The Jalebi actress took to Instagram and shared some PDA-filled photos on Sushant’s birthday with a romantic caption. She wrote, “Happy birthday to the most beautiful” supermassive black hole “ that is known to mankind ! Shine on you crazy diamond @sushantsinghrajput”. The actress also called Sushant a “boy with a golden heart” The MS Dhoni: The Untold Story actor, while acknowledging Rhea’s post dropped a loveable comment, “Thank youuuuuuu my Rockstarrrr”. The couple was tight-lipped over their relationship in the past. Before Rhea, Sushant dated Ankita Lokhande for six years. They called it quits in 2016.
  2. Meghan Markle visited the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre in Canada since stepping back as senior members of royal family. Photo: Twitter VANCOUVER: Prince Harry's wife Meghan has visited a women's shelter in Vancouver, her first public appearance since the couple's sensational decision to pursue greater independence from the British monarchy by living part-time in Canada. The Duchess of Sussex visited the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre on Tuesday and met with staffers. The centre is a non-profit organisation that provides support to women who are fleeing violence, dealing with homelessness or living in poverty. It offers daily hot meals, counselling, clothing, showers, toiletries and more. It serves about 500 women a day. On a cold, uncharacteristically snowy day, the centre was bustling, as women from diverse ethnic backgrounds and all ages gathered in its main hall. Still bundled in their coats, many sat around tables and on sofas sipping hot beverages, using their phones, chatting and warming up. Markle met with the director and a handful of frontline staff to discuss the challenges women in the neighbourhood are facing. "She was very interested in what goes on for women in this community, who we all know are marginalized women who've faced many challenges and barriers to their wellbeing," said Kate Gibson, the acting executive director of the centre. "She was interested, she was informed, she had great questions, followed up with questions on things that the staff had spoken about," Gibson added. Prince Harry, sixth in line to the throne, and Meghan last week announced they intend to step back as senior royals and strive to become financially independent, splitting their time between Britain and Canada where they spent six weeks over Christmas with baby son Archie. They are now in talks with senior royals about how their wished-for new roles within the monarchy could work. The Daily Mail also published photos of Meghan in a parka, boarding a seaplane from Victoria, British Columbia, where she's currently staying, to Vancouver for the shelter visit. Paying for the relocation Earlier, an Angus Reid Institute survey said that despite Canadians' affection for the royal couple, a large majority (73 per cent) do not wish to foot security or other costs for their relocation. Nineteen percent said they'd agree to cover part of the costs, while only three per cent agreed with Canada paying all of the costs. Canadian media have estimated the costs of protecting Prince Harry and Meghan at approximately Can1.7 million (US$1.3 million) per year. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government has yet to take a position publicly on the matter, saying there are "discussions going on," while extending a warm welcome to the couple. The survey of 1,154 Canadians on Monday and Tuesday also found that while respect and affection for Queen Elizabeth II — Canada's head of state — is broad-based and strong, Canadians are "at a crossroads" over future ties with the monarchy. Most say the House of Windsor has lost relevance, while only 39 percent believe Canada should continue as a constitutional monarchy after the queen, who has reigned for 66 years, dies. Paradoxically, support for Prince Harry is much higher. He is viewed among Canadians as the most personally popular member of the royal family, with 69 per cent viewing him favorably.

Photo taken from Bollywood photographer Varinder Chawla InstagramBollywood stars Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor were spotted using public transport to avoid massive traffic jam and reach the shoot location timely. The pictures of Kartik and Janhvi travelling separately have been doing rounds on social media. The Pati Patni Aur Woh actor was snapped in a rickshaw last night and earlier travelling in a jetty to avoid Mumbai traffic. Using public transport to avoid massive traffic jam by Bollywood celebrities has become the new trend in B-Town. Photo taken from Bollywood photographer Varinder Chawla InstagramToday, Janhvi Kapoor was also spotted travelling in a rickshaw to reach the shoot locations. According to Indian media, Mumbai traffic was the main reason that forced the B-Town celebrities to travel in public transport.
