  1. Gordon Ramsay assured fans that he has plans to do 30 more seasons of his hit reality show Hell?s Kitchen
  2. After Kevin Spacey, the actor who played the iconic role of Frank Underwood on the show House Of Cards, got called out by several women during the #MeToo movement and Havey Weinstein who even got convicted, people thought that others in the industry who were even remotely inclined towards exploiting women, would see this as a warning signal and back off. And of course, that was the narrative for a little while till everyone felt vulnerable and scared. However, back in the day, people weren’t called out as strongly as they are today, which made a lot of unfair and disgusting things simply get by. Like Gordon Ramsay, aka the British chef who even though is known for his impeccable cooking skills and taste in food, created quite a bit of a problematic image for himself in 2010 during an interview. As Ramsay appeared on Jay Leno Show along with the Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, he acted like the typical prototype of a guy we would dissect and discard on social media for his inappropriate conduct in this day and age. But because none of that was present in 2010, the chef didn’t stir as much of a controversy. However, the clip of the 2010 interview surfaced again and showed a rather desperate Gordon Ramsay, making uncomfortable remarks at Sofia Vergara and constantly trying to touch her, taking things a little too far. Gordon Ramsay is under heat for a resurfaced video with Sofia Vergara where he: - made multiple sexual innuendos towards her - touched her thigh - made her visibly uncomfortable https://t.co/7uXQYslGTP pic.twitter.com/YgMkrFos8S — E! News (@enews) January 9, 2019 During the interview as there was a slide show going on to show Sofia’s trip to Italy, Gordon Ramsay started to make some harsh comments, the kind that made all of us question his social etiquette. From commenting on how loud she’d be in bed to her enjoying a mouthful of pizza.. Gordon lost the plot and honestly, gave us more cringe than anything. Sofia on the other hand was classy all along, changing the subject or even diffusing the awkwardness with a laugh and saying ‘no touchy’, in a way to maintain her boundaries. As the clip went viral, fans have a lot of things to say. One fan wrote, “Sofia is the ultimate woman. Smart, sooo funny and witty, talented, bomb figure, gorgeous face, seems like a great mom, hardworking and doesn't get intimidated or feel invalidated by misogyny. These two had NO CLUE how to act around her." Yeah I was outraged during the whole video and couldn't bare to watch it for a second time — Christie (@kristyssam) January 9, 2019So it’s unacceptable now but wasn’t then.. People weird — Brandon (@Brandon_DGAF) January 9, 2019Another one said, “This has nothing to do with being a feminist, everyone who has an ounce of self respect and a sense of empathy can see that this crosses the line. I'm a man and I wouldn't want some random woman/man to invade my privacy like that, physically and verbally." In fact, fans even discussed how men other than the ones trying to make women feel this way are just as much at fault considering Jay Leno could have taken better care of the situation at hand and not let Sofia be in the position for the entirety of the show. View this post on Instagram Guess, Gordon Ramsay’s career was almost saved, thanks to Sofia Vergara’s class and well, the absence of social media’s call-out culture. However, if we were him, we’d still keep every step very carefully! View the full article

  6. No matter how great a chef Gordon Ramsay is, the Brit is popularly known for being very outspoken and often crossing the line when speaking to contestants on his show or people in general. © Reuters However, it feels like that the restaurateur and television personality might have even outdone himself this time around. According to reports, a newlywed couple has blasted the Hell's Kitchen executive producer after he reportedly gatecrashed their destination wedding with his production crew. Last month, the couple, Charlie Willis and Laura had spent a lavish sum of Rs 1,34,100 (£1,300) for their private beach destination wedding at Newquay town in England to celebrate the memorable day with their close friends and family. © iStock However, all went south when the occasion was disrupted by Ramsay and his television crew who arrived at the Lusty Glaze beach to film a segment of his new TV series Future Food Star. Now imagine you're trying to spend what could be the grandest day in your life and suddenly, you end up feeling like an extra on a film set. “The whole thing was a complete kitchen nightmare. We had both worked so hard to save for that day and we felt like extras on a game show," said Charlie, while speaking to a publication. According to the spokesperson of Lusty Gaze beach, the reason why the confusion occurred was that while the couple had booked a ceremony and meal on the beach, it didn't cover the cost of exclusive use of the area. However, following the incident, an executive producer from Ramsay's show reached out to the devastated couple and issued an apology. Later, Ramsay and his