  1. The war of words between video content platforms YouTube and TikTok began a couple of weeks ago when CarryMinati decided to roast Amir Siddiqui in a video titled âYouTube Vs Tiktok - The Endâ and it ended up taking over the internet. His video got polarising reviews. Not only did it become the most liked (non-music) video on YouTube India but also made those who were against the Chinese app, create fake Google accounts just to give bad ratings to TikTok on the Play Store and App Store. On the other hand, the supporters of Amir and other TikTok fans went on the offence and got CarryMinatiâs video pulled down by reporting it to YouTube, the company itself. While some find CarryMinatiâs videos entertaining and unconditionally hilarious and even call him the best âroasterâ of India, others have called him crass, sexist and somebody who doesnât understand what âcomedyâ really is. Indian comedian Kunal Kamra clearly belongs to the second category as the man uploaded a video on his YouTube channel titled âAaja Beta Carry Teko Roast Sikhaye!â on Friday in which he roasts the young online sensation. He talks about how in the name of comedy, CarryMinati only knows how to abuse, doesnât take the time to write his âjokesâ and essentially, how much his content sucks (followed by a million OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHâs). Now, some people are calling out Kamra for trying to make his cut to trending fame by getting involved in something he had nothing to do with in the first place, and that he only wanted to show that he is relevant as well. I think the only reason that #kunalkamra made this shitty video is so that @CarryMinati would notice him, roast him back and he would gain some publicity and attention of #carryminatiâs fan-club to make himself famous and known. Cheap trick but canât expect more!#carryminati â Amruta Chandra (@amy_chndra) May 30, 2020 However, it seems as if Kamraâs move to roast the hottest YouTuber in India right now simply blew up in his face. The video was uploaded less than 24 hours ago and while it has gotten over two million views, it has also garnered over seven lakh dislikes. Many have confessed to not even watching the first minute of the video and simply going to the link just to press the dislike button. And believe it or not, Twitter has been overflowing with CarryMinati supporters conducting a roast for themselves with Kamra at the centre of it: After seeing Kunal kamra roasting carry minati... 3. A few years ago, Shubman Gill was being looked upon as a budding batsman who could potentially realise his dreams of playing for the Indian cricket team. And, by the time India clinched the 2018 U-19 World Cup trophy, Gill, who was eventually adjudged the 'Player of the Tournament', was hailed as a key ingredient to his team's success in the tournament. Upon his success in the U-19 World Cup, many wondered if he had the temperament of repeating his heroics while playing with proven masters of the game. But, Gill, since then, continues to dish out one brilliant performance after another, bolstering his case for selection in the national team. © Twitter/@IPL From turning heads in the Indian Premier League (IPL), earning a national call-up to raking in runs on the domestic circuit, the 20-year-old, in the past year or so, remains one of the most consistent performers in Indian cricket. His consistency in batting and the temperament of a proven batsman has allowed him to capture the imagination of cricket fans. When will @KKRiders make @RealShubmanGill the captain ? #AskSrk â Vivek Subramaniam (@viveks1996) January 22, 2020 And, that's probably why a cricket fan ended up asking Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan as to when his franchise will make the young Gill the captain of their team. "When will @KKRiders make @RealShubmanGill the captain?," the fan asked on Twitter. As soon as KKR makes you the Head Coach my friend. https://t.co/1SSCwWLS8E â Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) January 22, 2020 The Bollywood superstar has been vocal about his admiration for Gill in the past, but he came up with a witty response to the query of the fan in his recent interaction, a candid Q&A, on Twitter. Responding to the question in his own uncanny manner, 'King Khan' wrote: "As soon as KKR makes you the Head Coach my friend". As soon as Shah Rukh posted his response, netizens began sharing their own views on the hilarious banter between the Bollywood actor and the poor fan. #SavageReplies ??@Bazmccullum #AskSRK pic.twitter.com/UeDgmSSgCq â KolkataKnightRiders (@KKRiders) January 22, 2020 ?????? 