  4. Yes, you read that right, a “USB Condom” does exist even though it is probably the worst phrase you may have heard in the technology space. It is a device that prevents your smartphone at public charging points from transferring data. It can also be termed as a USB “data blocker” and is officially called the PortaPow 3rd-gen USB data blocker. © PortaPow It costs around Rs 500 and has the ability to kill all data transfers as it removes any data transfers by obstructing the connection physically. This device prevents scammers from phishing at public charging points as a way to steal data from users. One needs to simply attach the PortaPow data blocker to the charging end of a cable and then plug it into the smartphone. © PortaPow Scammers or hackers use “juice jacking” as a method to copy sensitive data or install malware on smartphones, tablets and other smart devices. In other cases, scammers have been able to install ransomware on smartphones and lockout users from their own devices unless the demanded ransom is paid. Scammers have also gone to the extent of leaving charging cables at these public charging points to target users who have forgotten their own cables. If you really do care about your own privacy or do not want any malware on your phone, Rs 500 is a very small price to pay. However, this data blocker is not compatible with USB-C devices. So, until the company releases a new one soon, you can get another adaptor to make it compatible with your existing devices. View the full article

  6. On one side, we have a critically acclaimed, seasoned and beloved cricket commentator and sports journalist Harsha Bhogle, who's been an integral part of the Indian cricket fraternity for just a little under three decades now. On the other, we have this man named Sanjay Manjrekar, a so called 'cricket analyst' who not only (mind my words here) sucks at analysing the game and its players on a regular basis but can be seen insulting some of the biggest legends of the sport from time to time as well. © Twitter And while the fans of Indian cricket usually take his comments as that of an angry, misguided teenager, who's lost his way, Manjrekar crossed the line when he openly insulted Bhogle's expertise during the second Test match between India and Bangladesh at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. During the game, Bhogle asked for an analysis of the first ever pink-ball Test that both India and Bangladesh played for the first time in their entire cricketing history. He opined that the players must be asked for a review on the visibility of the pink-ball and if they struggled in sighting it. Was that an invalid opinion? No. Was it irrelevant to the game? No. Did it, in any form or shape, insult Manjrekar and his mountain-sized ego? Not really. But still, the former Indian middle-order batsman felt the need to insult the esteemed commentator for doing his job, which by the way, Manjrekar is now getting paid to do as well. "Only you need to ask Harsha, not us, who have played a fair bit of the game," Manjrekar said in his usual arrogant yet ignorant tone. Clearly the fans took notice of the cricket analyst's condescending tone and let the man get an earful: Today you misbehaved with Harshað — Mohit Sharma (@mohitsharma13__) November 24, 2019 the Indian fans wish you were out too to never return to the comm box. — Cricweet (@BeingCricketMad) November 24, 2019 It is this incredible smugness that makes #SanjayManjrekar the worst possible broadcaster in the history of the game. Unreal arrogance combined with a total ignorance about his own pathetic quality as a commentator. A public apology to #Harshabhogle is the least he can do. https://t.co/m5hAnceFAa — Arunabha Sengupta (@senantix) November 24, 2019 U were right @bhogleharsha. Nothing wrong in asking the batsmen from both teams. Good to know the opinion.@sanjaymanjrekar u were rude.U dont know how to talk to ur fellow commentator even if he didnt play the game. How many matches did u won for IND? Watch ur language!#INDvBAN — Madhur Stark ð®ð³ (@MadhurShrotri) November 24, 2019 Really didn't expect that from you @sanjaymanjrekar A player turned broadcaster who knows the difference between the two professions. You were almost questioning Bhogle's credentials to voice his opinion. It didn't sound good. — Narayanan S (@narayanantweaks) November 24, 2019 Based on his previous endeavours, to ask Manjrekar to make a public apology is like hitting your head on a brick wall. He will admit that he was wrong, but will make a cheesy, non-hilarious joke about the whole scenario, listen to some more criticism for that joke and just move on. But he won't apologise. At least that's what he did with Ravindra Jadeja when he called him a “bits and pieces” player at the time of the ICC World Cup 2019 and Jadeja went on to smash a thunderous half-ton against New Zealand in the semi-finals. "By bits 'n' pieces of sheer brilliance, he's ripped me apart on all fronts."@sanjaymanjrekar has something to say to @imjadeja after the all-rounder's fantastic performance against New Zealand.#INDvNZ | #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/i96h5bJWpE — ICC (@ICC) July 10, 2019 Well played Jadeja! ð — Sanjay Manjrekar (@sanjaymanjrekar) July 10, 2019 But if he has learned anything from his past mistakes, it is his responsibility to apologise to Harsha Bhogle, one of the finest cricket commentators in the history of the game, in public. Even an apology tweet would do but if you've got the audacity to wrongfully challenge someone's opinion, you've got to have the stomach to apologise for it as well. View the full article

