Cyberpunk 2077 is coming out very soon and we've been learning a lot about it in these final few days leading up to the big release. Now, a Cyberpunk RPG creator has revealed some of the game's best features. Cyberpunk RPG creator Mike Pondsmith has been working with CD Projekt Red as a consultant on Cyberpunk 2077 since the beginning. So naturally, he's bound to know a lot more about the game than anybody outside of CD Projekt Red. 10. Days. Left.#Cyberpunk2077 pic.twitter.com/OLUgHwr3Ln — Cyberpunk 2077 Countdown (@CP2077Countdown) November 30, 2020 When he was asked about the game, he revealed something very special about the Night City. Night City, for those of you who don't know, is the city in which we'll be spending most of the time in the game. Here, what he said - “I walk around. I go where I’m not supposed to go. I stand on street corners … It’s great because there are moments where somebody walks by. And they’re having a real conversation. And I listen in. Just as I would on a real street. I’m thinking, ‘Well, it’s not my business … but it does sound like an interesting story.'” This shows how interactive the city is. The vibrancy and the liveliness of Night City is something that we're super excited to check out. It's also going to be a key part of the game, to say the least. We're also expecting some really good quests, side missions, and other RPG mechanics that'll enable us to get a proper feel for the city as we're playing. © CD Projekt Red As we mentioned earlier, it's only a matter of days before we get our hands on the game and we just can't wait to play it. Be sure to check out our Cyberpunk 2077 page in the meantime in case you want to learn more about it. Source: Kotaku View the full article

  10. It has been over a decade since we experienced arguably the best tennis match of all time when a 22-year-old Rafael Nadal faced off against a 26-year-old Roger Federer in the 2008 Wimbledon final. The event which lasted for four hours and 48 minutes of pure playtime was the longest tennis match at the time and provided more than enough moments that would lead to countless articles, books and documentaries in the years to come. From the massive archive of the timeless classic comes a documentary named Strokes of Genius: Federer v Nadal based on L. Jon Wertheim’s book titled Strokes of Genius: Federer, Nadal and the Greatest Match Ever Played, that while focusing on the 2008 clash also covers all the stories that led to that one historical day. Here are five things about the Federer-Nadal 2008 Wimbledon classic revealed in Strokes of Genius: 1. Sitting In The Same Locker Room © Reuters While it is a common-known fact that competitors share the same locker room at Wimbledon and while normally the two players see each other in the room once before the match and once after it, the 2008 Wimbledon final had something else in store for the two legends. Nadal was up by two sets and Federer was struggling to keep up with the young bull. The Swiss maestro’s five-year Wimbledon streak was at stake and the rain brought everything to a sudden halt, taking away all of Nadal momentum. Federer came back to win two straight sets and tie the match. The second time rain delayed the match, the duo had to spend 30 minutes inside the locker room before they could end the epic battle in overwhelming darkness for good. Federer and Nadal both talk about whatever went on in their mind when they’d sit in the room, their forms completely disrupted by the weather and the mental resolve needed to brush the tiredness away and get back on the court three times in the same match. 2. Roger Federer’s Transition From Short-Tempered Player To A Silent Assassin © Reuters Videos of a younger Roger Federer’s prodigal talent can be seen throughout the documentary and Federer himself talks about his not-so-calm attitude growing up as a professional tennis star. At 16 years of age, Federer went against Andre Agassi in Basel and won the Boys Singles and Doubles finals at the 1998 Wimbledon. He was a great competitor but didn’t hold back in showing his rage on court. Contrary to popular belief, Federer wasn’t arrogant or condescending towards his opponents but was simply angry at himself. His losses affected him more severely than it did the rest of the kids of his age. With time, Federer experienced a lot of failures before his time as the most dominating force on court came. By the time he won his first Wimbledon in 2003, Federer had learnt how to channel his anger into his shots and become a calm “brush-stroke impressionist”. 3. Rafael Nadal’s Coach/Uncle Thought He’d Lose © Reuters Tennis may be the only sport in the world in which a player isn’t allowed to talk to his coach during the game. He is, by all means, on his own and must fight the battle alone. For the first two sets of the match, Nadal was dominating the battle but when Federer took away the first two championship points away from him, the chinks in his armour began to show. © Reuters With the weather disrupting Nadal’s momentum, a nagging leg injury subdued by anesthesia, a relentless Federer unwilling to let go of his title as ‘King of Grass’ and the worst-timed double-fault in the fourth set by the southpaw convinced his coach and uncle Toni Nadal that maybe the match wasn’t his to win. 4. What Happens When One Half Of A Rivalry Quits © Reuters The documentary makes a very subtle yet important reference to how important it is to have a rival in the game of tennis. John McEnroe could barely hold back his tears while talking about the time his greatest rival Bjorn Borg abruptly quit the game in 1981. McEnroe said he urged his rival to come back. It was because of Borg that McEnroe was able to play at such a high level, he was important to his legacy and that of tennis but Borg said that he’d simply lost the willingness to play. Federer confesses that he was able to keep playing great tennis only