4. Football, as a sport, has no dearth of exciting talents and iconic superstars who've managed to carve their own niche in the beautiful game over the years. While some win coveted trophies and awards, others elate fans with their impeccable football skills. But, then there are those who serve as great characters in the sport for being true to their own, uncanny nature. And, without a doubt, Zlatan Ibrahimovic belongs to the latter category. From a rare breed of footballers, Ibrahimovic is one of the most entertaining characters to have graced the beautiful game. He is a prolific striker who has a knack for scoring impossible goals. From the overhead bicycle kick to long-range screamers, Ibrahimovic has scored it all to become an absolute fan-favourite. Take Zlatan Ibrahimovic for example, he's mostly considered to be funny because he is so arrogant. I've never been called out for retweeting a video of his. pic.twitter.com/q79ADgoNYi — ineshelene (@inihelene) July 14, 2019 But, as much as his crazy goals, Ibrahimovic is also famous for his uncanny behaviour and quirky responses off the field. Whether he is plying his trade on the field or giving an interview off it, the moment you see Ibrahimovic in the spotlight, you know something's going to happen (generally entertaining). He may no longer be in his prime, but there seems to be slowing down for Zlatan, neither in terms of skills nor in quirky remarks. In the latest incident of Zlatan being Zlatan, the Swedish footballer didn't just take a dig at Cristiano Ronaldo, but absolutely roasted him with a savage comment. MLZ @LAGalaxypic.twitter.com/X8YvMO8cRW — Zlatan IbrahimoviÄ (@Ibra_official) April 1, 2018 Following a sensational run in the Major League Soccer (MLS), Zlatan has been linked with AC Milan with a possible move to join the Serie A football club. Owing to the speculations, the 38-year-old was recently asked whether he will find competition from Ronaldo who recently picked the Best Player award in the Italian league. © Reuters Responding to the burning question in the most Zlatan manner, the former LA Galaxy star claimed that the Portuguese is not even the real Ronaldo. “I will find the real Ronaldo in Italy? None of it. There is only one Ronaldo, the Brazilian!,” he said in a recent interview with GQ. Zlatan has always looked up to Brazilian legend (Ronaldo), who played for teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter and AC Milan. “When he played, everyone wanted to copy it, the movement, that little bag, bam-bam. He had too elegant a style. He was the one who made me stand in front of the television watching the game,” he added. View the full article
  5. Every sport does have its own set of rules, but they don't cover all the aspects of the game, and this grey area is where the concept of sportsmanship comes into play. This year's Indian Premier League has been off to a surprising start since the beginning. Beginning from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) getting bowled out for 70 in the opening match, to Sunil Narine and Jasprit Bumrah getting injured in the following games. And now, Monday's match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is the talk of the town for Ravi Ashwin's 'Mankading' incident. Chasing a target of 184, RR were in a commanding position with Jos Buttler (69) striking the ball to all corners of Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium. But in the 13th over, as Buttler was standing at the non-striker's end and had hardly been out of the crease (which all runners tend to do in order to complete the run more quickly), Ashwin indulged in an unlikely act not expected of international cricketers. He stopped in the middle of his bowling action, turned around, and knocked the bails right off the wickets next to him. © Instagram In the post-match conference, Ashwin did justify his action by saying “ It was not planned or anything like that, it is in the rule of the game and I don't know where the does the understanding of the spirit of the game comes in because quite naturally if it's there in the rules, it's there.” The internet, however, took it with a grain of salt. This 'Mankading' infuriated cricket fans and experts alike, most notably the legendary Australian leggie Shane Warne, who is also the former coach of Rajasthan Royals. View this post on Instagram Ash speaks! Here are his views on the most talking point of the #VIVOIPL this far ð¤ð¤ #RRvKXIP A post shared by IPL (@iplt20) on Mar 25, 2019 at 12:49pm PDT After the incident, Warne criticised Ashwin's act and called it a disgrace to the spirit of the game, stating: “So disappointed in @ashwinravi99 as a Captain & as a person. All captains sign the #IPL wall & agree to play in the spirit of the game. RA had no intention of delivering the ball - so it should have been called a dead ball. Over to u BCCI - this a not a good look for the #IPL.” So disappointed in @ashwinravi99 as a Captain & as a person. All captains sign the #IPL wall & agree to play in the spirit of the game. RA had no intention of delivering the ball - so it should have been called a dead ball. Over to u BCCI - this a not a good look for the #IPL — Shane Warne (@ShaneWarne) March 25, 2019 This tweet invoked an unexpected response from noted cricket expert Harsha Bhogle, who shockingly supported Ashwin's claim. *drum roll; grab your popcorn* You're about to witness one of the most delicious Twitter battles. Harsha you are missing the point completely & I'm disappointed in you as you always push the spirit of the game - now you condone this behaviour ? Ashwin's actions were simply disgraceful, and I hope the BCCI