Moments after MS Dhoni's shocking declaration that he will step down as captain of the Chennai Super Kings, Kasi Viswanathan, the franchise's CEO, addressed the pressing subject of the former skipper's future within the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ravindra Jadeja will be the CSK captain for the IPL 2022 and beyond, according to a CSK announcement, but there was no hint of what the future holds for the great Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the press release. View this post on Instagram Viswanathan stated that he does not expect that Dhoni's last IPL season will be in 2022, adding that the CSK legend had carefully considered his decision before relinquishing control of the team. The Chennai franchise, according to the CEO, has always respected whatever MS Dhoni has decided because he has been a pillar of strength for the team since the start of the competition in 2008. View this post on Instagram Dhoni will continue to be a pillar of strength, according to Viswanathan, and he will guide Jadeja and the rest of the team. He has made the decision because he expects a smooth transfer from him to Jaddu. He must have made the decision in the best interests of CSK as a leader and player who has always cared about the team. With Dhoni having retired from international and other forms of cricket, the IPL is the only remaining venue for MSD supporters to see their hero Thala in action and work his magic. View this post on Instagram However, if you are a true Dhoni fan, you would still be looking forward to at least one more year of 'Captain Cool' playing in the yellow jersey. Dhoni had stated last year at a felicitation ceremony that he intends to play his final IPL match in front of the CSK faithful at the MA Chidambaram, and given that this year's edition is being contested in Mumbai and Pune, expect Dhoni to come one last time next year. As weird as it sounds, Ravindra Jadeja’s Chennai Super Kings are scheduled to open the 2022 edition of the IPL while playing against Shreyas Iyer’s Kolkata Knight Riders at the world-famous Wankhede stadium on March 26, 2022. Men are conditioned to bottle up their feelings since childhood and when and if they do express how they feel, they are labelled 'whiny', a 'coward' or ‘not man enough’. This is one of the many reasons that men’s mental health goes unacknowledged and undiagnosed, let alone untreated. © Excel Entertainment However, with the conversation around men’s mental health picking the pace, more people are taking it seriously and making efforts to improve their mental health instead of brushing it off under the carpet. Someone on Reddit asked men who have come out stronger this year, what they did that helped their mental wellbeing. © Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Here is what men had to say about their experiences and how they successfully battled poor mental health with some healthy little things they did: 1. Letting Go Of Toxic People © iStock “Came to terms that I'm not good enough for some people anymore and if they wanted to go...it was time I let them go. There's only so much I can realistically control in my own life/world and I'm trying to come to terms with that rather than ignore it. Most important of all...I made a really good friend.” 2. Quitting A Draining Job“Quit the job I've worked in for 10 years that did nothing but make me miserable” 3. Picking Up A Healthy Routine“Started exercising consistently, taking cold showers, and mediating.” 4. Taking A Break © iStock “Took a gap year before getting into uni to heal a bit from depression, decided that animation was what I wanted to do rather than being a doctor so that's good.” 5. Social Media Detox“Deactivated Facebook.” 6. Realising Self-Worth“I decided to learn how to actually believe in myself in a healthy manner. Of course, it's a long way ahead of me but I'm so glad that I finally started. Also decided not to be so hard on myself. I wish the best for you all, lets keep up the good work.” 7. Seeking Help © iStock “Started in-person talk therapy. Getting heard, gaining perspective and learning new tools was incredible for my personal growth and mental health. Everyone could benefit from trying it at least once.” View the full article

