/@BCCI A few days later, the Indian cricket team found itself in a similar situation, lagging behind in their run-chase early on and Dhoni in the mix, yet again. With Virat Kohli carrying the baton for his side, having already reached his fifty, Dhoni came to the crease with India needing another 137 runs at an asking rate of over 7.20. With Kohli's willow breathing fire, the cricket fans and pundits had placed their bets on the Indian captain to see the visitors through. Nobody, especially after last ODI's debacle, was really interested in what Dhoni had to offer as his slow start (12 runs off 21 balls) already had the naysayers slamming him on the social media. And, when Kohli was dismissed in the 44th over, the Indian fans dreaded the reoccurrence of those grim scenes that had earlier cut India a sorry figure at the SCG. With 57 runs still on board to get, the Australians undoubtedly fancied their chances, taking confidence from their triumph that came in similar situations in Sydney. But, at a time, when his detractors were waiting for him to fail yet again, the 37-year-old showed great resilience and stepped up to the task, bringing in all his experience to change India's fortunes. As the asking-rate crept over nine runs an over, Dhoni took calculated risks in a bid to keep his side in the game without losing wickets in the crunch moments of the game. Adequately supported by Dinesh Karthik (25*) who was holding the fort at the other end, the former Indian captain continued to rotate strike and pounced on the bad deliveries - traits of an experienced campaigner who has over 10,000 ODI runs to his name. © Twitter/@BCCI It eventually came down to 7 runs off the final six deliveries as the cricket fans across the globe geared up for another nail-biting showdown. But, all the excitement was killed with Dhoni's monstrous hit on the first delivery of Jason Behrendorff's over. Clearing his front leg and bringing all that bottom-hand power into play, Dhoni produced a mighty blow - one that must've hurt his detractors more than Australia themselves. Dhoni hits detractors and skeptics for a 6! Tight match, fine win — Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) January 15, 2019 Fantastic run chase by India . Excellent 100 from Virat, he makes it look very easy. Was wonderful to see Dhoni finish of the game beautifully and Dinesh Karthik's cameo was very very important in the end. The final game should be a cracker. — VVS Laxman (@VVSLaxman281) January 15, 2019 With the equation (1 run off 5 balls) heavily in favour of the visitors, Dhoni did what he does best - scoring the winning runs and finishing the game for India. An MSD classic (55*), as it was, Dhoni's gritty fifty was stark reminder of what this old warhorse brings to the table. And, even if the last year wasn't really great for the Indian cricketer, the fact that he has begun 2019 with two fifties in a row might just be a sign of bigger and greater things to come from Dhoni. It's amazing that in the last ODI game, that many people criticised @msdhoni and he got a rough LBW decision, now with @imVkohli and @DineshKarthik he finishes a great game. Dhoni is a freak. Been saying it for years. — Dean Jones (@ProfDeano) January 15, 2019 Dhoni has shown his class here. Just understood the situation beautifully. And this is a tribute to his fitness — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) January 15, 2019 The Jharkhand cricketer might be on the older side. Despite his impeccable fitness levels, he still might not be as agile as he once was. And, he may not be able to score sixes at will as he once did. But, Dhoni is and will always be the cricketer that India can always rely on in those crunch situations when the likes of Kohli, Rohit, Dhawan and all the other prominent batters are back in the hut - a fact that, once again, came to the fore at the Adelaide Oval.
  7. It's going to be NaMo vs NaMo at the box-office, as another biopic is being made on Prime Minister Narendra Modi featuring actor Paresh Rawal. Recently, actor Vivek Oberoi shared the first look from his upcoming biopic, which is being directed by Omung Kumar, where he will be playing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Turns out Paresh Rawal is making another movie on PM Modi. In fact, the actor seems to be confident about the role as he told Mid-Day in an interview that, "No one can pull off the role better (than me)." © legend global studio In 2018, during the promotion of 'Sanju', actor Paresh Rawal has confirmed that he is making a biopic on PM Modi, so looking at one with Vivek Oberoi was kind of a surprise for all of us. When asked about the same, he said that PM Modi's life has sufficient fodder for directors to explore and his biopic will focus on how a man with limited experience first became Gujarat's Chief Minister and then the nation's Prime Minister. © Instagram "He's not an armchair (prime minister), but a passionate countryman who has visited abundant villages (to study problems) firsthand. These factors will be the driving forces of our biopic," Paresh further told Mid-Day. Reportedly, Paresh will be producing this movie. However, nothing is known about the director. Currently, Paresh Rawal is gearing up for the release of 'Uri', where he will play former intelligence officer Ajit Doval, the man who is said to have supervised the 2016 surgical strikes. 'Uri' is releasing on January 11.