  8. Despite the decriminalisation of Article 377, LGBTQIA+ individuals struggle every single day to 'be themselves' out in the open and own their sexuality; unfortunately, just like the society struggles to let go of its judgements and biases. In spite of the law being on their side, at least partially now, they still have to face a lot of stigma, just because the society assumes every individual is heterosexual. To counter this, The Times Of India has launched a campaign called 'Times Out & Proud', through which the paper will offer the LGBTQIA+ community free space in its classifieds for three months. © TOI The campaign started on the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, and it aims at making daily life easier for the LGBTQIA+ community. The campaign is based on the rightful belief that sexual orientation and gender identities should not decide the stature of a person in society. © TOI Since newspaper is one of the most basic and primary public spaces which is shared by every section of the society equally, the Times Of India decided that it's time to aggressively take progressive steps towards inclusion. As part of the campaign, the Times of India is offering the LGBTQIA+ community a free space in the classifieds section for three months. This is a safe space for the members of the LGBTQIA+ community to not just look for a house, a job or a partner, but a medium through which they can share their stories publicly. The classifieds are simply a platform that the campaign provides to the LGBTQIA+ community to voice their stories. © TOI The campaign has been launched through a film featuring the lives and struggles of different people from the LGBTQIA+ community. One can visit the campaign page to watch the film and join the campaign as well. Hopefully, this step will prove to be a path-changer, when it comes to creating awareness and bringing in non-judgemental attitudes. © TOI If you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or want to support a LGBTQIA+ friend or relative, share your stories in 50 words to outandproud@timesgroup.com, and it will be printed free of cost for the first three months. To join the movement and to share your thoughts and views, use the hashtag #TimesOutAndProud Watch the campaign video here:
  9. I've had this similar conversation dozens of times in the recent past when someone has taken an interest in what I do. Person: So what does Invision Community do? Me: We develop and sell an independent community platform. Person: Oh. Neat. I used to say the F word. But this used to cause some confusion. 'We develop and sell a forum system'. This used to elicit a response similar to this: "Forums? They're still going?" This line of thinking is quite prevalent among those who frequent Facebook, or use Facebook Groups to manage their micro communities. Even though they probably use forums regularly, or end up on forum topics when searching for things like "Why is my iPhone not charging", they don't realise this. I recently guested on a podcast, where we spoke about "Facebook or Forums?", and I received this comment. It appears, then, that the word "forums" has a lot of legacy connotations attached to it. It conjures up images of the past when Netscape Navigator was the world's favourite browser, and AOL was still mailing out CDs. That is all ancient history now, and we've moved with the times. The product we have now has roots in the product from the early 2000s but it is wildly different and much more capable. When you explain that you can segment discussions into separate areas (aka forums), and even set up independent micro-communities (clubs), you can see lightbulbs going off. "That's amazing! I had no idea! So you mean I don't have to have my community in a single stream struggling for attention among adverts?" Nope, there is another way. Why not try an independent community platform? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Do you avoid the F word too?
  10. Life can throw you a curveball when you are least expecting it, but what do you do when the ball hits you smack in the face when you are sleeping, and realise upon waking that you are still living a nightmare? Something very similar happened to a 20-year-old poor Taiwan dude, Lin Chin-hsiang who fell asleep behind the wheels after a tiring day at work, and woke up to a bill of whopping £310,000 (or Rs. 2,74,86,944.43 crore to be exact). © YouTube The young guy, had dropped out of college to work and earn for his family was returning back home after a long night shift when the incident took place. Lin's father died five years ago, and he had since taken the responsibility to earn for the family and worked at a local barbeque restaurant, to help his mother with the finances, who herself runs a incense and worship trinkets shop. As per a BBC report, when Lin arrived home at 3 am on Sunday, he found out that his mother was unwell, and hence decided to drop off an order for her at a temple. Around 5 am in the morning, Lin dozed off at the wheels and smashed his car into three Ferraris parked on the roadside. © Twitter Now comes the best part. Lin's situation has received an outpouring of public sympathy, and many have approached the young man with offers for donation. We hope all goes well for Lin, and he finds himself out of this mess very soon.
