  1. On its website, the IHRF lists its address as: “35 W 31st Street Frnt 1, New York, NY 10001.” However, Google indicates the location instead be a Fedex shipping center in New York
  2. Tom Cruise reportedly paused the shooting of 'Mission Impossible 7' to fly to Seoul for 'Top Gun: Maverick' promotions
  3. Rohit Sharma has been earning praise for his captaincy skills ever since he took over the reins from Virat Kohli across formats. Rohit has marshalled his troops well in the limited opportunities he has got to lead the Men in Blue. While Rohit has proved his worth as a leader in the franchise cricket as he is the most successful IPL captain with five titles, his decision on Thursday during the first T20I against Sri Lanka was heavily criticised by fans. Rohit was forced to make a change in the playing XI as just before the toss, Ruturaj Gaikwad injured his wrist and was deemed unfit to take the field. This forced Team India to play with two wicket-keepers batters in Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson. Sanju Samson fans like like the tweet pic.twitter.com/vhNX1geWi3 — Avi Nagar (@AviNaga10742642) February 23, 2022 Kishan opened the innings with Rohit but Samson did not get a chance to bat as Shreyas Iyer and a fit-again Ravindra Jadeja were sent up the order. Rohit had praised Samson's ability with the bat just before the start of the series against Sri Lanka and when the Indian captain did not utilise his batting prowess, fans were left disappointed and criticised his tactics. Jadeja ahead of Samson ? Why did that happen — Shashwat Jha (@Shashwatthhh_) February 24, 2022Can u tell me Why jadeja on 4 .? what's use of Samson in playing 11 then..? Venky ka confidence again toda — Felix Makwana (@felixmakwana) February 24, 2022From the time 14 yr old Sanju Samson exhibited huge talent at the trials of KKR I have been reading of his ' bowlers destroying' ability. At 27 he has played only 1 ODI & 10 T20 for India. Shouldn't he have been sent at 3 yesterday ? Why talk about his talent & not use it ? — Makarand Waingankar (@wmakarand) February 25, 2022Yet to bat: Sanju Samson : 199/2 (20) pic.twitter.com/UCRtHdATRY — Rajasthan Royals (@rajasthanroyals) February 24, 2022#INDvsSL #INDvSL They had Sanju Samson in the 11 and forgot to use him pic.twitter.com/Uwg2y0WCsC — Hemant (@Sportscasmm) February 24, 2022Samson had played just 10 T20I and never got a consistent run at the international circuit. He has scored 117 runs in the shortest format of the game while the 27-year-old has played one ODI for India. India made six changes to their playing XI from their last outing against the West Indies. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant were given a break while Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Chahar were out of the side due to injuries. ODI debut T20I debut Congratulations to @HoodaOnFire who is set to play his maiden T20I game. #TeamIndia | #INDvSL | @Paytm pic.twitter.com/4aUqemcFMF — BCCI (@BCCI) February 24, 2022 With Samson and Venkatesh Iyer waiting in the wings, the decision to promote Jadeja was a bid odd. It might pay off in the next game but it must have taken a toll on the confidence of Venkatesh Iyer who showed great form with the bat but was demoted even in the absence of Rishabh Pant. The decision to experiment is fine to an extent but if it is demoralising players and not allowing the newcomers to showcase their talent and cement a place in the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, then the management is just wasting opportunities. 4. Neeraj Chopra recently shared a tweet while promoting the auctioning of the javelin he had used to win the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics earlier this year. Stand a chance to make my Olympic javelin yours, at the https://t.co/XCT5G6GNBf auction which will take place until Oct 7. Proceeds from the auction will go towards the Namami Gange initiative. pic.twitter.com/mdWZA72VJ1 — Neeraj Chopra (@Neeraj_chopra1) October 5, 2021 “Stand a chance to make my Olympic javelin yours, at the http://pmmementos.gov.in auction which will take place until Oct 7. Proceeds from the auction will go towards the Namami Gange initiative,” he wrote in the post on the micro-blogging website. With the deadline to bid for the item being October 7, 2021, 5 PM IST, the highest bid is already sitting at Rs 1,00,00,500 and more and more people are offering their bids to have possession of the priceless javelin. According to Chopra’s tweet, all the proceeds that come from the auction will go towards the Namami Gange Programme, an initiative started by the Government of India in 2014, with the “twin objectives of effective abatement of pollution, conservation and rejuvenation of National River Ganga.” The initial budget outlay for this project was Rs 20,000 Cr according to NMCG. However, the Olympic gold medallist’s decision to auction off his memorable javelin did not sit well with some of his fans, even though it is for a good cause. Some felt that Chopra is wrong in giving away that one true thing that not only made him a world champion but also brought him seemingly limitless fame and global recognition. Others simply do not believe in the Namami Gange initiative. Bhai ji it's your memories for the lifetime with this javelin, please don't sell it in auction... This money will not go in namami gange, it will go in the pockets of corrupt politicians in power now..please keep it with you bro Jai haryanavi jai hind — Ashish Dahiya (@ashishD530) October 6, 2021It's a good initiative . But Ye paise Khiladi pe kharch karte to jyda acha tha. Bahut jagah stadium nahi hai junior players kitne hai jinhe financial problems rahti hai us par kharch karte to bahut acha hota. वैसे सरकार की उपलब्धि गिनाने के काम आएंगे । — Er. Sweta rani (@Sahipatel4) October 5, 2021Don't auction it Rather save it with yourself and motivate the future athletes. Sarkar ka toh kaam hee hai sb bechna aur ho kya rha inse — Ankit Choudhary (@AKChoudharyyyy) October 5, 2021Donate it to National Sports Museum, where all previous sports related stuff have been preserved. More than money, Namami Gange project requires intent. — Yogesh Kumar ਯੋਗੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ (@igoy_k) October 6, 2021I appreciate the spend on #NamamiGange initiative and also pro @narendramodi but the question arises that why #Ganga is not cleaned yet despite of spending billions. Where is accountability or plan or it’s adhoc. Sorry but I have to express the reality @Pvsindhu1 @mirabai_chanu https://t.co/c3UaBpgUn1 — ManishMadbaiyaUSA (@ManishMadbaiya5) October 6, 2021However, there were also those who felt that it was a great step that Chopra had taken towards protecting the Ganges river and that auctioning his javelin for a cause as big as this will only bring his fans closer to him. I think it's good initiative taken by d Govt of India .v known Ganga as MaaGanga,it's holy water .it's every1's responsibility dat v should keep clean rivers and surroundings 2.hope fr the best bid for NamamiGange!it's also supported by Shri.Uma Bharati. pic.twitter.com/8dMKz568Yy — Devyani kubade (@devyani_kubade) October 5, 2021You are a true inspiration for the young of this country! — Akshay Gupta (@GuyWithYogaMat) October 6, 2021Sir it's a great initiative by our respected pm......u r great — Kiran Tiwari (@KiranTiwari05) October 5, 2021The auction also features the javelin used by Sumit Antil to bag the gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020, the badminton racket used by shuttler PV Sindhu to win the bronze medal, a hockey stick signed by the members of the Indian hockey team that won the bronze medal. Other sports equipment such as Bhavani Devi’s fence is also up for grabs. The last time such an auction took place was in 2019. In that auction, the government raised over Rs 15.13 crore.
