Every day we come across bizarre news from around the country that leaves us amazed. For example, recently a Madhya Pradesh BJP leader claimed that eating eggs can turn children into cannibals. We're not sure where his supposed research comes from but we hope there is immense verification conducted on this information and children eating eggs are being monitored closely, just in case they start eating humans next. Well, it only leaves us to imagine what would happen if people ate 'Ram Laddoos' on a daily basis though. #WATCH Madhya Pradesh (MP) BJP leader Gopal Bhargava on MP government's proposal to distribute eggs at Anganwadis says, "Bharat ke jo sanskar hain, sanatan sanskriti mein mansahaar nished hai. Agar bachpan se hi hum ise khaayenge toh bade ho kar nar bhakshi na ho jaayen." Just recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Kashi Mahakal Express that links three Jyotirlingas in two states and we're not kidding when we say it's the holiest train running across the country. For the first time in the history of Indian Railways, we'll have a deity onboard travelling with us because Lord Shiva is literally going to be our co-passenger if we ever decide to travel on this train! © Twitter Seat number 64, in coach B5 of the train, is reserved and left vacant for Lord Shiva, and we're quite astounded by the faith put in the Lord Almighty for people to assume he would need trains to travel around the country. à¤à¤§à¥à¤¨à¤¿à¤ सà¥à¤µà¤¿à¤§à¤¾à¤à¤ सॠलà¥à¤¸ बनारस सॠà¤à¤à¤¦à¥à¤° à¤à¥ बà¥à¤ #KashiMahakalExpress à¤à¥à¤°à¥à¤¨à¥¤ à¤à¥ दà¥à¤¶ à¤à¥ धारà¥à¤®à¤¿à¤, साà¤à¤¸à¥à¤à¥à¤¤à¤¿à¤ à¤à¤° à¤à¤¤à¤¿à¤¹à¤¾à¤¸à¤¿à¤ महतà¥à¤µ à¤à¥ नà¤à¤° à¤à¥à¤¸à¥, पà¥à¤°à¤¯à¤¾à¤à¤°à¤¾à¤, लà¤à¤¨à¤, à¤à¤¾à¤¨à¤ªà¥à¤°, à¤à¤¾à¤à¤¸à¥, बà¥à¤¨à¤¾, सà¤à¤¤ हिरदाराम (à¤à¥à¤ªà¤¾à¤²) à¤à¥ à¤à¥à¤¡à¤¼à¥à¤à¥à¥¤ pic.twitter.com/2Z2ZPIdZVF â Ministry of Railways (@RailMinIndia) February 16, 2020The deity's compartment is decorated with pictures and garlands, making it seem like a mini temple for Lord Shiva. We're sure, everyone who is an ardent Lord Shiva bhakt will definitely do this journey one way or another. In a rather swift yet witty move, following the news about the Kashi Mahakal Express, the AIMIM President, Asaduddin Owaisi Tweeted a photo of the Preamble to the Prime Minister, reminding him of what the constitution states. We also have a 'Ramayana' themed train on the cards and we're not quite sure what to make of that just yet. But the railways have announced that the 'Ramayana Express' will have a Ramyana theme, while playing religious songs, so the passengers get the feel of travelling in a temple. The train is likely to be launched after March 10, said Railway Board Chairman V.K. Yadav on Friday, adding that the train schedule will be released in the coming week. âThe train will originate from different locations, north, south, east and west, so that people from across the country can avail its services. The exterior and the interiors of the train will be Ramayana-themed. We can have bhajans playing on board .... IRCTC is planning the schedule and packages, and we are hoping to run the train after Holi,â he further added. So while both Lord Ram and Lord Shiva get their respective modes of transport, we're wondering why the other Gods have been deliberately left out of this wonderful reservation scheme. While secularism is the current flavour for the nation, we should probably be more explanatory about it so our authorities can understand what it really means. Meanwhile, here's your chance to meet God and have a word or two while travelling with him. View the full article

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bismillah Engineering, Shahid Shafiq, was presented before the court under strict security after his one-day physical remand ended today. The NAB had launched an investigation against the management, officers, and officials of the Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC), management and owners of Lahore Casa Developers, officers and officials of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) after the government cancelled the award of the Ashiana-e-Iqbal housing scheme to the successful bidder M/S Chaudhry Latif and Sons. The award was given to M/S Lahore Casa Developers (JV) ? a proxy group of M/S Paragon City (Pvt) Limited (which is stated to be developed by Railways Minister Saad Rafique) ? hence causing a loss of millions of rupees to the exchequer. Shafiq's company was part of the joint venture Lahore Casa Developers that NAB has said was ineligible to receive the contract. 'Cheema awarded contract to ineligible company' A NAB spokesperson on Sunday stated that, in 2015, former LDA director general Ahad Cheema had misused his authority with criminal intent to award a contract to Bismillah Engineering ?a C-4 company part of the joint venture Lahore Casa Developers that was ineligible for the contract. Bismillah Engineering was only eligible to receive contracts up to 150 million rupees, the NAB spokesperson had stated, adding that Cheema caused a loss of 455 million rupees to the national exchequer. The company owned ninety percent shares, while Sparco Construction Company and China First Metallurgical held ten percent shares each yet a joint venture of the three companies was awarded a contract in 2015. Why Ahad Cheema?s arrest ruffled so many feathers? In the bureaucratic circles, there was astonishment, even disbelief over Cheema's arrest The NAB spokesperson had further said that 61,000 citizens had filed requests for the Ashiana Housing Scheme and paid 60 million rupees in processing fees. The cost of the project had increased due to a delay. Cheema had also obtained a 32-Kanal piece of land in Lahore Cantonment, registered in the name of his cousin and siblings Ahmed Cheema and Sadia Mansoor, the NAB spokesperson had stated.
While cows are considered sacred in India and mostly in Uttar Pradesh, it seems like there is no value of a human, even after death. This bitter reality was realised by a man in Uttar Pradesh when his son passed away. After his teen son died at a hospital in Uttar Pradesh, this father was offered no transport to return home. In a devastated condition, the man carried his 15-year-old's body first on his shoulders and then on a bike in Etawah in the western part of the state till he reached his village, seven kilometres away. The tragic incident is ironic with the fancy new ambulance service for cows in Lucknow that was launched on the same day - Monday. The scheme, which provides a total five equipped with enough tools for a basic surgery, is paid for and run by an NGO. It was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya and plans to cover large parts of the state in time. The ambulance service was reportedly launched so that it can rescue injured and ill cows, and to take them to 'gao shalas' or a veterinary clinic for treatment.