  11. Since we have cabs, autorickshaws and metros at our perusal, which have made traveling so convenient, that at times we forget that there are places where people don't have access to any of these. In some parts of the country, people still walks miles to reach the nearest bus stop to take a bus. Whether it's safe to take a public transport is still a concern for many parents and due to this, many girls either drop out from colleges or face problems of travelling in a public bus. But, thanks to this selfless couple, things have now changed for good for a lot of college girls. © TOI/Anindya Chattopadhyay In 2016, a pediatrician Rameshwar Prasad Yadav and his wife Tarawati were driving to Churi, their village in Rajasthan. On their way, they gave a lift to four girls standing on the road in pouring rains. While talking to them, the couple came to know that they usually walk 3 to 6 km on a hot and dusty road, to get to the bus stop to reach their college in Kotputli (which is about 18km away). © TOI/Anindya Chattopadhyay "The boys misbehave with us on the bus," one of the students told the couple and this story touched their hearts. So they decided to do something for them and every other girl who might have been facing a similar problem. When the doctor's wife asked him if they can do something for the girls, he asked "If our own daughter was alive today, how much would we have spent on her education and wedding?" "Around Rs 20 lakh," she said. That's when the doctor decided to buy a bus for them. He took Rs. 17 lakh from his general PF (75% of the total) and added Rs. 2 lakh from his savings. That's not even the best part, this bus provides free rides to and from college to the girls from Churi and the villages of Pawala, Kayampura Baas and Banethi. © TOI/Anindya Chattopadhyay Yadav's wife Tarawati says, "After our daughter's death, there was a sense of loss. But now there's a feeling of fulfillment." Yadav invited the four girls, who inspired him to come up with this ingenious idea, to inaugurate it. Yadav, who lost his daughter when she was just six-months old, said, "We wanted a daughter but had three sons thereafter. Now, I feel I have 50 Hemlatas." Thanks to this 'nishulka beti vahini', girls are showing up for the class in larger numbers and don't have to face the daily harassment and discomfort anymore. With this service, the families of the girls too feel at peace and assured about their safety. © TOI/Anindya Chattopadhyay To pick up a bus driver was another task and for this, Yadav asked the parents of the girls to pick the driver they preferred. In fact, the driver has been given instructions not to let any male step inside the bus, including Yadav. He said, "Once when driving the girls home, he ignored me on the road. I rewarded him Rs 100." Yadav also said, "I want the bus to motivate others to do positive things and discover the joys of giving." If only more people think and act like this couple, the world will become a better place to live in. Source: TOI
  12. Seen by many as an attempt to clean up his image post the spot-fixing scandal of 2013, following which the BCCI banned him from cricket for life, Sreesanth's foray into the 'Bigg Boss' house has only further tarnished his reputation. Right from day 1, controversy has followed Sreesanth even inside the infamous reality TV show, now in its 12th season. © Colors Be it his inability to cope with conditions inside the house, prompting him to threaten to leave the show on many an occasion, to his ongoing fights with several of the housemates, including non-celebrity Surbhi Rana, whom he disrespected grossly (by showing her the middle finger along with putting her down by stating that he had been paid in crores to appear on the show) whilst serving out a sentence in the Bigg Boss jail, Sreesanth has proved that not only does he have a massive ego (that needs to be constantly massaged, as has been done by TV actor Dipika Kakkar, who coddles him despite his angry outbursts and unreasonable expectations), but also does not know how to play fair(big surprise!) or participate sportingly in challenges. The final straw being the incident where he spat on the name of a fellow contestant and small-town singer Deepak Thakur, and then refused to acknowledge his mistake. © Colors Sreesanth has actively pissed off quite a few of the housemates, who have swiftly discarded their admiration for the former sportsman, and are now seeing him for the less than perfect human being that he actually is. His homophobic comments about new wildcard entry, TV actor Rohit Suchanti, have sunk Sreesanth to a new low, prompting ex-Bigg Boss contestant Vikas Gupta to call him out on his behaviour. Commenting on Rohit's choice of donning purple coloured shorts, Sreesanth drew up an analogy between clothing & sexual orientation, implying that Rohit is effeminate because he is wearing purple coloured shorts. However, what's even worse is the implication that Sreesanth considers the LGBTQ identity as something to be mocked. Funnily enough, in the subsequent scenes in the same episode, Sreesanth himself is seen sporting different outfits in shades of purple. © Colors Throughout his time on the popular reality TV show, Sreesanth has been emerging as the type of person who is guided by selfish interests, and someone who doesn't stand up for what he believes to be right and just. Instead, he is coming across in a negative light, lying & bullying his way through the competition, picking on the non-celebrity participants in every opportunity he gets, either through physical intimidation or constant reminders of his “celebrity” status. © Colors Despite having been given the advantage of being in the 'Bigg Boss' outhouse for several days (from where he could view the exchanges between the other housemates in his absence), Sreesanth has done little to mend his image, and continues to act like an entitled little child, who resorts to throwing a fit every time he doesn't get his way. Definitely not what we expected from this former National-level cricketer!