doesn't condone this sort of behaviour in the #IPL ! #spiritofthegame https://t.co/BsIKDBN51X — Shane Warne (@ShaneWarne) March 25, 2019 Harsha, if that had of been an international player you would have nailed him ! Please do not be bias & stick up for your own. Any player in the game that does that to anyone is an embarrassment to the game & as captain it's even more disgraceful ! #spiritofthegame ! https://t.co/4PqLL1MzBT — Shane Warne (@ShaneWarne) March 25, 2019 More importantly, the Indian fans, who usually tend to support a fellow countryman, asserted that the spirit of the game is kept intact. They believe, in this case, that there is no point of winning if you are not playing in the spirit of the game. Here's how cricket fans around the world reacted to the 'Mankading incident: Does a bowler get a warning for overstepping the mark? NO BALL every time. Batsmen get a free hit and the advantage of umpire going to DRS for no ball on dismissal. Stay in your crease or you'll be greased. 9. Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh, two of the most powerful, energetic and talented actors are soon going to grace the couch of Karan Johar's controversial and masaledar show; and holding on to our excitement has now become tougher than ever. Twitter 'Koffee With Karan' is back with its sixth season and even before its premiere, the show has already been turning heads and grabbing eyeballs with its impressive guest list. According to reports, Bollywood's OG 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar and talent powerhouse Ranveer Singh will soon appear on 'Koffee With Karan' and while Johar is known for roasting his guests and asking them all sorts of controversial and personal questions, I guess we all know who will be roasted by the end of the show. Instagram Earlier, it was rumoured that Bollywood's 'King Khan', Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana will be the first guest of the show. In fact, it was said that she will appear with her parents. While we don't see that happening anytime soon, almost everyone knows by now that Saif Ali Khan and his daughter Sara Ali Khan will be the firsts guests on the show. Karan Johar shared the picture on his Instagram and wrote, "Today was day 1 for the shoot of #koffeewithkaran! 10. It seems like The United States of America is in a weird alternate timeline because nothing seems to be going right there and nothing makes sense. The President himself has been accused of sexual misconduct from several women and he was still elected to lead the country because people can just be so damn stupid at times. And now, the President's nominee for the Supreme Court is the biggest name in the country and the world right now for all the wrong reasons. If you're not living under a rock, you probably have heard at least something about the drama that's going down with Brett Kavanaugh. But, just to sum it up quickly, here's what has gone down – - Christine Blasey Ford reaches out to her congresswoman with concerns about Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court. - Just a couple of days after that, President Trump announces Kavanaugh as his pick for the Supreme Court. - Fast forward a couple of months, Ford's accusations are made public and then another woman, Deborah Ramirez, also comes out with her story about Kavanagh's misconduct. - Kavanaugh has obviously denied all the allegations. - There's a report detailing a drunken bar fight involving Kavanaugh and three other young men during his time at Yale. Yeah, so a lot has happened with this guy and I feel like he should be considered guilty until proven innocent, which seems highly unlikely. But, what do you do when the situation is so screwed up and there's not much you can do about it? Show your anger online? Wrong, that doesn't work. 11. Modi loves to target the Nehru-Gandhi family and his jibes on the congress dynasty are a crowd-pleaser in his rallies all across the country. It is, then, no big deal for Modi to come out all guns blazing especially in an election where he too knows that the BJP is trailing by some margin. © Twitter Following the script, Modi went on a rant attacking the Congress party while speaking in Bidar for not respecting freedom fighters, especially Bhagat Singh. This is what the Prime Minister said during the rally. When freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Batukeshwar Dutt etc were jailed while fighting for our independence, did any Congress leader go to meet them? But the Congress leaders have the time to meet people who're corrupt & have been jailed, Modi roared. While he did get a massive response from the crowd for his observation, twitter was quick to hand over a history lesson to the PM. Turns out, Nehru did visit Bhagat Singh in jail and twitter showed no mercy in reminding the PM of the fact. There is no failure and there is no research team. 12. Presidents are usually supposed to be quite influential, but Donald Trump has become an inspiration to people, or rather brands, for all the wrong reasons. I'm sure you've seen Trump's train wreck of a tweet from yesterday, you know the one