because of the presence of Rafael Nadal on the map. “I had to embrace the idea of a rival,” Federer says. “In the beginning I didn’t want to have one but eventually I realised that there is something good to get out of these situations. Maybe I need to adjust my game a little bit - I don’t like to do that, per say but why not? Let’s go!” 5. Shift In Power Struggle? © Reuters As the distance between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in terms of Grand Slam titles is finally deleted with the former winning the 2020 French Open earlier this year, the discussion about who is better amongst the two has gotten even more difficult to become a part of. The documentary and the book instead of dwelling on another such discussion, decides to look at the two titans as artists, belonging to very different schools of thought and champions in their own respective approaches. Roger Federer - the King of Grass, Rafael Nadal - the King of Clay and a rivalry for generations to talk about. ~ Strokes of Genius: Federer V Nadal is now live on Discovery Plus App. View the full article
  11. The iPhone has been known to be the most water-resistant smartphone ever made and it seems like Apple has made further improvements in this department with the iPhone 12. There have been instances in the past where iPhones have been discovered under lakes and oceans in perfect working condition even after days. The iPhone has been found to survive underwater well over its rated 6-feet certification and it seems like this latest test reveals how good the iPhone 12 is. © Youtube-Nikias Molina The iPhone 12 has an IP68 rating which means it can survive to a maximum depth of 6 metres (19.6 feet) for 30 minutes. However, there have been many cases where smartphones have managed to last underwater for a longer period of time and at deeper depths. YouTuber EverythingApplePro put the iPhone 12, as well as an iPhone 11, in an underwater stress test. It was found that the iPhone 12 and in fact, even the iPhone 11 remained unfazed submerged underwater at 9.1 metres (at least 25 feet) for 21 minutes or so. The test revealed the smartphone worked in perfect order with no issues after drying off the smartphone. The underwater stress test sees both iPhones submerged into a lake in the Pacific Northwest. © Youtube - Nikias Molina “iPhones now, you do not need to worry about freshwater. IP68 at 6 metres is no joke,” says the YouTube channel. “The iPhone 12 truly is the most waterproof iPhone yet,” said EverythingApplePro. Last year, divers found an iPhone X deep underwater at a lake after two days and it was found in working condition. In another case, an iPhone was found in a river after two months and was still in working order. © Apple The iPhone 12 is being touted as Apple’s most powerful and fastest smartphones ever. In fact, a recent benchmark test results show how the iPhone 12 put every Android device to shame with its performance. The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro will be available to purchase in India from October 30th via e-commerce websites, Apple’s official online store and via authorised resellers. 13. Earlier this week, Sony finally revealed the complete teardown of the PlayStation 5 and we got to see some interesting components and the motherboard of the upcoming console. We also got to see a massive fan, NVME SSD slots, and all the ports that will be available on the console. However, the one thing everyone noticed was the fact that the console was too large. The teardown explains why the console is so massive and it has a lot to do with the console being a powerful upgrade. © Sony PlayStation If you’ve used the PlayStation 4 recently, you may have noticed your console sounds like a jet engine when playing any of the recent titles. In fact, the console starts to sound like a jet engine as it is pushing the hardware to its limits to keep it cool. Well, it seems like Sony has rectified that problem with the PlayStation 5 so that a similar situation doesn’t arise with the PlayStation 5. For starters, the backside of the entire console is an exhaust port. And in order to keep the console cool, it needed to have a large chassis so that the fan can draw in air from both sides. There’s also a massive heatsink inside the console which absorbs the heat generated inside to achieve the same performance as a vapour chamber. © Sony PlayStation The other reason why the console is so large is simply to reduce dust build-up inside the console while the primary reason is to keep the console cool and not create a lot of noise due to dust build-up. That’s the explanation given by Sony engineer Yasuhiro Ootori in the teardown video. © Sony PlayStation Now we know why the PlayStation 5 is such a large console. Ootori makes clear that the size enables for a "dramatic improvement in performance in terms of processing power and quietness.” The two components that contribute to such a large chassis of the console is the massive heatsink which takes up a lot of the internal space and the fan. © Sony PlayStation While the sheer size of the console might not be ideal for fitting it into your TV cabinet, at least it should be quieter and cooler than the PlayStation 4. It will prevent any sort of thermal throttling and in turn have a positive effect on the console’s performance. As it is touted to be the most powerful PlayStation console yet, the large size was expected as the components inside will generate a lot of heat. The PlayStation 5 is all set to launch next month all over the world, however there is no word when it will be available in India and at what price. We can expect Sony to announce the details soon, however the Japanese company is currently under a Trademark battle with a person who filed the PS5 trademark three months before Sony. We should expect something soon once the problem is resolved by all parties involved. View the full article