There’s something different about Abhishek Bachchan that makes him stand out from his contemporaries. He has always been compared to his father Amitabh Bachchan which we feel is unfair as he has his space and he has given us praiseworthy performances in Yuva and Guru. It’s his honesty and humble nature that makes him a class apart and shows his perfect upbringing. View this post on Instagram In one of the interviews with Ranveer Allahbadia, Abhishek revealed how he had to drop out of college because his father Amitabh Bachchan was going through a financial crisis. Big B was on the brink of bankruptcy in 1999 when his venture, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd (ABCL), faced major losses. Amitabh had revealed that he owed Rs 90 crore to different people. Back then, Abhishek was studying in Boston and he chose to quit college in order to support Big B. View this post on Instagram Abhishek Bachchan bared it all out in The Ranveer Show podcast. He shared, “Well, truth be told, I left university -- I was studying at Boston University. I had declared my major as liberal arts, and then I majored in performing arts. And I left my education because my father was going through this really rough time, financially. He had started this business called ABCL.” Here’s the full interview: He further added, “I don't think I was qualified to help him in any which way, but I just felt that as a son, I needed to be around my father and help in whatever way. So I left my college and came back. I started helping him in his company.” Abhishek stated that his father told Yash Chopra that his films or business aren’t working in his favour, "Look, I don't have a job, nobody is giving me work anymore, my movies aren't working, and I've come to ask you to please give me a film to work in,” said Junior Bachchan. That was when he was offered Mohabbatein. He also began hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati and the rest is history. View this post on Instagram Recently, Brut shared a section of the video from the podcast and people started to troll Abhishek as they said at least he and his father had the privilege to talk to Chopra and others don’t have the luxury. Here’s the video: View this post on Instagram Here are the reactions: © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram We feel it’s unfair to troll him this brutally as he has bared his heart out in this conversation. On the professional front, he recently entertained his fans with his act in Diya Annapurna Ghosh's directorial venture Bob Biswas. Abhishek is playing the titular role in the spin-off to the 2012 film Kahaani. His character is inspired by Saswata Chatterjee's character in Vidya Balan's cult thriller. Social media was recently a battleground when people were debating and musing on the words of comedian and performer Munawar Faruqui who decided to quit comedy. “Goodbye, I'm done", he wrote after more than twelve of his shows got cancelled in a span of two months. After Bengaluru Police wrote to the organisers of the show to cancel it, he took to his social media account and exclaimed "Nafrat jeet gayi, artist haar gaya (hate has won, artist has lost). I'm done, goodbye. Injustice." View this post on Instagram After a lot of support and trolling pouring in for him, his latest social media post on Instagram suggests that the guy is tougher than the hate that came his way and he allowed the love of his fans to win him over. He posted a picture that reads “entertainment aata rahega” and that's enough for his friends, fans and supporters that he’s probably not quitting the comedy world. View this post on Instagram The image reads “Kuch rasta likh dega, kuch main likh dunga, Woh likhte jaaye mushkil, Main manzil likh dunga", and isn’t that one great line to keep going? The comments on his post are all about support and love, thankfully. © Twitter © Twitter Earlier last week, Munawar had received a lot of love from celebrities and his supporters who expressed solidarity and probably all that positivity finally seeped in. while no confirmations have been announced from his side, here’s hoping that he continues working for people who enjoy his work. Last month, Nawazuddin fans went into a frenzy when media headlines claimed that the actor was quitting OTT platforms for good. In his interview, he mentioned that OTT had become a ‘dhanda’ for production houses and that he was done with it. However, putting rumours to rest, in a recent interview with India Today, he addressed these tall claims and rubbished them as false rumours. He said that his words were actually taken out of context . "I am doing a lot of films for OTT. I am sitting here because of Netflix. OTT platforms have given us all international recognition. We get to showcase our talent there for the whole world to see. In my statement, I was talking about some production houses that randomly make anything. It was taken out of context and my intention was never to say that I want to quit OTT. I just don't want to do anything that looks like a serial”, he said. View this post on Instagram Nawazuddin is currently riding high on international success and has been nominated for ‘best actor’ at the International Emmy Award for his outstanding performance in Netflix series Serious Men. He plays the character of Ayyan Mani, a Dalit man and Nawazuddi has been very vocal about how his personal experiences helped him play this role. “Your experience speaks a lot when you are performing. Whenever you are playing a character, you have to relate to it in some way. I come from a very small village and eventually moved to a big city. So, the life experience that I got in between is something I often go back to while playing a character. I have met thousands of people. I feel it is an advantage because it supports me with the characters I play”, he quipped. He also mentioned that the angst and struggle faced by his character is something that he has already felt in real life. Well, it’ great to know that we shall continue watching him on OTT platforms and it's not the end of an era for his fans. View the full article