I'm talking about, where the US President is bragging about his 'big red button'. North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 3, 2018 Side note – if you have to brag about something like that, everyone can tell you're just overcompensating. Amidst all the jokes and memes regarding the initial tweet, along with the threat of a Nuclear War being started just for the heck of it, came the most brilliant tweet by KFC. Taking advantage of the meme status that Trump's tweet is bound to receive, the fast food brand used the opportunity to drag their biggest opponent into the fight. The beef between McDonald's mascot Ronald McDonald and KFC's Colonel Sanders is actually iconic, and it's always fun to see brands going at it so publicly, especially when it means taking a dig at Trump in the process. Taking Trump as an inspiration, KFC came up with the best tweet of 2018 till now. McDonald's leader Ronald just stated he has a “burger on his desk at all times”. Will someone from his big shoed, red nosed regime inform him that I too have a burger on my desk, but mine is a box meal which is bigger and more powerful than his, and mine has gravy! #nuclearbutton — KFC UK & Ireland (@KFC_UKI) January 3, 2018 The whole of Twitter's reaction, probably – The tweet by KFC was so on point that it has almost as many retweets as Trump's original one. Everyone, including me, cannot get over the fact that the President of US, who is supposed to be one of the most respected people in the world, is now being dragged down by fast food chains on Twitter, Trump should actually just take a break, at least from Twitter, and just think about his actions and how he got here. But, meanwhile we're just waiting for a Twitter fight between McDonald's and KFC, especially with the threat of a nuclear war looming over our heads, this is the only thing we need right now. Fight pic.twitter.com/a2mkDvl7oN — Mike Donington (@BBUKMIKE) January 3, 2018 McDonald's hasn't replied, maybe because they're just busy crafting the perfect reply, but I believe that they'll roast KFC completely and in the mean time I'll just be glued to Twitter waiting for it. But, honestly I feel bad for President Donald Trump, because he clearly loves his fried chicken, and has one of his happiest pictures till date, posing with his KFC, but sometimes the things we love the most are the ones that betray us. Great afternoon in Ohio & a great evening in Pennsylvania - departing now. See you tomorrow Virginia! pic.twitter.com/jQTQYBFpdb — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 2, 2016
  13. Kumail Nanjiani delivering his monologue on SNL Pakistani-American comedian and actor Kumail Nanjiani made a memorable debut as the host of Saturday Night Live this week, delivering a powerful monologue in which he demolished racists (particularly the dumb ones), and tackled Islamophobia. The Karachi-born, whose rom-com ?The Big Sick? was a big hit this summer, captured the audiences with his wry sarcasm, mixed in with intelligent humour as he addressed a number of issues revolving around his Pakistani heritage, Islam, and racism. He also took aim at internet trolls who complain about ?race-mixing,? and likened the resurgence of Islamophobia to the return of sit-com ?Will & Grace?. ?I came to America, fell in love with a white woman and made a movie about it,? he said in his monologue about ?The Big Sick?, before going on to roast the racist trolls. "A guy said [about The Big Sick], 'I watched the whole movie. I just don't like race mixing.' First of all, nobody good ever uses the phrase 'race mixing'. Even if someone was like, 'I'm pro-race mixing', I'd be like, 'Why are you talking like that? Are you an undercover KKK... dragon?!' ?A lot of people were like, ?Go back to India,'? he told the audience about the Twitter reaction that followed the movie. ?I?ve never been to India. Are you just hoping I?ll have an awesome vacation soon?? ?My problem with most racism is the inaccuracy,? he remarked. "I'm like, 'DO the research. Put in the work. You will see the benefits. "I'll give you an example. If someone yells at me, 'Go back to India', I'll be like, 'That guy's an idiot'. If someone was like, 'Go back to Pakistan, which was part of India until 1947 and is now home to the world's oldest salt mine', I'd be like, 'This guy seems to know what he's talking about. I'll pack my bags.' "Just because someone's racist doesn't mean they have to be ignorant. An INFORMED racist is a BETTER RACIST!" Nanjiani also delved into the rise of Islamophobia. ?Islamophobia is on the rise. It?s like Will & Grace,? he joked in reference to the sitcom making a return on SNL?s home network. ?It was huge awhile ago, we thought it was gone and done forever and now it?s back!? The latest Saturday Night Live episode, with host Kumail Nanjiani and musical guest P!nk, touched the show?s highest metered-market ratings this season, surpassing the season premiere and last week?s second episode. The episode also featured Alec Baldwin?s return as US President Donald Trump and a new Kellyanne Conway film-inspired digital short, this time taking on horror hit ?It?.
