After being in a relationship with actor Kangana Ranaut for about a year, her Raaz: The Mystery Continues co-star Adhyayan Suman has spoken about the kind of mental, emotional and physical toll it took on him to be around her. Now, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the 33-year-old actor has further opened up about having a toxic relationship with Ranaut and how difficult it was for him to get over that chapter of his life. “I think there is a lot that happened in that particular relationship, emotionally,” Adhyayan told to Bollywood Bubble. “Bohot saalon tak jo kuch cheezein hui (Whatever happened, for many years), it was very difficult for me to get over. ‘Why did I move forward with this?’, ‘Yeh maine allow kyun kiya (Why did I allow this to happen)?’”, he continued. “Eventually, the battle is not with the person, the battle is with yourself. And then you are constantly telling yourself ‘maine rok diya hota ya nahi kiya hota’, ‘maine kyun nahi baat suni’ (if only you had not done certain things or put a stop to them or listened to others),” he said, adding, “Of course, there was a humongous emotional turmoil there,” he told the portal. Adhyayan credits his father and another reputed actor of his time, Shekhar Suman as the voice of sense, logic and rationale during his time in turmoil. It was his father who had made him see reason in moving on and getting over a relationship when it wasn’t meant for two people to be together. Back in 2020, Suman’s name was once again dragged into the headlines when it was alleged that Kangana Ranaut was involved with substance abuse. Adhyayan had gone on Twitter to clarify that he had no intentions of getting involved such matters and would not want to dig up that part of his life.