production crew even reimbursed the couple's wedding cost as a gesture of goodwill. Ramsay's producer Sharon Powers, while speaking to a publication said, “I am mortified that we affected your special day and I can assure you that it was never our intention to upset you or your guests. As you are aware, we have now paid for your wedding in full, which I hope goes some way towards making amends and acknowledging how sorry I am that your special day was affected, albeit unintentionally, by us. 7. DIY projects, new hobbies, makeup tutorials and homebrewed livestreams - feels like everyone is dabbling in something or the other to make up for their non-existent social lives, and home cooking is no exception. Thousands of accounts on social media have sprung up with users trying their best to relive the restaurant experience in their living rooms, but one eatery, in particular, seems intent on adding more spice and salt than the recipes originally asked for. Most of the fast-food chains we know and love have been incredibly supportive of fans trying to recreate everything from McDonald's burgers to Taco Bellâs Mexican delights - although Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) pulled a serious 180-degree handbrake turn and crash-landed right onto everyoneâs Twitter feeds - giving poor home cooks the 'Gordon Ramsay' treatment they never expected. Reply below your best homemade KFC with #RateMyKFC and Iâll score it out of 10. Disclaimer: Iâm more Ramsey than Berry. â KFC UK & Ireland (@KFC_UKI) April 6, 2020 They even give the efforts a score, although if most examples are to be judged by KFCâs standards, are pretty goddamn high. This is the saddest thing Iâve seen and Iâve watched the Futurama episode were the dog waits outside for Fry. 3/10. #RateMyKFC https://t.co/RGmSRgXliK â KFC UK & Ireland (@KFC_UKI) April 7, 2020 âExpired vegan mayoâ certainly wasnât a big hit with Colonel Sanders, no doubt. This is an absolute monstrosity. I feel ill looking at it, but by God I want it. 7.5/10. #RateMyKFC https://t.co/YqycnYzr1H â KFC UK & Ireland (@KFC_UKI) April 7, 2020 Still, quite a few took up the challenge in earnest, making thousands of followers hungrier by the second. As of yesterday, the leaderboard has been dominated by @blondiehaylz, whoâs crispy, golden-brown fried chicken earned her a stunning 9.5. So close yet so far.... Damn those 11 secret herbs and spices ð#ratemykfc @KFC_UKI https://t.co/W84DXiNfeH pic.twitter.com/12DGRSpnEq â hayley probert (@blondiehaylz) April 7, 2020 Close on her heels was runner-up @BlackBerryTina, whoâs bouquet of 8 chicken drumsticks is, from now on, my ideal Valentineâs Day gift - just sayinâ. Might make some kfc chicken later â Race card manufacturer (@BlackBerryTina) April 6, 2020 Think youâre up to giving it a try yourself? Fortunately, a dedicated fried chicken fan by the name of Dan Fell has spent the last 18 months searching for KFCâs elusive secret formula. After over a year of trying, heâs finally reached fried-chicken nirvana, claiming to have discovered a recipe as close as possible to the real thing. You wanted to know how to make #KFC at home. Hereâs my recipe which took me nearly 18 months to perfect. #thedarkKFC pic.twitter.com/gI12R3NDGD â Dan Fell ððð» (@TheKidLewis) March 28, 2020 Dan revealed his recipe, which includes five cups of plain flour, four tablespoons of paprika, two tablespoons of white pepper and garlic powder, one tablespoon of ground ginger, mustard powder, celery salt and black pepper, half a tablespoon of oregano and thyme and one-third of a tablespoon of sea salt. Hope youâve got that notepad ready. Iâve cooked this a huge number of times, you get better each time. Is say my strike rate for âmate you really cannot tell the differenceâ is about 4 out of the last five times. Iâll take that â Dan Fell ððð» (@TheKidLewis) March 28, 2020 Once the flour and seasonings are added together, he uses three parts of the mix to one part of self-raising flour, before giving the chicken an egg wash and rolling it in the seasoning before frying it in hot oil (162.5C, to be exact) for five to six minutes, popping it in a preheated 80C oven for batch cooking and then giving a final 90-second fry before serving. Sounds like a lot of work, but perhaps thatâs what it takes to get a perfect score from KFC. Just remember that if youâre trying - the judges really donât hold back. View the full article
  8. After Gordon Ramsay, Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix's show, Gordon, Gino, and Fred: American Road Trip made a return this week, one of the episodes saw Gordon Ramsay receiving rather traumatic news. He discovered, through fellow show host, Gino that his daughter Tilly, 18, was on a date at his London restaurant, Heddon Street Kitchen, with Gino's son Luciano. Take a look at the hilarious video here. View this post on InstagramHow NOT to let Gordon Ramsay find out youâre dating his daughter ð¬ð Gordon, Gino & Fred: American Road Trip, Thursdays at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub @gordongram @iamginodacampo @fred_sirieixA post shared by (@itv) The phone call took place when Luciano decided to check up on his dad Gino, who had been involved in an accident while travelling through Mexico. During the FaceTiming session with each other, Luciano decided to tease both his dad, Gino, and Ramsay by saying "Do you know who I'm with?" before he moved the camera towards Gordon's daughter. Quite evidently, Gordon exclaimed, "What the hell? Tilly! What are you doing, Matilda?!" and was visibly annoyed with her. To which his daughter replied nonchalantly, "Oh, sorry. I must have forgotten." Fred, the third presenter of the show then decided to make things even more awkward by adding some cringe-worthy advice. He said, "it's OK to kiss on the first date, if you feel the urge, you've got to do it". "Mamma mia!" replied a livid Gordon. View the full article