  14. Following a horrific start to the season for his boyhood club Everton, England star Wayne Rooney, too, suffered a major blow after being slapped with a two-year driving ban and 12-month community order (100 hours of unpaid work) on the charge of driving under influence. The English footballer was arrested at 21m on 1 September while driving a 29-year-old single mother home in her black Volkswagen Beetle after a night out in Wilmslow, Northwest England. To everyone's surprise, Rooney was almost three times the legal limit when he was stopped by the police. © Reuters A breathalyser test revealed that his alcohol level was 104 microgrammes in 100 mililitres of breath. To put that in perspective, the drink-drive limit in England and Wales is 35 microgrammes per 100 mililitres of breath. After pleading guilty to the charge in court, the Everton footballer issued a statement of apology for his antics. "I want publicly to apologise for my unforgivable lack of judgment in driving while over the legal limit. It was completely wrong. My statement of apology - https://t.co/51WmrVDCev — Wayne Rooney (@WayneRooney) September 18, 2017 I have already said sorry to my family, my manager and chairman and everyone at Everton FC. Now I want to apologise to all the fans and everyone else who has followed and supported me throughout my career. Of course I accept the sentence of the court and hope that I can make some amends through my community service," he said. Rooney's community service will be reduced to 24 weeks if he undergoes a specialist driving course by February 2, 2019. He has also been fined two weeks' wages by his club Everton, reported to amount to 300,000 pounds. © Reuters The all-time leading scorer for England, Rooney announced his retirement from international football last month after 53 international goals in 119 appearances for his country. On Sunday, Rooney made something of an unhappy return to former team Manchester United for the first time since leaving the club to rejoin his boyhood side Everton, being on the wrong end of a 4-0 score line. And, with the latest court verdict on the star, the Twitter users wasted no time in poking fun at Rooney. 15. Spider-man:Homecoming will release on July 7 across the world. Photo: Sony Marvel's upcoming movie Spider-man: Homecoming has garnered enough buzz and impressed everyone with its trailers. However, while the vibe regarding the movie continues to be positive but Marvel's latest movie poster seems a bit hard to digest. The poster is too crowded and seems fan-made. Some of the characters appear twice on the poster including Peter Parker, Tony Stark and Adrian Toomes. Naturally, Twitterati had a field day making fun of the poster. Some raised valid concerns. Some thought there weren't enough characters in the new poster. Silver lining? Some made interesting suggestions. However, it is so weirdest thing is that the initial posters of the movie, different scenes of Spidey hanging around NYC, were simple and pretty cool. Photos: Sony Interestingly, the same day the international poster for the movie was released and it packs a superpowered punch. Photo: Sony The movie will release across the world on July 7.