  8. Even before its release, 'The Accidental Prime Minister' is making headlines almost every single day. Earlier, the movie's trailer was removed from YouTube, then cases were registered against the actors and to put a ban on the release. However, beating all odds, 'The Accidental Prime Minister' is finally releasing on January 11 and ahead of the big release, actor Anupam Kher aka the reel-life Dr. Manmohan Singh has been constantly sharing updates with his fans on social media. View this post on Instagram Dear @akshaye_khanna!! Anupam Kher deserves all the credit for portraying such a complex character and adapting Singh's silent yet strong mannerism with utmost brilliance. Apart from Anupam Kher, actor Akshaye Khanne too has impressed us with his brilliant portrayal of Baru. Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, the film is releasing on January 11.
  9. One of this year's most anticipated movies 'The Accidental Prime Minister' starring Anupam Kher in the lead role, as former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh, has yet again made headlines, after being constantly entangled in controversies since its trailer released last week. If you are wondering what the film has gotten itself into this time around, then we'd ask you to hold your horses right there. Why? Because it seems like “somebody” has made sure that the anticipation and hype around the movie be cut short. Perhaps in the hopes of distracting the audience and Indian citizens from the can of worms the movie is set to unravel. © Rudra Productions Last evening Anupam Kher who plays the lead role in the movie, pointed out that the trailer for 'The Accidental Prime Minister' has gone missing from YouTube (or most likely it was taken down). The trailer had over 37 million views since its release, and was trending at #1! Audience have openly appreciated the performance of Kher and Akshaye Khanna who shall be seen essaying the role of Sanjaya Baru in the film. The possibilities seem to have irked Kher quite a bit, since he took to Twitter to share his concern regarding the issue. Dear @YouTube!!! Much like the book, the movie tries to trace the journey of the former PM, while he ruled the nation on the behest of the Congress party, and Sonia Gandhi in particular. While we smell something fishy here, let's wait and see what else the movie holds in store.
  10. You know what's weird? The official Twitter account of a political party sharing a movie trailer. I don't think that has been done ever before, but BJP is here to break all the rules, apparently. The trailer of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' dropped yesterday and has obviously gotten a lot of shares online but the most important, talked about share came from BJP. Along with the trailer, the tweet also said - Riveting tale of how a family held the country to ransom for 10 long years. Some people questioned how a ruling party can openly endorse a movie about the opposition while some questioned the credibility of the 'insider account' since the endorsement by BJP made things confusing. After all, any publicity is good publicity https://t.co/iKNYsiAAKm — SuranjanaRB (@SuranjanaRb) December 28, 2018 We can just hope. Is it the first time that a national party of BJP's scale is promoting a movie trailer? Is this movie an instrument to humiliate one of the most learned PM's the country ever had... hopefully not. https://t.co/rjNjEHCoPk — Raktimâï¸ (@1cosmicguru) December 28, 2018 Don't know. It just a movie based on a book. Why this desperation? https://t.co/d3WhSBOKRR — Abhishek Parashar (@abhishekiimc) December 28, 2018 Oh no. A political party promoting a movie. The erosion of @AnupamPKher's goodwill is finally complete. https://t.co/heACvvyhqe — shubhankar.c (@monkeypreneur) December 28, 2018 Okay then. Bjp promoting this.. wow.. @AnupamPKher it shows clear political intention and you liked this tweet also.. sirji I am a big fan of yours but this is not acceptable and also trailer shows it clearly undermines Dr Singh. https://t.co/0I25gqN3By — Just kunal (@motakunal) December 28, 2018 Apparently. Movie's official sponsor is BJP? — Jet Lee(Vasooli Bhai) (@Vishj05) December 27, 2018 Exactly. Bhai tum kyu promote kar rahe ho. 11. In 2014 Sanjaya Baru, Indian policy analyst and media advisor to former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh, stirred