  9. The day has come. The day has finally come where people got to roast the man who roasts people on a regular basis online. And, the best part is desi people got to do that. Yes, a Thai chef also did that last year, but this time it's special because it involves butter chicken. Basically, Gordon Ramsay posted a picture of what I feel like is the worst looking butter chicken I have ever seen. He wrote he was eating the dish at Heathrow and he can't get on a flight before enjoying this first. But, it doesn't look right - or appetizing at all, tbh - and you should know that, Gordon. Take a look yourself. Can't get on a flight from Heathrow without enjoying the butter chicken curry at @PlaneFood.... #readyfortakeoff @HeathrowAirport pic.twitter.com/OVsLtluRkl — Gordon Ramsay (@GordonRamsay) February 18, 2019 Where is the naan, or roti, or something? What is happening? But, this did give desi people a chance to roast him and honestly, you can't fight a desi person when it comes to something like butter chicken, you just can't. It died for nothing! Not fair to that chicken! #depressed https://t.co/fyyhFmT0GZ — Anubhav Dev (@Anubhav_Dev_AFC) February 20, 2019 Truly. You kidding, right? That just doesn't work. Yeah, bro, smh. It's papad btw.
  10. Being discriminated against because of any reason is one of the worst things ever. It becomes even more infuriating when that discrimination comes in the way of someone following their dreams and that kind of stuff can mess with anyone. Something like this happened to 18-year-old Louis Makepeace, who has dwarfism. He's a 3ft 10in tall chef who has been refused a place at Heart of Worcestershire College, where he was first accepted on a conditional basis. He claims college bosses branded him a “health and safety risk” to the other 14 pupils and would cause a “disruption” if he got under their feet. Wow, that's just downright disgusting. Imagine taking away someone's opportunity and also crushing them at the same time! He said, “We are supposed to have equality of opportunity, yet I'm not allowed to do something I love doing. They said I would be a health and safety risk and disruption to the other students and get in their way, which was really humiliating. It really has dented my confidence. How am I ever supposed to get the culinary skills that's going to get me a job in a catering environment?” We all know and love Gordon Ramsay as the hilariously brutal food critic on Twitter, but today one his tweets stood apart as being an incredible gesture. Someone brought Louis' story to his attention and he had the best response. @GordonRamsay Shame on Heart of Worcester College for being too short sighted pic.twitter.com/QwIbm61iyK — Filomena (@immac64) August 28, 2018 Here's what he replied. Disgusting attitude, I'd offer him an Apprenticeship any day. https://t.co/xYdfWJ7CLK — Gordon Ramsay (@GordonRamsay) August 28, 2018 I agree, this is a disgusting attitude and I really do hope Gordon follows up with his offer and make someone's life. A lot of people in the replies urged him to come through and follow up. Call him gordon x — aiki (@COSMlC_GAYS) August 28, 2018 Exactly. Shame on Worcester college for discrimination of Differently able people. — uday naganath (@UdayNaganath) August 28, 2018 Everyone deserves a chance. Do it! He will make a great chef, and will be a fantastic apprentice simply because he has the passion to do it. I really hope you give this young man a chance, and learning from you he could have a stellar career ahead of him. — Russell Nicol (@russ_nicol) August 28, 2018 The best! Gordon Ramsay you are absolutely the best ð — çiÄdemâï¸ (@cdmkapukaya75) August 28, 2018 Someone came out with the receipts. Also just to add to my tweet I have seen the kitchen classrooms at Worcester campus one of the classrooms has its own sections/workstations with everything you need to cook, counters/sink/stove they could put him in his own workstation out of the way very easily, no excuse. — Jordan Leaman (@Mr_JordanL) August 28, 2018 Louis' mom said that the course leaders claimed it wouldn't make sense for her son to do the course since he would “never be allowed to work in a restaurant anyway”. She added, “This just goes to prove they are wrong if Gordon Ramsay is coming out in support. Louis is a huge fan of his and we would be very interested in speaking to his people if he is serious about it. It has made his day just getting his backing.” Well, hopefully everything works out for Louis.