  13. The hearsay around Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora's alleged relationship had been gaining a lot of momentum over the past couple of months. But it looks like the couple has gone public with their relationship. Arjun and Malaika were recently spotted holding hands at the Milan airport, and the photo has since gone viral on social media. From attending the Lakme Fashion Week together, to getting clicked at parties as a couple, they had been feeding people's curiosity thus far. © Twitter Recently, Arjun even came on 'India's Got Talent' to promote his latest film 'Namaste England', where Malaika is a judge. They were seen holding hands on the show as they got on the stage with a participant. Yet, the duo never came forward to shed light on their relationship. © Twitter However, this time, when Malaika was in Italy over the last week to celebrate her 45th birthday, the couple decided to board the same flight back home. Even as they constantly tried to avoid the paparazzi, one seemed to have sneaked up on them. This celebrity tabloid caught the couple indulging in a very simple romantic gesture of holding hands as they strolled around the airport. We wonder if an official confirmation will follow soon.
  14. Every few months, we see a brand ambassador messing up, and the most common blunder is seeing a person market a phone from Company XYZ while actually using an iPhone. Just recently, we saw Gal Gadot tweet about the Mate 10 Pro, from her iPhone. This particular failure has been periodically popping up since years, and the brands have a hard time dealing with it. Back in the days, BlackBerry had gotten Alicia Keys onboard as their brand ambassador and caught her tweeting from an iPhone, while endorsing BlackBerry. © The Mirror Samsung has had its fair share of similar disasters as well. At the Note 10.1 launch in 2012, Kate Upton showed up with her iPhone and actually posed with it for the press. Now, Russian TV personality Ksenia Sobchak is being sued by Samsung for violating a brand ambassadorship contract that specifies she must use the company's phones exclusively. According to The Mirror, Sobchak was spotted using an iPhone X during a television interview, and she was attempting to hide the competing brand's phone under a piece of paper. Obviously, the cameras were rolling and everyone saw the debacle unfold. She was even seen using the iPhone X at social events in Moscow. © The Mirror Samsung isn't happy and wants celebrities to take the contract and the Ambassadorship seriously. Sobchak is now being sued for 108 million Russian rubles (US$ 1.6 million) for the breach of contract. The South-Korean giant has previously paid celebrities like musician Adam Levine and tennis star David Ferrer to use Samsung smartphones, unfortunately even these two were caught red-handed with iPhones in the public. © Huawei Sobchak has been often called the "Russian Paris Hilton," and is reported to be the goddaughter to President Vladimir Putin. Her father, Anatoly Sobchak, is considered to be Putin's mentor. Her representatives are yet to give official statements and the social media is buzzing. It'll be interesting to see how things unfold in Russia, given Sobchak's close political ties. The bigger question remains, why are celebrities so addicted to their iPhones that they can't keep it aside even after being paid loads of money? Source: The Mirror
  15. In 1968, American poet and activist, Muriel Rukeyser was quoted asking a very pertinent question- "what would happen if one woman told the truth about her life? The world would split open". The relevance of this quote today is unimaginable, with regard to the #MeToo movement. Women have been stepping out from years of sexual abuse and harassment and speaking boldly about facts they've been ruminating over, for ages now and that's what has made this movement powerful. Their previously unheard voices. © Twitter But we mustn't mistake this movement to be concentric to the urban elite or the upper middle class or the rich and the famous. Although, yes, the genesis was from Hollywood and it rippled all the way to Bollywood, it has also impacted smaller circles, cities and small town as well. Over the last couple of weeks, we've seen women bravely speak out against men with positions of power and take the storm head on. But there have also been women amidst us, who've spoken up against their not-so-known perpetrators, in the same capacity as the women who've spoken about prominent figures in society and it's their story too. What I am getting at is, the #MeToo movement might have been a wake-up call for the rich and the famous but the phenomenon hasn't stopped there and it has surely trickled down and made its way through the urban divide as well. © Twitter To classify #MeToo as a movement just for celebrities and figureheads is entirely unfair. Smaller fractions of society are feeling the heavy weight of the movement upon them too and women have come together to stand up for one another. Even though the movement is running parallel in two strata's of society, a lot of similarities in understanding and responding to the movement can be seen. The most obvious one is most men being in denial vicariously and unapologetically. © Twitter Another similarity to observe here is the fact that women are unanimously polarising the effect of the movement in a very concerted way, to say the least. Men and women alike are heading in a direction that I would like to call as the 'new world gender order', or at least the brink of it. No, I am not talking about any totalitarian government but a unique and precise gender identity that's taking precedence now. Gender roles are more defined, regardless of caste and creed. And it's only possible because an entire country is marching up and confronting the movement head-on, and not just a single strata of society. © Twitter According to a visualisation of the Google trends data, which shows the top cities searching for the #MeToo movement around the world, India tops the list. It's actually true. I don't know if it's because we're a heavily populated country and the search for these cases is more prevalent here or because patriarchy and basic conditioning is so deep-rooted in our upbringing, that everyone relates to the movement more substantially. NASA actually captured an image, as they did of India on Diwali, showing India as most lit up on the entire globe, corroborating the reach and the momentum of the movement, so to speak. Surprisingly though, Google hasn't listed Delhi, Bengaluru or Mumbai as the cities that are searching for #Metoo movement online, but you'll see Chicalim in Goa, Bhusawal in Maharashtra, Zirakpur in Punjab and Bhanwreli in Chattisgarh topping the search. While the movement is in full flow in bigger cities, smaller towns are actively trying to contribute to the movement too, by reading up as much of it, as they can on it. Statistically, rapes and cases of sexual harassment and assault are more prevalent in smaller towns and villages and this is the best piece of education the internet can impart, to women especially, who are subjugated to these crimes in the past, or the present and want to be heard. © Twitter Having said that, women in bigger cities, working in regular 9-5 jobs are also getting together and calling men out for their behaviour. They're forming smaller groups to fight for the movement together to bring the perpetrators out in the open. So, to be fair, calling the movement a movement for the 'privileged' is absolutely unfair. Anyone who has a voice can come forth and talk about their story, openly while knowing the consequences of openly talking about it, will always favour anyone who decides to do it.