In the last couple of months,Virat Kohli has made some startling announcements that will change the course of Indian cricket in a big way in the years to come. Not only did the batter announce resigning from his post as the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore after IPL 2021, but he also confirmed that he will give up his Team India captaincy in T20Is after the T20 World Cup 2021. And while these announcements came as a sudden shock to a lot of people all over the world, it was something that the skipper had been thinking about over a long period of time and had even discussed with those close to him, including the former South African skipper, RCB teammate and one of his best friends, AB de Villiers. Virat Kohli to step down from RCB captaincy after #IPL2021 “This will be my last IPL as captain of RCB. I’ll continue to be an RCB player till I play my last IPL game. I thank all the RCB fans for believing in me and supporting me.”: Virat Kohli#PlayBold #WeAreChallengers pic.twitter.com/QSIdCT8QQM — Royal Challengers Bangalore (@RCBTweets) September 19, 2021 Feeling the pressure of commanding over too many things, Kohli said that he wanted to create a peaceful environment during the IPL and calmly move away from his current position as captain to focus on his performance as a batter. Ahead of his match against Delhi Capitals, Kohli explained his thought process about stepping down in a conversation with cricket analysts at Star Sports. View this post on Instagram "About this decision, I had spoken to AB in 2019. It's not new. With the IPL, I was always in a space where I wanted to create a peaceful environment. We had this discussion and then I thought we will give it one more year. A restructuring of the management happened and things were much better in 2020. I felt a little more relaxed in that stage," Virat Kohli said. Ever since assuming the position of the top guy as RCB in 2013, Kohli has managed to lead the franchise into the playoffs a total of four times (including IPL 2021) and has made it to the finals just once in 2016. The Bengaluru squad has never lifted the IPL championship, despite having some of the most aggressive batters and bet coaches in the history of modern cricket on their side. Virat Kohli and Ab De Villiers' celebration when RCB Won the match against DC on the last ball. #RCBvDC pic.twitter.com/hyN1tgsR4Y — CricketMAN2 (@man4_cricket) October 8, 2021 Having said that, the ongoing season of the Indian T20 league has seen RCB show a lot of promise. They have a unique mix of young talent and with the experience of some of the finest long-hitters, T20 cricket has seen. They have dominating bowling attack. And they have a skipper who is taken a lot of pressure off himself by announcing his resignation after this season. Will this be the winning combination that RCB have been looking for over the last 14 years? We shall soon find out as the IPL playoffs begin from Sunday with MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings taking on Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals in Dubai, followed by the contest between RCB and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday. A few weeks ago when the second season of The Family Man was released, the long wait to see Srikant Tiwari back in action was finally over, not disappointing fans in the slightest. The season followed a geo-political thriller taking us to the depths of Chennai and safe to say, kept us hooked till the very end. And while there were quite a few breathtaking sequences in the second season, one in particular that struck a chord with most of us was the one where a very frustrated Srikant Tiwari quits his job. © D2R Films Distraught with the problems he had been having at his home with his wife Suchi (aka the most hated female character on Netflix after Tokyo from Money Heist), Srikant is falling short on submitting his TPS reports when he gets irked by the likes of his pain-in-the-ass boss. What follows is an intense and one of the most beloved scenes from the season, where Manoj Bajpayee’s character grabs his boss by the collar, beats the annoyance out of him and quits. In style. And oh, man it was ever so satisfying for the fans to watch, considering we’ve had our own days we wanted to follow his lead. But before we draw inspiration from Srikant’s kamikaze style of quitting his job, here are a few things to keep in mind: 1. Figure Out Your Finances © iStock Nothing gets on your nerves like an infuriating and micromanaging boss, so much so that he makes quitting your job seem like the only respite. And while the urge to scratch that itch might be real, don’t do it before taking a look at your finances. Always ensure to have enough to fall back upon and keep you afloat till you find your next job. 2. Make Use Of Your Benefits © iStock Now that you have decided to put in your papers and slam out the door, it’s worth doing all of that after availing a few benefits while you still can. Whether it is getting your free health checkups done one last time before bidding adieu or charging a farewell dinner on a client, make use of all your benefits. 