  11. Gordon Ramsay or Mrs. Doubtfire? The world may never know. The entire world knows Gordon Ramsay as the hard-headed chef who insults and abuses people like no one else can. And, everyone actually loves him for it, especially when he can get so creative with his insults. But, he finally decided to embrace his soft side and looks like that came with a wig, glasses, and a skirt. Oh, and fake boobs, really saggy fake boobs. FOX For an episode of MasterChef Junior, he hung out with a bunch of grandmas, so obviously he had to look the part. FOX And, it was a big hit with the children, as expected, who even roasted him. He greeted all the little contestants by saying, “Hello dears. As you can see I'm a little older.” To that, one of the kid replied, “And a girl.” Well, I think he's more of a woman. FOX Gordon went on, “I'm also a grandma guys. I can't remember if I'm supposed to do this alone, do we have another judge?”, which was followed by other judges entering, FOX Christian Bale who? This is the kind of transformation we actually want to see. Just look at him! Gordon the grandma!
  12. Superstar chef Gordon Ramsay revealed the secret of his success Monday, "I am the biggest pain in the ass in the world, because I want the best." The British cook said he was a stress junkie who needs to master whatever he does, whether in getting seven Michelin stars for his haute cuisine or sorting out failing restaurants in his television show "Hell's Kitchen". "I need to be at the coalface, I need to be where the heartbeat is, where there is that level of trepidation," he told the MIPCOM television industry gathering at Cannes on the French Riviera. "I need to be under pressure because pressure is healthy," said the chef, who is so famous for his use of the four-letter epithet that one of his shows was called "The F Word". Ramsay said had to be at the centre of the action when he was dropped into the Colombian jungle to shoot his new documentary, "Gordon Ramsay on Cocaine", which airs in Britain Thursday. "They told me they could shoot it all from above but I wanted to go right down onto the ground to understand how big the problem is," he said. "I don't do cocaine," Ramsay stressed. "I have a brother who is an addict and I lost an amazing young chef to cocaine." Dirty secret of cocaine He said the drug is the restaurant industry's "dirty little secret", and that he was once asked by customers to dust cocaine on top of souffles like icing sugar. The chef tested bathrooms in some of his own 31 restaurants for the documentary to see if cocaine was snorted in them. "I swabbed them and they came up positive, not just the customer toilets but the staff ones too." He said use of the drug is "out of control" and it "bugs the hell out of me" that there is sometimes almost a light-hearted attitude to it in Britain. "I don't want any more casualties (among his staff) and I don't want to throw them under the bus. I am there to help," he told delegates. Ramsay, who once aspired to be a professional footballer, has become a global broadcasting phenomenon with his shows like "Kitchen Nightmares" and "MasterChef" hogging 2,000 hours of screen time in the US alone last year. Ramsay said he never dreamt that he would end up on TV when he first came to Cannes 25 years ago as the cook on Australian media mogul Reg Grundy's yacht. The man behind such shows as "Wheel of Fortune" and "Neighbours" tried to encourage the then 25-year-old "spotty and anaemic chef" to try presenting. "But I wanted to strive for three Michelin stars. The foundations had to be set absorbing from the very best French chefs to understand that level of haute cuisine. For me the challenge has always been to bring things to their absolute best," he said.