  16. Often considered the best player of his generation and regarded by many as one of the greatest players of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo needs no introduction to football. The Portuguese has won 26 trophies in his career including five league titles, five UEFA Champions League titles and one UEFA European Championship. For someone who has scored over 670 senior goals for club and country, it's not surprising at all to see Ronaldo boasting of a record-tying five Ballon d'Ors. Needless to say, Ronaldo has won almost everything there is in football. But, despite that, the 33-year-old is still hungry for more success - a trait that sets him apart from other footballers. It was his hunger to overcome financial adversities that saw him emerging from the Portuguese island of Madeira and taking over the football world with his impeccable skills. At a time when his arch-rival Lionel Messi was leading the Ballon d'Or race with four wins against Ronaldo's one, it was his hunger that pushed him to level the proceedings at five wins apiece. © Reuters And, as it turns out, that same hunger echoed inside the Real Madrid dressing room as Ronaldo delivered an inspirational speech to his teammates ahead of their UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool last season. History was on the line as Madrid aimed to become the first-ever football club to record three successive UCL title wins in Kiev. Seeking some encouragement and wisdom, Madrid turned to their talisman Ronaldo who told his teammates: "It's time to win, not to play". Urging his teammates to put everything on the line, Ronaldo added, "Let's run and fight, and then our quality will show." "It's worthy dying tonight to make history. We will be the first with three titles: play, win and make history. C'mon!," Ronaldo said in his motivational speech, which was caught in the recently-released documentary 'In the Heart of the Decimotercera' where Madrid re-lived another successful Champions League campaign. While Ronaldo couldn't get his name on the scoring-sheet, his words eventually inspired Los Blancos to a 3-1 win over Liverpool and allowed them to create history as the first club to win three consecutive Champions League titles. Savouring their historic win, Madrid were dealt with a big blow after Ronaldo dropped the bombshell about his desire to move away from Santiago Bernabeu right after their win in Kiev. Since then, Ronaldo has moved to Turin-based Juventus and is currently seen plying his trade in Italy, while Madrid saw Julen Lopetegui taking over the reins from Zinedine Zidane as their new manager.

  18. Talk of good looks, good looks and good looks (in the words of Kareena Kapoor) and there's no way in hell Nick Bateman won't cross your path. The Canadian model and actor (now living in Los Angeles) is a rather celebrated name in the Hall Of Handsome Men, thanks to the year 2014, when he gained millions of Instagram followers, overnight. Reason? His face, his uploads, his lifestyle, his beard — that caught the fancy of men and women alike. While the females wanted a piece of him, the men — well, the men just wanted to look like him. It was quite a fair deal. Fast-forward to 2018, the genetically-blessed human is now in India, to attend the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive'2018 (that's scheduled for the 22nd to 26th of August). Snapped arriving into the country last night, we spotted the good-looker in a F/W ensemble, but in the S/S weather of the movie capital. Little did he realise! Giving him the benefit the doubt though, since he's from across the sea, let's just say — he wasn't aware. © Viral Bhayani But, to be honest, while the ensemble wasn't appropriate for landing into Mumbai, India — it wasn't a droop either. And on a side note, this could be his way of layering up for the A/C blast aboard or even at airport terminals of his connecting cities. Don't we all like to cosy up anyway? Let's just give this a pass. The outfit consisted of a solid-black T-shirt, black knee-ripped jeans, a long, distressed olive green hoodie and brown ankle-length boots. He topped things off with rings on the fingers and a few quick rounds of pieces around the neck. Quite a winning outfit for ease of movement! © Viral Bhayani But as we said, since it wasn't the most appropriate style-move for the season, the guy was quick to strip, in public. In no time, he slipped out of his hoodie, giving us a sight of his black tank top beneath (which earlier just looked like a black T-shirt), also putting his big guns on display. Now, that's a Spring/Summer piece reserved with Bollywood biggies! Going by that theory — looks like, Bateman knew what he was going for here. © Viral Bhayani In conclusion, maybe not season-appropriate (however, global travel-ready), Nick Bateman's airport style is damn near perfect. Minimal, functional and easy to take off. The latter's key, right?
