  1. Kim Jong-Un is alive, guys! After weeks of speculation about his health and even rumours about his death, it turns out the dictator of North Korea is happy and healthy and back to work. People were already convinced that he's gone after news of him being hospitalized broke but apparently, it's not that easy to kill evil. He made his first public appearance after weeks yesterday as he attended the opening of a fertilizer factory. Or actually, it's also comparable to Jon Snow as well and I wouldn't be surprised if he has his own Melisandre who brought him back. © HBO There were so many jokes about how Kim Jong Un seems like the person to fake his own death to see how people would react and then take revenge on everyone who were even slightly happy about it. 6. Google Maps is one of the most popular mobile apps out there used by billions of people and Google has been trying really hard to add more meaningful features to the app over time. On the same lines, Google has now added a really useful feature to the app for its users in India during the on-going Coronavirus lockdown. The folks over at Google are working closely with the central and the state government to show public food and night shelters. The feature is now available to use in India and it's available in English for now. Apparently, Google is working to enable the experience in Hindi as well soon. Public Food Shelters and Public Night Shelters can now be found on Google Maps, for 31 cities (more Shelters, Cities being added). Search on Google or Google Maps for "Food Shelter Near Me" or "Night Shelter Near Me" to find the closest shelter.#IndiaFightsCorona#9pm9minute pic.twitter.com/a9QFO2gyVo â MyGovIndia (@mygovindia) April 5, 2020 Users can look for these food and night shelters on Google Maps, Google Search and Google Assistant by simply searching for "food shelters in" or "night shelters in" followed by the name of the place. © Reuters Google understands that the users who probably need to search for these shelters may not have a smartphone and hence, it has enabled the feature for Jio Phone users as well through the available Google Assistant access. The results will show up across 30 cities for now, but we're sure more places are being added. We really hope this feature is being discovered by more users and it eventually reaches the people in need. These are tough times and it's really great to see all these companies putting their best step forward to help all of us fight this virus together. View the full article

  10. With close to 1.5 lakh positive cases worldwide, the highly contagious coronavirus COVID-19 is wreaking havoc across the globe. 5,443 people have succumbed to infection since its outbreak in Wuhan in January this year. The virus infection has spread across 149 countries and territories globally, and the count for those infected continues to climb steadily. As disheartening and worrisome as these numbers are, outbreaks such as these donât spare anyone, and don't discriminate between rich and poor, celebrities and the common man. With new cases coming up every other day, here is a list of 9 celebrities and public figures who have tested positive for COVID-19: 1. Tom Hanks © Instagram The 63-year-old Hollywood megastar took to his Instagram account earlier this week to announce that he and his wife actress Rita Wilson have been diagnosed with COVID-19 while they were in Australia. In his classic âHanxâ style he has been making light of the situation saying, âRemember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball,â as the MLB Opening Day gets delayed due to the outbreak. 2. Rudy Gobert © Instagram The 27-year-old NBA star had recently taken the Coronavirus infection too lightly, when after a press conference he carelessly touched several microphones in front of him as if he was going to give people the highly contagious disease. Two days later the Utah Jazz player tested positive for COVID-19. 3. Rita Wilson © Instagram Just like husband Tom Hanks, the 63-year-old Sleepless In Seattle star was in Australia when she too tested positive for Coronavirus and has since been placed in quarantine along with her husband. She recently thanked fans and well-wishers for their prayers and also asked people on Twitter to help her with suggestions for a quarantine playlist which she called the âQUARANTUNEâ. 4. Daniele Rugani © Instagram Juventus centre back, 25-year-old Rugani was one of the first footballers to get a positive diagnosis for Coronavirus. Teammate and ace footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is also in quarantine though he hasnât tested positive for COVID-19 yet. 5. Sophie Trudeau © Instagram Soon after coming back from an official visit from a London speaking engagement, 44-year-old Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeauâs wife complained of feeling sick earlier this week. Upon routine tests, she made an announcement about her positive diagnosis the next day. 7. Mikel Arteta © Instagram Reportedly, the 37-year-old Arsenal managerâs diagnosis has led to all elite football in Britain getting suspended. 11. When it comes to millennials, their idea of love and its expression have evolved way beyond the boundaries and restrictions of the bygone era, thus resulting in some complications too. Love in the 21st century is both the same and different today as we are trying to reconfigure it for lives led at a very fast pace. Since the 17th century, it's been the pursuit of love that has excited us. Back in the 80s, our parents could hardly even confess their feelings to their loved ones. Cut to the present, everything is out in the open and people are comfortable in putting snippets of their personal lives out on social media for everyone to consume. © Maddock Films Here are the excerpts from the interview: The ideology of love in the 21st century Sara: In 2020, it doesn't matter what a male or a female side is. There are just different viewpoints about love and the basic ethos of love remains the same. I don't think it's about gender disparities anymore. It's about how present are you mentally in that relationship. View this post on Instagram#HaanMainGalat â¤ï¸ . . Out tomorrow #LoveAajkal ðºð»ðð»ð¥A post shared by (@kartikaaryan) Kartik: It's always been the same. I believe it's something which is more about you rather than the time we live in. The kind of availability and options that we have in the digital scenario wasn't the case in the old times. It's to each his or her own. I really feel that be it the millennial age or even younger generations than us, it has always been about the feeling and the jitters you get in a relationship. Instagram Wala Love: Is going public a good idea? Sara: It's a shit idea. I believe the more public you go, the more it gets worse. I think love is very personal and it should be kept between two people because it would stay real and close to you. View this post on InstagramJo Tum Na ho â¤ï¸A post shared by (@kartikaaryan) Kartik: I also think the same as I never felt the need to go public. I have never talked about my personal life. I feel whenever you make a statement or even talk about it in public, it becomes a conversation that will keep coming back to you. I think it's one of the personal feelings and it should be kept that way. Food Being The Cupid In Relationships... Sara: The real answer to this question is that the more real things that you do with your loved one, the more special it's going to be. I think more than anything, eating is a very primal instinct and if you can enjoy doing that with your partner, it's very basic. If you find someone who can do this simple stuff like eating which is devoid of any glitter, it's actually great. View this post on InstagramKaafi dubli ho gayi ho Aao pehle jaisi sehat banayeinA post shared by (@kartikaaryan) Kartik: It's not only restricted to food, as I believe if you can enjoy silence with your partner, it's all worth it. For me, if you spend time with someone in complete silence without having any thought of doing or saying something and still being in that harmony, it's pure and you have totally cracked it. Sara On Being An Inspiration Sara: I think that inspires me to do better because inspiration is a circular thing. If I know I have the ability to inspire even one girl to be more her, I will be glad. I think we need people to make us realize who we are and celebrate and channelize our inner self. Heartbreak As A Reason Of Depression In Millennials Sara: What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. Kartik: I understand it can be really tough for people, but you really need to stay strong and you should always discuss this with the right people. Sara and Kartik's latest release Love Aaj Kal 2 explores the journey of love in two different time frames and compares the obstacles of one with another. The movie has warmed up to mixed reactions from the audience and critics alike. If you're planning to catch it this weekend, check out the trailer below: View the full article

  13. Meghan Markle visited the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre in Canada since stepping back as senior members of royal family. Photo: Twitter VANCOUVER: Prince Harry's wife Meghan has visited a women's shelter in Vancouver, her first public appearance since the couple's sensational decision to pursue greater independence from the British monarchy by living part-time in Canada. The Duchess of Sussex visited the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre on Tuesday and met with staffers. The centre is a non-profit organisation that provides support to women who are fleeing violence, dealing with homelessness or living in poverty. It offers daily hot meals, counselling, clothing, showers, toiletries and more. It serves about 500 women a day. On a cold, uncharacteristically snowy day, the centre was bustling, as women from diverse ethnic backgrounds and all ages gathered in its main hall. Still bundled in their coats, many sat around tables and on sofas sipping hot beverages, using their phones, chatting and warming up. Markle met with the director and a handful of frontline staff to discuss the challenges women in the neighbourhood are facing. "She was very interested in what goes on for women in this community, who we all know are marginalized women who've faced many challenges and barriers to their wellbeing," said Kate Gibson, the acting executive director of the centre. "She was interested, she was informed, she had great questions, followed up with questions on things that the staff had spoken about," Gibson added. Prince Harry, sixth in line to the throne, and Meghan last week announced they intend to step back as senior royals and strive to become financially independent, splitting their time between Britain and Canada where they spent six weeks over Christmas with baby son Archie. They are now in talks with senior royals about how their wished-for new roles within the monarchy could work. The Daily Mail also published photos of Meghan in a parka, boarding a seaplane from Victoria, British Columbia, where she's currently staying, to Vancouver for the shelter visit. Paying for the relocation Earlier, an Angus Reid Institute survey said that despite Canadians' affection for the royal couple, a large majority (73 per cent) do not wish to foot security or other costs for their relocation. Nineteen percent said they'd agree to cover part of the costs, while only three per cent agreed with Canada paying all of the costs. Canadian media have estimated the costs of protecting Prince Harry and Meghan at approximately Can1.7 million (US$1.3 million) per year. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government has yet to take a position publicly on the matter, saying there are "discussions going on," while extending a warm welcome to the couple. The survey of 1,154 Canadians on Monday and Tuesday also found that while respect and affection for Queen Elizabeth II — Canada's head of state — is broad-based and strong, Canadians are "at a crossroads" over future ties with the monarchy. Most say the House of Windsor has lost relevance, while only 39 percent believe Canada should continue as a constitutional monarchy after the queen, who has reigned for 66 years, dies. Paradoxically, support for Prince Harry is much higher. He is viewed among Canadians as the most personally popular member of the royal family, with 69 per cent viewing him favorably.