3. Consider Getting A Professional Opinion © iStock A lot of factors other than your nagging boss could be adding to that urge to quit your job. And during times as uncertain as these, it is best to seek professional help and sit with a counsellor to discuss the decision to leave. Chances are they’ll help you see things clearer and if you’re lucky, sponsored by your company. 4. Make A Budget © iStock It might still be easy to let your emotions get the better of you and put in your papers, but what definitely won’t be worth it is paying your bills AFTER you push that 9-5 job away without a plan in place. Which is why, until you figure out what to do next, it is best to start making your budget and cut back on those extra expenses. 5. Don’t Burn That Bridge © D2R Films As fulfilling and gratifying as it may seem and even be, burning a bridge with your employer always comes with a list of cons. Keep in mind the possibility that you may need to cross paths in the future, and at that time, you wouldn’t want your boss to rain on your parade. So, unless you too have a backup of joining a secret task force once this is over, do not burn that bridge. View the full article

LG announced today that the company is quitting the smartphone business due to high losses in the mobile division. The company said in a statement that it will shut down the division to focus “resources in growth areas.” LG will now be focusing on electric vehicle parts, smartphone home products, robotics, artificial intelligence and B2B solutions. © LG LG will keep selling current smartphone models such as the Q-series, W-series, K-series, Wing and other models until the inventory lasts. The South Korean company will also provide service support and software updates for existing customers that will depend on the location of the customer. It is unclear which regions will continue to receive software updates at the moment and for which models. The company also said that it will work “collaboratively” with business partners and suppliers through this period of closure of the mobile division. The company will shut down the entire division by July 31st, however it will continue to sell smartphones until inventory lasts. At the moment, current LG owners do not have much to worry about as the company will continue to support smartphones that are already out there for now. The company will also provide repair services for these particular models after the deadline as well. © unsplash LG has been looking to sell its mobile phone business due to the division consistently making losses. The company tried to talk to potential buyers, however it did not pan out for the company. The South Korean giant was talking to at least two companies for the sale, however nothing materialised. LG faced fierce competition from Samsung and Chinese rivals that caused the company to suffer massive losses for the past six years. Even though LG showed off its rollable phone earlier this year at CES 2021, the company will now be focusing on the B2B aspect for other smartphone OEMs like Samsung and Motorola. Now that the company is shutting down the business, a rollable phone by the smartphone maker looks quite unlikely. View the full article

In this fast paced world running on the fuel of the magic of internet, anything and everything can possibly happen. Some people make billions, some unfortunate ones get locked out of their bitcoins, some find love and some sadly, fall prey to insane level of phishing attacks. Nidhi Razdan, one of the most famous faces in Indian media and NDTV’s ex-executive producer, hit the headlines last year when she announced that she was quitting the industry after 21 years of service after being offered a job at Harvard to teach journalism. She broke her silence today and surprised her followers on social media after confirming that it was in reality a ‘fake’ job offer and she ended up being a victim of a phishing attack. I have been the victim of a very serious phishing attack. I’m putting this statement out to set the record straight about what I’ve been through. I will not be addressing this issue any further on social media. pic.twitter.com/bttnnlLjuh — Nidhi Razdan (@Nidhi) January 15, 2021 Her Twitter feed is flooded with messages filled with regret and sympathy because obviously, this is no joke and indeed a personal sad news for anyone.