  19. A casual encounter with India transformed into a longlasting love affair for Gabriella Demetriades, who never imagined she would come to call the subcontinent her second home in the near future, since her first visit to the country in 2009. A South African model, she now has another title added to her crown, that of a designer and a successful entrepreneur whose designs have been sported by some of the leading names in the fashion and film industry. A beauty to behold, with sculpted features and green eyes gorgeous enough to leave you spellbound, she wears many hats, steals as many hearts and rocks at everything she decides to put her mind to. When It All Began © Facebook Having been to India once before, Demetriades found herself back in the hustling 'n' bustling country in 2011 for a modelling contract that spanned over three months. However, we must tell you and perhaps also refresh your memory as to where else you might have spotted this beauty before. She first came into the limelight when she auditioned for Miss IPL Bollywood in 2009. She also happens to be one of the contenders for FHM magazine's '100 Sexiest Women In The World'. Having been the face of Deccan Chargers as well as also having been a Miss IPL Bollywood representative, she caught the eyes of spectators who then chose her to represent Kolkata Knight Riders. Thus began her ride to glory. Not All That's Rosy, Is Pretty © Facebook Like every big name in the making, Demetriades had her share of hiccups and the most memorable one has to be when she made national news back in 2010. She found herself amidst a tiff between businessman Lalit Modi and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor over certain disagreements involving the model's visa, which made Gabriella find her way to the headlines. The episode left her parents worried but the former model claims that she didn't feel scandalised even for a moment. Whatever the actual cause, we presume it did some good to her career in terms of publicity and recognition. The High Life © Facebook Cut to 2016 when the model donned the hat of a designer and launched her own clothing label 'DEME'. With some of the prominent industry bigwigs attending her store launch in Bandra, Mumbai her entrepreneurial journey got a kickass start. 20. Thanks to global style kings (+ trends like normcore and laziness), there's now a sudden insurgence of loungewear in public. It's now publicly acceptable to creep what you wear to bed into your outside world-style, without having the fashion-backward folk judging you. It's a great time to be alive, we'd say! Following the exact same spirit, a lot of famous Indian men like Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan are already slipping into track pants for their snooze fest and right after waking up, stepping out without a wardrobe change. That's just how they've now started to live their lives. For Varun Dhawan however, it's more about breaking away from just wearing track pants; he wants to wear some dope track pants instead (that one would actually be proud of flaunting in public). So, at the trailer launch of 'Sui Dhaaga', the multi-gunned man did exactly that: © Viral Bhayani First off, let's mention, that track pants happen to be really slimming for anyone they're put in touch with. Plus, you don't even need to pair them with flip-flops or any kind of open footwear, you can turn to clunky, dad-like shoes instead, like the Balenciaga Triple S' Varun Dhawan has opted for here: © Viral Bhayani And now, let's break this pair of track pants down here. Factually, these belong to the brand 'Palm Angels', a brand that offers a dose of American style with graphics and playfulness of the global streets, like Varun Dhawan's Rainbow track pants here, that are made of 100% polyester. It's a mid-rise pair, with ribbed knits around the collar, cuffs and hem, zipper in the front, zippered pockets on the side and printed logo right in the front. © Palm Angels The pair retails at a cost of $68, that's approximately Rs. 4,700. Not a whopping price, eh? But while that's just the MRP of the piece, the real result of wearing the piece lies in looking like a capital-F loungewear hero. Having said that, while Dhawan has styled the piece with a lot of corresponding star-attractions in the ensemble — the Triple S sneakers, printed bomber jacket (also from Palm Angels)— you don't need to. Besides the track pants, you can keep the rest of the separates minimal and neutral, to ensure the rainbow trim of your bottoms stands out. © Viral Bhayani Takeaway: if you're looking for your next outfit-inspo, in all probability — you're already wearing it in bed. Else, log onto your Instagram, stalk The Vainglorious (celebrity stylists- including Varun's), because that's where terrific fashion happens first.