up quite a storm by releasing his controversial book, 'The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh'. © Rudra Productions Fast forward to the present and the reel-life Baru is all set to stir up a storm at the box-office with his incredible performance. We're talking about Akshaye Khanna, who has already won us over with his portrayal of Baru in the brilliant trailer of 'The Accidental Prime Minister', which dropped today. © Instagram Anupam Kher as Dr. Manmohan Singh looks amazing in the trailer, but it's actually Akshaye Khanna who has clean bowled us with his sassy and shrewd narration and owned the trailer in the truest sense. But, of course, Anupam Kher too deserves all the credit for portraying such a complex character and adapting Singh's silent yet strong mannerism with utmost brilliance. While the book certainly gave fodder to the opposition as well as the entire nation to question Manmohan Singh's powers, and Sonia Gandhi and the Congress party's impact on his political decisions; the movie is a bold and daring attempt at answering those accusations and Dr Singh's alleged conflicts with the party. Suzanne Bernert too does a great job as Sonia Gandhi, who persistently tries to push for her son Rahul Gandhi to become the prime minister, while the country was going through a political crisis. Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, 'The Accidental Prime Minister' will be releasing on January 11, 2019.

  13. If you are one of those who find Netflix unreasonably costly, then you should go for Amazon Prime. With Rs 999 a year, it's quite cheap and some of its content also is much better than the overrated shows of Netflix. I can give you '13 reasons why' Amazon Prime is better than Netflix but for now, let's see some of its shows which are lesser known but still a great watch: 1. Doctor Foster © BBC One You must have heard the phrase 'A jealous woman does better research than FBI.' This series somewhat shows that, except here, our protagonist, Dr. Foster isn't jealous but suspects that her husband might be cheating on her. It's one of the shows which brilliantly offer the 'what-would-happen-next' thrill. You will see brilliant performances by the cast, great direction, and very subtle but engaging plot twists. With an IMDB rating of 8, this drama is a must watch. 2. Coupling © BBC This series is an adult version of FRIENDS. I'm not saying it is as good, but it will definitely make you laugh. The entire series revolves around a group of friends who often meet in a bar to discuss aspects of life, relationships, ***, and everything else. Rated 8.6 at IMDB, this one is one hell of a ***-comedy. 3. The Grand Tour © Amazon Prime Video The Grand Tour is strictly for the ones who are fond of adventure and automobiles, as it offers you both. Standing tall at 9.1 IMDB rating, the show is hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond. They travel the globe driving the cars that will make you curse your job. It has amazingly great cinematography and this show is a must watch for driving enthusiasts. 4. The Night Manager © BBC This is one of the best series that I've watched in the recent times. I was skeptical about it but when I found out that our beloved Dr. House is playing the role of an antagonist, I just had to watch it. And I am glad I did! The series revolves around a night manager of a hotel who tries to bring down the empire of an arms dealer. It has suspense, drama, great acting, and 'at-the-edge-to-my-seat' kind of thrill. 5. The Man In The High Castle © Amazon Studios If you're a history buff, then you should watch this. The series shows what life would have been had the Nazis won the World War II. Showing the alternate universe, this series has brilliant direction & a great story-line. Watch this show to enter in the world of Hitler. 6. This Is Us © NBC One word for this series – beautiful! This is us is a story of a set of triplets which shows their life, how 'different' they are, their struggles, and their love for each other. The plot keeps on jumping from past to present and present to past, showing every aspect of their lives. It has comedy, drama, romance and an 8.8 IMDB rating. Don't miss it.

  17. Laptops in India have always been fairly expensive when compared to their counterparts in other markets.