  15. Yes, you read that right, a “USB Condom” does exist even though it is probably the worst phrase you may have heard in the technology space. It is a device that prevents your smartphone at public charging points from transferring data. It can also be termed as a USB “data blocker” and is officially called the PortaPow 3rd-gen USB data blocker. © PortaPow It costs around Rs 500 and has the ability to kill all data transfers as it removes any data transfers by obstructing the connection physically. This device prevents scammers from phishing at public charging points as a way to steal data from users. One needs to simply attach the PortaPow data blocker to the charging end of a cable and then plug it into the smartphone. © PortaPow Scammers or hackers use “juice jacking” as a method to copy sensitive data or install malware on smartphones, tablets and other smart devices. In other cases, scammers have been able to install ransomware on smartphones and lockout users from their own devices unless the demanded ransom is paid. Scammers have also gone to the extent of leaving charging cables at these public charging points to target users who have forgotten their own cables. If you really do care about your own privacy or do not want any malware on your phone, Rs 500 is a very small price to pay. However, this data blocker is not compatible with USB-C devices. So, until the company releases a new one soon, you can get another adaptor to make it compatible with your existing devices. View the full article

  17. On one side, we have a critically acclaimed, seasoned and beloved cricket commentator and sports journalist Harsha Bhogle, who's been an integral part of the Indian cricket fraternity for just a little under three decades now. On the other, we have this man named Sanjay Manjrekar, a so called 'cricket analyst' who not only (mind my words here) sucks at analysing the game and its players on a regular basis but can be seen insulting some of the biggest legends of the sport from time to time as well. © Twitter And while the fans of Indian cricket usually take his comments as that of an angry, misguided teenager, who's lost his way, Manjrekar crossed the line when he openly insulted Bhogle's expertise during the second Test match between India and Bangladesh at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. During the game, Bhogle asked for an analysis of the first ever pink-ball Test that both India and Bangladesh played for the first time in their entire cricketing history. He opined that the players must be asked for a review on the visibility of the pink-ball and if they struggled in sighting it. Was that an invalid opinion? No. Was it irrelevant to the game? No. Did it, in any form or shape, insult Manjrekar and his mountain-sized ego? Not really. But still, the former Indian middle-order batsman felt the need to insult the esteemed commentator for doing his job, which by the way, Manjrekar is now getting paid to do as well. "Only you need to ask Harsha, not us, who have played a fair bit of the game," Manjrekar said in his usual arrogant yet ignorant tone. Clearly the fans took notice of the cricket analyst's condescending tone and let the man get an earful: Today you misbehaved with Harshað — Mohit Sharma (@mohitsharma13__) November 24, 2019 the Indian fans wish you were out too to never return to the comm box. — Cricweet (@BeingCricketMad) November 24, 2019 It is this incredible smugness that makes #SanjayManjrekar the worst possible broadcaster in the history of the game. Unreal arrogance combined with a total ignorance about his own pathetic quality as a commentator. A public apology to #Harshabhogle is the least he can do. https://t.co/m5hAnceFAa — Arunabha Sengupta (@senantix) November 24, 2019 U were right @bhogleharsha. Nothing wrong in asking the batsmen from both teams. Good to know the opinion.@sanjaymanjrekar u were rude.U dont know how to talk to ur fellow commentator even if he didnt play the game. How many matches did u won for IND? Watch ur language!#INDvBAN — Madhur Stark ð®ð³ (@MadhurShrotri) November 24, 2019 Really didn't expect that from you @sanjaymanjrekar A player turned broadcaster who knows the difference between the two professions. You were almost questioning Bhogle's credentials to voice his opinion. It didn't sound good. — Narayanan S (@narayanantweaks) November 24, 2019 Based on his previous endeavours, to ask Manjrekar to make a public apology is like hitting your head on a brick wall. He will admit that he was wrong, but will make a cheesy, non-hilarious joke about the whole scenario, listen to some more criticism for that joke and just move on. But he won't apologise. At least that's what he did with Ravindra Jadeja when he called him a “bits and pieces” player at the time of the ICC World Cup 2019 and Jadeja went on to smash a thunderous half-ton against New Zealand in the semi-finals. "By bits 'n' pieces of sheer brilliance, he's ripped me apart on all fronts."@sanjaymanjrekar has something to say to @imjadeja after the all-rounder's fantastic performance against New Zealand.#INDvNZ | #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/i96h5bJWpE — ICC (@ICC) July 10, 2019 Well played Jadeja! ð — Sanjay Manjrekar (@sanjaymanjrekar) July 10, 2019 But if he has learned anything from his past mistakes, it is his responsibility to apologise to Harsha Bhogle, one of the finest cricket commentators in the history of the game, in public. Even an apology tweet would do but if you've got the audacity to wrongfully challenge someone's opinion, you've got to have the stomach to apologise for it as well. View the full article