  16. If you are an avid viewer of Comedy Central, then you must have come across ‘The Daily Show’ and their uber-cool correspondents. Well, among that classy lot, there is one guy whose sass will get too much for America to handle, especially after his latest speech at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner on Saturday. *Drum rolls* Hasan Minhaj, an Indian-American Muslim comedian, despite being asked not to, trolled President Donald Trump like it’s nobody’s business, in front of thousands of journalists who shared a good laugh. For those who aren’t familiar with this guy, he has no connection whatsoever with rapper Nicki Minaj. © Youtube (ABC News) It seems that Hasan too had similar thoughts like us when he asked the question himself, “Who would have thought, with everything going on in the country right now, that a Muslim would be standing on this stage?” Well, we wonder how Trump, who chose to ditch the event and his supporters, would react to his rant. Calling his gig a tribute in the Hunger Games, Hasan left no stone unturned in trolling big media houses, journalists and the administrative supporters who didn’t attend the event in solidarity with Trump. Well, let’s be honest, when the elephant isn’t present in the room, talking about him becomes much more convenient and that’s the opportunity Hasan pounced at and we are glad he did. His one liners, funny punches and message driven jokes made for a great weekend. If you haven’t watched it already, then we are sure your Monday will get better to some extent. From CNN, MSNBC, Fox News to Huffington Post, none were spared by Hasan. In his speech he added that Trump is said to be sober all the time and that he has never touched alcohol, so on what grounds will he justify his tweets? Further, while concluding his speech, Hasan even joked about Trump might confuse him with Nicki Minaj while tweeting about the entire event and we just couldn’t control our laughter. "In four hours, Donald Trump will be tweeting about how bad Nicki Minaj bombed at this dinner." - @hasanminhaj #whcd pic.twitter.com/Dhyq5td8Kp — The Daily Show (@TheDailyShow) 30 April 2017 While the journalists of the world were sharing a good laugh on Hasan’s jokes, Trump was reportedly attending a rally to mark his 100th day in office. 17. The ongoing four-match Test series between India and Australia is arguably turning out to be one of the most exciting duels this year. From individual battles to controversial jibes, Australia's tour of India has witnessed it all. Such has been the intensity that it, apart from cricketers, even got the cricket boards of the two countries at loggerheads, further enticing media scrutiny. And, it appears that the Australian media won't let Virat Kohli catch a break. This Is How Virat Kohli Took Revenge And Trolled Ausies Like A Boss ??#Cricket #AUSvIND #INDvAUS pic.twitter.com/KW3ExN8aM5 — Pakistani Tigers (@PakistaniTiger2) March 19, 2017 Continuing the series of scathing attacks on the Indian captain, the Daily Telegraph recently stooped to a new low after comparing the right-hander with US President Donald Trump. "Virat Kohli has become the Donald Trump of world sport. Just like President Trump, Kohli decided to blame the media as a means of trying to hide the egg smeared right across his face," the Daily Telegraph wrote on its website. This criticism of Kohli didn't just drew a strong response from the Indian cricket fans, but it also instigated Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan to come out all guns blazing. T 2471 - Aussi media calls Virat, Donald Trump of sports !! ... thank you Aussi media for accepting that he is a winner and the PRESIDENT !! pic.twitter.com/ZOoNtuhtC2 — Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) March 21, 2017 Reacting to the claims, the 74-year-old sarcastically thanked the Australian media for accepting the fact that Kohli is a winner and the President. His tweet spread like wildfire and has so far attracted over 1,700 retweets and over 7,700 likes on Twitter. Despite his hectic schedule, the veteran actor follows cricket rather closely and is quite vocal about most of the issues surrounding the game. During the 2016 World T20 tournament, Big B had also kicked up a storm after he tweeted about an Indian commentator's remarks for the Indian team. T 2184 - With all due respects, it would be really worthy of an Indian commentator to speak more about our players than others all the time. — Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) March 23, 2016 His tweet also found support from none other than MS Dhoni who was leading the Indian side during the tournament. Nothing to add https://t.co/8rBel3vw4o — Mahendra Singh Dhoni (@msdhoni) March 23, 2016 Following a raging war on Twitter, the Indian commentator in question was identified as Harsha Bhogle who took to Facebook to explain his situation. Bachchan's tweet, Dhoni's endorsement of it and Bhogle's argument with an official of the Vidarbha Cricket Association, home of the BCCI president Shashank Manohar, are believed to have led to his ouster from the IPL commentary team.
