Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam, and Nimrat Kaur-starrer Dasvi, directed by Tushar Jalota, finally premiered on Netflix and JioCinema yesterday (April 7). Critics are giving it a mixed response, however, the film is getting an encouraging response from fans. View this post on Instagram While celebrities usually take constructive feedback in their stride, sometimes reviewers hit below the belt for no reason. Something similar has happened with Yami Gautam, who slammed a portal for taking digs at her in their Dasvi review. While nothing has been mentioned about her performance, the review states that she is "no longer the dead girlfriend" and her "combative smile" is getting repetitive now. View this post on Instagram This irked the Vicky Donor actress who called the review "extremely disrespectful" in a series of tweets and requested the portal to "not review her performance henceforth". My recent films & performances include 'A Thursday', 'Bala', 'Uri' etc & yet this is qualified as a 'review' of my work! It's extremely disrespectful! — Yami Gautam Dhar (@yamigautam) April 7, 2022It's heartbreaking since I did look up to @FilmCompanion once upon a time, like many of us, but I don't seek that since long now! I would request you not to 'review' my performance henceforth ! I'll find grace in that & it'll be less painful. — Yami Gautam Dhar (@yamigautam) April 7, 2022 In the latest turn of events, The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri has praised Yami for speaking up against the "vicious mafia". In a tweet, he appreciated the actress and stated that her talent needs "no certificates". He tweeted, "Bravo, @yamigautam for speaking up. You need no certificates for your talent from this vicious mafia led by @anupamachopra". Take a look at his post below: Bravo, @yamigautam for speaking up. She even urged her followers to watch the film, which depicts the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. View this post on Instagram Coming back to Dasvi, the film revolves around the importance of education in today's times. While Abhishek plays a politician who decides to appear for the Class 10 board exams from jail, Nimrat plays his wife. Yami, on the other hand, is essaying the role of an IPS officer. Penned by Ritesh Shah, the social comedy is bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films in collaboration with Jio Studios. View the full article

After the success of A Thursday, Yami Gautam is all set to entertain fans with her latest release, Dasvi. Co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur in the lead roles, the film premiered on Netflix and JioCinema today (April 7) and is getting a positive response from fans. View this post on Instagram While celebrities always look forward to the reviews of their films, Yami isn't too happy with one of them. Taking to social media, the Vicky Donor actress slammed a portal over Dasvi criticism and stated the platform "keeps trying to pull you down consistently" and that's why she decided to speak about it. She also shared a screenshot from the portal's Dasvi review which states that Yami's combative smile is starting to get repetitive. Expressing her disappointment on Twitter, Yami wrote, "Before I say anything else, I’d like to say that I usually take constructive criticism in my stride. But when a certain platform keeps trying to pull you down consistently, I felt it necessary to speak up about it". Pakistan confident of getting seventh IMF review passed easily
ADMIN posted a blog entry in Geo News Blog
Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin says govt and IMF had no difference of opinion over macroeconomic figures till December 2021 -
When the movie The Kashmir Files was released, no one thought it would turn up to become a topic of national debate. Especially the Bollywood fraternity, which is now being accused by several people on Twitter of being silent over the film that sought to bring light to the horrendous exodus of Kashmiri Pandits back in the 1990s. © Zee Studios From calling out big Bollywood stars for not promoting the movie to criticizing those who are taking the impact of this film seriously, the audience seems to have developed a connection with the film and with what Vivek Agnihotri aspired to get across to the Indian audience. Perhaps that is why, when film critic Anupama Chopra, decided to first not review the film and subsequently, had a rather unflattering review of ‘The Kashmir Files’ posted on her publication - Film Companion, some people didn’t take it all too well. Having become a sudden cause of concern, a lot of people on social media are dissing the Indian journalist and film critic for her remarks and commentary on the latest release ‘The Kashmir Files’. For the uninitiated, she took a stance of not receiving the film since she claims to have already been called ‘biased’ and decided to maintain silence over it. However, in the review that her website Film Companion posted, written by Rahul Desai, the film was called a ‘defensive and dishonest dive into the past’. In fact, a part of the review even said, “Dramatizing a story of persecution and oppression is not a problem; the lesser-known Children of War comes to mind. Designing it solely to provoke and prey on the insecurities of today is a problem. This is less of an education and more of a defensive political statement and living-room debate parading as a movie.” #TheKashmirFiles @anupamachopra : You r a biased reviewer in the mould of a jihadist sympathiser. My wife is a Kashmiri Pandit. The stories mentioned are true. For you to whitewash the genocide - you are pathetic. Cc: @TheAtulMishra @vivekagnihotri https://t.co/SayFRZn9Tl — ANJAN SENGUPTA (@anjansengupta16) March 12, 2022 Other excerpts from the review read, “the treatment is so desperate to villainize the Kashmiri Muslims that it ends up reducing the Kashmiri Hindus to cultural corpses; I’m not sure which community might be more offended.” This is such an atrocious review of #KashmirFiles Filmcompanion is owned by Anupama Chopra whose husband Vidhu Vinod Chopra made a movie to white wash Kashmir hindu gen0cide. So they are upset on #VivekAgnihotri for bringing out truth of Kashmir https://t.co/ioVtXXriJE — Swathi Bellam (@BellamSwathi) March 11, 2022 In an article posted by Op India, the review on Anupama Chopra’s website was called ‘stomach-turning’ as the writer wrote, “By publishing this stomach-turning review of The Kashmir Files, Anupama Chopra has chosen to savour the blood spilt by the Islamic terrorists and revel in the trauma of Hindus.” Pathetic! Anupama Chopra giving 2 stars for Uri, 1.5 starts for Kashmir files and Gehraiyaan 4 is just. What a joke!! Im boycotting this manipulative channel #boycottfilmcompanion — Bhagyashree (@Bhagyas67397172) March 13, 2022 Meanwhile, people on Twitter are dropping comments like, “You're a biased reviewer in the mould of a jihadist sympathiser. My wife is a Kashmiri Pandit. The stories mentioned are true. For you to whitewash the genocide - you are pathetic.” This is how the leftists are plaguing the country. First, they denied Kashmiri Pandits' genocide. When slapped (hard) with the truth, they played it down by misrepresenting it as "mere exodus" and try to dampen their story.https://t.co/MFWM40NNHv — Anubhav Garg (@anubhavreads) March 14, 2022 Another user wrote, “Pathetic! Anupama Chopra gives 2 stars for Uri, 1.5 stars for Kashmir files and Gehraiyaan 4 is just. What a joke!! Im boycotting this manipulative channel #boycottfilmcompanion.” Unimpressed by her take on the film, especially since her own husband is a Kashmiri Hindu, people have called her and her website’s remarks on the film, ‘distasteful’.