  21. How many times have you walked to your movie hall and stopped midway to check out a movie poster? I do that all the time and I love everything about them. The graphics, the text and of course, the little ambiguous giveaways of the movie mentioned. Posters are usually graphic pieces of art, which are bold and daring in nature. A good movie poster has the artist's work immersed deep in it and the creative license does demand a lot of credit. Horror movie posters have some extra creativity to make sure the audience quivers with the graphic images on them. Some of them are so graphic, that you'd not want to look at it again! © Tristar Pictures Right now, the content on most horror movie posters has been dialled down a notch, but back in the day, some posters were so graphic, that parents and religious groups protested to have them taken down, for the sake of not terrorising the kids. Here's a list of banned horror movie posters, and each and every one of them makes for an interesting piece of history, keeping its shock value in mind: Saw II (2005) 'Saw II' had an image of two severed fingers which the Motion Pictures Association of America (MPAA) was not too happy about. The image was eventually rectified by replacing the version of the severed fingers with longer fingers, so they wouldn't seem severed on the poster. Old Poster: © Lionsgate Films New Poster: © Lionsgate Films The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007) Okay, I am not sure why this poster was banned by the MPAA. The poster shows an entity dragging a body bag with a hand coming out of it, which is barely that scary! All they did later was replace the hand with a pair of legs! How is that any different? Old Poster: © Fox Atomic New Poster: © Fox Atomic Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) A remarkable poster to mark the end of the franchise and the death of Jason Voorhees, 'Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter' had quite a spine-chilling graphic on it. The iconic image of a knife going through the hockey mask defined the ending well but unfortunately, the poster was considered to be too extreme and the image was replaced with the hockey mask, with no knife at all. Old Poster: © Paramount Pictures New Poster: © Paramount Pictures Teeth (2008) Remember the movie? If you haven't seen it or heard of it, it's time. Although the concept is quite warped. It's about a girl who's sworn to chastity but she falls in love with a boy and when they get around to doing it, she discovers she's a living example of the vagina dentata myth (a vagina with sharp teeth). She uses that to her advantage and if anyone tries to act fresh with her, she dismantles his member through her vaginal teeth! Okay, I just gave the plot away but it's absolutely hilarious in the scariest way possible. The poster is a visual representation of the movie in a very funny, semi-cartoonish way and although the x-ray poster was quite innovative, it was not approved and had to be changed to something a little less uncomfortable. Yeah, a girl in the bathtub, naked, with her legs apart. Great job on making it a little less uncomfortable, guys. Old Poster: © Roadside Attractions New Poster: © Roadside Attractions Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) The poster was the 8th part of this franchise and was actually quite harmless and really simple too, depicting fairly well what the movie was about. It had Jason slashing his way through the classic 'I heart NYC' logo and that was the main problem. The New York Tourism Bureau was not happy with the way the logo was shown and since they had the copyright on it, they decided to not give the original poster the approval. It was later changed to Jason's mask towering over New York's skyline and that was an absolute awesome poster too. Old Poster: © Paramount Pictures New Poster: © Paramount Pictures Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) Silent Night, Deadly Night' was one of the most controversial horror movies to ever be made in the 80s and all the parents were dead against it. I mean, I don't blame them if Santa's going around town killing kids in the movie! The movie luckily survived a ban but the poster had to be changed. The original one had an evil man dressed like Santa holding an axe. Even though it was an animated poster, it was still taken down due to protests against it. It was later changed to 'Santa's' hand brandishing an axe, while he's making his way through the chimney *shudders*. Another one came out later which had a creepy looking reindeer with a red-light backdrop. I don't see the difference really. Isn't that Rudolph? Old Poster: © TriStar Pictures New Poster: © TriStar Pictures Final Destination: 5 (2011) The poster had a skull with knives coming out of it. Completely scary I agree, and that's why it was pulled off when the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received about 13 complaints from parents, saying their children were facing distress after viewing the poster at a local underground subway in London. It was later changed to the characters in the movie standing on a collapsing bridge. Old Poster: © Warner Bros. Pictures New Poster: © Warner Bros. Pictures

They probably didn't plan on staying there for more than an hour or so but as we all know, they emerged from there about two weeks later. 10th July is the day no one will ever forget, especially not them. After the whole ordeal, all of them were safely rescued and everyone celebrated the happy ending. It was truly a miracle that all 13 of them were safe and sound after two weeks in that cave. Reuters Now, it's been a week or so and all of them have recovered enough for their first public outing.