  18. After enduring a crushing 333-run loss in the first Test, the Virat Kohli-led side have been trying to bury the demons of their epic batting failure against a much-superior Australian side in Pune. Riding on a brilliant hundred by Steven Smith, Australia were lifted by a spirited batting display while the Indian team paid dearly for their frailties with the bat to be eventually dismissed for 105 & 107 in two innings. © BCCL The Indian spinners, too, had a bad outing at the MCA stadium but it was the mediocre performance by a star-studded batting line-up that left the home fans fuming. Unhappy with the performance of the Indian batsmen, a fan expressed his emotions on Twitter and gave a suggestion to opener KL Rahul who initially looked in a jovial mood before slamming him with sarcasm. Rahul, who was India's top-scorer in the Pune Test with 74 runs to his name, was involved in friendly banter with his teammate Ravichandran Ashwin. Oh my my.. what a start to the day got the legend @ashwinravi99 to follow me. #humbled #blessed pic.twitter.com/Lyf8hXlNhA — K L Rahul (@klrahul11) February 28, 2017 — K L Rahul (@klrahul11) February 28, 2017 "Oh my my..what a start to the day got the legend @ashwinravi99 to follow me," he tweeted. But, while the Indian opener was thanking Ashwin for following him on Twitter, an Indian fan intervened and advised Rahul to focus on scoring runs. @klrahul11 @ashwinravi99 ye sab chhodo .. runs kaise bane uspe dhyan de .. — BeingChirag Dave (@BeingChiragDave) February 28, 2017 Irked by the tweet, Rahul made full use of his sarcasm and shut the fan with a polite response. Plz come and teach us bhai. Im sure aapko pata hain kaise banate hain runs. https://t.co/KyiuAWFusz — K L Rahul (@klrahul11) February 28, 2017 Rahul has slammed two fifties in 10 outings, with a highest score of 71 across all formats in 2017. The 24-year-old has been a key component of the Indian batting line-up and will be expected to lift the spirits of Indian fans with an improved performance with the willow in the upcoming second Test, slated to begin on 4 March in Bengaluru.
  19. In a bid to overturn their fortunes, Manchester United signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer from French club Paris Saint Germain in the summer. But, at 34, many thought that the Swede was already past his prime and might find it difficult to keep pace with the English game. But, neither the football pundits, nor the fans could have predicted what really has unfolded over the past seven months at Old Trafford. Ibrahimovic has not really adapted to the fast-paced Premier League style but has become one of the most consistent performers for the Jose Mourinho side. © Twitter Ever since his arrival at Man Utd, Ibra has scored 15 goals in the Premier League so far. He has now scored 20 goals and registered five assists in his last 22 outings for the Red Devils. The explosive striker was once again at his prolific best during Man Utd's 3-2 win over Southampton where he scored two goals to propel his side to the EFL Cup title at Wembley. For a man who came on a free transfer, Ibrahimovic has arguably been a revelation for Man Utd. But apart from his football skills, Ibra has often proved that he is slick with his words too. And his teammate Paul Pogba probably learnt it the hard way. © Twitter During a post-match interview after the EFL Cup win, Pogba was told by a reporter that Ibrahimovic was a humble guy. To which the Frenchman quickly replied that it was probably the reason why Man Utd bought him. Paul Pogba "That's why we bought him" Zlatan "Bought me? I came for free. They bought you" ??? pic.twitter.com/GVFq1sD6NG — BeanymanSports (@BeanymanSports) February 26, 2017 And that's when a grinning Ibrahimovic stepped in and stole the moment, leaving the Frenchman in splits. The Swedish striker told Pogba, "Bought me? I came for free. They bought you." While Zlatan joined United on a free transfer, Pogba was bought in for a world record fee in the summer transfer window. But unlike Ibrahimovic, Pogba has failed to justify his price-tag following a series of mediocre performances for United.
  20. Ever since Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States of America, jokes and memes haven’t stopped for even a single day. We are sure that by now even Trump must have become immune to brutal jokes on him. Well, of all jokes, trolls and memes, there is one speech that has been winning internet’s hearts and is pure gold to say the least. If there is any speech that had a powerful impact than Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar-winning speech or Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes’ speech, it has to be actor and comedian Aziz Ansari’s monologue on ‘Saturday Night Live’ where he spoke about Trump aka “Chris Brown of politics” and the people who support him. © Facebook He began the speech with, “Yesterday, Trump was inaugurated. Today, an entire gender protested against him. Wow,” and you already know that a hilarious and sarcastic trip down the ‘presidential’ lane awaits you. Calling them a “thin slice of people” and “lower-case K.K.K. movement”, Ansari minced no words while hitting at Trump’s supporters and the racism that his victory brings with it. Although his word play was on point, it was his subtle sarcastic slaps that made it worth spending the eight and a half minutes watching it. Check out the entire speech here and make sure to hold on to your seat unless you want to fall on the floor laughing. Ansari became a household name after portraying Tom Haverford on ‘Parks and Recreation’, and now is the co-creator and star of his own show ‘Masters of None’. To be honest, ‘Saturday Night Live’ could not have picked a better host for the show than Ansari.