  13. Gordon Ramsay participating in an epic cook-off is nothing out of the ordinary, but this particular episode was a little different, and very hilarious. Instead of facing off another professional chef, Ramsay went head-to-head with his friend, and ‘the second most competitive Brit on the planet' David Beckham. © Facebook/Gordon Ramsay For this week's episode of Gordon Ramsay's show ‘The F Word', he invited Beckham to his kitchen and both of them competed to see who could make the best risotto, and the competition was fierce, as you would expect from two people who are at the top of their respective fields. As soon as they began cooking, the two best friends started trolling each other continuously to throw the other one off, all in good fun, obviously. Beckham took at dig at Gordon saying "He's not a chef anymore, he's a TV host." © Facebook/Gordon Ramsay Ramsay just couldn't stop asking questions, which made an exasperated Beckham ask, "Are we going to talk all the way through this?" To that, Ramsay responded, "The idea is to talk as much as I can to put you off, hoping that your slip up, burn something, and I sneak in from behind and win." © Facebook/Gordon Ramsay Gordon further tried to irritate his friend by chopping really loudly, which made Beckham take a blow at him saying that his wife Victoria Beckham complained that the fish Gordon prepared for her last week was undercooked. The competition is heating up and these guys are not messing around. © Facebook/Gordon Ramsay Beckham even brought out the big guns and made a fancy pea puree. In the end, both dishes looked really good, but Beckham's asparagus and corn risotto looked a tad bit more appetizing than Ramsay's creamy crab risotto. But that's just going by the look of it. © Facebook/Gordon Ramsay For the final taste test, both of the dishes were presented to Muhammad Ali's daughter and former professional boxer Laila Ali. Praising both of the risottos, she ended up declaring Ramsay's dish as the winner. After all, he is the professional chef, obviously he won. But the most surprising part of the whole video was when he didn't drop a single f-bomb. Sorry, Becks. Watch the whole video here:
  14. CANNES: As a hired killer whose weapon of choice is a particular brand of hammer, Joaquin Phoenix delivered a short, sharp shock of a movie to close the Cannes Film Festival's main competition on Saturday. "You Were Never Really Here" is a taught, bloody thriller from Scottish director Lynne Ramsay whose reputation is such that she was allowed to enter the movie for the Palme d'Or without showing the selection committee a finished version. Ramsay, whose last movie, the high school massacre drama "We Need to Talk About Kevin", competed at Cannes in 2011, told reporters she was still editing "You Were Never Really Here", prompting one journalist to beg her not to cut too much from the 85-minute version shown to the press. "I didn?t want to bore you all at Cannes," said Ramsay whose movies all come in under 90 minutes. "There?s nothing worse than being at the end of this festival and watching a two-and-a-half-hour-long film that?s (got) self-indulgent scenes in it," she said, a description that could apply to many of the films screened this year. Variety's Guy Lodge, who said Ramsay may be the world's "greatest working filmmaker", called her new film "astonishing ... a stark, sinewy, slashed-to-the-bone hitman thriller far more concerned with the man than the hit". The film has drawn comparison's with the Martin Scorsese classic "Taxi Driver" due to the moral ambiguity of Phoenix's Joe who, like Robert De Niro's Travis Bickle, is a psychologically damaged military veteran who tries to save a sexually abused girl. "'Taxi Driver' is probably one of the movies that really made me want to be an actor, a particular type of actor, so I am sure that its influence (was there), but there was no conscious decision to do that (copy De Niro's performance)," Phoenix said, adding: "I thought we were making a comedy." With a reputation as one of Hollywood's most difficult stars when it comes to dealing with the media, Phoenix was remarkably forthcoming, thanking reporters for coming and staying on for autographs and selfies. During much of the news conference he placed a protective arm around Ramsay and rubbed her shoulders. Not all critics were glowing about "You Were Never Really Here". Ben Croll of website The Wrap called it "grimly violent and willfully oblique ... more of a collection of accomplished filmmaking moments than a wholly satisfying film". The Palme d'Or winner will be announced on Sunday when the festival concludes.
